The Protector Mages immediately ran to the Library of Summoning and grabbed a tome that had a potent summoning circle in it. The lead Mage, Janus, handed Rasputin the tome with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, we are not summoners. We are Medics, Sensors, and Mages. But this has a potent summoning circle in it." Darian sighed and said "The Summoners are all at the Upper Corridor fighting the abominations."

he opens the book and finds one that would suit him best “I really don’t need this circle, but it saves me from using my blood” he turns the book to them “draw this” it would be a rather large circle “we’ll get of thos abominations”

Darian and the Protector Mages lead Rasputin up a long stairwell until they aproach a large, wide corridor with around fifteen large tents set up. A barricade is separating the abominations from the Protectors, and a tall man approaches Darian. "Sir, the Summoners are doing what they can to stop those monsters, but they seem stronger than usual. I've already lost five Protectors, so I hope this new friend of yours is a good mage."

Jade smirked. "I too would be interested in the actions taken by our organization if I was an outsider. But you decided to jump in the portal with us, which takes a lot of courage from you. You would be unaware of our abilities. However," Jade nodded towards the figure that appeared. "You seem to have a lot of faith in your summoning. Like Cross said earlier, you either came here to ally us or die. I'm assuming you prefer to live?"

Kiyonari began walking towards the four. "Why don't you join us?" He said. "You seem like you don't have any ill will. However, I would like to tell you that you'll be sworn to secrecy if you join our ranks."

"CAIMUS!" Adelina cried. "No no no no no". Adelina ran over to Caimus as the barrier fell. She looked over an exhausted Caimus. "Bring a medic! One of the Knights is injured." Adelina stared at him while he had fainted. She wasn't a Medic herself, but she could tell when a mage was about to die. Now cannot be one of those times.. As she was doing so, she thought more about his ominous wording. Could the Etira really take down the Empire? They managed to easily defeat one of the best Phoenix Knights, and the leader of the Black Phoenix. Adelina felt her palms heating up. Streams of smoke and steam rose from her hands as she desperately tried to keep herself under control.

Flashes of magic and sounds of steel on steel echoed through the corridor, and Darian burned a few of the undead with his fire. "Ras, get that beast of yours to help us!" The Protectors were falling back to a second barricade, where bolts, arrows, and blasts of magic where coming from.

Matt, decided to walk somewhere. He did so in such an unremarkable way, one foot at a time. When he got tired he sat in some pretty average places. When he got hungry he ate some standard cooked dishes. If he got bored he sharpened his toy sword. When he needed money he did some mundane tasks. This was the unremarkable life of Matt Remarkable. On his quest to change out his fake toy long sword. For a normal long-sword.

Matt, after getting fired from his fourth job this week decided to go to the inn he always rests in, it was found in a very dark alleyway. Inside his room he lay his head down on a unremarkable old tattered pillow. He began to question how to change his un-eventful life.

The male figure stopped trying to melt the ice, having made it halfway through, "What makes you think you can defeat my summoner?" he then took up a prideful stance. Ayano gave a slight sigh before holding her hand out towards Ira.

"Hush," her hand began to glow a deep purple and as does Ira's mouth, all the sounds that were coming from his mouth stopped and he shot a glare at Ayano. "I apologize for my summon's words, he is a wrath demon," the ice around her feet began to melt slightly more as she used her flames on it. She looks over towards Cross, "You are right, I did not follow you to fight, and I wouldn't have if I wasn't attacked first. Now aside from that..." she turned her gaze back towards Kiyonari, "You have asked me to join you, but with so little information I cannot do that. For all I know, you are a group of assassin's working against the Sayuga house, burn it down? In the name of Allegrodo, to make an example?"

As Adelina called for a medic, a new presence entered the hallway, an unsettling presence. Three figures had arrived, bearing no markings of any faction nor family. “Keep thyself under control Adelina.” One of the figures, the tallest of the group spoke. “Alright, everybody is to clear the scene. All nobility, soldiers, servants, are to head back into the throne room for the conference. The situation is under control. As the male spoke, the shortest of the group approached Adelina. A feminine voice spoke. “Not you. You remain with us. Captains orders.”

"yeah what he said, if we wanted you dead i wouldn't have wasted time capturing you" he starts to fix himself "i would have crushed you, sadly you wouldn't make a fine edition to him" he nods toward the limp flesh golem "so do wanna die or are you gonna assist us in taking down that idiot" he laughed and his voice changed "your flesh could be used well against him"

Rasputin bit his thumb to make it bleed and put his hand on the ground, soon a summons if circle of blood formed and a blinding light shined from the center. A beast of many mouths soon came fourth. The beast crawled from the circle and began eating the undead, living and dead. Rasputin stood up and smiled “your good, they will devour and shred those zombies, shall we go talk about plans and training your troops”

"Explain to me what the hell just happened!" Emperor Noburo exclaimed. He was furious over the events that had just taken place. "How did you allow a mage to just sneak into this palace and begin fighting my most loyal Knights?!"

