Imperial Palace

The Sensor was correct. The man here had come because of the invitation from the Emperor. The leader of the group bowed, and began to speak. "I apologize, as it's our duty to make sure no one comes in without a legitimate purpose." He signaled the rest of the Phoenix Knights to open the doors, and allow them to enter. There were many Knights stationed across the garden leading to the doors of the palace, with many Sensors and Inquisitors eyeing every visitor to make sure...nothing bizarre occurred. "We will escort you to the conference room to meet with the Emperor, however, there is one more thing. What is your name and what House do you represent?."

Another group of Knights were stationed outside the Palace Gates, when another mage attempted to enter. The Knights all bowed their heads and allowed the palace gates to open. "Welcome to the Imperial Palace.". With that, the Knights proceeded to escort Ayazato to the huge doors of the palace, where they saw a group of mages also walking to the palace. "It seems someone has already arrived." one of the knights said, confused. "Isn't there only one way in?"

Dacryn

Kiyonari listened closely to the words of Devilface. His smirk and carefree demeanor left, and were replaced with a solemn expression. "Fear not, Devilface. I will not let this plan fail." As they walked, Kiyonari looked at Devilface. "Let's just say something was to happen to any of you. I will die protecting the group and I will do everything in my power to let us escape. But not too long after Devilface had spoken, Kiyonari had heard a rather ominous poem. Kiyonari knew he had gotten himself involved with dangerous mages, but he wasn't expecting Devilface to be so open about killing him, not that he particularly feared any of them anyway. He was the leader for a reason, and dealing with personalities like this was what he had signed up for. Besides, can't we just revive you with the Cursed Ressurrection technique?" Kiyonari said jokingly.

Jade interrupted the exchange they had. ""We're finally entering the city. The temple is on the other side of Dacryn, near the Ladon River on the western part of the city. I suggest we split up and meet back at Ilsa Tavern. It's a pub not too far from the river. You guys will recognize it once you see it. However, I strongly recommend you don't say anything to anyone until we all are together. We can't risk this plan failing."

Castle Grounds,
Izayoi

The knights were surprised by the other party escorting someone else into the castle, "There are many ways in if you have the aptitude, or the magic." Izayoi's eyes squinted to look at the mage being escorted a head of him, "An interesting development," he whispered to himself. Izayoi has always been interested in competent and strong mages, he likes to observe people and if he deems them worthy he may even challenge them. He bookmarked the mage's appearance so he could find him later.

Ayazato house, training grounds,
Liliruca

Lili walked around the training grounds as she awaited the return of Izayoi, he was supposed to be her next teacher. The training grounds in the Ayazato estate was completely different to any training grounds she'd ever seen before. The ground was littered with shattered steel, stone, and wood as well as being covered in a mysterious green glass like material. Any and all training dummies were replaced with steel ones, some had the green material embedded into it.

"I knew that this house was strong, but to use dummies made of steel?" She speaks in a disbelieving tone of voice. She approaches one of the steel dummies with the green material embedded into it and pulls a piece out of it. She gave it a glance over and spoke quietly, "This material? I've never seen it before, does it react to magic?" She was about to channel her flames into the material but before she had the chance it shattered. She stared at the pieces for a few seconds before drawing he sword and practicing her form.

Freedom's Call, ???
Azami

Azami slowly woke up having been blasted to living hell, she was in pain, not nearly as much pain but still in pain. "Ah... shit, it hurt," she winced as she sat upwards. Azami looked around the room she was in but didn't recognize anything. She went to stand but her legs wouldn't move the way she wanted them to. She looked at her legs and saw that they were still in terrible condition, "Teach me to hold my ground against an attack like that.." she chuckled into a cough, "Gah... I need to get out of here and get some 'food'." She tried to gather shadows around her legs but her mana had not regenerated nearly enough for such an action, so for the meantime she laid back down and attempted to rest.

