ONCE UPON A TIME

Darkness and light have always danced together in the world of Lonriel, two sides of the same coin, neither unable to exist without the other. Countless champions of both good and evil have tried to save the world, guided by their beliefs, but no victory has ever lasted long. It has only been thirteen years since the corrupted flame of Achysia threatened the Silver Realms with its undead armies fighting in the name of their Mage-Emperor. It has only been three years since the final battle that ended that war in the name of the Holy Covenant, an alliance of armies and nations brought together by the Faith. Only three years since the battle in which half of the Champions of Light, the Seven Traitors, betrayed their vows and tried to save the dying Mage-Emperor, only to be defeated by the ones who remained loyal to their oaths, the Seven Heroes. Their victory brought peace to these lands. But peace was only an illusion.

Chaos has once again been spreading, slithering through the world. To the west, in the Forests of the Loroi, the hate between Children of the Sun and the Moon has grown ever more bitter, memories of their old empire and blood ties growing ever weaker. To the north, the Zemrai withdraw in their seclusion, closing the gates of their stone fortresses in the mountains, their old kings tired of the world. To the east, something stirs in the Great Steppe, threatening the Hordes of the Karaki and forcing them into ever more brutal raids against the civilized world and the warriors of the Two Mothers. Silence rules over the dead center of the world, the Blighted Lands that once were the shining realms of the Silver Throne, the Empire of Thyria, while whispers come from the far south of the impenetrable Shade. And in the middle of it all, the Silver Realms and bicker and squabble, the Holy Covenant close to breaking, as the Achysians prepare to fight for their freedom, and as hosts of shade and silver prey on their borders.

All while the Cult of Sins spreads the authority of their divine masters, with the Cult of the Virtues kept chained by suspicion, and with the Faith being increasingly filled with despair, left astray by the silence of their Sixteen Gods. War and shadows, fear and blood, magic and hate, all waiting for the bells of fate. And when the chaos will start its dance, will the mortals be able to resist its call?

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Dance of Chaos, my fantasy roleplay. It is set in the world of Lonriel, a world of magic and legends, of mages, knights, warriors, monsters, of demons and angels. While not entirely original, since it has been inspired by various books, movies, and anime series, it is a realm where all sorts of adventures can happen, stuck in the middle of a medieval-like age, where magic means power. Most of the action of the roleplay so far is focused in the region known as the Silver Realms, the regions that were once part of the Empire of Thyria, which was destroyed in the Great Blighting. Surrounding the corrupted remains of what were once the Thyrian heartlands, the Silver Realms are inhabited by a majority of humans, but have very extensive populations of elves, dwarves, and countless other races and monsters, so players can make nearly any sort character they want. The Cult of Sins is wreaking havoc, most of the realms are close to war, Achysia is ready to revolt in order to gain its freedom, and monsters and demons are starting to appear, while the Cult of Virtues, the Faith, and the Seven Heroes are just barely able to keep things under control. Regardless of whether you want to be a skillful mage, a valiant knight or a brutal monster, there is something that you can do here. The roleplay doesn't have a single, central plot/interaction with all characters, instead we have many separate plots and interactions, and we always try to help new players to create the characters they want and to take part in the plots that they'd enjoy the most. Thank you for checking this out, and I hope that we'll all have a lot of fun!

RULES

  • The OP is the final authority in most matters, the CO-OP shares that authority and should also be respected.
  • Godmodding will not be tolerated
  • Please, try to treat all the other players with respect.
  • There isn't going to be a strict limit on the number of characters that a player might have, but I'd love to see a single well made character more than many rough and poorly made characters.
  • Put some effort into your posts, please. All players have different writing skills, and some of us will be busy, but since we are roleplaying for fun, people should be able to enjoy the posts of others.
  • Let's try to avoid arguments, alright?
  • If you break the rules, you get a strike. Three strikes will mean that the player will be removed. A very severe breaking of the rules or a special situation might result in a player's direct removal from this roleplay.
  • Have fun! Or else..

ACCEPTED
CHARACTERS

This is a list of all the characters belonging to active players. Not all of them are currently used within the IC, but are being kept on the list because their players will want to use them whenever possible.

Image
ACCEPTED
RELICS

This is a list of all the currently active and accepted relics. Since most of the relics are bound to a master character and are used by that master in their weapon form, they might be somewhat difficult to spot in the IC. Inactive relics that were removed from this list are grouped together with normal characters in the Old Characters list.

Image
NON-PLAYABLE
CHARACTERS

This is a list of all the currently existing Non-Playable Characters. NPC's are usually created by either the OP without applications, and they're used in specific plots or for important positions. Players also sometimes create NPC's in order to make certain plots or interactions work, and there are also situations where with the full agreement of the player, a character that they no longer play as, but who is still important to the lore or the plot, is retained as an NPC. Some NPC's could be taken over by players through an app, but that is an individual decision and would be subject to certain conditions, so if you see an NPC that you enjoy and that you want to apply as, please ask about it in the OOC.

Image
OLD
CHARACTERS

This is a list of characters that were accepted from players who have since went inactive or abandoned the roleplay. It is maintained both in order to allow newer players to understand what characters are referenced in older posts, and to allow those inactive players, if they so wish, to easily return to the roleplay. Inactive players who return don't need to reapply - they simply need to say that they've returned and their characters will be moved back into the active characters list.

CURRENT
INTERACTIONS

Mystery in the Fen - OPEN
Merckburger Fen, Oath-League of Anselm

An Assassination Attempt - CLOSED
A ruined town, Kingdom of Duivene

A Traitor and a Constable - CLOSED
On the road to the Citadel of Chovers

This is a list of the currently ongoing interactions in the IC, maintained here in order to easily allow players to see what is going on and where characters are located.
OPEN interactions can be joined by any characters whenever they want, but when a new character joins an interaction, its player should respect the situation that exists and shouldn't significantly alter the action without asking, since even open interactions have a certain degree of planning to them.
SEMI-CLOSED interactions can be joined by new characters, but only under specific circumstances, so interested players should ask about it in the OOC.
CLOSED interactions are generally intended to only happen within a limited circle of characters, so they can't be joined by newcomers.
INACTIVE interactions are ongoing but temporarily put on-hold, usually because an important player is presently unavailable, or because they are waiting on the result of other interactions to continue.

Character Application

Name: "The Colonel" Dietrich Ekerhart Haegler(/Unsterb)
Age: 42 years
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Pedophile
Race: Human
Appearance:and he can look even worse

Position/Status/Affiliation: Well, he is the Colonel and heads the Black Band. Loyal he is mostly to a purse but he also does value family bonds, hence why he is secretly aligned with the Unsterbs.
Skills/Powers//Magic: He never had anything good to say about magic. And although he still has good fighting skills, time and his job have taken a toll on all his skills.
Equipment: Well, he isn't really in a state where he can still effectively use armour. Weapons wise he carries a nice dagger and has also recently started using a crossbow.

Personality: Well, well, well. What is Dietrich? A man with no such thing as honour, a man who will slit your throat when it will grant him an advantage, or better yet, have others do it for him. A man who is more than happy to see violence, and also most amused when he is to participate, but only when the odds are well in his favour. He is also a survivor. A pretty darn lucky survivor who always managed to make profit out of situations although mainly because he knew exactly when he could stop being a hero and let the coward inside him out. Aka, he's the one throwing insults and stuff at the enemy like no other but the first to use a well placed enemy attack to simulate getting hit and die. He's also quite fond of seeing others suffer, be it physiologically or psychologically. Apart from that, he does like little girls and boys a lot. Sometimes he likes them a little too much. But that always in locations where it won't hurt his terrible reputation. And yet, someone this terrible usually has some sort of of redeeming quality. In case of Dietrich, it is his feelings for his family. For much of his life he had yearned to have a real family and not just comrades. And although the family he has is not what he had envisioned, he gruntingly accepts it and does what is required with only little complaints.
Moral Alignment: Undecided between Neutral Evil and Lawful Evil. What do you suggest?
Biography: So, recently I have taken a liking to making Dietrich a bastard child. This will be the same. This time Dietrich is the accident that happened when the rich and influential merchant Konrad Unsterb had a little affair with Mrs. Haegler. Now, a respectable man like Unsterb really couldn't have that. Especcially because his own wife was also pregnant with a child right now. And so he hired a band of mercenaries from the Black Band to take care of this affair. And this is where things should have ended for Dietrich. But he got damn lucky. The Black Band didn't consider the job to be very important so they sent a couple greenhorns to carry it out, resulting in them not actually killing him when they had finally found him after slaying his mother and demolishing the house. He was a newborn afterall and they were still young, not used to the horrors that had to be done and maybe also slightly idealistic. So what did they do? Of course they took him with themselves and swore to never tell anyone that this was actually the kid they had to kill.

And so Haegler grew up within a band of mercenaries. Damn good environment for a child, right? It surely will end up as a completely normal child after being educated by a load of smelly men who had made killing, looting, raping etc for money their living. But well, for a while he was more or less the mascot for the company untill eventually, when he had reached a sufficient age of roughly 8 years, men decided that he was old enough to make his own money within the company and so Dietrich started his career as a mercenary. At the beginning he was used mostly as a spy, scout and assasin. His youth allowed him to move relatively undetected because no one ever really looks out for a child. And so Haegler killed his first man in the age of only 9 years...and many more were still to come. Great, isn't it?

