Paraguay chose to Submit. However Uruguay was determined to defend their independence.
In the resulting war, Brazil launched a campaign to the department of Rocha, to cut Uruguay from it's sea access.
This worked as planed and with the siege of Montevideo in may, Uruguay Surrendered.
In the treaty of São Paulo Uruguay was to become an official state of Brazil once again.
With nazi support in the late 40s, Vargas is able to keep himself in power,
While at first reluctant to join the Axis Powers, because of their many enemies, Vargas tries to improve german-brazilian ties by organizing a state-visit in 1949.
Finally Brazil joins the Axis Powers in the October of 1949.

The quality of Bulgarian soldiers is such that many a German general whenever the two nations participated in joint military exercises that the average Bulgarian soldier could probably take out an entire Soviet platoon(It is to be noted that many had forgotten the horrors of the eastern front and had begun to think of the Soviets as weak). This high level of quality has lead to Bulgaria earning the title 'Prussia of the Balkans'.

Mexico didn't have much of an involvement in WW2, although it is now bound to the allies. To the South, the Central Americans are becoming more and more unstable. Mexico is split on if a commitment to the Allies is worth it or not. On one hand, the New World is protected, but how long will that last? When will the Fascists finally arrive on our Border? This is why some of the population want Mexico First! So we won't have to die in a war that "will not happen." Besides, are we truly independent, or are we so dependent on the Americans that we are a unofficial puppet?
