L-Fel | Cassia

Cassius hadn't gone to sleep, but that hadn't stopped him from pretending. He'd lain perfectly still in bed for the entire night, imagining that Aestus, the armoured god in the same house, was having a boring time. After all, in such heavy garments he could hardly move without drowning the world in the sound of metal on metal. He felt sorry for the sea-related deity. Neither of them needed to sleep and neither were human. Did Julian make a habit of calling upon sleepless gods to help her with investigating secretive paramilitary organisations? It perplexed him. Then again, so did most things nowadays.

He rose at exactly 8:00 am, deciding to change up his look for the day. Cass adopted the appearance of a young red-haired woman with brown eyes and winter clothes, doing her best to fit in with the humans of the house. She could hardly make Jules feel uncomfortable in the presence of so many nonhumans, could she? Well she technically could, but she didn't want to. Jules deserved her respect. Ah! speak of the devil! There she was now!

"Hello there, Ms. Yamada! It's me, Cassia; in case you didn't recognise me. So are we embarking on our journey now or do you have anything you'd like to do? There's a wonderful aroma coming from your kitchen. Have you eaten yet?"

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Marcus, still only barely lucid, sat up on the dungeon floor and tried to clear his head. There were... things swirling around inside his head, almost like sandpaper on the inside of his skull. The feeling was so firm, so physical that he might've mistaken it for a head injury if it weren't so patently obvious that he was just disoriented. Why was he so much more dizzy this time around? He clutched the wall and tried to heave himself up, stumbling and nearly vomiting over his knees. Blood red swirled at the edge of his eyes, lazily peeking through his peripheral vision. Mnemosyne. He'd already forgotten the thing in his head and all that he'd said to it - but next time they met, he'd remember it all again. It was like Nem was a key to his mind, one that he couldn't remember anything without.

"...yes. We should get moving."

He shuffled toward the door, trying his best not to upturn his entire stomach onto the floor.

Polly, meanwhile, was brawling her way through a sea of students and guards. She was surrounded on all sides by independently moving blobs of metal, ranging from chair legs to floating knives. Her magnetic abilities threw people around, carving a wave through the mob. Behind her she left dozens of bruised and unconscious people, all the while using her not inconsiderable electrical discharges to tase anyone who came too close. Someone shouted something authoritative and cast a spell at her, glowing green. She slashed the spell out of the air with a globule of fluid and fired a shot into his leg. Not many people were paying much attention to her, all things considered. Was that a cat? Yeah, there was a talking cat too. It sounded like the witch from earlier. She considered killing it but reconsidered, reasoning that she'd only get Madi in trouble.

Something heavy slammed into her side, throwing her to the ground. Polly looked up just in time to cross her arms over head face, protecting her from the boot of some pillock accidentally trampling her. She did her best to get up but now she was thoroughly under the crowd, pinned by people around her. Spells and bright lights dazzled her eyes as she tried to get to the exit; but for all her efforts she could only barely sit up, let alone stand. Fucking- what the hell was going on!? The carnage around her, the prison, the absolute crap that she'd been through today.

"Enough is enough!"

Polly held up her hands and slammed the ground with her palms, causing a wave of magnetic energy to ripple through the room. Those closest to her, within a few metres of her body were immediately knocked off their feet and thrown through the air as the heme in their blood suddenly accelerated to the speed of an olympic sprinter away from the explorer. Finding herself suddenly completely devoid of company Polly leapt to her feet and accelerated from a standstill to mach 2 out the door, creating an enormous blast of pressurised air as she cleared the gate, blowing them wide open and possibly causing no insignificant amount of property damage. She flew over the landscape and landed near the AEGIS camp, kneeling on the ground, covered in cuts, burn marks and blood. She stood up, dusted herself off and approached the nearest soldier, hoping she could get back in time to prevent any more catastrophes from going down. Miria would have to find her way over here on her own, she supposed.

"Attention! My name is Polly, representing the Interuniversal Explorers' Federation of Earth. As a the acting diplomat and liaison for my organisation I demand an immediate audience with the highest ranking officer available; preferably someone who knows how to field an army."

Secrets of the Raven
Branhwrn, Club Midnight

"That so? Looks like we both share that same curse huh?" Elizabeth though when Dawn warned her that terrible things occur to those that she care for. Elizabeth will never admit to the others about the misfortune that seems to happen to people around her as she knew they would leave her quickly and while the party she has does make her pull on her own hair many times she was starting to grow use to them slowly. Besides she benefits most having a group in most of her cases and right now she doubt any of her usual contacts can reach her on time to help her in this case besides those already in the town: of course the next question would be if any of them would want to help her after what had happened to the other two she had called for help.

As Elizabeth mused about her rotten luck she felt Simon letting her go. "Unfortunately so. These people don't look like the type who don't like waiting." Simon agreed, earning a nod from the man as he rubbed his hands. "Yes, the manager is a very busy man so he can't afford to be carried away from his work for too long. Not with what is riding on the line for him." The young man said. Elizabeth looked at Dawn. "Never thought of you to be the type to make jokes. You are just full of surprises aren't you?" The witch gave the goddess a smile. But as quickly as the smile came it quickly turn into a frown after hearing what Dawn said about her.

The young man however smiled at the comment. "From what I know about Ashwood that might be the case. She truly is a pitiful creature." The chaos witch in question glared at the man. Before she can curse out the man Simon covered her mouth, yet her loud muffled screams can still be heard which only amuses the man more. When Zelena mentioned she had interesting acquaintances the witch chuckled. "You can say that again. Even better you haven't met the rest of the members of my little group yet." The man moved a clinch towards to his lips and made a fake cough to get everyone's attention. “Will you all follow me please the man lead the way with the group following behind. As they moved through the crowd the dancers parted away from the man and the group, Elizabeth was impressed by the small feat but wonder if it was because of his presence or by some strange power he had?

As he lead them to a decrypted wood door that Elizabeth was sure was never there. "Is your boss behind that door?" Simon asked. The man didn't turn to face Simon but he kept his back to the group as a smile form on his face as he reached for the gilded door knob. "No but it is the path to his room." He said as he twisted the knob and opened the door to invite everyone to enter. ""I'm taking you all on a tour of our wonderful facilities, courtesy of The Fates. Come with me and don't touch the paintings. Please keep your arms and legs inside the stairwell at all times. If you lose your fingers or toes there is a very affordable Jivenila cult downstairs who can patch you up." The man looked at the group. "And no pictures please. We will not be held responsible if anything occurs if you break that rule."

The group would hear as they began to descend down the tight, badly lit, stairway. As the music of the party began to fade new sounds took their place. The group would hear loud metallic groans and banging follow by electronic buzzing. The source would be revealed to be both red LED lights that gave the subterranean levels of the club it's poorly made lights and the copper pipes that had something flowing in them. Elizabeth had a feeling that the pipes were as rusted as the walls they covered but it was hard to know due fo the lightning. Just like with Jackie's tour there were endless rows of coffins, enclaves and empty sconces. Yet unlike the first tour the group would see a group of men and women carrying crates or pulling on metal cages with wheels, their content covered by a red wine velvet covers; yet the cries and roars of beasts and what sound like people gave the group enough hints to imagine what were in the cage.

The men and women, all dressed in clothing one would expect from regular working class folk, all had a blank lifeless look and black yarn sewn to their mouth, keeping them forever silent. Elizabeth and others with extraordinary senses can see the faint otherworldly glow coming from their eyes and even sense that workers were not human. These workers were zombies Elizabeth thought, just corpses being hijacked by some other entity to do The Fates dirty work. As the zombies walked past the group all of them took a glance at the group before went to one of the many enclaves.

As the group walked forward they can hear their feet splashing on some unknown fluids, the smell coming from it was another clue to its existence. Elizabeth looked at the glowing runes align in the room with the tunes being the only reason she noticed the handprints, the aura sharing the same color of dried blood as the prints. As the group travelled deeper they heard the ominous chanting, the scampering of feet on the hard ground, and many other noises that they couldn't recognize, some sounding mechanical in nature and others alien. Theur guide gave them the option of partaking in their fine ritual and sacrificial chambers, an offer most declined. Their guide chose them corridors leading to such wonderful rooms: from the altars of Shalibara who the guide claims amplifies the pleasure of the clients above, the great feasting halls of Jinque'Silai, whose endless banquet goes on and on, his followers consuming and being consumed in a cycle. Whose power consumes the existence of intruders. Yet their guide showed more rooms that were not present during Jackie's tour.

“Ah this one is the great stages and ball rooms of Cassamheria, the great muse who gives artists and poets visions of the cosmic truth so their great works can enlighten the masses. Many artists who come here to donate their creations all souls blessed by the great muse. Some of our gorgeous paintings come from those blessed artists. On the left we have the arenas of Klorin’oxira, the great conquer and arbiter of valor and vengeful justice. In those arenas the paladins and champions of the great conquer prove themselves fit for the god's future conflicts against his adversaries, the blood of the fallen strengthening the winner and the souls being offered to the warrior king. Some of our top security guards having special runes carved on to their flesh and bone to channel a small percent of his power should they need some additional assistance to deal with troublesome guests and intruders.” the guide explained.

As he explained other rooms and even the fact the pipes lead to an incinerator that curses people with immorality and burns them within the machine until they are sacrificed to a demon for a useful deal; those and the talks of sacrifice and ritual torture and eldritch insanity were overshadowed by one thought going in Elizabeth's mind. “Holy shit there is so much edge in this level that I'm surprised none of us have bleed to death already.”. The witch sighed. Though she will admit that seeing so much of the cults she dealt with in past cases being gathered under one roof was making her nervous, occultists and sorcerers aren't known to forgive and forget past transgressions done to them after all.

Thankfully when they reached the level with the strip club and extra pleasure rooms they helped ease Elizabeth's mind by distracting her with the moans coming from the rooms. Sadly for anyone who wants to enter the strip club they would hear from their guide that most of the group can enter for lacking the sights to see some of the dancers and that even if they could they would have to wait later. Elizabeth and the others can smell aromatic scented incense, burnt and decaying flesh, chemicals and burnt metal, and sweat and other aromas associated with sex. Looking through the windows Elizabeth saw a feminine figure and many thrashing tentacles. “I've seen way too many hentai to know where this is going.” she commented as she walk past the club entrance. The sprinklers above released perfume to help set the mood of the room. As Elizabeth smelled it she found that she liked the sweet scent, she wonder if the Fates were willing to let her buy it?

