Sebastian Hasanov-The Ultimate Butler

Sebastian turned around to face the mysterious voice that appeared suddenly. He turned to see that he was a handsome looking man, just as confused and curious as the rest of them. Hearing his European accent as he spoke, he smiled and stood up straight in a regal manner and nodded. This was perfect timing given his rather flustered state.

"Well hello there Sir Alexander," he started off by saying as a prominent German accent covered his words, "and no, you aren't really interrupting anything too serious here. I was just helping out some of these girls as they woke up rather late themselves before they could here the current situation that they're in. Also, pardon me for my rudeness, but I must introduce myself; I am Sebastian Hansnov. The Ultimate Butler. And its a pleasure to meet someone as skilled as you, even if it wasn't on a more...formal basis I suppose..." He trailed off with a small chuckle in order to try and lighten up the mood sort of.

But soon a frown came across his face upon remembering what was going on. "Ah yes, the rest of the students went off to go and explore, maybe to find a way out or to find a weapon. Which deeply scares me as they seem so quick to adapt. But hopefully we can find a way out of here. But we really need coherence as everyone is off and on their own. We barely even know each other." Hearing himself talk, Sebastian quickly became flustered again and went back to his serious and formal demeanor now with a soft blush on his cheeks.

"I apologize everyone for talking so much. I'm just not use to such situations."

Vera Ostapova Bender

Vera was behind Avery as they left the kitchen. The idea of getting a weapon to defend herself was the debate within her mind. It would only be natural to take something to defend myself. But can I really be prepared to take a life? Is it my place to decide who gets to live or who gets to die. What if I kill someone in self-defense, would I turn myself in knowing that I would die or would I lie and hide the truth? This game is going to bring out the worst of humanity. Yet there is the small chance that it will bring out the best. Maybe the only thing I can do is hope for the best.

The museum was something definitely out of place in the school. It was an odd choice for a room to be included as part of a school. Vera was standing next to Avery as she opened the box revealing all the weapons inside. Almost immediately, Vera began crossing out things that she definitely won't be able to use due to lack of strength. Military shovel, a hatchet, and scutum shield were first out. She would have taken the flashlight if Avery hadn't taken it. Vera looked again at the box. I don't know if its a toy or an actual device, but the plastic megaphone will be useful for communication. Vera reached into the box and took the plastic megaphone. After she took out the megaphone she glanced around and began focusing on the exhibits around her. These are a random assortment of items. Why do they have names on them?

Vera stopped when she reached a pedestal with her name on it. On the pedestal was a theater ticket. The ticket was in Russian and it was for a ballet which happened a year ago. She looked away from the theater ticket. "Avery, are we done here? I think this place was meant to just give us these tools. The items on the pedestals are an random assortment of things. Probably a distraction."

"Yeah, there doesn't seem to be anything left here. The items are seemingly useless, but appear to have a connection to our talents, even if some seem...more odd than others, so it's not random, whatever purpose they do or don't have." Avery left the room. The end of the south hall didn't appear to lead anywhere, except through two double doors which had a radiation symbol and caution tape over it. It was apparent that nobody was supposed to pass through, this was practically a dead end. Perhaps some clues could be found to fill the group in on what it meant, or the two robots would open it at a later point. Regardless, it was best left alone for the time being. For now, I'll leave this unexplored, and for good reason.

The last location in the south hall was a red hallway. The colors have changed, but what does it mean? That question was answered as several doors, each with a nameplate, came into view upon rounding the corner. "This must be the Dorms. I think it's best to enter our own by ourselves." The two departed as Avery went to her room, unhappy with the lack of security that it offered. If we can barge into each other's rooms, staying safe will prove difficult. This isn't a video game, there aren't aren't any 'safe zones'. Hopefully I could find some kind of lock. Wait...there was one in the museum box wasn't there? Damn, I really want to go and get it, but it's not fair if I hog everything I want.
Avery scanned the whole room. It was just a room, she didn't have an opinion on it.