But well, he grew up over time, finally reached an age where he could serve with the other fighting troops. His "fathers" died one by one, engagement after engagement. It was when Dietrich was 22 years old, that the last of his "fathers" lay on the deathbed, mortally wounded in an engagement. The man wanted to talk to him, make some revelations he said. And revelations they were indeed. With his last breaths the mercenary broke the oath he and his comrades had made over two decades ago and told Dietrich about the circumstances of how they got him. He told him that they had been hired by a rich merchant who wanted to cover up an affair. He told him that he participated in the killing of his mother and the destruction of his home. And then he died and no action by the furious Dietrich could ever bring him back. But now Dietrich had a goal again, a goal to find this rich merchant. Though he hadn't thought much further. He really didn't want to think any further. Within him two feelings were tearing each other apart. Immense hatred yet also immense joy. He wanted to avenge his mother and kill the merchant and all his family as a payback yet at the same time he wanted to cry and hug his father and his possible half siblings.

But Dietrich knew damn well that he could not just leave the Black Band. Besides, where would he search? The last trail had just died in front of his eyes. Maybe sometime in the future he would be able to search for them but not in his current position. And so he served the Black Band faithfully as always. He fought in many battles, he pillaged, killed, tortured and raped like his comrades. And yet, unlike his comrades he just never died. He learned how to survive on the battlefield. But it was never enoug. He received wound after wound and although he rose in rank within the Black Band, his health deteriorated. After one and a half decade of fighting for the company he had finally reached the top of the career ladder. The last Colonel had died to a Direwolf while raping a young woman all alone in the woods and thus freed that position for the second in command, good old Dietrich Ekerhart Haegler!

So now Haegler was at the top. Now he could do as he pleased. And so he searched the written records of the contracts made by the Black Band. Why there is written records? Well, see it as some sort of security from the company. Besides, blackmailing could bring some money and mercs are all about the money. And so he eventually found the contract he was searching for. It had the right date, the right location, even the name of is mother. But most importantly, there was the name of the merchant who had contracted the Black Band to kill his mother, Konrad Unsterb. It was when he read this contract, when the hatred came back up within him and so he spent the time sending out mercenaries, trying to track down Unsterb for he was not living at the adress noted in the contract. Haegler's men found out much. Apparently Unsterb's first wife and firs daugter had died in a night to a robber. He found out that Unsterb had married a second time and got a second daughter. And last but not least he finally found out where Unsterb lived now. But the servant's told him that Unsterb and his daughter were on a business trip towards the northern holdings of Anselm to check his offices up there and establish some connections with influential merchants. And so he had to slightly postpone his revenge, but he never forgot and held agents ready in the ports to inform him when Unsterb returned.

And eventually Konrad Unsterb returned from the north with his daughter. He was an old man and in bad health, so they travelled slowly over the land, giving Dietrich's agents more than enough time to inform Dietrich so he could plan and organise an ambush. And so Haegler rode to the Unsterb mansion, taking a whole platoon of nasty mercenaries with him. Finally he would get his revenge, finally. 18 years had passed since his last "father" had died, 18 years in which he had both longed for and hated his true family. And now he could finally realise these feelings. When Unsterb's convoy finally reached his mansion, Haegler was long there with his group, waiting in ambush positions. He wanted to destroy the man he made responsible for his terrible life, from which he could not return anymore. He wanted to destroy him and his house with him. Maybe even rape his daughter in front of his eyes.

At midnight he began the attack. It was sudden and bloody, his men quickly breaking into the mansion and slaughtering the servants while searching for valuables. He on the other hand searched for Konrad. The man he wanted to kill sooo much. He wore his armour and sword just in case that he would run into opposition. But he did not. The only one he found was a terrified servant who threw himself onto the floor the moment he saw him. It was easy to get the information where Konrad's bedroom was from this man. After that he had no more use so Haegler slit his throat. And then he headed straight for the bedroom. And when he finally found it he kicked open the doors, only to find that he was staring at the tip of a sword pointed at him. It was a girl, apparently still in the garbs she had worn during the journey the merchant had made. And most probably this girl was the daughter of Konrad Unsterb. He had to admit that she was quite beautiful even though she didn't fit his preferences. But right now she was pointing a blade at him. From her stance as well as her facial expressions he could tell, she had already seen combat and wasn't too bad at it but she was no match for him. The dance of blades was short, ending with Haegler hitting the poor girl in the face twice. With blood all over it, she could barely see him and so he moved in and knocked her to the ground.

And now the way was free to get his revenge on his father. The man sat upright in his bed, staring at Dietrich as if he was an a devil, coming to reap his soul. And indeed Dietrich was a devil born from the sins of this man. How fitting that he would take his life. He locked Konrad's eyes in his gaze for a moment, before all the barriers fell. With an animalic howl Dietrich started beating the man to death. Slicing him again and again with his sword, turning him into goddamn mincemeat. But in his rage he forgot about the girl. And only when he suddenly felt a pain in his leg, he knew that he fucked up. The girl had managed to crawl all the way over to him and sunk a knife deep into his leg. The rage inside him cooled a little, but it was still there and not it refocused on that girl. He lifted his sword, ready to strike her down and end her life but just when he wanted to strike her, he couldn't move his sword. When he looked behind himself, the last thing he saw was a small fist coming at his face with incredible speed before he was hit square in the face, sending him flying through the room and crashing into a small commode.

When his sight returned to him and the ringing in his ears died down, he saw another girl. It seemed young, younger than the girl he had fought before. And yet she radiated malice and a stench of deat seemed to have entered the room. Or was it coming from the dead Konrad and he was noticing it only now? Anyway, the new girl brought her face down to the crushed skull of Konrad and gave him a kiss. And as if this wasn't already sickening enough, she then brought out her tongue and licked over his face, taking in quite a bit of his blood. She then licked her lips, probably to get the blood that was on them from her kiss. After that she turned towards the girl who was still on the ground. With her hand she took some of the blood from her face and licked it off her own palm. The last thing she did was to come over to him. Here she did the same as with the other girl. She ripped the knife out of his leg and then licked over it with her long tongue. Her childish expression turned into one of satisfaction as she only stated: "All in here have similar blood."

And in this night Dietrich found what should become his family. For the obviously vampiric girl proposed to them, to work together. They were all of the same blood so it would be most natural to help each other. Back then they made the a pact, The Pact of Three, and they swore to give Anselms Triple Alliance an entirely new meaning. From that day onward, they worked together in secret. Konrad's second daughter was to become the most influential merchant and take the presidency over the Merchant High Council and both Dietrich and Konrad's first daughter would do everything in their power to support her. In turn she would use her influence to support them. Now they have done this for the last couple years and so far achieved their goals. They had the presidency of the Merchant High Council. The Black Band profitted greatly from a greatly inreased amount of contracts and a steady supply of people was sent to the Unsterb mansion. And yet, with trouble rising again, they all set their sights further. What was to come? How to profit?
Goals: Goals? Hm, death and destruction? The creation of a nation, encompassing all of the known world, where Mercenaries like him will be let off the leash to do as they please and the limits set by the rulers will be most flexible.
Theme Song: Seems as though I am in an Ardyn mood

RP Sample: You know me but am I good enough?
Did you read the Rules?: Sure.
Miscellaneous: I had Schnitzel for dinner.

Character Application

Name: Lisbeth Unsterb
Age: 42 years
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Making that gurl asexual. Maybe even lesbian.
Race: Moroi Vampire
Appearance:

[b]Position/Status/Affiliation:
Currently merely affialited with the Unsterb pact. In turn also affiliated with Anselm. Anything evil I could affiliate her with as well?
Skills/Powers//Magic: So, I guess dark magic for her although she isn't very good at it yet. She only really started learning it since two years ago so she is still at the very beginning but through her alliance with her siblings, she can easily acquire the materials or dark books she needs to learn fast. And well, since she is a Moroi vampire, her abilities will mostly be above that of other humans, especcially with that steady supply of human cattle coming in over the last two years. Maybe I should give her a special power though? Ideas Thrac?
Equipment: Hm, far below the mansion, there lie secrets never yet uncovered. In a sprawling underground network, which Elisa has only just begun to explore. And yet, she has found a sword of dark power down there already. She may not have managed to find all of it's secrets yet, but the sword yearns for blood and the souls of her enemies. So far, she has only found out that the sword seemed to increase her proficiency in combat although she always ended up killing everyone around her when she let her hand be guided by the sword.

Personality: Well, what to say about her? Before she became a vampire she was a nice, beautiful, naive and innocent child. And after...well, she got locked up in a basement for three decades. Such a long imprisonment in such a bland environment led to her developing a crass hedonism of psyhcotic dimensions and incredible sadism. Not to mention that while she is definitely a little devil in persona, she still loves to wear the guise of the very well behaved and educated young and innocent little girl she appears as.
Moral Alignment: Neutral Evil
Biography: So haha hm, what story to give her? Hm, let's start this story way back. Very far back. Ever wondered about the family name I chose? I bet you, Thrac, with your german skills, have already figured out what meaning the name has. It's like I took the immort of immortal or put together Un and Die into Undie. And indeed, the Unsterb family came initially from an immortal/undead , a vampire. So fancy-schmancy luv story and so on and children and blablabla. Well, eventually after many generations the side effects likely to occur when being an offspring of vampires subsided, yet a trace always remained in the blood of this family, a tainted bloodline, forever prone to evil. And Evil they did. Some Unsterbs became necromancers, some joined the cult of sins, some served vampires. And Konrad, well good old Konrad Unsterb did have some dark secrets as well. He was one of those in the Merchant High Council who vehemently supported a pro-Achisian stance. It is said that he acquired many riches through shady deals with Achisia although those have never been found.

