Don't really know what to have her say at the moment

Well, it's understandable, I'll try to move the action there forward

But it would help if you would at least have her say whether she accepts or rejects the gift - there won't be any immediate consequences, but it will play a role later on

And completely coincidentally that time coincides with Meta and Kiryl finally tying the knot.

Im in the process of writing my Character's bio and I need to know, did the tribes of Yazgiria take any sides during the war or did they fight everyone regardless of allegiance?

As a whole, the tribes did not fight in the war, as they decided not to take any sides, but they did not stop their usual raiding campaigns during the war, so yes, they essentially fought everyone regardless of allegiance.

Gotchu, and before I write anything I want to see if its approved that the tribes attacked the Velikiya during the war due to the latter intruding on the plains which ended in a massive losses for the Host, with several tribes even disbanding all together. Is that okay?

The intrusion on the plains probably was due to local nobles from Velikiya rather than Velikiya itself, but it would be possible.

As for the losses, it's a bit tough to estimate them. Now, Yazgirians are organized in tribes, tribes are organized in banners, and banners are then organized in Arrows, of which there are eight such groups.

It's very possible and likely for the Yazgirians to have suffered massive losses and for tribes or even banners to have been disbanded due to it, but the Eight Arrows themselves should still exist, and presumably the Yazgirians as a whole have recovered from those losses until the present.

Oh I see. I'll keep the general details of the conflict vague but will follow that outline the same.

Could you go in a bit more detail over the banners, and the Arrows?

In times of peace, each tribe does whatever it so wishes, with their own traditions, organization, and so on. In times of war, so either when Yazgiria is threatened or multiple tribes wish to go to war, several tribes are organized under the leadership of the best leader and under that leader's banner.

Arrows are a bit different, in that they're the original form of division. The legend claims that Yazgiria was founded when two warrior-sisters were granted two bows and four magical arrows each by the Two Mothers, the deities of the Yazgirians, and then went on to conquer and to unify the tribes. The two sisters then went on to reorganize the tribes, and each tribal lineage of the present can be tied back to an original leader who received one of those magical arrows from one of the sisters.

Technically by "Arrow" you could refer to both the entire group of tied tribes, which usually happens in times of war when all of Yazgiria is called to battle and multiple banners are reorganized together based on lineage, and also to the original tribe that is in possession of said magical arrow. Those original tribes act as the highest members of Yazgirian society. They are sometimes known as the "tips of the arrows", to differentiate them from the entire lineage/family of tribes.

Fascinating. So what I plan to do is that my character's tribe saw itself nearly destroyed during the war and it dissipated with many of them going on to different tribes or becoming Free People. The Arrows remains intact but I want to basically make it that several tribes simply lost too many people to continue being real tribes. Its part of my character's vibe that he is bitter and saddened over this since his tribe was a family and it was all lost in the blink of an eye, his is essentially a story about letting the past go.

One thing that you should keep in mind is that Yazgiria is a matriarchal society. Men aren't necessarily stopped from becoming warriors or holding important positions, but are nearly always at a disadvantage compared to women, even more so due to the Yazgirian religion.

Yeah with that in mind I plan to make it so that he also feels that his life and the life of many of his fellow warriors had little meaning to the Mathriarchs, because their tribe (being one where there were more male warriors than women) was seen as expendable or taboo to a degree. I'll play that aspect of resentment against the overall Yazgirian people.

So the Yazgirian character you're making isn't some amazoness-type? A pity. :p
Formerly Videssos. Just a femboy-obsessed degenerate. Also interested in history, mythology, fantasy, science fiction, metal and some other stuff.
A little bird told me, "Go, Go! Socialise! Talk to those fine people! And then, KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! Plunge your knife into their throats when they ain't lookin', and then burn 'em to the ground!"
Well that's silly, isn't it?

I was toying with that idea at first, but i opted to have someone who embodies a spirit of internal struggle and identity. Like kind of the opposite of Mulan in some ways.
