Our IC turned one month old a few hours ago. In that time we have had 352 posts and broken 15 pages. Well done, everyone!

I don't know, I'll reverse that question back at you: could she? It's your character. My intention, when making it, was that the very very very strongest characters like Batman would still be able to resist, but it's a tiny number and she should be able to control most characters given the chance. Up to you. If you like, when she's being trained, Question could have her try and do it to him on purpose as a test to find out.

Sorry to interject but my two cents- No, "Indomitable Will" means indomitable will. It means he can't be controlled by anyone, period.

It's a shame we don't have control of the original post anymore. If we did we could use it for votes and stuff. Have a few polls to see everyone's opinions on stuff. Favourite character, favourite moment, funniest character, best fight scene, etc.

Yeah, that is a shame. Hey, not to give you any more work because you're doing so much already, but did you want to add a poll topic section to the bottom of your roster list on page one?

Okay...
1. Best hero(ine): Brainy Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.
Why: This may be purely because Brainy is a good writer, but I just think this character really shines in her humanity, and reactions. Like her reaction to Damian being gone. She is on the verge of breaking down but she holds it back, making entirely irrational decisions as one would in such a state of emotional turmoil. Nice Job Brainy!
2. Best villain: Yaanas Harley. No question.
3.
“This is officer Rodney, we're in the basement of Wayne Enterprises. There’s a dog- he’s got powers, and he has hostages. We need help!”

4.Well, obviously it’s COOPER THE DEVIL DOG! *Applause*
5. The docks.
6. I gotta say, the guard radioing in a super powered dog was pretty shocking.

I prefer she/they pronouns, and I enjoy not having to debate people over whether or not they should respect that. If they/them pronouns aren't something you're cool with, just use she/her. Thanks! -That same idiot, 2020

Without further ado:

1. My favourite hero goes to Tim. Poor guy was thrown in the deep end with the emotional issues and has the difficult job of taking Batman's place. Guy's trying his damn hardest despite the tough challenges he is facing.
2. Favourite villain... hmm, I've liked PF's new Mad Hatter so far and want to see more.
3. I was stuck on this for a while but agree with Haedros. As an individual moment it was a good one, very funny and a good hook.
4. The Question is a funny guy, of course. Him and his conspiracies amuse me, the radio show with the Queen was good.
5. I liked the fight with the Historian and his Ottoman minions against Babs and Damian.
6. Most shocking moment is pretty easy - Damian getting hospitalised.
In the future I'd like to see Bane, Bane added, and Bane breaking someone's back.

1. I think Tim is certainly one of the most interesting heroes, he’s being very well developed and he’s portrayed as a really human guy - almost too human. But I also really like how Brainy RPs as Babs and makes her emotions so realistic. I really can’t choose here. I’ll say Tim’s character development and his story is more intriguing, but Babs’ moments are really well written and fun to read.

2. Yaana’s Harley is one of the best interpretations of the character I’ve seen in my life. The Penguin is also one I liked early in the RP, he was very true to his comic counterpart.

3. Best moment? The interaction between the Queen and Babs was very fun and well played. The ensuing rift in the Batfamily was also a cool part to read.

4. Funniest moment? Any part with Cooper. He’s just so whimsical and awesome!

5. The docks where Tim and Dick fight their way to the hostages. Very well described.

6. Damian falling into a coma. Definitely very shocking.

I want to see more of Hush. He’s supposed to be insanely smart but also motivated by revenge and his own ideology, not money or power, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out. I really hope one of the heavy hitters makes a brief appearance late in the RP, like Supergirl or Joker or someone of that brand.

And I want to see Stephanie strangled :p just messing, I just want to ask Lic: was her being this annoying your intention?

Yeah, so I when I started the app for Stephanie I imagined her as a really sweet and perfect friend like Betty Cooper from Archie. But when I started RP’ing for her, I thought it would be better character development if I gave her a really immature rookie feel so that when she (hopefully) becomes a kick-ass hero, no one will see it coming.

As for my vote....

1. Damian Wayne. Really bratty but cute at the same time.

2. I really liked Merrymaker, especially for his dynamic with Riddler earlier and how he’s always about outfoxing the other.

3. Babs’ talk with Harley is one of my favorite moments in the RP because of how it emphasizes humanity over black and white good and evil.

