Military Info
Army: -
The Colombian Army- The Army stands at 15,000 Soldiers. Born from the fires of Revolution, and known affectionately as the "Sons of Bolivar" these men are small in Military numbers, but are very well trained. It's officers were trained in Europe before the Revolution, allowing for the establishment of Colombian Military Academies. This has lead to a vibrant military culture for the Nation, and it's officers. All in the name of 'Defending the Revolution." Many of it's senior ranking officers are veterans form the Revolution against the Iberian Empire, so have experience as well. This being the case, the Republic possess one of the best trained and equipped Army forces in the new world, albeit it's smaller than all it's peers.
The Colombian Reserve- The Army Reserves stands at 50,000 soldiers. These soldiers are trained, but not to the extent that the standing army is. They're more standard, and able to be molded by the army if an emergency is facing the nation and the army needs to fill it's ranks.
The Colombian People's Militias- The National Militias Stand at an impressive 100,000. These strapping young men are following their obligation to defend the Colombian Constitution and their homes, from enemies at home and abroad. Not everyone can join the Military itself, so they join the People's Militias. It's an attempt to give a basic Military Knowledge, and makes it easier for a national call to arms. That being the case, it was given to the people to defend the homeland in their own right. Some Militias are better trained and equipped than others, but in the case of war, the Federal Government would seek to right their deficiencies. They also have a tendency to fight like Guerrillas, especially with the geography of the Colombian homelands and it's Jungles and such.
Navy:
The National Colombian Navy- 5,000 men make up the Colombian Navy. The Colombian is relatively well trained for a Navy from the new world, but it's main goal is to protect Colombian Trade. Colombia is by no means a Naval power, it's main focus is it's land forces. Even they are small, their main saving grace is their excessive Militarism/Professionalism.
The Colombian Navy Consists of 43 Ships:
-4 Ships-of-the-line.
-12 Frigates
-27 schooners/blockade runners
The Colombian Marines- This small part of the Colombian armed forces is 1,000 strong. Their main focus is the defense of the Navy's assets, so in practice, they're like Navy Ship guards, and combatants against those who would board a Naval Ship of the Republic of Colombia.

Brief Description of your Economy:
Goals:
1) Industrialize.
2) Make The Colombian Military the best trained in Latin America.
3) Become Economically dominant.
History:
1776- Taking inspiration from the Revolutions of the North, the Iberian colonies in the South took up arms against the taxes imposed by the Revolutionary Congress, and the now Infamous General Simon Bolivar.
1778- The Revolutionary Government is making progress, the war beginning to cause heavy strains on the Iberians, the war being so widespread.
1783- The Treaty of Paris formalizes the Independence of the Republic of Colombia, and it's new found Freedom.
1784- Strife ensues between the Regionalisms and the Federalists over what type of Constitution to adopt.
1785- The Constitution of 1785, which has a Bill of Rights intact, establishes a Federalist Constitution.
1786- The First Tax System is put in place. The Revenue is used to begin paying debts gained during the war, and the Military begins down sizing. It also begins paying it's veterans.
1790- The Republic begins to calm down after the initial years of independence, and as far a things go, everything is stable. The Republic now goes about a couple things. Attracting investment, integrating it's territory, and overall developing economic policy.
1804- The Republic begins shifting to an Industrial economy, entrepreneurs opening textile factories.

History: In the 1690s, Saif bin Sultan, the Imam of Oman, pressed down the Swahili Coast. A major obstacle to his progress was Fort Jesus, housing the garrison of a Portuguese settlement at Mombasa. After a two-year siege, the fort fell to bin Sultan in 1698. Thereafter the Omanis easily ejected the Portuguese from Zanzibar and from all other coastal regions north of Mozambique. The Persians invaded Oman in 1737. They were driven out in 1749 when the Al Said dynasty came to power. It continues to rule Oman to this day.Zanzibar was a valuable property as the main slave market of the Swahili Coast, and became an increasingly important part of the Omani empire, a fact reflected by the decision of the 19th century Imam of Muscat, Sa'id ibn Sultan, to make it his main place of residence in 1837. Sa'id built impressive palaces and gardens in Zanzibar. Rivalry between his two sons was resolved, with the help of forceful British diplomacy, when one of them, Majid, succeeded to Zanzibar and to the many regions claimed by the family on the Swahili Coast. The other son, Thuwaini, inherited Muscat and Oman. Zanzibar influences in the Comoros archipelago in the Indian Ocean indirectly introduced Omani customs to the Comorian culture. These influences include clothing traditions and wedding ceremonies. In 1783, Oman's Seyyid Sultan, defeated ruler of Muscat, was granted sovereignty over Gwadar. This coastal city is located in the Makran region of what is now the far southwestern corner of Pakistan, near the present-day border of Iran, at the mouth of the Gulf of Oman.[note 1][29] After regaining control of Muscat, this sovereignty was continued via an appointed wali ("governor"). The Al Hajar Mountains, of which the Jebel Akhdar is a part, separate the country into two distinct regions: the interior, known as Oman, and the coastal area dominated by the capital, Muscat.
