The Forbidden Act
Misty Peak

As the monster let out it's final roar it came down, those who can see it's aura saw it became pale a d transparent, the aura corpses and ectomorphs and the one that covers inanimate objects. The agents began to put away their weapons as some sat down in the ground to relax or began to move around the site to ensure no more monsters attack them. The medics went to the injuries and began to attended to their wounds. Some began to apply medical foam and gel to their wounds, the former to stop internal bleeding and the latter to fo the same as the former but to get rid of bacteria on the wounds and to encourage cellular regeneration.

As the medics called in for larger medical robots one of the doctors saw Rex approach one of the soldiers who wasn't treated yet. "Well you can give some of us that stuff you used to make the elf pilot come back from the dead for some of our friends. Otherwise our doctors got this cover. But hey giving me a magic potion so it doesn't hurt to breath would be nice." The agent told him, a few agreeing to the offer as they didn't want to wait for their treatment. A agents approached the body and taking out their knives they began to cut into the monster' body to take pieces of ot's flesh to the researchers back in their camp site. However a few had other motives for taking pieces of the Deviljho, mainly to consume it.

The Third Wizarding War

As Madi and her group began to head for Hogwarts they were going in a equal pace with the AEGIS team. Yet Madison's team would reach Hogwarts first as the team stopped as the other robots began to malfunction and the group stayed for a while to try and fix them. When It became clear that the robots can't be fixed the team suspect the castle's aetheric energy was responsible. Yet they still went forward as to get back the drones.

When they arrived at the castle the team split up to cover more ground to find the downed drones. While most stayed outside of the castle a group decided to enter. One member carried a bag of enchanted powder that granted temporary invisibility and as they applied it to their team they enter through the doors. This strategy was used by other occultists to remain unseen in their search. As Madi began to ask for questions the team of unseen agents began to navigate through the school looking, both to find the drones and to explore the castle inside and figure out the reason for it's arcane properties.

Secrets of the Raven
A Jraden/Navel Monte Collaboration Post

"Well this has all been a wonderful evening, buuuuuuut you're all very drunk!" Said Simon, leading a bunch of drunk women outside. "Dangerously drunk, you're far too intoxicated beyond legal limits! Steve!" He said, pointing dramatically at Steve, who just said "Yeah?"

"You have been tasked, entrusted with keeping these lovely women-" he pointed at the completely smashed women that were Bambi and Candi "To safety! Don't force yourself on them, and don't crash your car and kill all of them!" He said, similing. "I have faith in you!"

Steve just sighed to himself, said "Thanks." And drove the car into the distance, leaving Simon behind.

"Well that was wonderful!" Said Simon. "Absolutely lovely! I am completely proud of myself." He stared at the night sky, then at the noisy club. "Hmm, I suppose Skylar and Hope won't mind if I decide to enjoy the fresh air and quiet for a few minutes..."

Meanwhile, Skylar said "Aww, thank you." As she smiles gladly accepted Remy's compliment.

Outside of the club and standing at the roof of the building across from the club the figure in the white cloak looked at the building. From it's eyes they saw glowing runes and sigils throughout the building, keeping beings like it out of the building. The wraith flew off the building and began to look around for any weak point to the arcane defenses.

While wraith was looking around in the back Simon and his group would have stepped out on the front to get his new friends out. When the wraith return to the front with disappointing results on how it can enter the wraith saw Simon. As it looked at Simon the wraith had an idea, a very risky idea. But one that might work. The wraith carefully flew down towards Simon encase he can see the ghost. Once they were sure he can't the wraith flee down and enter his body. Once inside the wraith began to match it's aura to his so they can blend in his body and enter the building.

"Ooh, Skylar, one of those nights, eh?" Simon said, smiling to himself as he let his guard down. "Still, we should absolutely fine Hope, we don't want her to be-"

He stopped talking as he felt something was horribly...off.

"You're not Skylar." Was the last thing he managed to say before his body was possessed.

Once the wraith had control of his body, it would immediately headr Simon's voice ask "Who are you?"

In the club Remy smiled. "I wonder how was your husband so lucky to have an angel like you for himself but to also have a daughter who is as beautiful as her mother" He said as he finished his drink.

"Oh please, I'm the lucky one." Skylar said to Remy. "Absolutely lovely, wonderful man. And what can I say? It's just good luck and genetics and all that." She shrugged. "I'm lucky to have him, he's lucky to have me, Hope's lucky to have us, we're lucky to have Hope, we're just lucky all around."

Remy smiled. "I know some people who will kill to have your luck. You two care for drinks? They are on me."

Skylar smiled widely, knowing she can't get drunk, and said "Absolutely!"

Especially because you're paying! She thought. Then again, Skylar (And Hope) hadn't actually paid for her drinks in... ever, really.

The wraith heard Simon and was somewhat surprised to hear his voice but it knew that for some people they can still be conscious on some levels even when possessed, some even still being entirely aware of their surroundings and what was happening. The wraith only said. "I need to borrow your body for a few minutes. I can't enter the building without it." They said, revealing that they have a feminine voice.

"It's very rude of you to go about entering people without their consent, you know." Simon chided, speaking out loud. During his times where he was possessed by Skylar, it seemed he had a split personality, becuhe would basically talk back and forth between himself. This time was no exception.

"At least give me a proper reason, you could have just asked nicely." Simon said. "What's blocking you from entering?" He asked. "I know another lovely wraith who went in just fine with no problems." He revealed. "Or maybe you just wanted a excuse to possess me?" He asked, smirking. "I should warn you, she won't like this one bit..."

The wraith sighed, or did her best attempt on sighing anyway due to her current state. "The building has wards made to keep any beings who are hostile towards the owners out and my relationship with the owners of the club isn't the best. Once more I'm not an ordinary wraith and the wards around the building work even more strongly against me." She explained.

When Simon warned her that the other wraith would not like seeing her inside of him the wraith replied with. "The blonde one that chased after me. I had a feeling she won't but this is really the only choice I have right now. I need to get inside the building."

"Well you still could have asked nicely, you know." Simon said. "Why are you trying to enter this club anyway? Super secret mission? And what do you mean you're not an ordinary wraith? Oh, and it's not that she doesn't like you, it's just that she uh, don't like the fact that you're in me." Simon explained. "Really, you should probably pull out of me right now and risk creating a long term mistake." He warned.

Remy ordered more drinks for himself and the two Kents. Once their drinks arrived he took his and began to drink it. "So how long have you knew your friend Ashwood? Is she single by any chance?"

