NPC's can be controlled by anyone if the owner allows it. That's why personality is part of the NPC app, so that RPers can focus on their Player chars more than juggling a bunch of random chars.

Perhaps she was raised by a very merit based father, who taught those who actually put effort into trying to learn. With the father dealing against his bumbling idiotic sons, he much prefers (and enjoys) teaching her even if the boy heirs may inherit his titles.

[Abbreviated Title] Lamist Territorial Governorship.

[Ceremonial Title] Ceremonarch, and Hegemon of the Lamist Confederacy.

Governor of His Majesties Mandate of the Lamist Confederacy.

Full Name: Audwin von Richter "the ever wise" of the Lamist Territories

Age: 36.

Appearance: A tall jovial man left bound in a chair following a crippling accident with a horse in a sports competition. His position and wealth afford him the finest clothes, food, and drink, but instead, he chooses to spend his praying, seeking, and giving advice. His face shows the years, but often his name affords him great respect. The most noticeable aspect about his feature is the incredibly large beard that goes down to his arms.

Height and Weight: 6'1, and 200 lbs.

Religion: The Dissenters Church
The Luaricist faith ultimately is sometimes its biggest enemy, and attempts at reform would often be crushed before they reached heights that could make them too much of a threat. In the first war (446-468) Peter von Richter led an expedition against the then independent Lamist dissenters who he believed were funding rebellions in the homeland. The war ultimately ended in a stalemate with only a quarter of the territory ruled, and by 478 the man was dead. The second governor (478-499) Hermann von Richter converted to the dissenters and made peace with the Lamists in the Treaty of Laierpo (479). He was named governor over the territories, but for all intents, and purposes ruled independently for the time being.

The second (480-484), and third (489-493) wars bled the southern lands dry of any fight in them and caused a flood of refugees into the lamist domain. The realm solved the most pressing question of its time through the Council of 494 recognizing the Richter's sovereignty over their lands in exchange for fealty, and payments to the realm as subjects. In, return the area would be a haven for the dissenter' faith and be unmolested by the faith so long as the terms were kept. The same could not be said of the dissenters outside of the area, and ultimately this possibly leads to the death of dissent outside of the Lamist territory (for now).

Culture: Lamist-Galeic (Minority mixed culture established by the expedition)

Biography: The 5th descendant of the Richter Family they have served as "governors" of the Lamist territories for several generations now. His family was given a noble house grant and men in order to bring judgment upon the heretics of the Confederacy only to be bogged down in a long war. The second son converted to the very branch of the faith they had been sent to quash and reunited the Confederacy under his leadership by a treaty marriage. The Richter's were brought into the fold not by war, but treaty essentially rendering them "vassal kings" of a heavily autonomous area. The governors are kings in the lands and abide by thousands of years of tradition in a complicated legal framework.

Royal attempts at putting the territories on the same level as the rest of the realm have failed in part due to the fact treaty forbids it. They house the only legal zones where dissenters can practice their faith freely, and the various cultures here don't take too kindly to foreigners attempting to impose "direct rule". The Richters operate in the name of the king while legally contain all the rights granted to kings and rulers, but choose the title "governor" to offer up some semblance of vassalage. It also prevents the royal government from attempting politically suicidal reforms from the outside which could send the realm spiraling into war. In Audwin's case, he seeks to preserve the current political power his family has amassed, and keep the peace in part of the realm.

Audwin has earned his nickname in part due to his fervent desire to attend any negotiation big or small from all over the realm. His status as a cripple hasn't slowed him down one bit, and as such, any affair will often draw Audwins interests no matter what it is over. Now a young man claims the crown, and whether his iron grip will ensure peace or fracture the realm remains to be seen.

Notable Relationships:

Rivals

1] Morgana Uritz Popaal "The Holy Mother"

Views this woman as an utterly reprehensible person due to their clear use of the faith for their personal advantage rather than helping manage the faithful in the right direction. A series of scathing criticisms has been released by him against her, and in the recent one titled "Abomination", he directly attacks her abundance of wealth.