The group went through many locations and saw many things in the hall: They have witness the heart of living heart of dark star still beating in a freezer made to honor one of the Wind Walker, the ruins of the city of Khannzar, the rebirthing gardens of Maseodos being attended by immortal gardens and their organic servants grown from the fruits made by the holy trees, the drain of agony and the river of sorrow, the pit of dark fertility, the submerged temple of Ulyaoth, the twisting library of Xel'lotath, the burning kiln of Chattur'gha, the haunted catacombs of Mantorok. They found elevators taking one to different realities, wormholes through space, time, and other universes, moving paintings showing scenes throughout Earth's history, jars containing animated cybernetic body parts including heads, flocks of crystal birds that speak in different accidents, a grandfather clock powered by the enchanted vines of a demon with the skull laughing at the group.

Not only was magic saturating this level but time and space was heavily distorted. “No, it's reality that is seriously broken in here.” As the group went past more of the strange oddity, even avoiding a group of fish people trying to preach about their gods to them, the group would soon reach the paintings of the two leaders and the gilded door. The man open the door and let them in. When Elizabeth enter she looked around the room and saw Jackie. “So that is where you went? So are you enjoying yourself?” She says as she walked to another seat and sat down, her body sinking into the cushion of the seat. “hmmm, I like this chair she moved around to be in a better position. “I will let the manger know that you are all here their guide said as he left the room. Now in the room Elizabeth looked around. “So Jackie what did you see from your trip through the pathway of madness?” the witch asked, curious if they saw any rooms she saw. “Also did they did anything to you?” this questioned asked just to make sure the Fates didn't do anything to her or made her something that made her more nuttier than usual

Secrets of the Raven | Jacquelyn

Jacquelyn...

Your name. It smells delicious. "May God protect".

Are your authors your gods? Are gods simply authors made manifest? Yes and yes. To each author their god and to each god their playthings.

Tap tap tap tap

You- she, Jacquelyn, looked up as Elizabeth entered the room. Her fingers stopped, her index half way to the tablecloth, trembling in the air. A moment of trapped inaction, tense as a steel cable. Her eyes shone like jewels, glimmering white with speckles of sunlight yellow. They scrutinised Elizabeth, that fine piece of kindling. Her bones, her marrow, her flesh would make a good flame. Hearty warmth for a warm heart. Soulless and cold logic, contained and concentrated emotion. She coated herself in platinum paint, concealing the crude clockwork beneath her skin. Jack breathed out slowly, dragging her finger across the table and leaving a deep blackened scar in the pristine fabric.

"Ashwood..."

Jack slammed her palms on the edge of the table, rising in an instant and leaning into Elizabeth until their faces were nearly touching. Unbearable heat lingered around her like a coat of fire, thorny tendrils of light lapping at Ashwood's face. She delicately lifted her middle finger and placed it against her thumb, preparing to click. A singularity of energy built between her fingertips, pressing against the walls of the room like a crushing presence. It was all her target could do to press further back into her chair, shying away from Jackie's imminent detonation. Her entire body shuddered, her veins and arteries glowing an incandescent, hellish red as the blood inside her began to boil.

Jacquelyn raised her arm behind her leisurely, a deep growling building up in her throat. An indescribably awesome, horrible sound. It built up to a shriek, a beautiful, rapacious one-voiced crescendo of hatred and insanity. Her eyes were unsteady now, quivering, yet never looking away from Elizabeth's.

"Kazuun vasada, mayek pan'kool!"

She struck in a thunderous instant, propelling her elbow forward as her arm trailed behind. Her hand caught up with the rest of her body a split second later, her finger slowly slipping off her thumb and dropping toward the palm. It fell and fell, striking the little fleshy lump with a loud click, releasing an eruption of fire about as big as a firecracker in Elizabeth's face. She paused for a moment, cracked a smile and playfully flicked Elizabeth's nose, laughing out loud.

"Aw, c'mon Lizzy! It was just a prank! No need to give me that look, yeah? "

She sat back down and put her chin up on both hands, sighing softly at the smell of the biscuits and tea. Wonderful. Just intoxicatingly, dizzyingly wonderful.

"So you got the guided tour experience too, right? Can't say I saw much of interest. Just a buncha bullshit clown dens and strippers' rooms. And before you ask, they didn't do anything to me; I pulled off that stunt of my own free will. I'm S-grade crazy, no matter the circumstance."

She picked up a shortbread star with one hand and lazily dipped it in a cup of black tea, lifting it gently and watching the droplets pool on its edges and drip back into the cup.

"Now that you're here, do you mind telling me what's next? We didn't really have a contingency for 'getting pulled backstage', even though that was sorta what we were hoping for. Got any ideas, Liz?"

L-Fel

Aestus had been "sleeping" the entire night, standing beside one of the walls without consciousness. He continued like this until the morning, when he felt a small creature jerking at his scarf and whining. His little shark had smelled Jules's cooking, and wanted Aestus to check it out with him. Suddenly coming to consciousness once more, he noticed the aurora as well, and set off to the kitchen with his aquatic friends.

"Good morning, Jules. Thanks for making us breakfast, though I don't think I'll be eating anything myself" Aestus said, pulling out a chair and carefully sitting down at the table. He was surprised by the food, back where he was from, many of these food items didn't exist or just weren't commonly eaten. Eggs were common, of course, but he had never seen bacon before. Nonetheless, this wouldn't stop his small companions, who clambered down to enjoy some of the food. The small shark nibbled at some eggs along with a few of its clownfish and shrimp friends, while Aestus sneakily removed some bacon from the table to give to his manta ray, which had been hanging out on the floor.

Noticing the redhead, he was initially confused, but since he remembered that they were a shape shifter, and that Jules said Cassius was at the house, he realized that it was the shapeshifter themself.
"Oh, are you Cassius? I'm High Revolutionary of the Tides Aestus, Lesser God of Marine Life, though you can just call me Aestus," he said to them.

"We're going to leave at 10, but I'm about to eat now. You may join in if you want" Julian smiled at the woman in front of her, unfazed by her change in appearance.

As the sea creatures nibbled at their morsels, Julian ate her own breakfast. She smiled as she watched them eat. It was just so...adorable. They seemed to like eggs the most. Julian took note of this.

As she finished up, Julian put the some of the food in tupperware to make quick meals for the rest of the week. She started to do the dishes.

"Feel free to just hang around for the moment, guys. We have an hour to kill."

The Forbidden Act

None of the Reavers said nothing to Tone's claims of them being afraid, mainly because they don't want anyone to see any signs of weakness from them. As Tone warn them that Avarice was the enemy the soldiers did nothing, they just watch the exchange. The Reavers who had drift on their arms ignored it as they could take it. As they began to take Tone away so he won't cause any trouble. As Ava walked to where an injured soldier, who was getting medigel treatment for their injuries, was Hex looked the hunters. "We will keep an eye on him and the "girl" to make sure none of them cause anymore trouble." Hex looked at Moira. "Now can you please tell me why you think telling an obvious hunter the identity of the concept was a good idea?"

The Third Wizarding War

Unfortunately for War his threat of dragging Miranda to the abyss had the exact opposite reaction that he wanted as she made no clue of her presence in the room, in fact the invisible agent was no longer in the room as the threat made her flee all the more quickly. Elsewhere in the castle the team in the castle decided to find anyone who would hear them out about the monster, the creature still climbing the walls to find a good way to enter the castle unnoticed.

In the camp site agent Allman was doing his usual patrols when suddenly a strange woman appeared and came to him. As she introduced herself to him and who she worked with. "Looks like we aren't the only ones interested in this place. Granted our interest isn't really so much for this world specifically." Allman said. He began to use the built in microphone to get in contact with his superiors to tell them what is going on, though the camera headset recorded what he was seeing and hearing.

"Right follow me miss." The soldier said. The two would go deeper into the camp. The two would find an elderly dark skin man watching over a few upgrades being done to some robots when he turn to face Polly. "I heard you are looking for someone who could lead an army. First I want to know more about who you work for and why you are in this world?"

The Third Wizarding War
Miria

Boom

Miria hit the floor. Her whole body ached; it was as if her veins had tried to tear themselves out, as she was thrown back. She could almost feel her blood sloshing and moving inside of her, and the burning sensation that lingered all over afterwards wasn't very pleasant at all. Then again, nothing felt very pleasant after that little crowd control move. Miria's side ached where she'd hit the floor, and she'd had her breath knocked out, leaving her coughing for a moment until she could regain her bearings; her back would have probably felt like her hip, if it hadn't been for her rucksack breaking her fall. She strained to move her body, wincing from the pain all over, an struggling to get from underneath the legs and bodies of various students, until she stumbled out onto more even ground.

When she opened her eyes, though, she saw...nothing. Well, she saw a haze, but that was as good as nothing to Miria, who suddenly felt very vulnerable. Hobbling and blind, she found panic once more creeping up on her, as she desperately began to pat herself down, trying to find her glasses. Without them to help her see, she was a sitting duck, and the last thing that she wanted was to be left behind and unable to see in the middle of a battle, especially with an aggressive demon-man chasing her.

Unfortunately, her glasses weren't on her, but on the floor, a few feet away; they were easy to spot, at least for anyone else besides her, although Miria didn't expect much help when most of those people around her were probably enemies, or at least too preoccupied to help. The realization that she had lost her spectacles in the middle of their situation made her rising panic finally surface, and though Polly had tried to bring some temporary stop to the chaos, the girl couldn't quite contain herself, as she began to breathe heavily, and kneel down to frantically feel around the floor for her glasses, nervously mumbling to herself and hoping that she wouldn't be snatched up without them. She was already lost, but she wasn't going to tolerate spending her time blind as well.