"Not very long." Skylar shrugged. "About a week-ish, since we arrived in town. Is she a single? Almost certainly. She prides herself on being single and married to work and alcohol, you know how they are."

Remy nodded. "We get those types a lot in here." Remy felt his phone vibrating. "Excuse me for a moment." He took out his phone and began to look at the message. "Sorry ladies but I have to go right now, something came up." Remy said as he got up and left.

Skylar and Hope watched Remy walk away and shrugged. Skylar then slapped some alcohol out of Hope's hands. "That's bad for you!" She scolded, chugging down alcohol shots after another.

"You couldn't even see or hear me." The Wraith told Simon. "We are only talking because I'm inside you at the moment. As for why I need to go in I can't say, it's too personal for me." When Simon told her that Skylar won't like seeing her inside of Simon and asked what she meant by not being an ordinary wraith the ghost said. "Let's just say I wasn't your typical woman in life and I will leave your body once I can find a safe place to depart from it in the club. If we're lucky I can do this before she realizes what is going on."

"You are still entering me without permission." Simon scolded. "I'm sure this is all wonderful for you, but I only let one wraith possess me, and right now you are absolutely *violating me." He was very serious, and Alex could tell. After all, she was inside him, and could read his emotions. "It's very uncomfortable, and while I want to be nice to you...your disregard for my comfort and vagueness is troubling. And if I find it troubling, well... she's going to find it a lot worse."

The wraith was beginning to feel terrible about her action. "I'm sorry for not asking but I was feeling rushed sense I couldn't be sure there are guards outside or they have sensed my presence, nice time I will ask for permission. But right now I need to make sure someone in there is safe." The wraith told him. The link they have working both ways meant that Simon can feel her emotions and he can feel her distress about the situation and desperation on wanting to protect this person in the club. He can also feel another emotion tied to this person but he can't quite get a clear picture of that emotion yet.

The wraith began to make Simon walk back in the club "I promise I will leave your body once it is safe to do do but for now I need to sleep for a while." In Simon's mind a song began to play as he became drowsy, eventually falling asleep.

"Wait, no. I see them..." Simon drifted off...but really, he was fully "Awake." He was just staying quiet because this wraith was going to have to speak to Hope and Skylar, and was undoubtedly going to make a doll out of itself.

After making sure Hope didn't drink anything, once Skylar and Hope saw Simon, they ran up to him.

"Simon!"

"Dad!"

"Wonderful seeing you!" They both said. "We had this guy that looked like Gambit flirt with us! He bought mom drinks!"

"They weren't even spiked!"

"And he also hit on Elizabeth!" Said Skylar. "Well, he tried to. Did that whole "Is your friend Ashwood single?" She shifted her voice, doing a perfect impression of him. "Thing. Anyway, where were you? Outside right? Leading the others to safety?"

The Wraith was now nervous as she didn't see Simon with anyone else. "Yes honey, I made sure they got out safely. I came back because I felt lonely being away from you two." "He" said with a big smile as she hugged them both, the wraith trying to act like him. However the mention of Elizabeth made him twitch as the wraith seem to have problems with it.

As he pulled back Simon asked. "Do you by any chances know where he is right now? I want to talk with him." Simon tried to sound friendly but if Skylar and Hope are perspective enough they might have heard a slight edge in his voice.

The two (Unnaturally attractive) blonde women gave Simon a strange look...but then shrugged. Skylar however, was now staring into Simon with deep, supernatural sensing eyes. She was very serious. Unnaturally so. It clearly unnerved Hope.

"Not at all!" Said Hope. "Gambit had a phone call, so he left, but then we were reunited with you!"

When "Simon" attempted to hug them, Hope sweetly said "Aww, that's sweet of you!" As she hugged him back in a tight hug. "We were feeling lonely without you, to!"

"Yes, very sweet of you." Skylar said, smirking. "C'mon honey..." She smirked evily. Sultry. "Give me a hug."

The Wraith felt a foreboding sense of dread coming from Skylar. "I think maybe I shouldn't. I'm not feeling well and I don't want you to get what I have." Simon said as he moved back. "I need to go to the bathroom. I think I'm feeling vomit coming up."

Skylar's eyes looked incredibly agitated for a few seconds...before she smiled, sickeningly sweet.

"I don't get sick, remember?" Skylar said. She she was a wraith, after all.

"Dad, what do you mean you're getting sick?" Hope asked. "We never get sick!"

"She's right, Simon..." Skylar walked up to Simon, grabbing a hold of his chin and making him look at her. "The Simon I knew, the man I loved would never get so sick, never act so strangely..." She said, staring deep into "Simon's" eyes...she was searching for something.

"Simon" gulped as Skylar was starting to unravel his charade. "I don't know what is going on either. I think my drink might have had something in it or it might have been whatever stung me when I was outside. I just felt terrible the moment we got in here." "Simon" told them.

Thinking on what to do to get away from this the Wraith made Simon hug Skylar. "Let's just go home honey. I rather spend my time dancing with you alone." He then lean in close to her ears. "I rather keep the drunkard perverts away from touching you." He began to rub her back, giving her a message. "I rather have you all to myself."

"Go home, you say?" Skylar said, smirking, enjoying the feeling of her back being massaged. "Spent time alone? Well if you want me to go home and make you feel all better, you should have just asked..." Skylar said.

"Hey!" Hope said, snapping her fingers. "Super secret mission, remember!"

The Wraith was glad her plan worked but now it seems she was thrust into a new problem, how not to get laid inside this man's body? Hope however saved her. "Damn, forgot about our super secret mission. Maybe we should find Elizabeth and tell her if anything has happened?"

Simon turn his sight back to Skylar as he held her chin. "Looks like we have to wait dear." He said in a husky tone.

"Oh I don't think so..." Skylar smirked. "You just said that nothing is happening, that we should go home...screw Elizabeth really, not like anything important is happening..." She trailed her fingers over Simon's chest. "Let's say we get out of here, find somewhere private. Ooh, and let's invite Lizzie to."

The Wraith made Simon twitch at the mention of not only abanonding Elizabeth but inviting her into a threesome.

"I don't think she will be interested in joining us. But we shouldn't leave her alone honey, after all we are in this secret mission because we chose to work with her remember?" The Wraith could sense where Elizabeth was, she also felt the presence of Zelena and a demon. "Let's go see here to see if we can do anything to help her out with the mission."