Osamu Hamada

Osamu Hamada left the room, as he was examining the dice in his hand. He wondered if a 100-sided dice of all things was at his exhibit. Hamada started to wonder about a possible connection with the second item on his pedestal. The package seemed to be of dangerous quality, unless it was something that was not supposed to be open. He remembers the tale of Pandora's Box and the evil that was said to flow out when opened. Was a simple package a Pandora's Box? Can't be. Osamu needed to clear his head, as it was full of thoughts.

Heading to the other side of the school, Osamu discovered the cafeteria. A simple table with 16 chairs, though Osamu wanted to sit alone somewhere. That was when Osamu noticed the large hole in the wall. Like something ripped it open to reveal whatever was behind it. Osamu walked up to the hole and saw the metal stairs going downstairs into the dark depths. "This can't be a secret. Both of them have to know about this?" Osamu thought, as he was referring to the two robots. Osamu didn't want to hesitate, as he started to slowly go down the stairs into the darkness below.

Aleksandr sighed. "You don't need to be so formal. You're not at my service."

It would be better if he was. Aleksandr thought.

He got up, and sat a few seats away from where he was.

There's that box. I'll go to the museum and get something from there.

Aleksandr got up, and went to the museum. There, he opened the box. He grabbed the hatchet and the flashlight, the flashlight was something he intended on giving to Vadim.

Avery Lee

Avery was tired of waiting for Vera. Heading over to her room, Avery poked her head in "I'm going to the cafeteria. You can follow me when you're done." Shortly enough she arrived at the cafeteria. By now she had checked out every room in the school that was currently available, well, except for the basement. She flicked the flashlight's switch up, casting forth a beam of light as she descended the stairs down into the flooded basement. The first thing she felt was water splashing onto her legs. Flashing the light down the hallway, she saw another person whom she remembered from the gym, even if she never got to learn his name or even speak to him. Avery was assured that she wouldn't need to say anything. The light would be enough to get his attention.

Osamu Hamada

The flash traveled down the hallway to be cast upon Osamu Hamada, as he was about to open the metal door on the right side of the hallway. "Who's there? If you're trying to explore this place, there's nothing at the end of this hall. Only some sort of large shaft filled with water." Osamu said to whoever was holding the flashlight, as he opened the door to find himself in a rather tropical paradise. Wait, was it tropical paradise? No, clearly it wasn't. All of the tropical stuff were just decorations to make it seem he was on a tropical island. Inside the room was actually a scuba shop.

Hamada looked at the cashier desk, where you saw what you were buying to see no one. The Academy itself seemed derelict and abandoned, but why have a scuba shop here in this dreaded place?

Avery Lee

Avery continued down the hallway until she reached two double doors on the left side of the room. Upon opening them, she found herself in what appeared to be a night club. It was clearly sea-themed, from the octopus chandelier to the counter top designed like the belly of an undersea whale. She looked around, not finding anything of interest until her foot stepped onto a hatch, causing her to nearly collapse. Shi-oh..? It was just a hatch... I should scope out the entire area before looking down there. Avery got up, limping over to the bar counter and hopping onto a stool. She almost tripped again, her foot locking in the footrest. Oh man, I'm so clumsy... Resting her head on the counter, she closed her eyes This is the first time I've got to sit down since leaving the gym. A tidal wave of memories flashed through her mind, relentlessly assaulting her. When the two trucks collided for the thousandth time, her heart came to a stop, and she fell backwards. It all ended when her feet were swept into the air and her head almost smashed against the floor. This caused only a groan as she got up, steadying herself.

This is the first time I've had more than one flashback in a day, but considering how odd the circumstances are, it's not too surprising. Well, I'm not even sure that today, there is no way for me to find out. But I can't let this set me back, to increase my chances of survival it's best that I familiarize myself with the environment. Getting up and removing the bar stool from her foot, Avery left peeked over the counter getting a glimpse of a red button. It had a skull on it, as if it was some kind of trap, which she didn't want to mess with. At the stage she found some musical instruments (in the back) and a control console which would activate pyrotechnics (edge of stage.) Out of curiosity, she pressed one of them, creating a waterfall of orange sparks that sprayed down onto the stage.

