A galaxy full of planets and people. Different governments. No rules. Too hard to follow.
Create planet and army and lets begin.

I probably need to do a bit of editing though seeing as how we can only be democracies. Could a former monarchy still be okay?

I’d rather you didn’t. I’m not trying to be too hardline but part of the backstory of the Orthion system is that it has always more or less been a system of freedom and democracy, since the earliest days of the Union. The last of the monarchies and empires fell amidst the birth of the Union.

PLANET CLASS: Ice World
PLANET SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Roughly 80% of the Earth
PLANETARY WEATHER AND CLIMATES: Jilavya has a mostly cold, frozen climate, with a global average of -30 Celsius. This is still within the acceptable human range of habitation, but has forced the Jihlavyans to build massive cities into and under mountain ranges, so as to afford protection against the absolutely brutal blizzards that sweep across the surface on a fairly regular basis. Despite the less-than-appealing surface, there exist expansive underground oceans which support myriad forms of life, thanks to heat from geothermal vents.
MOONS: Aruveter - The larger of Jihlavya's two moons, Aruveter is a little under 20% the mass of the mother planet. It's atmosphere was once minimal, but centuries of careful terraforming and sculpting have rendered it habitable for about the last two hundred years. Possessing large continents and richer soils than Jihlavya, Aruveter largely serves as the breadbasket of the entire Republic, providing enormous agricultural harvests that are barely able to provide for six and a half billion citizens given the tributes that the Vendouri take annually.
Vondarc - About 10% of Jihlavya's mass, Vondarc is similar in that it is an ice body. Only this time, there is no atmosphere and no sub-ice world ocean, so organic life is quite impossible. The only inhabitants are a few million miners and military personnel. Vondarc is still relatively valuable because of various elements, like methane, hydrogen and helium, that can be mined from the moon.
MOST ABUNDANT PLANETARY RESOURCES: hydrogen, ice, metal ores, alloys
SCARCEST PLANETARY RESOURCES: Silicon, foodstuffs
CURRENT POPULATION COUNT: 7.2 billion total (5.7 billion on Jihlavya, 1.5 billion on Aruveter, 10 million on Vondarc)
CURRENT PLANETARY GOVERNMENT: The Republic of Jihlavya
GOVERNMENT IDEALISM: Capitalist-Democratic
GOVERNMENT LEADER(S): Chancellor Jan Moravec
LEADER TITLE(S): Chancellor
GOVERNMENT-PLANETARY CAPITAL CITY: Kashirskoye
GOVERNMENT BANNER:(Image)
ECONOMIC STANDING: Poor
CULTURAL SIMILARITY: Slavs
GOVERNMENT DISPOSITION TOWARD VENDOURI RULERSHIP: Tolerant
POPULATION DISPOSITION TOWARD VENDOURI RULERSHIP: Hated to Abysmal, depending on region
CURRENT GLOBAL ISSUES:
•Widespread Disease or Epidemic
•Civil Unrest and-or Rioting
MILITARY AND NAVY INFORMATION By official records, the Jihlavyan Ground Forces number close to two million individuals. Most of these, approximately 1.7 million men and women, belong to the Home Guard. This branch works in tandem with local law enforcement to keep order in the various mountain cities and assist in disaster recovery. The other 300,000 count themselves among the Republican Army and are charged with protecting the planet and its moon from attack.
There are, however, a number of unlawful militias and paramilitaries which have sprung up over the past decade. Some are known to the collaborationist government; others are not.
Jihlavya doesn't have much of a Navy, since most of it was lost in battle and much of the remainder was forcibly mothballed by the peace treaty. Currently, the 50,000-strong Navy only utilizes 1 Drake-class battleship, 7 Strider-class cruisers, 14 Vandal-class frigates, some three dozen corvettes and fighter and bomber squadrons. This force has struggled to keep order in Jihlavyan space given the recent pirate infestation over the past several years, which the Vendouri have mostly declined to deal with. However, some private interests have been quietly busy beneath the mountain cities - and they certainly haven't been building pleasure yachts.
OTHER:Prior to the Great War, the Republic of Jihlavya was a relatively prosperous planet and major naval power on the edge of the Orthion System. With a powerful fleet and very favorable trade margins, Jihlavya seemed poised to become a dominant power broker in the Union. Perhaps the dominant state.
Then the Vendouri arrived. Jihlavya, on the outer periphery, was one of the first planets to encounter them, mere weeks after the destruction of the planet Vagner. Without so much as an ultimatum they began indiscriminately annihilating merchants, miners, and navy ships alike. The Jihlavyan Navy regrouped and fought many battles in the orbit of their two moons, or amidst outlying asteroids. Some of these they even won.
But it was to no avail. Jihlavya only survived complete destruction because the Vendouri were too busy with their offensive into the core worlds, and the siege of Arenior. A surface bombardment late in the war killed well over two hundred million people; the battered Navy was too weak to stop it.
After the destruction of the Arenior and the Council, the Vendouri were quick to land ground forces on Jihlavya. After a fierce, weeks-long ground battle, they broke into the capital of Kashirskoye. After sacking the city, they massacred much of the Chamber of Deputies and appointed career bureaucrat Stojan Vikhrov as the new chancellor. Faced with no other recourse, Vikhrov signed the treaty that the Vendouri put in front of him and went about making sure that the occupation did as little damage to his people as possible, although the draconian terms of the Orthion Sanction made that an impossibility. Mostly, he was shrewd enough to avoid an outright rebellion on the planet.
However, in 3241, Vikhrov succumbed to his advanced age. His political protege and successor was Jan Moravec, who had served as governor of Aruveter previously.
Moravec, unfortunately, cannot even make up for his status as a collaborationist by being a good administrator, as his predecessor was. He has also proven unable to deal with the strange virus known as světového jedlíčka (world eater), which arrived on-world in 3249 and has thus far evaded all medical attempts at a cure, extracting a serious toll from the population. Resentment, quietly brewing for decades, is about to boil over.
