Day of New Hampshire Primaries

Egilson and his camp had just moved to New York. Egilson had insisted that he sleep with the rest of the staff on the new campaign bus this time, just to get to know the interns and introduce them to his live stream, so he was a little tired. Because they were so excited meeting him and tweeting about him, his interns were also incredibly tired. Still, New York arrived faster than it seemed, and people got straight to work. Egilson hadn't even given New Hampshire much of a thought, considering that several dozen states were now just weeks away, and he needed to focus on all of them, simultaneously. Starting with one of the biggest in the Union.

The following Sunday, he was going to have a back-to-back fundraiser and campaign rally. New York had some of the wealthiest people in the nation, after all, especially the heirs of the Trump dynasty. Their support would mean enough Republicans to turn the tide of any New York primary, and their money could win him the rest of the nation. Well, at least five thousand dollars; that was the maximum individual campaign limit.

He was sitting in front of his computer. He was tired, but jet lag was getting the better of him, and he'd be up three hours later than he should. Out of curiosity, he decided to turn on the news for the New Hampshire primary, just as his staff from DC had just arrived, upon his invitation. The polls were incredibly close, up until the final vote.

And Egilson beat Wright. The slimmest of margins, but that was enough. "Quick, get everyone who's awake enough; we're going to Concord!"

There were a number of groggy interns, but they brightened up when they heard the news. The live stream was up, and Benjamin announced the news. The fan sites pierced through the already-chaotic social media buzz, and hundreds arrived outside the state capitol building.

Egilson had worked on a brief speech for the couple hours it took to get there, but he made it just before midnight. "New Hampshire! It is great to see you all tonight!"

There was a good huzzah from the people around him. "First off, I would like to thank you all for your dedication and support. It is the economically accelerating, ambitious states like New Hampshire that will boost our economy past China, and reclaim our title as the economic king of the world! I know that you feel like the world has been driven towards the degradation of society. I understand that you don't feel like New Hampshire will have much of a say in the upcoming generals. I will say this, though: you have announced to the whole nation your intention tonight! You choose to uphold your beliefs, at home and abroad! A free market where backwaters become economic hubs, where families support and care for one another. I march forward, with those beliefs as my banner. I choose to represent you, if you will have me! I... we stand firm for what we believe!"

There were a few good clips from local news sources, which were purchased and put in advertisements nationwide. Egilson spent the night in Concord and returned to New York the next day.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

3 takeaways from the Republican debate
www.cnn.com

By Eric Bradner, CNN
Updated 7:01 AM ET, Sun March 3, 2052

SOUTH CAROLINA — The Republican debate in Greenville, South Carolina, on CBS Saturday night came just a few days before Super Tuesday, and a few weeks after Democrats in the deep red state of New Hampshire outnumbered Republicans in the primary. But the disappointing turnout did not prevent candidates from some of their sharpest charges yet.

They leveled personal attacks on issues ranging from immigration to foreign policy to China as the race intensified ahead of Super Tuesday this week.

They repeatedly interrupted and talked over one another, and made disparaging comments. There were duels between Libertarian Congressman Ben Egilson, New Hampshire Senator Theodore Whitehorse, New Mexico Mayor Ginger Caulfield, and billionaire businessman Carter J. Fox throughout the night. Here are three takeaways.

1. The economy matters
It's clear what most of the candidates consider the most important question for America today — what will the economy look like tomorrow? With business, the economy, and the budget taking up almost half the debate, most of the candidates stressed their prior experience in the private sector as one of their major qualifications for the highest office.

Caulfield's "three E's" may have garnered some eye-rolls, but she triggered a long ovation — especially from women — when she said that "The way forward is to choose a strong, stable, leader who knows the economics of America, first-hand. I don't only have state treasurer in my history, but I am also a business owner — and a mother."

Whitehorse, who's been slipping in funding and almost came last in his home state of New Hampshire, tried to distract from his largely political background by speaking at length about background information and his experience in the Senate. Egilson made a pointed but subtle remark that drew some laughs from the crowd — "I don’t think my compatriots have the foresight or expertise to implement this vision, save for minor tax cuts."

2. Egilson is the conservative
While he may not even be a member of the Republican Party, Egilson is staking himself out as the true conservative, maybe to compensate. While Wright gave what Danielle Wallace called "typical, uninspiring liberal diatribe" and Caulfield firmly defended her more centrist values, Egilson came out swinging against regulation and public spending. Opposing renationalizing Social Security, supporting the privatization of healthcare, and announcing plans to deregulate business and the environment, the Congressman distinguished himself from his opponents.