Neutral
1] George Uritz Papaar

Audwin feels personally sorry for this man of the faith but doesn't hate him knowing in truth his mother's machinations, and schemes gained him the position most sought in the mainstream branch of the faith.

2] The Royalty

Audwin understands by treaty, and other accords he has obligations to fulfill to the realm but doesn't know what to make of the young king who for all intents, and purposes is a wildcard.

Family Members

Professional Skills: A politically savvy genius heavily into scholarly matters, and maintaining a balanced budget.

Strengths: Invests much time in scholarly subjects and debates. Is often sought for diplomatic matters no matter how big or small.

Weaknesses: The obvious weakness is the fact he is crippled. Another is his constant obsession to involve himself in diplomatic matters which hasn't gotten him into trouble yet but could. Is viewed with suspicion due to being the patron of the dissenter movement as well as its protector ensuring interfaith-relations are murky at best.

Goal:
-A well-known advocate of the royal confederacy model arguing for a decentralized monarchy with the greater power invested in the nobility. Many are attracted to his ideas, but the idea of establishing systems to represent the people are either quaint at best or threatening to the system at worst.
-Encouraging reform within the mainstream faith now that the papacy is splintering into two, and wants a new treaty to protect dissenters all over the realm.
-Expand the influence of the eastern territories company, and preserve the areas neutrality unless war involvement is absolutely necessary.
-Expand the autonomy of the area he serves as governor over as well as the autonomy of the nobility.

Owned Counties:

The Lamist Territories as they are known today have a population that traces its ancestry to the great "far south" with every group commemorating the loss of their old homeland as the sunken continent. The Lamist Confederacy came together out of necessity for these groups to survive in this new land, and the location is no accident. The "far south" is known only to hold the semi-mythical continent of Ergost, but beyond that little was known of its people. It can be confirmed that one year a massive refugee movement did, in fact, occur to this continent, and the exact location the refugees were fleeing from is unknown. Most claim the old continent was sunk in a final blow between the gods raging in the heavens.

Andrus the scholar has compiled most of the knowledge available about the Lamists, their traditions, customs, and more. The "final era" of the continent is his most important piece discussing the rise, and fall of the Axawlan empire before they ultimately collapsed as a result of a plethora of troubles. This coincided ultimately with the continent sinking and the people who survived fleeing here.

36 [The Northlands]
The Northlanders are a hardy group of people who descend from those brought during the "great exile" in the "far south". The Northlander lords commemorate their houses with symbols of raven's in remembrance of a past trickery against them. In Ergost the Axawlans used deception to conquer the northlanders, and they still haven't forgiven them for it. Wind, Storm, and Weather dominate their religious iconography, and references to the death of Telos (the storm god) are featured in them as well. The Northlanders do miss their old gods, but the new one suits them just fine.

The Northlanders hold their dead in serious regard housing them in crypts until their ancestral lands raise up from the sea, and until then they believe the dead can only rest, but not transcend. Northlander succession is determined by contests of strength, and wit valuing honesty, and truth as a way to counter the "great deception". This province is heavily wooded as they carefully cut cities around them remembering the years where unrestricted growth proved chaotic on their environment. The northlanders practice a form of population control where a new member, once they reach the age of ten, has to prove themselves worthy of a family name or die in the thickest of woods alone.

41 [Axawlus]
The Axawlans once held a continental empire in their hands and either as a price of arrogance or other reasons it all came crashing down during the war of the gods. In the last years, they were exceptionally arrogant, and cruel to the point that even their primary deity the mother goddess Allesia sank their capital first before the rest of the continent followed. The Axawlan's are notably heavy city dwellers, and due to unique "cultural justifications" are the only ones in the territories that for all intents, and purposes is "slavery". Their culture is heavily into heritage, and class even with only a fraction of their people remaining they can be very arrogant. Only a minority faction espouse the dissenter worship believing the mother goddess, and others to be dead as shown by the sinking of the continent, and the loss of their empire they also abhor the use of "slaves".