"Let's do that, then!" Skylar declared suddenly, her sultry voice gone. "Mystery awaits!" She grabbed onto Simon's hand and began to drag him towards Elizabeth, with Hope enthusiastically following behind.

Simon let Skylar lead him on to where Elizabeth was. The wraith was worried for a while that Skylar was taking her somewhere else but sense Elizabeth's aura getting closer she knew she was close. When they arrived they saw Elizabeth holding on her neck as she was choking, only the Wraith can see the demon flying towards Zelena. " Elizabeth!" Simon shouted as he ran towards her. He was at her side as she struggled to breath. The wraith knew what was happening but knew it couldn't do anything without exposing herself. "Get help now!" He shouted at Skylar and Hope, alarmed and panicked on what was happening to the witch.

Simon grabbed on to Elizabeth and tried to grab her but soon his hand couldn't touch her because of the demon's powers. "Damn it." He cursed as he tried to touch her.

Julian stopped walking as they neared her home. She looked at Cassius.

"....Sorry, I don't want to talk about it now."

She felt bad about it. It did seem that Cassius really wanted to help her, and he was so curious about what happened to her. But now, she didn't really want to talk. Or rather, it was because talking would help her remember.

"I know you really want to know, and you know, lighten up the mood, but....I dunno, maybe later?" She tried to smile at him, while going back to walking home. She took out her keys and unlocked her door. Julian turned to Cassius, holding the door open to him.

"So, yeah. Welcome to my humble abode."

SOTR

The witch glanced upwards, her eyes narrowing at the balcony and witnessing the retreating form, but given the mass of individuals above losing him as quickly as she found him. Didn’t even have the balls to confront her one and one, lucky for him her attention was caught once more by the fledgeling witch.

“You could say that,” She said. Though knowing that in reality that the amulet that she wore was the most responsible for keeping her safe. “ Doesn’t help that he was as much of a disappointment as I expected.” She did hope that this world had more powerful practitioners or magic, or at the very least ones that had information that could help her get to the Enchanted Forest.

Suddenly her fellow witch was brought to her knees. “Now what on Earth is wrong with-“ Her words were cut off as a dark presence ripped around the room. She only had enough time to conjure a hand of green flame before the trail of smoke forced its way inside of her through her mouth.

She stumbled backwards somewhat, head lolling and eyes blinking away unshed tears before her amulet began to glow a vibrant and blinding green light. Her jaw lowered and the black smoke was expelled from her form. Zelena dropped to her knees. Clutching at her chest and coughing uncontrollably, her typically blue eyes flashing green as her amulet continued to glow for a few moments before gradually dying down.

Secrets of the Raven
Branhwrn
Dawn Elissa

The cacophony of music throughout the club's dance floor was suddenly cut off by the sound of something loudly tapping the floor twice. None of the patrons dancing would get a chance to see the source however, as time ground to a halt immediately. It seemed only the Kents (and their ghostly passenger), Elizabeth, and Zelena were unaffected by the sudden pausing of the world. Anyone that looked to where the source of the noise came from would see Dawn standing near the door, holding a large scythe in her right hand.

"I leave you alone for a few hours, and everything goes wrong." she said, starting to walk towards the group, the staff of the scythe tapping the floor much quietly as she moved. "Don't tell me you need me to hold your hands through everything."

She stopped right by Elizabeth, looking at her. She couldn't see anything around the woman, but she felt the presence of something attacking her. "This one's on the house." She said, grabbing the snaith of her scythe with both hands, and swinging it down just behind the witch. The blade seemed to not connect with anything to an untrained observer, but Dawn sensed that it was buried up to the beard in whatever unseen tormentor had a hold on Elizabeth. Dawn's eyes glowed a little as her Razor sealed the demon away in a time loop it couldn't escape, trapping it forever until the loop was released or the demon banished.

She pulled her weapon free, and leaned down a little to the now free witch. "I hope you'll be more careful now, time isn't exactly some you have an abundance of, even if it is occasionally your ally." The scythe in her hand burned from the bottom up and disappeared completely, then the redhead snapped her fingers and time around them resumed as if nothing had happened.

The Wizarding War
Miria

Miria followed close behind, though she didn't exactly want to; they were going deeper into the belly of the beast, and she was relying on Madi to make sure she didn't get into any more trouble - assuming she could even do that.

"How, what if we do run into these other strangers, Human? How do we know that they're not here with permission? How do we know that they don't have control of this castle? I'm skeptical of this plan.", She whispered, growing more worried. "I don't think we should be exploring this place and getting into trouble when we have others waiting back at the old lady's house!"

Miria stopped for just a moment, falling silent again. She looked right, left, and up towards the distant ceiling of the large building, taking in her surroundings. It would have impressed her a lot, if she wasn't worried about whether or not they were about to get into some sort of confrontation or not.

The Forbidden Act | Avarice

Avarice was overcome with the strangest sensation when the Deviljho fell. The same sensation she felt when the soldier died, strands of life fleeing his body even as she tried to preserve him. In less than a second the Jho went from a grand, unstoppable monster to a corpse. A mundane, utterly unremarkable body. She looked down at her arms, twisted but anchored. There were no distortions around her, no geometries created by chaos. No. She was just another human now, devoid of anything worth noting. Like a broken puppet, no matter how strong her puppeteer was, her body simply could not achieve what it wanted. She could feel the overwhelming directives siphoned to her now, her greater, unknowable consciousness existing in conceptual space whispering instructions to her lesser, third-dimensional body. A twisted frown crossed her mutilated face, popping as her jaw broken slacked open. Food. Her hungers would have to be satisfied but first she had to speak to those she'd met. Information was sustenance after all.

The first people she met were the men and women on the ground, mourning the dead or nursing wounds. She'd done her best to save those who'd been hurt but even her best efforts hadn't been good enough. At least half a dozen soldiers, each one a human being with a family and purpose, were gone. It seemed so needlessly wasteful to her. A few of them seemed to recognise something uncanny about her, turning away before she approached. A good third drew their sidearms, thinking she was going to try something tricky. She supposed it was the gaping wounds, though this time around they were nowhere near lethal, merely aesthetically morbid. She felt rather inadequate, being so utterly insufficient to help these people recover. She felt an overwhelming respect for the doctors working here, operating with such professionalism and such a wealth of knowledge. She recognised that unlike her, they'd put effort into being so good at what they did. Ava stopped to regard a man lying on the ground, a shattered arm and burnt face visible from under his cracked armour. One of his compatriots struggled to pull his gear off.

