Im sure that a water landing is much more preferable than a splashdown, and if staff were on it, shouldn't there be personnel on the bridge already?

There's really no way to water land a ship like this without it sinking. It's a very heavy vehicle that isn't designed with water in mind. There were personnel on the bridge, which is where they were coming from in my last post in the IC... Additionally, the staff had the engine fires at least under control for now, as was stated in I believe a couple IC posts ago from me.

I dont think you mentioned that from what i read from your posts from this arc.

Many of the students on board the airship would get little to no sleep because of the constant cracks of lightning outside, and the exterior of the ship was scorched and damaged in some places by the strikes. Radar systems weren’t working at peak efficiency, sometimes they were blacking out entirely, and there had been fires around the propulsion systems that were since put out. When morning actually came, there was an announcement saying that classes were cancelled because of the need to direct staff members towards other tasks on this day. But most of the students were already up and moving, and going about their activities now that classes had been put off.
At least, that was what they were doing until the largest lightning bolt yet struck the airship, causing the place to go pitch black as the reserve engines kicked in, but not the reserve lighting and electronics systems just yet. They were flying blind, quite literally right now.
Tamrida wrote:So for clarification, what kind of airship is this?
As I was considering it a zeppelin sort of ship.

This post says that we still have engines so we aren't even a threat to crash right now. Although Lana did see that in the future but judging from our position in the North Atlantic and the destination of the crash she saw, that's awhile off.Tamrida wrote:So for clarification, what kind of airship is this?

I believe it's been pictured before as looking something like this.

A water landing still doesn't work, because nobody designed the ship to land on water considering most of its time is either spent at airfields or in the air, high in the atmosphere in a cloaked state. The Cross and Davids Star wrote:-snip-

If we switch arcs, we would be doing a 3 arc set titled Lions of Venezia, which would send us to Venice and have us investigating a mysterious and secretive order that poses a threat to the Kings. This is also heavily related to, if any of you remember it, the metallic blob from arc 2. The series would culminate in a large battle, hopefully, while earlier parts would force characters to ask questions and investigate rather than just acting. How many of you want that for arc 4?

I would not shy away from a new arc and believe that this one sounds really interesting. However, I would prefer for the current arc to at least be wrapped up by the end of this storyline so that we don't start to just pick and drop storylines as we please.
