I vote for it. It would expedite the story, cut down on mundane stuff, and get to the action quicker. If somebody had something big planned for before we all group up, I would hate to ruin it, though.

Not too far. My character has just woken up on the floor of a bar, and then gotten into a brawl with a group of street thugs.
