He glanced down at the two zorua. What they must be going on about he couldn't guess.

"You're probably the first person with a zorua I've seen in a while. I'm from Sinnoh, and they aren't native there. That said, I did find Duncan there, but I imagine he must have been brought there somehow. What's your zorua's name? And... I guess you're going to be heading to one of the gyms? I haven't really done one of these leagues before. I guess I mostly came here to try to find some friends."

He didn't have to look down to know that Duncan was listening to every word he said and rating his conversation skills accordingly. For someone who couldn't talk, Duncan understood a lot.

The Shy Zorua Trainer!
He seems nice, dontcha think Nyx?
Yeah, yeah! Go ahead and talk to him. I have better things to do.
So your names Duncan huh?

“My Zoruas name is Nyx, thanks for asking, and yeah, me and this other guy are going to Selverde first. And, you’re here to look for friends, right? Well... I’ll be your friend!” Alice have another little smile before looking down at Nyx. She chatted eagerly with Duncan. “So, you said you were from Sinnoh? What’s that place like?”

"Thanks!" This time his smile was much warmer and less awkward.

"Sinnoh's nice. A lot less tropical than it is here, for the most part. I'm from the southwestern part, and its pretty temperate there. Lots of forests. Further north it gets absolutely freezing, but I haven't been there before."

He didn't mention any real specifics about his home area. This was normal, but there was also the faintest tinge of sadness in his voice at some points, almost not even there. Duncan seemed to notice in a way that suggested very human intelligence, but given that Alice's zorua could talk this probably wouldn't be much of a surprise to her.

"So... are you from around here? I'd imagine that most people are from this region. I took an ocean liner to Nataluz City to get here."

Meanwhile, the two zorua were having a separate conversation.

"Yeah. We're from Sinnoh, like he said. We traveled around that region for about a year before coming here. We're not here for battling so much as seeing new things. We tend to keep on the road a lot. We don't exactly have a place to stay... I'd explain why, but I don't think Marty would appreciate that."

He looked up at Marty briefly.

"I mean, he probably wouldn't know, but he understands me pretty well considering that he can't make sense of a word I say. Can't beat me at chess, though."

Malcolm Brite
Route 1, heading to Selverde City

The rustling grasses parted and something floated on a gust of wind. Malcolm nearly missed the pokémon, mistaking it for a simple flower. But, Eve knew better. She could see the tiny fairy-type holding on to the bright red flower that floated so delicately on the wind. Malcolm, alerted to the true nature of the flower by Eve, pulled his pokédex from his pocket and quickly received a message from the database: Flabébé. The Single Bloom Pokémon. Flabébé chooses its flower at birth and uses its power for the duration of its life. "Huh, what do you think, Eve? You ready?"

"Eevee." The faithful pokémon replied.

Before Malcolm could give an order, the air around Flabébé began to shimmer as the wild pokémon spun around on its flower. A gust of wind was summoned and sent the shinning particles towards Eve. Quick on his feet, Malcolm gave Eve and instruction. "Eve, counter with Sand-Attack!" Eve followed the command and used her rear paws to send a burst of sand flying back towards Flabébé. The two clouds collided and the force of Eve's attack pushed both clouds into Flabébé. On his toes now Malcolm quickly gave another order: "Now Eve tackle!" Eve nodded and charged towards her opponent. The flower pokémon sent out a pair of vines from her flower directly towards Eve. Without so much as a word from Malcolm Eve's instincts kicked in and she side-stepped to avoid the attacks and connected directly with Flabébé. The lightweight pokémon went careening with a sharp cry. Worried she may faint and float away, Malcolm took an empty pokéball from his belt and clicked the center button, enlarging it and tossed it at Flabébé. It was a difficult toss, since she was so small, but the ball connected with its target. It fell into a patch of grass and Malcolm lost sight of it. He waited breathlessly for a few seconds. He wasn't totally sure how much time should pass before a pokémon was truly caught, but he cautiously approached the grass. Eve bounded after him and dived into the grass, emerging with a ball in her mouth.

Malcolm took the ball in his hand and pressed the center. In a flash of red the tiny flower emerged, landed in his empty hand and the shy pokémon poked her head out from behind the stem. Malcolm smiled at her. "Sorry we got rough with you. But, I think we could be good friends." Flabébé smiled and came out from her hiding place. Malcolm knelt down to introduce Eve to their new teammate. "This is Eve. She's not as mean as she seemed in the battle." Eve nuzzled up against Flabébé's flower and sneezed as pollen flew up her nose. Malcolm and Flabébé both laughed and Malcolm stood and walked back towards Adam and Alexander, Flabébé floating in his palm. "Everyone, I'm pleased to introduce you to Rose." Malcolm called with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. He was just hitting on me but, I think he learned his lesson or I hope," she replied as she knocked the dust from her gloves. She listened as the professor lead the group to his lab and how the boy from earlier rushed in to get out of sight.

She saw Jackson talking to some girl, Serana walked over to the boy from earlier. "So did you learn your lesson or is there going to have to be round two?" She inquired with a stern look on her face. She wasn't going to deal with this guy her whole journey if she had the choice. She looked him straight in the eyes waiting for an answer, hopefully, he had learned his lesson.

Christopher Liu
"Huh, I didn't know you love me that much Sweetheart. Did you really try to find me just for a "second" round? I guess I didn't satisfy you enough with our first round, also what lesson? I have already learned every lesson there is, after all, you don't become a super pervert by being clueless." That girl really loved him or just really loves to beat people up but who cares, as long as he get's his ramen and "research" done he would be happy.

Then he heard another boy talking to the girl that he was "flirting" with. He said something about super pervert and another girl. "I'm gaining a fanbase already huh. I must be really popular" he muttered to himself before turning to the boy and said "Wait let me travel with you guys. I promise that I won't perv on the girls that much, so are we cool? If you don't mind me asking are you and the miss here a couple, because even though I'm a super pervert, I still have a sense of moral. So concluding that part which city are you guys planning to go first? I want to go to Selverde City first since I'll have a type advantage against the gym leader there, also I want to catch several pokemon in the rainforest."

