The APP
Name: Commissar Xavier Shakhar
Age: 43
Gender: Male
Allegiance paid to: The Coalition
Rank: Commissar of the Bureau for Technological Procurement and Development
Appearance: Xavier stands slightly taller than the average human male of Core provenance, his demeanor that of an average man his age. Many who know the Commissar would, if asked, comment on his distinctly uninteresting physical attributes- a nose which filled his face symmetrically but not notably, eyes of a bland gray which do not reflect any particular light or color, deep black hair remarkable only for its lack of any cut distinctive, a military style appointed for functionality rather than fashion. That said, the very lack of distinguishing features has a curious effect on most persons the Commissar meets- lacking any obvious flaws or quirks, Commissar Shakhar comes across as more of an impression than a memory, a breath of physical perfection that does not leave a great impact on the mind. Muscled as a soldier should be, but not hulking, the Commissar is a consummate professional in the deep slate-gray fatigues of his Service, delineated only by the obsidian stars on his shoulders and the coal-black trim of his uniform.
Personality: Reserved, even quiet, the Commissar does not speak often, but speaks with quiet steel when he does deign to explain his thoughts to subordinates or equals. Xavier has risen to control of the Bureau not for sheer technical brilliance, not for political connections and nepotism (though both he does possess in abundance), but for his unrivaled command of the minutiae of an organization that spans much of a galaxy. Possessing a memory and command of information recall that rivals that of even the most powerful logicomputers, the patterns of invisible economics and manufacturing apparent to the Commissar where even planetary governors and geniuses struggle have underpinned his control of one of the four pillars of the Coalition. A pragmatist and utilitarian, and a great hater of both the Sith and the Jedi as foolish mystics that cloud the clarity of science with superstition and their sad religions, Xavier is personally responsible for both many of the terrors and many of the glories that touch the lives of the citizens of the galaxy in the present day.
Force Sensitive: Y
Skills/Powers: Genius level intellect. A consummate military man, capable both in personal combat and in command both on land and in naval combat. Creative insight beyond that of all save the most brilliant researchers, trained in both political maneuver and the niceties of managing on scales most folk would boggle at by his upbringing.
Weaponry: The Commissar bears matched slugthrower Cycler pistols, elegantly inlaid with the symbols of his position as lord of the Ten Families, though these are far more ornamental than any rational defensive weaponry.
Ship: Xavier travels aboard the Order, a heavily modified Imperious-class Star Destroyer, usually with an extensive escort.
Biography: Would prefer to reveal as fluff ICly, but I'm happy to TG you an outline if you would like one.
RP Example: I've RPed with you before, if memory serves!

Permit me to observe that there was no First Order to make the Resurgent-class and that the Pellaeon is a bit better in my opinion. Also, I doubt thd Inperial Knights exist due to their use of the Force.

I mean this is pretty later in the covered future, perhaps it could also have been developed? Or my character could have created it (who wouldn't like a battlecruiser with kyber-crystal enhanced systems)

Also, i'm not saying that the Palleon is inferior, in fact it's probably the height of what Star Destroyers could be: heavily armed enough to take on most ships its size yet being much more manoeuvrable and nimble than most dreadnoughts, though what confuses me is that according to the wiki page it has no point defence systems, unless the main batteries also have point defence capabilities

But I feel much safer and familiar with a Resurgent Battlecruiser if allowed to use it, plus you have to admit, the Resurgent is a lot more armed then the Palleon

I would prefer to ignore the Disney timeline as much ad possible and to have characters use vessels that either appear in this moment of history or were carryovers from an earlier era . The Pellaeon Class is arguably the most powerful iteration of Star destroyer design. Even the with Ormata's upgrades, the Executor Class is 200 years old, you can only fix so much, it will have many of the flaws inherent in the older ships of its class. If I were to make a Coalition character, the Pellaeon would be my choice.

