The Galactic Republic
Sci FI Political RP

Capitol Planet of Cosmopolis

Introduction:
The United Galactic Republic is an extremely loose confederation of sovereign worlds united for the greater good of the Galaxy. Formed 750 years after the devastation of the Cybernetic Wars, the Republic stands as a beacon of democracy and freedom for all sentient life forms. The Galactic Senate based on the massive city planet of Cosmopolis represents the trillions upon trillions of citizens across the sea of stars. All hosts of alien civilizations hold seats in the Galactic Senate with member worlds ranging from iron fist dictatorships to absolute monarchies, to full-fledged democracies.

These member worlds may as well be considered independent nations. The Republic is so vast that it is difficult to keep a sense of unity amongst the diverse and disparate alien species that call this galaxy home. Indeed the only thing that unites the galaxy is trade and a common currency the credit which is cherished in both the bustling metropolises of the Core Worlds and impoverished backwaters of the Outer Rim. As such warfare is common amongst certain worlds and planets that command representation in the Senate wield substantial influence and prestige in galactic politics and affairs some more than others.

Senators can push legislation to resolve conflicts between warring worlds, determine interstellar policy,'and raise taxes. Right now the Republic lacks an army with member planets relying on their own militaries and militias for defense. For a bill to become galactic law requires majority approval rating between the senators. For now, sovereignty lays with the member worlds the Republic lacks an executive branch to enforce policy although that may change in the future if members worlds are willing to vest more power into the national government.

Game Mechanics
Each player will roleplay as a senator and planet in the game. You will have liberty in describing the culture, economy, and politics of your sovereign planet, and rather it has senatorial status or not. Keep in mind that the Republic is divided into different regions, with stark differences much as the United States. The Core worlds are extremely wealthy and host to the banking, trade and financial sectors, with citizens, often afforded a high standard of living and service droids relegated to the menial tasks. The Mid-Rim worlds are host to the manufacturing and agricultural sectors and are less wealthy than the Core Worlds, still a strong and viable middle class is found here. The Outer-Rim worlds are the poorest and most maligned of the Republic, agriculture is the main way of life, slavery and organized crime run rampant here, the Republic having little sway in how things are run those parts.

This is a dice roleplay your senator and planet can perform certain actions rather raise taxes, fund certain programs and policies, and raise a militia to defend yourself. The Galactic Senate meets once every page and each senator will have the chance to push his or her agenda. Whatever policy is enacted by the Senate will have a great impact on the Galaxy positive or negative, a successful economic policy could kickstart a boom or alternatively lead to a depression, certain policies could further unite the galaxy or push partisan rifts leading to civil war so think carefully about the type of laws you pass as a senator.

If this roleplay proves popular I'll expand the roles people can play intergalactic corporations, trade unions, organizations and guilds and even criminal syndicates or individual reporters, journalists etc who can influence what course the Republic takes on.

Polictical Parties Database
Political Party Name: Hypercapitalist Pact
Political Party Main Color: Molybdenum Blue
Political Party Logo: Image
Political Party Founder: Mikkt Bikkt (you get my eternal online friendship if you actually get that reference. You won't, though).
Political Party History: Reaching its 512th birthday in a couple cycles. Everyone's excited. 1,000,000,000 years old!
Political Party Leader Flip Bentusi
Political Party Values and Goals: War doesn't help anything. Ideology is pointless and usually makes things worse. Justice is a lie, and good riddance. Money talks. Money is open and transparent. You don't necessarily have to like money, but you can at least trust a person only looking out for his pockets. Ergo, the more things can be linked to cash, the better.
Other info of your party (Optional): Ranks are designated by a specific badge: a triangle on a square on a hexagon. The orientation of the shapes and the type of pure metal signifies the ranking of the wearer: in order of ascendance, nickel, copper, silver, palladium, platinum, gold, molybdenum.