Serana Mystan

"I DO NOT love you and stop calling me sweetheart unless you want to get beat again!" She threatened as the flames returned to her eyes and looked over at Jackson. "Yeah, ill travel with you but, the pervy sage wannabe might as well come with us since I had plans of going to Selverde first," she advised as she joined Jackson and the other girl and waited for the rest of the group to decide what to do. Man, I really hope I don't regret this journey. That boy there is really going to get on my nerves very quickly. I have already had to beat him and he keeps calling me sweetheart, that is really starting to piss me off. "So what are we waiting for?" She asked as she leaned against the wall and pushed some stray hairs out of her face.

Ness Cordellia
Pokemon Center, Altorre City

Ness stood in the middle of the Pokemon Center, still trying to find a phone of some sorts. But instead he found nurses rushing in fainted psyducks, trainers clutching to their paralyzed pals, hotshots flirting with ladies. Heck, even some of the other trainers from the lab were there, including that blonde-haired fellow with the stylish scarf. In the confusion, Cordellia decided to walk over to a far wall and pull out his Pokedex and look at the map again. While swiping through the different parts of the contraption, Ness noticed a symbol he didn't see before. He engaged in the program, which pulled up a keypad with numbers and tiny letters on it. "Is this what I think it is?" he thought to himself, typing in a certain array of digits.

Charlotte had finished unpacking the living room when her phone began to ring once more. "Hello?" she answered the mysterious number.

"Hey mom"
"Ness? Didn't recognize you from the caller ID."
"Heh, yeah, it's a long story."
"So what do you need? I saw on the news that the whole fiasco with those hooligans ended finally."
"Yeah, the whole engagement with "Team Shade" is over, thank goodness. Anyways, I was gonna tell you I might not be home for...well...awhile.
Ms. Cordellia froze briefly, much to the worry of Pearl.
"What do you mean, Nessie?"
"I was thinking about exploring the region for a bit. You know, meet new folks, catch more Pokemon, battle trainers and gym leaders alike. Might as well do it now while I'm in the prime of my adolescence, right?"
Charlotte feared the day Ness would ask that question. To travel across the region doing the same thing his father had done prior to his insanity. It seemed preposterous, but even she knew stopping him would be pointless.
"Yeah, heh, I guess you're right. I really can't stop you from traveling."
"You sure? I mean, I was just gonna hop to the next town over and come back."
"It's fine, dear. You have that trail mix I gave you, right?"
"Yeah, still got a good three quarters of it left."
"Good. Say, hun, I gotta go. Could you give me a call whenever you're on your way back to Altorre?"
"You got it, mom. Love you."
"Love you, too, dear."

Ness ended the call and looked over at Prosper, who was tucked beneath his wings. "Well, Prosper, let's get going.".

En Route to Jemoia Town

Ness had departed from the Pokemon Center and embarked for the supposedly deserted town of Jemoia. As he walked beyond the city limits, residencies and patches of grass dissolved into the mountainous, barren highlands of untamed Maderia. Here lies the wildest of Pokemon, where types shooed from urban skylines come to frolic. Ness was more than ecstatic. It was the perfect environment for training Prosper and catching new Pokemon for future gym battles. He wanted to wait a bit before fighting Liana at a gym where his Pokemon would suffer tremendously, so finding Pokemon critical in taking on her's and Ferris's gyms would be favorable.

As Cordellia and Prosper continued along their solo mission, the rock formations around them began to escalate slowly, with each hill growing a tad more difficult to scale than the last. By the sixth hill, they became winded, or at least Ness was. "Take 5, Pros?" the boy asked in between breaths. The wingull chirped in agreement, perching himself onto a small rock next to his owner. Ness pulled out his bag of trail mix and ate a few pretzels, giving some to Prosper as well. As they rested, a couple small rocks had been pushed off a ledge above them, falling just behind the teenager and startling him. "Hello?", Ness called, turning his head up to the source of the fallen pebbles. At first, it seemed to look like nothing. Soon, the corner of a shadowy figure had appeared off the edge, giving Ness the unease of not being alone. "We mean no harm, promise! If you want to come down, feel free to!", he called up to the figure, then turning his head over to the confused wingull. "Get ready, Pros," he whispered, "This may just be your first wild battle!".

Lloyd Ninten, Altorre Pokemon Centre

Lloyd handed Fluxy's Pokeball over to Nurse Joy so he could be healed from the battle in the city centre. Fluxy hadn't taken much damage, but he needed his team in tip top shape before heading off. He'd already given Joy his brother's pokedex to be sent back to Patagol City, now that he had his own. He decided look again at the Madeira League information. He knew Selverde was a grass-type gym, but Fluxy wasn't exactly the best suited to deal with that. What was grass weak to again? Fire, obviously, but he'd have to explore the highlands to find a fire type. Flying types, again it'd be in the highlands or around Selverde in the rainforest itself. Maybe he'd get lucky on find some trees along the way. Bug types would be an interesting one, again mainly in the trees, but again most likely in Selverde. He'd have to go back home to have any chance at finding an ice type, and frankly, going by the gym lineups, there wasn't any point in getting an ice type just yet - not till the Elite 4, at any rate. A poison type? Well, those could be anywhere - heck he could run into before leaving Altorre, if he was lucky.

Whilst he was pondering over this, he recognised a familiar face entering the Pokemon Centre - one of the trainers who helped battle Team Shade at the Square. He never caught his name properly - Ness, maybe - but it was definitely him, the boy with a wingull. He waved over at him, but didn't manage to grab his attention. Lloyd shrugged as Ness went over to one of the phone booths to make a call, going back to his maps. Maybe exploring the highlands first was the best idea, see if he could catch himself a flying or a fire type. Not to mention, a great habitat to see plenty of wild ground and rock types in their natural habitat. Jemoia Town and its mines would be even better, but he'd save that for the return trip, especially since catching ground types needed a lot more prep work. After the highlands, he figured he'd take Route 1 and then detour off to Hevea Farm - Lloyd had never seen a pokemon ranch before, and where better to learn about them than the biggest one in the region. Plus, a farm would attract all sorts of pokemon, so he might get lucky there as well.

With that out of the way, he packed his things into his bag, and got out the pokedex, deciding to call home and tell everyone that he was fine - at this point, everyone would have heard about Team Shade's attacks. He could only reach the house phone's voicemail though, and decided to leave a message telling them that was fine and all, and also where he was heading. Shutting the call, he left the centre and headed out to fine Route 1, planning on leaving the beaten track and heading to wild western side as soon as he could. An hour or so later, he found himself leaving the road, heading out towards the biggest hill near him. Not long after, with Fluxy by his side, he heard a cry from above him, although with the sun in his eyes he couldn't make out what it was. Whatever it was, it was certainly getting closer.

