Well, I'd hate to be that guy, but I'm gonna be that guy, so forgive me. I'm just working on a new RP and I would appreciate any feedback you guys can give me on the OOC so far.

There isn't lore yet, that would be available on further posts and/or off-site databases like Google. I'm currently working on them in an offline Microsoft Word document.


GIZA: LOS KYEVOS

A fantasy RP set during "Age of Pretenders" on the continent of Giza.

"A NEW AGE HAS EMERGED. THE GUARDIAS REAL CANNOT PROTECT YOU ANYMORE."


Gone are the wonders of the Age of Prosper. The Empire of Laivast, once a shining beacon on the continent of Giza, is now a fading memory for even the most ancient books. War has now consumed Giza, a war that the once proud Order of Guardias Real cannot stop. Still reeling from its disastrous defeat at the hands of giant Mahalk the Magnificent at the Battle of Twenty Thousand, the onslaught of chaotic and dark forces have corrupted seemingly everything it is able to touch. From the Bloody Fields to the tips of Kynaziir, servants of the chaotic gods are everywhere now.

The squabbling kings and petty princes of Giza pay no attention to this. To them, the myths of trolls, daemons, and men of chaos mean nothing. Instead, they focus on themselves and their own struggles against their local foes.

To the North-West, the Jaukknayr Tribes grow ever-the-more bold in their raids on the Princedom of Elsjard and the Kingdom of Hauntopfis. A young, but martial and well-respected warchief by the name of Kiersyyad, has reportedly begun an attempt to unite the various warring tribes of the Jaukknayr in hopes of a full-scale invasion of Hauntopfis, the Northern Princes, and more. The various Northern independent princes and King Carlshalm "the Iron" IX of Hauntopfis have begun banding together in hopes of repelling the ever-growing number of Jaukknayr raiders. Hope appears to be fading by the day however, as the Jaukknayr grow in number. Soon, the hooves of the tribes will be at the doorsteps of Jollistov if the Northerners are unable to stop them.

To the North-East, blood-thirsty trolls, daemons, and chaotic men from beyond the Rot have begun their subsequent destruction of the Old Wardens of the Borderlands; the Border Princes and the Kingdom of Alloskindr. Plagued by incompetence, the Border Princes have provided little to no resistance to the armies of darkness, allowing the historic city of North-Sairs to be sacked and subsequently razed to the ground. As the Kingdom of Alloskindr attempts to combat these endless waves of dark foes, it is forced to defend itself by the ever-so-ambitious Kingdom of Sallowstein from the west. Their war will not matter in the end if the forces of darkness and chaos are able to enter Giza.

To the South, the Kingdom of Old Laivast and the Jarldom of Tahmyrd are locked in a stalemate in the region of the Interlands. Meant to be a buffer between the two hostile peoples of the Wildlanders and the Marshers, the Interlands have instead become a boiling pot of ethnic tension between the two groups of peoples. As a result, various claimants to the Interlands' assorted thrones have emerged, each being backed by one of the neighbouring kingdoms. With the proxy war consuming and tearing the Interlands apart, it is only time before Old Laivast and Tahmyrd formally become involved, sending their sons and daughters to die in a pointless war.

Unknown to all of these squabbling humans however, a sinister and evil force lurks beyond the Rot in the Lands of Fire. Known to the Guardias Real as Los Kyevos, it is a renegade company made up of warriors of chaos, troll-men, and corrupted ones, headed by a few renegade/former Guardians. Their leader is the former captain of the Ninth Company: Marcos Sylakios. While Los Kyevos has not invaded Giza yet, it is the fear of the Order that if the company were to, it would spell the doom of humans in Giza.

Humans have grown incompetent, oblivious to the fact that their apocalypse is seemingly only days away. As the Guardians attempt to rally those willing to help defend Giza from the chaotic gods and forces of darkness, the hopes of humanity rest on you.

War and Dysfunction. This is Giza.

Made up of various warring kingdoms and princedoms, the once united continent has now fallen apart. Despite the efforts of the continent's peacekeepers, the Order of Guardias Real (the Guardians/the Order), the rulers of each faction has continued their individual and greedy pursuits of wealth and glory. However, unlike in Ages past, Giza is existentially threatened from beyond the evil mountain rangers known as the Rot, by a supernatural and dark company who seek to subjugate or destroy everything in their path in order to serve the needs of their dark and chaotic gods. You are an inhabitant of Giza. Regardless of background, profession, or birth, you will be inadvertently pushed into this conflict of not greed, not expansion, but survival. The question is, what is your role in this conflict? Are you a worshipper of Chaos, and this is the apocalypse you have waited your entire life for? Are you a knight in the service of one of the kingdoms, and this conflict has seemingly given you new life in a miserable existence of constantly fighting others? Are you a lowborn, and perhaps you have been chosen by the Gods to help lead the forces of Giza against the forces of darkness and chaos?

