Assuming that the rest of the world isn't currently trying to actively quarantine the United States, a difficult task in its own right. It doesn't really make much sense for a STALKER type to be in Chicago since it isbasically landlocked within the Illinois aside from a body of water only really accessible from Ontario. which is probably overrun itself. Any characters showing up looking to get rich would more than likely stick to the coastal areas rather than head inland, much more dangerous and you are cutting yourself of from an escape vector.

Concerning missions, you are allowed some creative freedom so don't think you need OP approval for everything. NPC's can also be controlled without issue. When in doubt, ask in the OOC and I'll give an answer, or if you don't want to control an NPC I will do so but know that you'd be forced to wait for my response. Aside from a few missions most are here to give people something to do or write about as opposed to wandering aimlessly (but you can do that, too, if you want).

Biography: Hannah was born to converging lines of Iranian Refugees and Irish immigrants, in Evanston, Illinois. Her early life was rather normal, imaginary friends, time spent playing alone, and a wild imagination... Except it never really faded, soon becoming worse instead. By her 9th birthday, Hannah had been diagnosed with Chronic hallucinatory psychosis, a condition in which auditory, visual and sensory hallucinations are all but permanent. Despite the efforts of her father, himself a psychiatrist, Hannah never really got over the condition, her islamic faith somewhat tested all the while because of it.

She started taking medication for her condition, anti-psychotics, and throughout school she was comparatively normal. Although she didn't have anything too jarring or otherwise delusional happen, she still had episodes, voices whispering constantly, waking up to bodies hanging in her room, sights, feelings and sounds that simply weren't there. Regardless, she coped with it, managing to live a normal life, getting a job as a Tattoo Artist, a career she too endulged in, resulting in a self claim of being 'a horrible Muslim'.

And then the apocalypse struck. With her mainstay skill set now irrelevant, and all alone, she remains holding on to the medication she used to disregard, praying that it doesn't get bad enough to where she needs to take them, or have to guess between what's a hallucination, or what may actually attempt to eat her.

Biography: Born in a rough neighborhood in the middle of Indianapolis, Whitehorse had few prospects for the future being the poor kid he was. His father died of cardiac arrest when he was the young age of 11 and he inherited his prized Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He'd let it sit for a few years until he was 16, when he used it to try to fit in with a small local motorcycle gang of older kids. They accepted him rather quickly into the club, and Whitehorse fell into the bad crowd that was a small time Indianapolis motorcycle gang. As he grew older he noticed his fellow club members slowly move over into the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang, of which his group was a feeder into. He followed the tide and joined the Outlaws gang at the age of 21. Whitehorse fit in with the Outlaws rather well, and not going to college and being used to the rough life, he fit in rather well.

He'd garnered respect within the gang over the next few years, as he rode around the Midwest doing the various criminal jobs they did. He'd done a lot of bad things to a lot of not so bad people, however as much as he'd stolen and hurt, he'd never killed before. He was jailed several times and served a brief sentence in prison for theft. After a job gone wrong in Chicago, he'd been arrested and was off to court. However the events of the general collapse of man stalled the trial indefinitely, he'd gathered his things once more and made a failed attempt to find his fellow gang members. With the collapse of the quarantine and few ideas on a next move, he decided to get a drink, and is now holed up at the WestEnd bar for the time being.

During this time her parents split up, with her mother leaving for Chicago and her dad staying in Aspen. Maddi grew closer to her dad, but kept a loving relationship with her mother, visiting as often as she was allowed. When staying with her dad, Maddi would often join him for hunting trips and even joined a Venture scouting crew. This got her out of the house and while it took a while for her to start fitting in, she learned to love the experience. It was upon her first visit to Chicago that she discovered her spine chilling terror when faced with heights.

When she turned 18 she spent a few years working different jobs around Aspen before her mom convinced her to move to Chicago for school. School finished for the time being, until she started her master's next semester, she went to stay with her dad in Aspen. She enjoyed the respite from city life until the crisis started. She spent two weeks with her dad, sheltering in their isolated hamlet and hoping the worst would pass them by. But Madeline couldnt stop worrying for her mother, whom for all she knew was still in Chicago. With no news on the state of the nation and no way to contact her mom, Madeline, against the better judgement of her father, set out for the city in her own car.

Armed with her grandfather's rifle, a weapon she had used for hunting countless times as a child, and some supplies for the trip, she made it as far as Mendota sticking to back roads before her car's engine quit on her. In a huff, she abandoned the vehicle and carried on with her own two legs. She's spent the last week and a half picking her way into Chicago proper, where she now closes in on her mother's home in Brighton Park.

Main issue with the bio is his being in Chicago. Coming to do research on human behavior is something an undergrad in university would be doing for a thesis, not a sophomore, and, regardless, if you looked at the OP it mentions the date as being late-July to mid-August for the outbreak, so no school is in secession. Change that. Additionally, I expect skills learned from reading to be sub-par to skills learned by performing as there is a difference between knowing something and being capable at actually doing it. Lastly, if you could maybe flesh out the bio a bit more that would be nice. It's pretty anorexic looking. Looks more like a handful of sentences than a paragraph.

His life was less paycheck to paycheck than dose to dose, frequenting brothels and taking all sorts of illicit substances. At 20, his gang's safehouse was raided by police and in the ensuing firefight, his brother died. Jonathan was arrested and served time in jail, where he met a preacher named Dedrick Joseph who managed to turn him to a life of god. From then on, his life was completely different. He volunteered at a church and was eventually ordained after study at a local bible college. He became a fiery urban preacher, speaking about his life in sin and how god had shown him the path to salvation. He had made it his mission to save every soul on earth. When the disease began to spread, Jonathan had a vision he attributed to god, which told him that this was satan's invasion of earth and that god had entrusted him with the fate of america. He now attempts to muster a force to purify america into his ideal christian utopia.

Increased physical strength, heightened awareness, all that jazz would work. Doesn't have to be something dramatic, it can be just a small thing that gives them an edge.