"So do you think they'll live?"

The other one didn't even acknowledge her. She didn't blame them. Her appearance, her past and her demeanour were thoroughly disturbing, she recognised that. Even after saving so many lives though, why were they being so cold? The same sensation washed over her again, unidentifiable and enigmatic. Avery put a finger to her eye, swiping away a trickle of salt and blood. Strange. Behind her the old man, Gesh, spoke to the soldiers. He was a good man, a strong fighter and, like everybody else, unbelievably charismatic. She wanted to be him, to be everyone else she'd met. People, with thoughts and words that she could never think to articulate. A feeling she could identify blossomed in her heart. Happiness, and admiration. But that familiar tingling was back. What could it be? Hunger? She looked into a puddle of blood, seeing her own reflection. Red eyes and black blood. She was starving. Utterly, ravenous.

"Can I borrow this?"

The soldier gave her a weary nod and she relinquished them of their knife, stepping closer to the body of the Deviljho. This beast which had terrorised this clearing, taken up so much of it with its sheer presence was now... gone. In its place was an inanimate blob, torn to shreds and burnt alive in its own armoured shell. She saw every pitiable detail, the rabid saliva in its mouth, the long healed yet still sore wounds in its legs and underbelly. Those eyes which were so filled with rage and a desire to survive, glossed over and charred. It had spent the last moments of its life blind, deaf and consumed by fire from all sides. She could respect it, at least; and empathise in the same way she could empathise with her past self, back on that snowy mountain. A creature of ignorance, not knowing what to do but what it had already done its entire life. She knelt by its side and flicked open a scale, revealing a soft and lightly charred pustule of swollen, crying meat. She cut a chunk off and began to eat the enormous lizard right there, consuming it not much faster than a normal human, though with a voracious appetite that few could match. She wasn't alone in this activity either, noting that a few of the agents cutting into its hide smelled distinctly of hunger, too. Perhaps she wasn't as different from humanity as she'd been led to suspect.

She stood and watched her body slowly patching itself together for the upteenth time that day. Maybe her approach to things was wrong. Perhaps it was time to find a different path. She looked down at the knife in her hand and tucked it away, pulling flesh from the monster's insides and munching on them contemplatively, watching the main group decide on their next course of action.

L-Fel | Cassia

Cassius stepped into Julian's household, thanking her politely and holding the door open for her in return. It seemed she wasn't comfortable talking about her experiences with L-Fel. That was fine. He was nothing but patient.

"Thank you, Julian. So this is your house, hmm? It's very nice. I like the interior decor. So where will I be staying? Anyplace is fine. I assume you'll be going to bed soon, since we'll need to be fresh for tomorrow's trip. But business aside. I must thank you again for being so kind tonight. It's been a helluva ride, don't you think? That whole debacle with Fett-Kath, and now this misadventure."

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Marcus and Polly were mostly silent as they entered the great hall, following Madison as she led them through toward the imposing structure. The locale was rather brilliant, actually. Around them were lush forests with a winding, wavy horizon barely concealing the skyline. As they drew closer the dark and green soil turned to more colourful and solid earth. They would've worried about being spotted but quite honestly, Madi's air of quiet curiosity kept them going. She was rather confident about the nature of this world, though very confused at what those scientists and soldiers were doing here. Parting ways would only get them into trouble.

"Well, this place seems nice. It's very grandiose, almost gothic. What's the relative technology level of this universe by the way, barring the postmoderns you seem so worried about? Chances are they're like me, exploring other universes."
"I'm more worried about where we're going. The history of this place doesn't seem as important right now."
"You're just paranoid. This place is chock-full of things to catalogue and you're stressing out over some two-bit expeditionary force? Give me a break, Marc. You too, Miria. Frankly I'd be more worried about this apparently empty hall than the professional looking surveyors back there. At the very least, they look and act like humans. Here, though? We don't even know whether this hall was built for sea monsters or people!"

Madi
The Wizarding War
Hogwarts; The Great Hall

The group had reached the Great Hall and Madi stopped before the huge double doors and turned to the others.
"About the tech level....uh.....Well the Muggles are advanced, they have...."
Madi stopped talking for a moment as she tried to come up with a good answer. After thinking for a bit, she summoned a Muggle catalog of various things and handed it to Polly.
"That's only a small bit of what Muggles have, as for magic tech...we're basically the same level, maybe a bit higher in some cases, we just use magic for everything. As for your other question, this place was built for people, the Giant Squid just lives in the lake and no one knows just how old it is. There are fish people that live in the lake though, I'll take you to see them later if you want."
She then addressed Miria.
"I know your concerned too, but if no one else knows about these Muggles, we should at least warn them before we leave."
Madi turned to face the double doors, took a deep breath, and then pushed them open.

The entire room fell silent at the sight of Madi and the others that were with her.
Someone rose up from a chair at the far side of the room and began to cross the room at a fast rate.
Madi's demeanor seemed to change immediately as the person neared them, it almost seemed as if she was...scared of this person.

Headmaster Umbridge walked up to Madi and grabbed her by the arm.
"Do you know how long you've been gone for?"
Her voice was filed with anger and glee, she seemed to be enjoying this.
"Two months! Two months I've had to deal with students being rebellious and trying to overthrow me, this was your fault. Yours! And now you're going to pay...."
She happened to look up and see the others.
"....Who are all of you?"
Her gaze moved back to Madi, who could only look at the woman with mixed emotions.
"I-I can explain everything-"
"I bet you can. But after you pay for what you've done."
Umbridge took out her wand, pointed it towards Madi, and said Stupefy. Madi was knocked out and was handed over to two guards.
"Take her down to the dungeons, throw her in a cell."
The woman turned to the others.
"As for the rest of you, you'd better start talking. Right. Now."

Doug stepped back a bit as the beast began to stumble around, it then roared and fell to the ground, finally dead.
He wasn't that injured, compared to others, and he looked around before walking up to Nali and the others in her group.
"I have two questions. One, what was that, and two, where am I?"
He moved his gaze to Nali and held it a bit more than necessary, then forced his gaze to the older man before him.
"Name's Douglas, Douglas Forester. ...Well....My first name's Lincoln, but I go by either Douglas or Doug because of this history associated with my first name..."
Doug moved his gaze to the giant creature before looking back at the older man.
"I had..How do I describe this to you....Ah....I have...had, a space craft, a fighter jet, Nali mentioned that you use something like airships? Well my ship is something like that, but smaller."
He took out the Slate and showed the man what his jet looked like.
"I don't know if it can be fixed, but if it can be fixed, I can use it to get back home."

