Name/Alias: Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Elliot/Hush
Age: 49
Gender: Male
Appearance:(Image)
Personality: Calculating, Strategic, Darkly Humorous, Intellectual, Obsessed
Faction: Gang of Freaks
Affiliation: NA
Race: Human
Backstory:
Tommy wasn’t always a criminal lunatic. He started out as a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne; they often hung out at each other’s mansions, playing strategy games like chess. Tommy’s ability to anticipate Bruce’s moves always allowed him to win. Tommy was an heir to the legacy of a very wealthy family of Tech Billionaires. His father was the CEO of ElliotT, a tech company specialized in advanced weapon development. His mother had come from a poor background and married Tommy’s dad for the wealth. Tommy was completely homeschooled; his father was an overbearing man who was paranoid of Tommy befriending “outsiders and street rats;” the only friend he approved of was Bruce. Tommy resented his father for keeping him at home and forcing him to read Aristotle as opposed to playing with other kids. His father’s paranoia soon became a mental condition. His dad became increasingly sexually abusive towards his mother. After witnessing a particularly brutal rape of his mother by his dad, Tommy’s mental stability cracked. He became desperate to run away and become successful on his own. But Tommy was convinced that he needed the family wealth to become successful and feel safe from his father. The desire for the wealth became greater and greater, until Tommy needed it immediately. He devised a plan to murder his father and inherit the wealth by disabling the break in his car. The plan worked without a hitch. His father was killed in an accident, and Tommy was convinced that he would inherit the wealth from his mother when he was of age. But alas, Tommy’s happiness was brief. His mother married another man, a man Tommy despised. Then, his mother developed serious leukemia. Her dying wish to Tommy was for him to admit himself to an asylum. After she died, Tommy read her will and was enraged. She had left all of the Elliot Legacy’s wealth to her new husband. Not a penny went to Tommy.
This is when Tommy developed a serious jealousy of Bruce Wayne. Wayne’s parents died too; he came out a respected billionaire. Tommy’s parents died, and he came out penniless. Of course, he soon got a job because of his educated background. He was a bright person. He worked as a professor of neurological medicine in a community college. But his envy of Wayne didn’t die. And unlike other Batman villains, Tommy soon discovered Bruce to be Batman. He had seen the Batcave with his own eyes, recognized the tech. It was all Bruce’s. That’s when he became Hush, Batman’s greatest hater. His one goal: to destroy Batman’s legacy and place in history by exponentially ramping up crime in Gotham, and murdering every single superhero on the city’s streets. By taking control of several drug cartels and brutal gangs, Hush seeks to demolish Batman’s image piece by piece. And he’s always one step ahead.
Powers/Weapons/Tech:
- Military style weapons (assault rifles, machine guns, handguns)
- Expert Marksman
- Exceptional Strategist
Weaknesses: Experts are quite sure that Hush has bipolar disorder, which can cause him to randomly depress in fights or high stress situations. He has to learn to cope with these low mood wings.
Skills: Philosophical, very intelligent
RP Examples:Hush
The call of an owl. The crack of the lightning. The crunching sound of the leaves. Hush was sick of it all. The mundaneness. The...uselessness of life. Wouldn’t it be much easier to tear the entire social construct down than try to improve it? Why didn’t Gothamites see? Why couldn’t those simpletons understand that Hush is the hero? That he’s trying to save everybody by freeing them. Why did they all pray to that BATMAN?
Hush’s client should have been here by now. There was, scuffling through the autumn leaves filling up the forest on Githam’s outskirts. Hush sauntered up to him and grabbed him by the face. “Show me the shipment.” He growled. The intimidated man pulled out a small round container from his trench coat pocket. Hush opened the container. A white powder was inside. He sniffed it. “This...this, you ass, is COCAINE. I didn’t ask for cocaine, right? No. I asked for the goddamn biological weapon that those Mexico City eggheads were developing. The one that destroys populations in minutes. We talked about this! What the hell is this?” He asked with a hint of danger.
“A thousand apologies, boss...please. I risked my life across the border and in Mexico and here to bring this to you. They tricked us, and I had so many people following me thinking I had the weapon...but it’s just drugs! I had no idea! Please, sir...I suffered so much to get this, I didn’t enjoy myself.”
“Oh?” Hush replied, “Well...Aristotle did say, ‘Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.’” Smiling, he quickly snapped the moron’s neck.
Day Job: Adjunct Professor of Neurological Medicine at Gotham Community College
Living place: East End, a small apartment
Voice Actor: Jude Law
Likes/Dislikes: Likes the works of Aristotle; dislikes the concept of structure in society
Theme Song: Kashmir
Did you read the rules? Yes

That's because you helped me with it, haha. Brainy helped too, was their cool idea to have her powers work in a reverse on stronger-willed people than vice versa. Was a neat concept.
By the way sorry about not responding. Actually thought I had. Working on it now.

I totally agree! Just about the liking part, not the bias part! So, she has a fear of birds, huh? Might make a good foil for the Crow. My only concern is for the weakness part. If, for instance, she only controlled one person, she could conceivably control that person forever with how her powers are written. What if, her control over someone gradually diminishes over time? Because while they're under her control, they're docile and not giving off that strength of will she needs. Think of it like a rechargeable battery. She has to release her control (while maybe keeping them under physical restraint for instance if she still needs to use them) so they can recuperate their strength and will so she can seize their mind again? Just an idea, you can totally use it or not, it's up to you.

She's scared of birds because I thought it would be an interesting thing to do, everybody seems to have something up with their psyche in Gotham. Also it's a reference to the basilisk. You can't look into the basilisk's eyes because it will kill you, but it can be killed hearing the crow of a rooster. With her you can't look into her eyes as she'll hypnotise you, and if she hears a bird, it'll freak her out.

So The Queen is her antithesis?
