I saw this in the sidebar and it spiked my interest. After going through the idea would be interesting to join in. However, I have never done one of these before and I have a few questions.

1) Are you still accepting new players or would it disrupt the story at this point to add another?
2) Is joining the Discord required? Because I will not be able to do so if it is.

3) How would I properly submit my application to join? From what I see is that people just posted their's in here, so am I correct to assume that that is how I should do it?

• Shadow Camouflage = The ability to become undetectable as long as they are in darkness or shadow. The limit of the use of this ability is 30 seconds.
• Shadow Marionette = The ability to control the muscle spams, not outright full control for now. However, there are hints that she could use it to control movements during adrenaline rush. With more extensive training, it can be done.

Personality: Paranoid, distrustful of strangers with good intentions, and selfish. She is a deeply conflicted person, emotionally speaking. She has ambition, selfishness, and also a little bit of violence streak.

Biography:

Born in a wealthy family and three elder siblings, even from a young age she was brought up with good futures ahead. Alissa was the fourth and youngest child out of four siblings, her father was a rich American businessman, while her stepmother was a former B-class celebrity-turned-Instagram influencer. Not a bad thing, all things considered. But not all were good things for her. The living situation in the new house wasn't terribly well, since her eldest stepbrother hated her and sort of bullied her around. Her stepmother was uncaring as a whole, and her father was busy. It was at this time that she developed her shadow-based powers. She became really good at using it, though when she was 10 it was a basic set of powers.

At school, she was judged mixed. On one hand, she's beautiful and rich, but on the other hand, she was a bit arrogant and rather unfriendly. In time, she developed close circle of friends. But those friends turned out to piggybacking on her richness. Her paranoia and distrust grew higher by this point. It's like everyone is out for her. A change in a day when she accidentally tripped her eldest stepbrother through the use of her Shadow Marionette, where he fell and was hospitalized. At the same time, her father found out that her wife cheated on him. A messy divorce ensued, and her father took her to Bali. She got training in the use of firearms, while she has little interest in martial arts. It was at this time that she started using her powers for bad things. Robbery, store break-ins, small stuffs. She is still trying to finds her right place.

In time, as she grew up, went to high school, college, found fake friends again and again, it turned her more violent. Such days were ended violently when she accidentally killed a few of her friends through the control of a police officer. It was a shoplifting attempt gone wrong. A small-time crime turned big. She was arrested and made into headlines, even her father was disappointed at her. Kings Family came by and freed her, under the condition that she enrolled in their academy.

She accepted it, perhaps to also learns of her place.

"Awaken...the duchess of heresy!" Opening her eyes once more, they were now red as a shadow completely covered her face, while 4 swords appeared behind her and 1 in her hand. Following behind Candace, she got to work as she sliced her way into the building, one sword in hand to counter attack while the other swords spun and butchered up everyone that tried to attack her. Although the distance between her and the swords was somewhat considerable at 15 meters, she still stood slightly behind the rampaging Candace as she eventually let her fifth sword join the fight.

Skills: Has received training in melee unarmed combat, skilled at one on one melee combat of any sort, has mild experience in using handguns, great at acting, is good with computers and hacking. He also has an easier time with persuading people because of his psychics abilities.
Flaws: His ambition to make people fear himand his generally violent attitude do help when it comes to making the kill, but his means to the ends can be questionable, and major flaws can be found in his logic. Also suffers from occasional migraines so overwhelmingly strong that they leave him physically disabled due to the pain.

Personality: Kane is very cocky, often to the point where he underestimates his opponents power. He has a short temper and somewhat of an ego, though he isn’t egotistical to the point of being unbearable. Kane can be kind, friendly, even caring, though very few people ever see that side of him. Kane can lose his cocky demeanor and get serious, usually doing this when facing large groups of opponents or opponents who pose a major threat to him.