Lucas Monteiro
Route 1 - Altorre to Selverde

Lucas took his time as he left the city, his steps slowly but surely taking him to the city up north where he could start his career as a Trainer in proper form, facing a grass gym leader. He was well aware of Liana's reputation of skill, but in his mind, he had a good enough shot of beating her, specially with how eager Jain was to compete. He could tell just by her expression as she moved near him. The Vulpix didn't even bother with staying at her Pokéball after being taken care of by the Nurse.

He could still recall the plans he threaded with the help of his friend, the former trainer Alícia, who also happens to be the one who taught Jain the basics back when the two seemed aimed to take on the world... until she decided to take the boring choice of applying to a University. He aimed for four Pokémon: a Grass-type and a Water-type Pokémon in order to fulfill the triumvirate of types, as Alícia mentioned; a Pokémon that knew how to Fly so his trips would, eventually, be shorter, and a Meowth for funds generation. For the time being, he'd have to use his charms and sweet talk his way into meals and beds... or just use the hospitality of friendly people that the region was supposed to have.

Lucas prepared himself, however, already well aware that he'd need another Pokémon anyway. As is, he figured to use the route mostly as the training ground for Jain... at least as soon as he found Selverde, so he'd have a place to rest her between battles.

Theodore Mosley
As the other trainer went off to fight a Wurmple, Theodore said "Okay, well see you later." He wished that he got the trainer's name before he ran off. "Come on Mr. Hugs, were going now." he said as he started heading off down route one.

Mr. Hugs, hearing his trainer and seeing him start to leave, quickly came too him excited to start the adventure but also didn't want to be left behind again.

Route 1
The environment of Route 1 was something that Theodore was not accustomed too. The region seemed much more hot and humid then the colder climate of Sinnoh. He regretted wearing his suit jacket and bowler hat with him, but it was too late now to change it. He proceeded down the route, his Duskull following all around him, fazing in and out of bushes and other foliage while investigating the landscape, scaring off most other Pokémon. Eventually, Theodore made it to the outskirts of the rainforest, about half way through route one. He looked towards the route with trepidation, not wanting to go into there.

Christopher Liu, PRofessor Acai's lab
"Whatever you say, Sweetheart. I love my feisty and fit that bill perfectly." God if he had a brain that wasn't so focused on women he would have probably down what she wanted him to do which to stop calling her sweetheart, but then again he was a super pervert so he had already been beaten by women. The worst time was when his mother had caught him conducting his "research" on her. To put it lightly it took him a whole week to get back to walking normally. "Also the boy with the Pichu. AT LEAST CALL ME BY MY TITLE CORRECTLY. I'm A SUPER PERVERT, NOT a PERVERT. SAY IT WITH ME NEXT TIME OKAY? What do you mean I seem perverted? What do you expect when you hear someone screaming that they're a super pervert. Do you not expect me to ask someone what their size is huh, also you can't get rid of me that easily." After finishing his rant he was sure that the boy would remember to call hin super pervert next time, also he really needs to think about a team for the future. He already had a few pokemon that he knew that he wanted on his team, but the rest of the spots were still open. One pokemon that he wanted on his team should be common near Selverde city.

He wasn't sure what the others had in their mind when they became a pokemon trainer, but he was in this because he could get a lot of "research" done during this time and as a plus earn extra money while traveling, and it would definitely run into some hot gym leaders in the future. Ah, he could already see himself ten years in the future, but enough of that. He had to focus on what was happening currently and well daydreaming wasn't helping. The group that he was traveling with was a gold mine. He was traveling with two girls and you know what they say. Two girls are better than one for "research". This would have been great if an image that popped up in his mind while giggling perversely. It was his mother with a pan, all she was saying was don't be tempted by girls. This sent chills down his spine but eventually, he told himself this wasn't real and his mother could never reach him now that he started his journey.

"Alright guys, I'm going to exit Altorre city right now so if you want to join me on my trip you should get ready right now." When he finished he packed his stuff and grabbed his pokedex. He decided against calling his parents until at least reaching Selverde City. Even though he'll get an ear full he'll be saving time and he wouldn't have to worry about his mom dragging him back home. After leaving Altorre city, he had finally found route one after hours of walking he could finally see some jungle landscape. He wasn't sure if his group was still with him but he did a hear a sound and slight movement around the vegetation near the jungle. He didn't know what it was so he let Flame out of his Pokeball. The sound kept on getting closer and closer as the time went on

Pichu got mad when he wasn't called by his name by this rude boy, he started charging up electricity, shooting it out at Christopher, "Alright cool, c'mon Pervert, let's get going", he said, signaling to Christopher, he led them to the outskirts of the city. They were now officially on Route 1, "WOOOOOO!!", he yelled. "Route One, here we are!", he said. He noticed a shaking in the bushes, looking over at the bush, "What is that?", he asks.

Lloyd Ninten, Highlands west of Route 1

Lloyd screwed his eyes up and kept looking at the shape, still unable to make it out because of the sun behind it. It was definitely a flying pokemon, that much was certain, and as it got closer it seemed like quite a small one. Suddenly, the shape folded up and dove straight at Fluxy, who managed to dodge what turned out to be a quick attack. "I think we've got ourselves a Fletchling, Fluxy!" Lloyd said, pulling out his dex. While it's an amiable Pokémon, if you touch it unexpectedly, it will heat up its body in an instant, and you'll be burned.

Hmm, a fighter I see, Lloyd thought. I guess we've wandered into its territory. Still, I could use a battler like that, plus it's a flying type, which is what I wanted. "Let's go Fluxy, you'll to be careful for this one." Fluxy buzzed in response. "Let's try and win this without getting hurt, on either side." Fletchling swept back into the sky, and Lloyd ran out of cover so the sun was behind him, and watched as the tiny robin readied itself for another attack. Lloyd commanded for Thunder Wave, and Magnemite complied with a corridor of electric rings fired right at Fletchling, but it was fast enough to dodge the attack before coming in with a Peck attack. Fluxy was hit but didn't take much damage, spinning away to reduce the impact before firing off a Thunder Shock. The lightning bolts made contact, and Fletchling was hit hard. Lloyd took the opportunity and threw his pokeball, barely reaching where Fletchling was being shocked 15 feet in the air. But the ball made contact, opened up and absorbed Fletchling's energy. Lloyd caught it as it fell, and watched it roll a couple of times before coming to a stop in his hands. "Well, Fluxy, I think we did it, we just caught our first pokemon together! Nice one pal!"