Castle Grounds,
Izayoi

"That doesn't necessarily give you the upperhand old man, If a mage is strong enough for a frontal assault knowing where he is won't make to big of a difference," Izayoi spoke in a confident tone and he flipped his bangs back a bit. He continued with another statement before the old man could respond, "And if you're smart enough you would check for a barrier and tear it down," he then spoke in a far more serious tone, "besides, we don't know what other forms of magic there is out there, for all we know someone can completely hide their physical and magical presence, even to your barrier." Izayoi raised his head towards the sky, his purple eyes glistening in the light, " That's what makes this interesting."

Castle Grounds,
Izayoi

"Be careful what you say old man. You clearly know who I am, which means you know what I'm capable of," he spoke in a deeply menacing tone, "I don't want to kill another old man." Izayoi began another hearty laugh, "Besides the emperor called for us, we should speak to him before we do anything else." He then walked passed Azreal and towards the castle door.

Imperial Palace

After asking Azreal to tell the Knights what house he represented, he proceeded to use a spell that supposedly eliminates the usage of magic by anyone other than himself. And not too long after that, Azreal and Izayoi got into a small dispute. "Using that technique would prevent others from using magic in this area," the Sensor said. "But that also prevents us Sensors from doing our jobs, which is to detect who is coming in."

As the Phoenix Knights continued to escort the mages into the palace, several more noble families had arrived in front of the Palace. As soon as the carriage came to a halt and two men came out, it was immediately clear who they were. They both wore green and black clothes adorned with medals and a symbol of the phoenix, the signature emblem of the Allegrodo Dynasty. However, right next to that phoenix, was a symbol of an eagle. The two men were Alexander and Luther Esquoria, the two leading members of the Esquoria Family, one of the legendary Three Elite houses who ruled next to the Sayuga and Allegrodo in a triumvirate after the Unification Wars. "I believe it is our time to show the Allegrodo the courage of the Esquoria, father." Luther said to Alexander. Luther was the firstborn son of Alexander, and was next in line to become the Head of the Esquoria, and possibly, the next Emperor of Cagia. "Not so fast, Luther. We're already despised by that joke of an emperor and his puppets. We need to take things slow for now, and besides, we have him to worry about." Alexander said, motioning to the carriage behind them.

Luther turned to look behind him, and noticed what his father was talking about. A man and a woman stepped out, both wearing blue and gold. The Phoenix Knights guarding the entrance to the palace bowed before all of the mages who arrived. The man who left the carriage was Julian Sayuga, the head of House Sayuga, and another possible contender for the throne. Luther and Julian were only two years apart, and both held considerable influence in the government. But chances were, the heir to the throne would be yet another Allegrodo, continuing the 400 year dynasty established in the wake of Dyfores Allegrodo's death.

Julian smiled and nodded at Alexander, who waved, and Luther, who scowled and looked away. Not only do I have to deal with Noburo. I also have to contend with that insufferable Sayuga. Luther simply walked away towards the Knights. "You know who we are," Luther said irritably. "Just open the gates and we'll take it from here."

"Is that how you speak to a friend?" One of the Knights asked. The mage took off the helmet, revealing long red hair and blue eyes. "After all, I did serve with you in the army.

"Adelina!" Luther felt embarrassed. "I'm sorry. I didn't know it was you."

"No worries. Besides, we have to get going. I was just on the palace grounds, and...something weird happened."

"And what would that be?"

"You'll find out for yourself."

The Knights opened the Palace Gates and allowed the newcomers to travel across the bridge above the river separating the palace from the rest of Kalingway and unto the gardens that surrounded the palace doors. As soon as Luther began walking near the gardens, he knew exactly what Adelina had been talking about. "It seems that the Emperor had a spell put into place to prevent any magic from being used" Luther said outloud. Adelina simply nodded and continued walking. This was going to be a long day, and the topic of conversation was going to be quite interesting.