Political Party Name: The Planetary Rights Party (PRP)
Political Party Main Color: Green
Political Party Logo:
Image

Political Party Founder: Zarki Valris
Political Party History: The PRP was founded by a human by the name of Zarki Valris during the onset of The Galactic Republic. Its founder, a veteran of the Cybernetics War, was gravely concerned that any sort of Interstellar Government would become centralized enough to restrict the rights of individual planets. He formed the proto-party of the PRP, the Interstellar Pact for the Protection of Planetary Rights, or IPPPR. This party eventually splintered and the remainder formed together to create the PRP.
Political Party Leader Karver Danovik
Political Party Values and Goals: The Galactic Republic exists to facilitate trade and peaceful relations between planets. It does not exist to restrict the rights of its represented planets, nor does it exist to dominate and control free trade. The PRP intends to maintain the status quo, to keep The Galactic Republic from falling to tyranny. Freedom and Independence is the motto of the Party because it will maintain the freedom that The Galactic Republic was founded on, it will maintain the independence of all of the Republics trillions of citizens.
Other info of your party (Optional): Members can be identified by the Party Logo, which is usually pinned on clothing, tattooed on the skin or otherwise available to be seen. The Party receives vast amounts of money from banks and companies across the galaxy. It is most popular in the outer and middle rings of the galaxy.

Political Party:
Political Party Name: All-Union Centralization Front.
Political Party Main Color: Burgundy.
Political Party Logo: Here.
Political Party Founder: Uai'yh.
Political Party History:
Political Party Leader: Uai'yh.
Political Party Values and Goals: The party is a major force in the centralization of the Republic and the increase of senatorial powers at the expense of individual planet's liberties. The motivation behind the centralization is the creation of a coherent pan-galactic state whose interests are the betterment and protection of all member-states, not just the wealthy few. One of their most recent legislative projects is the ambitious proposal to create a federated Republic Navy that would protect and serve the Republic and all its member states equally.
Other info of your party (Optional):

Political Party Name: Party for Galactic Liberty, aka the Liberty Party
Political Party Main Color: Red and Blue

And heres my weird cthulu inspired senator and species

Planet Name: Sha Katar
Senatorial Status: Yes
Description: Meaning beautiful garden in Katari, a fitting name from the slimly tentacled species the Katari. Orbiting the purple star of Sha Nassa, Sha Katar or Katar is a bloated and gassy swamp planet located in the far reaches of the Outer Rim. Large mushrooms the size of skyscrapers reach the sky, a disgusting and unbearable stench permeates the air, and a wretched swamp fog covers the entire planet. The air is humid and moist the few visitors that come to this world believe they are in a disgusting sauna when they first arrive and try to leave as soon as they can. Yet this world is paradise to the Katari, and though gigantic insects and man-eating slugs thrive on the bloated surface to the Katari, no other planet can match the beauty and grace of Sha Katar.
Demographics: Home to 750 million souls,99.9 % Katari, the 0.1% of other species are a rare breed of scientists and archaeologists who study the ancient ruins of the First Civilization, and traders who deal in Kyroban Gas and trace minerals important in the construction of droids and other high tech applications.
Culture: The Katari make the majority of the culture. They worship the Deep Ones, and their ways are steep in mystery and shadows. The Katari is a very superstitious and religious people a product of the planet they evolved and thrived on. They could never fully explain the phenomenon that occurred on their planet, the deep rumblings from the deep, the whispers and echoes that reverberate across the swamp planet. Some have been driven mad, by the "teachings" of the Deep Ones, but these are believed to have reach enlightenment and are often made leaders of the entire species.
Government: Cultish Oligarchy
Economy:Sha Katar is a rather poor planet, compared to Mid and Core Rim planets, with a GDP of 457,000,000 credits, most of its inhabitants living in primitive huts that dot the swampy landscape. There are enormous amounts of Kyroban Gas, important to Warp Drive engines, which gives Sha Katar outsized importance in galactic affairs. Also, there are rare metals that are extracted for the construction of droid parts.
Region:Outer Rim
History (Optional):Will reveal in game.

