Well, there's a tradeoff between reputation and RPers. Reputation can't be recovered, at least in a reasonable time period.

Supreme Boy Leader Alex Jarrin of the Federation of Ebwaino

Postby Ebwaino » Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:59 am

Name: Alexander "Alex" Jarrin
Codename: Little Comador/Leader's Son/Boy Dictator
Age: Turned 16 three weeks ago.
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Image

Biography: Born in the (fictional) Latin American costal nation of Ebwaino and the son of the current ruling Top-Comador of his nation - Fredrico Jarrin. Almost as paranoid as his father with a position of power that makes him very vaguely as dangerous - or just spoilt. Him and his mother were fled to an undisclosed location in fear of rebel assasination - said location happened to be the small town of Oriental, Minnesota in the USA. Since then, he has become a rather typical and comical wannabe nationalistic dictator with a love for military uniforms, visor caps and a special brand of torture that involves a bowl of cereal.

Before this, he was like any boy his age in his homeland... but more well protected and taken care of due to his status as "Son of the Leader". He had an affinity for woodworking Ebwaino's sacred breadfruit tree bark - the tree and its fruit are the country's number one exportation, other than propaganda.

He now lives with his mother and minions - he perfers the term "Paetrots" to describe them. In a big six room home. He goes to the local high school everyday to learn - or as he thinks, "spy on the foreigners". He was absolutely against leaving the nation he loves in the midst of its civil war, but his father convinced him under the guise that he would be "learning the ways of the enemy" instead of getting doctrinated by them.

He is a bit of a bad boy in school, simply because he is convinced that his paetrots will always be there to help him in his antics - though, they often leave him in detention due to his mother ordering them to let him be (and as mother, she over rules his decisions) so that he may learn his lesson. They mostly help with housework and patrol the house when they're not doing anything else.

(I am willing to change some of the history to fit The Infinite's lore)
Powers: Breadfruit Wood Genius. Is somehow gifted with the power to shape breadfruit tree balk into whatever shape he wants in sufficient amounts... however, it must be pure, lest his hands start burning from the touch of most henious foreign wood... *shudders*. Powers get ever more diluted the lower the purity of the wood.

And he has a small army of two adult bodyguards - who fear his Father more than him - and four teenage child soldiers from his homeland.
RP sample: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... mple_1.png

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
Describe your abilities: I have no abilities, I am just a normal Americano boy! I like baseball! Alex then gestures to his bodyguard and asks that he bind the interviewer and forcefully feed him lemon infused cereal.
Why did you turn to crime: Me turn to crime? YOU'VE TURNED TO CRIME! Paetrots (Ebwainian slang for "comrade"), seize this spy!
Why did you further become a supervillain: Yes, I am super indeed. Villain? No, no... YOU ARE VILLAIN! GUARDS!
How do you feel about the Infinites: GET THOSE DE-SPOTTIES (Ebwainian insult) AWAY FROM MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, AND I MAY JUST SPARE THEIR GLOBALIST LEADERS THE BENEFIT OF MY FATHER'S PARDON!
What's your end goal: One world, one flag.... the Ebwainian one.
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: Now I torture them by drowining them in a room filled with whipped cream and watch as they slowly undergo the transformation from hero... to fat, decadent, diabetic zero. Haaaah, hahahahahaaah!
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: I'll admit, I do suffer from Spontaneous Monologuing Disorder... I fear that I may one day forget what I have planned and prevent this by repeating it constantly to myself outloud.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): Haaaah hahahahahaaah! Yes.
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): MY PLAN NEVER FAILS! (But when it does, he roars, "INTERNATIONAL LAAAAW!"/"FOOLS, YOU AIN'T YET SEEM THE LAST OF LITTLE COMADOR!")
Any lines you won't cross: I AM THE LINE! I AM THE LAW! ARREST THEM, PAETROTS! Just then, his mother walks in on him and quickly states in a disappointed tone, "Alex! That is not how you treat your playmates! I'm sorry, he just gets soooo excited sometimes. He gets it from his father."
"Yes, Mother... Free them, Paetrot."
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: I already have an archnemesis... Foreigners...

Miles Petersen- A man who had it all: Wealth. Status. Success. Still, something was lacking. Miserable, alone, his spirit beaten, Miles Petersen gave up. Then, in his darkest hour, the words of a single tool began to change his life ("A staple remover!") At last, Miles Petersen felt the burning desire to remove staples inspired by his trusty staple remover and, equipped with unparalleled handiness, Miles pledged to fight evil for office workers everywhere as...

STAPLE REMOVER GUY!

