Character Application
Name: Adrien Stillwater/Aldunax
Age: 250 (Appears 21 - 25)
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Race: Shapeshifted Dragon.
Appearance:
Human Form:
Height: 5'9|Weight: 175 Pounds.
Dragon Form
13 meters long, 3 meters tall, and 12 metric tons.
Position/Status/Affiliation: Mercenary, Shapeshifted Dragon in hiding, currently in Namenlosen, Anselm, to lead the Army of the Free Soil.
Skills/Powers//Magic:
Leadership and Command - Adrien/Aldunax, in his long life, has served under many skilled commanders of sellswords and mercenaries, and occassionally led a few when circumstances permitted, only to cede command at the first opportunity. This has given him knowledge of military tactics, strategy, and logistics, as well as a way of handling the wide range of personalities his subordinates show. And while not naturally charismatic, Adrien/Aldunax can and is able to imitate a wide range of behaviors considered 'inspiring' and 'encouraging'.
Weapons Master - Name a weapon, and chances are that Adrien/Aldunax knows how to use it. Nevertheless, Adrien/Aldunax prefers swords due to a good blade marking their holder as someone of high status in human society, and after that, axes and maces, with his least favorite weapon being the spear due to how it's frequently associated with dragon-slaying, same for bows and arrows.
Oath Magic (White and Black) - Adrien/Aldunax had learned Oath Magic from a variety of masters, and specializes in the more practical, pragmatic kinds. Although able to wield 'normal' Fire, as well as Water and Frost (as part of learning how to cover his identity), Adrien/Aldunax has learned to appreciate healing magic and magic which boosts morale and adrenaline, knowing full well that being able to dispel fear is what made a good mercenary.
Ancient Fire Magic - Adrien/Aldunax, even in his human form, can control and conjure fire without the need for a word, manifesting flames with thought alone. He can also magically alter the temperature and physical properties of his flames so that they are only mildly warm and do not burn any matter. And of course, he can alter the color of his fire to any conceivable hue. Note that Adrien/Aldunax does not use this power much, or if he does, he carefully disguises it as 'Oath Magic', uttering fake words of power to make it look like his spells have a verbal requirement.
Draconic Shapeshifting - Adrien can change into a number of human or humanoid forms, an adaptation needed to survive as a Dragon in a hostile world of adventurers and would-be hunters. He can change the appearance of said forms, able to age up to an old man in their eighties (or equivalent) or youth in their late teens or early twenties.
Draconic Original Form - And finally, Adrien can change to his original Draconic Form, Aldunax, which not only has full access to his Ancient Flame Magic, but also immense strength, sharp claws, and wings capable of magical flight which can carry him several leagues in mere hours.
Equipment:
Personal Equipment:
- 1x Plate Armor.w/ Red Cape.
- 1x Runeblade with engraved script which negates the need for polishing, cleaning, and keep the blade magically sharp.
- 1x Dagger.
- 5x Healing Potions.
- 1x Enchanted Bag of Holding containing the Skull of Alextresenaax, his mother. Said Skull has long since ceased to hold any significant magical power.
All items are magically absorbed into his Dragon Form when he shapeshifts.
The Army of the Free Soil:
- 200 Professional Infantry, a mix of ex-slaves from military or mercenary backgrounds armed in chainmail or breastplates and armed with pikes, halberds, and swords.
- 50 Yeoman Archers, recruited from Anselm's remaining Yeomen class + Half-Loroi ex-slaves.
- 25 Professional Cavalry, a mix of ex-slaves from military or mercenary backgrounds, armed in a mix of mail and plate armor.
- 35 Light Cavalry, a mix of ex-slaves and small landowners who can afford riding horses, and are armed with leather armor, long spears, shields, and cleavers.
- 24 Karraki Ex-Slaves with Zweihanders and chainmail, although a few have plate armor.
- 30 Herbalists/Apochetaries with minor magical training to increase the effectiveness of their healing herbs.