Senator Name:Mmote-shoki
Senator Species:Katari
Senator Gender:??? Let just say male, but non-Katari can hardly tell the difference.
Senator Age:150
Senator Appearance:A octopus creature with eight appendages, and slimy green skin. He is slightly smaller than the average human. While others aliens may not notice among his species, he is considered quite handsome!
Senator Personality:Unlike others of his kind Mmote-shoki is rational and prefers logic over superstitious nonsense. He is quiet and observant especially when he pushes the interests and agendas of his people in the Galactic Senate. Otherwise, for an alien octopus, he's surprisingly friendly and civilized!
Senator Bio:
Mmote-shoki was born in the bloated swamp world of Sha Katar. His father like all Katari perished when mating his mother. He scantily remembers his life as an egg developing within the boggy pool of still water that was his original home only that he was apart of a legacy that extends back millions of years. Many of his siblings were devoured by predators, but such was the way of the Katari only the strongest and cleverest could survive the harsh environment that is their homeworld. When he reached age he telepathically linked with a nearby Katari herd and soon his life's journey began in earnest.

He proved to be the most intelligent and clever of all his herd brethren devising brilliant ways to take down prey hundred times their size, maneuver the swamps, and come out on top over the other herds. For his brilliance, he was telepathically summoned by the Elders, on the city of Nar Sheeva. At the Dark Temple where pulsing Eye of the Deep Ones watched over all of Katari Civilization, the Elders spoke to him it was incoherent madness, yet Mmote-Shoki understood fully what they said. He would become a senator,to represent the Katari people on the ecumenopolis capitol of Cosmopolis, he would push the agenda of the Katari on the Galactic Senate, or die trying it was his destiny.

He was heartbroken of course, he would never get to participate in the Mating Ritual of the Two Moons and die to create new life, the highest honor any Katari could achieve. Still, he understood that he had a service to his people that he had to fulfill. He left Sha Katara at the ripe young age of 145 and began his career lobbying in the Senate. Far from the Outer Rim, he traveled to Cosmopolis home to 2.5 trillion souls, of all species and buildings the size of cities that reached the stars. It was a nightmare twist from his original swampy homeworld but he soon adjusted and evolved to this new world.

So far it has been a great challenge maneuvering in galactic politics. Machiavellians are abundant in the halls of the Galactic Senate and they hunger for power and influence. The humans he finds the most difficult to work with especially with their initial distrust of Katari, still, he strives ahead ready to do whatever it takes to serve his people and ensure the very best for them.
Senator Main Strength:Intelligent and thinks stragteically knows how to form plans and implement them.
Senator Main Weakness:Weird alien, bipedal humanoid species may be repulsed by his many appendages, bulging eyes, and slimy head.
Political Party:Indpentent

Species Name:Katari
Homeworld:Sha Katar
Species Physiology:A species of mollusk variant. They have a closed circulation system and three hearts that transports blood across their body. The Katari have respiratory organs that allow them to breathe in oxygen on land as well as specialized gills that allow them to swim indefinitely in water. They have a very high brain to body mass ratio and their brains are highly toned and complex enough to emit X-Waves that allows them to telepathically speak with other members of their species, they lack other forms of communications thus traders and diplomats are often outfitted with communication chips that allow them to speak to members of other species.

Description:The Katari is a very reclusive species, they rarely interact with members of other races. They are divided into various herds that traverse the swampy landscapes of the planet. They are led by the Cultish Elders in the temple city of Nar Sheeva dedicated to the Deep One the only urban center on the entire planet. The Katari is divided into a caste system of warriors, builders farmers, and scientists, as well as the odd trader and diplomat who are tasked with leaving the planet and interacting with other species to secure resources not found on Sha Katar.

They mate during the one hundred year event when the two moons of Sha Katar are aligned in the night sky, the moon rays release sexual hormones within the males and females sending them into a frenzy. The males will glow to attract female mates and also fight amongst each other to have the privilege to mate and shire children. Once the males of mated they perish, their entrails devoured by the predators and scavengers of the planet and their nutrients nourishing the swampy forests of their world, the mothers lay their eggs in the swamp waters and leave never to see their children again. It is the duty of every Katari to survie and contribute to the survial of their species.

