Appearance: Khaddam is rather tall at 183 centimeters, with average build and strength. His dark brown hair is neatly combed and kept short, face cleanly shaven, all according to the military regulations he's operated by. Sometimes, in the field, he changes his appearance as needed.
Mage Abilities (if any): None.
Mundane Equipment (if any): Concealed Makarov PB, Swiss Army knife in travel bag, personal travel/grooming kit, various ID documents (falsified), notepad and pen, Nokia flip phone, some money in a wallet, cigarette box, subminiature camera in cigarette box, bulky old Toshiba laptop (remember those old things? Keyboard pointer hurt but man they were built to last), silver neck chain with a prayer inscribed in the center,.
Personality: A tough, independent-thinking man of action who nevertheless has a polite smile on his face. He isn't afraid to give out his opinion on things, but experience has taught him to shut up most of the time regardless.
Short Bio:

A former paratrooper turned Military Intelligence officer, Nizar has always loved adventure and excitement. Though being in intelligence was exhausting, especially when working in a neighboring country torn by civil war, it could be just as exhilarating engaging in the great game with his counterparts from around the world, all while serving his country. Though nothing was ever certain in life, his career path seemed pretty certain - continue to be promoted under the tutelage of his CO, a man whom he mutually respected and was loyal to, and rise up in the organization, perhaps eventually coming to command a branch. However, he had no clue what was awaiting him around the corner.

One day while recruiting, he managed to catch someone very unique. A magus fleeing Europe broke and broken, looking for someone to listen to him and help him out. Like any good case officer, he did just that, and what he heard was astonishing. This talk, of fantastic powers and secret societies, excited and terrified him in equal measure, like a blind man seeing for the first time. Someone had to make sure that dark, unlimited power was in check! And, being his catch, that someone would be him. The question was, where would he start?

Surprisingly, it wasn't something he ended up having to worry about. Almost as soon as it happened, he received a mysterious letter with money inviting him to America. It was suspicious, mighty suspicious - he was almost afraid to respond. How this person had found him and what he wanted, he did not know. Perhaps it was a trap? But, the lure of adventure was strong, and there were ways to get him out in case he did run into trouble in America. With the help of his CO, with whom he shared some - but not all! - of the truth, he packed his bags, and headed out for his new assignment.

Now, with the clock ticking closer and closer, he's preparing for the fight of a lifetime. Whether he lives or dies, whatever the outcome, so be it - but may none of his efforts go in vain. For indeed, the swords have been thrown, and the Father of Battles is about to begin - a true world war, hidden behind the shadows of modern life.

Notable Likes/Dislikes/Fears (if any): He enjoys soccer and martial arts, as well as cooking/eating food - though outside of coffee and tea his skills are rather limited. He also enjoys traditional music and poetry, which is usually done in the little amount of rest time he has.

Unsurprisingly, he hates - if not is offended by - people showing him a lack of manners or decorum. Personal pride and honor reveals who you are as a person, after all - why sell it for cheap, he thinks. The presence of magic also discomforts him, and he doesn't trust it or its users as a general rule, though like all of his emotions he hides it under his ever-ready smile. On a more petty level, he despises eggplants, considering them the worst vegetable grown on Earth.

Name: Natsumi Sasaki

Gender: Female

Appearance: Standing at a modest 5’5, Natsumi possesses a rather weak build, all those years of neglecting physical activity in pursuit of knowledge taking it’s toll on her body, as she looks almost like a twig her eyes a bit languid yet always awake-- as if she’s afraid of something greater than perceivable.

Cell Phone: She doesn’t use it all that much but it’s there.
Big Satchel full of occult/magic books/seemingly cryptic notes [Eldritch]: This is Natsumi’s most prized possession. It’s a satchel chock full of occult-related notes and magical tomes, as well as actual books by Lovecraft and cryptic notes which could only be made by someone whose sanity isn’t in the greatest state, also in a strange language.
Sacrificial Dagger: It’s not necessarily useful for combat. It’s shaped strangely and has many engraved carvings into the blade, and it emits a very slight magical aura, though so far she only knows the blade is to be used in some form of ritual.
A literal piece of Osaka Castle: Given to her by Giorgio, this piece of Osaka Castle was the catalyst to summoning her servant, and she keeps it on her person all the time ‘just in case’. Though she admits it might not be useful, it’s good to keep everything just in case.

Personality:
Paranoid and alert would sum up Natsumi’s personality well to the average onlooker. Always seeming to think that something’s out to get her, the girl constantly looks over her shoulder, and won’t let anything get to her. However, despite this, one might be surprised to find that while this girl is very much afraid of the unknown-- whether that be what’s around the corner, or what lies beyond their five senses, they are undoubtedly an incredibly curious soul, thirsting for knowledge. The more she knows, the less she can be surprised by, after all.

Short Bio:
Natsumi was born into a long-standing Japanese family of magi, though they sent their child off to an adoption center to live with what could be assumed to be a normal family. Said family raised Natsumi as if she was their own, as she went through all the steps, from elementary to high school. Though sometime into her education, her interest was piqued-- one day in the mail, a bunch of strange books arrived marked with her name on the boxes. She read up on them, as they detailed many different types of ‘magic’, even though she previously thought it not to exist. Nonetheless, she decided to indulge anyways, and after a while, finally realized that this all wasn’t fake, though who sent those tomes-- and… Why her?

Eventually, she started her own Occult club in high school, and additionally fell in love with the works of Lovecraft and the eldritch, doing much more research in those areas as well. Soon this love grew into an obsession, as an overwhelming sense of dread fell upon her, eventually. at this point she felt that she knew TOO much to be safe, and that perhaps out of nowhere, she’d be whisked away by some creature of the eldritch. Nonetheless, she continued down the rabbit hole, as she now had sufficient information to do actual summoning rituals, though she dared not tempt fate. What if the elder gods WERE real…? That’s not a chance she was willing to take at least-- not yet.

One day, something did finally manage to catch this girl off guard, however. A letter in the mail one night, extending an invitation to magi such as herself to come to New York via a free jet ride. While this all seemed suspicious, Natsumi’s curiosity got the better of her, as she packed up all of her tomes and notes and set out, reviewing all her cryptic notes and tomes one last time on the way there.

On her arrival, she was shocked to find that she was chosen to participate in the Grail War. She had read about it in the tomes, where masters summon servants to fight and win the grail, which would grant any wish. The girl hadn't anticipated this, of all things. She was scared-- but also excited for what to come. It was too late, however. Once she was there, it wasn’t like she had any other choice, anyways.

Notable Likes/Dislikes/Fears (if any):
Much like appearances would suggest, Natsumi enjoys the prospect of learning new things, especially the unknown. She loves finding people she can discuss her theories and knowledge to, though she does tend to also enjoy literature or media of a darker tone, being especially enamoured by the elder gods. As such, she severely dislikes people who seem to have little or no respect towards the pursuit of knowledge, magic, and the eldritch especially. She also tends to dislike those with large egos, seeing humans such as herself as inferior compared to the elder gods she admires and fears so much. Speaking of fears, even though she enjoys exploring the unknown, Natsumi is terrified of it, and seeks to never be surprised-- being especially paranoid when dealing with matters of the eldritch, even if she isn’t doing anything relating to them at the time.
