What exactly do you mean by a pseudodragon? A half-dragon, a hybrid of some sorts, or something else?

As for a human familiar, I'm not sure what to say. At least in this world's lore, most of the familiars are animal spirits that can be summoned into a physical form in order to help their master. Do you want to have a human spirit under your control, or do you just want to control a human being?

Good. I don't like discord. :D

That makes four of us then. Five if you include Trace. :p

Relic App

Names: Iris
Type: Iris could be considered cursed, as those who enter contracts with her always gain great power, fame, and fortune, but always suffer a miserable, painful end.
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: While Iris does not like to associate with humans, it could be said that she is likely heterosexual
Race: Human, though sometimes she appears as a Loroi
Form as an object: Iris most often takes the form of a simple, plain, barebones katana katana, though she will change form into a beautiful, intricate katana if she deems her wielder worthy of her full potential.
Form as a being: Iris most often appears as a beautiful young woman with long black hair of either the human or loroi race
Appearance: (Image) (Image)

Position/Status/Affiliation: Iris currently holds no contract with anyone. Rather she just wanders the land of Anselm, though she is frequently tracked down by members of the sixteen scriptures, specifically the scriptures of the evening star, due to her ability to easily slay monsters.
Skills/Powers//Magic: Not only is Iris a well made sword in her regular relic form, she also has the ability to slay demons and most monsters more efficiently. Her blade is sharp enough to slash through a dragons scales, and her edge can be enchanted to instantly slay unholy beings such as demons, creatures brought forth by methods of necromancy, vampires, and spirits. She also brings her user great fortune throughout their time wielding her in battle.

Personality: Iris is quiet, polite, courteous, and oftentimes overly formal, even to the point of coming off as cold and unfriendly. She is mistrustful of most sentient beings, and prefers to keep away from those who would want to form contracts with her. Though she has a very long fuse, when she gets pissed off, it’s not very pretty, and those who typically do piss her off don’t usualy have the tongue required to tell the tale.
Moral Alignment: Depends on who she’s in a contract with
History: Iris has had exactly five contracts that she can remember. They all ended in the death of the mortal who made a contract with her. Iris has a constant streak of bad luck, in which the people who wield her always die in painful, horrid ways. The most devastating loss was when she fell in love with one of the men she held a contract with. He died in battle wielding her, and she was forced to bear witness to his death, being unable to move of her own accord due to her want to keep her identity as a relic hidden.
Goals: Iris’s goals are the goals of her wielder
Theme Song:(Optional, a song could be nice, but many people don't like it.)

It looks alright to me!

Having a cursed relic that is actually good against unholy beings is a little.. unique, but there is no reason for why such a weapon couldn't exist. Still, even if relics are indestructible, its user should be a little careful - since this specific relics breaks the pattern, it will probably be a little weaker against holy elements and beings.

Character Application

(I highly suggest that you should read the OOC and parts of the Lore prior to filling this out, as they can help you when creating an app.)
(Fill it out as requested.)
(Erase everything in parentheses when finishing the app)

Name: Zorya Lehzen
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Pan
Race: Human
Appearance: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7c/aa/ad ... 9ad52a.png

Position/Status/Affiliation:(What do they do for a living? Are they part of any organizations? Are they loyal to anyone in particular? Stuff like that.)
Skills/Powers//Magic: Black Magic, although she very much wishes she could wield Ancient Magic and is on a mission to figure out if this is a possibility.
Equipment: A book of spells, equipment that witches would typically carry around like potions and a wand.

Personality: Zorya is actually pretty friendly to most people, and has an outgoing personality. She has a great reverence for magic and respect for what it can do. She'll help people out, usually for a price or if it benefits her or her long-term goal (she never claimed to be selfless), and can be quite scary when she gets angry or reckless when bored. It can be hard for her to deal with being overwhelmed and she can freak out when under too much pressure. However, when she does genuinely care about someone she will be selfless for them.
Moral Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Biography: Zorya is the daughter of a Kartaran pirate named Avedren and his lover, a young witch named Zena who made a base with her coven in Calaria. The two had met when Avedren and his men had come to the shores injured from both a recent major battle and the storm they had fought through to get here. They had wandered into the forest where he got separated from his men, and Zena stumbled upon him. After she had brought him to the house where her coven was stationed, she saw to his wounds and the two became close. When he had fully healed, he found that his men had left without him, taken his ship and everything. He was furious, but it wasn’t all bad since he had fallen in love with Zena. They married in secret and shortly afterward, Zorya was born. She was raised with her mother's coven, and was considered a special child because she was born on a night known as Witches’ Night...the night of a lunar eclipse which is considered an especially magical day in some witch circles.

