Biography Vincent Salatore was born in Brooklyn, NY to a poor, working class family. At a young age, he become associated with the mob, acting as an errand boy. For a poor kid, seeing the guys living the “life” essentially served as its own sales pitch. Money, women, and respect were the norm for these folks. They did whatever they wanted. Vincent spent years as the errand boy, running packages, messages, and other menial tasks. However, as he got older, he became more involved. Shakedowns, collections, and such became the norm. Hijacking and narcotics, however, are what really made Vincent an earner. Stealing trucks and selling drugs made Vincent a serious earner and the higher ups took notice. At 19 years, he was made.

Once he became made, he continued to earn while solidifying his position within the hierarchy of the family. Friends were made, enemies were buried, and money kept being brought in. Vincent began to solidify his reputation as a ruthless, no nonsense businessman who would eat dinner at your house and burn it down the next day if that’s what was necessary. He was bringing in a tremendous amount of money for the bosses, and consequently he rose through the ranks of the family.

Vincent’s acendance didn’t go unnoticed, however. Not all of the families were keen on the idea of a prominent member running dope through NYC. The resulting uneasiness culminated in an attempted hit, contracted by the Gambino family. A short lived outbreak of violence between the families erupted, with Vincent’s retaliation coming in the form of a string of execution style killings against the triggermen of his own would be assassination. To keep the peace, the bosses decided that in exchange for Castellano lifting the order on Vincent’s life, he would be relocated out of New York. They sent him to Miami to head the mobs efforts in the city.

In Miami, Vincent was in charge and free to expand the narcotics operation without fear of being marked by one of the five families, as long as he kept kicking back a healthy share of the take. As the top dog in the city, he quickly consolidated his hold. The “competition” either sold out or disappeared, with a good number of competing “kingpins” winding up in the swamps. Connections were forged with the Colombians and Vincent quickly became the biggest Coke “enterprise” on the eastern seaboard, controlling the flow of the drug across the east coast. This went on for about a decade, but eventually the Colombians started to face pressure from their own country, disrupting the supply. While the commodity kept coming in, it was becoming more expensive and risky to bring into the country. As a result, Vincent turned to the Mexican cartels to find an alternative supplier. The bosses, less than enthused with the “lighter” bags they’ve been reviewing each month, have insisted that Vincent make his way to El Paso to establish the connection. While normally Vincent would have a trusted lieutenant handle such matters, when the bosses insist you do whatever they’ve requested. Doing otherwise is a solid, surefire way to wind up in a river. Vincent made his way to El Paso, with a meeting set up between himself and “El Olso” Chávez. Unfortunately, the cartel big fish wound up dead, 3 days prior the scheduled meet. Vincent, however, has no plan to return home until he’s accomplished what he needed done, regardless of the fact the original potential “partner” ate a DEA bullet.

DENIED. This application has some major issues that really make it unacceptable.
1: It misses the mark and really puts itself in opposition to the style and aesthetic of the RP.
2: your character is far to well connected and important, I dont want that level of influence being brought by a character. This collaborative story is to detail a group of criminals attempts to figure out who has set up their boss.
3: your character isn't part of the group and thus outs in de tbe scope of the character base for this RP.

Name: Joshua “Holy Light” Sawyer
Age: 32
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Apperance:

Personal Weapon: Colt Python, Butterfly Knife
Criminal Record
  • Several Cases of Armed Robbery
  • Drug Running
  • Grand Theft Auto
Biography:
Born to Robert Sawyer and his wife Clara, Joshua was born and raised in Kansas City. However, due to a string of bad luck with stocks, the family was forced to move to Texas where they would Joshua’s father would become a banker.

For a while things were peaceful, Joshua was doing very well in school, and his father had finally dug himself out of the gutter. However, what Joshua didn’t know was that his father had gotten involved in illegal activities. Robert’s brother-in-law, Clark had been a part of Chávez’s cartel for a couple of years. He came to Robert to start a little money laundering. But soon enough, more and more money kept coming in. The stress of being caught finally broke Clark and he wanted out. That however, wasn’t the worst choice he made.

Robert went directly to the boss to tell him he wanted out. Only to find himself being gun downed alongside Clark at a roadblock. Word of Robert and Clark’s deaths would reach Joshua and his mother. The cartel had bribed the cops to cover up the attack as engine failure. Clara knew better, and had several arguments with her husband over the illegal deals. She kept it a secret for ten more years, until Joshua graduated from high school.

Joshua got through high school with little to no issue beside getting in some fights. Once his mother revealed the truth to him, Joshua changed his career path from being a Spanish teacher to criminal justice. He moved to Texas and shortly later enrolled at St. Mary’s University. It was there that he earned a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and an undergraduate in Spanish.

Upon graduation he applied to the DEA. Upon completing all the tests, he was finally hired as a DEA Special Agent. Following that he would receive his training and spend the next two years working minor locations. He would bust several smugglers near the border before being contacted to infiltrate the same cartel that killed his family. From then he would serve the cartel for three years, participating in drug running and various other crimes. He would eventually even begin working directly for the boss on some jobs within the last year.

Suddenly, the boss died in a DEA raid. The DEA in order to keep another agent’s identity secret, did not inform Joshua that there was another agent. Now with the cartel in disarray, word has begun to spread over who should take over. Joshua now not only has to worry about his own secret, but also making sure that the other agent is safe as well.

Notes: Has a girlfriend he’s been dating for a few months. She is not aware that he is either part of the cartel or a DEA agent.

I figured that since the OP is probably playing/going to control the DEA agent that got the boss killed, I thought it would be interesting to have another agent who just now found out there was an agent other than him.

Personal Weapon: Beretta 92FS
Criminal Record N/A
Biography

Born in El Paso, his parents were working-class, laborers and hard-workers. But the childhood life proved to be too hard on him, and he channeled those hardness to fights, he became rather aggressive and reckless. A bully and a jock, at the same time. Though he has a bright spot in sport as he was a good football athlete, the death of his father and his three young siblings put him into work, which put him off after graduation. It wasn't long before he enlisted into the military to find a better career ahead.

He never went into combat experience, though. He spent his career up until dishonorable discharge due to too many fights with the rank of Sergeant. He was 27 back then. Fortunately, he found a job at the criminal group that transferred drugs from Mexico and to Mexico, likewise the same with USA. Though he first worked as simple soldier, his military experience proved to be useful and he subsequently got a higher rank in security, though it was hampered due to his race.