Rules & Guidelines
    Please take the time to read the following bullet points. If you have any questions, please ask below!


    • Applications are judged and reviewed based on previous RP experience that are submitted alongside of the application. This includes the agreement that all applicants and participants understand formatting and ordering their posts so that it is legible to someone other than the writer. Additionally, if your application is criticized, please take it constructively and not as an insult. At the end of the day, we're all here to create and have fun.

    • Activity is expected by all participants, unless if valid reasons are given. This means that if your character(s) remains inactive for too long, that they will fall underneath the control of the OP/Co-ops for the plot arc that they are involved in. If an inactive player character's owner were to return to the RP, their character's control will be immediately handed back to them.

    • Mature themes are allowed, however please remember that we do not need too much detail on the gore or insights of various horrendous actions that may take place IC-wise. OOC-wise, please keep it to an absolute minimum in respect to fellow participants and/or casual readers. This includes any potential site rule violations, as any infractions that require moderators/administrators will be handled seriously.

    • Keep the OOC chatter to the OOC thread, except for minor corrections (in which case, they must be included in a spoiler post with your IC post). You are permitted to discuss anything/everything Giza-related within the OOC. Aggressive OOC behaviour will not be tolerated, and both OP and the Co-OPs reserve the right to terminate any accepted applications as a disciplinary measure.

    • Godmodding is strictly prohibited, plain and simple. As it ruins other participants' experiences in the RP, it is an anything that would give an unfair advantage to a player-controlled character, such as immunity to damage, knowing secretive moves without having an IC reason why, etc. There will be winners and losers in this RP, and it is expected that participants will come to compromises and make realistic decisions to reflect this. All participants are expected to positively contribute to the RP in some shape or form, and godmodding takes that away.

    • Quality is expected from all participants. While ten-page long essays and immense blocks of text are not required, an understanding of basic English grammar and spelling is required, as well as somewhat detailed posts.

    • While Giza does have an established lore structure in place, players are encouraged to help contribute to the lore of the land, and help to correct or add any existing or new lore. Fresh ideas and concepts are always welcome!

    • Magic is a very difficult subject in Giza. Despite carrying the same name, it is not as what it would appear in other fantasy RPs. Magic is typically seen as the work of daemons and/or god-like forces. The use of magic is not simply grasped within a month or two, but requires extensive training from specialized and educated individuals. Core magic concepts can be found under lore, particularly the most common concepts.

    • Humans are the only race present in Giza. While there are supernatural beings that are present in Giza, they are typically from the Lands of Fire, and are considered to be "mythical". Please keep that in mind when posting.

    • Technology is the "High" Medieval Period, and society follows that of a feudal society unless specified otherwise. No gunpowder exists in Giza.

Thanks! I was inspired by an odd mix of Medieval Europe, Warhammer, and like one or two features from Bleach that I remember.

I have three ideas for RPs since I guess I'm back...

The first is After the Legends. It is a historical fantasy set in post Arthurian Britain, the descendants of Arthur's knights have to protect one of Arthur's artifacts from Saxon invaders and a cult that still serves Morgana. It will be a low fantasy setting with some small amount of magic, characters are the children and grandchildren of Knights of the Round Table that are bound by a familial oath to protect the Sword of Peace, which Arthur famously drew from the stone to become high king of the Brythons, and the weapon which struck the King's death blow in the hands of Mordred.

The second is a reboot of an RP named Odessy for Athena. The concept is sort of The Expanse meets Star Trek; the crew of Athena is tasked with the dual and sometimes opposing roles of exploring a stretch of deep space known as The Ulysses Corridor while undertaking anti-piracy operations.

And then Star Wars: X-Wing Storm Squadron, an rp that launched but never got its feet under it because it started around Christmas and New years. Set during the Galactic Civil War in Star Wars it would mainly focus on deep space and planetary combat inside iconic Star Wars Vehicles like the X-Wing and potentially some missions that see some or all the characters acting as infantry. More fighter craft would become available to the characters as the RP moved on; starting with low tier vehicles from the Clone Wars and ending with high tier vehicles featured in The Empire Strikes Back and the no longer cannon Legends. It would be structured similar to our group's Ace Combat RPs

My Fellow Americans,

This is your President speaking,

On an executive decision, I have decided to relocate with my cabinet and other important figures in continuation of government protocols away from Washington D.C. My wife Nancy, and I are heartbroken at the sorrowful state of this union, but nevertheless we will prevail. I figure it is time to let the public know that your government has a plan to address this "bloody summer". Two months ago the first reports of an epidemic known as HIV became noted in the front pages of the Los Angeles Times on May 31st. Somehow this disease mutated, and its victims became akin to savage beasts whose only desire was to drain blood and spread the infection.