Caulfield pushed back, heating up the debate and dividing the crowd. "American seniors have earned our gratitude for a lifetime of hard work in service to our families, our communities, and our country. They have helped make America the strong and prosperous country that it is today, and they deserve to enjoy their senior years in dignity and financial security." And on guns, she said, "Everyone has the right to own a gun, but it is, and should always be a privilege" — only to be interrupted by Egilson: "My advocacy is more sound because it’s real."

3. Experience doesn't matter
Senator Whitehorse might have been the favorite to win had he run eight years ago. Today, however, his experience isn't getting him far. Mentioning the expertise from committees he serves on and his decades of experience in public service elicited laughter, at some points, from the crowd and from other candidates. And Wright, another Senator, failed to excite the audience, with viewers at home agreeing that the debates that most interested them were between Caulfield, Egilson, and Fox.

This played out when the candidates had little to say about foreign policy, and on immigration Egilson immediately yielded his time back to the moderator with almost nothing to say at all. Fox issued his share of insults, heating up the debate stage, but also hit trouble when discussing the specifics of his policy.

CNN will be polling in all the Super Tuesday states as the day approaches.

Highlights from the Democratic debate
www.washingtonpost.com

By Chris Cillizza, Washington Post
Updated 7:01 AM ET, Sat March 2, 2052

NEVADA — Governor Tom Brae suspended his campaign last week after a disappointing show in New Hampshire and problems with fundraising following, leaving California Premier Theo Guess and Oregon Governor Richard Faulkner to go head to head at Friday's presidential debate before Super Tuesday. Here are some highlights:

Faulkner: "We need to end Fischer's dangerous, isolationist foreign policy, that puts the world at risk. I'm a Democrat because I believe in the tradition of great Democratic presidents, like Truman, Kennedy and Obama, who gave the United States an active role in the world, and promoted democracy and liberty across it. We get to enjoy freedom, and we should be using our freedom to spread it elsewhere."

Guess: "As the world becomes more and more peaceful, the more we need to focus on Soft Power because of its newfound power."

Faulkner: "On my platform I list two key areas I'd like to create jobs in: manufacturing and the space industry. For decades the USA lead the world in manufacturing, and for decades since candidates have promised to bring it back (and done nothing). I won't do nothing. I will not bring back manufacturing jobs, I will create NEW ones instead."

Guess: "Privatized Social False-Hope has lead to more problems than we ever had to tackle when it was nationalized... It's time we bring ourselves into the modern world and make healthcare a human right nationwide!"

Faulkner: "I don't know much about social security, but one thing I do know is that we can't trust social security to be reformed or even administrated by that hard left socialist Theodore Guess. He is out in the open advocating nationalization of social security, I don't want that. I want an investigation into what's best and most affordable for social security and the country as a whole. We can't keep expanding the size and role government without proof that it will work."

Manchester, New Hampshire

"We did very well my friends. We're projected 9 out of 24 delegates, nothing to worry about. That's a solid result, and combined with our result in the state of Iowa, we still hold onto our lead, with 37 delegates. It's not much just now, but let me tell you folks, we will push forward, and we will continue to win, win, win, just like how an America without Fischer would do on the international stage. I leave for Nevada tonight, and in less than two weeks tonight, hopefully we will be able to find out that I've continue my winning streak. I wasn't the best to New Hampshire, stuff came up and I was only able to meet some of you, and do a couple of rallies, but when we win this nomination, I pledge that I will come back here, I will mount a strong campaign in this state, and when November comes around, together we will win New Hampshire! Thank you and God Bless the United States!"

Richard Faulkner Campaign Announcement | Sunday

The Faulkner Campaign is proud to release a new platform policy regarding illegal immigration. Richard Faulkner is a believer in amnesty, and plans to give all undocumented migrants full citizenship to the United States. Faulkner told us: "Many on the social right like to peddle this myth that undocumented immigrants are a burden on the economy. I reject that. I met with many undocumented migrants in my life, and they were all hard working people. If we gave them all full citizenship to this country, the economic results would be tremendous. I'm a proud Christian, and I know that Jesus would never brake up a family, so neither will I."