"Ha ha ha, yeah....Fett Kath. What an adventure." Julian chuckled a little, closing the door behind her. "Anyways, you don't have to thank me that much. I have a couch-bed in the living room. You can stay there for the night. Just be...quiet. Jona's sleeping."

She walked over to a couch and struggled to pry it open. After a tremendous effort, Julian managed to unfold the bed and walked off to get some sheets, pillows, and a blanket for Cassius.

"There we go. Now you just wait here."

The Wizarding War
Miria

Miria jumped. She didn't trust Madi, but she trusted the others even less, and besides - Madi was the closest lead she had to figuring out how to get herself back home. Having her locked up was unacceptable, given the circumstances. With that in mind, the young woman jumped between the guards and the doorway, with teeth bared and eyes locked on the Headmaster. "Wait just a moment, Human!", She hissed. "I'm not even supposed to be here, and that girl is my only lead on how to get out!", She said. A pointed finger was jabbed towards the group, wagging impatiently. "I've been dragged into a situation I have no desire to be in! First it's a Human sending me to their strange foreign castles, and then it's a Human using their strange foreign magic to leave me without a way back! How do I know you don't plan to keep me here? What are you doing with the girl? I don't intend to be stranded in the middle of nowhere!"

Miria was normally quite patient, but she was already at her wit's end now, between the magic and the possibility of losing her way back home...or, hell, even her way back to that island! She wasn't very keen on just letting someone drag Madi off to the dungeons, and she was even more concerned that a supposed school had dungeons! It must have been a Human thing, she thought, because it seemed especially mean to her. She didn't know if they were already considering the same punishment for her, but she was already making a note of where she'd kept her dagger, just in case.

L-Fel | Cassia

Cassius helped his host pull open the couch, using his considerable strength to unfold it. He made the bed and sat down upon it, testing the mattress. Julian really was being too kind, though he supposed she didn't know he didn't really need a bed. Or sleep. Just a place to stay while they waited for the morning to come.

"Thank you, Ms. Yamada. I suppose I'll see you in the morning, though I don't think I'll fall asleep. Have a restful night."

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Polly took the catalog from Madison with enthusiastic glee, flipping through the pages and nodding at each image and word as if she were looking through picture of some long forgotten holiday. Electric ovens? Cool. Diesel engines, not as cool. Christ, these 'muggles' were actually pretty lowball techs, even by the standards of the agrarian worlds she'd visited back home. Still, it was rather surprising that this castle was still standing after all these years. Magic and technology were separated in this world, huh? Sounded like the setup for a tale-of-two-worlds fantasy book. Not the best start, now that she knew that she'd have to open channels with two separate worlds, rather than just one.

"So you're a magical native, right? I guess you don't know much abouutt....."

Polly's voice trailed off as she stepped into the main hall, watching Madi get accosted by an enormous woman in a black robe, manhandling the girl and throwing her in prison? Marcus reacted instantly, reaching out with one hand and firing off a long cable, sticking to Madi's back and pulling her toward him. The guards pulled on the woman too, resulting in a stalemate between both parties, fighting over Madi's body. His eyes were unfocused and his breathing was going all funny, like he was struggling to get enough oxygen.

"Don't you dare touch her. I won't lose anyone else."

Things were deteriorating rapidly. Miria was baring her teeth and Marcus was starting to lose it. He yelled and yanked on the rope, pulling on Madi. He used the two guards' inertia to fling himself toward them, turning intangible just long enough to slide behind them and start brawling, firing off cables to restrain his opponents and sticking their limbs together with glue.

"Don't you fucking, dare!"

Everything was blurry. All he could see were shadowy shapes, indistinct and fuzzy. The world was warm but he was cold, coated in spider's web. He pushed through the dark, reaching for Madison. if he could protect her, she could help him. She could read his mind, fix everything. He grabbed one of the guards, holding his forearm up to his neck and backing off, holding the attendant hostage. Polly closed her eyes, thinking quickly. Did she want to start popping skulls? No, being the first to kill someone would irreversibly turn this entire planet against her. Instead she approached Umbridge, holding out one hand and sending unbelievable currents of electricity through it, hoping to electrocute the witch.

"Woah, woah! We're friendly. I'm not armed, see? Shake my hand, it'll calm him down. My friend is uhh, a little cuckoo. Doesn't like it when his friends get hurt."

The Charred Council’s chambers
War was walking into the chambers of the one group of beings that could order around the horsemen of the apocalypse. The charred Council. Three giant golden statues of heads with fire in their eyes, resting in a literal pool of magma. When he entered, the first head, the one to the right, boomed, “WAR! You have been summoned to the third kingdom.

Wars head shot up at that and he snarled out, “No, you all know exactly what happened last time I went there. I am not going through that again! Not without my brothers and sister as witnesses should things go wrong again!”

SILENCE!!” boomed the third head, the one to the left. “We are not sending you to the third kingdom here in this universe.

That however made war even angrier, “All the more reason why I refuse! The balance here is still reeling after everything Abaddon has done! Not to mention that other universes, last I checked, was not under our perview.” The red rider yelled out.

As war finished the second head, the one in the middle’s eyes lit up. “But this universes balance is in even worse state than ours, with others ending up there. We’re tasking you to make sure this doesn’t ripple into others, let alone ours.

“Even if I accept that reasoning, how am I going to get there? My void walker portals are no where near strong enough to travel through kingdoms, let alone universes.” War growled out.

That merchant demon Vulgrim, his serpent holds cross throughout the multiverse, and even though we keep forcing him to shut down the ones that aren’t going places from this universe to this universe” the third head started

More open up.” the first head finished.

“Fine then, I shall go see Vulgrim.” War relented.

After walking around the realm of the charred Council, Vulgrim was heard behind the red rider. “Ahh isn’t it my favorite customer. What can old Vulgrim do for you today? Upgrades to your blade? Give me free money? Or..”

“I need to get to another universe.” War interrupted, not in the mood for Vulgrim’s rankings about his wares.

“Ah so the council finally saw reason in keeping those serpent holes open. Fine, but it’ll cost you, how about...” Vulgrim trailed off, trying to think of a price.

“Free, this is on the orders of the charred Council themselves.” War finished for the demon merchant.

