Ive been working on a fantasy setting for a year now and it may or may not be getting near completion.

I am actually just started a fantasy story of my own recently and i thought of some adaptations of Liches and Goblins which are far more dangerousa dn perhaps interesting.
I forget are there monsters and what about magic.

Oh shit, that's right. I don't even remember what happened to that discord. I may have accidentally gotten rid of it when i purged my server list a few months back.

I actually thought of an interesting Lich concept earlier today. You know how Liches have the Phylactery thing which has their soul?

What if when the phylactery is destroyed it infects those in the room that destroyed it. If they die they become the Lich, otherwise the change is gradual, if one of the bodies dies the Lich moves onto the next infected, until a new phylactery can be made anyways.

I also have the Kryst/Krystalou which are a type of parasitic magic conducting crystal. They can be implanted into beings for great power but typically consume the host. USually they are the result of magical experiments or shenanigans, same with Mimics and occasionally dungeons in a few of my settings.

I had helped Sarejo with a Soulsbourne style concept i created some dark creatures for that, a couple i have reinvented into races for my own settings at times.

That is actually extremely similar to what is in the book that I'm writing.

There are also creatures called the Mistwalkers/Mistfolk/Misttreaders/Treaders. Basically souls wholly corrupted by dark magic, they inhabit a realm outside of
reality, yet walk throughout the land, outside the domain of mortals and Gods. Appear almost as shadows, and can appear only on nights without moon or stars, during solar
eclipses, and in the darkest caves and forests in the lands. They are not bound to anything or anyone, but rather roam lost, eternally in pain, agony, their only solace inflicting pain on others.