The reform faction keeps the worship of the mother goddess but abandons the sexual excess, and hedonism the religion, and culture carried in its last days. They unlike the uncompromising traditionalist faction want to learn new languages and get over the loss of their empire. The traditionalist faction craves the idea of a shadow empire, and revels in the incest, polygamy, and orgies their culture, and religion once adhered to. They speak only in Axawlan and use translators to handle their needs outside of their territories. Astrology, superstition, omens, and prophecies play an incredible role within their faith.

42 [The Hearthlands]

The Heartlands are the heart of the old Confederacy, and what is known today as the territories. It is home to the minority culture [Lamist- Galeic] as well as a few others. The Hearthlands represent the political, economic, and social "contract" which bind the former confederacy together in heritage, and tradition.

Vargonians
A famed warrior race sought for their talents all across the kingdom they serve primarily in the capital as guardians. They don't believe in the god everyone else does instead choosing to keep to their traditions, and worship the afterlife, their ancestors, and the various spirits wandering the planet. On occasion, they entreat these spirits to possess them for a time in exchange for knowledge, redemption, and other matters. Every Vargonian wears their family crest into battle with their signature shields, and as such aren't too hard to spot.

Kartuks

Once horse lords who roamed Ergost they spent much of their history raiding, slaving, and looting, but now are only nomadic in the loosest sense. They serve the territories as messengers setting up outposts, and trading goods over every end of the former Confederacy. They hold a great race yearly in which participating teams gather a number of tokens representing the various parts of Lamist history. The Kartuks are incredibly eccentric, and the more adorned, and outlandish someone's horse is the more wealthy they likely are.

The Lamists
The Lamists are a mix-mash of cultures at the heart of the former Confederacy. The Lamists practice a strict age-based hierarchy where youth are expected to be wild, and carefree with the true rulers being those who are at the midpoint of life. Hanfu, and kimono style clothing, hair dye, and huge feasts are common parts of the Lamist culture. The dying are celebrated by being paraded around the capital before being given a drink which eases their pain and causes them to pass peacefully. The Dead are interred in large underground catacombs until the appropriate months of winter come along, and funerals are permitted, and the bodies burned.

43 [Ranus]
Ranus is home to a strange group of people known as the Ranites who were just as odd back then as they are today. Descendent from sea raiders, and others they once terrorized the Axawlans before they were subjugated as another addition to the empire. It was from their fleet the great flight commenced allowing the creation of what we know today as the Lamist Confederacy. It is commonly accepted in Ergostian mythos that the war of the gods started over who would have the hand of the beautiful queen Rana. A fair, and just woman she reigned over the islands north of the growing empire until becoming a target for marriage by many of the gods. The father of the sky decreed that Dagos god of the sea would have her, but on the wedding night, she was stolen away by Telos.

Telos was the god of air, storm, and weather patronized by the northlanders who viewed the worshippers of Dagos with suspicion. The war took place over hundreds of years, and in one such incident, the Northlanders were desperate turning to the Axawlans for help. The Axawlans were welcomed into Northlander cities only to turn on them, and slaughter them. For what it was worth the Ranites were brought into submission, but none of the gods came out alright. The palace of Telos was raided and burned, and Queen Rana chose to drown herself rather than be killed in the fight. Dagos heavily wounded and dying returned to the sea on life support with his queen now truly belonging to her as her soul had been snatched before entering the afterlife.

The Ranites witnessing the destruction of the old lands as the last of the gods lay dying decided to abandon the weakened Dagos and put their effort onto their wrongfully taken queen. They worship the god of these new lands but have a special reverence for Rana carrying her image in a necklace hoping her soul will be freed from the tyranny of a slowly dying god. They crowd the docks of every city and spend a half a year out at sea to honor their queen, and half a year on land to honor their new god. The Ranite culture stresses finding a wife through "kidnapping", and taking the families out to see where more, and more time will be spent. From ages 50 to 80 they are required to stay at sea full time until they become too old to manage living out there.

