I'm certain the guards won't let that happen. I sense a "STOP CRIMINAL SCUM" in your near future.

A Dark Elf mage, a bloodthirsty Argonian, and some cocaine-fuelled guards would make an interesting fight.

That it would, that it would...

Looking to join this! May take me a while, though, I'd like to read through everything that's already happened to catch up. Joining an RP in the middle of it is very confusing.

I was up until yesterday very busy with some uni work myself, unfortunately - probably will be a bit busy until the end of the week as well, but hopefully less so!

"Amateurs talk about tactics, but professionals study logistics."
- Gen. Robert H. Barrow

Chancellor Augustus Guilamus
Race: Imperial (Nibenese)
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: 6'2", well built
Class: Warrior
Equipment: Short sword
Old legion officer armor
An feather quill, ink container, and pieces of parchment for recording information and scrawling ideas
Skills: Logistics, Administration, Diplomacy, Strategic Planning
Weaknesses: Rusty in combat, no magical knowledge
Bio: Augustus was born 51 years ago in the Imperial City to a wealthy Nibenese noble family; his father, Desiderius, was a prominent politician of the time while his mother, Aurea, was a skilled scholar. Together, the two ensures their son had the best education they could afford to give him, and instilled a rigid moral code in him. For years he studied law, economics, and strategy, honing his mind into a tool sharper than any blade, and slowly climbed the ranks in the Imperial City bureaucracy. When he was 20 married a noblewoman named Seraphina and the next year the two had their first son, Iacomus; two more would follow in the coming years, named Titus and Cato. By the time he was 30 he had earned an important but not very prestigious job in the Imperial Bureaucracy, though he briefly left this position for a 5 year term in the Legion, seeing combat during the Oblivion Crisis.

After the Crisis ended, Augustus returned to his previous role and continued his work. His was at first a thankless job, but he did not need any gratitude from those he served; the work was its own reward for him. Despite the original thanklessness of his role, his work ethic ironically got him noticed relatively quickly, and soon his slow rise became a fast ascent into greatness. By the time he was 47, he was given a seat on the Elder Council and put in charge of the Empire's failing infrastructure. An outspoken supporter of Titus over Thules (on the basis of merit rather than race), Augustus has nevertheless began using the Emperor's negligence to his advantage, gaining power in the council and passing reforms through diplomacy and legal work.
RP Sample: Here's a short story I wrote for school.

Personality: Augustus has been called many things in his life; to those who support him, he is just, reliable, level-headed, and trustworthy while to those who hate him, he is foolish, naive, uptight, bureaucratic, and boring. As in all things, the truth is somewhere in-between; yes, he is trustworthy, but that trust comes from a place of optimism that borders on naivety. Indeed he is uptight, but that is what makes him to be so reliable and level-headed. Even in the times of greatest hardship, he looks up and sees a bright future awaiting the empire, if only those who make it up could put aside that which divides them and unite.
Likes: The Empire, Family, Reading, Meritocracy, Humility
Dislikes: Emperor Thules, Secessionists, the Thalmor, Greedy and opulent noblemen, Cults

Other members of the Guilamus family:

I could not find an image for Augustus' wife so that will be blank for now, but other than that, how does the app look?

Looks very good to me!

Just handed in my research paper 3 minutes before the deadline (fuck people that bail out last minute, leaving you with all sorts of shit to do!) - should have more free time to get this back on track now!

I know we've RP'd in the past, but I hope you don't mind that I made my RP sample a 12 page, 3,515 word short story I made for school (and fun).