Now it is unknown how he did it but it is apparent that Konrad pissed off a Progenitor vampire, most likely somehwere during his early collaboration with Achisia. This vampire apparently decided to make Konrad pay for this and decided to destroy him mentally. Now, Konrad had gotten a daughter a couple years ago from his loving wife. And this daughter he had named Lisbeth and he cherished her like himself. She was the sun in his dark days, his most beloved child. He loved her even more than his mother and gave her everything. And it was through this child that the Vampire wanted to enact his revenge. In the middle of the night he broke into the house and offered the naive little girl a drink. Little did the young girl know that the good and melancholic looking man with this dark aura around him offered her his own blood. And she drank it in the very moment that Konrad, in extreme worry over his daughter stormed into the room. And he saw her and the vampire, she drinking out of a chalice. With a roar Konrad wanted to put his hands around the Vampire's throat but the Vampire escaped easily and laughed as he jumped out of the window, leaving a Konrad who was sinking down to his knees and crying like a little child as well as his daughter who was suddenly feeling some nausea and fell down.

Konrad hoped that he could maybe keep his daughter in a controlled environment. He loved her too much to kill her and just hoped that she would be fine. And so it broke his heart to see how her behaviour got more and more irrational and an insatiable hunger flickering within her eyes. But nothing had happened yet so he hoped that she would overcome this eventually. But his hopes were shattered in a single night, when the shriek of a woman in terror sounded through the house. He had immediately recognised it as the voice of his beloved first wife Katherine and was immediately out of his bed and hurried to the source of the noise, only to find his wife lying on the floor within a pool of blood, an expression of pure terror on her face. And next to her, kneeling in the pool of blood, blood all over her nightdress and her face, was his daughter. When her face turned and the red eyes locked onto his, a childish smile on her face and her only saying: "Look daddy, Mommy is tasty!", he knew that she was lost. Yet he still couldn't bring it over himself to kill her. So he needed a place where he could safely imprison her. And there was one such place, the old family mansion. He didn't live there because people said it was cursed but now he didn't care. If it meant that he and his daughter would be safe there, then so be it.

In the middle of the night he moved there together with his daughter and made haste to quickly lock her up in the basement. He also made sure to quickly spread rumours of his wife and his daughter dying to an intruder as well as why he suddenly moved away from his house and back to the cursed mansion.

And so Lisbeth spent the next three decades in ultimate isolation down in the basement. Boredom and evergrowing hunger was all she had down there. But her father still loved her. He would talk to her through the locked and reinforced door, he would sometimes give her some books to read or anything else that she requested in which he saw no harm. And he fed her. At first it was only his blood that he always gave to her in goblets that kept her alife. But due to the strain that put on him, he eventually resorted to acquiring slaves from the Company of the Forsaken. As the mansion got more populated with servants and soon also his second wife, he had a door sized picture of Lisbeth made by a famous artist. He then hired some workers to put this picture over the door and fix it to it, making the door and the picture one, hiding the door from prying eyes and meddling ears. And well, then he kicked the workers down the stairs into the basement, giving Lisbeth a little feast.

The next thing in decades that Lisbeth noticed was shouts, cries and the sound of weapons clashing agaisnt each other. She quickly got up the staircase, just in time to hear a loud thump against the door. Then she smelled blood and looking down at her feet, she saw blood coming forth from under the door. Someone had died on the other side. The shouts of men were heard on the other side, apparently they had killed someone backing up against the hidden door and by striking him down had also destroyed the painting, revealing the hidden door. And when the unfortunate men opened the door, they were greeted by a VERY hungry vampire. Needless to say that none of the men who were in that place of the house survived. She then proceeded to walk through the house, following the smell of her father which she knew just all too well. And any who crossed her path, be it servant or mercenary, died. However, when she reaced her fathers room, she smelled another stench which she knew very well yet had not smelled for a long time now and never this strong. She smelled her father's blood.

She came too late to save her father. Or wait, what am I thinking? She came too late to kill him herself. She didn't forget that although he did much for her, he still locked her up for three decades. And so all that was left for her to do was to say goodbye to him. When she entered the room, she saw two other people whose bloody stench had just penetrated her nostrils. And within this stench she believed to recognize something, something almost drowned out by the incredibly concentrated stench of her father's blood. Anyway, she hurried over and saved the girl from the mercenary who had killed her father and then said goodbye to her father in her own way. But she also drank from his blood to get a definite taste of it again. She then went to the girl and tasted her blood. Yes, the blood was indeed in many aspects very similar to that of her father. So was this girl her half sister? Had her father married once more? And then there was the mercenary. He was nearly unconscious but he could still see wha was going on. She went over to him and tasted his blood as well. Yes, he too shared many similaritie with her father's blood. So he was also a half brother? Three half siblings they were then?

Well, right at this moment Lisbeth had the two at her mercy, but she knew that both of them could, in the long run, survive better in this world than she. She knew little of the world as she had spent most of her time in the basement. They on the other hand were most experienced with the outside world. Besides, they were her family. And somewhere in her sick and depraved mind she still had some sort of respect for the blood bond of the family. And so she asked for them to form a new family. She asked to help each other out. And well, as seen from the other bios, it worked out, they accepted.

Now over the last years the little vampire brat was supplied by her two siblings with food and materials which she demanded for she had begun to make use of the slumbering magic potential within her and was now dabbling in the dark arts. Apart from that Dietrich came by every now and then to bring her out and take care of a rival merchant. And she began to explore the vast basements and tunnels below the Unsterb Manor, for she could feel darkness coming from deep below.
Goals: Well, I guess she would like to restore the Undead Glory of Achisia? Yeah, that sounds dark enough. And she will make use of Anselm to achieve this.

Character Application

Name: Konstanze Unsterb
Age: 19 years
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.
Race:Human
Appearance:

Position/Status/Affiliation: Well, she's a merchant in Anselm. Actually, THE most successful merchant right now. And so she holds the Presidency over te Merchant High Council. Apart from this she also shares strong bonds with her family.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Well, apart from being pretty damn good in terms of rethoric to get her deals done, she has been practising swordmanship ever since she had become 12 years old and is quite good at it nowadays.
Equipment: She does fancy a strong dagger as well as a rapier. Do we have gunpowder pistols or only magic guns?

Personality: Potzblith, another character paragraph he wants? Hm, let's see, she definitely is a very serious woman, rather quiet when her skills of speech are not required. She always gets to the point quickly, trying to end things for time goes on and unlike her half sister, she does age. However, despite all this she can be friendly at times, help those in positions below her etc. But that is a rarity ever since her father died at the hands of her half brother. Speaking of him, she doesn't particularly like him, his whole personality repulsing her. And yet, she won't dare go up against her half sister now that she is free.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral I guess?
Biography: Hm, see she was the second daughter born to Konrad Unsterb and his second wife Margarethe. She actually experienced a pretty damn normal life. Her father had money and so she received lessons by a hired private teacher, lived relatively well off in his mansion and had an overall great time. When she reached the age of 10, her father personally started teaching her the art of business, took her to with him to his deals etc. She was his favourite child and always received special care from him.

Eventually, when she reached the age of fourteen he took her with him on a business trip towards the north. Looks pretty normal, right? Well, it was a pretty normal business trip. Well apart from a pirate attack where she finally put her swordmanship lessons to good use. She killed her first man on that day, protecting her father from this pirate scum. Besides, Konrad Unsterb was a businessman with some tricks up his sleeve. He wouldn't just sail pirate infested waters without a good defense. Mercenaries hidden under deck quickly stormed the pirate ship and made short work of the scum. In a moment of generosity Konrad giften the ship to his daughter Konstanze. Can't tell you how happy she was about that. It's pretty damn rare that a child gets a ship as a present.

So apart from that they spent some years in the northern holdings of Anselm before eventually returning to their home. Little did she know that her peaceful life should find an abrupt end there. For on that very day, the mansion came under attack. She quickly figured out that the attackers were mercenaries and guessed that they were most probably sent by a rival merchant to put an end to Konrad's miserable life (He is pretty old by now and plagued by all kinds of diseases) so she hurried to get to him. And she didn't have to wait long untill a mercenary showed up to do just what she had expected, to kill her father. She was more than prepared to face him, to maybe, possibly die but he just made short work of her and cut her face. With pain exploding in her face and blood flowing over her eye, she couldn't follow his moves and so he threw her to the ground. Everything seemed to be spinning around and blurry but she could still make out that man, how he walked over to her father's bed before slashing at him again and again and again with his sword. At first, she was about to cry, but seeing her father being completely mutilated by the stranger made her sadness vanish and instead replacd it with the hot and burning desire to kill that man. And so she tried her best to get over to him, hoping that he would not notice her and end her attempt of wounding him rightaway.

And she got lucky, he was way too preoccupied with turning her father into a bloody mess, that she could crawl up to him and then thrust her dagger deep into his leg. a sudden yelp from the man told her that she had indeed caused him pain but when she looked up she could only see his face, distorted by pain and anger, his sword ready to end her life. It was then that she closed her eyes and made her peace with the world. But the deadly slash never came. Instead she felt how an object flew through the air right past her and moments later she heard a loud crash. When opening her eyes she saw a strange young girl above her father, kissing the ruin that was once his face and licking his blood. Then the girl came to her and stretched out her hand towards her face. Konstanze wanted to shout, to move away from those red eyes of the girl, an unsatiable hunger clearly visible within them. But she couldn't. She was paralyzed wether by shock, fear or just curiosity. And so the hand reached her face. It was cold, cold like stone. Yet the vampire only stroke over her face, gathering the blood coming from her minor wounds in the palm of her hand before drinking it. And then she went over to the mercenary who she had apparently thrown into the commode and did the very same but with the wound in his leg.

