It really depends what you come up with lore wise for your tribe. For instance, I’m doing a Chinese Great Dao type thing, which is kinda like martial arts but magic.

You could always join as a character and be a wanderer. Perhaps you run across a tribe and join up. Or you get some kind of rare instance where you find other "wanderers" and start a tribe that way.

Interesting, I wonder how mine will end up, if we have a eventual industrial age, my tribe is going to full on worship, machine-gods. Think industrial Britannia making more war machines than economic stuff, and they believe said machines have "spirits" in them.

A part of me, wonders how far that can go. Knowing that merging tribes is likely going to make people lose power, it might be a good idea to perhaps, make a feudal like system. Being that theirs a king with tribes becoming vassals. I don't know how big the map is, but it would allow "realms" to pop up on the map.