The elderly serve as mediators in the dock towns, and protectors of tradition, and custom. Matters of death often involve strapping the corpse to a raft and letting it sink this ensures that the queen will have a loyal retinue to help free her one day. Only then will the Ranite dead be able to transcend, and rest in peace.

48 [The Southlanders]
The Southlands is a warm temperate region dominated by seven lords who trace their heritage to the "far south" before it sank following the "war of the gods". The culture accepts concubinage and polygamy amongst its ranks with a liberal attitude toward sexuality as well. They were the last independent group to be taken out by the Axawlans who up until a certain point had been practically vassals in both politics, and culture. The Southlands heavily emphasize the supernatural, and miraculous elements of life having festivals for just about anything. They adorn their manors, and large villas with serpent banners to showcase their cautious, but still deadly nature.

The Southlands is a large, and very lush farming area, and as such grand feasts, and large hunting parties are common. Their religious iconography focuses heavily on the sun, moon, stars, and sky with light triumphant over darkness. They believe God to be a successor to the fallen Father of the Sky who maintained the links of creation, and his wife Veraga who spent her days fighting demons. It is believed that during the war when the sky singers stopped singing prayers she fell struck down in combat by evil forces. Only a minority still hold onto the idea that the old gods exist let alone are relevant in culture anymore.

* Many have deified Lama himself as a god of war, conquest, peace, truth, and order as they believe his actions have allowed him to ascend to godhood. This is most unpopular with the Axawlans who believe mortals cannot ascend to godhood.

49 [Tarrus]
A sister group of the Axawlans known as the Tarren's who were early on in the days of the first years of the empire was slaughtered and enslaved. No one particularly knows why, but the survivors fled to the farthest lands and chose to side with other groups in fighting the Axawlans. They have an intense hatred of all things Axawlan but work with them in part because of the fact they are all foreigners in a new land. They heavily ritualize monogamy, chastity, and rejection of worldly goods as a counter to Axawlan excess.

*Personal demense is province 42, but the rest of them are subject to the Richters owing them fealty.

Audio Log of John Andover

Day 328, June 28th, 1988

If only most of the people knew what was going to happen to them here then they might not be so chipper. The Dominion command just sent in another load of people for "reassignment", but the truth is if you get sent to this camp, and in this part of Maine there is no true reassignment except to the grave. We keep up a friendly facade as people hand in their papers, and get sent to various "lines" where they are registered, and looked at by doctors, and nurses. I would like to believe they truly don't know what their decision is really doing to these people, but something tells me they do. In the early days, we just got political prisoners to take out to the woods, and have the robots execute, and bury out in the forest. Now there are no more political prisoners we ran out of them 56 days ago, and instead, we have people who think they are coming here to be cured.

These poor fools are all sick with the Madrid Cough, and seventeen days ago we scrubbed the camp clean and gave it a new idyllic image. In reality, we are no longer just a camp, but a hub of camps and this is just the first stop. The best cases stay here while those in the later stages get moved to another camp for treatment. The truth is there is no cure to be got here we just contain these people till they get better or die. About ten percent of the people get sent to the third camp, but don't actually make it there due to what we have done with the trucks.

The backs of the trucks can take up to thirty people and can seal very tight with a glass window in order for the people to see out. The truth is it serves to calm them down, and give them something to look at while a gas is pumped in that renders them asleep. Another gas is pumped in to finish them off, and then camp unloads them and disposes of them making sure they are dead before turning the crematoriums on. Ever since a few horrific incidents some time back it is now standard procedure to make sure death happens beforehand. To date, approximately ten thousand people have passed through this hub with causes related to Madrid Cough.