Name: Miles Petersen
Codename: Staple Remover Guy
Age: 40
Sex: M
Appearance:
Image
Just imagine he's holding a staple remover
Bio: See intro.
Powers: He has extensive knowledge about the various staple remover models, and can use them effectively as each the following tools:
Lever Style:
  • Hammer
  • Screw Driver
  • Wrench (for really small bolts)
  • Carving device
  • Surgery kit
Jaw Style:
  • Grapple
  • Scissors
  • Fake Snake Biter
  • Chopsticks
  • Castanets
His powers are exclusively tied to the quality and sharpness of the respective staple removers. Thankfully, he always carries around a spare or equal or greater quality.
RP sample: Oh, Talch, you should know me by now!

Describe your abilities: Whale, I'm quite handy with a staple remover, if I do say so myself!
Why did you become a superhero: Somebody's gotta do it. Texas heroes don't go this far north, eh?
What are your goals for the future: I'm gonna complete my collection of every staple remover in the world. There are a few Hungarian models in particular that i have my eye on.
(Why is this character with the Minnesota Infinites. In other words, why do they kind of suck?): Nobody at work really appreciates the finer art of office supplies. I hope to bring that to the forefront of national politics, or at least local stuff. I tried to get sponsored by Stuples, but they said no.
How would you describe your talents?: No superpowers. Only raw, unadulterated skill.
(What about your character's talents make them a D-lister?)
What are your strengths?: I look for the creative solutions in everything, with whatever's at my disposal!
What are your weaknesses?: Oddly enough, I have trouble removing staples.
(Any other flaws? Maladjusted personality? Social issues? Unmarketable aspects?): There are some... unfounded, heinous rumors that I've been dealing with the black market. I assure you that my collection was acquired legally, in its entirely.
Why should you if given the opportunity be allowed to advance in the Infinites?: Whale, you got all these people with superpowers. Fancy footwork and everything. But what happens when you get a leaky faucet? What happens when a floorboard comes loose? Who protects the protectors? That's my job, sir!
(Why does the press hate or ignore you?): Well, I can't exactly do cool flips and feats, so...

I'd like to make his origin story/first appearance at the mayoral debate, if possible.

Ok, didn't get a post up today like I kind of promised, but I'll write something at least.

Name: Never had one, but I think I've come up with one now...
Codename: Adictivas! Y'all get it, huh, huh?
Age: I'm still pretty much a baby.
Sex: I sexually identify myself as tar.
Appearance: Current form
Biography: I was born during a road construction on Planet McPlanetface. Since the lizard mafia runs that business as well, all kinds of illegal chemical stuff was mixed into the asphalt, so much that some of it, i.e. me, became sentient. Then, I got stuck on the underside of the spaceship which brought the Infinites and the villains back to Earth. Once here, I realized I needed a host to survive in this alien environment. So I disguised myself to an Adidas tracksuit, but it took a while before someone picked me up... Luckily, a woman named Irina Borisova eventually did it. Now I'm with her all the time...
Powers: I can absorb the powers of my first host, but since I already was capable of surviving in space, I'm pretty grumpy about what I got in that department... I can also slightly shapes gift, but only to something black and in my size. But most importantly, I can make my host addicted to me, and it doesn't even cost me much!
RP sample: The general looked over his enemies, then he held a inspiring speech for his troops and rode in the front and defeated everyone. The king was so pleased that he let him marry his daughter and get half the kingdom. Then they married. Then they had wedding cake. Then they had 2.5 children. But then another war came and when the general was off fighting, the princess cheated on him. So they got a divorce and lived happily ever after.

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
Describe your abilities: I get stronger if I get more tar, and as a side effect, my host gets stronger too. But since I can get into their heads, it's more beneficial to me. What? No, that's not a problem to me, taking advantage of others...
Why did you turn to crime: Hey, I don't know the laws of this country, I just do stuff.
Why did you further become a supervillain: Well, being an alien, I guess I became that automatically. Racist Earthlings...
How do you feel about the Infinites: Oh, Irina's great! The rest are kinda dull, to be honest. But I like Glitch, or his goatee anyway.
What's your end goal: Hmm... Not sure yet. Cause general chaos, perhaps.
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: That's what we'll see in the IC now! Because I've already caught Irina!
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: I'm more into dialogues with Irina, actually.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): Zza-hahahaaa!
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): Zzhhh... aaaarrggh!
Any lines you won't cross: I don't know, I'm new at this too.
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: Can I come back to that question when I'm more experienced with this whole villain thing? Thanks!

Do the timeskip as a last resort. I don't think it will be effective in changing the flow; they don't post not because of there's a lack of action going on; they rarely do. They don't post because they don't have the time for it. I don't think an update will fix their scheduling problem, or change their priorities.

It's more that I was wanting to move onto the 2nd chapter than anything, and was indulging Xah. Hearing what you have all said, expect my next post to be a timeskip post to the night of the debate. And, as I said earlier, we will be moving into the 2nd chapter. All the clues have been given, that I wanted to give for the 1st chapter. And what's coming up? It will further the plot. And I think it will be funny. And how we're going to get there, I don't know yet, but we'll have some fun doing it.