Nazir al-Ash'aba
Image

Race: Ash'abah Redguard
Gender/Sex: Male
Appearance: 6'0, a tattoo of Tu'whacca's boat (basically a crescent) on his left chest, over his heart, which acts as an identifier for Redguards that he is of the Ash'abah tribe. He has several dozen fading scars on his legs, upper arms, chest and back from his younger, more foolish years.
Class: Warrior
Equipment: A traditional Redguard scimitar, an iron spear, a round oak shield studded with iron, an iron dagger strapped to his belt, traditional Redguard garb, a Redguard hood, a pair of worn-out Imperial boots and a pair of similarly worn-out leather braces. He has a belt with pouches storing some food (just some bread, really), several potions, a small whetsone and a pouch with what few gold pieces he has left. He has a bronze ring on his left index finger with an engraving of a snake chasing a crescent - Sep (the Yokudan equivalent of Lorkhan) chasing Tu'whacca's boat - around the band. It's an heirloom, the only thing he has left of his tribe.
Skills: Much like his fellow Redguard brethren, Nazir was born to fight. With shield, sword and spear, Nazir in his prime could have easily outlasted many enemies - provided they don't use magic. What differentiates Nazir from his fellow Redguards, however, is that he joined an Imperial legion. He learned discipline. While his brothers, Crown and Forebear alike, were used by the Empire mainly as auxiliaries and cavalry, Nazir was on the frontline as an infantryman. He learned how to fight as a unit, and how to command small units as well, having reached the rank equivalent that of a sergeant (Quaestor? Praefect?). The Ash'aba, unlike the vast majority of Redguards, were willing to use several kinds of magic to help them in their roles within Hammerfell society - namely, some destruction magic to help fight the undead, and some restoration magic to help "purify" the dead (and undead). Nazir's knowledge in restoration magic has also been used for healing - although, he is no expert in magic.
Weaknesses: Nazir is starting to get old. He's definitely about to become past his prime, maybe only a few more battles left before a Redguard commander would ask him to retire. Like many other Redguard - and unlike his tribe, Nazir has little to no knowledge about magic - except for those stated above. Because of his training in the Imperial Legions, Nazir does not fight the way Redguard do: swift and guerrilla-like. To his people in Hammerfell, sacrificing speed with discipline is definitely a weakness. Several decades of fighting has left Nazir with many injuries, most important of which are several injuries he sustained in his legs. He is slower than any veteran warrior his age - while he still has the strength of a Redguard, he will never be as fast as one.
Bio: He hails from the Alik'r Desert, roaming near a throne to the Yokudan god, Tu'whacca, his tribe's designated home where they may not venture from on pain of banishment from the tribe. Nazir was raised in abject poverty, with their lives in the Alik'r desert characterized by ritual, tradition, and subsistence. While growing up, like many of the dwindling number of Ash'aba (no more than a few hundred left), Nazir was taught the Redguard way of the warrior and, unlike many other Redguard, Nazir was taught magic. While not as fluent in the magical ways as other humans, the Ash'aba have used magic for centuries to combat the undead. Because of the Redguard custom of venerating the dead, only the Ash'aba are able - and even willing - to fight necromancers and undead, and that requires a proficiency in magic that most other Redguards just don't have.

When the Oblivion crisis erupted, Nazir and many of his Ash'aba brethren took the opportunity to leave their tribe and join the Imperial legion. Plenty enough of his tribe joined the legion to be able to form three contuberniums for themselves - a third of their century. Nazir, still a teenager at this time, would experience fighting both the dead and the living for the first time during the Oblivion crisis. In fact, much of his experience was during this time. He, his Ash'aba brethren, and their century, were very much wanted by their legion for the extra abilities they had in fighting the undead. By the end of the crisis, three contuberniums had been reduced to just one, and the dozen Ash'aba that survived the Crisis went their separate ways when the legion no longer required their services. Most of them returned to their tribe, and all but Nazir returned to Hammerfell. Nazir decided to stay in Cyrodiil, hiring his services out as a sellsword - bodyguard, caravan guard, and plenty of other services. This much has allowed him to live comfortably - a small apartment in the Imperial city, plenty of water, enough food in his belly. However, Nazir is becoming old. He can't sustain this life of combat forever.

RP Sample: One, two, and three.

Personality: Having experienced living in the worst kind of poverty, barely eating in a week and surviving on only a few sips of water a day, Nazir has no desire to return to that life of poverty. Everything he does from hereon out is to make sure he never has to experience that life. He has no problems with the traditions and rituals of the Ash'aba, just a problem with how they lived.
Likes:
Dislikes: He doesn't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
Age: At least 40 and no more than 45- Nazir isn't totally sure.

I'm not sure either - the Imperial City would seem a logical start for an Imperial bureaucrat, I imagine.

Also, sorry for my absence - things have been rather hectic lately! Shall we try to get things back on track?

Excellent!

The warmth that has been plaguing me the past week has made it a struggle to get to writing really, unfortunately.