She just needed to find it...maybe if she squinted harder or tried to look for something on the blurry floor, but...it was no use. She couldn't even see her hands in front of her. She needed to find them though, or else-

There they were! Miria's panic evaporated as she snatched up the small frame. She almost cried, she was so relieved to feel the light spectacles in her hands, and to see her blurry world become crystal clear once more. Miria fitted her glasses back on, and clambered back to her feet, to try and catch up with Polly and the other strangers.

Her hip still hurt...

Their being brought to the other group of Humans from before was, surprisingly, a less unpleasant experience than their meeting with the Magic users, though Miria still didn't trust anyone. She was grumpy over Polly's attack, and annoyed that they still hadn't gotten Madi or Marcus back. She also just didn't want to be questioned by the soldiers, so she decided that she would let Polly speak first, while she took in the scenery around her, and tried to determine what sort of technology the other Humans had, and if it was similar to anything she would be familiar with.

Madi
The Wizarding War
Hogwarts

Madi led Marcus up the stairs, then pulled him into an alcove and waited as two screaming guards ran past the alcove as several students ran after them, firing random spells.
"...That was close. Come on."
She led Marcus through the castle, through the hallways, dodging this strange black goo substance and students, guards, and occasionally one of the high-tech muggles.
They eventually reached Umbridge's Office and Madi blasted the door to bits and ran inside, dragging Marcus behind her.

Umbridge was seated at her desk, a strange look on her face. her head snapped up as Madi ran in.
".....How.....How did you..."
She shut up as Madi went over and leaned over the desk.
"You. Stop talking. Right now. I need something that's here."
Umbridge swallowed and looked between Madi and Marcus.
"...I....I don't know what to do..."
The woman seemed to be battling in her mind but she sighed.
"....Very well. Take what you want, if it'll help you deal with the Muggles and their....technology..."
Madi began to walk into another room but stopped.
"Here's what you do. You inform the Ministry of what's going on, you tell them you need Aurors here or whoever they can contact, and that you tell them to get here ASAP."

The Witch left the room and a second later there was the sound of shattering glass and Madi walked back into the Office holding a sword. The Sword of Gryffindor.
"Right.....let's see if this thing can still kill stuff."
A Spider from the Forest then broke the wall and Madi spun around the stabbed the thing in the forehead. It died instantly and Madi merely looked down at it.
".....The hell....."
She took a step back and pulled the sword from the spider's head, blue blood dripping from the blade and hissing as it hit the carpet.
".....Yep. it still can kill stuff."
Madi glanced at Marcus.
"Let's go find the others."
Umbridge quietly spoke from her desk.
"...I....The Ministry knows....they are sending Aurors...."
Both of them had reached the door by now and Madi stopped and looked back.
"Good. Now, you stay here, and don't interfere with anyone or anything."
Umbridge could only nod and the pink toad watched in amazement as Madi twirled the sword around her head before sliding it into a scabbard that had just now appeared at her side.
Then they were gone.

Ammy appeared in a flash of light and looked around. It was morning, wherever this place was, she was surrounded by houses that were very tall and well taken care off. Strange metal things were nearby the houses, strange metal boxes that had glass and rubber. The Sun Goddess picked a random direction and started walking, hoping she could meet someone who could tell her where she was.

The Third Wizarding War
Hogwarts

The agents saw more of the black ooze in the halls, and with them more bodies of dead students and teachers and facility staff. As they agents ran past most deserted and destroyed classroom they found several slime covered students, all moving in stiff and ragged motion. "Oh hell no, I've seen enough horror movies to know what is up." One agent said as the students turned to the agents, all of them raining their wands at them.

The students uttered in raspy voices the names of various spells and as they flew the agents all went to a class and hide from the students as they slam the door on them. The agents began to move the desks to use as cover and aim above them as the students began to hit the door with spells. 9nce the door explode due to a bludgeoning spell the agents began to open fire at the students before they can utter a single word and send out a spell; blood and black ooze explode out from the bullets and splatter on the students behind them such as the bullets exited and enter the next student due to them being lineup close to the ones shot at.

As the agents focus on taking out the students trying to barge into the classroom throughout the school the bodies of dead students and school staff were rising up and shambling through the halls . The reanimated bodies would attack anyone who they see, most beating their victim until they couldn't move do they would puke out the black slime in their mouths or in their wounds. Those that had enough of the black slime inside of them would loose control as they would turn on their friends and try to infect the others. Even the dead agent was spotted as he shot at anyone he saw, his face clear of the ooze that lead to his death and his uniform cut oron and his chest and abdomen covered in solidified ooze, showing that the creature cut him open and puked into him to control his body.

Miranda was still running away from War but was in the halls free from the ooze. As she stopped she press her back against the wall and began to relax. Yet as she tried to relax she heard a loud screech that made her blood chill. The woman didn't move as she heard something walking on the stone floor. The woman carefully and slowly took out her pistol and waited for the creature to be visible to her. Yet as she waited for her she never saw it appear even when the noise by it was close.

The answer would come when Miranda felt something land on her shoulder, turning slowly she saw a drop of black ooze on her shoulder. The woman would feel another ooze land on the top of her head. The woman quickly got away from the wall just as she heard a loud screech above her. The woman chose to run away, aware that her chances against it alone was not good. The agent saw a stream of black ooze nearly hit her as it came from her right side. The next stream hit her on her left arm even if it was a graze. Miranda let out a scream of pain as she felt the ooze burn her skin and clothing, steam coming off the ooze as it burn away everything it made contact and bubbles forming on the slime. Miranda heard the creature screeching as it began to chase her.

The agent room out flashbang and threw it behind her; when the explosive exploded she heard the creature screeching in pain. Yet she couldn't celebrate when she felt another projectile of slime hitting her back and screamed again as it began to burn. Yet the woman forced herself to keep on fleeing, her invisibility now fading away. As she saw that she was now become visible and felt more of her skin being eaten away by the slime the woman knew her chances of survival were now abysmal, there was no way she will get out of this alive.

The woman turn to face the creature and took out her gun. "You are one ugly son of a bitch." She said, her fingers pulling on the trigger. As the gun fired out the creature screeched, both the sounds of the bullets firing out and the creatures screech of pain and rage echoing throughout the halls of the school.

War continued to follow Miranda’s aura, until the trail went cold all of a sudden. Turning into a random hall he heard gun shots, and unsheathing chaos eater from his back, he ran towards the sounds of battle. He saw the ooze like creature and narrowed his eyes before summoning his steed ruin as he ran, then he jumped onto it, riding into the creature of ooze, swinging and slashing away with his giant sword with one hand while holding onto ruin’s reigns with his other. Ignoring any pain he felt, how little it was, he jumped off of ruin, dispersing the horse, and as he landed he put his other hand on the hilt of chaos eater and sled it’s point into the ground, causing other blades to rise up around him, their purpose to shred anything that ran into them to shreds and running through anything that was on top of where the blades appeared.

The Third Wizarding War
Hogwarts

After War's surprising arrival Miranda was left stupefied by what just happened. The creature was moving away from War as it screech in pain. The creature was a monstrous, lanky figure. It's body is made up of white segmented armor resembling a porcelain doll was now covered in cracks, some being shattered to reveal more ooze covering whatever was contained within the armor. The many long spindly arms all pointed it's long and thin claws at War, the claws connected to shirt and stubby hands which were coated in the sludge. The feet were also covered in the same sludge and were armed with claws. It's mouth let out a hiss as it's needle-like teeth were bared at to him, more ooze leaking out of its mouth, nose, and empty holes it had for eyes. The creatures mouth was fractured, not only giving it a wide smile but increasing the radius of it's bite.

The creature crawled away from him as it hiss at him. The creature fired off more of the slime at him, the slime acting like an adhesive the moment it landed on his feet. The creature slam it's hand on the ground on it's shadow. The War would see its shadow ripple like it was the surface of a body of water being disturbed. As it rose its hand up War would see a slimey tendril rise from the shadow and like a wrathful serpent the tentacle would lunge and hit the horseman on his chest, the slime on his feet losing its stickiness so he would be sent flying. Miranda wasn't able to dodge war so she was hit by the giant man, knocking her out and injuring her. War can feel the slime on him trying to burn away his armor.

Before he can get up the tendril would slam itself on him again, pinning him to the ground. The creature crawled to him and began to puke out more slime to keep him stuck on the floor.

The Forbidden Act | Tone
Collaboration with Naval Monte

As the Reavers began to drag Tone through the thick foliage of the forest and staining his pants with the soil, dirt, and smudge plant matter. The Reavers would stop as more of their kind drop their thermo-optic camo. "Wait. We can't have him go to the camp like this." The Reaver pulled out a black silk bag and put it over Tone's head. The bag released a minor arcane effect that made Tone less willing to struggle against the Reavers. "Now he is presentable. Move along." The two Reavers continue on their way as the other Reavers moved forward, vanishing as they enter the former battlefield.

The walk through the forest was uneventful thankfully, only the calls of the wildlife and snapping of twigs were heard as well as leaves wrestling in the wind. Tone would soon begin to hear the sound of people talking and machinery. As he enter the camp he would hear a few Jiggas that AEGIS captured roaring as they try to break out of their cages and one person telling them to shut up.

Tone would not see it but the damages caused by the monsters were mostly repaired, it looked as the attack never happened. But for Tone that isn't all too important; neither was the chatter of the people around him talking about him and Ava weren't important due to his current predicament. No what would be important is the fact the Reavers stopped and him hearing them talking about how they have a new detainee "Good. Bring him in." With those words Tone was brought inside the unknown structure. Once inside the Reavers dragged Tone to a chair were they forced him to sit, there began to restrain him more.

The two Reavers checked on the restraints and once they were sure they were secured they removed the bag over his head but as he was freed from one darkness he found that he was 8jna dark room, it appears the Reavers can see in the dark. He heard the Reavers walking away from and heard the two stop. The room was eerily quiet for a few seconds when then bright white LED lights from above suddenly turned on, blinding him for a while.

Looking around he found a simple metal table and a blue plastic chair with metal bars acting as both support legs, arms covered in blue plastic, and spines for the chair. He also found a large glass window he couldn't see through.

Tone would hear another door opening and hear the speaker in the room sound out a man's voice"Good afternoon Detainee..." the sound of papers flushing could be heard. "4123. I understand you caused us some grief over a little incident over another entity that assisted us on eliminating a threat entity. Can you explain to us your reasons behind your actions?" The man asked. The man waited but Tone said nothing to him.

