Biography: When the world went to shit practically overnight, it was a good thing someone had already become an apprentice of an Ohio gunsmith who had plans for this sort of thing. The boss called them Number Seven in place of an actual name and after the apocalypse, it quickly became a codename for communication to protect identities of those who worked for the guy in carving out a new home in the suburban wasteland. Number Seven had learned much of how to gunsmith and had even successfully made their own AR-15 and tooled it up to look like an M16A1, which was luckily all done before they really needed it. After a month of living off the surrounding area, and having acquired much in the ways of abandoned military vehicles, there was finally an opportunity to make long distance trips. Number Seven was the first to volunteer for an expedition down South to Chicago to do scouting and cache gathering, but they would be on their own for a long while before a return trip would be made. Thanks to the boss's prepper attitude that rubbed off on them, they were prepared to face dangers on their own for the most part.

Personality: James is very social and has a need for communication with other people, throughout his life he's been a joker and a friend to many. James is cool and level headed in most situations, but when the serenity dam breaks he loses it and resorts to his first instinct which is usually to punch whatever is in his way.

Dislikes: People who are antisocial, problems he can't solve with his own hard work, deceptive people.

Biography:
James was born in 1952 in Boston to an airline worker and a teacher at a catholic elementary school. When he was 13 years old he got into, and lost his first fist fight. After that he got into, and lost a lot more fights, but with each new fist he got better and better. Until one day he stopped losing. From then on fighting became his primal instinct, and he got involved with an illicit fight club run by the Irish Mob. After a police crackdown on the club James was briefly arrested for assaulting a police officer. He left Boston at age 20 to escape his past in a neighborhood that never forgets and moved to St. Louis. In St. Louis he got a job at a local auto body shop where he would work for over 30 years. Around the same time he met a beautiful young secretary named Rosie. After months of casual conversation and subtle flirting, James and Rosie started dating. And not too long after that, on July 17th 1974 the two were married. Over the years they had 3 children. Sons Charles and Arthur and a daughter Erin. James retired in 2003 and was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. James and Rosie sold everything and moved to Chicago for treatment. James' condition and was cleared of cancer for a long period of time. James opened up a garage and car lot of his own with an apartment above it and the 2 lived there until Rosie came down with the virus. James refused to leave her and attempted to find care and use any remedy possible to help her case. But sadly she became infected and attacked James and he had to beat his beloved to death. Shortly after that he lost all contact with his children and grandchildren and has no knowledge of their mortality, condition, or whereabouts. James now hides out in his garage drinking the day away and only ventures out in search of lone infected, the only food he can find given his location.

Sure, have a nickname, but I'd rather have an actual name. It would also be easier to list your EQUIPMENT as a list as I expect you to edit it regularly (and it makes it easier to see what people have at a glance). Concerning that, I think you have too many weapons and basically you come across almost as military based on gear alone. Military characters aren't being accepted and I feel like you're trying to make the character military in everything but name. Just delete PERSONALITY, LIKES, and DISLIKES if you don't want to fill them out. Concerning the BIO, Chicago is west of Ohio, not "south," and it's entirely likely that people would be too preoccupied not dying in their own locality to start scouting for new locations. It's only been a week since the military pulled out, and generally speaking you come across as overpowered by having a faction back home providing you with firearms and military equipment. If you were in a city then that area likely got overran by infection, and if you're from a rural area then military would probably have had a minor presence if any, and likely would still be active to some degree if they escaped from more dangerous areas. Have no issues with his GIFTED status, but weaken him a bit overall.

I can ax the KA-BAR and revolver, that’s fine. But she’s not military so much as a military enthusiast, which kinda comes with the territory of being a gunsmith. Not to mention, you’d be surprised how cheap and easy old surplus gear is.

It's more-so the point I'd rather have unprepared people forced into a situation than military-lite. It's basically exploiting a loophole when military/police characters are no longer being accepted.
