On another topic, there's always the love for cookies and brains it brings, so what's the worst that could happen? It'd be fun to have an RP where it's a team of scientists that discover Lovecraft had written 'true' stories, but the subversion is that he got the intentions and even the motivations wrong. He was actually just a massive xenophobe while all these monsters just wanted to say hi.

The ground does not agree with me. Same with the air, the sky, or all the powers at Natures' call. They are no longer within my power, and much like me, helpless to a will that is not heir own. They are ruled and possessed by their nature; no different are I... Because I am stuck, and have no idea where I am. This is the first 'journal' entry I have managed, after recovering from waking up And its about to drive me crazy. Has been driving me crazy, because of all the knows, don't-knows, and maybe-knows! Here are my top three!

1. I know I am Me! Nicholas-Paul is here, present and accounted for -- not dead, and not in heaven or hell.
2. I know its winter. Its been ten days, and I am writing with berry-dye-ink, on sharpened-reed-pens on animal skins!
3. I know this isn't Texas. Ditto for the Sons of Guns Shooting Range!

1. I don't know where civilization even is!
2. I don't know where my CLOTHES are!
3. I don't know where I am!

1. Maybe the mud-hut men will help. Met one, and his name sounds like Rat-eye-boar!
2. Maybe he understands me, and I them. Thats how I got this damn animal skin to write on.
3. Maybe I won't starve, get sacrificed by the mud-hutters, or get eaten by a fuckin' bear

Got to get these priorities sorted out. At least 10 days have passed. I'm stuck in one of the huts; not really a prisoner -- more like a really guarded guest? I've told Rat-eye-boar can get me new hides -- the old ones are almost done for spare room. Might have to switch to carving on bark -- alot easier to collect... They seem to understand me, and I them. Hard to communicate complex ideas, like where the nearest gas station is. Let along the nearest road! I won't be fighting Lazlo's Heirarchy of Needs, I can figure out why the hell am I, where I am. Gonna try to keep a record of all this crap too -- drop at least one entry a day.

Day 19 in Hillbilly Hell. The room is dank -- and not in the good way. Snow blows inside, and generally, makes a misery out of everything. And it is cold. Even with skins and coats that have been generously given to me. Its still beyond cold! The family I am rooming with (you remember Ratibor) seems to deal with it just fine; damn hardy people these guys. Theres Ratibor, of course. His wife. Their parents. And a whole mess of kids! Three boys, and three girls. And the oldest can't be more than ten!

I've been layed up with a fever. Its a little one, but its enough to keep me in bed. Yep. Hasn't been fun. And none of these people seem to know a doctor; I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that. Because its not like they want to see me suffer. They've been medicating me with 'drink this' and 'chew on that' since they sat me down with concerned looks. Even a witch doctor. They got the local witch doctor, to come in! If I hadn't been so hopped up on whatever they gave me, I would have been pissed off. Probably throw the guy out. I mean come one, you got me a magic man, but you can't jog to the nearest private practice for a medical pro?

I was finally introduced to the last members of 'The Tribe' this morning. Seemed to be the chiefs, elders, what-have-you of the group. Every day after the first week, they've been streaming into the house (I use that word loosely!), checking out the 'foreign devil'. I've picked up that little gem from hearing it long enough. They don't seem to put heat behind it though; its like their saying my name. Oh, thats a story on its own. So, I messed up. They asked me what I was called and where I was from. I only got bland, blank looks when I said America. And forget trying to explain the concept of state... I also think something got lost in translation, because now their calling me "Texas". Better than being called a devil, I guess.

Visarion pawed aimlessly in the pollen and dirt. Here he was, a mighty Sith Knight, once proud and magnificent, broken and defeated. He was one to mope, and there was perhaps no time as justified for moping. There was also resentment. He let out a sigh, and blood speckled the inside of his visor.

They had been utterly wiped out. There was simply no other way of putting it. Every breath was a sharp reminder of how badly the Archeri had beaten them. His talents, which had won the praise of so many on Korriban and Dromund Kaas, proved useless against them. Even more relentless than the endless mass of warped husks was the deafening assault the Chorus launched against his senses. It spoke to him with what seemed like a billion voices that was at once repulsive and foreign and sweet and familiar.

The Archeri told him many things, mostly belittlements and propaganda, but it didn’t tell him why he had been spared. It was a moot point.

Prone and pathetic was hardly the way Visarion wanted to die. Slowly and with every fiber of his now very battered being protesting, he was able to prop himself upright. Things didn’t look much better from up here. The strange white pollen, disturbed by all the commotion of battle, had been scattered and was now falling from the sky like ash. The whole galaxy was on fire, after all. There was no stopping the Archeri. Not unless the Sith were willing to carpet bomb every planet tainted by this sick plague to oblivion. Either way, they were all going to die.

But how and when he, Visarion, would die became less certain when he felt a shift in the Force: a ripple here, another there. He was no seer, but whatever was out there was getting closer. It wasn’t the Archeri. They had left him to die once, he didn’t see why they would come back to kill a man who was already dead. No, this was an adept of some kind, neither Sith nor Archeri as best as he could tell.

It wasn't like he was in any shape to fight back. He managed to sit himself up and lean against some rubble, but soon gave up on trying to stand. He was exhausted and his arms, though relatively intact compared to his mangled leg. His lightsaber was well out of reach, but he could see it among the rubble.

When the newcomer finally came into view, Visarion looked at him boredly, as if his appearance changed nothing. It didn’t. They were still all going to die. He was an Epicanthix, well built, if small. He pulsed with the energy of those who could see the Force, and he had the stride of a fighter. There was no telling how this unfortunate ended up on Af’El, though Visarion guessed that he wasn’t there to rescue wounded Dark Jedi. Whatever his motivations, they weren’t immediately hostile. He always could have shot him.

But instead of shooting him, the Epicanthix simply strode over and tried to strike up conversation. The stranger couldn’t see the icy blue glare that met him from behind the faceless visor.

“Just fine.” he hissed. Why he was resentful to this perfect stranger he had no idea. Maybe he had the right to be as resentful as he pleased on the doorstep of death. He ignored the question. It was obvious he was a Sith and even more obvious that whether Sith or not, he would soon be melted into the planet’s crust, like every other living thing in this god-forsaken hole in the dirt.

Just then, as if to crown that thought, a faint sound rumbled far above and the ground shook, as if some great celestial titan had struck the planet with a hammer.