Like the vampires of old legends, their hunger has driven them to spread the infection rapidly, and currently, half of the human population is infected. The infected can be beaten as our brave soldiers fighting in Miami, and Atlanta has proven. I have signed an executive order to preserve our nation, and preserve humanity. The cities the worst off will undergo general evacuations of all non-infected citizens to camps outside city perimeters, and then to bunkers assigned to regions if need be. Martial law which was in effect in parts of the country is now in effect over every state and territory.

Operation Bugcatcher is commencing as a mass battle strategy to exterminate the threat. Do not be fooled the infected can appear normal as your neighbors, your friends, your parents, and even your siblings, but they all contain within them an incurable virus that hijacks their body. They can appear normal so long as their desire for blood is satiated, and they can spread their disease in many ways including giving their tainted blood, and intercourse. These "insects" are a threat to humanity, they care only for the preservation of this diseased existence, and will submit to its will, and become like raving beasts in the pursuit of blood. I know you have heard the reports of bestial men ripping people to shreds in public, and they are true.

If denied blood long enough the insect will begin to shed the appearance of its former human self and become one with what it truly is. This is why I am instituting the formation of bug catcher squads to exterminate these creatures block by block and retake our cities. In Detroit, the first moves will be made to wipe out the nests of insects there, but those creatures aren't the only worries. Humans who have taken to chasing after the infection because of the euphoric effects the bites produce are your targets as well. They have lost their minds to the insect and must be put down. God help us all, stay together, listen to orders, and America, as well as all of humanity, will prevail in this matter.

Hey, I hate being this guy, but Giza: Los Kyevos has a ton of worldbuilding I'd like to be finished before I even greenlight the RP to the public.

A pre-emptive strike has brought a sense of shock to the world. The previously almost wholly united Anean continent has been under a state of slowly buckling social and economic conditions since the late 1990s. To the east, Estovakia, bombarded by meteor after meteor after the destruction of an asteroid in the upper atmosphere. Wracked by destruction and economic downfall, it turned to civil war in attempt to follow the ones with the best plan. To the west, Emmeria, emerging from said orbital incursion unscathed. Friction between these two states was non-existant until 2007, when Emmerian aid convoys were seized and a seige was put over the town they were heading for, resulting in 200,000 people from starvation. Emmeria, always a country of compassion, kept trying to get aid to the nation's government.

The War in Estovakia ended in 2013, with the old government overthrown, and a dictatorial group of flag officers at the helm of a nation that had known only war for over half a decade. Sour eyes turned west, remembering Emmeria's attempt to support their enemies. On August 30, 2015, Estovakia launched an invasion on the Emmerian capital province, and border cities. The declaration of war followed 15 minutes later. Unprepared, and outgunned, the Emmerian military was forced to retreat, time, after time, until now.

You are a member of the Emmerian 28th Fighter Squadron "Garuda", an Emmerian national , equally shocked and sorrowful for the rampant violence spreading across your homeland. Alternatively, a member of the 3rd Aerial Volunteer Squadron "Sterling", "foreign volunteers" aiming to make a quick dollar off the conflict, or to simply take part in the just side of a defensive war.

Fabled for its rolling sunflower fields and bountiful vineyards, Amber is a picture of vast aquamarine seas and lush green grasses. Its main export is its various wines and exotic citrus fruits. Its military isn't something to brag about, however, and is mainly utilized for internal security.

Federal Republic of AURELIA
The southern tip of Osea is home to Aurelia, which is also home to some of the word's oldest civilizations. The alpine climate makes it a prime hotspot for extreme winter sports seekers and mountain climbers alike, and the plains located in the east are home to alpaca herders and wild llamas. Despite its relatively harmless appearance, it has been involved in numerous conflicts with Cayenne over the islands to its south, amounting to various incursions.

Kingdom of BEIARUSIA
An old kingdom to the south of Osea, Beiarusia is a fading power that delves little into international politics. Despite its ambivalence to global incidents the Kingdom does maintain good ties with Belka and has engaged in several border disputes in recent years. The South Osean Continental war brought it's sense of military dominance to a close after repeated military losses and extensive damages to it's nation that it is still recovering from.