Alexander Eriksen, Ultimate Chess Player.

"That is good to hear," Alexander replied honestly, "and it is a pleasure to meet you as well, Mr. Hasanov." Alexander responded with a small smile. Sebastian, so far, did not yet seem to be the sort of person who would be a threat. Though... a short, absurd thought floated through his head, that in many murder mysteries the butler was often responsible. But perhaps instead he'd be a helpful ally? One so eager to assist could easily be taken advantage of by others, and he may very well need protection because of it.

At Sebastion's next suggestion, Alexander nodded. "Quite right of you, Mr. Hasanov. And it is fine for you to speak, yes? In this scenario, it would be best for several of us to work together and decide what to do next. While it is a good idea to explore the limits of this;" He paused for a moment, "This prison of ours, that leaves them open to traps or an opportunist looking to end this game early. Or to simply getting lost, on a less morbid note. I'm sure you'd agree?" Alexander smiled again.

He hoped one of the others in the group would chime in soon, he needed as much information as he could get. For the second time in his life, he was in a game he could not afford to lose. This time, he would win.

As each student started to adjust to their life inside Hikami Academy, a chime was suddenly heard from across the school. Coming from the intercom positioned all around the school, Itami's voice was heard as he gave out a bit of an important message. "Attention! Make sure you be on the look out for a 16th student that has managed to be out of the boundaries in Hikami Academy. He's completely harmless, but make sure to alarm both the headmaster and deputy headmistress, if he is found. News besides that. You have a couple of hours before it reaches night. Make sure to mingle with other students! That is all."

Somehow, Mazo herself appeared out of nowhere to greet Avery Lee. "Do you like the pyrotechnic display? This is the original stage where the band "Atlantis Whirlpools" played with their debut alarm! I do admit that Hikami Academy fixed up the stage a bit to make sure it's against OSHA regulations. However, since this IS the killing game, you can get to experience the joy of having some nice burns. And I noticed you happened to find the hatch, well even though it isn't of interest."

How did it get here? Last time they used smoke to make a stealthy get away, but...she must have been following me. I haven't seen it this whole time, except for in the gym of course, so it might have a different hiding spot than the stage, unless it can really teleport, which wouldn't be very strange if they have the ability to resurrect the dead. "It's fine, I guess." Avery didn't have an opinion. It was only something simple. She'd seen many firework shows before, and none of them were spectacular. Avery was about to leave to inspect the other room across from this club, but had to ask a few question before she did. "I have a couple questions, if you are able or willing to answer. Have you ever seen a past killing game, or have information on one, in the case that this isn't the very first. If so, how long did it take, or does it usually take before someone ends up being murdered? How many times has the first blackened succeeded in escaping? I'd ask more, but I don't trust you."

"Oh honey, I don't want to get your hopes down. Well, unless you rely on hope that is." Mazo seemed eager to answer some questions. "Stories of killing games have been around before you guys even woke up here. Usually, the blackened doesn't make it at the first trial, however after that, things get fuzzy. Mazo tried to sound caring towards Avery, but there was clearly something she's not telling.

"Stories of killing games have been around before you guys even woke up here. Stories of killing games? What does she mean? I wonder if something happened outside. Or was there always something out there, something most people on the surface didn't know about? Perhaps, these robots are created, and go through life until being selected to host a killing game, hearing stories from others. Yeah, it makes no sense, but it's an interesting thought. Dumb thoughts can be interesting ones.

-Usually, the blackened doesn't make it at the first trial, however after that, things get fuzzy. Our first killing game did have a 4 day limit as the first motive, where if no one killed in the first 4 days, everyone would die. And I was truly surprised when the blackened revealed why they did it. This is probably nothing important, but it might be good to remember.

-You can trust me. If I'm real to you, then what can't you trust?"This is definitely suspicious. Am I in a simulation, is my mind being implanted with fake memories? Whatever, this information isn't enough to properly theorize anything. I'll have to keep some notes about it. Maybe I can somehow connect the dots as time goes on.