Personality: Adrien Flamebringer/Aldunax is a cynical soul, one whose experience of the best and worst of humanity has convinced him that any good thing must be fought for and even then cannot last forever. He has seen the fall of noble houses, merchant companies, and individual households, and with Achysia's fall, has seen the centuries-long political landscape shattered. Knowing that he is likely to outlast any friends he has, any adopted family he gains has also soured him on forming close ties with other folk, and so he keeps himself closed off and distant from other people. Nevertheless, it also means that anyone who gains his respect and affection is likely to keep it for the rest of their lives. In short, he is an example of how long life can be a blessing and a curse, especially when it is spent among people who are much shorter-lived than he is...
Moral Alignment: True Neutral with Good tendencies.
Biography: Aldunax was born among a small family of Dragons, the last hatchling of Alextresenaax, an Elder Dragon which had survived since the Age of Cleansing. He was taught how to fly, how to use his fire magic, and how to shapeshift into a variety of forms, even as he played with his brothers and sisters in the high mountains which made up their home in the mountains of Anselm. Then one day, rumors of a Dragon attracted the attention of one of the Thierarchs of that era, and he led a force of Faith Keepers and Scripture Knights to kill Alextresenaax and her brood. Aldunax fought alongside his siblings to protect their mother and her consort but was ordered to flee alongside said siblings when said consort was killed, and Alextresenaax knew that she had to lay down her life for her surviving children.
Aldunax fled, and never saw his mother again.
The following decades were spent living among humans, using what his mother taught him of their ways to learn how to live among people. He spent those times as a peasant or yeoman, before being conscripted into a local lord's army as a common soldier and acquitting himself well, but not too well in battle. Eventually, Aldunax, under a variety of names, found himself becoming a mercenary, venting the trauma of his past by constantly fighting, with a special tendency to harass and humiliate those who served the Faith and the Scriptures. However, he only took on positions of leadership when emergencies struck or when he was confident that he can hide his true identity, and even then, he always made sure he had an escape route...
He also sired children twice during that time - One was a boy who was faced with prejudice and hardship and eventually hunted down, one was a girl who learned to hide her powers and live a long and happy life. Nevertheless, each of their deaths left holes in Aldunax's heart which did not heal easily, adding another incentive not to have children.
In his last fifty years, Aldunax spent a long period of rest in Arghyo, obeying the local laws and associating with some of the few beings older than him - This lasted until he was informed that the skull of his mother was being used as a trophy by some Anselmnian noble. And so Aldunax left Arghyo in secret, losing the protection of its laws and its rulers, in order to recover the skull by force (he also bought an enchanted bag which can hold it).
After recovering the skull, Aldunax planned to escape the Anselmnian noble's castle, but on his way out, found one of his daughter's Part-Dragon descendants enslaved, with the intention of turning him into a gladiator when he was older. Needless to say, Aldunax whisked him off to township of Namenlosen, where one of his contacts in Arghyo can be called for help. Said contact was Kyle Perrin-Palaiologos, who agreed to hire someone to remove his descendant's Slave Crest as payment for his service. And so Aldunax, taking on the name Adrien Stillwater, began to raise the Army of the Free Soil in the mountains near the town, in order to secure the safety of his descendants, which logic said probably numbered more than the boy he rescued...
Goals: Rescue his descendants from enslavement. Also fight, win, not be bored. And finally, find a place where he can spend the next century in peace now that he's left Arghyo.

Faal Lot Himdah wrote:As discussed with Thrace... Az's updated AppCharacter Application
Name: Az'goxaak, goes by Az, the Forgotten Prince, the Eternal Hermit of the Misty Forest
Age: Doesn't remember, nor does he care
Gender: He is male, but his current body is female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Race: Prince of Hell, currently possessing the body of a human adventurer
Appearance:(Image)
*Note: Stands 157 cm (about 5'2") and weighs secret
Position/Status/Affiliation: Formerly Heaven, then formerly Hell, now, just himself
Skills/Powers//Magic:
- The Trickster's Veil - Az is capable of creating realistic illusions. These illusions are only limited by the amount of mana Az puts into them. They can be simple auditory or visual illusions all the way to tactile, auditory and visual illusions. These illusions can also have an effect on the mind, causing confusion, disorientation, and certain sensations, such as pain. Despite some of the illusions he creates being tactile, Az can not use them to cause physical harm. As such, a tactile illusion of a swinging sword will just phase through a target, causing no physical harm. That said, he can still cause the sensation of pain with the illusion.