"Hello? Detainee-4123, you're going to need to start talking."

Valerian looked down at his hands. He was perfectly still, mulling over his failure to kill Avarice. All that effort and time, only to be pulled away at the last moment by these... technological mongrels. He sighed and pulled gently at the cuffs and his eyes flickered for a moment. His head snapped up, staring straight at the one-way mirror behind which his interviewer almost certainly stood. He stared deep at the pane and said;

"Let me out."

Doctor Scry, the leading expert in extradimensional expatriates (and master of alliterative monologues) took another sip of coffee and adjusted his chair, looking at the subject before him. Strange person. Very powerful, too. The sensors had gone haywire when they'd looked at him; it was no wonder he was so avid to get rid of "Ava". Both of them were almost incomprehensibly concentrated balls of energy. Ava, though, was on an entirely different level. He might've felt sorry for the guy if he hadn't spent three decades learning how to dehumanise those he interviewed. If he got attached, bad things could happen; especially in the case of mind-affectors like this guy.

"There are seven layers of psionic screening, nine metres of grade-V hazmat cladding and three esoteric containment chamber walls between us. That won't work."

Tone looked around the room he'd been bundled into. Solid steel walls concealing an array of scientific and anomalous marvels, no doubt. They'd really gone to the ends of the earth to keep him in here. Heaters lined the walls, countering any attempt to freeze his cuffs. Every time he tried to mutate the bacteria and tiny insects on his skin, he felt counterwaves pressing against his skull. Yet, he was by no means powerless.

"You are making an inexcusable mistake. Look at the readings you have on 'Avarice'. It's a monster, a devourer of worlds and a threat to us all. Don't you understand? I was about to kill the greatest evil that this universe has ever seen and you pulled me away. Send me back, give me a gun and I'll be finished in less than a day."

Scry shrugged and turned off the mic, swivelling in his chair for a few seconds and thinking about his lunch. All he needed was the entity's name, abilities and agenda. He didn't have the authority, or the investment to fulfil any of its requests. Except for coffee. He could fetch it coffee, if he saw fit. His eyes swept over the monitors, taking in the countless numbers and classifications that rolled across the screens. A powerful psion, and probably a deity of some sort. You wouldn't know by looking at it.

He put his finger on the microphone again and asked;

"Can you tell me your name?"

Tone tried to stand up, straining against his bindings. The heaters lit up, boiling the air inside the room, but ice still built up on his body and the cuffs. He was going to shatter them, and remind this stuck up prick that he was dealing with a monster. A god damn eater of worlds, which everyone still seemed to be dismissing. They were treating it like... a person!

The chains snapped with a loud crack, throwing frozen shrapnel in all directions. Valerian rose to his full height and overwhelmed the room's heaters, a ring of ice spreading around him.

"What a joke. Listen here, alright? You don't have time to be asking me questions. Send a team and kill that conceptual bitch. Better yet, lock Ava in this room with me. Every second you spend preening your intellectual feathers is a second that it's out there, gathering food and learning. This world is doomed if you don't do something right, now."

Scry flipped the mic off again and held down a different, rather more intimidating button on the terminal.

"Subject isn't responding to questioning. I've reached the 10 minute mark and it's still not talking."

It took a moment for HQ to respond. A gravelly, scrambled voice came on the line, distorted beyond recognition. Obviously, someone too important for him to know.

"Understood. Dispatching specialised interrogator."

It was a while before Tone met his next interviewer. He didn't seem like the type, carrying a plate of scones and a clipboard. In fact, the man who addressed him was a lot more amicable than he'd been expecting. He rubbed his temples and sat back down, trying not to flip out again as the man set down his tray and steepled his fingers, looking right at Victor.

"So. Valerian, is it?"
"Yeah."
"Devana."

Tone stiffened. He'd told them his name earlier, but surely this man hadn't heard? His last name was something he rarely introduced himself by.

"How did you know that?"

The man smiled. "We can't reveal all of our tricks now Valerian." Victor said. The same psionic screenings done to Valerian also had an esper present encase anything happen and they can use their powers to prevent the machines from breaking should his readings be too much for them to handle. During the screening the esper manage to briefly enter Valerian's mind and dug out his last name. The esper also ran out to vomit as they saw some of the gruesome memories that the hunter had on his quest to kill Avarice.

This inscrutable enigma reeked of deceit. Valerian could see the strings he had extending from the top of his head, a billion bristling lies. One lie in particular stuck out like an obelisk, stretching upward until it went through the roof, twenty metres above him. What kind of secret could this man be holding, that it outweighed the lies that most people told throughout their entire lives?

He poked at a scone, watching it tremble. Nothing about it seemed odd and so with careful grace he picked one up and nibbled at the edge, being careful to avoid the raisins implanted in their surface.

"Well then I should warn you that I have some tricks of my own. Like, for example, that I can tell that you've been crushed by the responsibility of your job. What's weighing on your mind? What's the one lie you've told that shook the earth?"

The man didn't even so much as flinch. He simply picked up a cup of tea and silently slurped a droplet off the top. A perfectly calculated response.

"If I told you, it would hardly be a secret, now would it?"

Valerian leaned back in his chair and stuck his feet under the table, tilting it slightly. If he leant any further he'd pour a pile of fresh pastries on the man. The horror!

"So you know what a secret is! Well, let me tell you what's not a secret; that Avarice is just about the last thing you want running around in this world, free to pursue its plans to destroy all of reality. So why don't you stop wasting our time and get on with killing it?"

The man smiled for the first time since entering the room. He opened his eyes a little wider and smirked.

"And there it is. Cypher-Five, restrain the subject."

The roof peeled away, revealing a series of packed hydraulic arms. Dozens of them immediately snapped downward, grabbing Valerian's limbs and pressing them tight. Others crouched like prowling snakes, preparing to strike at any moment. Needles, scalpels, arms and guns arrayed themselves in one great circle above him as the room came alive with the sound of groaning metal and whirring machinery.

He stepped up to Victor as he was lifted into the air, paralysed by the red gaze of the man. He knew that expression. Avarice's incapacitating gaze. He paced around the room, not bothering to look up as his captive was injected with a cocktail of solutions and fluids, between each spinal vertebra and in each major vein.

"Victor Victor Victor! You shouldn't have been so uncooperative! We knew all about you. The Sword of Deskilo, The Hero of Aspharko, The Hunter of the Devourer. You and your friend have made some mighty contributions to multiversal history. You must feel pretty important, right? Wrong. Let me tell you something. Our job is to contain and kill the likes of you, so if you have anything in that skull of yours, you’ll realise you’re most likely to survive if you cooperate."

He leaned in at the last remark, his eyes somehow seemingly right up against Valerian's face, despite him being several metres beneath him.

"There are chemicals running through your body at this very moment. Chemicals that tend to make you, uhh... very suggestible. Trust me, we know what we're doing; if you're going to sacrifice four hundred test subjects for the development of a truth serum, it'd better god damn work."

Valerian was slammed into the ground as the arms pinned him to the floor. The man kneeled in front of him and picked up his face, forcing him to look into his eyes again. Those intoxicating, terrifying red orbs.

"Now Hero of Aspharko. Why you felt the need to try to cause another fight after me people just settled a particularly gruelling one that took the lives of some good agents and threaten the lives of some natives in this world. Need I remind you that both of us are foreigners and right now only a few natives know of us being here but if those few return and tell the others that we are a threat things will become more complicated for us." The man said. "Are you truly hunting this creature for justice for eaten by her or are you doing it go sate your thrist for revenge? Because from what I've heard the latter seems to be the most likely one. The brutality you displayed, the emotional outburst, and the lack of thinking on your part is making this a strong case for you wanting revenge. Tell me, how far are you willing to go to get the vengeance you so desperately crave for?"

His mouth seemed to move of its own accord. He strained to stop, to resist, but his mind was held back by endless clouds of fog. All he could do was listen to his body's speech.

Valerian, stripped of all his barriers, said what he truly believed.

"I will do whatever it takes. Avarice is a monster. In just fifty days it has destroyed twenty one thousand, five hundred and seventy nine universes. It must be destroyed immediately. If it is not then all lives are forfeit."

The man frowned.

"Is that so? Not quite the truth, but I don't blame you for believing you're truly only out there to do good. Losing your family still isn’t an excuse for delusion though. Now; what is it and how do we get rid of it?"
"Avarice is a concept. What you see, what it does in this universe is only a single limb of countless others. If we can destroy this one, we remove its access to our reality. But the threat of it eventually breaking through will still remain."
"So it's impossible to kill?"
"But not to trap. I have the body of Echo within me, a dying universe. It is the perfect vessel to hold Avarice. If I can pull it through the hole in reality which its physical body manifests as I can force it into Echo's shell."
"And then it'll be trapped forever."
"Correct."

The machines let go of Valerian's head, letting it slam into the floor. The man stood over him once again and pulled out his clipboard, jotting down a few notes.

"Mind telling me where you're from?"
“My home is irrelevant. It has been so long that I have forgotten what it looked like. Imagine a sundered, empty dark. That is my home. That is the fate of all things, and the state of ten thousand worlds already."

The man pulled a slip of paper out of his coat pocket, glancing at the image of an emaciated, slumped over woman. Papery and guilty.

"It doesn't seem like much of a threat."
"Your eyes are mistaken. You have not seen what Avarice can become."
"Your memories of Avarice are very different from what we've seen. Has it changed?"
"Yes. It has learned to hide itself within a blanket of humanity. But the core remains the same. It devours. It kills. It empties."

The man stooped next to him again, biting into a scone and dropping crumbs on the ground in front of him. Valerian struggled inside the prison of his own body. What kind of eyes did this man have? That feeling that washed over him, that primal desire to simply give in. It was what he felt when he'd first met Avarice. It was the existential realisation that one was nothing more than prey. How had he earned those eyes? Why did his interrogator have Avarice's stare?