Statement from the Theo Guess Campaign | Monday

I would personally like to applaud Governor Faulkner for making his position on undocumented immigrants clear. Much like the environment, we are both in agreement that undocumented immigrants presently in the country should be granted citizenship and are not a burden to our country.
I have been saying this since I began running for the office of President, and even though we disagree on most of the issues, I am proud to say that either Faulkner of myself, the next Democratic Nominee shall be a supporter of the Environment and of Amnesty.

The following is a posted recording between Benjamin Egilson and Eric Egilson, posted with the permission of both parties.

"So, Father, I know you're not a drinker, but..."
<laughter> "Yeah, I know. God has blessed this campaign, indeed."
"So I have a few notes."
"Yeah, I know, this is no time to slouch; I still need the mindset that I'm behind."
"You need 337 votes to ensure victory. California doesn't split votes, and I'm certain your experience there is enough to win them over. I'll worry about California myself, but I'm certain that that's an easy 225 delegates in the bag. Push New York. You talked with the Trumps; get their support. Push Arizona; it doesn't split delegates, and you'll need their votes. Next, Pennsylvania, and from there touch on as many states as you can. That's my battle strategy. From there, this primary should be more than set. Don't lose your guard, but still..."
"I understand. Thanks, Eric, for crunching the numbers."
"No problem. Anything fun happen at work today?"
"There's a big American-made gaming subsidy that the Republicans seem compelled to pass, and I can't for the life of me see why they want me to support it, nor can I see how I could ever support such a big shift in resources. It doesn't help anything in the economy; it just shifts wealth to all the wrong places. Perhaps the Republicans want to be 'hip with the kids.'"
"Probably. Now for the more important stuff. So, I looked at the numbers. Your race with Wright is scattered all over the place, but the Democrat primary is insanely regionalized. And guess who swept through pretty much all the predicted swing states?"
"...You've been saving that ever since he announced, didn't you?"
"Oh, totally. If you make out of the primaries alive, and Guess wins, you're going to be fighting a massive uphill battle."
"Yeah, he's is one of the few candidates who could (heck, probably would) do some massive damage."
"So my recommendation is reaching out to both sides in the South. You have a bunch of loyal Texans, but you'll want to get the rest of the South. That, or just abandon the South entirely, and focus on the coastlines."
"Well, I guess I could put those Spanish classes to use, for once."
"Sure, shoot a couple commercials in Spanish, then take some photo ops with you shooting at a gun range. Something to like for everyone, and you can get the title of mediator for the rest of the states."
"Or the integrator. That's something I've supported for a while, since back when it was an interesting topic."
"And that's the bulk of my notes. Congratulations, Dad. We're rooting for you back here in California."
"Thanks, son. Say, is your mother on the phone?"

Sacremento, CA
Guess 2052 Headquarters
6:11 AM, Day after Super Tuesday

A camera was set up to record Theo and his victory message coming out of Super Tuesday.

Theo sat in a leather recliner in front of a map, with red for himself and blue for Faulkner colored into the states that have voted so far. His hair was messy, his glasses nowhere to be seen, and the redness of his eyes and his cheeks indicated he has marijuana in his system: most likely from the all-night party that has now dying down, and he is in a post-coitus state: Party, Celebration, Soon to be Married Couple in Love, etc.

"I would like to thank the great people from the great states of Massachusetts, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennesse, Texas, Washington, Idaho, South Dakota, Minnesota, and the soon to be Unincorporated Organized Territory of American Samoa! Thank you for voting for so much so, I've won your states and they now get to be drawn in with my color, red, on the Primary Map! Now to the people of the states, I lost. You put up a good fight, and even though I lost where you live, you still all helped me in the quest to get delegates!

I want to thank all of you... So thank you so very much! And know in November, you'll be seeing President-Elect Guess!" This voice and demeanor were relaxed as a whole through the message. Although he was able to shift his body language and emotion at the drop of a dime during this message, noticeably dropping all emotion from his voice when he said red.

The camera stopped recording and Theo got up from his recliner, walking into the next room. It was very clear that a party had been going on all night, at this point only the people integral to the Guess Campaign were still in the building. The all were in the general vicinity of a whiteboard and table.

"So!" Guess yelled out as he entered the room, "Mohamed, whats the plan now?!" Theo asked

"Well, you won a lot more states than we thought, we didn't think you were gonna sweep the south for one, let me just say thank Allah Brae dropped out."

"Right, before last night we where mainly gonna rely on winning California to take us to the general, but now I'm only 363 delegates from winning the nomination." Guess interjected.