Getting out one of his potions, he sprayed Magnemite to heal its minor injury, before releasing Fletchling from its pokeball. "Hello there little fella, that was some fight you put up there. I'm impressed. My name's Lloyd, and this is my partner Fluxy. We're travelling around Madeira looking for adventure, how about you join us? Don't worry, there'll be plenty of battles as well if that's what you want." Fletchling looked at Fluxy, who confirmed what Lloyd had said in its own language, and Fletchling chirped positively. "That's settled then, you're coming with us. Here, let me heal you with this potion." Spraying the potion onto the little bird, he thought about what to call his new friend. As he thought about it, his mind drifted back to an old Zubatman film he watched as a child. "I know, I think I'll call you Redson."

Glen Anderson
Prairie Area Route 1

Glen continued on after resting his pokemon for awhile, Gojira got acquainted to the two new new members of the team for several hours while they broke for lunch. Though initially hesitant the Wurmple and the Sentret were warming to Glen and Gojira, helped with the food shared between the team. After the 3 hour break when the team seemed somewhat healed Glen continued down route 1.

Glen checked his empty pokeballs, "only 3 left" he mumbled to himself. Wurmple and Sentret were welcome but he only had so many pokeballs and not a lot of money to purchase more, unless he saw some more uncommon pokemon he would have to be particular with the pokemon he tried to catch. He finally resolved to train a bit more before heading into the rainforest which he assumed would contain bug and grass pokemon which he had no type advantage with.

After walking a bit further down the path available to him he saw an individual a short distance off with pokeballs attached to their belt. "Hey!" said Glen breaking into a jog, "I'm itching for a battle, are you interested?"

Maxx Takibi
Altorre city

Maxx turned his Pokédex on and opened the map. Where should he go first? From here he was able to go to two gyms. After a while Maxx decided to go to Selverde city, where the Gym Leader specialized themselves in Grass types. Maxx turned off his newly acquired Pokédex and checked his bag one last time to make sure he got everything. Food: Check. Water: Check. Dry clothes: Check. Sleeping Bag: Check. Pokéballs: Check. Potions: Check. He was good to go. Maxx fixed his cap and pulled on his fingerless gloves before heading North.

Route 1,
A few meters outside of Altorre City

Everything was so nice and quiet; bird Pokémon singing in the background, rustling leafs, the smell of grass, everything was great. Maxx walked at a rather moderate pace with his hands around the straps of his backpack with his head straight forward. There was a soft smile on his lips. He couldn't lie, he felt about the same excitement as he did about three years ago in Hoenn. His journey had now really begun. His legs were pretty much on auto-pilot as his mind wandered, curious of what kind of adventures he'll find himself in. That was, untill he heard something. He stopped and looked for the source of the sound, which came from the tall grass just by the road. He then saw that the tall grass was moving a little! Maxx reached for his belt and grabbed the Pokéball which was attached to it, pressing the white button to enlargen the ball. "Come out, Torchic!" Maxx yelled as he threw the ball. When the Pokéball hit the ground it opened and a small orange chick like Pokémon came out. "Torchic!" it chirped excited. "Torchic, pay attention to that tall grass, we might get attacked." Torchic chirped and nodded, before getting into a fighting stance.
Ditched my old signature. Will be making a pretty looking one when I find the time.

Glen Anderson
Prairie Area, Route 1

The young trainer proudly stood despite being a foot shorter than Glen “I’m Joey Fletcher! I’ll take any challengers!!”

Fletcher threw out a Budew, it was clearly injured probably only caught recently, but it assumed a readied stance. In response Glen decided to send out his own recently caught pokemon “Go Mothra!” Wurmple emerged in a flash of white light to face the fellow bug Pokemon. With superior speed Budew went first with the Youngster yelling “Absorb!”.

Image

“Smart Move” though Glen “Might not be super-effective but considering Budew is injured it will help even the playing field. Small glowing balls began moving from Wurmple to the Budew, “Mothra !” Glen commanded his Wurmple which proceeded to charge forward and strike with its tail scoring a hit and poisoning his opponent which more than made up for the health stolen.

In response the Budew was recalled by the Youngster, “Natural Cure?” said Glen questioning the choice “Yes indeed” replied the Youngster “All status conditions go away when I switch Budew out, now take my Lillipup!” the adorable dog pokemon emerged and barked in defiance. “Wurmple! Poison Sting” again a solid hit on the target, but the Lillipup was made of stronger stuff than the Budew and though poisoned it quickly responded with a Bite which did critical damage grabbing Mothra and thrashing her about for a time. “Return Mothra!” said Glen frustrated, Mothra had done well, Lillipup was poisoned but ultimately too strong. “Go Gojira!”

The Lillipup charged forward tackling Glen’s emerging starter pokemon “Give it a taste of its own medicine, Bite!” once contact was made between Lillipup and the Glen’s Larvitar, Gojira latched onto the neck of the dog pokemon, the two were quickling wrestling on the ground.

Bite again Lillipup!” said the youngster but as Lillipups fangs beared down Glen responded with the command “Iron Head!”. Lillipup’s teeth met the hardened Iron Head of the Larvitar, the damage this caused combined with several rounds of poison knocked the Lillipup unconscious, Gojira was victorious.

“I’m not done yet!” Youngster Joey Fletcher shouted in defiance sending out the damaged Budew, Glen returned Gojira “Good job” commented Glen in a satisfied manner, “now take Meeco!”. Glen’s Sentret emerged to confront the last pokemon in the Youngsters arsenal, ready to finish the fight.