"Is it possible that something could have changed her? Could some outside element or force altered the meaning of what she was suppose to represent or possibly that this avatar might be severing it's ties from the concept it was made from? Ludicrous ideas I know, but throughout the years I have been alive I have seen many things that most would say is impossible or ridiculous."
"It is an infovore. It consumes and repurposes. It alters itself to be a more effective predator and a more effective hunter. What better way than to blend in with its prey? It has the emotional aura of humanity now, having learnt to manipulate other concepts to its own ends; yet it still reeks of blood and void. It is an automaton. Nothing more and nothing less."
"Will it change further? Does it present a threat to other fundamental aspects of reality, like the laws of physics or the concept of happiness?"
“Yes. It can destroy but it chooses to learn instead. It incorporates others into itself to make itself stronger. One day it may subsume the very idea of existence, and then all of creation will be part of it. That would be the singularity. The concentration of all things and all nothings into an infinitesimal point. That day draws nearer and nearer as it learns."

The man frowned at the news. "That truly is a problem. How long do you think we have until she becomes a singularity? Tell me every ability and weakness she has." The man ask, thinking on how AEGIS could defeat Avarice if she truly becomes a threat to be terminated for the safety of humanity.

"Avarice is a hole. It is not a presence but an absence. It is a screaming pattern of nothingness. It is a black hole, dressed in a fleshy tarpaulin. It can consume anything, turn it into power. It uses the heat and light it eats to power its attacks, making it unmatched in strength. It uses the matter it ingests to regenerate, repurposing its prey to repair its body. It uses the concepts it devours to reinforce its own existence, exacerbating its effect on reality. It can be delayed by hurting it but never truly stopped. If it were to begin its ascension right now it may only take two years from its perspective. For every universe it consumes it gains the ability to consume two more. We must stop it while it is still vulnerable."

The man calmly repeated: "But how do we kill it?"

"Burn it. Contain it. Stop it from eating anything. Do not let it breathe air, do not let it learn. Information is energy too. It consumes data, not just physical matter."
"So we can starve it?"
"You’d only slow down its advance. The only way for you to truly eliminate it is to isolate it from the rest of the world, leave it adrift forever. I have Echo. I can trap it."

The man did not say anything for a few moments, thinking over the information he'd learned. He looked up at the roof and stood.

"Cypher-5, Disengage."

Valerian felt the pressure on his limbs disappearing as the mechanical giants ascended back into the roof, a sliding plate of metal enveloping them once again. They folded into themselves, compressing their hydraulic mechanisms into a space far smaller than what should've been possible. He hated this. Being powerless, forced to let someone else take the burden. He had to do this. Only he could do this.

He realised he could move his body again. He took a moment to glare at the man, who was scrutinizing him with a quiet, unreadable gaze.

"Come on. Follow me."

Victor stood up unsteadily, considering blowing away this impertinent, abominable man for just a second; but he was still inside this chamber, and those machined arms were still in the roof. He couldn't afford to antagonise potentially the only people taking the threat of the singularity seriously. As frustrating as it was, he'd have to work with them; though he had to admit, having them on his side felt rather reassuring.

"Fine."

As the man walked to the door he placed his hand on a screen and it began to scan his fingerprints and eyes. "EIDA, open the door please." He said. The computers were done scanning they would find that the information matched with what was filed in its database and as the mechanical locks began to move an electronic feminine voice would come from the computerized lock. "Affirmative..." the voice began to distort before it can say the man's voice. "The AI is busted again." The man shrugged. "No matter, she was going to be replaced anyway. The old girl is beginning to show her age and we can't have an old program become a future security risk." The man said as the door open, revealing a white and gray narrow hallway.

Tone put a hand on the man's shoulder before they stepped out, icy cold fingers digging into his skin. Yet, they could not match the sheer presence this man’s irises exuded, like tiny freezing stars against a backdrop of white.

"Stop. Your eyes. They look like Avarice's. Why are they like that?"

He smiled.

"It wouldn't be much of a secret if I told you, now would it?"

The man grabbed Tone's hand and pulled it off his shoulder. "Now please follow me Victor. We aren't quite done yet." The man would lead him through the hallway. As they walk through the narrow hallway that hear the door behind them closing and they would see another door getting close. The door would slide open and they would enter a white room with a large table with chairs around it and cabinets around them and a large flat screen on the wall. "I can tell you are curious on knowing who we are?" The man said as he allowed Tone to enter the room.

"Yes. You seem pretty high-tech compared to the rest of this universe. Your auras look very different from the natives. Some kind of international organisation dedicated to science, right? Then again, you're pretty militaristic for a study operation."

The man chuckled. "You are right to some extent. Our reach is international and we are not native to this world. We are a scientific organization but we also have to be militaristic because of what we study and because of our rivals. But thankfully it seems the wildlife here is going to be the only hazard for us.. hopefully. "

The man said as Ava enter his mind. He walked to the screen and turn it on. The screen would show a round shield with a series of triangles within each other with an eyeball in the center.

"We are known as AEGIS. Our mission is protect humanity from our world from extraterrestrial, extradimensional and extrauniversal threats. Anything that jeopardizes humanity's safety, sanity, and sovereignty we either captured or contain it or we destroy it. We also study these same threats not only to better understand them to learn new methods on how to combat against them but to also exploit them for the betterment of mankind." The man exaplined. The screen began to show Tone some images of his home world, mainly the planet, nations, and the inhabitants that AEGIS was protecting. It also showed a few of the threats they have contained or destroyed.

Tone's eyes swept over AEGIS' impressive catalogue. They had some things in there that he'd only heard of in legends. Yes. This organisation was powerful, far greater than he'd thought. They would be excellent adversaries for Avarice, and even better allies for him. He smiled broadly and almost shook the man's hand, before remembering the ordeal he'd been put through. It seemed AEGIS, for all its talk of keeping the world safe, employed just as unsavoury characters in order to achieve that end.

"So you'll be familiar with world ending threats and entities like Avarice, correct? Well then, if that's the case, I'm with you. Oh- stop there; is that a picture of the Sesterilian Crawler? I met it a few years ago in a universe which Avarice had only partially consumed. I'm impressed that you managed to catch it. Your organisation seems like just the right kind to deal with the threat that my target represents."

"Yes we are all to sadly familiar with those kinds of threat, some think we have faced their type a little too often for our comfort. But our world seems to be a magnet to both anomalies and the beings most call gods, so these threats will come to us because of them." When Tone expressed recognition on one of the threats shown he looked at the man curiously. "So that is the name. We simply call it Enity-962 sense we had no idea what it was. Yes hostile concepts and infovorse aren't new to us but we still need to carefully plan out our attack as her kind are not easy threats to deal with."

The man looked at the screen as more images of things contained by AEGIS emerge. "Do you see anything else you recognize? Our researchers would love to see some of our finds get an update." The man explained. "As for Avarice what sort of weapons and equipment will we need for her?"

Tone smiled. Now they were getting somewhere.

"Well I think we can arrange a trade of favours. I tell you about the monsters you have locked up and you show me what tools you have at your disposal."

“That sounds fair. Allow me to introduce you to our collection. Agent September, get in here!”

The man nodded at him and turned to the door, gesturing for someone to enter. A young woman dressed in tactical gear stepped through the threshold, shimmering slightly as she did so. Her entire body, sans the face, which had previously been covered by a visor was partially transparent. She'd obviously just deactivated some kind of cloaking equipment. An effective insurance policy, Valerian supposed. How long had she been following them? Perhaps she'd been in the room since his interrogation. He tilted his head at her, who in turn responded by tossing a cheap plastic badge at him.

"Pin that on. The turrets won't disintegrate ya if you're wearing one of those."

He put it around his neck and she bade him follow her. The man with the red eyes followed behind, tapping away at a phone in his hand. Strange man. Perhaps he was Tone's assigned keeper? It wouldn't surprise him if AEGIS were still keeping an eye on him. He made his way through the camp, looking at monsters and plants being carted around for study, and endless rows of soldiers and surveyors prowling the terrain like spiders. Mechs and exosuit-wearing troopers ran about, wielding weapons the size of men like toothpicks. This place was a technological marvel, now that he was on the other side of the window. Disciplined and perfectly honed, a hive of efficiency. He was led underground and the group stopped in front of a large vault door surrounded by cameras and indents in the walls. He could see wisps of ethereal smoke leaking from the roof. The airs of observation.

"Agent September, accompanying the former Detainee-4123, now designated Guest-59. Overseen by Field Specialist 515, 'Phobos'. Please present Armoury 15-N."

A static-filled voice emanated from the door, echoing in the confined corridor they found themselves in.

"Authorisation accepted. Unlocking Armoury 15-N, 'Esoteric Small Arms', Gen +2"

The little iron hatch turned and slid open, bursts of steam filling the subterranean corridor. A haze lingered in the air as the smell of ammonia and ozone overwhelmed Valerian's nose. Yet, through the visual din he could see a room coming into view. September strode forward confidently, straightening out her back as if she were about to deliver a presentation; which was, rather coincidentally, her job.

"Welcome to Armour 15-N, of the Universe Sigma-5915-Q F.O.B. Arsenal. Now that we've got the formalities out of the way, why don't you look around? Like what you see?"

Valerian liked what he saw. The walls were sterile white, lined with blue LEDs illuminating arrays of both familiar and unknown weapons. Particle cannons, blades, conceptual extraction equipment and thousands of syringes filled with the deadliest and most malignant substances known to anyone in the universe. All-consuming nanobots, blood-freezing pathogens and more. Oh glory oh god, he was in Heaven. Phobos stepped up beside him and began inspecting the room, lingering on a few moments of a couple of particularly nasty looking blades.

"So what are your first impressions?"

Tone looked over his shoulder at the red eyed man and grinned.

"I think this is going to be a very productive partnership."

L-Fel | Cassia

Cassia actually partook in consuming breakfast, spending the entire meal sipping on a cup of water to fit in with the humans and the... floating cetaceans? This "Aestus" was something of a stranger to him. She looked up at the suit of armour, smirking.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Aestus. High Revolutionary, eh? Seems like you're a bit of a trailblazer. I think that's a pretty good thing for people to be."