"Your highness, witnesses state that the mage was able to transform into smoke, so he arrived here through...unconventional memes. He was only able to slip in due to the magic suppression barrier that was casted by one of the nobles." The Head of the Phoenix Knights looked down at his feet.

"Are you implying that the noble who casted the spell has some sort of connection with that rogue mage?"

"It's definitely possible."

"And you say that a skull with a dagger in the middle of it appeared as he left?"

"Yes."

"So where is he now?"

"The Sensors began tracking him, but suddenly he disappeared. We're not exactly sure where he went."

Noburo shook his head. "That mage was most likely sent here to deliver the message that the Etira are getting more and more bold. They aren't just limited to murders in the south. They wanted to show the Emperor was even helpless against them." Noburo paced back and forth nervously for a few minutes until he suddenly stopped. "Did House Cheristi send any representatives here?"

"They did not, Your Highness."

"Call for the Interior Guard to be stationed across the city, especially near the palace. I don't want this happening again. I also want you to send a letter to House Cheristi. I want to personally see them here as soon as possible."

All of the Phoenix Knight's eyes went wide open. The Interior Guard was the secret police of the Empire, and now they were to be working with the Knights.

"I will go back to the conference room and speak with the guests. And as for you," The Emperor nodded at the leader of the Knights. "One more slip up, and your head rolls."

Adelina looked up and saw three people appear. "What's going on?" She asked. "But before that, will Caimus at least be alright?"

"That was quite...the spectacle, father." Luther Esquoria said to Alexander as he ate the food that had been prepared. "I thought the Emperor's puppets were able to at least give us the impression that, of all places, we were at least safe in the Palace."

"Keep your voice down." Alexander ordered Luther. "We can discuss that later. We're here to decide what the next course of action is."

While the two were conversing, several Phoenix Knights arrived. Behind them, Emperor Noburo Allegrodo stepped in. "Excuse the interruption. Shall we begin?"

Kiyonari closely listened to what the strange mage was saying. "We pledge loyalty to no noble house. The Emperor holds no power over us. Our goal is far, far more noble than simple assassinations or espionage missions. Kiyonari raised his arm and pointed it in a direction where everyone could see. A blue sphere emerged and traveled a few meters away, before quickly enlarging, forming the portal. On the other side, you could see a skull, with a dagger going through it in the middle. "I'm sure you've seen this symbol around. Either by hearing about it through rumors or through the newspapers." Kiyonari dramatically paused and turned back to the woman. "We are the Etira, the organization whose goal is to depose the Allegrod Dynasty and establish our own government, where the people are actually cared about and their voices heard. We are more than just assassins, we are revolutionaries!" At this point, Kiyonari was practically yelling. "We will lead the next generation of mages! We are the future! The Etira aim to be the voice of the people. And it begins here, in Dacryn. We're in the catacombs to...well, let's just say begin our revolution. So...will you join us?"

"Jakob? Alright, I'll find him," Azami sighed as she walked away looking for people who might know where he went. I can't go hunt? How complicating, I'll have to hunt when I'm alone sometime. Sneak away at night, maybe? She shook her head as she continued looking for people.

Izayoi stood up against a wall on the far side of the room as the emperor walked in, he had been avoiding the table with the food laid out across it. When the emperor walked in Izayoi walked forward and to a point where he could be noticed, "I believe it is time to begin. If my assumption is correct then we will be talking about the recent murders?" Izayoi himself didn't get to the area of the battle in time so he was a left a bit in the dark on what had happened, but he had an idea of who the opponent was.

Ira made the motions and gestures of someone who is laughing but no sound escaped his mouth, he slowly stopped and turned to Ayano who again pointed her hand at him and spoke, "Speak." When she spoke the purple aura around Ira's mouth faded away.

"Thank you, Ayano," he spoke calmly and turned towards the group, "So, you guys are the Etria? Just you guys? There has to be mo..." Ira's words were cut short as Ayano began to speak.

"The fabled Etria, you say you fight for the people yet you attack me and threaten me after noticing me? I have been trying to find you for quite some time, the revolution in the name of the people. Was I wrong?" she paused for half a second before speaking again, "Don't answer that. I understand your precautions in restraining me, but you outright grab a citizen by the throat, no matter what aura they give off is not an appropriate action to take." Ayano glared at Cross and Ira did the same.

"She did come to join your ranks, she is normally far more calm than this. But being attack by the people she has been trying to join may have rubbed her the wrong way. If you'll excuse me?" Ira walked towards Ayano and wrapped his wings around her, within seconds they had disappeared. The Etria would be left confused for about two minutes until Ayano and Ira reappeared.

Izayoi himself didn't get to the area of the battle in time so he was a left a bit in the dark on what had happened, but he had an idea of who the opponent was.

"Thank you, Ayano," he spoke calmly and turned towards the group, "So, you guys are the Etria? Just you guys? There has to be mo..." Ira's words were cut short as Ayano began to speak.