Quick Attack!” Sentret charged forward with impressive speed and the Budew was unable to react, striking dead center and causing the Budew to fly back several feet, unconscious. Glen was the victor, the Youngster paid out $50 and went home in defeat while Glen celebrated with his team

Chris, just outside of the Rainforest
The shape was getting closer and the trees and vegetation were shaking more. The shape of the pokemon was one that was familiar to Christopher. Actually, it should be familiar to everyone. It was a pidgey, and boy were they "rare". It wasn't a pokemon that Christopher wanted in his team, but it would have to do for now, and who knows they could become friends, and it could aid Christopher in his "research." As he pulled his Pokedex to scan the pokemon the pidgey flapped its wings and created a powerful wind and aimed it at Flame.Luckily for Flame though, he had managed to dodge the attack. At the same time, the pokedex entry read "Pidgey the small bird pokemon. Pidgey has an extremely sharp sense of direction. It is capable of unerringly returning home to its nest, however far it may be removed from its familiar surroundings." This would be his second pokemon and his second pokemon "battle" so he didn't Flame to fall asleep again. "Flame don't you dare fall asleep. If you I swear that you won't get anymore ramen from me anymore, and if you lose you still won't get any ramen."

This pumped Flame up for the battle. He loved his ramen and he didn't want to lose it. He glared at the pidgey and in their language, he growled out "Look Birdy I don't want to fight but I forced to or else I don't ramen. I swear this is unpaid labor, but nothing I can do about that. The best thing you can do for me is to make this fight easier and so I don't have to work as hard." Being a pokemon was so troublesome. He was cut short when Christopher yelled "Flame use tackle, and when I mean tackle, actually tackle the pidgey don't pretend to tackle it. I know if you pretend to do it. I want to capture the pidgey with maximum health." Flame charged towards the pidgey while the pidgey did the same thing. Obviously, the pidgey wasn't on the bright side. After all, why would it want to tackle Charmander? Charmander was way stronger and faster. As they both collided Flame was forced backward with the force while the pidgey was knocked to the ground. Flame had no problem getting back into position, but the pidgey struggled a little, but eventually, it too flew up into the sky. "Flame use tackle again" Flame did as he told and this time pidgey couldn't respond fast enough. Christopher grabbed a pokeball and threw it at pidgey. It smacked the pidgey right in the face and its energy was sucked inside the ball.

When the three stars appeared on top of the Pokeball he let pidgey out of his Pokeball. "Sorry about that pidgey. I wanted to capture you and all of Flame's attacks do damage so please forgive me and Flame," said Christopher as he sprayed the newly captured with a potion. Meanwhile Flame was crying anime tears. Why was this damn pidgey getting better treatment, and why wasn't he the first one to be healed. "Char Char Charmander" "Suck it up big guy, your stronger and have more health, I promise to give you extra ramen tonight if you stop complaining and act nice." These were the moments that Christopher liked."Oh by the way pidgey I haven't named you yet what do you think I should call you." Christopher was so busy thinking of a name that he didn't realize that pidgey had grabbed one of his "books" that he loved. The little bird had a perverted grin while looking at the book, and when Christopher finally noticed what pidgey was reading, he gained an anime sweatdrop. He thought Can a pokemon even like a female human's body. To hell with it, my team is already weird, what can a perverted Pidgey do worse."You make me proud pidgey following in your trainer's footstep unlike this bum here." He said while pointing at Flame when he said that. "I have the perfect name for you. I'm gonna call you Christopher Jr." Both the newly named Perv and Flame sweatdropped at that. After a while of talking, more like just Christopher talking to Prev. Christopher stood up and returned Christopher Jr. to his Pokeball while letting Flame walk by his side. He was finally entering the Rainforest with his new team. Today was a good day he thought to himself before heading into the Rainforest that surronded Selverde City.

Ness Cordellia
En Route to Jemoia Town

Ness had called up to the figure perched above, hoping it'd show itself to him and Prosper. As the boy continued hollering, the wingull decided to take matters into his own hands, err, wings. Prosper lifted himself into the air and rose up to the ledge, only to be met with a scratch right to the beak! He flew back to Ness swiftly as the creature's agitation excelled. "What was it, Pros?", he tried to question as a distinct growl grew just meters away. Cordellia backed up a bit from the ledge as the creature jumped from its spot and landed right in front of the duo. "Easy, pal. We really mean no harm!" Ness explained to the Pokemon in front of him. As the creature got nearer to the wingull, she began to growl even louder. The tiny, toxic quills on the back of her light blue body began to flare up, her small horn aimed right at the seagull Pokemon with no intention on stopping when he faints. This wasn't your average Nidoran; This Nidoran was beyond the days of infancy. Faint scars had intertwined with the steaming Poison-type's face, her red eyes ablaze with death in her mind. Ness knew at this rate the Nidoran wouldn't settle down without the two scurrying off. "Prosper, get ready to fight!". Prosper got into battling position, standing directly between the Nidoran and Ness.

Cordellia took the opportunity to strike first with Wingull's speed. "Prosper, go ahead and confuse that Nidoran with Supersonic!". The Wingull complied, flying into the air before raining down a terribly loud screech towards the Poison Pin Pokemon. The Nidoran winced, but didn't seem confused or anything of the like, just a bit angrier. The creature leaped up, front-flipping twice before extending her glowing hind foot towards the descending Prosper. "Double Kick!" Ness said to himself before immediately scrambling to call out to Proser. "Pros! Dodge Nidoran's attack and use water gun!" he shouted to his aviary friend. The Wingull sideswiped out of Nidoran's path of destruction before turning around and firing a powerful stream of water, striking the enraged fella right in the back. Ness cheered confidently as the baby blue quadruped was smashed against the rough edge of the hill from the aquatic attack, falling to the ground hard. "Alright, Wingull, use Supersonic again!". Another shriek was released from the seagull, incapacitating the already beaten up Nidoran, confusing the poor fool even more. The wild Pokemon's obliviously blind rage dissolved into mortal terror, attempting to flee but was met with a rocky wall to the head, courtesy of the confusion. Ness observed the newfound horror in her eyes, feeling a small change in heart himself. "Come back, Prosper!" he shouted, retreating the wingull back into his Pokeball. "Awesome work today," he said to the ball, "You've earned a good rest, buddy.".