Species Name: Andermjorn (As the Andermjorn language is entirely tonal, and incorporates many tones that are too low to be audible to the ears of most species, their true name is... difficult to write. "Andermjorn" is an exonym given to them by one of the other species in the Republic, which they have adopted for general use.)
Homeworld: Blue Gyre, moon of the gas giant Red Monarch (Both are literal translations of the Andermjorn names - see above.)
Species Physiology: Andermjorn are aquatic organisms resembling enormous flatworms with segmented chitinous shells, averaging around three hundred meters in length, and forty meters wide. Their skin varies between different shades of mottled blue-green, and their dorsal side is darker than their ventral side. Instead of a standard digestive system, they have two rows of meter-wide radial mouths along their ventral side stretching from their head to their tail, each of which has a long flexible tongue about ten meters long for grabbing sessile organisms to consume. The tongues also double as an Andermjorn's "arms", and the mouths can be used for locomotion by expelling water and waste. The only organs on an Andermjorn's "head" (really just the front of the body) are six black eyes, and two extremely sensitive electroreceptive organs. Six tubes, ranging from ten centimeters to a meter in length, can be found, arranged in a circle, in the middle of an Andermjorn's dorsal side. Andermjorn can generate tones using these tubes, and manipulate the pitch of these tones by increasing or decreasing the size of the apertures leading to the tubes. Andermjorn language is entirely based around the tones generated in this way, most of which are infrasound inaudible to anyone but another Andermjorn.
Description: A typical Andermjorn life today (on Blue Gyre or another primarily Andermjorn world.) is not too different from a typical Andermjorn life millennia ago. They wander alone or in pairs through the shallow oceans of the Blue Gyre, gathering food with their many mouths, only rarely encountering another of their kind. Andermjorn traditionally mate for life, due to their low population size, though this is less common in the modern day. Despite reproducing sexually, Andermjorn do not have genders or sexes - Both partners impregnate each other when they mate. Andermjorn larvae are about ten meters long when they are born, and grow rapidly. Each Andermjorn partner only gives birth to one offspring per pregnancy, and individual pregnancies last around six years. Andermjorn can live up to 3000 years old with access to proper medical technology.

Both because most species' infrastructure cannot accommodate an Andermjorn's size, and because the gravity of most habitable worlds would cause an Andermjorn to collapse under its own weight, most Andermjorn prefer to remain in orbit when visiting other planets, only interacting with the people on the surface through intermediaries, robotic drones, or telepathy. Some incredibly wealthy Andermjorn own "pools" the size of cities on populous worlds, allowing them to reside on the surface with the assistance of anti-gravity technology. This is seen as a decadent luxury by most, however.

Andermjorn have a reputation for being enigmatic and influential, because they rarely interact with people in person, because all but the wealthiest Andermjorn don't leave their own territory, and because the sheer size of their brains gives them the ability to easily grasp complex concepts, such as advanced mathematics. There are even cults, in the poorer parts of the galaxy, that worship individual Andermjorn as gods. The Andermjorn, for their part, do their best to politely discourage this behaviour.

They also have a reputation for being condescending. This is because they are condescending.
Other Information: Another sapient race developed on the Blue Gyre at the same time as the Andermjorn, a predatory species called the Qagan. The Qagan preyed on Andermjorn larvae, as they were too small to attack adult Andermjorn. It is sometimes theoretized that the Andermjorn developed sapience to counter the increasingly complex strategies the Qagan used to separate Andermjorn young from their parents. As soon as the Andermjorn industrialized, they dedicated all of their resources towards killing every single Qagan. The Andermjorn would very much like the rest of the Republic to forget about this.