The Imperial Palace
Caimus

A man in cold white and red clothing strode amongst the halls of the palace. He nodded in greeting as he passed by servants and guards alike. He had heard the reports. Seen the carnage. The Etira plagued his mind, the fear they caused, the death they brought upon others. That symbol. Caimus scowled. Traitors and filthy hounds. That's all they are. And just like a filthy hound, I shall soon end their misery. Caimus noticed his magic abilities suddenly felt muted. A silence spell must have been cast. Caimus' scowl deepened. Without magic, the palace guard would be crippled to an extent. He closed his eyes, and opened them again. His scan still worked, curious enough. However, he felt immediately that it was heavily muted as well. Fortunately, he could sense the source of the silence ward, and then went to confront the man who cast it.

Freedom's Call hideout
Ami

Ami entered the room where they had put that young woman. She carried rags and a bowl of hot water. While there were many wounds she had sealed completely, not all wounds healed instantly, and now she had to clean and bandage those new wounds. As she entered, she realized that the woman had awoken. "Ah. I see you have risen. How do you feel? Any pain?" Ami had set down the bowl and now looked the woman over. She truly was a sight to behold, with her blonde hair, red eyes. Ami turned to her bowl then and dipped a rag into the water. "I'm going to have to clean your wounds. It will sting a little. I need to you to tell me if you feel any major pain, okay?"

Freedom's Call hideout, Study
Jakob

Jakob sat at a large writing desk, looking over letters from his various commanders across Cagia. He then turned to one in particular that interested him, a letter from one of his spies in Kalingway.

Sir,
The Man with The Sight has just returned to Kalingway, after viewing the destruction the Etira caused. He has been acting more and more agitated. It is possible he could make a move. Caution in regard to him is advised.
Jakob sighed. His brother was a huge threat to the rebellion as it currently stood. He indeed would have to exercise caution. A knock at his door. "Come in." The door opened, and his servant, Grimmsley, walked in. "Sir, do you wish for me to send for your dinner?" Jakob frowned. How long have I been sitting here? "Yes please. If you would, I would appreciate it." Grimmsley made his exit, and Jakob turned back to the desk, and removed a map from a drawer. On it was marked the city of Dacryn. His next target. He had given Elias, Anasui, and a few others orders to head there within the hour, and once there, to spread rumors of the Freedom's Call and make the city officials believe they had already heavily compromised Kalingway, and thus throw the capital-and his brother- into a panic. Jakob grinned. Soon.

Dacryn

A bird carrying a letter arrived at the Ladon castle. The castle was small compared to those of the three main families, but nevertheless it was still a castle. The bird cawed on the perch of one of the tower windows. A five year old boy ran through the door to check what had arrived. He curiously took the letter from the bird's talons. A letter for Grandpa, thought the child. His grandfather, Trevan Ladon, was in his office a few stories below. The kid extended his hand out of the window and a tree branch grew towards him. The end of the brach took hold of the letter and took it to the window below.
Trevan heard the noise and looked behind him to see a tree branch sticking through his window. He grabbed the letter and then yelled "thank you, Artheus!" The letter had the official Allegrod seal. After reading the summons from the capital, Trevan stuck his head out of the window and called for Artheus.

"Tell your father to come to my office."

After a few minutes, Robyn Ladon entered the room. "What is it, father?"

"We've been summoned to the capital along with the other family heads for a meeting with the king."

"Does it say what for?" Robyn asked. Trevan shook his head. "Do you think this has something to do with the recent murders?"

"Possibly. If it is because of that, then these killings are more serious than I thought."

Robyn went and called for a few soldiers to prepare for travel. Once ready, Robyn, Trevan, and a few soldiers aproached the ship. Trevan left instructions for his daughter, Leucina, and then said goodbye to his family. Robyn kissed his wife and then hugged his two children. "You two make sure to stay close with your Aunt Lula." The ship traveled east along a northern river close to Eravil, and then south towards Kalingway. The Ladon were expert sailors who used their water manipulation powers to push the ship through the river at impressive speeds. They arrived at the docks and were escorted to the palace by Pheonix Knights. They reached the gates.