Pocketing the ball, he then adjusted his attention towards the still confused Nidoran and rummaged for something in his bag. The creature grew fearful as he neared closer and closer, whining softly with every step he took. Ness pulled out one of the potions the professor had given him earlier and knelt down to the cowering critter. "It's ok, little one," he said in a comforting manner, "We aren't gonna hurt you anymore. Do you mind if I help you?". The Pokemon poked her head out from beneath her arms and gazed at the trainer with worry. "Poor baby must be scared to death. Guess all those scars are from trying to escape threats, huh?". The Nidoran nodded faintly, still a bit skeptical of this mysterious man. "Hmm, you and me both, sister." he joked, referencing the scar across his right eye from...nevermind. He held out one hand while holding the potion in the other. "Don't worry, little lady. This stuff will help relieve the pain a bit.". The creature hesitated a bit before shuffling over to the trainer, resting her head on his foot. His smile returned, and began spraying her with the aid. Her wounds were withered away and replaced with new, healthy skin, her scars from who knows how many days of loneliness dissolved. She looked as if she were just hatched, minus being a bit larger, that is.

The Nidoran stood up and examined her being for any remnants of injury, stunned not to see a thing. She turned her head back to Ness and let out a happy bark of some sorts. "You're welcome, little buddy. I should get going, but it was nice meeting you!". Ness looked behind him to make sure he had collected everything, then stood up and began walking just as he had prior to the battle. Unknown to him, the Pokemon followed in pursuit.

Ness had been in the highlands for a while now, believing he might have taken a wrong turn at some point. The Pokedex's map wasn't helping what-so-ever, especially when not loaded fully. As he began to panic, Cordellia heard a squeak that seemed all the more familiar to him. He turned around to find the Nidoran up on a rock, cheerfully talking to him. "Heh, nice to see you again!" he chuckled. "Guess we're both lost now, huh?". The little Poison Pin Pokemon shook it's head in disagreement, knocking a little rock towards a small pathway about 20 feet from where Ness was. "Oh?" he said, wandering over to the narrow ravine, "So this must be going...west?". The creature nodded happily. "Thank Arceus! Got worried there for a sec." Ness replied, thanking the little blue munchkin for her help. He then reached into his pocket and grabbed a red and white Pokeball, throwing it up into the air in order to release and materialize the bird formally known as Prosper. "Hey Pros, can you lead us through the skies that way? I wanna make sure we're going the right way to Jemoia, you know?". The wingull nodded and took flight westward. As Ness placed the ball back into his pocket, another one had fallen out and rolled a few feet in front of the wild Pokemon. Nidoran hopped down from the rock and examined it closely, looking at the strange array of colors and a big button in the center. "Cool, ain't it?" Ness laughed while looking at the girl toying with it. "Those allow trainers and their Pokemon to always be with each other, even when the Pokemon faints! Heard they're pretty comfy inside.". The Nidoran spoke happily before pressing the big button on the spherical capsule, opening it and sucking in the critter in the form of a distinct red light.

Ness stood there in awe as the ball closed and wobbled for a bit. "Does she really want to join us?" he thought excitedly. As the ball clasped shut, he laughed pridefully and picked it up. "Alright, Nidoran, come on out!" he said, throwing the ball in the air and releasing a cheerful face. "We need a nickname for you" Ness pointed out, beginning to think of toxic substances with good names. "I think I'll call you...Jasmine.". The Nidoran approved the name and hopped up onto Cordellia's shoulder. "Jasmine it is! Let's go catch up with Prosper, shall we?". Ness propped himself up and began running after his Wingull towards his destination.

Lucas Monteiro
Route 1 - Altorre to Selverde

It was by sheer accident that Jain got her first battle of the route. As Lucas and Jain walked near the edges of the taller grass, a Buneary leaped, bumping into the Vulpix. As both recovered from this endeavour, the blond saw it as a perfect opportunity to give Jain a battle. "Let's get back at that thing with an Ember!" Jain sprung to the side, blasting a fireball at the rabbit. The rabbit tried to instead do a dramatic Pound, only to be hit face first by the fireball.

The Buneary got up, although it was clear that the fire strike did its' number on the Pokémon, as she staggered a bit. Still, she curled up her ears, preparing for a proper Pound... which was once again struck out by a fireball. Lucas figured out that the Pokémon clearly needed a little bit of experience and training under a proper trainer. "Eh, I'm sure you'll be useful at some point." Lucas shrugged, throwing a Pokéball at the dazed Buneary. A couple of twitches later and its' center flashed red. He chose to walk on the grassier path as he continued his way to Selverde, coming to the realization that he more or less wasted a Pokéball at a Pokémon that wasn't quite the most useful for his plans, but still would find a way to shoehorn her in... that and he'd need to think of a nickname.

Selverde Rainforest
What's that sound?

They had barely entered the rainforest when they were suddenly startled by the sounds of leaves rustling. The noise quickly drew closer until it was right upon them. Out of the trees, a swarm of Combee quickly flew over the road and into the coverage on the other side. They were clearly in distress, but what were they fleeing from? Then came a low, distant rumble, followed by the far away sounds of a roaring pokémon.

Glen quickly let out his Larvitar Gojira, initially he considered trying to catch a Combee but decided against it. The only useful ones were female, rare and Glen couldnt tell the difference, but that thought was quickly replaced by worry and confusion as he saw the swarm of Combee ignore the trainers and flee the unknown threat. “Uh guys I think we have company” Glen says as he and Gojira take cover behind a fallen tree.”You think so, I definitely agree. What is causing these Combees to be escaping in fright” Christopher yelled while he dragged Flame to cover. With luck Flame won’t fall asleep. “Are you sure this is wise? Think about it, that was a whole swarm of them. They were running to get away from something. Not to mention those rumbles doesn't make me think it's the greatest idea,” Serana argued as she let Munch out of his pokeball.

As the trainers listened, they were able to make out some of the noises resonating from within the rainforest. It sounded like a battle! They were even able to barely hear the sounds of a woman calling out to her pokemon; maybe she needed help!

“Glen, come on, I’m pretty sure someone needs our help.” This was a serious situation so inside of ogling the poor women he would be there to help. “Flame come on, this is serious so don’t actually fall asleep I’m not joking with you this time,” Christopher said to Flame. He was sure that Flame was a munchlax or snorlax in a previous life.

“Ready Gojira?” Glen asked only to be met with a look of determination on the face of his companion. “Lets go Christopher!” Glen yelled as he bounded headlong toward the sound and potential danger before them trying to find the path of least resistance through the jungle motioning for the others to follow.