The Principality of BELKA
An industrial powerhouse of the Osean continent, perhaps even rivaling that of Osea itself, a major re-organisation of its military during the Cold War saw a bolstering of its forces of Air, Land and Sea and a forceful expansion into the central Osean continent. These forces were mostly seen destroyed or captured during the Belkan War during the mid to late 90s, resulting in an already economically battered nation further taking the brunt of war.

Federal Republic of BRASALIUM
The population of Brasalium is heavily polarized between the rich and the poor. Its popularity as a tourist destination has propped up its economy along with exports of timber and iron, and yet this wealth is only dealt between the 1% while the rest have been left to fend for themselves, leading to crippling gang wars and a booming drug trade. Its military is mainly focused on containing the cartel threat, though its police force is corrupt through and through.

State of CAYENNE
Located at the frozen southern tip of the world, Cayenne isn't irrelevant as first thought. Rolling fertile plains have supported a heavy agricultural market and the tourism is a nice secondary bonus to see it through the bitter winters. It's famed for strange traditions from cultures long lost to the times, and currently is bickering over island chains in the north with Aurelia, but its large air force is strictly self defense only.

Democratic Republic of CLAVIS
Involved in a bloody continental war with Verusa in the mid 80's, it has since recovered and regain control of its territory. Clavis provides a central trade hub for the Verusian continent, and it's large iron and silver mines prop up a mainly industrial based economy. Otherwise the country is largely rolling forests and semi-arid scrublands home to small farming communities, though it does have some notable tourist destinations.

Commonwealth of COMONA
Small and harmless, its main defense is its out of the way location and its many, many islands adorn with sheer cliff faces and jagged rocks. Its main attraction is the Riass Space Center, used by Usea for all its space missions, and is also home to a prestigious university fabled for its bright students and high pass rates. Its military is mainly airborne and used to defend itself from anybody who would wish to attack its islands.

Federative Republic of DORUSIA
A nation on the Verusan continent, Dorusia relies heavily on its military strength, and its long standing ties with Yuktobania, to act with impunity in its politics. Though a democracy the government is heavily influenced by the military, the top generals holding near absolute power in matters of state. As such the nation is quick to use its military strength to solve conflicts both domestic and abroad. Dorusia suffered little during the conflicts of the 80's and even expanded, claiming Chengnei Island west of Clavis and parts of eastern Sotoa.

Republic of EMMERIA
On the Eastern half of the Anean mainland lies Emmeria, a great cultural influence on places in the far corner of the globe in things such as Music, Film, Food, and Art: many great artists and inventors have hailed from Emmeria. In modern times it produces wine from its many vineyards, sports cars, and large amounts of cheeses. Its military isn't something to be laughed at either, though it has recently taken heavy losses in the opening moves of the war.

Federal Republic of ERUSEA
A mix between a sub-tropical paradise and mountainous alpine winterscape, Erusea is the second largest nation on the Usean continent, and if it wasn't for the extremely fascist government, it would be a nice place to live. A short but brutal war in the mid 2000s resulted in extensive military losses by Erusea, although the nation seemingly managed to recover economically over the next decade no worse for wear.

Federal Republic of ESTOVAKIA
An old nation with ties to major superpowers such as Belka and Yuktobania, though these ties have not stopped it from crumpling under the strain of the Ulysses impact. An only recently solved civil war has further strained their economy, but evidenced by their ongoing invasion of Emmeria it's not slowing their military.

Federation of Aboriginal Tribes of Osea
Shortened to FATO, it was one of the nations lucky enough not to be invaded by the Belkan expansion and even prospered from its downfall. Territory was given to it from its surrounding neighbors and it eventually grew to the size we see here today. Provided it doesn't piss anybody off in the meanwhile, economic prosperity looks good. Its military is also re-forming and building up due to aid from Osea.

Republic of GEBET
A staunchly neutral nation, Gebet suffered directly at Belka's hands during the Belkan War, losing it's capital in short order and requiring a liberation force to take the nation back. in the 25 years since, they've managed to recover for the most part.

Republic of INDUS
Colonized by North Point in the peak of its empire, Indus has since never succumbed to any outside invasion due to its fierce warrior traditions and unforgiving terrain. It possesses nuclear weapons, however it doesn't look like they wish to use them in the foreseeable future.

