1081st "Schwarzer Vorhang" SS Okkulte Battalion

A secret SS unit composed of primarily "Okkulte", superpower powered youths between the of ages 10 to 23, whose sole purpose is to destroy the enemies of the Reich through any means possible. While some of them were found with natural powers and recruited, most of them were experimented on until desirable results manifested or died from the continuous experimentation. Due to the time consuming nature of finding or creating "Okkulte", they were placed into the unit regardless of their mental status, leading to some of the most deranged soldiers the Second World War has seen to ever participate in combat. And with the war nearing its end, the unit is being consistently thrown into the background of some of the greatest battles of World War II.
Fully autonomous, they are not attached to one unit of the SS, instead often jumping unit battle after battle. Having been active since the start of 1939, have been deployed since then. Participating in the Battle of France, supporting Italian units in North Africa, Operation Barbarossa, Continuation War, Battle of Kursk, Siege of Leningrad, and currently defending against the Belgrade Offensive.
And while the “Okkulte” have proven themselves useful, once they have reached their 24th year of age, will become unpredictable timebombs. While the majority simply die due rapidly deteriorating health and body functions upon turning the age, taking only a matter of days at its longest or a matter of hours at the shortest. Others meanwhile, transform into uncontrollable monstrosities that need to be put down, as they now present a danger to the Reich. These results were found out when test subjects older than 23 died or turned into mindless beasts. However, efforts to find a way to prolong lives of the "Okkulte" are ongoing. Those younger than 10 years of age were discovered to be too fragile to survive the procedures and ended with a 98% mortality rate, with those surviving unresponsive to all forms of communication, needing to be terminated. Natural "Okkulte" does not seem to suffer from these issues, but are more likely to turn against the Reich, forcing the organization to assign three highly dedicated personnel to exterminate the rogues should the time come.
They're lives shorts, one can only wonder what will happen to them after the war, should they survive it. After all, the collapse of Germany and the unit is only a few months away, how will they handle it?
You are a member of this battalion, either as an "Okkulte" or a regular SS soldier. With the setting of the story starting in the latter half of 1944, players will have to fight in both the Eastern Front and Western Front, with the Western Front being where the two-thirds of the plot will occur. However, that will be later in the story. In control of these characters, you will be deciding on how they will act when faced with often overwhelming odds or difficult situations. While not all may survive the story, it's only up to you to raise your character's chance of survival. Will you do a good job or will you fail?

Rules:
- My word is law and therefore must be obeyed once I have finalized it. The same goes for any Co-OP I might have, unless I say so otherwise. I am for the most part a very lenient OP, but should you break the rules I have established or did not discuss them with me, I will boot you out of the RP, no questions.
- No controlling other characters but your own, no using of OOC information to give benefits to any character, and your character can get hurt and die. There will be no absolutely invincible characters, they for the most part make for poor characters and are often nothing more than a monkey in the wrench for the plots that develop in the IC. And should your character do something idiotic, I will roll an online twenty-sided die to determine the fate of your character. A great example is taking on a tank which has infantry support by yourself, without the abilities or skill to survive it.
- Despite the fantastical nature of the setting, there will be a semblance of realism here. That means, unless your character has the ability to create a hammerspace, cannot carry an inordinate amount of munition and weapons. If you will be playing a regular soldier, they will have to be male, only exception will be for those who are part of the scientists who came along. "Okkulte" can be either male or female.
- I find it acceptable for your character to act like an asshole, but that doesn’t mean you can be. In other words, no being an asshole in the OOC. Calm and controlled discussion is fine on the, but an argument that devolves into petty shit (name calling, personal attacks, etc.) is not. If you have one, TG or use another form of messaging.
- One/Two-Liners are unacceptable, as such, all post must be at least compose of three sentences. Preferably though, a post should be five sentences at least, but I’ll let three to four liners slide. Usually though, if they’re that short, you can always add more details in general.
- Any rules that come after this holds the same weight as the previous rules. Follow them like all of them and all should be fine.
- I will only accept players and applications who have entirely read the rule section. And to prove it answer this question: Who was the leader of the Soviet Union during World War Two? Put the answer after a hashtag symbol and the work "Fuck".