Latest estimates from the CDC branches up here indicate that the pandemic hasn't stopped our war effort with the U.S rump state out of Denver in the slightest. Of course, the matter of the southern states, and the plains states need to be resolved since due to their neutrality the actual frontline is relatively smaller than it could be. There is the talk of peace from the Dominion Council out in New York, but that is very unlikely given the war shows no signs of stopping yet. There are whispers at the camp that the Madrid Cough is reaching its peak phase before burnout, and that would be nice. This disease according to the latest reports have only killed thirty million globally, but the majority survive with different degrees of physical disability afterward.

There is also talk of people walking out of the disease just fine, but this could correlate with the severe drop in birthrates. This means potentially half of the global human population is expected to be sterile by the time this is over. They say it is due to the fact the disease can pass through people without even becoming active in the way we see through the people coming here. They say the Germans made it as a way to maim an enemy population in the event they lost. Apparently someone agreed with them, and unleashed the damn thing, but no one knows who did it.

Regardless,

This is chief camp "August" supervisor John Andover signing off.

The Lamist Territories aren't exactly your standard feudal government, and I will expand upon that at a later time.

Thinking of making my chieftain a young man after the death of his father and hasn't been married yet, thus the other tribal families would try to capitalize on this.

Aye, sounds like a plan, but it would be ideal if there is another tribal vassal to try and ally with.

Which there isn't, so interpersonal family politics can work just fine.

Player Character:
Title: (optional)
Full Name: Phoebe Mathilde Rouselle
Age:21
Appearance:

With her striking red hair immediately identifying her as being a daughter of one of the Northern Houses, Phoebe has an image befitting that of a youthful noble maiden. Her physical endeavors have given her a lithe, energetic figure that reflects her usually playful personality although her well-toned muscles are normally hidden beneath the dresses of nobility. While her outings and love for hunting have gained her a few minor scars over the years, the blemishes are relatively minor. She is careful to maintain her outward appearance, both because as much is expected of one of her station, and since she knows all too well the power that comes from being underestimated by one's opponent. To play the delicate courtier is a strategy that can pay dividends.

Height and Weight:5ft 5” and 160 lbs
Religion: Luaricism
Culture: Galeic (Entrusilian)

Biography:
Born as the fifth daughter of the Entrusilian Duke of Tendaal, Phoebe was never going to rise far above the position of her birth. Her Galaecian mother died not long after her birth, leaving her father heartbroken until he poured his love for his wife into raising what remained of their family. Being so far down in the line of succession with the double misfortune of being born daughter and a late-born, her place in the endless manoeuvrings of nobility would have been as little more than a diplomatic tool had her father not insisted otherwise. The Duke went to great lengths to ensure that his only daughter was to be spared no expense and he sought after the best teachers of the land to train her in the proper etiquette and mannerisms of her station. He was determined to honour the memory of his departed wife by ensuring that Phoebe would grow up to be a fine maiden who would make them proud. But, the realities of growing up alongside four older brothers quickly presented themselves.

The young girl rapidly earned herself a mischievous streak as she repeatedly snuck out from the family manor to explore the surrounding woods, oblivious to any dangers that she may have faced in doing so. Her teachers struggled to coerce her into dresses and gowns for her lessons while complaining to her father and aunt that she would show up covered in dirt and grime from her most recent escapade. Rather than scold or forbid the rebellious activity, Phoebe’s father took her personality in his stride and chose to take her on outings and activities with her brothers. She learned falconry and hunting alongside them, as well as horse riding and basic fighting skills. Ignoring the exasperation that this caused some of the other members of his family, the Duke brushed aside their concerns as he treasured the time that he got to spend with his family.