- Healing - Despite coming from the darkness of Hell, Az originally hails from the Heavens. So, it is really no surprise that he is capable of some degree of healing magics. That said, he is no expert at healing. As such, he is limited to healing relatively minor wounds at the cost of his own mana. Simply put, if the damage does not include the severing of a limb, or certain fatal injuries, he might be able to heal it with enough of his mana. This healing magic can be used on both himself and others.
- Enhanced Body - Due to Az faking his own death, he can't draw on his theoretical power limit when possessing a body. As such, his natural physical abilities and reaction speed can not be transfered over as long as he wishes to remain secret. As such, he uses strategically placed magic symbols, carved into the flesh, to enhance the body he possesses. He enhances it to be greater than a normal human and similar to some supernatural creatures. That said, there are beings on the mortal plane that can easily overpower him.
- "Immortal Body" - Using his magic, Az is capable of keeping the body he possesses from aging. Thus he keeps the body in the state he obtained it, preventing it from decaying. Again, due to his situation, this is not passive, and thus he must reapply the magic every few years.
- Immortal Soul - As Az is only possessing a body, if that body is rendered unusable, he can simple leave it and possess a new body. If there is no new body around for possessing, he could theoretically possess an animal or object until a suitable mortal body can be located. Therefore, to kill Az, you would either need to kill his soul, or kill him within his real body in Hell.
- True Sight - Az is a master of illusions and a Prince of Hell. These two factors come together nicely, granting Az true sight. This allows him to see through illusions, making him nearly immune to magic trickery through illusions. He is also capable of seeing a mortal's soul, and as such, judging them and in some cases, allow him to predict how they would react.
- Hell-Fire Manipulation - Az is capable of using his mana to create and manipulate hell-fire to an expert degree. He can shape them as projectiles, launching them at enemies. Az can also create a burst of hell-fire at a location. He can shape it into weapons and objects. Really, the only limit is his imagination and mana.
- The Az'goxaak's Defense - A form of defensive magic employed by Az. He surrounds himself and those within three feet of him with a magic field. This magic force field is highly resistant to both magic and physical attacks. However, he can not attack from within it, which is part of why it is such a strong defensive magic. The toll this magic has on Az is quite heavy, and it requires a great level of focus to maintain.
- Banishment - Simply put, Az can banish lesser dezians of Hell back into its depths.
- Az'goxaak's Wrath - Perhaps the most powerful magic Az is capable of mustering given his current situation. This magic is pure destruction through raw power. It takes a while to cast, and requires focus. Az must focus on his mana, thoughts and emotions while embracing his infernal legacy. Embracing hate, anger and other negative emotions. Once everything is ready and focused, he can release the magic. It appears as an orb of impossibly dark black energy, with red lightning arching around it. When the orb makes contact with anything, it explodes, engulfing a 20 foot radius area in a massive explosion. This explosion destroys just about anything. The shockwave from the explosion travels outward causing more damage that decreases as it travels further from the explosion. Once the explosion stops, the area it engulfed would be burning with Hell-fire. If Az was not restricted by his situation, this maigc could be far more powerful.
- Skillful Fighter - Despite Az falling more into the role of a trickster who is reliant on magic, Az's capability when fighting with classical weapons is not to be overlooked. He was originally a warrior for the Heavens after all. So, while he is no master with arms, he is still fairly proficient with them.
Equipment:
- The armour in the image
- Coin Purse with a modest amount of gold
- A longsword
- A set of throwing knives
- A journal kept by the original soul of his new body
- Potions and antidotes
- A locket belonging to the original soul of his new body
- Other supplies an adventurer would have
Personality: Az is perhaps the chillest Prince of Hell one can meet, with seemingly not a worry in the world. While all the others are all about plunging the world into whatever the hell they want to do, Az just wants to live his day to live in simple peace and quiet. He is extremely light hearted, and those who are lucky enough to get to know him know that he loves to make jokes and acts a bit like a benevolent trickster. Az does however have a serious side, and his serious side is seriously scary. Only when he gets seriously pissed is it believable that he is a Prince of Hell, as his demonic nature becomes more visible, the demonic nature that Az has struggled throughout his time on the mortal plane to suppress.