"It's been a while since I've been here," said Trevan scratching his gray head. "Look. There is Julian."

Robyn looked over to see Julian Sayuga enter the palace ahead of them. He had met him several times before and was very friendly with the Sayuga. But he still thought his father was wrong for constantly siding with them. Robyn had plans of expanding the Ladon family's influence, but his father was too stubborn to accept his propositions. He just had to wait until he took charge of the house.

Forest West of Lanewake

A white and brown foxhound chased a small hog through the trees. The dog was faster and was right on its heels. But right before it could grab the hog, an arrow hit struck the animal right in its head. The dog whimpered in disappointment.

"Too slow, Endos," said Lovaka playfully. Another dog appeared. "You were even slower."

She took her catch back to a small cabin in the woods, where she cleaned the hog along with a few others. Then she took the meat to a butcher on the main street of Lanewake.

"Hello, Quint," the blonde woman said to the butcher.

"Oh, hey there Love. What have you brought for me today? Ooh, very good." The man handed her money. One of her dogs started sniffing a chunk of meat that was hanging nearby.

"Come on, Evros." She turned to leave but then spotted a heavily embroidered carriage leaving the town. Guards surrounded the carriage and onlookers stopped to wave. Usually Lovaka would have left the butcher with out another word, but she was curious.

"What's happeing there, Quint?'

"DIdn't you hear? The King has called all of the heads of houses to Kalingway for a special meeting. Say, what did you tell me your family name was?"

"Oh, it's -uh- it's a small family. You probably don't know it." She headed back to her home. She knew that the Ladon family would probably be heading to Kalingway too. "I guess we're going on vacation, guys."

Kalingway

Lovaka stood in the gardens near the Palace with many other onlookers. She couldn't actually see any of the family heads because of the large crowd in front of her. She mostly looked with her magical sensory abilities. She sensed a familiar person. Julian Sayuga. Nice man, she remembered. Then she sensed two unmistakable people arrive: her father and brother. She moved forward through the crowd until she was at the very front. She caught a glance of Trevan and Robyn. She noted how both of their hairs had become grayer. Her sister and mother were no where to be seen, but she knew they were fine in Dacryn. Every once in a while, Lovaka would travel close to the Ladon castle. Not close enough to see anyone, but just enough to sense that they were okay.

Azami

"It won't hurt anymore than it already does," Azami spoke with a chuckle. "Were you the one who cast all the healing spells on me? If so you've done a fairly good job, I can't feel the full extent of the pain these wounds must cause," she looked at the girl who was currently preparing to clean the wounds that had not healed yet. She closed her eyes and braced for the stinging that would come, "I thank you, not many would help a monster like myself."

“Oh, there’s no need to thank me. I’m just granting what kindness I’d hope would be granted to me in the same position. Though you may not want to divulge, may I inquire as to your name? I can’t really tell you mine, so I can understand if you won’t tell me yours.” It was it this point she began working on the first wound, a nearly healed one on her arm. She cleaned the area around the wound, and then, once that was done, she began dabbing at he wound itself, casting a small, temporary numbing spell on the area. She moved from one wound to the next, repeating this process until she reached the larger wounds. “Alright, this is where my numbing spells will have less effect. Just be warned.” She set to cleaning the wounds again, her spells having increasingly less effect. It eventually got to the point where the spells likely weren’t doing much at all. However, she finished the task, and then returned to her bowl to retrieve some bandages set beside it. She returned to the table and wrapped the wounds. “Alright, that should be about it. I recommend you stay with us a little longer, just so I can switch out your bandages once before you leave... that is, unless you’d be willing to stay.” Ami then realized that this girl probably had no clue what “staying” entailed. A masculine voice broke what silence was there. “You probably have questions. About this place.” Ami turned to see Jakob standing in the doorway.