"Which we're practically guaranteed to get from California," Eric said.

"So the question is, should we let Faulkner fight to his inevitable death or offer him a way out while presenting a united party to the people? I say we take it to a vote. Mohamed, as my Cheif of Staff, you first."

"If you can get him on our team he could be a useful ally, he almost won Washington and he'll probably win Oregon, two potential swing states he could help you win. Not to mention Colorado, Oklahoma, and Virginia."

"Shannon, you haven't spoken much since the party ended, you next."

"It would certainly help with our funding, sure you won some of the southern swing states handily, but some were still close. With Faulkner on your side, we could pivot to the General early, lowering our cost and giving you a bit of a lead. We could also see if he'd be willing to transfer any of his funds over to you if he accepts."

"And I already know how Eric feels, so it's settled then. I'll write up a letter. And what about Wright now, it's clear I'll probably be going against Egilson, so if we could get Wright to fracture his party, I could get more votes in the general, we could get so much closer to a win in the general."

"I think we should keep that option for the future, we'll have to wait for Wright to lose first, then we can offer him Secretary of Labor, or Commerce, or Technology." Said Mohamed.

"Agreed!" Yelled Theo, "Now, do we all want to crash here for the rest of the day or go home?"

Dear Mr. Faulkner,

There are very few things we agree on. Which, to say the least of it, is very natural. We are on the two opposite sides of our party, you to the right and I to the left. However, throughout our careers, we have both fought for the environment. Remeber, for instance, when we were just Senator Faulkner and Senator Guess and we co-sponsored the Environmental Protection Bill of 2039. Remeber the speech we made when we had to convince the Republicans to vote for it, "If two people on the opposite sides of one party and agree that the environment is our most important resource, why can't the party that opposes us?"

What I'm getting at here is, I'd like to invite you into my Cabinet. You would make the finest Secretary of the Interior this nation has ever seen! The reason I make this offer is this, I will win California. It's a simple fact, they've have voted me into their top office 3 times, they allowed me to create a state with a Semi-Parliamentary System. They love me, and they don't like you nearly as much. Even if I lose every other state, all I need to do to win the nomination is to win California.

If you do somehow beat me to the nomination, you're probably going to be facing Representative Egilson. Whom, according to the polls, could come deadly close to tieing with you in the popular vote. Then three things could happen, you could lose the electoral college, he could lose the electoral college, or you both tie and the vote from President goes to the states in the form of the House. There are a lot more Republican states than Democratic ones in the House. That's a one in three chance you win.

So, what if you lose? You would have been politically murdered, you lost the presidency, there's no way you could come back from that. And what if you lose the Primary, you'll be politically dead. You're a Former Governor, while I still have two more years before the next planned election for Premier, which I could run for re-election if I wanted to.

So, I ask you to drop out of the race and endorse me. I ask you to unite our party so we can win the General. I ask you to campaign with me as allies. In return, you can finally protect the Environment the way we both know it should be protected.

Signed, Premier Theodore Guess

"I'll be honest with you all. Super Tuesday did not go as well as planned. We made a lot of losses in key states, such as the Deep South, Florida and Washington. We can still push forward. There are major states left that are still up for grabs, such as California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio. If we can push forward together and perform well in those states, we can stop Guess from winning the nomination. We've built a strong campaign so far, and for as long as I can, I will fight for the Democratic Party's true values, and stop this radical leftist in his path. There's 537 delegates left to win from the primaries, and I need 672 delegates. It looks impossible, but we can still do this. I don't want to be a pessimistic primary candidate, I wanna be an optimistic presidential candidate. It's why I ran, and it's why I will continue to run. I will defend the Democratic Party, and I will defend America. God Bless the United States!"

"That's a damn long list." Faulkner exclaimed. "How the hell are we gonna hit every one of those cities between now and the end of May? There's 30 of them, that's about a city every two days. Do we have the money to hold rallies in even a quarter of them?"
"We have constant meetings with potential financiers and sponsors sir. We're able to get places to hold small rallies very cheap, and in Oregon practically all of them are open to doing it for free. We're looking at gaining some endorsements as well, and setting up fundraising dinners in New York, Michigan, Arizona and Indiana during the course of this to boost our funds. As well as that, we have a steady stream of donations coming in, and affiliated Super PACs are pumping out advertisements and posters in all of our target states."
"All of our target states? So in every state. If our finances are fine, we can still mount a campaign, that's all that matters."
"Absolutely sir. Cooke is waiting for you in Peoria, he got a couple speechwriters to write good speeches focusing on certain fields: foreign policy, the economy and immigration mainly. He recommend holding onto the immigration one, we'll need to perform above expectations in California."