Moral Alignment: Neutral Chaotic
Biography:The story of the Forgotten Prince, Az'goxaak, begins in the Heavens. Originally, Az'goxaak went by a different name and served the forces of the Heavens. His original name was Asteroth and he served as a well known warrior for the goddess Aurora. He fought, and grew frustrated with the Heavens. He sought freedom, he sought to live a life where he could work towards his own desires, and not the wills of the Heavens. This lead to him turning his back on the Heavens, and falling of his own will.
When he feel, he began his life in Hell, and unknown to Az, would begin the most miserable time of his life. Arriving in Hell, he began to serve Achlysa, and would eventually become known as Az'goxaak as he became a Prince of Hell. Az quickly moved his way up the hierarchy of Princes, reaching the upper echelons due to the nature of his existence. That said, he never cared for power and climbing the hierarchy, all he cared about was living a life for himself. He quickly found that Hell was much worse for his dream then the Heavens. He still served a diety, and had to worry about other Princes wanting to kill him, fight him, or otherwise overthrow his position.
As such, he made a decision. If the Heavens or Hell could not give him the freedom he desired, then, he would have to turn to Lonriel. Of course, he couldn't just leave his service of Achlysa without any reprocutions and settle down in the mortal plane. Unless he could make everyone who knew about him believe he was dead. And with that thought, a plan came together in Az's mind.
This plan, at its most simplistic, was to possess a mortal body at the end of their life, spread rumours of a Prince of Hell on the mortal plane undergoing preparations to bring an army from Hell to Lorniel. A Prince who could only be defeated by a mortal hero with a special sword, in reality, his sword from the time he fought for the Heavens. Of course, Az would not die, instead he would use his magic to make it appear as if he did, and then retire away from everything. To his surprise, his plan seemed to work, and only after a few hundred years of looking over his shoulder was he ready to finally relax and settle on the shores of an isolated lake.
Eventually, his quiet life on the lake came under threat. A new mortal race appeared, and started to settle around his lake. He decided that instead of risking interaction, he would just leave. After leaving, he searched for a new place to settle down. He found it in the form of a lake surrounded by forest. Determined to keep this place to himself, he shrouded the surrounding forest in a powerful and permanent illusionary mist.
As time passed, the occasional person would stubble upon the lake, who he’d welcome more often than not, giving them some aid if they required it along with something to eat and a place to sleep for a night, but no one was able to find the lake twice, and thus Az was able to live in peace. It was this that helped build a legend around him, as the Eternal Hermit of the Misty Forest, which happens to be located in the current Kingom of Duivene. Though he didn’t live in complete isolation of the world. He would occasionally leave the lake to go obtain information on the greater world via books. Over the years, his personal collection of books grew, even as many were lost to the rest of the world. As such, he was forced to constantly rebuild his home, to make room for his collection.
Recently, Az left his lake once again, to obtain more knowledge of the world, and boy did he. He went from meeting with a heroic princess, who tired to kill him. This would become a pattern. Az would then go on to encounter an artificial angel and the knight who was protecting her, and once again, someone tried to kill him. Before the attempted murder by the knight, an unknown god also met with Az, and really rubbed Az the wrong way. After all that, Az met with some less than savory characters, who to be far, only attempted to kill Az after he started the fight. But then he went with them to meet with the Archbishops of the Cult of Sin, where he made his intent clear. No longer would he be isolating himself, now he will act for the good of the mortal realm.
Goals: It was to live a peaceful, and simple life, and not have to worry about the politics of Heaven and Hell, but now... its to make sure he can go back to living a peaceful and simple life without worrying about Heaven and Hell.

As for his reward, well, Pride did mean it - he is willing to give him whatever reward he wants as long as he can do it

I was thinking that some of Sitri's usual shenanigans would get him in quite a bit of trouble if he asked for them.
While he might be okay with all sorts of brutal treatment, the "permanently murdered" bit is a bit too much for him. Sitri's probably like "Well, I guess a BDSM orgy with Pride is off the table, then, hmm..."
But yeah, I guess the reward could either be something that would be beneficial for the Cult of Luxuria somehow (directly or indirectly), or perhaps something that would personally benefit him (or that at least he would like, such as some sort of thing/object/magic/curse/creature/individual/whatever that can provide the hedonistic demon prince with a new source of pleasure and pain).
