We'll use this thread for archiving characters, with links to character profiles in the OP (like the neighborhoods are linked right now). Here's a profile for characters, generously borrowed from the old NSG Senate, which I'll also post in the OP:

For Caldwell I'm just going to assume that the RP takes place within the US.

Joseph Caldwell III

Account Name: Alozia
Occupation: Member of the Hall of the Representatives
Neighborhood: Acreborough
Political Ideology: Conservativism, Traditionalisism, Agrarianism

Family: Mary Caldwell (wife), four children
Background: Joseph Caldwell III (born May 23, 1948) is a retired American soldier in the rank of Major and city-level politician currently serving as a member of the Hall of Representatives of the recently founded City of Respite. He is a Purple Heart recipent among others, having earned the military decoration during his service in the US Army during the war in Vietnam.

The eldest of the four children of Joseph Caldwell Jr. he was born in the family's small estate located in what is today the Respite neighbourhood of Acreborough. His father being a military man himself wanted his son to serve in the Armed Forces. His wish came true when Joseph III was drafted in 1966 and deployed two years later. Raised in a conservative household Joseph was supportive of the war in which he fought until he was wounded and effectively eleminated from the rest of the war. This, however, did not stop him from continuing his military career climbing up the ranks up to the rank of Major.

Satisfied and with his sense of duty fulfilled Joseph retired many years after the beginning of his military career.

Despite his good resume he did not get involved in politics due to lack of interest, until 2018. A respected man in his conservative and rural community he was chosen as Acreborough's sole representative in the City of Respite's founding Town Hall, where he was noted for his passionate speeches. After establishing the city charter Joseph was re-elected to represent Acreborough once again, this time in the City's Hall of Representatives.

Oh, so there IS a state legislature that we didn't know about?
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

Yes, but it is quite mysterious, in many ways known only as the place local politicians go when they "retire." That said, I will soon indicate the state of the finances of the City, with money (for now) coming from our generous overlords in the state house.

Friendly reminder that I'm still here. I will post in the Non-Hall IC soon.

Well, shucks. They ask for new business, and here I am on a bus with just a phone for typing...

Can't relate, each letter on my phone is a shortcut that corresponds to a pre-written bill.

This roleplay is now closed. This was fun, but I have another roleplay I’d like to start soon and I can’t do both at once. If anyone would like to reboot, TG me and I’ll give you OPs, advice, a new banner, etc.

Thank you all for joining!

I’d be down for adoption. I’m pretty sure I know the one you’re planning to start, but I’m joining regardless. Something to work on in free time, anyways. Surprising now many pastimes nowadays demand amounts of WiFi that I don’t have.

Greetings, Respiteers. You may find solace in learning that Opolis grew. A lot.

Hope to see you among the stars.