Wright Campaign Schedule
Sunday: Campaign Rally in Sacramento, California
Monday: Campaign Rally in Topeka, Kansas. Speech attacking Egilson and supporting the Second Amendment.
Tuesday: Campaign Rally in Phoenix, Arizona. Giving Speech in support of Amnesty. New Campaign Ad “Never Surrender.” Released
Wednesday: Campaign Rally in Los Angeles, California. Giving Speech attacking Egilson.
Thursday: Campaign Rally in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Giving speech on Puerto Rican Statehood.
Friday: Campaign Rally in Salt Lake City, Utah. Giving Speech about his Pro-Life values
Saturday: Interview on “Special Report.”

Wright waited patiently for his time to speak. He could hear a distant muffle of General Aaron Johnson speaking. The only words he could make out that he could be saying we’re “honorable” “wonderful” and “trustworthy”

Suddenly, an aid came in and put a newspaper on his desk. “In case you need it, boss.” Wright looked down at it, “Egilson Wins Super Tuesday.” He slams the paper on his desk, getting redder and redder.

As soon as Wright was getting ready to curse out the nearest aid, his wife came in and was able to calm him down.

“Honey, you’re going to do great.”

“I’m not afraid that I’m going to do bad, I’m afraid that I could’ve done better.”

“Gary, you know you can’t change that.”

“I know, but I wish I could do better. Now, if Egilson wins California, he has the race in the bag.”

“Gary, if the people of California see you as I see you, they will vote for you no matter what!”

“Thanks honey.”

“An aid then cued Wright that he would be on in 5. He got up and wiped off his shoulders, and took deep breaths. “Here we go” he said.

After the General was done speaking, he walked on. The song No Surrender plays as he shakes hands with General Johnson and he begins to trade words with him. Over the sound of the music and applause, he could only hear him say “I have high hopes, good luck!” After that, he walked up to his podium and waited for the audience to settle.

“Good evening, people of Los Angeles and thank you for coming to my rally and not supporting the tool known as Egilson. You all know what Egilson represents, right? If you were about to say California, you’re wrong. He doesn’t represent you guys, he represents Washington D. C. and all the other tools that he’s friends with. He has never met any of you. He probably doesn’t even know that many people in his district. When it comes to California, he knows no one and he cares about nothing that you care about!”

The crowd roared in applause and began chanting “Egilsons Not Wright” over and over. All Wright could do was smile to everyone and say “thank you to the audience.” He began to quiet the audience down and continue.

“As you all know, Egilson is not the man for you. Now some of you might say well that’s not enough to sway me. Well let me tell you this, Egilson is not a true Republican, he is a libertarian cleaned up and dressed as a Republican in order to attempt to fool you. Meanwhile, I have been a registered republican my whole life! So who do you trust, California. The Chameleon who pretends to be a Republican as well as pretends to know you, but doesn’t, or the man who has volunteered as a Republican his whole life and has never tried to deceive you and helps you. Thank you California, and goodnight!”

The audience applauded as he got off stage and shook hands with the audience. He seemed happier than before his speech. The people of California seemed to like him. He began to think about what his wife said and for the last couple of days, he felt calm.

Transcript from a Rally in San Juan, PR. Translated from Spanish.
"The people of Puerto Rico have made it clear time and time again, Puerto Rico should be a state in the union! For every referendum held since 2017, statehood wins. For every Governor's Election since 2016, the people have voted the New Progressive Party into power! Yet, Congress refuses to listen... They don't want to hear it, they don't care about Puerto Rico or it's people. Well, I do, the people of Puerto Rico want Statehood, the people of the mainland what Puerto Rican Statehood, the only thing holding Puerto Rico back is Congress and a President. As President, I will force Congress to admit Puerto Rico as a state if I have too. For the will of the people is the way.

Transcript from a Spanish Radio Station airing in San Deigo, Phoenix, Tucson, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces. Translated from Spanish.
Guess: Why does Faulkner only now issue his thoughts on undocumented immigrants?

Host: I think it has to do with votes. California loves you, you are engrossed in Hispanic Culture. So you were bound to win Texas as soon as Brae left the race.

