I'd like some numbers regarding your supplies. How many bullets? How much food? Etc. Regarding the rifle, a Mosin-Nagant is going to be more a liability than an asset. It kicks like a mule (and she's small and weak) and it's loud enough that you'll have every Infected in Chicago coming your way in no time flat. Just things to keep in consideration. Also, funnily enough, Colorado is likely the safest place in the country right now. Fix the equipment issue and that should be it.

I put in some numbers, lemme know if that fixes it up for you!

Also, Im aware of the weapon's drawbacks, its the reason I chose it. She's not going to straight up fight anyone, or any infected really, she can if she needs to, but her style is more the 'go around quietly and shoot them in the back' type.

Going around quietly with a Mosin-Nagant is an oxymoron if there ever was one. One final tip, for your equipment I'd list it out (not written in a paragraph) as I expect you to update it if you find/lose anything, so it would be easier to take stock of at a glance. If there's ever doubt about what you own I'm going by the app and if it's not updated you lose out. ACCEPTED.

wait, which CVS are you at?

On Chicago, I almost edited it to where I was going to the one on Kinzie, but from starter location that wouldn't make much sense since the one on Chicago is a shorter distance.

Increased physical strength, heightened awareness, all that jazz would work. Doesn't have to be something dramatic, it can be just a small thing that gives them an edge.

Maybe a sort of sixth sense that can detect immediate danger with a gut feeling. It also sometimes manifests in hallucinations, which your preacher could take as prophesies.

CALL OF THE WILD
    OBJECTIVE
Animal activist (and proclaimed vegan) Ashley Leigh (27) and her boyfriend Jeremy Jones (30) have setup camp near Lincoln Park Zoo with the goal of releasing the animals trapped inside, believing firmly that any fate to be found in the wilds of Chicago is better than slowly starving to death inside the cruel enclosures. Unfortunately, the Infected have since wandered into the zoo. The couple know for a fact that they alone cannot help the poor animals, so they require some outside help, but, sadly, their conservationist pleas have been ridiculed as absolutely ludicrous. Maybe someone, somewhere, will offer a hand to those in need.

    OBJECTIVE
    • Head to Lincoln Park Zoo and speak with Ashley Leigh.
    • Find the enclosure keys in the main office.
    • [OPTIONAL] Loot the enclosure keys from an Infected zookeeper.
    • Release the animals.

Name: Rowan Smith
Age (DoB): 21 (7/13/1997)
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Appearance: Stands at 6 feet tall, 210lbs. Lean, strong frame, but not very beefy. Toned muscles and fit. Facial features are shapr and defined, highlighting his thick, expressive eyebrows and dark grey eyes. He's pale, and he has thick brown hair that he spikes up in front. Frequently wears a brown leather jacket, band T-shirt, and black jeans.

Occupation: Architect
Immunity: Immune

Equipment: Backpack (bedroll, 3 days' worth of food, Swiss army knife), 7" fixed-blade hunting knife, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Skills: Good marksman, good driver, strong leadership skills
Weaknesses: Doesn't know the city well, doesn't work well on his own.

Accolades: (Badges of honor to be earned.)

Personality: Very much the strong and silent type. Rowan doesn't speak often, but when he does start speaking, he finds it hard to hold back. He isn't very trusting, though he is extremely loyal to those he trusts, and he is determined to survive as long as he can in this wasteland.
Likes: The woods, driving, working on his car, music, architecture
Dislikes: Other people (for the most part), fighting
Fears: Spiders, clowns, heights

Biography:
Rowan had, from a very young age, wanted to be an architect. He had, since birth, always been a leader. He inspired people to do things, and this made him ideal to lead teams of any kind. His mother thought he'd be a politician. But as he grew, he excelled in math and science at his Washington school, rising up through high school as one of their best science and technology students. Throughout, he proved his skills as a leader through countless group projects and deadlines. However, when college application time came around, his family broke a hard truth to him: they didn't have enough money to send him to college. This drastically limited his options as to where he could go to school. Purdue University offered him the most money, and he took it, taking three years of classes there. When the outbreak occurred, Rowan had been in the city for a night out with friends. Since then, he's been stranded in the city, unable to find enough gas to leave.

RP Example:
Rowan looked around hastily, checking to see if the street was occupied. When it seemed as though he were the only one there, he crept out into the open, making an effort to stay silent. Anyone-- or anything-- could hear him at any time, he reminded himself as he carefully tread on shattered glass and broken concrete. As he crossed the road towards an abandoned (and unlooted) general store, he kept his wits about him and his hand on his gun. You never knew when the zombies would come out to play, he knew. So he carefully entered the store and drew his gun.