Jakob

“This building here is the operating headquarters for Freedom’s Call, a rebellion organization. We seek to overthrow Emperor Allegrodo, and put our own government in place. We saw from your fight with that knight that you’re no friend of the Phoenix. Perhaps you would consider joining our movement? If not, you do not know our names nor where this building is. We shall simply put you to sleep and then leave you outside of the nearest town. I’ll give you some time to consider, before you make your choice.” Jakob then turned and left, leaving Ami alone with the girl once again.

Azami

"I care not about who knows me, my name is Azami," she spoke in a calm voice, almost as if she hadn't nearly died. Ami had begun cleaning the smaller wounds. Azami was not new to the pain off cleaning small wounds and though the numbing spells weren't necessary she did appreciate it. As Ami began cleaning the larger ones she warned Azami that the numbing spells would be less effective. It didn't take long for her to find out what Ami meant by saying that, some of the wounds were bearable, but when she started cleaning the largest of he wounds Azami would close her eye's and wince slightly in pain, nothing alarming though. After cleaning the wounds Ami quickly bandaged them, suggesting Azami "Stayed" for at least long enough for her to change the bandages once more. It was then that a man who was standing in the doorway made his offer to join their rebellion against the empire. Azami thought to herself, I harbor no ill intent towards the empire, but neither do I praise it. What would rebelling with this group entail? she stared up at the ceiling and then looked to the girl who had helped her with her wounds, "Are you sure you guys would want a work with a man eating monster like me?"

Ami looked into the girls eyes, her expression soft and her own eyes caring, and simply muttered, with clear guilt in her own eyes. “We all have our demons. If I were to tell you I did not desire your company because of things you have done, I would become a hypocrite. No matter what your past is, or what sins you have committed, I still wish for you to stay.” She then turned and went to a chair in the corner of the room, seated herself, and then rested her head against the wall, closing her eyes.

Azami stared at the ceiling still in thought, everyone here is shunned in some way? She had made up her mind, she focused her mana and created armor like structures around her legs. She used them to reinforce her legs so they wouldn't need to support her, she stood up and looked around the room. "I've made my decision," Azami spoke with utmost confidence in her choice, "I will stay." She walked towards the door, her magic still not fully regenerated ste struggled to keep the shadows around her legs but she managed to make it to the door anyways.

Azami

Azami stared at the ceiling still in thought, everyone here is shunned in some way? She had made up her mind, she focused her mana and created armor like structures around her legs. She used them to reinforce her legs so they wouldn't need to support her, she stood up and looked around the room. "I've made my decision," Azami spoke with utmost confidence in her choice, "I will stay." She walked towards the door, her magic still not fully regenerated ste struggled to keep the shadows around her legs but she managed to make it to the door anyways.

Ami

“I’m glad you’re staying, but I recommend that you give your legs, and mana, a day or two to recover. If you simply can’t stand the thought of a little more bed rest, however, I suggest you go looking for the kitchen. An empty stomach doesn’t do well for one who is low on magic.” She stood and walked over to the door, opening it for her.

Somewhere between the Heaquarters and Dacryn
Anasui

“Elias! I’m bored!” Anasui yelled out at his traveling partner. 5 people rode side by side, Anasui and Elias being amongst this five. “Well, what am I supposed to do about that? Entertain yourself you little brat.” This struck a nerve. “What the hell did you say to me?! I’ll kill you shit-for-brains!” Elias rolled his eyes in exasperation. “Just go ahead and try it, you little cross dressing femboy.” A voice from the head of the group shouted. “Shut it you two. Don’t make me beat the hell out of bother of you.” Crusoe, the leader of this venture, had now intervened. “We’re gonna make it to Dacryn without any more bullshit from the two of you. If I hear another word I’ll have you two flogged.” All went silent at this point, and they carried on their way, their goal a long travel away.

