Those are unpledged delegates, from candidates who dropped out, and from Colorado (and another state which I forget), which does not pledge delegates.

As a presidential candidate, I'm afraid so. But once there are projected nominees, they'll pick from among people who have applied to be their running mates, so you can still do that. Or you can arrange with one of them right now to be a campaign manager/staffer/family member.

Who is running for the parties

For the Republican nomination, CA Congressman Ben Egilson, MN Senator Gareth Wright, and NH Senator Theodore Whitehorse.

For the Democratic nomination, CA Governor* Theo Guess and former OR Governor Richard Faulkner.
*now Premier

And as an independent, OH Congressman Andrew Hastings.

Oh, I didn't realize that's how it's gonna be. Right now I was thinking of using that GA Governor that was mentioned than on time and just using making an app to represent her, or just another South Governer. Choosing from just the people how have applied would be interesting for me and Faulkner.

They'll be able to take on different characters, of course — you won't be limited to just the other characters who ran.

It says there are a total of 2472 Delegates and half of that plus one is 1,237 delegates. Egilson has not reached that number so other republicans still have a shot.

I might be out of town for the weekend. If that happens I will probably not be posting until Sunday or Monday.

The results will be tonight. Sorry about not posting more news and polls and what not — I'm in the process of starting a business, which is of course time consuming. I will work on getting more news leading up to the conventions, and after the conventions I'll be able to consistently post stuff since there will only be two candidates in the race.

Theo Guess is the presumptive Democratic nominee. There was an addition error somewhere in the total number of delegates, so California was subtracted 300 potential delegates (ICly they probably changed their primary date against party rules!). This did not change the final result.

The Republican nomination is still undecided. Egilson is 353 from the nomination. Wright is 456 from the nomination. Whitehorse is 1,166 from the nomination. There are 656 delegates remaining and 100 unpledged who will vote at the convention, either randomly or as instructed by the candidates they used to be bound to if those players come back.

And a contested Republican convention is possible! If Wright wins between 1/2 and 2/3rds of the delegates (which the winner-take-all states make distinctly possible), Whitehorse's delegates and the other unpledged delegates will decide the nomination.

All right, well, this nomination race just got way too hot for comfort! Here goes nothing!

By the way, Egilson would be fine with being Wright's Vice President or Secretary of State is he loses. No ill will towards Wright.

I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

Yes, and we’ll also do a debate on the forum between Wright and Egilson tomorrow and the day after.

I'll make a post about formally ending my campaign. I would stay on to contest the last few primaries and rally moderate Democrats but I have multiple drafts for my English dissertation that are due in less than a month so I'm going to focus on them mainly. Didn't realise 4000 words on three books would be so draining.

Best of fortune with that. I hope you get solid A's.

So... should I respond to a hypothetical question, or is that it?

Thanks mate. If I do well enough with my dissertation and coursework, I'd have a C just by putting my name down on the exam sheet

So, do people allow responses? What is the format of this debate?

I'll just assume I have enough time for a thirty-second response on both sides, then.