4. I dunno, hasn’t been too funny of an RP...how about when Cooper becomes a sadistic demon, tries to trick Tim, and then blows up a building? That’s soooo funny. :lol2:

5. Queen’s estate fight scene.

6. We all know the answer.

This might seem out of the blue, but I’m really interested in Carrie. She’s only had one post but I want more. A religious hero isn’t something that’s often portrayed and I think that dynamic should be explored. Carrie’s strong sense of right and wrong is really something the Disciples needs right now, although Tim will have some problems with her age. I look forward to recruiting her soon.

Catwoman would be a character I’d like to see introduced. I’d also love to see Talia meet up with Bruce again. I always thought she was his best love interest.

Anti-Hero App

Postby The Four Horsemen » Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:59 pm

Anti-Hero App:
Name/Alias: Eclipse/ Grey Ryker
Age: Exact age unknown
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Personality: Calculating, cold, cunning, disciplined, has multiple personalities, has frequent, violent flashbacks to his past, and extremely driven.
Faction: N/A
Race: Human
Backstory: Grey walked for two days without water and food, relying solely on his will to survive, until he had arrived at some kind of large installation. The building was made out of a bleak, gray color, and there was no sign of people anywhere. It looked like a barren, ghost town. He wandered through the looming buildings, phasing in and out of consciousness until finally, he collapsed as he succumbed to the blackness.

His eyes fluttering and a painful, piercing ring in his ears, he slowly regained consciousness as auditory and sensory details began flooding into his ears and eyes. A massive headache permeated throughout his head as he slowly began to realize he was in some sort of pod. Panicking, with his sore muscles, he clenched his fist and punched the glass. To his surprise, the glass wall completely shattered like breaking a thin piece of ice. Surprisingly he felt no pain in his right hand, which was the hand he punched with, actually, he couldn't feel anything. It was a strange sensation. He stumbled out of a pod and it seemed that he was in an abandoned building, but he couldn't seem to remember who or what he was. He looked around the room, trying to find something of use. No luck. He headed to what looked like a central console. He pressed random buttons hoping to somehow turn it on. With a sudden whirring sound, the computer turned on, leading to a home screen with various folders. He tried clicking on each of them in order to try and get a grasp of where he was or who he was. Much to his dismay, a password was required and there probably was a substantial level of encryption. Although there was one window open. It led to a web browser which was opened to a bank account. He was startled at the balance of the account. It contained several million dollars under the name Brian Sacks in the Gotham City Bank. It was too good to be true. How could a bank account containing millions of dollars just pop open in an abandoned building, especially after Grey had just woken up? Who locked him in the pod, where was he, who owned this building, who owned the bank account, and most important of all who was he. From out of nowhere screams of fear pulsed throughout the room as the old, grey building slowly transformed until Grey was tied up against the wall. Next to him were several men also tied up, all a bloody mess, with blood pouring from their mouths and open wounds. It made him sick. A man dressed in all black picked up a saw. His face was hidden by the black balaclava he was wearing. Suddenly and roughly, the man grabbed his right wrist and began hacking at it. Instantly, an unbearable pain shot up his entire up as Grey tensed his entire body. He screamed in agony.

"NOO!"
"ASCEAIP system initiating." A voice filled his head as Grey was shuddering with pain while hanging on the ropes.

His right wrist began vibrating as his hand transformed into some sort of weapon and instantly shot a large beam of blue laser towards the wall, creating a large crater in the concrete. The vision suddenly vanished as quickly as it came as Grey frantically looked around flustered. He realized it was only some sort of flashback. But what had happened just now with his hand transforming.

"Hello. I am Al." The familiar voice rang in his head once again.

Inside the decrepit building, Grey learned of an advanced AI embedded in his spine. However, he still could not determine who he was or how he had gotten into the building. His journey led him to Gotham City where he would claim the money in the bank account. However, once inside the bank, he found a note which led tens of different banks all over the Gotham area. The total amount of money Grey amassed was 14.8 billion dollars. Curious as to how he had gotten access to this unusually large some of the money, he began investigating, which inevitably led him to the underground crime scene. In order to get the information he wanted, Grey learned that he had to force people to give the information.

Several years in Gotham made Grey even colder, more calculating, and more mentally unstable as the flashbacks were getting worse. At this stage, Grey was discovering more and more hidden weapons and features in his body with the help of the artificial intelligence in his spinal cord, Al. He had found a lead on someone who might possibly know more about his past and started investigating several major politicians in Gotham who had ties with Amanda Waller who he deemed might know someone who knew something about him. His most current lead is that him waking up in the pods had something to do with a classified program in Checkmate, a government organization run by Amanda Waller. He tortured or killed anyone that stood in his way, whether the person was a politician or a criminal. In order to achieve his goals, he used his wealth and his connections to work with S.T.A.R. Labs in order to create the exotic arsenal Eclipse employs in his quest to find who he is.