Guess: Yes, yes. But, I think it had more to do with getting more votes. He somehow thinks he can win votes from Hispanic California's just for being the second person to want to Amnesty to undocumented immigrants. I've been arguing for that cause for years, I've passed laws that protect the undocumented. Now, he shows up a few days ago saying he supports that too! I don't think the people of this state are that dumb, but apparently, he does.

Host: Ah, and what do you think of Egilson's new strategy by speaking Spanish.

Guess: I can't stand listening to him in Spanish. It's way too broken for me to make much sense of what he's saying. If anything, I think it will hurt him in the end.

Host: Do you think he'll win California?

Guess: Ya, but it will be much closer than it would have been if he never bothered to try with the Spanish. At this point in the race, if the candidate hasn't proven he knows Spanish, or any other language for that matter, before it just seems like blatant pandering.

Host: Well that's all the time with have, it's been a pleasure Mr. Guess, where rooting for you.

Guess: Thank you, and the pleasure was all mine, I love doing this kind of thing.

"Hey, everyone. I had an idea last night, and I really wanted to share it with you. See, I have a bunch of campaign material, but it all feels really samey, and I need to broaden my scope, especially if I move on to a fight against Guess or Faulkner. So, I present to you a challenge. If you want to, make a presidential campaign advertisement for me by the end of the business week. By the end of the next weekend, we'll be buying the top three from their creators for five thousand dollars apiece. We will then use those in our actual campaign. Please leave mudslinging out of it, but any of my quotes are fair game. Legal stuff is in the description. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does by the end of the week!"

"I hope you're all having a nice Sunday, everyone. Our team, myself included, looked over hundreds of high-quality videos over the weekend. Before I announce the winners, I just wanted to show you one that I came across. The creator clearly doesn't like me, but I got a bunch of good laughs watching it. It's real well made. Anyways, here it is."

A couple are hunched over their tables, in a worried state. The husband speaks. "These bills... These taxes... we can't pay this with dead-end jobs... if only there was someone who could save us from our financial woes!"
At that moment, a caped blonde man crashes through the roof. "I can solve your problems!"
"Holy cannoli! It's Benjamin 'Give Us the Nuclear Codes' Egilson!"
"Indeed, and I'm here to fix your financial problems!"
"Through reasonable insurance and subsidies?"
"No! You need family values!"
"Of course! Why didn't we think of that before!"
The superhero throws a copy of the Bible at the two. It hits the man on the forehead, and he falls to the ground unconscious.
"Bless you, Benjamin! Without you, how would I have ever have known about being a mother?" declared the woman.
"Oh, and one last thing," said the blonde. "Now that you know about family values, it's time that you had a family!" He snaps his fingers, and the camera cuts back to a the woman, who is now six months pregnant.
"Wow! Benjamin Egilson made me pregnant! Thank you!"
"Happy to help, ma'am!" The superhero shoots back through the roof as his theme song (which is just a bunch of people singing "Egilson" on repeat) plays and is brought to the foreground.

"Yeah, I enjoyed that one way too much. Anyways, this is our first winner, titled, "Fallen Empire":

A woman stands alone on an Atlantic shore. The shore is barren, but as the man speaks buildings begin to develop behind him, going from colonial to futuristic as time progresses.
"Most say that the United States is a fallen empire. They say that we had a good run at a century or so, and they thank us for stopping the Nazis in World War II. 'Well, good job for making the world a freer place, or, well, it's the sentiment that counts,' they say. There are millions of citizens across the nation who refuse that sentiment. Our country was built by people who bore their problems and pushed onward, went to work in the rain. Men and women who would jump at the slightest chance and set out to make a name for themselves. There are just as many people in this nation now. We are biding our time, and soon we will surpass our rivals once more. The mere sight of our prosperity toppled the worst regimes in world history, and it shall do so again. The United States of America is no fallen empire. We have yet to reclaim our most glorious days."

"Beautiful. There are more to come. Stay tuned!"

Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois

"...But before I leave the stage, I'd like to thank you all for coming out here, so please give a round of applause, to the next president of our United States, Governor Richard Faulkner!"