Yet the revelation that was to come next was what baffled Konstanze most. Everyone in this room shared the same blood? It took her a while but then she remembered a picture. A picture hanging in a rarely visited spot of the mansion. It was a mansized picture of Konrad's first daughter, Lisbeth Unsterb, who had supposedly died together with her mother to the hands of an intruder. This girl looked exactly like the girl in the picture, with the sole distinction of the different eye colour and the much more pale skin. And the man? The stranger? She would have to ask him. If he was indeed of her blood, then he had just murdered his own father. What could possibly be his motivation? But it was all postponed when the vampire proposed a bond by blood, the blood of the family. A pact to help each other out and to take control of Anselm, be it directly or indirectly. Seeing as this vampire could most easily kill both of them and curious about this newfound family of hers, Konstanze accepted.

In the years to come she ruthlessly maximized her profits. People who would not accept her deals or tried to push her off the market changed their mindsets over night, vanished or their houses were burned down. The merchants of Anselm quickly learned that she had strong friends and soon stopped actively opposing her, which cleared her way for becoming the richest Merchant of Anselm. Quite impressive considering that it took her only 2 years to achieve that but well, what can you say if you got both a vampire and the Black Band secretly supporting you. But she couldn't help it, she felt like Lisbeth had further and darker plans and Dietrich, even after she learned of his relation to her and his motivation to ill her father, stayed someone to her who should best be put down for the good of humankind.
Goals: Puppet Calaria, achieve Anselmian domination over the Human Kingdoms.
Theme Song: Too lazy to search

Character Application

Name: Elina Bittersee
Age: ...eh...if this still were the girl she was before, then she would be around 17. But she is ICly being created right as we speak so ehrm, age 0?
Gender: I guess it still counts as female
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian
Race: I believe this counts as a creature
Appearance: https://static.zerochan.net/Megurine.Luka.full.230096.jpg

Position/Status/Affiliation: Loyal creature of Lisbeth Unsterb thus also to the Unsterb Pact
Skills/Powers//Magic:
-Undead: She is not affected by age, sickness, lack of air, water in her lungs, lack of food etc.
-Undead Abomination: She is definitely stronger than mortals in terms of raw physical power
-Fishy: A pretty deadly massive crab claw, big crab leg and partly very tentacly hair
-Hodmik parts: Capable of crossing bodies of water but still painful and damaging.
Equipment: onehanded Saber

Personality: In all honesty, she is pretty cold and emotionless, almost like a robot. But well, aren't zombies and other undead marionettes not much more than magical biological robots? Eh, well, I think this will be a custom one with some personality fragments left. Hm, so what to give her? Of course she is ruthless, heartless, pragmatic and almost completely devoid of all emotion. But there are moments when her old personality shows. The personality of a young girl full of life and joy who loved the sea and got turned into a monster. Heck, she still loves the sea although this love is dwarfed by her love for her mistress and creator. But eh, as said, it will sometimes show, seeing her sad or disgusted by what she has become. Damn, I am simply terrible at making personalities.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Biography: Hm, I think we best start with the poor little girl. Back then, when she was still human, still alife, her name was not Bittersee, was not Eline. She was someone else but she can't remember the name anymore. Point is, she was born in that village at the border of the Merckburger Fen. And well, a normal girl, overjoyed with life, helpful and moralistic and all that blabla usual innocent girl character with big dreams. Her dream in this case was the sea. She wanted to become a sailor, maybe even a Captain and sail the seas, explore faraway lands and so on. And so the girl left the village when she was age 13 and travelled alone towards the coast. She got lucky. Had some nice adventures and all with bandits and deserters and whatever which all ended with a nice happy end for everyone except the outlaws and finally reached Arys.

There she spent some time in the harbour as a homeless girl, sleeping at the docks, doing minor jobs for captains and sailors untill she was finally accepted onboard a ship as cabin boy (girl). But yeah, she faked her identity and posed as a boy. And then she spent the next 4 years travelling the seas, fighting with pirates, Calarians and monsters, exploring, trading etc.

After these four years she had become quite respected by her comrades onboard and had also made quite a bit of money. So when they returned to Arys the next time, she left the ship and went back to her home to see her parents and all the other people from her village again for she had missed them all so much during her journeys. They had a small festival and all that, eating, drinking and telling each other stories. She heard that the fen was haunted now, that the people who were missing at the tables right now were not missing because they were working but because something in the fen had taken them. She was worried and promised to alert the authorities in Arys once she returned there. When it was already late in the night, she gave almost all of the money she had earned onboard the ship to her parents before going to sleep.

She was awoken by her mother who violently shook her and screamed at her to stand up. Still dizzy from the sleep she could only make out her father grabbing an axe before heading out onto the village's main square. She could hear shouts and screams from outside as well as the crackling of fire. It woke her up completely and after she had dressed herself she would have run out there as well and helped out her father for it was clear to her that the village was getting attacked. But her mother stepped into her way, begging her with tears in her eyes to not do this, to flee, to survive. Eventually she gave in to her mothers pleas and fled through the backdoor into the darkness of the night.

Looking back, she could see the villagers getting slaughtered by men clad in black and heavily armedarmour. She had seen such uniforms before already. During her many journeys she had already come across the mercenaries of the Black Band and she wondered why they would come all the way out here to destroy her village? She cursed them, cursed herself for being unable to help, cursed the world for letting this happen.

But of course the mercenaries were professionals. Sentries had been set up around the whole village. And they had spotted the fleeing girl very early. She became aware of that when suddenly a branch broke from one of the men stealthily encircling her stepping onto it. She was nearly surrounded, noticing the shadows closing in on her from all sides except for one. There was still one way out of it. And so she fled into the fen. Arrows flew after her, one scratching her at the arm but not seriously hurting her as she went deeper into the fen, shaking off her pursuers who didn't dare to go into the fen. And they had good reason not to. The commotion as well as the stench of her blood coming out of the little scratch attracted the undead abominations of Lisbeth lurking in the fen. They took her and brought her to the creepy mansion in the middle of the fen. She was locked up in a small room in the basement, apparently left to rot for all eternity down there.

But after mere weeks husks of what had once been proud men took her from her cell and deeper into the dungeon below the house. And there she met her goddess. A small girl, such a beautiful and innocent small girl she thought. And then things got nasty as Lisbeth started experimenting around on her. Just recently had Konstanze sent her a report as well as several dead specimen of the creatures her forces had encountered on a small island in the south. They had dubbed them Hodmiks because they obviously were an unholy mix between the two, most likely brought about by interracial coition. It gave her the idea to try and reuse some of the material she had received and maybe also try to make something party fish, part human but most importantly undead.
Goals: Serve the Mistress, obey all her commands, make her happy.
Theme Song: I've been listening this on loop while creating the app. This has also given me the idea for the character, or well, the picture did but I saw it here first. So it sorta feels right putting this as theme, especcially as it even fits somewhat.

Personality: In all honesty, she is pretty cold and emotionless, almost like a robot. But well, aren't zombies and other undead marionettes not much more than magical, biological robots? Eh, well, I think this will be a custom one with some personality fragments left. Hm, so what to give her? Of course she is ruthless, heartless, pragmatic and almost completely devoid of all emotion. But there are moments when her old personality shows. The personality of a young girl, hardened by battle and war throughout and actually not entirely unpleased with her current predicament. Sometimes her old self might resurface, but the differences would be marginal, mainly displaying a tad bit of additional sadism.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
Biography: As with Elina Bittersee, Etheltryth Todesglanz was not always Etheltryth Todesglanz. No, she was just a child living in Achisia, rural Achisia to be a tad bit more precise. And of course she was a child born into the war. As she grew up, she saw the able bodied men of her village being recruited. Then came the able bodied women. Then the able bodied elders. As the war situation worsened, so did the situation in the village as more and more people were required for the war effort. People which had been essential in keeping the village alife. Houses were falling apart and people were starving. The conditions became miserable. She was robbed of her father, her mother and her big brother and forced to live with other small and young children or those unable to fight. And she hated that life.

But the war was not going in Achisia's favour, despite all the efforts, despite the many people working towards victory, despite the use of dark magic and necromancy. The first sign she saw of the worsened war situation, apart from the less and less indiscriminate recruiting, was the Black Band. Few refugees or Achisian deserters had already told them of enemy forces coming fromt he west, brutally plundering and razing whatever they came across. Smoke pillars in the west gave credibility and in the night, the glow of the fires raging westwards was enough to convince even the most sceptical of the truth. Achisia was losing the war and the enemy was closeby. In a way, the young girl welcomed this. She was sick of the life back here in the rotten village. She wanted to die fighting, her fingers clutched around the handle of a weapon and a war cry on her lips.

And the day came, when the enemy was finally there. It was none other than the Black Band, brutal mercenaries, well acquainted with war and in a force more than capable of dealing with the threat that any village posed. They came riding in on their high steeds, setting fire to some of the houses. Some soldiers dismounted, searched the houses which looked like they were still inhabited. The people living inside, if they hadn't fled yet, were brutally murdered, and in some rare cases even raped. All valuables were taken by the mercenaries, sometimes even with parts of their owners on them. They were a cruel bunch, playing games with the survivors and torturing them. Few people survived and were kicked out of the village, mainly to spread the tale and cause further terror. The mercenaries then occupied their homes and prepared to spend the night in the village before moving on to the next one in the next morning.

