Fair enough. Although for the League, one of the posts said that they were using night vision, so I believe that we can rule out thermal.

That's not his escape plan, and he never told Merrymaker.

Now, a few things regarding the situation at the manor, more minor complaints than anything.
This system is talked about being extremely advanced and costing a colossal amount of money, yet Nightwing does minor things to get in and they become "Woah look at what a piece of shit Nightwing is, woah".
The overloading of the security fence would flip breakers, not blow up a gate house with the force to kill police officers just arriving at the scene.
And the security system which is able to generate Ruth 50,000 dollars in a matter of seconds and is controlled by a sentient AI, lacks a system to reset the security automatically, which should trigger the correct order.

And I doubt the AI has government jurisdiction to request a warrant based on what it says happened, a Police Investigation would be required to prove the allegations. Like I said, no personal attacks here, just slight complaints.

The system is very complex and when an unknown technology took over, locking Less (who controls it) out, the new system (the hacking virus) simply did what it was told to do, not knowing the proper order in reversing the protocols that Less does. It wasn't his "fault", but his recklessness in hacking the system did lead to the situation.

Also, the explosion was caused by damage sustained when the backup generator for the fence attempted to run after the first was shorted, but was unable to, leading to a buildup in energy that caused the explosion.

Obviously, Ruth will no longer rely on gasoline generators.

And I'm not sure if we're going to the docks yet, because people at the docks have asked for us not to go there.

Lic, Nightwing's waiting outside the destroyed front gates. I suggest Tim gets there right now and gets him heading to the docks. Babs will stay behind to deal with the situation at the mansion. So much for closure between Babs and Dick, at least for the moment.

Now, that all makes sense but let me just mention some things here.
The virus the Nightwing uploaded is a hijacker, it can't trigger a shutdown because it doesn't have the code required, that would be a 15gb payload in and of itself. It works by taking admin control and triggering the clientside shutdown, so in essence the system acts as if Ruth or the security guard triggered it from their end.

And theoretically the second generator shouldn't be damaged, if you have breakers in place, which is required by law, the increase in voltage would flip all the breakers and cut all the power to and from the generators until they were switched back on.

It's not badly written or anything, it's just that lots of the actions caused by Nightwing just trying to get inside are forgoing logic itself.

It's okay, I'm not asking for Retcons or anything crazy, just as an experience thing that logic normally wins in most situations.

However, Less was also ejected, as she is not the system but the program that executes the systems, so that she can never be corrupted or controlled if the system is hacked. Since she was also ejected, she is the one who puts everything in place and orders it all in the proper order. It makes sense to her, in the way that a desk may seem messy and chaotic to some, but to the person who sits there it works for them and makes sense.

Yeah it's all good, I assumed you had some kind of system controlling the house, which is why the reset would only get partway before the system realised it was from a malicious source.
But thanks for the advice, I'll speak up if anything seems out of place in the future.