Planet Name: Blue Gyre, sometimes called "the Blue Gyre", and the "Three Companions", the other three moons of Red Monarch.
Senatorial Status: Yes
Description: Blue Gyre is a tiny moon, with a nonetheless thick atmosphere consisting of oxygen, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrogen. Almost its entire surface is covered by ocean, with the only "land" being the frozen poles, although some of these oceans are only a few meters deep. Blue Gyre orbits the gas giant Red Monarch, which has six other moons. Three of those moons (The "Companions") have been successfully terraformed by the Andermjorn, and are covered by oceans as well. The Andermjorn are mostly nomadic, and carry their technology with them, so there are no cities anywhere on the moons, only important gathering places.
Demographics: Blue Gyre is home to four million Andermjorn. The Companions collectively hold around two million more. Space stations and floating research platforms account for the thousand-odd non-Andermjorn who live in orbit of the Monarch.
Culture: The culture is overwhelmingly Andermjorn, for obvious reasons. Andermjorn who live on the Gyre tend to be more conservative than their brethren further afield, pathologically contemptuous of any race not their own. Much of their time is spent memorizing and reciting the ancient stories.
Government: The Andermjorn do not have governments, due to their small population size and the impossibility of establishing "states" when they are all nomadic and compulsively solitary. When they take action, it is because a large number of them think something must be done and decide to help it get done. When the Republic granted the moons of Red Monarch a seat in the Senate, Kro Azuz was elected by a simple majority vote.
Economy: The Andermjorn on the Blue Gyre are somewhat poor, due to their isolationist stance to galactic governance. In contrast, the Three Companions are home to some of the richest beings in the galaxy, whose financial clout can be felt throughout the galaxy.
Region: Core World, spinward of Cosmopolis
History (Optional): As detailed previously, the Andermjorn developed on the Gyre under the yoke of the Qagan, a sapient predatory species that fed on Andermjorn young. When the Andermjorn developed metalworking and steam power, they killed every Qagan within decades.

After that point, the Andermjorn developed much like other species, despite their lack of governance. Eventually one gathering of Andermjorn developed spaceflight, and the other Andermjorn quickly stole the technology, leading to a rapid race to colonize the stars. The richest and most powerful were able to claim vast new territories in the colonies, while the poorer Andermjorn were left behind. This created a vast wealth disparity that still persists today.

The Andermjorn invented spaceflight thousands of years before other species, but because of their tendency to think over long spans of time, their technology developed slowly, and by the time they came into contact with the rest of the galaxy, the other races had plenty of time to catch up.

The wealthy Andermjorn of the Companions used their pre-existing wealth and cognitive abilities to gain huge influence over the Galactic economy in the pre-Republic period. The most successful of these was the Andermjorn who would one day be known as Kro Azuz, who invented the "Garden Vault" about two centuries before the Cybernetic Wars. The history of Kro Azuz is chronicled elsewhere.

After the Cybernetic Wars and the chaos that followed it, the Andermjorn joined the newly-formed republic. Not long afterwards, Kro Azuz was elected Senator for the Red Monarch and its moons.

Senator Name: Kro Azuz (An epithet given to them by the Xix, meaning "Exalted Serpent" in a Xix language.)
Senator Species: Andermjorn
Senator Gender: N/A
Senator Age: 2406, just beginning to show the signs of old age.
Senator Appearance: Almost four hundred meters long, making them larger than normal. They are, however, quite lean, averaging out at around thirty meters wide. They attribute both qualities to a good diet. Their skin and carapace are navy blue, with splotches of dark turquoise.

It's great to see a dice rp on NS, and I hope to create a party that can make it on the OP post so those playing senators know of at least one ready to go option ^_^

Yes and you get a economic penalty but are not obligated to abide by galactic law.

I use to think the same thing. Until I learned that North Korea has been a UN member since September 17, 1991. It was an observer in 1971 and became a full member in 1991. Due to this membership the UN was able to enact penalties on North Korea in 2005 for Human Rights Violations after it's investigation returned with results that spoke ill of the nation's administration. North Korea's current representative is Ja Song-nam since 2014; he'll be serving that role for life. He was previously North Korea's ambassador to the United Kingdom. The myth that North Korea is a rogue (or none memberstate that doesn't have to abide by International Law) started as fact in the 1960s. However various news outlets continue to not check these facts handed down from decades past- and treat them as present truths.