"First of all I'd like to thank Mayor Gardner for speaking there and introducing me. The city of Chicago has a bad reputation around America, and it's one that I completely reject. Chicago is a beautiful city with a long history and is known all over the world, yet for a while, crime and poverty have engulfed the city. Chicago is just one of many inner-cities that has been plagued with these two issues - and at the root of it is the lack of support from the federal and state governments to properly deal with the issue. We need to revitalise our inner-cities, through smart investments to create initial jobs and infrastructure, which in turn are attractive to larger businesses, who will seek to invest in the cities more. Ask any sociologist and they'll tell you that poverty is a leading cause in crime, and that's why we can't just target crime, we need to target the root cause of it. Inner cities are filled with hard working people, yet because of the conditions and opportunities, they don't get much out of that hard work. Many, many years ago, before I was even born, inner cities were where factories were. My grandfather lived in Cleveland, it used to have a nice little manufacturing industry. Inner cities were nice places back then, but like many other cities at the time, manufacturing began to decline, and we lost our jobs to other countries, and as the manufacturing industry fell, so did the inner city. This is my justification for my plan: invest in jobs, infrastructure and schools, create tax incentives for businesses to further move in to the area, and properly fund the police to not just punish criminals, but to rehabilitate them, so that when they leave prison, they're able to find themselves a job and turn their life around. That's the American dream that my ancestors lived, and that's the American dream that we can bring back!"

Faulkner continued to talk, discussing the issues of the inner city and inviting Chicago residents up on stage to speak about the issues they face. After that, he changed the subject.

"...I'm sure you all heard of Theo Guess' remarks about my immigration policy. It's an absolute joke? He says I only care about amnesty to migrants for votes. He totally ignored my justification for it, it's insulting. I've worked with Hispanics all my professional life, and I don't just view them as voters, I view them as fellow citizens and inhabitants of this great country. Then his comments about Egilson speaking Spanish. There's nothing wrong with that, it's reaching out to Spanish speakers. There are many people in this country who struggle with English, and he is extending a hand to them like a presidential candidate should. I like to think I speak Chinese pretty good, y yo también hablo español, pero es bastante malo, y es Castellano, no Latinoamericano. ¿Me insultará? Espero que no. I wouldn't want to debate him in Spanish because I don't doubt his Spanish is better than mine, but it's downright rude for him to insult another candidate's language skills. It's hard to learn another language, I appreciate when people try their best to speak English to me, and I know for a fact many foreigners I've talked to appreciate my efforts to speak Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. It's his last resort because he fears the last minute resurgence that we are going to pull off."

Wright Campaign Schedule
Sunday: Campaign Rally in Peoria, Illinois. Speech on Economic Recovery.
Monday: Campaign Rally in Chicago, Illinois. Speech on Destroying Partisanship. Meeting with campaign contributors
Tuesday: Campaign Rally in Mesa, Arizona. Speech on Amnesty of Immigrants.
Wednesday: Campaign Rally in New York City, New York. Speech on the death penalty. Meeting with campaign contributors
Thursday: Campaign Rally in Albany, New York. Speech on the future of America.
Friday: Campaign Raly in Washington D.C.. Speech on nonpartisanship
Saturday: Campaign Rally in San Diego, California. Speech on minority and LGBTQ+ rights. Meeting with campaign donors

”Good Evening, Sir.” A local campaign volunteer, about 17 years old, said.

“Good Evening to you too, kid.” Said Wright, getting his newspaper from the volunteer.

“Kid, What’s your name?”

“Daniel.” He said “Why sir?”

“I wanted to ask you a question, Daniel.” He responded before taking a sip of joe and continuing. “You know New York. I have a question, the people of New York that you know, are they Explosive Egilsons or Wright men?”

“Well it really depends, sir.” “People in New York City seem to like you. However, country whites and mildly populous cities like these are quite split about you.”

“Well, they won’t be after tonight.”

He then left the room after he got a cue that he was on in 5. He walked backstage and saw former New York Governor Terry Jackson giving his endorsement. Cheers we’re all around after he ended his speech. Wright walked onstage confidently, the song Won’t Back Down by Tom Petty plays as he walks on. He shakes hands with the Governor and walks up to his podium, giving his speech.

Good Evening, people of New York. Thank you for coming to this rally today and showing your support of the Wright Guy in this election. We are currently at a deciding election on the future of America. We can either go far ahead in the future and continue to be a major power, or we could hit another Great Depression. There are a lot of people who are debating on who could do either, and it is very hard to tell with the other candidates. Egilson has a hands off economic policy similar to Hoover, and the democrats are disunited and cannot work to a decision. Meanwhile Faulkner isn’t powerful enough. And then there’s me, a man who has dealt with the economy before and knows how to handle this stuff, as well as being able to work with others. If you answered D, then you will be supporting the better of the future!”