As she grew older, even Phoebe was gradually whipped into shape by her teachers who could eventually corral her into wearing formal gowns. With constant exercise and her mother’s looks, despite her outgoing personality Phoebe was blossoming into a formidable noblewoman in her own right. But the calm and content existence of the Rousselle household was not to last. It was inevitable that the Duke would have garnered enemies over his life, and a series of poor crop yields and foreign raids had left his lands weak just as tensions between Galaecia and the Empire allowed his departed wife’s origins to call his loyalty into question. Conflict was inevitable, and the Duke was painfully aware of his vulnerability. When a supposedly accidental skirmish between a hunting party led by his eldest son and a neighbouring band of knights left the Duke’s heir dead, he knew that he had little choice but to act. Desperate for allies, the Duke sent a message to an old friend from his childhood – the Spymaster of Galecia. Reminding the weathered noble of a debt from long ago, he begged him to take Phoebe in and marry her to a noble family who could come to their aid. But, by the time the carriage with the young noble arrived it was already too late. Word of the Duke’s efforts to establish an alliance with someone in the rival nation had given his enemies the excuse that they needed, and Phoebe was left alone has her family estate was put to the torch. She had only just turned 17.

Pitying the young woman, and still feeling an obligation to his departed friend, the Spymaster took her in. But with tensions at boiling point, no family wanted to take the landless, foreign youth as a bride and so he made Phoebe a courtier in his Duchy and began to train her as his assistant. He was both surprised and impressed by her natural skill with his trade, as well as by the determination with which she tackled her lessons. It wasn’t long before Phoebe had proven herself to be a useful asset for the Spymaster and he couldn’t help but find himself taking a liking to the growing woman – but he never stopped looking to make good on his promise. Eventually he decided that she was being wasted in his local Court and pulled some strings to have her accepted as a courtier in the King’s Court. He hoped that in doing so he could find her a suitor while also gaining a pair of eyes and ears as the cracks in the Kingdom began to appear. Within the Court, the Spymaster was a blunt instrument, but none would suspect the slight figure of the lowly courtier to be an extension of his will. However, such plans were thrown into disarray as the King passed away shortly after Phoebe’s arrival at the capital.

Notable Relationships:
Spymaster – Mentor and Lord
Professional Skills: Swordcraft, archery, horseriding, poison creation, basic first aid and the crafts of a courtier (needlework, cooking, etc).
Strengths: Phoebe is a trained and experienced fighter, especially when it comes to unorthodox methods of combat although the Spymaster made sure that she was also adequately versed in the tactics of battle. She is cunning and wields a sharp intelligence that has served her well in pursuing both her duty and position.

Weaknesses: She is an unlanded member of the nobility and as a woman is unlikely to ever have a landed title for herself. In her home of Entrusilian she would be considered a criminal through association to a traitor and even in Galeacia she has few connections or allies to call upon besides the Spymaster. She also does not have any experience in matters of governance.

Goal: Phoebe is loyal to the Crown's Spymaster and thankful for all the help that he has given her, but her main goal remains to return home and gain vengeance on those who had wronged her family. Privately, she continues to hold out hope that some of her siblings may still be alive and are simply being held as useful hostages. Phoebe also wishes to advance her own standing and to earn influence for herself. She has become increasingly tired of being used as a pawn of others and wants to take control of the reigns of her own destiny for the first time in her life.

What kind of minor nobles are there hanging around the capitol or that have estates in districts that aren't claimed yet? Are most people in favour of war or against it? Do they have faith in the Church? What are the opinions of more independent states like Wyster or the Lama people?

You mean the Barons and perhaps counts if lucky? What exactly would you like to know about them? That their good proper Galeic Lutholics, or something else?

For the War favour, it depends, pious individuals want to put a stop to the Entrusil Empire, but the pragmatic sort prefers not to take a massive war, and the poor simply want to live their lives.

Many Galeics both noble and peasant alike have faith in the church, yet they don't hold much trust. Two popes make it hard to follow a religion that's supposed to have one head.

Most look at Lama and Wyster with distrust, sure Lama serves the crown, but forever and will they attempt to install a dissenter in a time of a divided faith? Wyster is a less distrustful, sure the Duchess there is of foreign culture, but it matters little when the land is rich in gold.

Im open to that as long as it fits into the context of the world. Maybe some dying out paganism native to Galeacia?