The Imperial Knights were disbanded when the Fel Empire dissolved. If any survived they would have to live in exile not unlike the Jedi and Sith.
Rhinocera wrote:But yeah, the Ascension is an executor, modernized, but not modified to the level of Ormata’s. Just modernized as to not be fielding 200 year old systems.

Would you be able to detail the Ascension in your app? That would allow me to examine it and see if it is passable.

If possible could your character be the Governor of a lore based planet? It would make writing the posts related to your character and its system much easier for yourself and other players

It’s a typical Executor class star destroyer with a few modifications. Weapon systems were replace by current era platforms, the shielding systems and engines were also replaced, though the general layout has remained the same. An additional increase in armament has been alotted through the replacement of a of dual and single gun batteries with quad batteries and dual batteries, though octuple batteries were added in replacement of quad and dual batteries where possible. If you want a legit statblock for the ship, that’ll take a while for me to throw together.

I'm not very sure whether to app as an admiral or the Commissar for Foreign Intelligence

On one hand, I want to be a member of the military what with commanding a navy and such, but on the other hand intelligence and espionage has always been an interesting point for me, unless the Commissar for Foreign Intelligence could also have a high ranking position in the navy

The Commissariates are essentially bureaucratic elements of the civilian Coalition Government. They are the only non-military aspect in the Coalition that really has power, often in conflict with the Military.

It would essentially be as though the US Army, Navy and Airforce struggled for power against the CIA or NSA.

So you might have a rank such as Admiral or General, but it is unlikely that title would come with a fleet, aside from maybe a few service ships.

Name: Aryca Sunrider ("Atrix")
Age: 26
Gender: Female

Rank: N/A
Appearance: Chalk-White Skin, Silver Eyes, Chalk-Pale Skin
Wears Powered armor with cloak

Personality: Strong-willed and a desire to gain more power.
Force Sensitive: Yes
Skills/Powers: Force Abilities: Telekinesis, Force Healing, Force Lightning, Practitioner of Sith Sorcery, Uses Saber Forms I, V and VI.
Non-Force Abilities: Excellent Pilot, Capable Mechanic
Weaponry: Silver Lightsaber, Power Armor, Cloak
Ship (If you have one): Modified Helix-Class Light Freighter

Biography:
Aryca was born on the planet Eshan and identified as a potential jedi due to her own force sensitivity. She was being trained by a wandering Jedi which happened to be passing through the Six Sisters Confederation. She showed promise in telekinetic combat as well as healing abilities. During her training she would be taken to various worlds to learn about the Galaxy outside of the Inner Rim worlds which the Echani and their offshoot races occupied. She visited ancient worlds of Tython and Korriban. Important worlds such as Coruscant and Kuat. She was shown what happens to worlds that are destroyed such as Alderaan.

During one mission, about ten years ago, Aryca and her jedi master are on the planet Onderon. They were to act as mediators for a pair of nobles regarding a sector of land which they both hold claim over. While here Aryca noticed a faint shadow in the force briefly before one of the parties joined them. One of the parties was joined by a dark cloaked figure. During discussions he seemingly whispered into the ear of his host before they spoke. Before long, the demands of the cloaked figure's host caused a breakdown in negotiation. The figure removed his hood and revealed the face of a dark side sorcerer. About to leap into battle, Aryca was held back by her master who reminded her that they were there to promote peace.

Laughing at them, the dark sider taunts them and notifies them that his host will occupy the land in question and start a feud. As they were leaving the feud began, a fight in the hangar and the dark sider was at the center of it. Dark tendrils were holding back a group of soldiers while his benefactor's men were boarding the transports which brought the jedi to the planet. Aryca and her master was forced to defend themselves. A lightsaber duel erupted as the Dark Side Sorcerer pulled a crimson blade and engaged them.

The duel was intense and eventually the Jedi gained the upperhand, however, the sorcerer tossed Aryca across the hangar distracting the master long enough to wound him. Aryca was able to get herself back to her feet as the Dark Sider attacked her and began driving her back. Taunting her and urging her to tap into the dark side during their fight Aryca was struggling to hold him back. Just as she was about to give in, she saw her master appear behind the sorcerer. She smiled and made an attack to distract the sorcerer, however, he dodged and her blade instead found her own master's chest.