She approached Julian immediately following the meal and started to help clean up the dishes, converting her fingertips into spongy membranes lined with organic soaps and coagulants. Being the perfect shapeshifter she was, it was hardly even a task for her; more like something for her body to do while she talked.

"Hey there, Jules. Hope you don't mind me helping out with the chores?"

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Marcus could only walk alongside Madi as she went along, avoiding anything that came their way. Bullets, spells, knives and shoes? The entire school was in utter chaos. He felt kind of fucked up, not trying to help these children get out of such a bad situation, but he knew absolutely nothing of their situation. Watching his companion take the suddenly very quiet and self conscious Umbridge was a surprise to be sure, and the sudden appearance of a giant spider was even more surprising. Madi dispatched it with relative ease though, to the collective relief of all three people in the room.

"Alright. I think only you and me got caught, so if we're going to be finding the rest of the group, we'll need to figure out where they'd be; but the entire castle is in chaos right now. I can turn us intangible and let us walk through the walls but I need to know where we're heading first."

Polly meanwhile walked with the soldier, approaching the dark skinned man. His eyes darted from machined items to metalworks, inspecting some kind of advanced war machine. Impressive stuff back home, but perhaps not quite where this guy came from. She'd come to recognise a few telltale technological patterns over the years; if a universe runs on only the four most common "basic" physical laws then they'll tend to follow very strict, linear lines of progression. This was definitely not one of those universes. She felt kind of bad, forgetting that Miria was near her. The girl was beat up and quite obviously delirious. She only hoped she hadn't accidentally given her a brain hemorrhage.

"Miria, I gotta apologise for nearly ripping the blood out of you back there. I'm going to look for help, see if there's anybody who can help us retrieve Madi and Marcus."

Back to the matter of AEGIS though, a majority of their technology was utterly inscrutable to her and what remained seemed almost disastrously designed. Wherever they came from, it was obviously not a sane or safe place to be.

"I'm an explorer. I survey worlds and slate them for harvesting, colonisation or diplomatic missions. Right now, you're talking to an official international representative. I already know you've got personnel in that castle over there and I need to ask a favour. If you can help extract my compatriots I'll lend you my expertise and the data I've collected on the local universal cluster. I'd imagine it's a fair trade."

She pulled out an image of Madi and Marcus, offering it to the man.

"So do we have an agreement?"

The Third Wizarding War

The general took the image from Polly's hands and looked at the two people. "You said you know some of my people at the castle?" The man said, his voice deep and baritone. "Either those idiots are messing around or something went horribly wrong in the mission and considering your asking us for help I can already guess which one just occured." The man rubbed his temple at the fact the team sent to the castle messed up on their mission. "I will forward this to command and I will get someone to help your friend before she passes out." The general told the woman.

"No need to call them sir they already know what is going on." Polly and the general would see a drone suddenly appear before them. Microspeakers projecting out a masculine voice. "They approve of sending in back up to back our team and this woman's companions once the necessary upgrades are complete." The general nodded. "Thank you Roland." The drone turn to Miria. "As for you just stay here and wait for the doctors to arrive to treat your wounds." No sooner did the AI said those words that the doctors arrive to heal Miria.

The general turn his attention back to Polly. "Before I send my people to the castle tell me what on Earth is going on over there?" The general had no intention on sending his people out blind if there was trouble in the castle. He was glad that radio contact was possible for those close to the castle but the team inside have been silent for quite a while and in truth he was going to order team to investigate the inside of the castle to find the missing team if they didn't call after a chosen hour had pass, regardless of Polly's arrival or not. At least with Polly here he knows something happened to the team, the question is what exactly happened to them in the castle and are they still alive?

The Third Wizarding War
Miria

Miria nodded slowly, acknowledging her companion's apology, although she still felt a little annoyed over Polly's attack. She had spent their time in the AEGIS camp, oddly mellow compared to how hysterical she had been since her arrival among the group, and quiet as a mouse while Polly and the General spoke. She observed the technology around them as well, recognizing bits and pieces of it, but perplexed as to how it all worked, compared to what she was used to.

She continued to look around them while Polly had her conversation. She almost felt as if she was starting to wobble on her feet, even though she was standing quite still, though her ability to speak up about her little problem was seemingly lacking; she felt her chest tightening, and her throat catching, as she struggled to stifle her urge to cry, and it was only the fluttering butterflies in her stomach, and her growing trepidation towards being left alone by Polly, that forced her to speak up once more.

Miria tapped her fingers together, hands held close to her chest, as she spoke up softly, still outwardly subdued and sluggish. "I'm not going to be left alone, right?", She asked. She knew she had the AEGIS doctors to tend to her, but her concern at the moment was that she would be left without Polly, Madi, and Marcus - stranded, if even for a few minutes, while she was on the verge of a meltdown. She probably was scared that they'd somehow end up teleporting somewhere again, or that something would happen and leave her stuck in Hogwarts.

Outset Island
Dawn

Clarice Forester was sitting in a wooden chair on the front porch of the cabin she had her husband had raised their children in. However, a freak accident seven years ago nearly killed her with grief. Her husband wasn't so lucky. The old woman raised her gaze to the dawning sky, her gaze clouded over as she remembered....

Seven years ago

"You can't go sailing! There's a storm on the way!" yelled Clarice as she tried to keep up with her youngest son, Thomas. The man laughed.
"Don't worry mother, I'm the best sailor on Outset! Mabel and I will be fine."
Clarice took a deep breath and grabbed her son's arm.
"But if something happens to you and Mabel, what about your children!?"
Worry spread across Thomas' face as he raised his gaze to his house, his father was sitting on the porch, telling stories of his endeavors during his younger days to his young grandson, Link.
Thomas shook his head and hugged his mother.
"We'll be fine. I promise I'll be back before the sun rises tomorrow."
Thomas took his wife's hand and they began to walk towards the small boat in the distance. Clarice could only watch them go and she half turned towards the cottage. Her husband looked back at her with hidden worry and fear.
Clarice closed her eyes and wished that the feeling would go away.
But it never did. And never would.

Present

Clarice was taken from her thoughts when she heard a voice.
"Grandma?"
The voice was a bit hesitant.
The old woman found herself looking at her grandson.
"Are you alright? You seem...distant."
Clarice merely looked at him for a second.
It's now or never, Clarice.
"...I was...remembering....about the last time I saw your parents."
Her grandson's reaction was to be expected, after all, she hadn't told him of what had happened, but now she had to tell him.
"Sit down."
Link did so in a chair nearby and Clarice retold what she had just remembered, at the end, Link sat there for a few moments, thinking, then smiled at his grandmother.
"I could find them, bring them home."
Clarice gave him a sad smile.
"Link, they're both gone. I've already accepted that....I shouldn't have told you...."
The old woman seemed to retreat into herself; Link gave his grandmother a concerned look, then he got up, went back inside the cottage for a few moments, then came back outside with his gear and then walked off the porch and down the stone path a bit, then half turned and looked back.
"I will find them. Please don't tell Aryll that I'm gone."
Clarice got up from her chair and walked over to the wooden railing.
"Link."
She stopped for a moment, then continued.
"How will you know when you've found them?"
Link looked as if he didn't know how to answer for a second, then he grinned.
"I'll know. I'll be back before sunrise tomorrow!"
Then the Hero of Winds turned and ran down the stone path, across the sand and over to the dock.
Clarice watched him go and then heard wood creaking behind her, she turned and found herself looking up at Po.
"Uh....Do you know how to make noodle soup?"
Clarice smiled and a second later, the two began talking about food.

"Are you certain that you know where your parents might be?"
Link nodded and continued to set Red's sail up.
"You have been gone for two months, yet you say you have been gone for only three days? Fascinating. And the fact that you traveled to another world entirely...."
The King of Red Lions looked back towards the wooden cottage in the distance.
"You say companions traveled here with you?"
Link had finished setting up the sail by now and moved it back and forth a bit to test it, then looked back towards the cottage as well. Po was standing on the proch, talkinga bout something to his grandmother. At some point, she got up and led Po into the house, still taking about something.
"Yes...Although a few of them seem to have left..."
The small boat began to leave the dock as wind caught the sail and a second later, they were off.

"If you say I've been gone for two months, what has Ganon been up to?"
Red didn't know how to answer for once but eventually spoke.
"...I do not sense his presence. Not on the Great Sea, nor in Hyrule."
"What? That't can't be!"
"I am afraid so, Link. You say you left here via some sort of portal? I suppose it won't be too far as to say Ganon also came across one of these portals and left here for another world entirely."
It was quiet for a bit, save for the waves crashing against the small boat as the wind pushed it across the Great Sea, then Link spoke.
"We...I have to find him. Somehow...If he's left here, then there's no way of telling what he'll do elsewhere."
A small island had appeared on the horizon, a few moments later and Red smiled softly.
"We've arrived."
The boat continued to move closer and closer to the island and eventually it hit the sandbar and stopped.
There appeared to be two people in the distance, but they were too far away to tell who they were.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
Link shook his head and the boy leaped over the side of the boat, landed in the water and began to walk up the embankment, heading towards the two people in the distance. They spotted him when he was around ten feet away and he could have sworn he had heard one of them say "Thomas", no doubt a name.
A moment later, the taller of the two figures became clear, and the look on the man's face was one of utter shock, then it turned to un-hide-able joy and a second later the man had ran over to him, dropped to one knee and the two had locked gazes.
"....It....It's you....."
Another voice rang out nearby.
"Thomas! Where are you?"

Thomas held his son's gaze for a moment, then half turned to greet his wife as she came running towards them. She stopped and simply stared for a moment, then raised her hands to her mouth in shock.
"Is.....Is that....."
Thomas slowly got up, walked over to his wife, and hugged her.
"Yes. he has the scar, it's faint, but it's there."
"I have a scar?"
Thomas and Mabel walked back over to Link and Mabel gazed down at her son.
"Link...."
She smiled.
"You look just like your father."
"...I get that a lot..."
Mabel grinned and looked over her shoulder at Thomas, who shrugged.
"It's true. And you know it, Thomas."
Mabel turned back to Link but then noticed something behind him.
"What is that?"
Link turned around and saw that a portal had appeared nearly directly in front of him.
"...I have to go after him...."
"What was that?"
Link turned to face his parents.
"I know I just found you, but I have to leave."
"You have to leave? But....We just met..."
"I know. But I have to go now, I have to face my destiny as a hero. My boat will take you back to Outset."
And with that, the Hero of Winds said goodbye to his new found parents, waved to Red, who nodded back at him and he ran towards the portal, which shimmered out of existence as soon as Link entered it.
Where he would end up was anyone's guess.