As for her? Well, she also didn't escape the mercenaries. But she also didn't intend to. She had expected them, battle ready with a scythe on the main square of the village. She didn't flinch when they rode into the village and started setting parts of it alight and butchering its people. She just stood there, untill they noticed her. Then she challenged them to battle. And they all just laughed. No one took her seriously. No one. So she decided to do something that would force them to take her seriously. She was fairly experienced with the scythe. She had had to work the fields when the people who had worked them before were all gone. She knew how to handle this tool and how to use it like a weapon. She charged the man closest to her on his high steed and brough down her scythe, the weight of the tool and momentum of her charge giving her enough force to chop off the head of his horse. The horse collapsed, dead, burying its rider beneath it. The man could only helplessly watch, as she climbed atop the body of his dead horse and then brought the scythe down onto him, killing him too.

But this was not her end. Although the grins had faded from the faces of the mercenaries and the laughs had subsided, a certain degree of amusement was still in their eyes. The one of them then finally dismounted and limped towards her. He was pretty ugly but she didn't care. It would only make her job so much easier. He introduced himself as Dietrich Haegler and accepted her challenge. She was sure that she could take him down as well. Well, think again! When she charged him, making a wide swing with her scythe, he quickly ducked with a swiftness she had not expected from someone such as him. Next she felt a fist in her stomach and and let go off her weapon, falling onto the ground. It hurt so bad. And there he was, standing above her. He told her, that she reminded him of himself back when he was in her age. Although just a little. Then he kicked her in the face and darkness surrounded her.

Following her knockout, she would eventually and after some unconventional arguments employed by Haegler, join the Black Band and fight through the remaining year of the great war with Achisia. She kept her scythe, improved upon it and always used it to get better with it. She thought it would bring her luck, since this was the weapon she had first killed with. The time she spent with the mercenaries both during and after the war killed the last pieces of the fairly innocent achisian farmgirl she had been before. She become vicious, cruel and would exploit every oppotunity to cause harm. Any harm to foes, atleast emotional harm to allies. Partly probably because as mercenaries yesterday's allies could be todays foes.

But her luck did last. She was finally assigned to guarding a village near the Merckburger fen. She had no idea why but she took pleasure in fulfilling the order of annihilating all intelligent local life. Sadly, she took a bit too much pleasure in it, organising a little hunt into the fen. She hunted fleeing civilians deep into the fen and that was her demise. Lisbeth's creatures ambushed her and although she fought valiantly, some undead finally snuck up from behind and cut her head clean off with a single swing of a massive blade buried deep in his arm. Of course the undead took her back to the mansion and she ended up in the pile of bodies ready for use by Lisbeth for her dark experiments. And eventually she too landed on the operating table, shortly thereafter being reborn into the world as another undead creature to serve her new mistress' will.
Goals: Serve the Mistress, obey all her commands, make her happy.
Theme Song:(Optional, a song could be nice, but many people don't like it.)

Character Application

Name: Actually unknown. He is commonly referred to as Black Knight
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Asexual
Race: Presumable human.
Appearance: Dietrich also gets a minion!

Position/Status/Affiliation: The Black Knight is the Colonel's Bodyguard.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Is great at riding something, great at fighting with a great variety of close combat weapons. And on top of that, the Black Knight seems to be unstoppable. He has shown strength exceeding that or mortal men, has easily survived, no, ignored wounds that would incapacitate mortals and has shown a tenacity and durability far above what is considered to be human.
Equipment: The armour he wears, a big ol' longsword and a black horse.

Personality: A very taciturn character. It is unknown if he ever actually spoke. His actions are ruthless and he does go over piles of bodies to reach his goals. But he is not exactly cruel. He may often prefer the dark/evil/cruel route as it often brings him quicker towards his goals but he doesn't do so because he likes to. He just values efficiency a lot. And if he is ordered to interrogate and break some idealistic upstart hero knight and it would speed up the process of doing so by executing or torturing his entire family before his eyes, then he will do so without hesitation.
Moral Alignment: Neutral Neutral
Biography: Let's see what I can whip up for him after all these months.

Let's see. Born 36 years ago in Achisia into a minor noble house. Trained as a knight to serve the Achisian Emperor as a knight in the Achisian Army. Training to be a good knight for the Emperor was harsh but that was necessary to produce a knight who would put neither the Emperor nor his own family to shame. Still, by the time the Great War broke out, the young lad was still only a fourteen year old squire and not a full fledged knight. Still, he was drawn into the war to learn firsthand from true combat experiences. 3 Years later, after long and hard fighting and after having received a great many scars, he finally became a full fledged Achisian Knight and fought with relative honour and pride for the Empire. Yeah, I know that just couldn't quite last. His pride and honour faded over time as he experienced the darkness Achisia unleashed. Undead hordes, dark magic, the Cult of Sins and the brutal and cruel behaviour of hired mercenaries made him lose those thos quite quickly.

He became a man who just tried to shut it all out. To focus only on his mission and on nothing more. Just on how to complete it as quickly and effectively as possible. He just hoped that the war would end, that everything would return back to normal after it. But the gods didn't seem to want to grant him this mercy. The conflict was drawn out more and more and never seemed to finish. He was a seasoned veteran of the war by the time the Anselmians betrayed them, turning the tides even further against them. He didn't have any illusions. Unless the Emperor unleashed a power previously unknown to all, Achisia was going to lose and lose it would badly. He had seen how the mercenaries treated his enemies back when they were still on his side. He didn't hold any illusions that they would for some odd reason act differently towards Achisians. If anything, he noticed them acting even harsher and more brutal to them, probably in an attempt to show their new allies that they had truly broken up with their employers' former allies.

And yeah, along the road to Achisia's downfall he got captured by forces of the Black Band. Like with many other high ranking prisoners and nobles, he was kept alife in order to maybe ransom him at a later date, after the war. However, the mercenaries soon managed to acquire informations about his house and decided that a rich ransom was probably not something they'd get out of him. And so he was instead left to satisfy their desires of hurting those weaker than them. Torture would fill his days for weeks. He clenched his teeth together and attempted to bear the pain both mental and physical, caused by magic and torture instruments.

By the time the Colonel found him, he was little more than a shell of the man he had previously been. No motivations, no emotions, no memories...nothing. He was little more than a lifeless husk. Many would have killed him at this point but the Colonel saw use in him. Despite all the scars from battle and torture, he still had the body of a veteran knight of Achisia and the knowledge how to handle his arms was ingrained in his very muscles. He was still useful.

It is unknown how the Colonel managed to actually make the fallen knight move again. Unknown how he managed to make him eat. Unknown how he managed to make him follow his orders and act like his loyal dog. All that you must know is, that the Black Knight, as he became known among the mercenaries, is a loyal dog of the Colonel and protects him with his life.

His first test of loyalty came at the siege of the Achisian capital. A staged prisoner escape led by him had seen him return to the Achisian forces months prior where he had served once again for the Mage Emperor, or atleast pretended to serve. He also acted as the Black Band's inside man. But nothing was ever required of him. Untill the mentioned siege of the capital. He got a mission and that mission was to truly betray his emperor, his country, his comrades and his people. He was to open the gates of the capital city.

The Black Knight did as was asked of him, slaughtering any that got in his way, wether they were undead, mages or fellow knights. Even when his former best friend tried to stop him, to get him back to his senses, the Black Knight just continued as the merciless killing machine he had become and plunged his sword through his friend's body before heaving him up by it and throwing him off the wall. The Black Knight successfully opened the gates that day and spelled doom upon the Achisian Empire.

Well, I guess I managed something. Kept it kinda open so I am able to put whatever the fuck I still want to put in there in there.
Goals: He must serve the Colonel. For the pained body of the Knight, this is all there is left to do and he does so with utmost efficiency.
Theme Song:(Optional, a song could be nice, but many people don't like it.)

Every day was a fight for survival, a fight that only the fittest survived. She killed at an early age. Killed for little more than scraps. Heck, during harsh winters she even committed herself to cannibalism. And yet, all of these acts and deeds as well as her age stand as proof of her will to survive. She survived the streets and alleys of Elbing, something not many can claim of themselves.

Now, the The Great War had been raging throughout her life and as the merchants and nobles often did, the poor of the cities were recruited to fight their wars. And she took the chance, seeing as it provided her with food, clothes and weapons for the duration of the war. And so she marched along the armies of Anselm into Achisia, fighting, killing, seeing others die around her. In the streets of Elbing she had learned to trust no one. To love no one. That brutality and fear ensured survival better than anything else. It helped her greatly to survive this war. She killed brutally and shed no tear for fallen comrades...and after a while she even started to enjoy it. Really, the war was getting blurred for her, turning into one mad frenzy of carnage and death.

And then it was over. And she, she was faced with returning to Arys, surrendering her arms, clothes and return to the life of a miserable street urchin. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Of course she didn't. She defected and joined a mercenary band, in fact, the Black Band. There, she constantly took contracts to appease her lust for battle which in turn led to superiors taking note of her fighting style. In fact, the Colonel himself took note and saw a rough gem in her. With some polishing, he could easily turn her into something truly deadly. And thus he took her under his personal care. He gave her real armour and arms and had the Black Knight train her. And only months ago she officiall became the Scarlet Knight, one of the Colonel's bodyguards. Previously she had been known as the Scarlet Murderer.
Goals: Actually, she's pretty much without goals right now. Just tagging along and satisfying her lust for killing, thus ending up with mercenaries.