“Guys wait up!” Serana shouted as Munch nodded to her and she took off after the other two. [i]You have got to be kidding me, what is going on in there? This is no ordinary battle, from the sounds of it, it must he intense. I had best be ready for anything if that is the case.[i] she looked behind her to see where Munch was and he was somewhat falling behind. But, what could anyone do he was a Munchlax after all not really the fastest Pokemon.

“Hey guys wait for us!”, said Jackson, holstering the now full pokeball which he’d used to catch his Budew only moments before so as to run faster, Pichu jumping on his shoulder, grabbing on tight.

The four ran closer and closer to the sound until the burst into a small clearing. The first thing they laid their eyes on was a colossal pokemon, a titan with massive, leaf-like wings sprouting from its back: a Tropius!

Then a second pokemon came into view; it was smaller, and flew around the Tropius. It’s wings opened up, and talons picked one of the feathers to launch it like an arrow - it was a Decidueye!

“We can’t let gym get any closer to the city, Dewey!” A voice called out to the owl-like pokemon. That was the voice of the person they heard before. She looked about the same age as the others, wearing a dark green skirt and black shorts, and by the look of things, didn’t seem to be in any eminent danger. She turned when she heard the four trainers enter the clearing, and it only made her look more distressed.

“Uh... Maybe you can help!” The girl called out to the four. She then pointed to the Tropius. "This big guy has been on a rampage, and I’m trying to keep him away from Selverde City. You think you can help push him back?”
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!
Have at you!

Jackson, Selverde Rainforest, before the collab

Image

Suddenly, a Budew jumped out of the bushes, "Ooh, what's that?", he asks, pulling his Pokedex, ''Budew, the Bud Pokemon, When it feels the sun's warm touch, it opens its bud to release pollen. It lives alongside clear pools.", it said

"Awesome! Peachy, I choose you!", he yelled. The Budew used Absorb, which Peachy jumped away from. "Peachy, use Thundershock!", he yelled, charging up electricity, shooting it out to Budew. The Budew was hit directly, the pokemon was already slightly hurt, so it was weakened. He threw a pokeball at it

Brian Warner

Well that was discouraging. Completely ignored! Even though he barely knew them, he had to admit, that stung. He couldn't have been that annoying and weird, certainly not as much as that supposed "super pervert" guy, especially if he did enough to actually warrant that nickname. Soon, everybody had rushed out in squalls of chatter, happiness, and excitement, leaving Brian alone in the lab, only Muncher at his side.

Now, he was truly alone. Well, except for the gluttonous idiot beside him.

With a sad little sigh, he shouldered his pack, stuffed his Pokedex inside, and straightened up. "C'mon Muncher, let's hit the road!" he said, trying to remain cheerful. Muncher responded with an enthusiastic "MUNCH!" and giving him a big hug around the legs, eliciting a small laugh out of Brian. "Alright, little guy, didn't know you were so sentimental. I guess you just loooove me that much, don't you!" he playfully teased, a frustrated grunt coming out of Muncher as the two partners-in-crime made their way outside.

"CHECK. IT. OUUUUUUUUT."

The two had just stepped foot into the Selverde Rainforest, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The trees were huge, bark wrinkled and gnarly, with a thick, leafy canopy draped over the top. Moss, ferns, and all sorts of exotic tropical plants grew all along the path, which was just as twisted and gnarled as the trees were, covered in roots and disappearing in some places. Tall, wavy grass poked up in between the plants, chirps and grunts echoing out of them and into the rest of the woods, and the whole picturesque scene was dappled in thin, white beams of sunlight.

Both Brian and Muncher looked stunned for a good little while. Brian had traveled a lot, but it had always been to cities and towns, big urban centers, places where the only time you would see something like this would be in a movie or a book. But no, this was...amazing. All of his previous sadness over being left alone was gone, replaced with pure wonder and amazement. His will to explore seemed to burn inside him with a new fire, he was soooo ready.

And as if on cue, the grass began to shift, some arrested cries breaking out from underneath it. Soon, the waving turned into visible shaking, small shadows scurrying in the underbush. And Brian knew what that meant...

Theodore Mosley, Selverde Rainforest
After working up the courage to enter into the rainforest, mostly because Mr. Hugs went on ahead without hesitation. He was in the densely packed rainforest foliage, off of the traditional route, chasing after his Duskull who was just out of reach. Suddenly, without warning a Joltik jumped out in front of him and his Pokémon, and let out a piercing shriek angrily at them, causing Theodore to step back and cover his ears. Mr. Hugs waited no time however and moved in just as angrily towards the Joltik, causing it to let out some weak sparks of electricity as a warning. Recovering from the initial surprise, Theodore pulled up the list of moves his Duskull knew on his Pokedex. "Alright, umm how about using Night Shade Mr. Hugs." After saying that the area seemed to darken and his Pokémon started to emit dark waves of energy start to emit from the Pokémon before a beam of energy shoots out from its eye. The attack hit the opposing Pokémon and the Joltik seemed both dazed and weakened, it obviously wasn't a high level Pokémon. Once again, it let off a powerful shriek, but the element of surprise was lost and Theodore, feeling more confident and unfazed this time around, threw a Pokeball at it, where it encapsulated the Joltik.

It shook, once... twice... ... three times and then made a clicking sound to know that it was captured.

Theodore picked up the Pokeball before a loud and angry noise startled him. From the undergrowth sprang a Galvantula, then another, then some more with Joltiks. Realizing that he intruded into the Pokémon's nest, Theodore slowly backed off, but Mr. Hugs, still itching for a fight, approached the lead Galvantula where he was promptly attacked with its Gastro Acid move, spewing its stomach acids on to the poor Duskull. The hoard of spidery Pokémon then began to charge the Duskull and its trainer, leading both to turn around and start fleeing as quickly as they could.

Maxx Takibi
Route 1

A small red bipedal-like bug Pokémon with a white-ish collar came jumping out of the grass. It seemed upset, probably because Maxx entered his territory or something like that. Torchic prepared himself, his paws digging deep into the sand and his body low to the ground as Maxx checked Kricketot's Pokédex entry.

"Kricketot, the Cricket Pokémon. It chats with others using the sounds of its colliding antennae. These sounds are fall hallmarks."

Kricketot was preparing for a ranged attack. Unfortuantely for him, Torchic was faster.