North Korea is also part of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations; World Health Organization, and the Universal Postal Union. It's a member of the Group of 77 (an alliance of developing nations seeking to have a united voice in the UN- Palastine is another member of the Group of 77 and Somalia). North Korea's involvement in the UN is why it's been getting more involved in international life, releasing films internationally, having the New Years celebration televised internationally, and of course proposing a joint Olympics team for Korea.

I'm not trying to defend the DPRK I'm just sharing with you that which I myself was ignorant of for years :)

Well yea obviously it's more beneficial to be apart of the Republic but you can do your own thing if your isolationist which as it's own benefits and drawbacks.

Species Name:Dunkuildour, by Galactic Common they are known as murderers, pillagers, savages, Hunters of the Duxius II, Raiders of the Krilous Region, but many know them as... Ducks. For a layman's term.
Homeworld:Sitihiem
Species Physiology: Around 3'5-5'2, weighing around 120-160lbs normally, the Dunkuildour are considered fairly small or average despite their reputation. Like all waterfowl, they lay eggs and their children are known to be among some of the cutest in the galaxy till they mature and to become the killers their known for. Females are known to lay around 8-15 eggs and has numerous mates with both males and females being polygamous and polyandrous. The Ducks are also naturally bisexuals, each not caring about who are their mates and this goes into how their culture doesn't care for gender roles as both females and males usually look the same expect for patters and tone of voice.

They also are known to very adaptive as long as theirs water around, due to their diverse marshy planet. Many of them have been able to resist dry environments but they still need to by more hydrated than most races or their be susceptible to diseases and fatigue faster till eventual death of dehydration.

One of the reasons for the violent tendencies is because of their biological compensation to fight. Their planet was fairly harsh, between the predators, diseases, and themselves. This allowed them to biologically design themselves to be aggressive and to bear strong children for their Flocks. However, not all strength is physical, as many clans have developed cunning children and each one formed the first nation-states that allowed for their species to grow.

Depending on the subspecies of Dunkuildor, they may live up to 20-160 years naturally. Their feathers come in the form of brown, white, and gray. Bills are different between environment and the colors can be from red, peach, blue, and black. Their diet consist of fish, insects, reptiles, grain, fruits and berries, and... their own corpses. They are actually capable of cannibalism and have enzymes that can get rid of any viruses or diseases that gather around corpses. About 3 species of Dunkuildor have teeth, or teeth-like filters that can tear and hook meat.

Description:Dunkuildor have strong familial ties, those that run deep with instinct as the mother and father share a co-rulership of the family thanks to their survival instincts. Their need to fight and grow makes them a very ambitious race, as seen in the galaxy when they first waddled their way into the scene. They are known to constantly vie for merit among one another no matter what they do and many see them as very successful in how they.

However, many see their instinct to fight and drive forward as both a blessing and a curse. They are known to have been seen fighting in the Cybernetic Wars, stories of heroism and zealot brutality match what the Ducks can do as they took total war tactics and cunning strategy hand-in-hand. However, many do known them for the Thrunntuu Crusade, where the entire species united and conquered their way around the Northern Outer Rim, pillaging and destroying many worlds till they were defeated by a coalition of Outer Rim worlds, rebel Dunkuildor, and some privateers that had scattered the clans.

The race, despite being scattered, are still communal and are rarely seen in the Mid Rim and are nearly non-existed in the Core Worlds. They rarely are seen alone as they work better in groups and only keep their individualism in check for their family comes before them in most cases. Mostly a biological matter tied to their family and the need to keep the flock alive more than the individual.