Character Application

Name: Schröck Blech
Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Race: Human
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/yxwsHdM.png

Position/Status/Affiliation: Konstanze's head butler
Skills/Powers//Magic: Skilled butler, cook, excellent improvisor, adept at poisoning others, good at fisticuffs
Equipment: Poisons in different forms and his uniform.

Personality: Schröck's life revolves entirely around Konstanze Unsterb. He attempts to please her, to be liked by her. Every single one of his actions has that as its end goal. He never really acts independently, mainly because when he does one can not call it independent acting because he attempts to mimick what Konstanze would've done in order to please her. Apart from that though he is the usual dry butler, really.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Biography: Schröck Bleck, a born Blech. People who've been servants of the Unsterb's for centuries, even throughout the darkest times of the dynasty. As such, his father took great pride in the post and he made absolutely fucking sure to instill that pride in young Schröck as well. Alas, Blech Senior perished in an altercation rival businessmen in Elbing, leaving Schröck to enter the services of the Unsterb family early. A young and spry man, Schröck would quickly see himself and his talents used in quite different ways than he had initially imagined. For some reason his service consisted less of setting tables and managing maids and moreso out of throwing people out of windows or drowning rivals in barrels of wine. This drastically different experience led Schröck to fall into depression, drinking his worries away in the taverns of Anselm with cheap ale and getting into barfights and the like.

Time and habit dulled his pain eventually. Serving Konrad Unsterb, Schröck would actually develop a fairly close relationship with the head of the Unsterb family, the two of them taking a number of much less than legal measures to slowly build up the Unsterb name, which had fallen far from its glory days following its failed investment in the Merckburger Fen. Decades passed where they worked hard. Schröck would be Konrad's best man on both of his marriages as well as occasionally watch over the children resulting from these marriages. It was thus an immense shame for him that when the family was attacked during a voyage, he failed to adequately protect the family, leading to the death of Konrad's second wife and the mutilation of his child.

Konstanze would hold her father responsible for the death of her mother, introducing a rift between father and daughter. Still, Konrad would take her with him to let her learn the trade and everything but all in all she never seemed to appreciate it. Or rather she appreciated it but did not appreciate him. Eventually Konrad would withdraw from business and politics and pass over his empire to his heir, tasking Schröck with serving her just as faithfully as he had served him. A task Schröck Blech intends to fulfil to his best, serving in the capacity of Head Butler ever since given the task and being one of Kostanze's most important support pillars.
Goals: Serve the Unsterb Dynasty just like his ancestors.

Name: Adele Edelweiß
Age: 23 Years
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian ok? *develops love interest in Lisbeth*
Race: Human
Appearance: https://static.zerochan.net/Izayoi.Saku ... 227682.jpg

Position/Status/Affiliation: Maid of Konstanze Unsterb. Soon to be transferred to Lisbeth.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Extremely proficient at using daggers and throwing knives. Well, versed in unarmed hand to hand combat as well. Very athletic and acrobatic. Also one of the best human maids money could have bought in western Lonriel.
Equipment: Atleast 6 daggers/throwing knives at all times as well as her maid uniform.

Personality: A quiet maid focusing a lot on her work. Efficiency and grace is the A and O of her endeavours. Once not occupied with work, she does tend to loosen up a little and get friendly with her master/mistress. However, before guests or strangers, a neutral facade is always kept.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Biography: Actually, this girl is a slave. She always was. She was born to a slave of the Company of the Forsaken and immediately ended up as a slave herself. Considering her youth, she was an object of special treatment by her slavers because she was very malleable. She was ripped from her mother the moment she didn't need her milk anymore. And after that she was raised to be a perfect maid, which was the advantage of her youth. They could turn her into anything they or their customers wanted her to be. She was in incredibly specializable product. Anyway, as said, they went the maid route with her since servants were always in high demand and all these old and rich geezers liked to have young women around them and doing their work. Of course though, she was also being trained in close combat and in the usage of hidden weapons like daggers and knives. The slavers knew that customers did like it when their actually loyal slaves and servants were also well capable of protecting them.

Anyway, when she turned 16 she ws purchased by the rich Anselmian merchant Konrad Unsterb who of course liked having another nice maid around in his manor. It was a big manor afterall. However, once he had brought her to his manor, he released her from slavery, saying that he did not wish to have people working for him in chains and then killing him in his sleep. He offered her a coach ride to any other side in Anselm if she wanted to find her luck somewhere else. However, he also offered her well paid work here in his mansion. Seeing as she couldn't quite understand what had just happened, having never before known what it meant to be no slave anymore, she just accepted his offer, inteding to still serve him.

In time, real gratitude and a sense of belonging swelled up within Adele, as she came to understand what Konrad had granted her. She came to enjoy how comparatively fair he treated her and that he actually paid her and even gave her holidays where she could spend her money. However, being the conscientious maid she was, she noticed that there was something deep within Konrad. A struggle, an old memory. Something that was causing him great pain. She believed it to be the death of his daughter and first wife. And she did whatever she could to ease his pain...by keeping every item that reminded of his family in pristine condition!

When the attack on the manor took place, she was currently out on a holiday, enjoying herself aka buying a new broom and other utensils for her work. Only when she returned did she find out about the attack and was about to set out to punish the mercenaries. But Konstanze forbade it and reminded her of her work contract, which bound her to her now. And so she's ben serving Konstanze since then.
Goals: To be the perfect maid and servant.

Name: Vivian Thorne
Age: 16 years
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Asexual
Race: Human
Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/N80nJju.jpg

Position/Status/Affiliation: One of the servants of Konstanze Unsterb.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Vast magical potential as well as a great aim. Knows all too well how to use these snazzy new guns yer makin'.
Equipment: She got one of your snazzy new guns, Thrac. Don't ask from where. One of the most powerful merchants worldwide has her sources.

Personality: Honestly? I really hate making personalities because my characters tend to end up different from their personality descriptions for which I tend to take forever because I just don't get any ideas for personalities. But I suppose for a henchmen character like her, a bland personality will do. The usual, cold, distant, focuses on efficiency. No such thing as pity left within her. Viciously evil when asked about her height.
Moral Alignment: Neutral Neutral
Biography: To be honest, she was a street urchin in Arys. And just like in every Anselmian city, life for the poor and unprivileged dregs of society is absolute hell on earth. It's a testimony to her skill that she managed to survive as long as she did, even though only barely. When she was only 13 years old, she had the incredible luck of falling half dead before the carriage of Konstanze Unsterb in Arys. And Konstanze was many things but clearly not heartless, She cared deeply about Anselm and at that time still hoped to do good for it by bettering the situation of those in the lower ranks of society.

And so she was taken with Konstanze to her father's manor where she learned to be a maid. And she was happy. She had food, clean clothes and a tidy room for herself. Her situation had become so much better. Well, that was untill the mercenaries attacked the mansion. And it showed Vivian just how weak she truly was. Yes, she may have been able to survive the streets, but surviving the streets usually did not account for armed soldiers really wanting to kill you. She watched as the people she had been living with were slaughtered and her new home painted red with the blood of its inhabitants. But she herself had incredible luck. For some odd reason, the mercenaries were called back. They retreated, leaving them alone but also taking whatever they wanted with them.

Later that day, Konstanze and the remaining servants left the manor. As one of the few remaining servants, Vivian became one of Konstanze's more important and trusted servants. In order to not fail her mistress' trust and to not be as helpless as she was when the mercenaries attacked, she started training how to fight. She soon found ranged weapons to be her forte and that she had an uncanny precision when it came to shooting. Indeed, her mistress was so impressed, she eventually gifted her a new weapon, a secret weapon. It apparently worked by using the magic of its bearer. At first Vivian didn't trust it, since she did not believe in magical weapons, nor did she think she had any magical potential. But her doubts evaporated when she used the gun for the first time. Not just was it deadly and fun to use, she was also capable of firing it which meant that he had actual magical potential. Fun times ahead.
Goals: Honestly? To get paid and eventually settle down and have a quiet life's eve.

Character Application

Name: Augustine de Velira, the fourth Lord of the estate of Velira
Age: 83
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Human
Appearance: Image
Height: 6'5 ft
Weight: 190lbs

Position/Status/Affiliation:Officially: A former general of the Empire of Achisia, now retired to his estate to live out what is left of his days in peace. Unofficially the leader of the Achisia Restoration Society, a pretty sounding name for an organization with one goal: the restoration of the Empire of Achisia and the driving out of the Council of Realms from their homeland. His affiliation with the group is a carefully kept secret and any public action the group takes seems to be charity aimed at the relief of their region from the damages the war caused and the rebuilding of their cities. Privately though they are gathering weapons and soldiers to throw the invaders out. His loyalty first and foremost is to Achisia.
Skills/Powers//Magic:
  • Father to his Men: He is capable of understanding the needs of soldiers under his command and can answer them, forming a bond with the soldiers under his command
  • Aged Master: In his youth he was an extremely skilled swordsman but in his advanced age he is not as skilled as he used to be, but is still formidable when it comes to his sword work
  • Former General - Empire of Achisia: Knows how to lead men into battle and plan campaigns
  • Defensive Master: His tactical ability truly shines when planning out and conducting defensive battles
  • White Magic - Strength: He knows some white magic that he uses to enhance his strength, he notes it comes in handy in his old age
  • White Magic - Speed: He knows some white magic that he uses to enhance his speed and reaction times, he notes it is useful for an old man like himself.
Equipment: He keeps a long sword mounted on the wall of his office that he can still use to protect himself but he does not favor it too much due to the weight and doesn't carry it on his person unless he needs it, but he never goes anywhere without his cane for protection. He wears a simple set of robes due to the fact most armor is too heavy for him to wear on a daily basis, he does keep a set of plate mail maintained just in case the need for it comes.