She was devastated. As she looked around for help she did not find it. The Dark side sorcerer had vanished. The battle had ended around them and she was alone in an empty hangar. Their ship had been stolen and she was alone on a strange planet. It took a couple of years, but she eventually had an opportunity to leave Onderon with a freighter crew. She spends the next year working for the freighter captain earning enough wages to buy her own ship after selling her master's lightsaber. She purchased a ship built on the frame of a Helix-class light freighter. It had been reconfigured as a heavy starfighter.

By 196 ABY, she and the freighter captain she had been working for had a falling out. Aryca went her own way selling one last cargo load before moving into the Unknown regions, eventually coming across the lair of the Sorcerer she met and fought previously on Onderon. Intent on killing him she infiltrated his lair only to find him waiting for her with refreshments prepared by his droids. After an hour long discussion they began working together. For the next few years she learned Sith Sorcery techniques from him and how to tap into the dark side without falling to it entirely. It was however, late in 199 ABY that Aryca awoke to find her new mentor and friend had left with all of his droids. A recorded message played for her when she went into the study explaining that he had left to investigate a disturbance in the outer rim and for her to not follow.

Aryca was angry, and in a fit of rage lashed out destroying the recording and much of the study before leaving in her own vessel heading back towards the galaxy.

Name: Cado Baas
Age: 54
Gender: Male
Allegiance paid to: Jedi Exiles
Rank: Knight
Appearance: Cado. Alternatively, Cado!
Personality: Sarcastic, headstrong, bold. Humorous, generous, sympathetic.
Force Sensitive: Yes
Skills/Powers: Form VII - Force Speed - Dopplegänger - Telekinesis - Art of the Small - Force Stealth - Force Cloak - Tutaminis

Skilled Pilot
Skilled Mechanic
Capable Tactician

Weaponry: Cado's weapon of choice is a minature saberstaff, suited for his stature, which can be seperated into shotos.
Ship: I4-Ionizer Starfighter
Biography: The Lannik known as Cado Baas spent his early life in the underlevels of Galactic City on Coruscant. Cado worked for a Verpine called Ulyx who operated as a fence. The pair also performed repairs and modifications on (usually ill-gotten) pieces of high-end technology, specifically starship parts. He was slow to learn the trade, but once he picked it up the young Lannik showed a knack for the mechanical.

Cado was 12 when he was discovered by Jedi Master Arten Ro'Druum, who sensed that the youth had more to offer than being a mere tinkerer. Ulyx declined to give him over to the Jedi, turning down every offer that Arten put forward. For the next two years, Arten would return and attempt to buy the boy from his caretaker. Ulyx eventually agreed in exchange for a pair of hyperdrives and a hefty sum of credits, allowing Cado to finally leave Coruscant to apprentice under the Jedi Master.

Cado would prove to be a capable though headstrong, sometimes aggressive Padawan. By the age of twenty, he had excelled in all his trials, save for one: the Trial of Spirit. He emerged from his trance frantic and disturbed, leaving the youth nearly traumatized by whatever visions he had seen. This troubled Arten greatly, and it would be a long seven years until Cado would be able to prove he was able to reconcile his fiery nature with the teachings of the Jedi.

After receiving his knighthood around the time that Coalition forces were discovered to be mobilizing, Cado was eager to get involved in the ensuing war. He distinguished himself in the first assault following the break down of peace, acting bravely alongside other Jedi and Alliance forces to stay within the fray until those soldiers who were not already lost were able to withdraw. Naturally, he was later appointed as General Arten's second-in-command, earning the rank of Commander.

Cado fought over Fedalle as a starfighter pilot, and later at on the ground at Bellassa alongside General Arten. Both occasions yielded limited results for either side of the conflict.