Player Character: Oliver Drakon
Image

Title: Duke of Weslingwood, Count of Willowshire, Count of Burksmith
Full Name: Oliver Charles Grypo Alfred Drakon
Age: 16
Appearance:->
Height and Weight: 5'6 | 130 Lbs
Religion: Luaricism
Culture: Osharian
Biography: Oliver was born in a small hut in a small kingdom in the Osharian Isles. His mother was a handmaid and his father was the then 47 year old Duke of Weslingwood, Robert Drakon. He was a bastard born out of wedlock and never expected to inherit the throne. He would have been totally forgotten, cast aside as a peasant if not for his fathers unusual fascination with him. When he was born, a courier arrived in Weslingwood, informing the Duke of the birth of his first bastard son. What should have been horrid news was anything but, he threw a feast and decided that he would look out for his son.

Oliver never did understand where the gold that paid for his tutoring, his armor and his squireship had come from. His mother seemed to always have the money, it was not until later that he learned that his father was contributing financially to help support him. Letters were occasionally exchanged between his mother, Mary, and his father. The plan since the day news arrived was for him to become a knight for one of the local Osharian lords, it wasn't a spectacular or grand life, but it was certainly better than the life of a peasant. He learned how to ride a horse, how to shoot a bow, how to command small groups of men should the need arise, the standard teachings given to squires at the time.

When he was fourteen he chanced upon a correspondence between his mother and father. With the details of his birth revealed he yearned to meet his father in person. What he didn't understand was that this may cause a scandal back in Galeacia, he was forbidden from setting foot on land that was not Osharian. The following year his father died and his older, legitimate brother inherited the duchy. His moment had come, his mother knew this and lifted the ban put onto him when he was fourteen. He presented the letters to his Knight, who in turn presented them to the local King.

Permission was granted, he could gather a host of warriors to invade and take his claim by force. Naturally there was a cost, that cost was that Weslingwood would refuse trade from the lords rival kingdom to the west. He began to gather men, whoever could be spared. A small group of around 30 hedgeknights agreed to join him, as would around 1,000 Peasants and 300 Archers. The rewards for their service would be land in Galeacia. Around the time he turned sixteen he set sail with his meagre forces.

After a week of hard sailing he and his men burst onto the shores of Weslingwood. Enemy scouts had already dispatched, his older brother began to muster his forces. Around 2,200 men to be exact, outnumbering the invaders 2-1 it seemed as though a young sixteen year old bastard was about to die a horrible, violent death because of foolish ambition. This was not meant to be either. He had the fortune of selecting the ground that the battle would be fought on, a narrow pass in the north of Burksmith County.

The Battle ended decisively in his favor. The weather was clear and the enemy's archers had not yet arrived when fighting began. Mustering a wall of spears, the Osharians were able to hold back the Galeacian-Osharian force long enough for a hard barrage of arrows to pepper the backside of the force. Just as the battle seemed to be coming to a close, just as the Osharian line began to crumble, Oliver and his thirty hedgeknights appeared at the rear of the Weslingwood troops. Having flanked the pass via a hidden trail, he smashed into their line and forced the men to panic. They routed and fled for their lives. Two weeks later he sat in Weslingwood as a newly crowned Duke. His brother had the misfortune of commiting suicide in his cell, pretenders to the throne fled or were killed discretely as he began to secure his power.

The Bastard Duke of Weslingwood has managed to clear out his rivals. He is nearing his seventeenth birthday and lacks a wife or children. He lacks legitimacy among the other nobles in Galeacia, despite being a newly minted vassal of King Phillip.

Noticed when taking a peak at the map, that some of your territory is in the Astalian Confederation's territory, or rather in all of it.
Vassal Map
County Map

So I got two options for you, although these aren't the only options these are simply the most likely routes that I believe you would prefer.
1. Give you 13, 14, 26, and 33 instead,
or 2. you can do the land thats not contested and "fight for your rightful lands" early on.