Personality: Despite his affiliation with the Empire and the seeing of his fair share atrocities he is not a horrible person, just bound by his oath of loyalty to the Emperor and having a deep love of his homeland, keeping a true lawful neutral disposition. Beyond that he has a brilliant tactical mind and has a deep love of his family and has a generally kind and honorable disposition but a sharp mind for politics. His loyalty to his empire, even after the war is what drives him in his restoration efforts, honestly believing that at the very least his homeland must be free from foreign occupation and rebuild itself. He absolutely detests necromancy and views it as an abomination but notes that pragmatically an army of the undead is useful and he couldn't just dismiss the usage of one during the war as he needed to win and that view is still true as much as he detests it.
Moral Alignment: Lawful neutral

Biography: The Empire, for all its faults was all I have ever known. Even if it is evil it was my home that I was willing to die for, to turn a blind eye to the atrocities committed by it, to its darkness.
Born into a noble family in the old Achisia Empire Augustine de Velira was raised learning about the military, being constantly drilled by a demanding father in military affairs and most of his education revolved around the military, the sword, and court affairs. From childhood he showed a brilliance for both the sword and the military, though his father was disappointed that it seemed he was better with defensive fighting than offensive fighting. When he was 18 he married in an arranged marriage with another House in the Empire and he did love his wife dearly and had several children with her but he also loved the military and his country. His military mind and potential drew the eye of the Emperor and, being guided through military groups, he achieved the rank of general at the age of 30. This caused him to be a part of all the generals who spent time planning and preparing for the Empire's war with its neighbors over the decades. Despite the changes in the Empire's military structure (i.e. bringing in undead, necromancers, evil mages, etc.) he still saw the value of maintaining normal human forces to supplement the more dark parts of the Imperial military, noting cold hard steel is needed just as much as magic and shadows if one is to conduct a successful war and maintain the victory. Despite all of this he believed deeply that his Empire, despite its faults, was ultimately correct and if it achieved the destiny it deserved then it could be reformed away from the shadows, away from darkness. During all this time he also maintained his family, being noted as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather by his children, grandchildren, and, eventually, great-grandchildren, also doing his best to keep them away from what he deemed to be the Empire's excesses.

The day before the war began the Emperor assembled his generals, he spoke of us about the superiority of Achisia, about how our greatness was on the horizon if we just reached for it, about the strength we were given by our great destiny and... and by the Shadows. We were stirred by his words and were willing to die at his command on that day had he bid it. It was that night I asked the Emperor for the honor of leading the first wave for the war that would bring the Empire to glory and he granted my wish... it was so childish in hindsight but that is how this old man felt on that day. Pride in serving my Empire.
Come the day of the start of the war, already a man of 73, he led his army, assigned to him by the Emperor, into battle against the neighboring nations, showing skill as a field commander and being one of those responsible for some of the Empire's early victories. His foes described him as a demon on the field with both command and personal skill with his sword but most at home in a defensive battle. An old man that couldn't be stopped thanks to the skill he had and the army at his disposal. And seeing the plans he worked on for decades being brought to fruition brought him deep satisfaction. After serving for three years in the war he retired, citing that his advanced age caused it to make more sense that someone younger take the reins from him. Some on the other side were relieved at this news.

If I may be so bold those last three years were the finest hour for myself and my men. We fought battle after battle, holding back armies twice our size. One could say the Empire didn't fall as quickly as it should have because of our sacrifices in the field. All for nothing thanks to the Emperor's madness.
A year later though, as the war began to turn against the Empire in earnest, he was recalled to active service by the Emperor and placed in command of an army where he oversaw some of the Empire's finest retreats, fighting and holding points that most would have thought long lost and leading long marches of retreat and even launching successful counterattacks, doing his best to win a war for an Emperor that he privately thought went mad. On the final day of the war he ordered the execution of the remaining necromancers in his army and sent his human soldiers home. After that he surrendered himself into custody. He was released due to advanced age and seemingly declining health and mental faculties.

Now I am nothing more than a warrior who time has forced to lay down his arms and rest in peace. I leave the running of my estate and many other things to my daughter and my great-grandchildren, who I have to keep from killing one another. That is what the Shadows can do to a family.
The destruction of the Empire he dedicated his life to and the death of his wife and a couple of his children has impacted his health greatly, both physically and mentally, but he does show signs of recovery. He lapses in and out of senility on occasion, sometimes believing himself to be answering to the Emperor, writing letters and field reports to him that his great-grandchildren dutifully burn and tell him they have been dispatched while his daughter watches over him. When he writes letters to his deceased wife they store them away. But when he is lucid, which is almost all the time, he displays a cunning and politically astute mind, one of his more lucid remarks about the old days being "If you wanted to get away with being any form of good or honorable in the old Empire and live you had to be good at politics and willing to bend even when every part of you said no". Showing a full awareness of the atrocities committed by the Empire but a willingness to do what he needed to do to survive and support his Empire. Keeping his support hidden he has been the model collaborator and is regarded by most, including in his underground organization, to have discarded the ideas of Achisia, accepting the Council's rule. All a facade he maintains so one day the homeland can be restored.

Religious faith to those we could call the good and just Gods was not too popular in court, me and my fellows had to meet in the shadows to honor our faith. It was something hard to hold onto in those dark days and many lost their lives for it. Not overtly mind you. No, mysterious illnesses, food poisoning, 'accidents', unexplained deaths, seemingly random murders... all were hazards we had to deal with. And those of us who survived, especially those of us who had to lead armies in the Emperor's name, found ourselves compromising our faith far too often. I think it amused the Emperor to watch us scurry around, trying to survive and maintain our faith. I still feel my failure to my Lady Cassia because of that war and I fear that my Lady Spraevia will find me unworthy when my judgment comes any day. For I failed both gravely.
He is a deeply religious man, abiding by faith in Goddesses Cassia and Spraevia and tries to use them to guide his life. Despite this faith though he does not have a positive opinion of The Ecclesiarchy, seeing the risk of falling to a similar darkness that took the Empire as a serious threat, seeing the corruption that plagues it as a violation of the faith, and even seeing it as an invader that must be driven out given its hold on former Imperial lands but he keeps his opinion to himself. If Achisia is to be restored it must be restored without the risk of another coalition invasion or upsetting the faith of the majority of the people.

Goals: When lucid: the restoration of the Empire or at least the liberation of the homeland from foreign occupation
When not lucid: the domination of the Empire at all costs

Character Application

Name: Solomon de Velira
Age: 22
Gender:Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Human
Appearance: Image
6'0 ft tall

Position/Status/Affiliation:Former noble from the Empire of Achisia, member of the Achisia Restoration Society
Skills/Powers//Magic:
  • Great-Grandson of Augustine de Velira: Being the great-grandson of General Augustine de Velira he was raised learning how to fight with the sword under his expert tutelage and thus he is very skilled with the sword, he also acquired an understanding of battlefield tactics.
  • Veteran of the War of the Seven Nations - Achisia: Serving in the Achisian Army under his great-grandfather means he can back up his sword training with actual experience and he knows what it is like to fight when pushed into a corner.
  • White Magic - Barrier Creation: Not much to say, he can use his magic to create barriers around himself and, at the cost of more mana, others.
  • White Magic - Healing: He is fairly apt at using healing magic and has practice form using said magic from the war.
Equipment: A sword given to him by his great-grandfather a set of armor with Achisia's symbols on them.

Personality: Despite him being a son of the Empire and his oath of loyalty to the Emperor back when he lived Solomon is a generous and magnanimous man. Polite and cunning, a patriot to his homeland. He is what could be called a good and honorable man and someone who would be more distinguished country gentry over someone who plays games at court. He possesses a deep love for his family and will always have that. Overall the perfect gentleman and noble, a patriot and a warrior. Someone that would not have been expected to be found in his fallen homeland. It is all a farce to cling to a fallen nation, to the dream of it and the dream of a better time
Moral Alignment: Lawful Good
Biography: Certainly the Empire was evil, anyone who fought for the Empire and does not acknowledge that is deluding themselves, but that does not mean it can't be reformed, that it can't be resurrected into a force of good and contribute good to our dark world. I have faith in Achisia.

Grandfather is a good and just man, a light in our lives, I believe with him at the helm good can be achieved in our fallen homeland
He was always looking forward to being old enough to join Augustine as a soldier under his command. He idealized and romanticized the idea of war, of honor, of champions meeting each other in single combat, and of war to be a trial between the strength and determination of two peoples. The war itself and the darkness in it shattered those feelings but he still fought on for his homeland as the fight turned into one on Achisia's soil believing until the very end that they can win this and redeem Achisia. He actually celebrated the death of the Emperor privately as it would allow for them to drive the invader out and reform their society when they won. He held onto those beliefs until the day his grandfather surrendered with Solomon still leading the troops that his grandfather assigned to him to lead, and lead he did as he led from the front whenever possible with his sister at his side.