While Zorya grew up, she learned the mysteries of the arcane taught by her mother, and her father would take her sailing and teach her all about the sea, although she leaned much more toward the magical side of things. She was torn between learning Black or White magic, she couldn't really decide and found it frustrating that humans could only wield one, but she decided on Black because the spells tended to have more offensive power. The problem was that she was too damn curious and tended to muck around trying to experiment when she was young, instead of channeling her power like she was trained and this often got her into trouble. An example was her trying to practice magic during a storm, hoping maybe to harness the energy of the lightning and amplify her spell. Ended up getting struck by lightning, and it was thanks to the quick intervention of her mother that she survived, although she has permanent lightning scars on the right side of her face as well as most of her body now. And she had bouts of pain for years that still continue to this day...it was a harsh and painful lesson although it did give her a whole new respect for magic and made her take it much more seriously.

Goals: To be the greatest witch alive and form a coven of her own, maybe even get a court position.

Well, the app itself still needs a little work, but I hope that I'm not too annoying, but I'd really like to all the fields of the app completed and the parentheses removed :P

Now, for the information in the app itself, it's good, but I have to mention a few things. Lonriel has three moons. They still lack names for the time being, but there basically is a larger one, which has a dark-ashen color and many craters forming intricate models on its surface, while certain areas tend to glow at night as if they are covered by lava or fire. Two other smaller moons are orbiting around it - one of it is blue and green with what looks to be oceans and lands, and the other one is white, completely covered in what people think to be ice.

Normally, the larger moon seems to be the further away from Lonriel, and there are of course many eclipses. That's why I'm not sure what you mean by that Witches' Night.

Watching it from a purely magical perspective, being born during any of the eclipses could grant mortals strong magical powers. However, if you wish to have it be a little more special, there is a special event that happens once every seven years. The Night of the Bloody Moon, when the two smaller moons disappear behind the larger one, and for an unknown reason, the larger moon starts to glow in a bloody crimson color for most of the night. It would require you to alter your character's age a little, since the next one will happen soon in the IC. Strange things happen during this night, and it basically this world's equivalent of a magical Walpurgisnacht.

I should also mention that, while humans do generally have to focus on one side of the magical spectrum, it doesn't mean that they are restricted to it. Mages that use white magic find it difficult to wield spells of the dark, and vice-versa, but it's not impossible - just really, really difficult. So while your character is going to be a black magic mage, she would still be able to use some white magic spells.

Three moons? For some odd reason I feel reminded of Skyrim. Need to start it up and look at its night sky a little more.

I've been looking at some of the lore, and it would be nice if there was at least a fairly rudimentary timeline/chronology with which to place various events, the formation of kingdoms and other such things in.
As a historian, the lack of a timeframe beyond "recent happenings" and "long, long ago," irks me a bit. :p

I'm still working on one..

I've mainly been stuck on creating a calendar for this. The easiest thing to do would be to use the Calamity as the beginning of the human calendar, and just go normally from there.

The alternative was to have a system that is a little more complicated. I'm not sure how to explain it, but basically, there would be cycles of sixteen years. Each of them honoring one of the Gods. So like, the First Year of Aurora and all the way up to First Year of Odium, and then the cycle would move on, with the Second Year of Aurora, and so on.

I like the idea, but it would be a little bit too complicated.