Madi
Hogwarts

Madi stared at Marcus.
"You can walk through walls? Why didn't you tell me that sooner? Yeah, do it. Uh.....the Great Hall do you know where that is? It's directly below us, two floors."
She heard cracks throughout the castle and mad smiled, despite the situation.
"....And here come the Aurors."

Douglas
Misty Peaks

Doug watched the Reavers take Tone away and looked back to Gesh, then dropped to one knee besides the Master Cycle and began trying to get a radio signal of some sort. After trying for a few minutes, he got back up. After a beat he looked towards Gesh again.
"So, any more questions?"

The horseman knew that if he didnt get out of the creature's grasp then something bad would happen to him. Luckily though, he had a technique that allowed him to teleport to places. Opening up a portal behind his back on the floor, he phased through it, and another portal opened up above the creature after the portal on the floor closed, War came out of it with his brother Strife's gun, Mercy being fired non stop, as its clip was made to never run out of bullets. When he got close enough he sheathed chaos eater and took out what looked like a blow horn. The red rider breathed in and blew the horn, making it sound, its powerful enough to shake awake giants sleeping in mountains, and anything else would be blown back. As he sounded the horn Hogwarts castle would shake as if it was in the middle of a weak earthquake.

Secret of the Ravens

Zelena carried on expressionlessly. Her steely blue eyes giving away nothing as she took in the varying degrees of sadism within the various rooms that their “guide” took them through. This realm had a way with indulging itself in the pleasures of life in such a manner that she, in any other circumstance, would turn her nose at, but even as the pungent fragrance of death filled her nostrils in certain areas, later on, replaced with enervating fumes of sexual activities, she powered through in her stoicism.

With the doors opening into what she presumed to be their destination the wicked witch spared one final glance at the paintings, wondering who they were and their role in all this mess before her mind carried her back to the present and she found herself in a more intimate setting.

Jackie, another one of this woman’s acquaintances, seemed hostile enough that the witch contemplated using her magic to subdue her for the sake of a moment of normalcy. However, when the ruse of it came to light Zelena relaxed a bit, taking a moment to glance around as she paced through the room.

“Someone mind explaining what the hell is going on?” Zelena asked when she found an appropriate wall to lean against. Or what kind of degenerates the witches of this realm were, relying on some higher power to use magic seemed so restraining.

Secrets of the Raven
Branhwrn, Club Midnight

As Jacquelyn burned the tablecloth Elizabeth knew something was wrong; before she can get up Jackie was right at her face, giving the witch a demented look. While her eyes were sparkling with incidence lights the occultist only saw a black void behind them. While her blood chilled in fear for her life Elizabeth felt heat coming from Jackie trying to slowly cook the witch. The witch slowly began to move her hand to her purse, to reach for the one line of defense she has against Jackie now that she had succumb to the madness of the elder gods and have become either a raving madwoman or worse a cultist.

As Jackie thrust her hand forward at Elizabeth the witch made a desperate grab for her knife and just as the firecrackers went off the witch had taken out her knife, giving the firestarter a look of amazement and confusion as she flicked her nose. The ebony curved and serrated blade fell out of Elizabeth's grasp and plunge blade first into the floor were its hilt prevent it from taking the rest of it through the floor. Zelena would feel the immense dark power contained by the ancient blade while those who looked down to see it would get a terrible feeling coming from the blade.

Yet the blade was not Elizabeth's concern as anger soon came to her. "What the hell is wrong with you!" She screamed out as Jackie admits to have played a joke on her and was indeed fine... well the closest thing to being fine with her. "Don't you make a joke like that ever again Jacquelyn. Bloody hell woman. You nearly gave me a heart attack." The woman shouted as she lean back on her chair, letting out a loud sigh as she rubbed her face.

When Jackie asked if she went through the guided tour the witch snorted. "Yeah, went through the stripclub of madness. You see the pit of boners and the crystal birds? I saw those along with zombie workers and a demon grandfather clock." She let a frown form on her face. "I didn't like seeing so many cults that I've dealt in past cases being under the same roof though. I'm glad most were too busy to notice me because if they did we won't be having this chat right now."

As Jackie asked what is their plan Elizabeth reached for a cup and took a sip of the black tea. Putting it down she open the lid of the container of sugar, the item made of high quality Venetian glassware, and took out two cubes of sugar and put it into the tea. "Don't worry firecracker, I got this under control. I met with an old acquaintances of mines and after arranging a deal got them to agree to help us should this meeting be a complete bust. Now let's just hope they can go through the layers of defenses the Fates have. I have confidence in their work but I'm not going to lie the work they put on the wards is insane. Reminds me of the defenses of another group who I unfortunately know."

The chaos mage explained as she stir the tea to break down the sugar cube. Once it was gone and merged with the tea Elizabeth began to drink it, hearing Zelena asking what is going on. As the witch nursed from the glass cup she pulled it away. "You my dear are currently far away from home due to the manifestation in the tear on the fabric of spacetime taking you from your native world in whatever brane it is associated with to mines. As for the present location you are in Club Midnight, a wretched hive of scum and villainy located in a semi rural and urban town called Branhwrn which it is in Wales. This town is rather a rather pleasant place if you can ignore the fact that trolley and bus drivers constantly argue with each other, the old folks and new folks argue over the town's future, the many dark legends surrounding this town, and the strings of disappearances and killings being done by a cult." The witch explained before finishing off her tea, speaking in a posh tone as she changed her accent to sound like the English accent most people know, though it still had a tinge of her Welsh accent.

Elizabeth put down the cup on the table and as she turn her attention back to Zelena she dropped the accent to speak in her old one. "So I was called in to try and find them before the public can figure out what is truly going on, sadly that part of the deal isn't going to work but I can still catch the preps and stop them from killing anymore people. Sense you are stuck here with me how about we arrange a deal? I can see if I can find a way to return you back home and exchange you help me with this case? A fair deal of you ask me especially since you are stuck in a world that as you clearly have seen is most likely radically different from your own." Ashwood gave Zelena a grin as she claps her hands together under her chin . "Do we have a deal Zelena?" She asked as she tilt her head slightly to the right.

The Third Wizarding War
Hogwarts

The teams outside of Hogwarts saw trails of black smoke surrounding the castle. The team having a terrible sense of what the smokes could mean began to run away from the castle just as some of the smoke began to go into the castle and others land down on the ground. The teams would hear people shouting as they fled but soon they were all encounter the Aurors as they all order them to freeze as they point wands on them.

Back in the camp the same trails of smoke would down and the Aurors would take out their wands as they saw what was going out, being met with guns being aimed at them. "What is going on in here? Are you the muggles we heard about of so how did you manage to find this place?" The Auror in charge of the team demanded. The general looked at the wizard. "The same way these young women found her way here." The man reply back as he referred to Polly and Miria. "Now put the stick down gentlemen. Despite how it looks we are not your enemy." One Auror snorted. "Really? I heard there was an attack on the school and looking at what you all have gives us a reason to believe you muggle?" The auror saw the doctors working on Miria and turned his wand on them.

"What are you doing to that woman!" He shouted, making the doctors back away from Miria as they explained who they are. "Put that stuff down and raise your hands up now!" He ordered, making the doctors protest as they explain they are not done treating their patient. "I don't care what your doing you will do as I say or I'll..." the mad auror was stopped by his superior who grabbed his wand. "Calm down. Getting worked up over a bunch of muggle doctors isn't going to help us." The leader ordered another Auror to treat Miria with magic potions. "Why yes homeopathy, why treat someone with well tested treatments and medications when we can use that and hope it works." One soldier mocked as the Auror gave Miria the potion. The Auror who threaten the doctors turn to the soldier. "You keep your mouth shut muggle! Anything you say will be used against you in a court of law."

The lead Auror sighed as he spoke his head. "Just tell these people to put down those machines and we will put down our wands." He explained. The general just gaze the man as he had his hands clasped behind his back. "We might do that if we do it at the same time. I rather not have people like your friend still have their wand out to open fire on us while we are unarmed." The lead auror agreed. The two parties were hesitant to follow through the deal but as both leaders announced to lower down their arms both sides slowly put away their weapons.

"Now that we know you can corporate tell us what is going on." The general shuffled and told him what Polly explained to him. "We got reports of a monster attacking students. That it shots out black slime that either burns or sticks to its victim." The Auror looked at the general's face to see a reaction but found the man's face was unmoving as a stone. "We also heard of a group of muggles that match you people being spotted in the castle chasing the creature." The auror explained. The man gave the general a stern look. "Your people may not be our enemy but you are connected to this thing so you are going to tell us everything about this creature." The general stood in silence before turning around. "You want answers than follow me." The man looked behind to see Polly and Miria. "You two are invited as well." He said as he began to walk to a tent.

The lead Auror followed him and once he and the two women followed inside the tent they would see a metal table with files on it. The envelope had a gray omega sticker on it and a series of triangles within a round shield with an eye within the triangles. The Auror walked to the table and open the files to look at the content, the first being a containment document. "We call it Entity-836, or the shadow puppet as some call." The general said as the Auror looked at the files. "We found it stalking wildlife and villagers in Romania. We were called in because law enforcements finally found the bodies that it left behind." The auror would see photos of old buildings and mutilated bodies covered in the black slime. "We followed the trail it made to an old windmill. On the site we found evidence suggesting that a summoning ritual took place and that what was summoned what the entity now trapped in that castle." The Auror asked why anyone would want this entity around.

"We suspect that the individual or individuals, we never figured out who summoned it, might have intended to bind the creature to their will has the body it now has is one they craft to contain it. But as you can see they failed to contain it and the creature killed them." He found old parchment mixed with the files written in Latin showing strange symbols he never saw before. "The remains of the grimoire was helpful on making a drug to suppress the powers of the creature as containing it was a difficult affair. However the effects of the drug is temporary and if we don't administer it after a few hours the creature will regain its powers." The Auror would soon see pictures of the creature on question.