Powers/Weapons/Tech:

Exotic Weaponry
ASCEAIP (Al): ASPEAIP stands for Advance Spinal Cord Embedded Artifical Intelligence Program. Its nickname is Al and provides support for Grey. With Grey's consent, Al is able to take control of Grey's body, maximizing the efficiency of subduing or killing an enemy by rapidly analyzing fight patterns. In addition, it is able to automatically deploy security measures if it senses that Grey is in danger by taking data from various sensors embedded all over his body which provide detailed mapping of Grey's surroundings wherever he goes. Al is also able to project any information it deems important to the eyes of Grey as sort of like a HUD.

Pulsating Solid State Laser Weapons System: This weapon is located in Grey's right hand and extends all the way up to his right arm. Instead of conventional laser weapons, this weapon pulsates its laser into small, short bursts allowing the laser to have a deadlier effect. In addition, as the laser is a solid state, it allows the laser to be powered by electricity with very high power. The weapons systems have various different frequencies which can be used in various situations. Al calculates which frequency to use depending on the situation with A.T.H.E.N.A, a complex program which uses many types of combat algorithms in conjunction to help assess threats better.

MWDS: The Micro Weapons Delivery System includes nanorobots which are programmed to carry various types of micro weapons used by Eclipse which include micro-nuclear devices and inhalable microparticles which can either incapacitate or kill depending on the situation.

Gauss Rifle: A portable and very powerful gauss rifle, designed with the intent to maximize muzzle energy as well as achieving a far greater muzzle velocity than a standard firearm. The gun works by using multiple coils used as strong electromagnets which are configured as a linear motor in order to accelerate a special type of ferromagnetic projectile. Breaking the limitations of how fast Gauss rifles can fire projectiles, the muzzle energy is 18,000 J, which is higher than most conventional firearms. This is done by using an altered metamaterial that can mimic electromagnetic properties similar to magnets, which enables the gauss rifle Eclipse uses to have a much higher magnetic saturation than other primitive gauss rifles.

Weaknesses:(Actual weaknesses, not just a stronger person or that they are human)
Skills:(Mundane Abilities not related to your powers)
RP Examples: (At least Two regardless of whether i have rp'ed with you before or not)
Extra Information (Optional, and for enjoyment and Immersion)
Day Job: (what job do you have when not a hero or vigilante saving Gotham from itself?)
Living Place: (What district does your character reside in, and where is their home base, separate from Wayne Manor)
Voice Actor: (name and preferably a sound bit if possible)
Likes/Dislikes:
Theme Song:
Did you read the rules? Yes!

1. I quite enjoy Batgirl. I haven't seen her played so well in the (admittedly few) Gotham rps I've been in.
2. I do like Merrymaker. Maybe because the Crow was originally going to be a plague doctor (good thing I threw that out), maybe because he's so unique and new... I don't know what's coming.
3. I kinda liked when the Bat family was altogether that first night... and bickering. It felt human.
4. I liked the part where Babs started lecturing the Queen on eating endangered animals. That was funny.
5. Probably the docks... but I found the interactions more interesting than the combat itself.
6. I want to say the appearance of Cooper put me off more than anything else in the rp... (OOC learning that Dogwelder exists).

Tell us!

1. Well, I would like to see something that forces our characters into conflict.
2. I would really like to see Scarecrow.
3. I would like to see the puzzle box resolved...

Okay...things I've learned from reading the latest batch of IC posts...

It doesn't pay to be a cop, a corpse, a vagrant or a "fucker in a prison monkey suit" in Gotham City!

And PF, I can't believe you!!! Rashida is gonna leave Lydia standing in front of a locked gate the whole f-ing day?!! Crow just made an enemy for life! FOR LIFE!!!

Local 22 year old Diet Coke Addict College Student Ruins Everything

Quote of the Week: "A NEW STORY ON WRITING THREAD FOR HALLOWEEN!! MYSTERY MINE AVAILABLE NOW!"

RPs I do
- How do you do fellow kids? You want to see something violent? - Artemis: Deimos Trafficking League (Horror/Mature)
- Descend into the forgotten tourist traps of Florida on this transgressive RP! - The Community (Mature/Black Comedy/Slice-of-Life)

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.