Republic of KALUGA
Believed to be the home of Christendom, despite whatever Belka says, Kaluga was a feared nation famed for its deadly cavalry and exiting battles. A breif conflict in the 1980's with Yuktobania resulted in heavy losses to both sides, but since have made up to be good friends...very good in fact, which has led to some internal strife within the government and population.

Democratic Peoples Republic of LEASATH
A content population and even more content government, Leasath is one of the most peaceful nations in the world, however its growing ties with Yuktobania as well as strange military actions within its borders show something disturbing going on.

Republic of the LEVANT
Levant is the homeland of the Jewish faith, and its location alongside the more extremist of the Islamic faith has led to many incursions and attacks within its borders, leading it to bolster its military and seek relations with Osea, both trade and military wise. Its current exports are agricultural machinery and weaponry.
Kingdom of NORDENNAVIK
Once a nation of deadly seaborne warriors, now the center-point for the best social and economic prosperity in the world. Located in the icy frozen north of the Anean continent, its large strides in technological advancement has boosted its economic output over the last three decades. Its military, however, is slightly outdated and in need of modernization.

Confederation of NORDLAND
Not to be confused with the above nation, Nordland is located east of FATO. Mostly covered in large pine forests, its main export is timbers which it provides worldwide and has done for many years, back when ships of the line were the forefront of naval combat. Now it's mainly neutral and irrelevant, though its fairly large military makes it a powerful enemy for those who do cross it.

United Kingdom of NORTH POINT
Once the largest empire in known history, now contained to an isolated island east of Usea. Its influence, however, still spans the world over with its trade in natural gases and exports of livestock and food. It has an array of alliances as well as a small but competent military which keeps it safe from any kind of invasion.

Federation of OSEA
The largest world power as far as its concerned, its many citizens, large military, massive economy, and great influence surely make it a contender. It has a long standing rivalry with Yuktobania across the pond, the almost century long standoff having resulted in the biggest arms race in history, leading to vast nuclear stockpiles, fleets of ships, and a blanket of spy satellites. The rather succinct Belkan War, as well as the Circumpacific War have done little to slow this superpower.

Federated States of PERFANESIA
A desolate, dry and frankly, scary colony that was granted independence from North Point. Its only real distinguishing features are its multitude of local fauna that will maim, poison or kill you, which has prevented anybody from even considering an invasion. Its military is mainly maritime and used for preventing immigration. It also trades in many raw materials.

Republic of RATIO
Nobody knows what they want, they just exist on the eastern section of the Osean continent with a medium military and average economy. Nobody has bothered them and nobody probably will as long as they keep their eyes off of the territory of Sapin and Belka.

Republic of RECTA
Invaded twice by Belka, Recta has had a long and bitter history with the Belkan government, as well as it's citizens. It's transition to a post-war economy went exceedingly smoother than it's neighbours.

Republic of ROMNY
Close to Yuktobania and victim to many wars both internal an external. It was crushed by the rolling war machine of the Valgans in the 80's but has since been restored. It trades mainly in raw agricultural materials and livestock and imports lots of raw minerals for the rebuilding of its infrastructure.

Republic of SAN MARTIN
A colony of Sapin and close trade partner for years to come, its independence was bloody but it doesn't hold it against its former overlords. Its military is small and mainly for ceremonial purposes, though nobody wants to invade because it offers nothing but large limestone mines and some rich timber, which is really irrelevant in terms of modern construction.

Republic of SAN SALVICON
An openly neutral nation that possesses a small military and has next to no enemies, and as such it has become an international meeting ground for nations around the world to discuss global affairs and settle issues in a peaceful manner, though sometimes this is not the case. It is offered protection by Erusea.

Kingdom of SAPIN
Once a mighty empire like North Point or Belka, now it has lost most of its territory to upstart independence movements which rocked the entire globe. East of Osea, it's a relatively large and strong nation that would definitely hold its own if it came to blows. Its trade is healthy with its partners and nobody wants them dead, which is an upside.

Empire of SEIAN
Culturally unique on the Osean continent, the people of Seian trace their ancestry to the Usean continent. Formerly a strong empire with many holdings, the nation has lost much of its outlaying territory since the turn of the century and has only just managed to maintain its hold on its current borders. The SOuth Osean COntinental War resulted in a shake up of politics and military organisation due to early war losses, that the nation has now recovered from.

The Republic of SERCIA
Allied with Yuktobania, back in the middle ages it was home to a powerful religious order that spread fear in all infidels as far as Clavis. In modern times such religious holy wars are frowned upon and now it's Yuktobanias lap dog. Its military, armed to the teeth with the latest in military technology, its not to be rivaled, and its training means it has a large stock of special operations forces on hand. Otherwise its nothing noteworthy, only possessing a handful of factories and mines.