“Fine, Fine” Vulgrim began, waving his hand and the space below him started to glow as he moved out of the way. “Enter here and you will be taken where you need to go.”

War grunted in confirmation and entered. Where he was sent, he did not see coming.

Third Wizarding War. Outside of Hogwarts between AEGIS and the grand entrance

Thunder could be heard booming out of nowhere from miles around, and if one looked closely at the ground, in an area a bright light could be seen in what looked like a pot hole. When the light died down a tall, buff figure clad in red with a hood up and a giant sword strapped to his back could be seen. At the wave of his hand a horse appeared. And he mounted it. Looking around he saw a giant castle, and decided he would get answers there. Riding towards it he felt resistances, but he powered through them with some trouble. As he rode up to the enter an event he got off of ruin, and started knocking. Hard.

The Wizarding War
Hogwarts, Great Hall

Umbridge raised her wand and glared daggers at the three newcomers.
"You're trying to test me, testing to see how far you can go before you do something."
The woman then held out a hand for some reason.
"...Are.....Are you a Diplomat?"
Being one to not sour public relations, even if they were Muggles, Umbridge cautiously shook the woman's hand.
And was shocked.
Umbridge yelled and sent a spell towards the guards and the man fighting over Madi. The man was knocked out and taken away as well as Madi. Umbridge then towered over the two remaining 'guests'.
"Let me make this clear, the only reason I haven't carted you off to the dungeons is because-"
She didn't get to finish, for all around the Great Hall, students began to riot, fighting guards and pro ministry people alike.
Umbridge was soon forgotten about and all she could do was stand there and scream.
She really did she resemble a screeching toad as she began to throw a tantrum, randomly casting spells in any direction, not caring who or what they hit.
If Polly and Miria for the memo, they would escape and get as far from Umbridge as they could.

just then, a loud banging was heard throughout the castle. Umbridge made her walk out of the Great Hall without much incident and left her guards to fend for themselves as she walked to the main enternace doors. She opened them and found herself staring at.......Someone.

"Just a minute." Julian came back with the bed linens, and made the bed for Cassius. "Alright, I guess you're all set. Well. Have a good night, too then. Thank you for coming along. I'm going upstairs now, but you can call if you need anything..."

Julian smiled at Cassius one last time before heading up the stairs. She wandered over to Jona's room, where she found the boy asleep in his bed. Jules adjusted his blanket and planted a small kiss on his head before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her. Now, she'd probably go to sleep herself...

The Forbidden Act | Avarice and Tone

Valerian was falling. Again. He'd been through two iterations already and it seemed that trend would only continue. Why was he so inadequate? Why did he keep getting created again and again, only to be discarded and renewed? Maybe it was his creator's fault. Maybe. But regardless of the reason, his only thought was; "I've got her now". And it was true! He'd tracked Avarice across hundreds of dimensions and pocket dimensions and minidimensions and megadimensions and macrodimensions and justfuckingkillmedimensions already. But this one, he knew, was his final stop.

He popped into existence a few metres off the ground, reaching out with one hand and forcing the grass beneath him to grow upwards, cushioning his fall with a pleasant whumph. She'd definitely been here. The smell of hunger lingered in the air like a foul stench, curling around trees and writhing about places where she'd stopped to do... whatever something like her did. It was strange. The last dimension he'd visited had been rather pleasant, full of living creatures and not-at-all obliterated planets. He'd thought she'd simply skipped that dimension, or been forced out of it, but that theory was soon dismissed by the fact that not a day before his arrival a fairly high profile case had been heard involving the cannibalisation of a man on the exact mountain she'd appeared on.

He slipped a picture of his old house out of his pocket, taking a moment to look at the people in the frame. His mother, father, sisters and brother. He did this every time he visited someplace Avarice had ravaged as a way of reminding himself why he was on this journey. He already knew where this trail led and he was prepared for what lay at its end. He did not know how powerful this creature was, not least because the only evidence he'd found of her existence had been the absence thereof. Did it take her seconds, or eons to consume a universe? Why did she do it, what was her purpose? He'd fought her before but she'd seemed rather tame then. Perhaps the concept hiding in a human's body had been weakened by the battle. Perhaps it was on the run.

He stumbled across the Deviljho's corpse long before he spotted the depleted Avarice. Its mighty form temporarily confused him, thinking that it was the body of his quarry. It certainly emitted the same aura of emptiness that she did, but in a very different way. Avarice could not feel anger. This thing reeked of it. The closest thing he could find to his quarry was a woman standing by the monster, consuming flesh right there but - she had emotions, and was far too weak to be what he was searching for. She was frail and withered, barely strong enough to stand on her own two legs. And, most importantly, she could feel. So where was Avarice? Its trail ended here. It must've escaped again, he supposed. Time was really irrelevant, so long as he was not in the same universe as who he was looking for. Universes ran on different timeframes, so no matter how swift he was to chase after her, he'd still either be far too early or millennia too late. Instead Valerian approached the group of rather intimidating looking hunters standing to the side, conversing with one another.

"Hello, there. My name is Valerian, and, well... I'm kind of here on a hunt. I'm sure you're familiar with hunting, since by the looks of it you and those soldiers took down the beast. Would you happen to have seen a strange creature nearby? A devouring entity, black smoke, incomprehensible eldritch nature and what-have-you? It might look like a woman, strange as that might sound. It's a monster, and I'm here to kill it."

Avarice looked up from her meal, seeing something familiar. A man stood, talking to Moira and the others. Did she recognise him? Maybe. She didn't bother remembering her enemies; they were too numerous (and dead) to count. She returned to her meal, barely taking any interest in the newcomer.

The Third Wizarding War | Avenoir and Mnemosyne

Marcus was drowning. His lungs filled up with water, bloating and crying into his abdomen. He struggled to breathe, tried to suck in air but more and more brine simply went down his throat. He kept breathing in, long after his lungs should've burst. His eyes, bleary with tears, could only see vague and distant shapes, looming upon him. He knew they were his enemies, drowning Madi too. He thrashed against the waters of sleep, his body in the real world bristling with thousands of long strings firing off in all directions, randomly binding objects together and flying around like whips. And as his body fell over, its energy exhausted, his mind bloomed.