Biography: Technically born in Lowell, Massachusetts while his parents were on a visit with some family who lived in the area, Kane spent the first 17 years of his life in Newport. He first discovered his powers at age 13, unbeknownst to his family. He hid his powers, which at the time he believed were just to hear thoughts and speak to other people’s minds. He was popular as a young man, known for being a jock with a short fuse, excellent grades, a tendency to get into fights with anyone who pissed him off, and a signature cocky smirk. As he got into high school, his powers grew much more powerful, and more impulsive. He would openly taunt people with their worst fears, gathered from a simple glance into their mind, earning him a great deal of enemies. Three of these enemies confront him and his brother on their way home from school. The three overwhelmed Kane and out of sheer panic, he tried to use his power to protect himself, putting out a psychic wave that killed the three assailants, his brother, and four other witnesses to the fight. Fearing that he would be arrested, Kane fled his home town and never returned. For the next year and a half he ran from the police, murdering many more people on his way. During his time on the road, the Kings Family noticed him for all the crimes he committed, and he was extended an offer to join while he was making his way through Chicago. Seeing his opportunity to gain the fear of the people he wished for, he accepted.

Primary Ability: Lana has a wide variety of ways that she can control shadows. Primarily, she can create constructs out of shadow energy that behave like solid objects. These constructs are limited in size, because larger ones require more energy for her to maintain constantly. She can also create darkness to cover an area with, that she can see through but that others will struggle in, even with the help of infrared sight. She can also affect existing shadows, bending them and altering them. Her creation ability applies to her own body and she can add body parts to herself using shadows.

Other Abilities: Lana has flashes of foresight and will often see glimpses of the future out of order, sometimes involving herself and sometimes revolving around the world in general. Of course, these are hard to distinguish between normal dreams, and she isn't able to pick what she sees.

Skills: Vast potential when it comes to powers, smooth talker and also very intelligent... When she puts in the effort, which isn't a lot of the time.
Flaws: Her arrogance is a flaw because it blinds her from seeing the right path at times. She has relatively little experience despite talking big and acting like someone with authority, and she's not actually great at management. Her control of her powers is dodgy at times. Her hedonism gets in the way of clear thinking.

PERSONAL
Personality: Lana believes that the world is her birthright, and she has enough power to back up that assumption much of the time, even though her control isn't great. She's authoritative, condescending at times, but she thinks it's truly the best route for her to lead. She doesn't value people, as seen with her sport killing, and it's hard for someone to move out of the category that she considers as simply an animal.

Biography: Theoretically, Lana should have been a normal person and should have been a quite successful one at that. She was born with a single mother, but her mother was pretty rich and involved with running a criminal enterprise, and so she didn't have to worry about not having things. In fact, she was rather spoiled and her mother wasn't afraid to let her spend hundreds of dollars at a time on whatever she wanted growing up. From an early age, she was the stereotypical popular mean girl who had all the fanciest clothes and made fun of others who couldn't afford the same life. She wasn't a good person, but at least she was fairly normal. But when she became a teenager, she wanted to know more about her father, and she learned that she was the offspring of a powerful villain.

Well, she wanted to be one, too. And if she couldn't just sign up for the Kings Family, she would get their attention. She had always used her powers for fun, but she shifted them to a darker use and terrorized people around her neighborhood, becoming a serial killer that left behind no evidence like bullets or fingerprints to help the police in identifying who the killer was. She was a sociopath, plain and simple. She didn't think of most people as much more than animals and she would kill them, sometimes painfully, before taking their things and using shadow energy to destroy their bodies and the evidence. She became known as the Phantom Killer in Portugal, and Interpol started an investigation into her and her crimes as well as the highest level of police in Portugal.

But her power made it easy to not leave much behind, and she continued her crime spree, trying to get the attention of the Kings Family and specifically her father, who she had never met. Over the course of that crime spree, she lost more of the little humanity that she had, becoming more and more coldhearted. She committed other crimes. Sometimes she left her victims alive, and scarred for life. And every time she thought about it, and whether or not she should change, she realized she was in too deep. She was the Phantom Killer, whether she liked it or not. She embraced it, and she eventually became a recruit for the Kings Family... Where she set the goal of taking over and impressing the father she had never met.