During the attack on Commenor by the Coalition, his fighter was shot down, but he proved his capability as a pilot by crash-landing safely. Soon after he rallied with Alliance forces, and took command of an embattled platoon. His leadership played no small part to aid in the successful defense. Any doubts about Cado's commitment to the Order are dispelled, though Jedi Master Arten several times warned him against his relish of battle.

During one of the few instances that Cado and his Master Arten were seperated during the war, Arten was killed at Eriadu when he and others were overwhelmed by Coalition forces. Cado swore retribution, intending to travel to Eriadu and take on the enemy himself, and would have had he not been directly commanded by the Grand Master, under threat of expulsion from the Order, against this course of action. As tensions between the rest of the galaxy and the Jedi rose, Cado is forced to go into hiding when the Order is disbanded.

The APP
Name: Kres'ovri'nuruodo ("Sovrin")
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Allegiance paid to: Chiss Ascendency, Coalition
Rank: Chiss Ascendency Attache to the Coalition, Admiral of the Coalition
Appearance: Blue Skin, Glowing Red Eyes, and Black Hair
Personality: For the most part, Sovrin tended to present himself similar to his idol, Thrawn; as he is often seen with a calm yet determined demeanor, but also was ruthless and vies for greater power.
Force Sensitive: Yes, Sovrin discovered his unique powers during his early studies in the CEDF, but after being seen using the force by his parents, he was forced refrain from using the force at the risk of ruining his family's prestige ever since.
Skills/Powers: Through years of fighting off various threats (Pirates, Killik Remnants, Rogue Sith, etc.) to Chiss Space; Sovrin was able to develop a strong grasp on military tactics, this also supplemented of by study into his idol's tactics, Grand Admiral Thrawn. So much so, some in the CEDF see Sovrin as the direct successor to Thrawn. Having been a part of the Chiss commandos, Sovrin was both a skilled marksman and melee fighter, but Sovrin further sought to improve his fighting skill, which led to him even attempting to master the many lightsaber forms, which he excelled at Forms II, V, and VII. Though having been repressed for the most of his life, Sovrin was able to use the force to push, pull, and levitate objects, and with his newfound "freedom" from mainstream Chiss society, he has devoted himself to further develop his powers in deep secrecy.
Weaponry: Sovrin is mostly seen with a Chiss Charric pistol, a Cortosis-weave vibroblade, and also Ysalamir on a back harness, similar to the one worn by Thrawn. But when in high-risk conflict zones, Sovrin chose to arm himself with a Charric carbine and his fractal-pattern armor, the same armor used by Chiss commandos.
Ship: Having reached the rank of Admiral prior to becoming the attache to the Coalition, Sovrin travels aboard a Chiss Star Destroyer called Thrawn's Revenge, in homage to his idol. The ship is escorted by 3 other Chiss Star Destroyers, with their compliment of Clawcraft.
Biography: Sovrin was born in 164 ABY, on the planet of Naporar. He as Kres'ovri'rnith was born to a military family, as both of his parents were officers of the CEDF. In the early years of his life, Sovrin had spent most of his time reading of his idol, a famed Chiss admiral, commonly known as Thrawn. In hopes of emulating his idol, once reaching the age of 10, Sovrin enrolled into the CEDF, in hopes to be able to reach the same heights to what Thrawn had achieved. With his sheer determination, Sovrin excelled over all of his peers, yet he later discovered that he was force sensitive, which in fact aided in his capabilities compared to the other cadets, but was later discovered by his parents, in which Sovrin reluctantly accepted their demands that he refrain the use of the force, at the risk of his family's prestige.

Though his success did not go unnoticed, as the Nuruodo family took notice of Sovrin, and offered him to be a part of the Chiss Commando Corps. Similarly to the standard training, Sovrin excelled over his peers once again. After several months of training, Sovrin graduated on the rank of Captain of the Chiss Commandos, becoming one of the youngest officers in the CEDF at the age of 12...WIP

Preferably a Lore planet.

Custom planets can be rabbit holes where people either become confused due to the effort necessary in the creation of a whole new society, or become over powered nightmares that swamp other players.
