The present situation is one of an excess of Democratic Senators applied for in red seats. A Democratic Senator in Maine would exacerbate that issue.

There is a Democrat in North Dokota, but that state is interesting. It has arguably more socialist institutions than any other US State, but still is staunchy Republican. The character needs to be pro fossil fuels though

In general, she's moderate on welfare, pro gun rights, pro environment (I remember someone saying Montana has an environmentalist streak), generally pro choice, pro LGBT rights, pro balanced budgets....

That probably wouldn't suit Michigan very well at least. It would probably suit Montana, at least from what I know about the electorate.