I'm afraid that I'm going to ask you to effectively divide it into two apps, one for the pseudodragon, and one for the companion, since it's a little too complicated and confusing to have them both in the same app xD

Oh dear. I’ve written myself into a corner. My character goes from town to town killing specific people, but now I have to figure out what he’s trying to achieve by murder. I also have to figure out if I want him to be genuinely evil, or if I want him to have a change of heart and start acting as a mercenary/monster hunter to help people because he realizes the error of his ways. Yikes  :? I just realized I revealed that greater meme land is spam account belonging to me aw hell.

On another note, I've been working a bit on my character's background. I've been thinking of a now long-gone kingdom, probably in what later became western Velikiya, largely inspired by Finland (and some other things, including my own imagination, and probably a few references to the Malazan book of the Fallen and the Wheel of Time). Probably helps that I've been listening to a lot of Amorphis lately, which is why I've ended up veering towards a Finnish theme.

Well, it's probably good for a character's motivation for doing things to be a bit more nuanced than "because I'm evil lol". Morally ambiguous characters can definitely be interesting and fun, and I do tend to do them more often than other types, but an important bit is always giving depth to them and why they do things. Obviously, being an insane, murderous fellow is one way to do things, but even the most arbitrary killer had some reason why they do such things.

Yeah, that certainly sounds interesting! I've been wanting for a while to put some effort into describing the ancient pagan realms that were there before the Knights of the Black Sun, but I never had the time for it. Even if they are a long gone, they were probably really fascinating.

Also.. how good is the Wheel of Time series? I've heard about it a couple of times, but I've never managed to read any of its books.

Developing stuff like that is also one of the reasons why I wanted a timeframe, so I could know when, for instance, Velikiya became a thing. :p
As for the calendar ideas you mentioned earlier, the Calamity one sounds best.

It's quite enjoyable, though I like the Malazan book of the Fallen series (the first Malazan book, Gardens of the Moon, is a bit awkward to get into, probably because it was originally meant to be a film script, but it gets better after that) more if I was to compare the two. Both are good series, though. Some find MBotF a bit overwhelming with a massive cast (ranging from Malazan soldiers and undead cavemen to Elder Gods) and a rather detailed setting that it doesn't spoon-feed information about (probably a good thing, since it feels more realistic). MBotF tends to be a bit darker and less traditional-fantasy in style compared to the Wheel of Time (the later has more of the traditional quest-y stuff and good vs evil, whereas Malazan is a lot more ambiguous).

I do like the nods towards the Wheel of Time setting being in the far future (since in the setting, there used to be a big advanced civilisation with magic and technology that fell during the effort against the Dark One, though sealing him away was successful, his parting gift was to cause the Breaking of the World that led to the end of the Age of Legends, and also caused major geographical changes, and tainted the male half of the True Source that channelers/magic users draw upon the One Power from, to do magic).

Of course, it's been a while since I've read both, so I probably need to polish my memory on them, though if there's more specific things you want to know about either. Another series I recommend is A.J. Dalton's Flesh and Bone Trilogy (Necromancer's Gambit, Necromancer's Betrayal and Necromancer's Fall). The main character starts out as an undead minion of a necromancer with no memory, and there's a bit of a quest to find the heart of a legendary necromancer (Harpedon), with the power to bring him back to life, among other things. Things end up being a fair bit more complicated, to say the least.

A little bird told me, "Go, Go! Socialise! Talk to those fine people! And then, KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! Plunge your knife into their throats when they ain't lookin', and then burn 'em to the ground!"
Well that's silly, isn't it?

Yes, yes I did. Because I had my math finals and had that one task I couldn't finish in time bugging me all the way till home where I found the solution while thinking about it some more.

RP Sample:(If I know you, you can skip this part, but if not, I need a sample to see how good you are.)
Did you read the Rules?: (Yes?)
Miscellaneous:(If there is anything else you would want to add..)
#KBE7TY2IEV (Do not remove, this is for keeping track of the apps)

Okay, will do. Thanks
Uru, Queen of Diamonds.

Yeah, it'd be nice if this was mentioned briefly in the lore. Only knew about it from TGs I've been having with Trace. I think I slipped this into Carmilla's app two days ago.

Same. There was a question I double checked just now and I found out that I picked the wrong answer after crossing out three of the other MCs and picking out between the remaining two. A fifty/fifty chance and I fudged it.