"The fabled Etria, you say you fight for the people yet you attack me and threaten me after noticing me? I have been trying to find you for quite some time, the revolution in the name of the people. Was I wrong?" she paused for half a second before speaking again, "Don't answer that. I understand your precautions in restraining me, but you outright grab a citizen by the throat, no matter what aura they give off is not an appropriate action to take." Ayano glared at Cross and Ira did the same.

"She did come to join your ranks, she is normally far more calm than this. But being attack by the people she has been trying to join may have rubbed her the wrong way. If you'll excuse me?" Ira walked towards Ayano and wrapped his wings around her, within seconds they had disappeared. The Etria would be left confused for about two minutes until Ayano and Ira reappeared.

"I have ordered the Interior Guard to work with the Phoenix Knights to find the Etira and bring them to justice. You will begin to see more Interior Guardsmen stationed across the Empire. They will work only to keep things stable. I wanted to speak with all of you and ask about our next actions. Due to this being such a major event, I want all the Nobles to pitch in any ideas on what they believe would work."

It was around that time a Phoenix Knight hurried in and whispered something into Noburo's ear. Noburo's eyes widened. He turned back to the Knight, and asked "Are you completely sure?". The Knight nodded and left as soon as he arrived.

"I, Kiyonari Takara of the Etira, accept you as an official member of our organization. Now," Kiyonari turned back to the rest of the Etira. "Continue the plan. We can't waste time standing around." After Kiyonari gave out his orders, he looked at Ayano. "I will explain what we're doing soon. The mission is more or less complete anyway, just a few more minutes and we'll be heading back to our base. I'll fill you in then."

Jade saw Cross breaking the ice. "Sorry!" She exclaimed. She knelt down near the ice, and immediately steam began to rise. Within seconds, the ice had been melted into water, which Jade directed into a scroll she had nearby. As soon as the water touched the scroll, it disappeared. Since Jade couldn't directly use Water Magic without a source (with the exception of her Ice Magic), she would summon water and use it in battle. Jade looked around, and her Cursed Eye caught something. "There," she pointed towards a staircase that led to a small platform. On it, was a coffin adorned with decorations and symbols of the Sayuga. She ran towards it. "If we can move this back to the base, I can work to restore and resurrect him there."

Elakashi sat outside the porch of her family's estate, looking at the night sky. She still thought about her sister, Jade, who had left the House nearly eight years ago. Elakashi has never seen her sister since, and has been wondering how she turned out. I will never stop searching for you, she thought to herself. Jade and Elakashi had been close ever since they joined the academy. However, they spent a fair amount of years away from their family, which resulted in Jade losing the connection to them that she previously had. Could things had worked out better if the House wasn't so concerned with producing soldiers, and instead wanted to raise their children like really family would? Elakashi's internal monologue was interrupted when a dove had landed near her, containing a message. She took the scroll and saw it was stamped with the Imperial Seal. Elakashi ran back into the estate and went to her father. He opened the letter, and shook his head. "Pack your bags. We're heading to Kalingway immediately. I'll inform the guards to escort us. If we move quick, we'll probably arrive there by mid day tomorrow."

"What's going on, father? Elakashi asked, surprised.

"The Emperor has personally ordered us to meet him." Her father replied.

"But didn't he already ask us to attend that conference? Isn't it too late to go?"

"This," Elakashi's father motioned towards the scroll. "Is informing the Interior Guard leaders to mobilize our soldiers and work with the Phoenix Knights."

Elakashi nodded and went to her room. Whatever was happening in the south was important enough for the Interior Guard to be summoned. She packed the essential items and walked outside. She didn't have to wait long. The carriage was prepared and several Interior Guard members escorted them to the capital. Maybe Jade became a Phoenix Knight. Maybe I'll see her soon. Elakashi was optimistic about her sister, but the emotions she dealt with daily made had changed her. She covered her face with her hands and laid her head down. To quote the captain, 'Adelina always demonstrated a high degree of skill even in the days I trained her. She would shine amongst our ranks.'" Caimus began to stir, and his eyes fluttered open. "U-urgh... bloody... hell." The white-haired soldier began to push himself up, woman began to fret over the captain. "Oh, sir, you mustn't do that! You need your rest!" Caimus narrowed his eyes at the woman. "I'm perfectly fine Lisbeth. Please back away from me." The woman shied away, and Caimus turned his head to Adelina. "I presume my collegues have already spoken with you?"

Rasputin bit his thumb to make it bleed and put his hand on the ground, soon a summons if circle of blood formed and a blinding light shined from the center. A beast of many mouths soon came fourth. The beast crawled from the circle and began eating the undead, living and dead. Rasputin stood up and smiled “your good, they will devour and shred those zombies, shall we go talk about plans and training your troops”

They call themselves the 'Circle of Magi' and they're more intent on raiding the Emperor's supply shipments than gathering knowledge. They're based in the Library of War back at Underbase, and if you want to talk about plans and training, they're who you want to talk to." Darian sheathed his sword and said "By the way, if you happen across any Black Phoenix Knights and actually manage to capture one, bring them straight to me and I'll make them talk."
