Llyrin is very proficient in the uses of battle magic thanks to his service against the Argonians who invaded Morrowind following the Red Year. While his skills with a spear and shield have improved since the start of the war, his swordplay has always been top notch. He still relies heavily on his magic training

Weaknesses: Llyrin has difficulty in using ranged weapons of any kind. While he can certainly sling a spell in someone's direction, you ask him to shoot an arrow, or throw a dagger and he is off the mark consistently. Due to wearing heavier armor, Llyrin does seem to have difficult sneaking up on just about anyone. Additionally, he will not share a table or even a building with an Argonian, having spent much time fighting them in his homeland.

Bio:

Born in the Telvanni Canton of Vivec City, Llyrin grew up a devote follower of Vivec and the Tribunal as a whole. His youth was spent learning magic with Telvanni instructors and sword work from their own guards. He learned how to best use heavy armor and some restorative magics from the Ordinators of the other Cantons. At age 16 he fought several times in the Arena on behalf of some Telvanni magister or another. He was sent to Sadrith Mora to continue his Telvanni education and eventually was promoted to Lawman and sent to Port Telvannis. Here he spent twenty years as a guard while learning more magic than most others from his family. He was here when the Tribunal fell and when the Oblivion Crisis struck. He was one of the few guards to launch raids into Oblivion managing to stem the tide of Daedra. With the Imperial Legions withdrawing from Morrowind amidst the crisis, the Dunmer were heavily out classed. Even the magisters of Telvanni were unable to completely stop the assault on their people. When the Crisis ended and the people were able to start assessing the damage done by the loss of their Gods and the destruction left by the Daedric invasion there was very little time to repair the landscape and prepare for what was next.

Baar Dau fell and Vivec City was destroyed. The Red Mountain exploded, a combination of the effects of Baar Dau and the destruction of the Heart of Lorkhan. The Fulfillment of the Nerevarine Prophecy meant vast devastation to the Dunmer. Earthquakes shook the whole province and fire and ash destroyed all on the island of Vvardenfell. Ash fell from the sky when Llyrin learned of the invasion from the Black Marsh. As the Argonians invaded and the people suffered, not a single Imperial Legion was in Morrowind. With House Hlaalu disenfranchised without the imperials to back them, the leadership of the Province was up for grabs. House Telvanni took a chance and sent their magisters and armies to face the invasion alongside House Dres. Fighting was brutal, the Argonians seemed to move as one and it took significant organization to fight them back. It had been a whole Era since last the armies of the Dunmer were needed to fight in this manner. The casualties were immense, Llyrin and many of his Telvanni comrades were wounded, but still had to fight. He must have seen a dozen battles before the first of the Redorans arrived.

With the arrival of the militant Redorans, alongside the remaining Telvanni wizards of course, the tide shifted to a stalemate. No longer were they losing ground and eventually were able to push the Argonians out of Morrowind as a whole. Llyrin was forced to fight with Redoran units as there were not enough Telvanni to even fill one full legion. Since then, he has never been able to see Argonians as anything aside from bloodthirsty barbarians only deserving a spear in the gut or a collar on their neck.

With the end of open warfare, most of the armies withdrew. The remaining Redoran garrisons were welcoming enough, but he had to find a new way forward for himself and possibly for the Dunmer. He knew of the troubles in Cyrodiil and that it could potentially leave Morrowind vulnerable unless it was solved quickly or in a manner which best fit the needs of Morrowind.

Sounds good. Probably need some kind of armed escort and a war veteran would probably be the perfect hire.

Edit: Though.. House Hlaalu, despicable folk there. Maybe if she kept that part quiet during the hiring, Llyrin wouldn't assume that she is Hlaalu. After all, she would be just another poor Dunmer in need.