He found himself in a field. Yellow flowers, stretching their petals toward the sky shuffled around him. The grass caressed his legs, as tall as his legs. Above him there was no sun but instead an endless, vast blue cloudless sky. A quiet, comforting warmth. He was home. And in front of him was a girl dressed in lavender cloth with a face and a voice he couldn't remember. She looked at him and he felt so guilty. How could he have forgotten her? She was right in front of him, right there. He tried to speak but a young boy's words came out instead.

"I think these flowers look really pretty. Mum would really like these!"

She was rather unimpressed by that suggestion. Mnemosyne, the name of the girl, spun around and began walking toward a lush green horizon, which stank of hatred to him. It was where he'd been last, when the voice had spoken to him.

"Come on, slowpoke. You're always afraid to leave the house. What's gotten into you? Scared you'll get hurt?"
"No, it's just that I don't think we should be going so far. Mum always told us to be careful, you know?"
"Well we're not the ones lying in bed all day being sick."

He still didn't want to leave. His legs, though strong for someone at his age, refused to budge. The basket in his hands waved in the wind, spilling flower stems and grass stalks over the field. He knew now why the grass seemed so tall; he was utterly tiny. Dwarfed even by the green blades around him. She seemed to notice something on his face, walking over slowly and extending a hand toward him.

"Don't be scared. Hold my hand, I'll lead you into the forest myself, okay?"

He nodded, blinked and woke up.

A dark room. A voice that he could kind of remember, like he'd felt this feeling of nostalgia before.

"I can finally talk to you! Yes! We had to cut our last conversation short, since you sort of forgot I existed. But I don't mind. Hi, Marcus!"

He looked around, seeing only further darkness. Come to think of it, he couldn't even feel his own body. Sure enough, when he tried to poke himself, his arm seemed to phase through where his torso should've been. It seemed he'd been robbed of form and of memory. At least for the time being. He'd forgotten the last chat he'd had with this suspiciously candid entity but now the memories were flooding back. That experience was getting a little exhausting now.

"I'm sorry but who are you again?"
"I'm-... my name is... I actually, uhh, can't remember my name."
"Oh. I guess you're in the same position as me?"
"Yeah. I don't know what I should call myself."

He saw a light in front of him. He reached out and this time, he could faintly make out the outline of his hand. He tried to put his palm to his face but he still couldn't find where his body was supposed to be. When he clenched his fist, the fingers went straight through his hand. He tried looking around, searching for the source of the voice, but there was nothing to see but the light.

"I think I'm going to wake up soon. When I do, I'll forget you again. Quickly, what do you have to do with my memories? With my amnesia?"
"I remember some things sometimes, far more than you. When I do I try to show you, since you seem really confused all the time. I don't know much else but I'm sure the next time we get to talk I'll be able to tell you more!"

The light was blinding now, illuminating his entire body. He could tell he was intangible by the way that his limbs moved through one another without resistance, phasing through like badly rendered polygons. The effect was jarring. He'd be awake soon, so he had to finish this conversation quickly.

"Okay then. Thanks. I'm going to leave so, while I'm away, try thinking of a name for yourself. And maybe come up with a body, if you can? I'd like to see what you look like!"
"Yes! I'll do that. Goodbye, Marcus. Keep us both safe, okay?"

He blinked and he woke up.

Meanwhile Polly tried her best to manage the situation, ironically reacting with shock at the fact that the witch was still standing after receiving such a massive jolt. She acted quickly as the entire room burst into fervent action, surrounding herself and Miria in a hexagonal shell of liquid iron and running toward the exit, gliding over the ground. She would've moved much faster but protecting Miria was her priority at the moment, not least because she would probably be extremely important to any plans she had to save either Marcus or Madi. A few dazed students, guards and other persons came too close for comfort, being rewarded with a metallic projectile to the face for their troubles. Even at very slow speeds, a ball of liquid magnet was strong enough to knock people out. Any more force would've split their skulls on the spot.

"Come on! Let's push through! Handle our behinds, I'll cover the flanks and our front."

Cicero got up from laying down, walking over to Avarice. He was curious, to what she was eating.

"Whatcha got there? You seem to be enjoying it." He cocked his head at her. It could have been a human or animal-he couldn't even tell by now. Was he hungry too? He did feel a little craving for watermelon.

He looked up. The soldiers seemed to be gathering it for later. Cicero himself looked at the dead carcass, then decided to slice off some bits as well.

"What does it taste like?" he asked Avarice.

Aestus suddenly warped from where he was, fading out of the universe he was. He spent a few moments as he involuntarily moved between worlds, surprised it was happening again.
"What? Again?" he thought aloud, before plopping down in another world.

Landing a few inches above the ground, he landed on his feet, slightly cracking the ground beneath him. Looking around him, he saw his manta ray and other assorted creatures with him. That was good, at least. He wasn't sure where he was, or what to do, but at least he would have some animals to comfort him. Looking around him, he saw a house, and deciding to go there.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" He asked, knocking on the door of someone's house.

Secrets of the Raven
Branhwrn, Club Midnight

To say that Zelena's feat of pushing out a demon from possessing her was impressive is an understatement. Sure the demon manage to get inside of her but she still manage to get it out, that spoke volumes on both her magic and will. Yet while Elizabeth would have made a comment about it the fact was the demon was still present and was still using telekinesis to choke her made it impossible for her to speak. Worse still it's grip grew tigher as it was now enraged at what happened and it was now taking it's rage on her. The demon now behind her as moved it's smokey tendrils to her neck.

Elizabeth was gasping as her face began to change color. When she hears the music stopping she looked up to see Dawn arrival. Elizabeth only response to her comment about having to hold everyone's hands was Elizabeth gasping for air as she reached out for help. When she swung her scythe down Elizabeth gave Dawn a look of fear but when the blade went behind her she saw that it cut the black smoke behind her, she heard the demon scream in pain as it's grip was loosen and eventually let her go.

As the demon was trapped in the time loop and time return back to home Elizabeth was now taking in long, deep, breaths as she massage her neck, wincing in pain as she felt the bruises developing on it. She looked at Dawn. "Thank you Dawn. You have no idea how happy I am to see a god that actually gives a shit about us puny mortals." She said as she gave the goddess a smile. Elizabeth was suddenly hugged by Simon tightly. "I'm so glad that you're safe Ellie! I was worried that you were going to die." The overjoyed Simon said. Elizabeth left eyebrow twitched. "Let it go Liz. He is just glad your safe." Elizabeth let her finger move across his chest as she also felt his muscular arms around her waist. "Besides, why let a nickname ruin this lovely moment." the witch let a smirk form on her lips.