On her way out and towards the surf shop, Avery peered down the shaft. She was unable to see anything down there, but it had to lead somewhere, and seemed to be the source of the flooding. She entered. The shop was, compared to the dreary darkness outside, bright and relaxing. It felt as if there should've been tropical music playing, but there wasn't. It was unnerving. Ignoring all of the surfboards, Avery walked over to the counter, looking down at the scuba tanks. A thought struck her mind, and she looked over at Osamu. "We can use these to travel through the shaft. We only have a couple of hours left before this area is potentially closed off for the night, so I think we should get this over with now. It's up to you, I just think that is this a job suited best for two people, after all, who knows what might be down there?"

Osamu Hamada

Osamu was examining the silver surfboard, when Avery Lee walked into the scuba shop where she examined the oxygen tanks for scuba diving. "You're going to attempt to go deep sea diving into that shaft, even with your clothes on?" Osuma remarked, as he was examining a scuba tank on the counter, also. "Actually, I think I found a way to identify a loophole in the rules. Even though, some areas are off-limits during night time, neither of the robots didn't say which areas are off-limits. Those two would put out warnings on what areas were off-limits in the first place. Especially, our watches. If we were in an off-limits area, the watches would start to beep." Osuma was about to explain more, until Mazo appeared again. This time with Itami.

"Actually, we didn't go into full detail with the rules, we do admit. Though, we do hear that having restrictions will make you more creative!" Itami said to Osamu and Avery, as Mazo accompanied him. "That silly rule that we made? It wasn't a rule, it was a simple warning. Besides, if you wanted to kill someone, you would have waited till everyone went to sleep to commit the murder. So when you're not in your dorms or in any other area that is "off limits", you're technically in high-risk of being their victim. And let's be honest. Every has a motive of wanting to go home!" "You two are somewhat demonic. Jeez." Osuma remarked about the two robots.

"Also, I can't help by hearing that you two plan on going down there? Underwater? Where you two will clearly die horribly?" Itami asked the two with their plans on going down the shaft.

Vera Ostapova Bender

Vera was following close behind Avery. The tough attitude that Avery emitted caused Vera to feel at greater ease. The dead end to the hallway they explored prior to coming into the dorms persisted in her mind. Caution tape? What is with the radiation sign? It must be for show. In any case, I can be sure that for the time being these robots don't want us to be in there. Whether or not I want to test my fate and see what is behind those doors is another story. Being wrong could make me a Chernobyl victim.

When Avery and Vera arrived at the doors, Vera nodded to Avery's suggestion to investigate their own dorm room themselves. Vera swallowed hard and gripped the door knob into her designated room. It's just another dorm room. It's just another dorm room. Vera repeated to herself as she opened the door. As she opened the door and walked in, it was apparent to her that this seemed like another dorm room. A bed, a desk and chair, a radio, a closet, a drawer and a bathroom. She shut the door behind her and walked towards the closet. It better not be a skeleton, Vera mused to herself. As she opened the closet door and saw all the identical clothing she was very astonished. "Well atleast I don't have to worry about what I am going to be wearing for my imprisonment here." She then walked over to the bathroom and opened the door. Sure enough it was a regular bathroom, shower, toilet, sink and all. They definitely planned for us to stay here for the long term. She looked back to the door. Avery must be waiting for me.

As she walked towards the door, she glanced at her bed. Can't help to feel how comfortable this bed will be. It might be the last thing I sleep on for the rest of my life. She took off her shoes and lied down on the bed. Her head rested on the pillow. Mmm... maybe I just close my eyes for a bit before heading out... it would... be nice. Just a minute. Maybe another minute. I will get out soon...

Vera opened her eyes after she heard the chime. She lifted herself slowly out of the bed as the announcement began playing over the intercom...

Avery Lee

Avery sat down on the counter "I don't care about how risky it is. And is there anything particularly dangerous down there? As long as we have oxygen, we won't drown, so unless it caves in, I don't know what threats we'll have to face. As for clothes...I don't really care, there are replacements in our dorms, I can just bring another pair here and change afterwards, or go in naked, but I doubt you'd want to accompany me, even if you felt like it. Then again, I am get a little sleepy *yawn* so we could wait until tomorrow. It isn't a very urgent matter." Jumping off the counter, she crouched down and leaned up against it, awaiting a response from the robots, and Osamu.
I know it's short, but there isn't much else I can write.