Islamic Republic of SOTOA
Despite being an Islamic state, its allies are plentiful and it aims to keep it that way since a great war damaged most of its military in the 80's. After the war was over, the southern section was re-absorbed into the republic and it now spans a large section of the Verusan continent. Largely populated in the northern regions, its exports are Oil and natural gases, which it sells off to Yuktobania, Osea and North Point to name some.

Federation of SOUTH SOTOA
A heavily right-wing government, South Sotoa occupied the souther third of the Sotoan Peninsula, hence the name. Formerly occupied by North Point, it gained its independence in a series of bloody wars. During the Verusean War, South Sotoa sided against Valga and was relatively successful, however, in the waning months of conflict territory would be lost to Dorusia. Bitter about the entire ordeal, little could be done to counter the military of their powerful neighbor.

Federation of USEA
Hostile to Erusea, their rivalry has almost come to arms multiple times, however, the neutral nation of San Salvicon has always been there for peace talks. It specializes in industry and imports many raw materials to process everything from car parts to children's' toys. Its military is larger than its cousin Erusea, and as evidenced in the Usean War, more competent too.

Khanate of VALGA
Founded sometime in the 13th century, Valga would expand rapidly and violently over the next century, at one point controlling all of the Verusean continent. This could not last, however, and the great empire soon shattered. It would remain an obscure and barely noticed state until the 1980's and the start of the Verusean War. Siding with its eastern neighbor, Valga would again lay waste to its enemies, devastating Clavis before being beat back in a joint alliance led by, of all nations, South Sotoa. Peoples Republic of VERUSEA
A twisted history has led this nation on a spiral of wars and crusades that have fallen short on many occasions - claiming to be the cradle of civilization doesn't work when you don't have the evidence to back it up. In the 80's it attempted an invasion of the Verusan continent only to be beaten back, and since then it sulks in its own corner of the world taking handouts wherever it can get them, building up their army despite multiple treaties. One day it may succeed.

Democratic Federation of WELLOW
A big, frozen block of ice is what many people describe it as. Its small military and neutral nature make it not much of a target, and its exports are mainly just whatever is produced in the factories at the time. It has influences from North Point and Belka, both being its colonial overlord at one point or another. Today it just sits there and watches the world tick by.

Republic of WIELVAKIA
A mountainous and rugged nation with a hardened populace and strong military. It has large deposits of Iron, coal and other natural resources within its mountains which act as a natural barrier to invasion. North Point invaded multiple times to no avail and eventually just gave up.

Union of YUKTOBANIA
Once a group of scattered states, Yuktobania was unified in the name of a political ideal and a common enemy. Hostile to Osea due to a long cold war which has resulted in the largest arms race humankind has ever seen. It possesses stockpiles of nuclear munitions which make it a deadly enemy indeed, and also produces its own weapons and equipment which it sells off to its neighbors on the cheap, hoping to pull in some allies in the process. Recently it has been calm, but they say never to wake a sleeping bear.

Upgrades will be available for all vehicles with the goal of keeping low-Tier AFVs competitive for longer against more advance, stronger foes. There is no strict system to follow when upgrading (official stats to consider) and this will simply be for RP purposes. Note, however, that an upgraded vehicle should perform better than stock AFV of the same Tier, but will still be outclassed to some degree by those in the next Tier.

The engine is completely rebuilt from the ground up, granting a boost to maximum speed and performance. Stability issues may arise, however, for airframes that cannot handle the additional output. Caution is warranted.

The computer system is completely reworked to allow for the usage of non-native weapons (Osean to Yuktobanian, for example). This is a trade off, and to again use native weapons the package must be repurchased.

- Experimental Microwave Radar
($60,000 + ($10,000 x Tier))
Extensive upgrades to the plane's radar system allows for improved tracking of both ground and stealth aerial targets.

- Re-Type
($100,000 + ($25,000 x Tier))
Extensive software upgrades allows for the plane to better fill an additional role. Fighters gain improved anti-ground while attackers gain improved anti-air capabilities, thus making them closer to multi-role jets to some extent. Native multirole planes can instead specialize as either a fighter or attacker.

Radar can know track and lock onto additional targets simultaneously with no penalty.

SURVIVAL


- Airframe Durability
($50,000 + ($10,000 x Tier))
The internal structure is strengthened to better withstand enemy attacks. Planes can potentially survive direct missile strikes though this hypothesis should not be tested in-field.