It was a heavy thing, ugly. It was a dark grey color, like his eyes, and it was matte. The grips were rosewood, carved from a block Rowan had bought when in Brazil. The potential to kill clung to the weapon like a foul stench, and Rowan held it steadily, aiming into the doorway as he opened it gently.

Name: Frank Hegland
Age (DoB): 37 (DoB: 03/24/1981)
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Norwegian
Appearance:
Image

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 266 lbs.
Frank is a mountain of a fellow, yet despite his intimidating stature, he generally comes off more as a big teddy bear than a grizzly. He typically wears his hair short or shaven, and his beard long but not so long it'd be a detriment to his career (or survival) in this situation. Physically, he's as strong as bull but has a beergut that shows. Not as lean-and-mean as his high school wrestling days since that meat and potatoes diet's finally starting to catch up to him.
Occupation: Professional welder
Immunity: Immune - two of the moderators said this was okay given how the dog probably would've infected him by this point.

Equipment:
Clothes:
  • 1x old, heavy Carhartt jacket often used during welding, knicked from where metal has burned into it
  • 1x sturdy jeans
  • 2x heavy workboots
  • 2x heavy work gloves
  • 1x set of underclothing
  • 1x leather belt
  • 1x welding mask, in backpack
    Weapons:
  • 1x sledgehammer, carried
  • 1x Sturdy (but worn) pocketknife, in pocket
  • 1x carpenter's hammer, strapped to backpack
  • 1x hunting knife, sheathed and looped around his belt
    Other:
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • 1x large hiking backpack, filled to the brim with:
  • foodstuffs to last around three or four days (camping MREs, a few canned soups, dry goods such as jerky, saltines, and instant ramen)
  • water to last around three days (bottled + a full thermos)
  • 1x can opener
[*]1x Roxanne, his female Rottweiler pet
Skills:
  • Professional welder
  • Fountain of practical knowledge; knows how to fix anything from kitchen sinks to obscure and old vehicles
  • Rudimentary medical knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of firearm handling, cleaning, and a practised game hunter
  • Physically strong, able to lift extremely heavy/large objects that others would struggle with
  • Good brawler (from wrestling experience and bar fights while he was mourning)
  • Strong immune system
Weaknesses:
  • Big eater
  • Bad at stealth/extremely conspicuous due to his large size and weight
  • Stubborn
  • "Tough-it-out" mentality (though this could be considered a perk as well, depending on the situation.)
  • Loud (this wouldn't be a problem in the city, but in an area where peoples' guards are let down and strange things afoot...)
Accolades:
  • Man's Best Friend - Domesticated a dog

Personality: Frank, or rather "Big Frank" as everyone knew him back home, is a friendly, happy fellow known for his roaring belly-laughs and care-free, jovial nature. Despite the city around him going to high-hell and back, he tries not to let this affect him -- or at least that's how it seems to those around him. His positive demeanour and outlook on life does, however, have some downsides, as he can be a bit coarse for some and often says things that'd offend more "uptight sorts of folks." Frank is the kinda guy that, after coming home from work, cracks open a cold one and watches the game between the Broncs and the Cowboys, or maybe plays with the dog out back for a while. A staunch republican, he also "ain't the type to take no bullshit from hoity-toity city-slickers who think they know more than they actually do" and isn't afraid to stand for his personal beliefs when they're challenged. Yet overall, he's known to be a warm-hearted, all-American kinda guy. Reliable and hard-working to a fault, but also great with kids and animals

Likes: Guns, beer, A~M~E~R~I~C~A, the Minnesota Vikings, welding, hot girls, pick-up trucks, his dog, God, Jesus, barbecues.
Dislikes: Liberals, soft cityfolk, men who give wimpy handshakes, homosexuals, Muslims, people who you can't rely on.
Fears: Heights, losing Roxanne (his dog), forming more close bonds and losing people. Basically losing other people he cares about, which is now easy to do when you're fairly gregarious in a zombie apocalypse.

Biography: Born in Rawlins, Wyoming, to a conservative Lutheran family, Frank Hegland was never accustomed to city life. Rawlins was a small town, so small that you'd recognize most the people you'd see after leaving the house. It was a warm community full of kind-hearted people, so naturally a move to Chicago was jarring for the man (to say the least.) His early life was happy, spent with a loving father who he followed like a shadow. He learned a lot from his old man, and he taught Frank to be the honest, God-fearing guy that he is today.