"So you plan on having yourself end up dead tomorrow? Well, at least you have a schedule, that's for sure! We might as well head back to our offices for the rest of the day. So long and rest easy!" Itami said to the two, as they hovered out of the door out of the scuba shop. Osuma ran up to the door to see where they went and noticed that they have vanished. "They're gone. You're sure you want to go along with this? I have a feeling it's a trap of some sort. You don't think it's odd that they are letting you go underwater? If someone going underwater, I think the person who should....well me." Osuma suddenly blurted out, as he clearly had an expression of worry on his face.

Avery Lee

Avery got up. "It is best that only one of us goes in, I guess. If one of us goes in, and doesn't come out, everybody will know that it isn't a good idea to go down there. If two of us went, the other could stay a bit behind and leave if things got bad, but even that could pose a risk. I am the Ultimate Lucky Student, and my name is Avery Lee. I didn't remember to introduce myself earlier. Anyways, it's not odd that they're letting us go underwater, but that doesn't mean that I don't have suspicions, I have suspicions about the shaft, about others, about this entire killing game, about reality. I was talking to Mazo in the other room, and my doubts have only been furthered since that conversation. She told me "you can trust me. If I'm real to you, then what can't you trust?" Anyways, if you really want to go down there alone, than I'll at least stay at the top to see if you make it back or not." Stretching her arm out, Avery offered to give Osamu her flashlight "I don't know if it is waterproof or not, but if so, it will be a very useful tool."

"I might as well. If I told you that I don't really have any reason to be in this killing game, I just want to hope. Hope that maybe down there, there is an exit or something outside. Then, again. If those robots are telling the truth, they making sure we don't get the full story. The possibility of robots existing is something I would consider true, but there is a lie within there somewhere. Besides, I don't want you to do it, because your luck might come in handy in the future. Even if I have no idea what my identify is, I might take the guess of being the Ultimate Scuba Diver, but..he he." Osuma let out a chuckle. "You even planning on spending the night awake down here? You might pass out or something, though."

"I don't believe in luck, but if you're volunteering...ughh, I still feel bad that you're putting your life on the line for something I could just as easily do instead. So, let's just hope that is your actual talent, because you might end up needing it." Avery limped out of the room, and sat down at the shaft. I doubt somebody'll murder me here, but if they do, they'll probably end up getting away with it, seeing as all they have to do is push me into the water with the tip of their toes once I'm asleep. Hopefully, in that case, Osamu will make it back soon enough to catch them in the act.

Once he exited, "You can go in now, but I'm going to get another pair of clothes for you to change into once you get back."

Osamu Hamada

Osamu grabbed the scuba tank, hauling it out with him out of the room, where he saw the shaft at the end of the hall. The shaft itself seemed foreboding as it already was. Curious, Osamu stuck his hand into the shaft to see if his watch would start to beep. Nothing. Osamu took a deep breath, before walking back to the scuba shop. He needed to get himself ready. Taking off his shirt, but giving his pants on, he decided to leave the stuff he gotten from the museum on the counter at the scuba shop. Dropping off the 100-sided dice and the mysterious package, he proceeded to walk back to the shaft with the scuba tank. Placing the mouthpiece over him, he let himself get some oxygen, because submerging himself into the water.

As he heard the announcement, Aleksandr went into his room. Vadim was already in his, adding a few changes to the "Drawing" he put on the wall.

He planned on showing Vera in the morning.

Aleksandr turned on his radio, and studied the piece of debris. It appeared to be a fan blade of some sort, as it was heavily burnt, and he did find a feather and a few... bits of what appeared to be a bird.

"That's the crash that nearly killed me..."

He got up and went to sleep, whilst Vadim stayed up the whole night.