- Countermeasures Upgrade
($80,000 + ($7,500 x Tier))
Flares burn hotter and chaff is more reflective. Countermeasures have a better chance overall of fooling enemy missiles.

- Automated Fire Extinguisher
(100,000 + ($10,000 x Tier))
Automatically extinguishes engine or fuel tank fires via a halon based fire extinguisher.

WEAPONS


- Hardpoint Increase I
($150,000 + ($200,000 x Tier))
Two additional hardpoints are added to the plane if possible. Weight limits still apply.

($250,000 + ($300,000 x Tier))
Two additional hardpoints are added to the plane if possible. Requires Hardpoint Increase I. Weight limits still apply.

- Missile Combat Upgrade
($75,000 + (150,000 x Tier))
Missiles acquire faster lock-on and are more capable in combat.

Standard cannon munitions are replaced with laser guided smart ammo. (Requires ground based laser designation or targeting pod for effect)

- Autonomous UAV Slaving Hardware/Project Wingman
($500,000 + ($125,000 x Tier))
Hardware engineered for the CFA-44 is installed to grant an aircraft two semi-autonomous UAV-45 drones to act as wingmen, decoys, and offensive weapons. Unfortunately, to make space for the equipment, fighters and gunships need to have a cannon removed, and bombers need to lose 300kg of internal bomb load. The UAV-45 is armed only with a GSh-23 autocannon with 400 rounds, and 6 chaff/flare cartridges.

Over three hundred years ago, in the aftermath of the third world war. our collective ancestors walked hand-in-hand out into the Solar System, from first settling Luna and Mars, colonizing the vast network of asteroids of the Belt and the many moons of Jupiter and Saturn, to the farthest reaches of the system at Pluto and Charon. At the time, the Solar System seemed so large, a never ending bounty that would sustain Humanity for generations to come. But as the decades went along, space lost its luster. As Human expansion continued into every corner possible, the system began to feel smaller. Within decades of settling up our first colonies, we were already beginning to fight over who got what resources among the belt. Within a century, Earth, Mars, Luna, and Venus were tearing each other apart as the first colonies were fighting for their independence. Before long, they too, in competition with Earth, began to exploit and oppress those in Belt and the Outer Systems, failing to see the irony in the situation just as any group of oppressed turned oppressor throughout history. It's been almost 50 years since the people of the Outer System freed themselves of the Inner yoke, only to shortly begin fighting each other over petty squabbles that the Inner Planets forced on them with their own proxy wars decades earlier.

Up until recently, I believed that I was playing a part in freeing our species from this never ending violence. For 23 years, I have spent the better part of my professional career as a crucial member of the UNTRAI, up until this message goes out to every network in the Solar System, I was the Project Lead of Project Wayfinder. Me and over 400 of my brilliant colleagues were tasked with R&D of Faster Than Light technology. It had been slow but fulfilling work. Last year, we had finally made the breakthrough many of us had waited our entire lives for. Our test probe, after a year of its launch with our prototype FTL drive, we received its signal in the Alpha Centauri System. At first, we were elated, but as soon as the Higher Ups found out, we heard word that schematics were already being drawn up for new patterns of warships with our new FTL drives attached. We had unknowingly become the cause of potentially millions dead from a weapon that would bring back Earth Supremacy to the Solar System and Beyond.

I have decided to take a stand and attempt to possibly pave the way for a true lasting peace. Attached to this message is an IDF detailing the science behind the FTL drive and the schematics the test drive we developed a year ago. Unfortunately, I will not be able to see whatever this may bring. Project Wayfinder is-was of the highest classification level, within minutes of me sending out this message to the Solar System, a UN black ops team will be finding my dead body. All I can say is do with this technology as you wish. I only hope whatever you choose to do with it will be the right answer.

The UN began to take its modern form in 2029 after the end of the Third World War. While the conflict didn't go nuclear as everyone feared, large regions of the planet, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Siberia and the North American Arctic, and Central and Eastern Asia were severely damaged and unstable. These areas were made into the first Administration Zones, with the UN charged with rebuilding and securing these areas for a time that they would once again become independent, a time that would never come. The UN also tasked the cleaning up orbit of the debris left over from combat between the US Space Forces, Russian Kosmastreloks, and the Chinese Taikong zhàn shì. This lead to an increase of funding and interest in space technology, which would accumulate in missions and eventual colonization of Mars and Luna throughout the 2040s and 2050s.