Other Information:

Planet Name:Sitihiem
Senatorial Status: Y/N N, but may change
Description:A mostly swampy planet with various environments and aggressive flora and fauna that make poisons that can kill many people in the galaxy. It is within a binary star with 2 moons around it. This has a gravity around 4 times that of Earth but the creatures here are very large and strong, despite the Ducks being the only sapient species on the planet. Still, the creatures foster a violent rise to the top and the smartest and strongest to become the masters of the planet. There are sulfuric gas pockets that spew out among the area, it increases temperature in some areas, which is good for some of the Dunkildor, but bad for others.

Demographics: The world is entirely populated with Dunkildor, over 300 million make this home, but it used to be a bigger population but they have scattered across the global marshlands.
Culture: The Ducks have a cultural similar to Celtics and Vikings. They are brutal and honorbound warriors, those that have established a surprisingly complex system of common law that ties to all of the clans across the galaxy. They have a Pantheon of gods and goddess, each one respecting the Old Myths of the Dunkildor culture. Each clan holds to a certain patron god and holds to the Old Myths to that patron deity. Each clan also paints themselves with tribal tattoos associated with family, personal, and clan history that others will know who they are when die.

Each Dunkildor is communal in nurture while still being individualistic and ambitious naturally. It is a balancing mixture that the Dunkildor use that their kin are above themselves, but they themselves should stride to do much in their lives. This makes them have clan fights and raids, each one being fractured ever since the Crusade centuries ago but it also means that they hold each family that makes a clan in high regard, more so than any leader that they have to represent them. It is because of this that they keep to themselves in most galactic affairs and they are rarely seen without a group as their family is always around them.

Because of their ambition, they have been seen in two major wars that are worth of note, the Cybernetic Wars and the Thrunntuu Crusade. They both solidify the brutal culture the ducks have and have became universally feared and scorned. Many hope that they don't unite like they had centuries before but with the new leadership they have been making strides to bring the ducks back into the warriors they used to be.
Government: A semi-united tribal confederation
Economy: As being in the Outer Rim, the Dunkildor on the planet are a mostly agricultural bunch yet they also profit from raiding and merc work. Their are rules concerning raids as they only have small-scale raids on defenseless settlements. With the new government starting to unite the raiding bands and start trying to rebuild the power base. Economy may get stronger or weaker depending on the pickings of the local planets.
Region: Northeast Outer Rim
History (Optional):[/b] The Dunkildor had rose to prominence about 300 years prior to the Cybernetic Wars. By that time they were trying to outdue themselves in advancing and colonizing other planets. Among the planets they fought with each other, drink merrily, and told stories as their colony ships went across local star systems before they were contacted by the galactic community. The first contact missions with them were mixed to say the least, they didn't expect something that look kinda cute(by some human standards) could be a warrior race yet here they were.

Things were slow to try and gained some diplomatic ties with the local powers until the Cybernetic Wars. The Dunkildor honor their agreements and prayed to their gods as they threw themselves at the enemy. They gained much recognition for their warrior zeal and cunning, but also people worried about their absolute brutality for the enemy and the battlefields around them. Yet they threw everything they needed to make sure the enemy died.

At the end, the Galactic Republic was formed after the Cybernetic Wars and the Ducks had an embassy as a observer to the Republic, until the rise of Warfoot Thrunntuu and her ambitions to take over the galaxy. After the first raids and sacking of planets, they closed the embassy as the Warfoot believed the Dunkildor should show their strength across the Outer Rim and seek to conquer the galaxy. The Ducks had managed to rampaged through the Northeastern Outer Rim before she was defeated by a coalition of privateers, Outer Rim governments, and rebel Dunkildor clans who didn't believe in her way of rule.

After the Crusade, as the Ducks call it, the Clans mostly scatted across the Outer and Mid Rim, searching for whatever battle and riches they could get. It took centuries for any large number of Clans to come back to their homeworld in the hundred million as a new leader is trying to bring the Ducks back in some form of power and try to recreate the empire that can be stable for any Warfoot!

We have a Cthulu species, a duck species, and a tapeworm species, the only limit is your imagination just don't make anything OP and it'll be accepted.