"Torchic, use Sand Attack!"

Torchic grabbed a paw-full of sand, turning 180 degrees before kicking sand into Kricketot's face. The bug Pokémon was thrown off by the sudden distraction.

"Now use Ember!"

Torchic front-flipped into the air before shooting small flames from his beak.

"Tooooor...CHIIIIIIC!"

The flames hit the Kricketot. However, it seemed to resist the attack. Maxx saw that Kricketot was glowing green and realized that it was about to attack.

"Torchic! Jump to the side!"

Torchic jumped away just in time as the cricket Pokémon used Struggle Bug, only missing the fire type by just a second.

"Nice one! Now hit it with another Ember!"

Torchic shot small flames out of his beak again before landing. The Ember hit Kricketot which caused it to fall and be knocked unconsious. Maxx and Torchic were victorious.

"Torchic! Torchiiiic!!" Torchic cheered cutely, celebrating his victory. "Hey now." Maxx said, smiling from Torchic's excitement. "Don't act like you've won a tournament or something. Your opponent wasn't really strong." Maxx kneeled down to pet the little Chick Pokémon, who chirped happily in reply while closing his eyes and rubbing his head against Maxx's hand. When the boy looked up he was that Kricketot was gone, it most likely fled.

"Hey buddy." Maxx said, returning his attention to Torchic. "Would you like to stay out of your Pokéball for the rest of the road? You seem pretty energetic." Torchic looked at him before Excitingly nodding. "Chic!" Maxx smiled as he slightly reached out his hand, like he tried to feed Torchic. The small Pokémon hopped onto his hand and walked flawlessly over his arm before jumping in Maxx's hood. Maxx got up and continued walking, with Torchic in his neck.

Selverde Rainforest
A Battle in the Jungle!

Serana was stunned at the size of the Pokemon let alone the fact these people were having issues with it. “Uh I think so, I assume it's wild by how it's behaving?” She asked the two trying to gather as much information as possible as Munch ran further into the clearing and was waiting for orders. She wasn't sure what to do but, she figured she might as well try to help the situation.

The girl nodded. “Yep, it’s wild. But they’re never seen this close to the city. They’re rare, too, so I don’t want to cause him too much harm”

Glen sent out his other two Pokémon, figuring that they were teaming up on the tropius anyhow so no use fighting fair. “Mothra use String shot!” Of course the wurmple could only do so much, but every bit slowing this behemoth down would be helpful. “Meeco use Quick Attack keep it off balance” the Sentret began to dodge between the legs of the beast not really doing damage but distracting it, “now Gojira use Leer bring down its attack as much as possible” Gojira complied as its eyes grew a deep red and drained the Tropius of some of its attack power.

Mothra’s string shot wrapped around the Tropius’ leg, anchoring the foot to the forest floor. Enraged, the Tropus swung its neck towards the Wurmple. The attack was intercepted by Decidueye, who met the swing with a Sucker Punch, slightly knocking the massive grass type back.

“We’re trying to push the pokemon away, not keep it stuck here!” The girl called out to Glen. Meanwhile, the Tropius flapped his wings, creating blades of air that flew towards everyone’s pokemon.

“Get out of there!” Meeco was blown back and knocked against a tree barely conscious, Glen quickly returned it to its pokeball, Gojira and Morthra managed to dodge the worst of it. “Only ranged attack I have is string shot.” Glen turned to Gojira “keep it up Gojira keep bringing the attack down! Mothra you’re doing great, take cover for now!”

Munch ducked under the blades just in time as several trees fell to the ground. Serana looked behind her as the tree fell next to her causing her to jump out of fear. She looked to her right side at the tree that is now on the ground and sighed. Man that was extremely fucking close! This thing is definitely dangerous, best to play this safe. We need to find away to push this thing back, only way I can think of is a fire type Pokemon.[i] “Munch use tackle and try to push it back!” She ordered as Munch nodded and charged forward intending to use tackle.

Jackson grabbed a pokeball from his pokeball belt, letting out Budew, “Come on out, Rosey!”, he yelled as the Budew materialized from the pokeball. “Peachy, use Thunder Shock!”, he said, “Rosey, use absorb!” he said, hoping to make it faint, so as to pull it away from the city.

After checking the Pokédex entry on their opponent Glen yelled “fire, rock, ice, flying and poison! That’s what it’s weak to”. Glen looked at his hiding Wurmple “Mothra has poison! Give it cover!”

Gojira moves in using Bite on the monsters leg causing it to roar in sudden sharp pain. Gojira latched on tight as it tried to shake him off, meanwhile Mothra moved in and landed a super effective poison sting onto another leg.

“Don’t fear I Christopher of Nataluz, the epitome of manliness. Men fear me and women love me. When your me you need to flash a bit of your sexiness and women will fall at your feet. So Serena dear are you finally glad to see me. Flame come on out you too Christopher Jr.” [i]Hah I came at the perfect timing and good thing I prepped Flame to not fall asleep and me and Christopher Jr. have already got the perverted senses out of our body. “Flame use Ember and Christopher Jr. use Gust. You both have a type advantage and I want you to use it.” Flame opened his mouth and let out some weak flames that should still do damage to the Tropius. Christopher Jr. created a powerful wind from his wings that in theory should inpower the flame. As the Flame hit the monster of a pokemon, it caused it to roar because of the pain that the Flame was doing.

Serana turned around as she heard Chris’s voice, [i]oh god not this again! Why does he always give the same speech and Chrisopher Jr. really? He named a pokemon after himself? Well I guess it matches his ego. WAIT did he just say Serana dear?!
“Will you stop that! I AM NOT YOUR DEAR OR YOUR SWEETHEART!” She yelled as she jumped up and came down and attempted to punch the kid in the head. Meanwhile, Munch was taking advantage of the other pokemon and started to tackle the Tropius.

The girl was… less than impressed by the trainers that were helping her. ’If I don’t get this Tropius out of here soon, they’re gonna knock him out’ She thought to herself. She then called out to her pokémon, “Use Ominous Wind!”

Decidueye gave a shrill cry and positioned himself in front of the wild Tropius. The pokemon flapped his wings, releasing a stream of dark wind towards the Tropius. Following all of the damage he had suffered, the wild pokémon gave one last roar before turning around and retreating back into the rainforest.
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!
Have at you!