Over the next half-century, the UN would see expansion into the Belt as well as growing it's influence on Earth by gaining control over the last independent nations on the planet. While this period would see separatist conflicts throughout the Belt and regions on Earth, the late 21st and early 22nd century are seen as a golden age, particularly for Earth. Reorganization of food supply chains would see an end to hunger on Earth. Mass Restructuring of cities across the planet, a switch to plant-based protein for the majority of the population, and the widespread adoption of fusion reactors and renewable energy sources have aided in the UN's efforts to battle climate change on the planet, a fight which continues to this day.

However, things took a turn for the worst as independence movements on Mars and Luna would escalate into full blown war in the 2150s. First Mars would outmaneuver the UN fleet in the Battle of Deimos and forced Earth to recognize Martian Independence. The Lunar Independence war a decade later would be the deadliest conflict since the 3rd World War as it quickly became an exchange between Lunar Railgun emplacements and Earth-based Nuclear Missiles. Ever since then, Earth's power has been eroding as it competes with more and more independent powers in the system.
Culture:

Individual nation states no longer exist on Earth, instead being replaced by Regional Administration Zones. With freedom of movement, a global melting pot has arisen as people travel and live all around the world with ease. Most of Earth's population lives within cities in massive arcologies or in limited and heavily regulated family plots. A population of 500 Million also inhabit various space stations in Earths orbit, which are often the cause of diplomatic incidents with Earth's closet rival, Luna. Poverty and hunger have been mostly wiped out with the exception of a few areas known as "Red Zones". These areas have seen devastating separatist conflicts ever since Global Unification in the early 22nd Century. These areas include the Pacific Northwest, Britain, Queensland, South Africa, and Afghanistan.

Outside of the Red Zones, Earth boasts one of the highest qualities of life in the system with one of the best-educated populations in the system. Either after completing Secondary School or once they've completed University, UN citizens are required to serve a minimum of two years within suitable department or organization within the United Nations. The most common choices are the Departments of Peace Operations,Global Agriculture, and Infrastructure Development. Once their two years are up, individuals may choose to continue working in these departments, move on to higher education if they came straight out of secondary school, go into the private sector, work abroad with friendly regimes in the system, or simply live off of Basic Income.

While the most populous planet in the system, the population is stagnate and expected to drop. By 2500, it is estimated that Earth's population will drop back to 8 billion, quickly being overtaking by Mars.

Military Population (no more than 5%): The United Nations Security Forces have an estimated 500 Million personnel serving in various roles
Fleet Size: 1,000 military vessels
Military Info: The UNSF is largely a conscripted force, with many being funneled into it by the UN's Mandatory Public Service Program. The UNSF has over 250 Million Active Personnel at any given time, with another 150 Million in Reserves. The last 100 Million serve in various logistical and bureaucratic roles. UN doctrine focuses on air superiority, with most strategies focusing around naval vessels knocking out enemy ships, satellites, and other orbital platforms, leaving enemy ground forces isolated and easily dispatched in coordination between ground and orbiting forces.

UN fleets are composed mostly frigates and Cruisers in support of a contingent of carriers and dreadnought vessels. UN fleets also rely detachments of stealth vessels, meant to go behind enemy lines and soften enemy positions and strike at critical objectives ahead of the main force. Once pitched combat is initiated, dreadnoughts are meant to create a screen of torpedoes as cruisers and strike craft get into railgun range, meanwhile Frigates screen for any missiles or strike craft with their PDCs.

While the UN military is formidable, it is greatly limited by Luna. To leave and return to Earth, UN vessels have to time their reentry into UN space as to not violate Lunar space. Any war plans the UN wants to accomplish, they have to do in a way where Luna is out of the equation one way or another.

UN Fleets

Home Fleet: 400 vessels, guarding Earth, stands as a deterrent to Luna
1st Fleet: 100 vessels, patrolling/anti-piracy between Earth/Luna and Mars, monitors Martian activity
2nd Fleet: 100 vessels, patrolling/anti-piracy between Earth/Luna and Venus, monitors Venusian activity, often given prototype equipment to field test
3rd Fleet: 100 vessels, location classified (somewhere in the Inner System or Belt), meant to stay hidden and constantly moving with minimum contact with command and the Logistics Fleet. will only act in case Earth is threatened or occupied
4th Fleet: 100 vessels, equipped with mining equipment and meant to secure resources in the Belt and bully independent miners off of their claim
5th Fleet: 100 vessels, patrolling/anti-piracy between the belt and the outer system, monitors the outer system, but can't stray too far from support of the 4th Fleet
1st Logistics and Resupply Fleet: 100 vessels, mostly cargo freighters and escort craft, supplies the various fleets outside of Earth's orbit.