Rasputin, somewhere in dacryn

“Ok, Diablo, the old man wanted us to set up an ambush, there should be nobles coming in” Diablo made an a noise confirming what he said “ok good, when the ambush happens we need to take out at least one target, so we can cause some panic” Diablo decided to speak “ I know already, I was there, you simple human” Rasputin flocked Diablos and the demon made a grunting noise “well I was getting to the good part of how we could do this, cause we need to move quickly to set up the trap” Diablo sighed “how about land mines so that anything that gets near them blows up” Rasputin smiled then said “good idea friend, but if they have a good sensory mage they will sense your explosives, plus it’ll look weird with a spike sticking out” Diablo sighed “fool, we bury the spike so that when they come near it will be too late” Rasputin smirked “and if it doesn’t work we have the beasts to relive the troubles, this time I’ll use that lightning monster to make swift work of them” Rasputin headed out walking down the path to eventually find the perfect place to lay an ambush. It only took him seconds to place the spikes “all that’s left is the prey”

Imperial Palace

"Your Highness, the guests have arrived."

Noburo Allegrodo was walking with the Empress when a servant was sent to inform the Emperor of the arrival of the noble houses. "Thank you. I will see to them personally." The servant bowed and walked with the Emperor as several Phoenix Knights tailed them. Noburo summoned one of the Phoenix Knights and said to him, "Why did the Knights inflict a magic suppression spell"?

"There was an...incident just outside the doors of the palace where the head of House Thanatos questioned our methods and instead casted his own spell to protect you, apparently."

Noburo simply nodded as the Knights opened the palace doors, revealing the mages who had accepted his invitation to meet with him. I will not chastise Azreal in his decision to cast the spell. However I still don't think this was necessary the right thing to do. I must approach him calmly, as I don't need to make a scene before the conference even starts.

Adelina Larot saw the Emperor walk out the doors, and immediately knelt on one knee, along with the other Knights. Julian Sayuga and Alexander Esquoria also knelt on one knee, while Luther Esquoria simply stared at Noburo. I will not bow to him. I am better than him, and soon I will hold the throne. Luther thought, but of course he never said anything out loud.

Noburo ignored Luther. "Welcome the Imperial Palace. We have a lot to discuss today. Please help yourselves to the food that my servants have prepared as we wait for the rest of the nobles to arrive." The Emperor motioned back towards the Palace.

Dacryn

"Actually, it appears that my magic has been restored enough for me to use the portals" Kiyonari said. He looked around. And it doesn't seem like anyone's around. Kiyonari motioned the Etira to a dark alley behind a building. He extended his arm, and soon a small blue sphere appeared. The sphere continued to grow until it was large enough for each member of the Etira to walk through. On the other side of the portal, you could only see a dark room. This is the Sayuga Temple. We will enter the temple and take down any guards in our way. We might want to take them with us in case we need more corpses for the Cursed Resurrection Technique. Anyway, Jade will keep watch and I will retrieve the coffin of Baesu Sayuga. From there, we will teleport back to our hideout, allowing Jade to initiate the resurrection in peace. Kiyonari walked through the portal and glanced in every direction to make sure no one would sneak up on them. But as soon as Jade came through, she would notice anyone, and with her Wind Magic, she could easily move fast enough to counter attack.

Azreal

He simply took a long bow before the emperor “I would get on my knees but they don’t work like they used to” he would follow the guards to the dining hall if he doesn’t have his ear eaten out by anyone

Memphis

She sat there with the blacksmith laughing to her hearts content, the old man eventually passed out from drinking too much and he laid there face down snoring. She then paid the bar keep and picked up the old man, she put him over her shoulder “jeez old man still making me Cary you around” she carried him back to his old shop soon sensing the few souls change positions. She picked up her sword and rested the huge blade on her shoulders and heads to the position of the souls “I have a bad feeling”

Cross

He walked fourth dragging his coffin, he took a quick sniff and immediately went down into the crypt “this power, unbelievable power, just surging from him” he begins walk at a brisk pace rushing to the corpse