My sister does not understand, autocratic rule like the old days can't be recreated, if Achisia is to rise again it cannot be as it was in the past. Those days are long gone. A new Achisia must be formed from the ashes of the old, but a stronger and better one.
After the end of the war Solomon took the fall harder than most, coming to the realization that his homeland was corrupt, that his Emperor had fallen, and that something new would have to be done for Achisia to regain her honor. That is why he advocates for a new Achisia, one free of the crimes of the past. One shaped to the ideals they had hoped the Emperor would embody, a return to the days the land was blessed by the light.

These days he frequently clashes with his elder sister even as they look out for their great-grandfather and maintain his estates. Despite that though they still have a love for each other and a sense of comradeship that comes from fighting in the war. He heads up security for the estate and ensures the guards are properly drilled.
Goals: The creation of an independent Achisia.

Character Application

Name: Illania de Velira
Age: 25
Gender:Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Human
Appearance:Image
5'11 ft tall

Position/Status/Affiliation: Former noble of the Empire of Achisia, member of the Achisia Restoration Society
Skills/Powers//Magic:
  • Great-granddaughter of Augustine de Velira: As the great-granddaughter of the Achisian General Augustine de Velira she learned how to use her magic on the battlefield to great effect while also inheriting the old general's ability to plan out strategies and campaigns. She also knows how to fight with a short sword and in hand to hand on Augustine's insistence.
  • Veteran of the War of the Seven Nations - Achisia: As a war veteran she knows her way around a battlefield, especially ones where the odds are stacked against her.
  • Black Magic - Fire: She possesses great talent when it comes to fire magic and uses it to great effect when in battle, having experience as a battlemage thanks to the war.
Equipment: A set of robes and an enchanted staff, the latter being the one she used in the war. A shortsword that she carries strapped to her waist too. She also tends to wear a form fitting leather armor underneath her robes so unless her robes are noted as form fitting, and she has several different sets of robes at home, presume she is wearing leather armor..

Personality: Illania is very much an autocrat, viewing the necessity of a ruling noble class over lesser classes as a matter of course and ultimately better for everyone. Her views of the Shadow is that it is a weapon that must be wielded carefully if it must be used at all. She respects and loves Augustine and loves her younger brother, even if she doesn't show it much. Like the aforementioned, she is absolutely dedicated to the restoration of Achisia and like them she detests necromancy.
Moral Alignment: Lawful Evil
Biography:Some might argue that the Empire was evil and that it is better that it is gone, but they are ultimately wrong, a structured and ordered Empire and society with all knowing their place... that is how greatness and peace are preserved. An Emperor at the top, the nobles supporting him, and them protecting and guiding the peasants. Such is the true order of nations.
The great-granddaughter of general Augustine de Velira, Illania de Velira had what could be considered a normal life for a noblewoman in Achisia but her Augustine saw to all aspects of her education as he did for much of her family. She found when she was young though to have a talent with fire magic so she worked on honing that instead of other martial studies but was still instilled with patriotism for her empire. As she grew up she grew to understand the positions of people in society, of the rights and privileges of the nobility but also their duties to lesser people.

Grandfather conducted great campaigns, led our forces into glorious battles and won victory after victory even though we were losing the war. How could we think anything besides the fact that he was one of the greatest military leaders to ever live?
She served in the war and fought with distinction as a battlemage, combined with her younger brother's skill as a warrior the pair were unrivaled on the field. The dominance of Achisia was always on her mind, and the victory of her Emperor. She never left her brother's side unless it was required and they worked together to bring victory to General de Velira.

My brother... well I do love him but he needs to stop kidding himself, the Empire will not be restored with niceties, only with violence. The restoration will demand war and violence and we must be willing to use any weapon or magic that we need to use if it helps us achieve the victory we need. He must understand no matter what. He has to if we are to have any hope at the restoration of our homeland. He has to...

Nowadays she clashes frequently with her younger brother, arguing over the necessity of the restoration of the old order or following a new path. Needless to say she supports the old order. A new Empire built upon the old one and asserting its dominance over other countries. An Empire where the rights and powers of the nobility to rule over others is held sacrosanct. She is confident her brother will see the light as he is a noble and understands his duties as one.

Goals: The restoration of the Empire of Achisia to its former glory, the rise of House de Velira to great heights.

Name: Silvia de Velira
Age: 18 (assumed, she isn't completely sure)
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race: Human
Appearance:Image

Position/Status/Affiliation: Adoptive daughter of General Augustine de Velira (so technically Solomon and Illania's great-aunt despite being younger than them), member of the Achisian Restoration Society.
Skills/Powers//Magic:
  • Former Street Urchin: Her experience with living on the streets and stealing to survive means she has a talent for sneaking around or blending in while being quick on her feet.
  • Adoptive Daughter of General Augustine de Velira: As Augustine de Velira's adoptive daughter that he raised as his own she has some knowledge of military affairs and tactics as well as being passable when it comes to sword combat.
  • The General's Assassin: Where she shined during the war though was the art of spying and assassination, relying on what she learned as a child and honing it with other servants of the Emperor, all in the service of her father.
  • Imperial Assassin - Apprentice: Received training as an assassin back during the war and, while she isn't a master by any means, she is talented at it and had the war lasted longer she would have risen far by most estimates.
  • Veteran of the War of the Seven Nations - Achisia: While not seeing combat as much as her niece and nephew she knows her way around a battlefield and knows how to survive one.
Equipment:
  • Various mementos from her time on the streets
  • Various knives and poisons for her work
  • A shortsword
  • Some sets of plain clothes
  • Leather armor

Personality: She is absolutely and fanatically loyal to her adoptive father, to such an extent Illania states that she almost worships the ground he walks on. She is ruthless in fighting her father's enemies and dealing with threats to him. Beyond that she is a polite enough girl and does have a nice streak, especially to orphans. She hides her rather low self-esteem due to not being of noble blood unlike her father (which feeds into her complex about being adopted and not being her father's actual daughter) and that means she doesn't know all of the complexities of being a noble and it shows in her dealings with other nobles. She can pass for a noble to most of society but not to someone completely raised in nobility. But she has gotten good at pretending so she can at least trick them for sometime.
Moral Alignment: Doesn't have a true alignment, all things considered, she has no conscience, Augustine de Velira is her conscience.
Biography:
Father saved me from the streets. He saw a poor orphan girl, a small child, trying to survive and took her in out of the kindness of his heart. I owe him everything.
Silvia de Velira, the adoptive daughter of the great General Augustine de Velira. A girl who has no memories of her life before the streets, not even a name, her name being given to her by Augustine when he took her in 13 years ago. He would later say "I saw potential in her and something drew me to that girl in a way." He soon adopted her giving her his family's name and was actually happy to have a young daughter again. He taught how to act and behave like a noble and raised her himself. When the war broke out she accompanied him into the field and that was where she got her first kill when she killed an assassin who was there to claim her father's head.

I do not have the genius of you, Father, nor the brilliance of the sword and charisma that Solomon has, nor the skills of Illania when it comes to magic. So I do what I know to do to help you with your goals.
While her father (mostly) disapproves she takes upon herself the more seedy work of being an assassin and spy, offing her father's enemies as she deems needed. She does it out of obligation to him and because of a desire to be of use to him in the ways she knows how. This practice dates back to when she was 13 with her first assassination of an enemy officer when she snuck into the opposing camp and delivered the local commander's head to her father's desk. Augustine was not truly happy with this development as it went against the concept of honorable war that he had tried to drill into his family but he admitted that he needed every tool he could get as he knew he was fighting a losing war so he had to make use of her talents and that he supported her receiving training from the Emperor's other assassins.

These days she accompanies her father on most trips and such that people who don't know she is his daughter at first think she is an attendant to the old general which just annoys her but also reminds her that there is no way for outsiders to tell, she isn't his real daughter after all. Otherwise she just spends her time reading in the estate and ensuring it is clean.

Goals: Ensuring her father's goals come to pass, maintaining this home she found.

RP Sample: A Bosnian terrorist walked into Sarajevo and, as a result, all intelligent people thought killing each other with machine guns and mustard gas was a swell idea.

Also holy crap I can't stop laughing at the discount Remilia Scarlet and discount Izayoi Sakuya things. So true, man. So true. And yet Lisbeth has so much less charisma. XD

I might as well drop a tag now too.

Kinda wanted to spring my return to NS here, but Trace already beat me to the punch. :p

Was recently watching it so I felt like making a character with a picture in it. Was a competition between Sayuri or Mito for image though. :P

I just love that series, I've watched the anime and I'm slowly but surely reading the manga xD

Parts of the vampire lore for this were inspired by it, though, Eastern European folklore plays a much bigger role there.

And I probably wouldn't have been able to decide between the two had I been in your position :P

The Owari no Seraph LN?

Not yet.

I do have them in pdf format, but I just never had the time to do so.

And I read a manga only until after a chapter or two after where the anime's story stopped.

But I want to continue the manga and to start reading the light novels at some point.

Ah. A lot of people have said the LN is better written. It is a prequel though, so it doesn't follow Yuu and company. Found that out after I caught up to the latest chapter in the manga and tried to continue the story via the LN. xD

Anyway, I just have to the say that the later manga chapters get really out there in a direction that you wouldn't expect. (For good or worse). Had to take a break from it as a result lol.

Oh, yeah, they are prequel novels, I remember now xD

Well.. I'm not sure what will happen, but I still want to read them. Hopefully nothing too bad will happen xD

Oh, don't get discouraged lol. The manga is still entertaining. I just wish there was a little bit more detail in between scenes that precede the bigger plot points.

Tbh, I also wish Wit didn't skimp out when adapting the anime. I feel they put more effort into AoT and Kabaneri than they did with Seraph.
