It’s probably for the best, have you seen what Hollywood’s done to Star Wars? That plus GW is afraid of financial success, hence why they haven’t started digitalizing the tabletop game.

Tribes of Man
Long ago, before the Scribes from between the two rivers or the Story Tellers of the Cradle Lands were born to catalog the histories of our people, Visitors from beyond Kishar graced our world. Their original name unknown to us, have gone by in many tongues as "The Old Ones". With benevolence in their hearts, they aided our peoples in ascending from our meager and destitute existence. To aid in this process, those greatest among us were chosen and granted extraordinary powers unknown to the common man, tasked with leading our people in these greatest of times. With their guidance, our people learned to harvest the plants of our world and harness the energy around us, while learning to keep balance as to not over-exhaust our world. All was well, but just as our people were beginning to look out towards the very stars that our benefactors came from, they vanished into the darkness, quickly and without a trace.
Without the guidance and leadership of the Old Ones, our people began to panic. If it were not for the wisdom of the Chosen and their efforts to refocus our species, we would surely have descended back into the anarchy and barbarism that plagued our ancestors. The Chosen, seeing themselves as the heirs of the Old Ones, rose to the occasion, calming the peoples of the world. While not privy to the knowledge of the Old Ones, they maintained the technological advances made by our people, even advancing them further. Within time, Humanity once again looked to the stars. With haste, they descended upon and transformed the worlds around them, from arid red sands of Heru-deshet, to the once toxic world of Sukra, now a Paradise unrivaled.
As our technologies rapidly increased, so too did our populations, demanding that we find even more worlds to colonize. Our people spread far in wide in a golden age of exploration and technology, under the guidance of the Chosen. The arts and culture flourished as our people found Utopia and would even eventually meet ones unlike us in body but similar in intelligence. The Banners of Man were raised across the stars, but it was not to last. What began as curiosity and a sense of discovery transformed into a thirst for conquest and blood as we descended on our new found neighbors, some of which were too mighty for even our great race. When we couldn't defeat our enemies, we found new ones in each other. Despite the Chosen's best efforts, we tore ourselves apart. Our once mighty Empire consuming itself and crumbling into petty Tribes and Kingdoms.
It has been a thousand years since the destruction of the Empire. Its glory and power now an age old legend slowly being forgot by the Galaxy. In failure to uphold their mandate of protecting our people, the Chosen simply vanished into the unknown like the Old Ones before them, leaving only temples and their offspring who were quick to lead the remnants in their stead. Reclaiming our people's greatness is but a dream, or is it?Khoda: As the offspring of the Chosen, the Khoda were once an honorable and revered caste at the height of Human Civilization. When the Chosen disappeared and Humanity fell into chaos, the Khoda attempted to keep the Empire together, only for many of them to fall with it. The Khoda nowadays are a shadow of their former selves. Many are tyrants of petty kingdoms, although a few still uphold the image of the honorable Khoda. While substantially weaker than their Chosen parents, the Khoda are still more spectacular than the average Human. While not immortal, the Khoda are capable of living hundreds or even thousands of years, although these days, few do. The Khoda are also capable of variety of abilities and powers, often weaker variations on their parents.
Kisharans: Hailing from the Homeworld of all Humans, Kishar, the Kisharans see themselves as the rightful rulers of Human Civilization. With this mandate in mind, the Kisharans take it upon themselves to maintain many of the Golden Age technologies and Traditions, much to the ire of non-Kisharan Humans. Not that they care, the Kisharans are a conservative and traditional people, seeing others like the Insani and the Nasha as barbaric philistines.
Insani: Once, the Insani were refugees, their worlds destroyed by alien invaders wanting vengeance for the Human invasions. The Insani pleaded to their cousins for aid, but none arrived. The rest of the Empire was too busy imploding on itself to pay attention to the frontiers. For centuries, it was assumed they perished in the void, another tragedy in the wake of the collapse of the Empire. If only we were so lucky. Descending on peoples such as the Kisharans and the Nasha, Hordes of Insani, united under the banner of the Warlord Rubi, the Red Wolf, laid waist to countless world, and killing millions and looting anything they could find. For five long decades, Rubi's onslaught seemed to be unstoppable as countless worlds fell under her rule or were burned. However, relief came in the form of an aneurysm that killed the blood thirsty Warlord. Soon, the Pack of the Red Wolf began to fight among themselves, splitting into various nomadic fleets called void clans and bringing an end the Insani threat.
Every century or so, word will spread of a rising warlord taking up the banner of the Red Wolf. Massive fleets of Insani vessels will venture into what is considered "civilized" space and begin raising hell again, but their numbers no long black out the sky, and these Petty Warlords rarely last a year.
Nasha: The Nasha are a fiercely independent people. Unlike the Kisharans, the Nasha have forgone many old traditions, wishing instead to look towards the future.11

Other than for FTL I have several Weave related things I want to do. For starters, the Weave is what will fuel psionic powers and some kinds of weapons. Then there is going to be some other several stuff I will reveal later.

You have my attention.
Will nonhumans be involved at all, or strictly humans and their derivatives?

Just humans and their derivatives, though at this point some sub species of humanity may not even resemble humans.Imperialisium wrote:I'm seeing so many heretical statements
And what may those be?