A round of applause roared for Wright. He believes that he could appeal to these people. After all, the economic Stagnant had hit New York State especially hard.

“Thank you everybody.” He continued. “Now, if we want to keep America safe, what do we have to do. Well, I have a proposition. I believe that we need to keep a quota of human employees for every company. And every company that does not follow shall be fined. We also need to innovate, a thing that this country has failed to do. We must create more environmentally friendly sources of energy in order to not destroy earth. We must try to keep taxes high enough in order to support our country, but low enough in order to keep business here. If we do this, then our economy will be safe, our economy will be secure, our economy will be safe, and the American people shall no longer live in fear that they might not have a job tomorrow. Thank you Albany.”

A roar of applause came down. People cheered as Wright went down the stage and shook other people’s hands, he actually thought he had a shot again as Election Day got closer and closer. He could win this if he focused. If he could win California and New York, he had a shot.

Faulkner Campaign Update

Two affiliated Super PACs, Future for Farmers, and Reform USA, have put out ads endorsed by Richard Faulkner in the state of Kansas, and in Puerto Rico. The Kansas ad promoted further farm subsidies for Kansas as a means of boosting the already strong American agricultural sector, and also used populist rhetoric, referring to the rural Midwest as the people who hold up urban America. The Puerto Rico ad focused on development in Puerto Rico, but also hinted at accepting the results of future referendums, with Faulkner saying that "the democratic will of the people of Puerto Rico must be met by the politicians of DC."

New poster designs for the Faulkner campaign have been put out by the official team, and activists have been encouraged to plaster them across towns and cities voting in primaries soon. The poster, a simple picture of Faulkner with his campaign slogan - "Pragmatic yet Principled" - and three bullet points saying "More Jobs for Americans", "Bigger Paychecks for Americans" and "Greater Strength for America", all link back to his key policies of creating jobs, boosting the economy, and increasing America's role in world affairs, through both military and diplomatic means.

"So whats the today's plan?" Theo asked as Mohamed handed him his cup of coffee and the climbed into the car.

"Same thing as yesterday, only on a bigger scale, and not in Urbana-Champaign. Rallys at all the major universities in Chicago: UChicago, Northwestern, Loyola, Illinois Tech, Illinois in Chicago. Then tonight, we hold a dinner-fundraiser with members of the teacher unions and the student unions in the one of the Hilton's Conference Halls."

"Ok, any news about Faulkner's moves on the campaign trail?"

"He's starting to air some ads in Puerto Rico and taking more money from Super PACs."

"Get Eric to campaign in Puerto Rico for a few weeks, combine the strategies used in Texas and American Samoa. A fellow Spanish-Speaker promising Statehood. Then get me a speech read to attack his use of SuperPAC for tonight."

"On it, looks like we're at our first stop of the day, the Illinois Insitute of Technology.

"I'd like to thank you all for coming to this dinner, now, let me get to the important part of this speech. Our Education system is broken. It's been broken for centuries. It's a creation of centuries-long dead, lobbied by corporations of days past to produce machines to do their work. We live in a different world now. The people of today are less satisfied with white-collar work, people are becoming more and more entrepreneurial, the focus is shifting from hard labor to technology. As President, my Department of Education would research ways to create a better school system. Some things already on the table are school choice, starting mandatory schooling earlier and ending earlier, encouraging gap years, more of a focus on tech school and community college, government-funded college, eliminating property tax-based public education."

For a while, Guess continued to talk on the issue of Education, with some open debate going on between all parties at the dinner. Eventually, he shifted to funding for his campaign.

Now, as you all know, my campaign is only running on funding from the people. No money from any SuperPACs will be accepted by this campaign. Now, who is accepting SuperPAC money? May I ask? Well, Faulkner is, two PACs affiliated with his campaign just started airing ads in Puerto Rico and Kansas. He can't even fund his campaign without selling himself to the SuperPACs financiers. So, why should he get to be the nominee? The people have voted not only with their votes but with their wallets. The people have shown that they want me, meanwhile, the only way Faulkner can keep his campaign alive is selling himself to the corporations.

So, I ask all you fine and wonderful people, to donate to my campaign. Do you want a President who will follow the will of the people and fix this country or do you want a President who will only do the will of Corporations?

Guess got a thunderous applause, with people already lining up to donate.
