The story takes place in the fictional town of Cedarview, Oregon, in the autumn of 2008, seven months after the strange, unexplained disappearance of Alice Lowland, a sophomore at Cedarview High School. The most recent in a long history of missing persons. However, her case has garnered an unusual amount of outsider interest. Officially, the case remains unsolved, but local police are adamant in the girl being just another runaway. An explanation that leaves many questions left unanswered. Questions that deepen with the discovery of video footage of the girl's last known moments.
PLAYER CHARACTERS are locals or outsiders who, for whatever the reason, have interest in investigating the disappearance of Alice Lowland. You will piece together this mystery, and in doing so will uncover a sinister truth that, for centuries, has haunted the forests surrounding Red Mountain. A history of missing persons; strange and unexplainable occurrences.
The RP is a horror/mystery, and although reminiscent to Stephen King's IT the setting is more akin to Marble Hornets and Slender Man in the most basic of sense. Additionally, the RP will largely be a sandbox. There is no right way to go about things.