Back in the castle the creature known to AEGIS as Entity-638 was sent flying through the halls along with the mass of slime that was it's tendril. The creature made a rough landing on the ground as the sludge made a mess on the hall. The creature rose up and war would see that not only were the back legs resembled those of a grasshop in their shape but it's head was hollow as only it's face remains, the rest of the head being a slimey sphere somehow maintaining its shape. Yet he would see the broken pieces being pulled by streaks of black water as they head towards the creature, the cracks and cuts were being filled in by the water and harden to cover the cracks and make the armor stronger.

The creature let out a loud screech again as it slammed its hands on the floor. Making the sludge pools form more tentacles that went flying to War. As he dealt with the tentacles a pile of black sludge exploded from behind the creature like a geyser before turning into a black steam that flew to War. The smoke would descend upon him, obscuring his vision as the tendrils kept attacking him. Should he breath in the steam he would find that it would not only have a repulsive smell and taste but it would revert back into sludge to fill in his lungs, drowning him. The rest of the sludge would be moving in his body to begin the process in which Entity-638 could control War.

"No, it's ok, I can handle it. Thank you, though." Julian smiled at Cassia. However, she was still grateful for the psychopomp to chip in. Her sponge fingers were pretty useful. As she finished cleaning up breakfast, Julian headed upstairs and brought her suitcase down with her. She set it down by the door.

"Ok, the uber should come in a little bit. Anyone need to use the bathroom before going?"

Secrets of the Raven | Jacquelyn

"So basically, we're just waiting for your friends or the Fates to show up. Wonderful. I've always loved a good negotiation arc. It made The Prequels so much fun!"

Jacquelyn smirked at Liz and put her hands behind her head, whistling a weedy, unmelodic tune.

"Although I don't really see why you'd need to do someething so dramatic. Can't we solve anything without violence?"

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Marcus nodded at Madi and took her hand.

"Alright. Here goes nothing."

He turned intangible and took her with him. Their feet sank into the floor slightly as their clothing phased through the hard stone, before their entire bodies followed suit and began freefalling. As his head passed through the ground his vision went dark, flashing white again as he passed through into the floor just below the one they'd been in before. Gunfire was clearly audible down here, along with a whole lotta other very loud and very violent noises. He passed through another floor, appearing several dozen metres above the floor of the great hall. He regained his physicality alongside Madi and shot a cable from his palm, attaching itself to the top of a pillar and swinging them both in a wide arc along the jostling crowd below, depositing both near the entrance and knocking over a few unfortunate students who'd been standing there. He caught sight of a few aurors, clearly the ones in charge now.

"So what's next? Looks like the authorities have shown up. Do we head for the science guys or wait for the magic to take over?"

Polly meanwhile listened in on the general's conversation, being quite glad that he'd chosen to help them rather than predictably taking them prisoner, extracting information from the two and then shooting them in the back of the head. It happened far too often to be a mere coincidence. She sighed in relief and thanked the general, shaking his hand and palming a small disc between his fingers.

"That's the data I have on the last fifteen universes I've surveyed. If you want more, I'll have to see my friends safe and sound. As for what's going on over at the castle, I really don't know. An unknown humanoid known as "Umbridge", clearly in a position of power, approaching my companion - the girl in the picture, and immediately restrained and had her imprisoned. My other associate, Marcus, tried to stop this from occurring and got captured too. I shocked Umbridge and got out with Miria. Last thing I saw was the whole room descending into chaos. It isn't pretty."

Polly would've kept talking in her sterile, clinical voice but Miria's behaviour caught her off guard. The girl was perfectly still, fidgeting, quiet and anxious. She would've chalked it up to having the blood nearly ripped out of her but it seemed like a far more psychological problem. She legitimately felt responsible for her, just like she'd felt some kind of responsibility toward Marcus. God damnit, Polly. Why are you getting attached all of a sudden? She steadied Miria and talked slowly to her while the doctors worked.

"Look at me, Miria. You're going to be fine. You're in a bad way and I still have some things to sort out, so I'll be right here the whole time. We won't leave without you, alright? Just stay calm and let the good men do their stuff. It'll be over in a minute."

But then, to add vinegar to salt to insult to injury, a legion of aurors appeared from nowhere and began threatening the camp. She drew her pistol, ready to fire on the spot but the other soldiers seemed to have a grip of things, quickly defusing the situation. She reluctantly put her firearm away and looked back at Miria, wondering if she should stay here or follow the general. She decided rather quickly, understanding that some things were simply less urgent than others.

"Actually, I think I might stay with my friend here. I don't feel safe leaving her alone."

She looked at Bankhari, raising an eyebrow.

"Unless you're feeling well enough to walk?"

“Pleasure to meet you too, Cass,” Aestus said, looking down at the shapeshifter below him. He wasn’t sure what to think of Cass, really. Not that he had assumed the worst of them already, but he had a bit of a distrust for shapeshifters. After all, you can never really tell if they were hiding something. But for now, he wasn’t going to treat them with suspicion. Jules seemed to trust them, and that was good enough for the time being.

“A trailblazer? Yeah, I’ve blazed some trails you could say. I didn’t get the name “High Revolution” for sitting around, if I added a mark to my armor for every dead fat pig I’d have scratched my colors off!” He replied to their comment with a chuckle. Nothing ever lightens the mood like a good joke about killing thousands of people with questionable motivations. Except maybe for small animals being cute, Aestus supposed.

His small shark had fallen asleep, and along with some of his other critters, were all sleeping together in a large huddle on the couch. Despite being an epaulette shark, it somehow made cute noises while it slept, like a dog or a cat might.
Back at the house, as the uber got near, Aestus gently nudged his animals to get them to wake up. After some cute pouting, they started floating around him once more.
“I’ll be good. I won’t take the uber, whatever that is. I’ll just use my manta ray,” he said to Jules, looking around to try and find his companion. The ray appeared at his side, and he was ready to go.

Julian was feeling quite well, until Aestus joked about killing people, which made her blood run cold for a moment. Sure, she did dislike the rich corporate upper class, but she herself would not gloat if she killed them.

Aestus's mindset troubled her a bit, but he still seemed like a...decent person. Maybe she could make him change his mind.

The Third Wizarding War

The data that Polly gave was a gift the general was grateful for, with his everything is going with this mission this might be the only good development for a while. He walked to a computer and place the disc next to it to download the files on to it later. Outside the doctors still glared at the auror healers while the soldiers and more temperamental wizards and witches were on a stand off, mostly by the looks they give to each other than with their weapons. The air was thick with tension, it wouldn't take much to set off the powder keg that was the camp.

Inside the castle the team within was still going through the halls gunning down zombies and controlled victims to save students and staff from being infected. They were unaware of the Auror's arrival and in truth wouldn't care too much unless they threaten them. They still hoped for help to arrive but with the camp being occupied and the other teams being apprehended by the Aurors the chances of their comrades coming into assist them is low.

The Third Wizarding War

Miria wasn't quite sure how professional it was for medical professionals to be squabbling while a patient was right between them; she could understand that they were all concerned for her, and skeptical of the methods that the others would use, but the tension and antagonism between them made the holo-dramas and novels she saw back home look mild. It would have annoyed her to quite a great degree if she wasn't so delirious, or if she didn't have so much more on her mind.

While she let the medics patch her up and tend to her wounds - what little they could do between the bickering - she listened to what Polly had to say to the Human General; she understood most of the conversation, actually, although like everything else that was happening around them, it seemed too crazy and outlandish for her to really process it all on the spot. It was confusing and scary, and simply put, Miria didn't like it.

What she also didn't like was leaving it all to the AEGIS and Hogwarts folks. Well, okay, she didn't mind letting them do the heavy lifting, but she didn't like being in the dark, or missing anything. Even with as tired and shaken up as she was, once she felt that the pain in her side was dull enough, Miria hopped up, testing the water with a few steps to make sure that her body was all there. She was ready to go, it seemed, even if she didn't really want to; still, the faster they wrapped things up, the better, and despite her lingering pain, her spirits were lifted once more by Polly's reassurance, and she was feeling motivated to do her best to get everything settled. Besides, what she suffered was just a bruise, nothing compared to what others were apparently experiencing. She wouldn't feel like, sitting in a camp while her new compatriots went off to risk their lives.

Miria approached Polly, smiling - a genuine smile - and fixing her glasses. "I should be fine, if the doctors and magic men say so.", She said, looking back their way. She gave a respectful nod. "I appreciate the concern from all of you. If I may, I'd like to accompany my partner further."

Ammy noticed the woman hidden behind the strange metal object and walked over to her.
"Hello? Why are you hiding? I mean you no harm, I simply wish to know where I am."
She helped the woman up and smiled at her.
"My name is Amaterasu, my friend calls me Ammy for short, but he doesn't appear to have come here with me...Who are you?"

Madi
The Great Hall

The first thing Madi saw when Marcus 'teleported' was a gigantic black slimy thing. The second was a wounded woman lying against a nearby wall. The third thing made her stop short and simply stare.
"......That's War. Holy shit. "
She grabbed Marcus and the two quietly snuck over to the woman and Madi began to quickly heal her. She turned her head a bit to look at Marcus,
"If you have any sort of attack that can hit that black thing, start using it."
She turned back to the woman.
"That thing did this to you? Hmmmm....There. You should be good now, just don't over do it."
Madi then got back up, summoned her magic, and began to fire spells at the black thing that seemed to be devouring War.
She had no idea what she could do against this thing but she'd do what she could.

Daniel Harvebouch
AEGIS campsite

The 80 year old Auror looked at the creature on the paper and frowned.
"Can we kill this thing, and if so, how?"
meanwhile, Aurors were running around healing people while another group was looking over various pieces of AEGIS technology. A younger Auror came running into the tent and up to Daniel.
"Sir! We found some sort of portal, or gate, or something...Seemed to match their technology. I already sent some men through."
The man was grabbed by Harvebouch and the old Auror shook him.
"Are you mad?! These people might be the only ones who can kill this thing, and you may have just dammed us all!!!!!"