Throughout middle and high school, Frank participated in his school's wrestling team and made a name for himself because of his height and weight. While he didn't win every match, he often learned from his mistakes until one day, a bad slip-up got the better of him and his knee was broken. A fractured knee takes a long time to repair itself, and while his healed correctly and no longer hinders him, it crushed Frank's dreams of joining the Army like his pop. Thus, Frank Hegland pursued his passion in welding, going down the path of education to attain a degree. After earning his associate's, Frank immediately found work for the next couple years in a car shop on the far-end of town. When the shop went under, a friend of his boss knew a guy who needed welders on some oil rigs up in Canada. Frank was sponsored for a visa and lived in the bitterly cold Yukon, making beaucoup bucks and freezing his ass off for another three years. He moved back to Wyoming after his contract was over, and with his newfound wealth, got a small place with a couple acres. He married his old high school sweetheart, Martha, and had two kids. He had everything he ever wanted. A home, a family, and even started up his own company and workshop, just kinda fixin' stuff for folks, from cars to generators to you name it. Life was good.

... Until Martha and the kids were hit by a drunk driver on the way home after baseball practice.

His entire family was ripped away from him, and it hit the once-happy man extremely hard. He prayed to God and Jesus, he cried and cried, and he eventually turned to the bottle because he found no other way to cope. It's one thing to read about that kind of shit in the news, but it's a completely different thing when it happens to you, and no one ever thinks it'll be their wife's or their kids' name in the local paper's obituary. Still, with the help of his other family, his friends, and especially the church's pastor, he realized his excess boozing and mopey lifestyle wasn't doing him any good. He had to move on and eke out a new way in life, or else he'd continue dragging himself in a cycle of anger and despair. The negative events that befell him changed his outlook and helped him grow as a person. So he travelled a bit, got a dog that he loves to bits and pieces, and moved on with life.

Through some recommendations from folks who knew him, Frank got in contact with a group called Avalon Construction, waaay out in Chicago, who needed skilled and experienced welders to help build high-rise housing complexes. It paid well, and was something new, so again Frank set off far from home; this time to the big city, to see what the future had in store for him.

Turns out, it was a crock of even more shit.

Prince Lodewijk sat, legs stretched out in the limousine, absolutely abhorring the dreaded humidity outside. How people could bare to reside in such a horrid climate was well beyond him. He anxiously awaited the moment he'd have to step out of his air-conditioned box and out into the sticky, wet hell that awaited his fifteen second walk into the hotel. Some might call him spoiled, but he'd just say he had high standards; he was the bloody prince of Rohst, one of the grandest empires to bless Aeia. He deserved no less. If only Baron von Redeln could've had his trip Aramas after this whole ordeal instead of before... Alas, Father thought this would be a good chance for Lodewijk to interact with foreign delegation in a setting outside the Royal Palace -- and it was!

He recalled his conversation with Father from the night before. He spoke of how Lodewijk had been groomed for rulership his entire life, and he'd shown great aptitude in management of civil affairs, but he did little more but greet outlander diplomats when they came to the Fatherland. If he was to be the gregarious face of the nation, he would need to train his silver tongue and tailor it to those from lands far away. Eyebrows were raised when Father inherited Krieslen, and all heads turned when he quickly turned the Wusten invasion straight back into their homeland, seizing Schmendorf just after a few months of decisive skirmishes. The Kingdom's actions were under even more scrutiny than ever before, and it was Lodewijk's duty to convince, bribe, and cajole them to turn their attention away, or at least better learn how to. Unlike the Prince, Father was a silent, stoic man who few dared question, with gravitas fit for two kings or emperors. Lodewijk was a pup -- prim, proper, suave and handsome, but unproven to the wider world. This was a chance to exercise his talents and show everybody who the destined heir Rohst was.

As the vehicle eased to a halt, the security detail preceding it were already exiting theirs. While the Midrasians were to provide their own armed units to protect any foreign representatives, due to rising world tensions, Father would not allow Lodewijk to travel alone. When a local hotel worker began approaching the Prince's limousine, one of the armed escort shot him a glare that sent him recoiling back into the hotel in an almost comical fashion. Another agent came and opened the door.

Gods, it was hot, even at 10:00 AM. Prince Lodewijk beared it until he made it inside.

Beia, what do you think about adding a crashed V-22 Osprey? They crash a lot but, it could have some military gear like body armor and guns. But it would have a lot of infected around it. It could be near Willis Tower too. I don't know it's just an idea.
