Also, I don think a M1911 would be GCPD standard issue so maybe it's her dad's gun or maybe a tricked out, pro-shooter Colt?)

I actually like that idea a lot, having her weapon as her dad's gun. I think I’ll add it in there, maybe say she pulled a few strings to convince her boss to let her keep it as her service weapon.