Simone Bellerose
Ultimate Photojournalist

The young lady frowned at Itami's announcement as she fiddled with her hands in nervousness. "Even if it's almost nighttime... It's quite the feat for someone to sleep soundly with our situation right now..." She muttered in soft French, staring at the intercom and at her classmates. She's rather surprised as to how some of her new classmates take the idea of being trapped in such a place, for the purpose of killing each other no less. Now's not the time to really leisurely walk around but to talk to each other for their next course of action. Letting other people stray on their own makes a murder plot easier to hatch. Simone weakly smiled at Alexander and Sebastian as they introduced themselves. "It's a pleasure to meet you two... Quite the talents too! I-I mean, Ultimate Butler and Ultimate Chess Player? This would have been something I could get a scoop on outside this place and get an article ready for publishing..." Her French accent lingers slightly in her voice, like a sweet dusting of sugar over a soft pastry. "My name's Simone Bellerose. Just a humble photojournalist, it's quite an honor to join this school with many other talented people but... seeing our state right now, it's more of a slow burn of a nightmare..." The Ultimate Photojournalist sighed worriedly. "This is just quite... unbelievable, yes? To be placed in an enclosed space to kill each other... That's something that only happens in fiction or, I don't know, corrupt dictatorships. I'm kind of worried now, with all our classmates wandering the school without knowing each other. Violence is easier without knowing your victim..."
Random stuff here. Random stuff there. Bla bla bla. Whatever I don't care.

Vera Ostapova Bender

As the announcement ended, Vera was closing the door to her room. I have to find Avery. I can't believe that I let her down. She ran down the dorm doors until she found a door with Avery's name on it. She began knocking furiously. "Avery, Avery are you there? It's me, Vera! Avery?" She continued this action for a whole minute before stopping. Okay, maybe this is not the best idea. If anything I am overreacting. Vera stopped and stood near the door. If she doesn't come out, then she may not be here. Where would she go? We explored everywhere. Well, everywhere except... Her eyes widened and she began to run back towards the central hall.

The journey from the dorms to the kitchen was a short for Vera. Espcially since she was concerned with the well being of her new friend. She took a flashlight from the chest. Which would enable her to explore whatever was down there. "Avery, are you down there?" Vera yelled into the hole. Wait, don't I have this megaphone? It might be excessive, but I will definitely know that someone would hear me. She gripped the megaphone she had taken and began examining it. It indeed seemed like a normal megaphone. There was a button to press to make sound, its power switch, a volume control slide and a detachable handheld microphone with a cable leading back into the megaphone. Built for easy use. She flicked the power switch and turned down the volume slide to its middle setting. Here it goes... She pressed and held onto the power switch. There was a loud crack as it came to life. "Avery, are you down there?" She blasted down into the shaft. The reverberations from her enhanced voice caused Vera to flinch and let go of the button as when her message ended.

Sebastian Hasanov-The Ultimate Butler

Hearing the sudden announcement that it was almost nighttime, Sebastian frowned lightly and looked at the group around him.

"Well then," he started off saying before continuing, closing his eyes and sighing, "it seems that it is almost nighttime. We should really be heading to our dorms and preparing for tomorrow. Hopefully we can all meet up and start to discuss exactly what to do; though I would like to get up a bit earlier than the rest and prepare a large breakfast for everyone. If you all can do me a favor and perhaps get the others inside the cafeteria to meet up, we can hopefully enjoy a nice meal while we discuss our plans to perhaps get to know each other and find a way to escape."
He then looked at Simone and smiled warmly at her hoping to cheer her up some. "Well don't be too discouraged. We'll be find. If you would like, I wouldn't mind walking everyone to their sleeping areas so that nothing too strange or weird happens."

It was rather ironic how a person who's sole job was to take orders from everyone else and fulfill their wishes also have the confidence to take action first. Yet despite such small doses of leadership, he would rather be in the background and let the others discuss a plan while he watches and executes it out.

Once done talking, Sebastian placed his hands behind his back and began walking over to the gym door before opening it as a typical butler would do and smiled at the rest of the group in with him. "So. Shall we go?"