Thanatos

Thanatos looked at the emperors palace from the rooftop he sat on just to see the death ward be placed up. He grinned soon engaging his smoke form to have the wind blow him to the palace. He drops out of it before he gets near the palace

Caimus

Caimus bowed down before emperor. He then turned his head towards the caster of the silence spell. It bothered him. This mans magic flow didn’t have any disturbance. He was free to use magic at any time. He was a threat. He checked around the room. Every single guard was muted. Caimus himself was muted. He could barely use scan, let alone Forseti. He made a brisk pace over to the man. He spoke quietly, as not to disturb the other nobles. “Sir, I’m afraid I must request you end whatever spell you have cast. You put us in far more danger muting our magic than anything. And as an elite member of the Phoenix knights, I have right to to remove you from the premises if you do not comply.” Now, his hand hovered over the pommel of his rapier. He glanced to a few soldiers in the room, members of his own task force, a silent signal to prepare themselves in case he required assistance. He then returned his gaze to Azrael. He glanced the man over, memorizing which points on his body were most vulnerable, and planning where to strike first if need be.

azreal

He laughed “Your indeed a fool, you plan on attacking me when none of your magic will work and even gang up on me if I’m not mistaken” he rolls his eyes “so you do wish for the emperors death, I can not cast a single spell while this is active and so you all must be ten times more adapt with the blade than your magic” his cloak covers most of his body “so I prefer not to pull down the ward, but I will and the emperors life will be on your hands cause you allowed an enemy to enter and be able to use their abilities” he snapped his fingers and whispered something and everyone felt an overwhelming surge of power

Thanatos

Thanatos saw the ward disappear and he laughed soon to swiftly switch to smoke and head straight to the palace floating above everyone and soon landing on top the palace “made my job easier “

Caimus senses a new magical presence. A strong one. His scan surged back, and now he could see and sense every magic presence. Caimus looked up. Shit, the roof? Caimus pulled a stone from his pocket. A communications tablet. He held it up to his mouth. “There’s something on the roof. I’ll be there soon. Investigate.” He signaled to his guards around the room. High alert. He passed by the emperor, and lightly whispered, “Prepare for an immediate evacuation sire. An intruder with a rather powerful magic aura has shown themselves.” He headed for the door and into the hall, and then began jogging towards the steps to the palace roof. He pulled the communication stone once more. “Be on high alert. I may need you...”

Imperial Palace
Kalingway

Noburo saw the exchange between Azreal and Caimus, and after the suppression seal was undone, he was approached by Caimus, with a vague warning. So the Etira finally had the nerve to show themselves, the emperor thought. But why now? Noburo turned to Head Phoenix Knight near him, and quietly told the Knight of the situation. The Sensors all around the palace also noticed the sudden magical presence. "Keep things under control. We don't need the nobles here to panic. Quickly take care of the situation." Noburo ordered the Knights.

Adelina Larot was alarmed by the reactions of both Caimus and Emperor Noburo, and soon the Head Phoenix Knight held up two fingers, indicating that there was danger nearby. She turned to Luther, who shook his head. "What a bunch of incompetent fools". he whispered under his breath. Adelina looked at a Sensor, who nodded towards the roof of the Palace. Adelina had the urge to use her Explosion Magic to go up to the roof right now, but she knew that would only ensure panic and make things more complicated later on. So she simply gestured for her squad to follow Caimus, who seemed to be the first to notice the aura. Adelina ran as fast as she could towards Caimus. "What's going on, my liege?"

Alexander Esquoria and Julian Sayuga decided to move into the palace, signaling for the other nobles to move in too. If there was a threat, standing outside would make them sitting ducks. Beneath the Palace, was a large bunker that served to protect the nobles and anyone inside if danger was spotted. The Phoenix Knights would explain the bunker and cut off access to the Palace soon.