Simon looked at the demon and at Dawn. "Where did you come from and how did you trap that demon in a time loop." Simon asked, now fascinated over Dawn and her strange powers. Elizabeth looked up at Simon with a puzzled expression, wondering how on Earth he can see the demon? Elizabeth looked at Zelena. "You're alright love? That terrible odor is the scent of a demon. I know it's awful. I wish I can say you will get use to it but in reality you will just get use to it enough so not to puke." The group would soon find the same young man who lead Jackie through the tour arrive to their spot. "I was looking for you all. The manger would like to see you all." He said, giving the group a wide smile. Hiseyes went to Elizabeth and the witch glared at him, the man also giving her a predatory look as well. "He especially wants to see you Ms. Ashwood." The man looked at Zelena and Dawn. "Are you two friends with Ashwood? If you are you can follow her, otherwise you two can't come along unfortunately. " The man told them as the same smile was still in place. Both Elizabeth and the Wraith inside Simon got a terrible feeling about the man.

Elsewhere in the club the woman in the red dress would reach to Haruka from behind and whisper. "Don't turn around miss. The manger wants to see you and your friends." She told her. "Go to the entrance. You will find another group who is going to see the manger, join them to get answers that you will need for your current predicament." The woman said as she moved back and blend back to the crowd.

The Third Wizarding War

Within the castle the invisible agents found the courtyard where a group of students were surrounding something. Walking towards them they found that the students were surrounding the broken remains of the fallen drones. "What are these things?" One student asked as a few went down to carefully touch the strange metal devices, to see if touching them would do anything. "Whatever these things are they are broken. But where did they came from?" The one student who asked that question got an answer as the first one who saw the drones told them that they saw them fall out the sky.

"You guys think these things were made by muggles?" The agents were confused by the term muggle as the other students questioned the one who suggested the muggle origins of the strange machines. "You heard from the headmistress. Muggle devices don't work well in Hogwarts and we don't know what these things are. These things might have been made by muggles." That got the immediate response of someone asking why would a muggle machine be in Hogwarts and how would muggles even know about the castle. Hearing this the agents now have an understanding that this world was like their own, one divided between a perceived normal world and a hidden paranormal world.

But as the agents wonder how to get the damaged drones from the students a group of new ones ran towards the others, telling them of the fight erupting in the great hall. Most quickly lost attention of the drones and left with the others to see the fight. Yet one student grabbed one of the damaged drones and ran off with it. The agents were slightly annoyed with the lost of one drone but decided to focus on the others before the students can return. As they collected the drones the agents began to leave the courtyard and go through the halls.

However all the halls lead to the great hall which was engulf in the fight they heard about. The agents cursed their luck. As many decide to wait out the fight one of them was sent flying back as a powerful stun spell hit them on the face, a misfire that actually hit something besides the wall. The young wizard who saw the ball of red light hit something was confused by what they saw but they didn't have long to think on what happened as they too were hit by a stun spell. The others looked for their fallen unseen comrade and once they located them began to move back into the halls to find another exit as a loud banging was heard from the front doors.

Back in the great hall the one student with the broken drone was still holding on to it, wondering what to do in this situation and who to turn the drone too as everyone was busy with tearing each other apart. Out on the front door a few more agents who were also invisible saw War walk to the front door a d they decide to follow him as he approached the front door. When they door open they saw an old woman opening it and she was not happy to see him, the agents even heard conflict coming from within the castle.

The Third Wizarding War
Miria

"I'll do my best!", Miria cried, moving quickly behind Polly. The loss of Madi and Marcus was a major blow, but as long as she had one ally, then she wasn't truly lost. The chaos that had erupted around them was both a boon and a bother, and while it provided them a golden opportunity to run, it made their escape quite a dangerous one; Miria didn't need to worry about that, however, thanks to the strange abilities of the other Human girl. All she needed to do was keep a check on their rear and make sure that neither of them got nabbed like the rest.

Miria wanted to reach for her dagger, but she realized quite fast that for all the fighting around them, nobody was getting truly hurt; if she stabbed or cut someone, that would definitely put them on everyone else's bad side - not that they hadn't gotten themselves there already. It was an inconvenient realization, that left her groaning, as she'd have to rely on her raw strength for any potential fight. Nonetheless, the blade stayed, and Miria instead relied on her quick reflexes and sharp eye to keep watch, and dispatch anyone who would dare to cross them. She hoped that nobody would, but if they did, she'd be sure to give them a fight, and if they really had it coming, they'd get a nasty bite from her.

"So", She piped up, following close behind Polly. "Where are we headed?"

The Third Wizarding War
United Kingdom, Hogwarts

The group of agents rushed through the halls until they found an empty and seemingly abandoned classroom. As two gently laid down the unconsciousness agent they all saw the effect of the invisibility spell wearing off, revealing their former. "Oh this is just great. Our esper is knocked out a and we are trapped in this madhouse." One of the agents said as they began to pace around in the room. The leader of the time knelt down to check on the esper, opening his eye lids and flashing light to see how his pupils will react.

"Calm your tits Dimitri. Right now we have been spotted and the only clue they have to our presence is one broken drone which they think belongs to these "muggles"." The leader, Carlos, said. If he was honest he hated the term muggle. It sounded both childish and he suspect it has some negative connotation towards people who can't use magic. Another agent took out the bag containing the powder and frown. "We don't have enough for everyone to be invisible again." She told the group. Carlos didn't like the news but he won't let this situation affect morale for his group. "How many people can use it Miranda?" The female agent looked inside. "One, probably two of we split the amount evenly." The lead agent thought about what do.

He had an idea. It was a risk plan but if it worked then they might be able to leave without alerting the residence of the castle to their presence. "Miranda you use the powder and get out of here. Tell everyone that we are stick and to send a team to recuse us." The woman nodded. Carlos took out his knife and cut a piece of his hair. As he got up and walked to where Miranda was to give her the hair he knew that with that piece of himself AEGIS thaumaturges can find him and his team with no problem. The other agents gave her their hair as well as they were aware of what their leader was thinking.

Once Miranda got everyone's hair she began to apply the powder on herself. Once she was done she began to vanish before their eyes. "Wish me luck." Were her last words to the group as she open the door and left the group of agents. Miranda began to search through the many halls for an alternative exit, lasting through students and staff alike. She was even shock to find ghosts of all things roaming the halls. "What is this place?" the agent thought as she went to the stairs, finding them moving on their own. The stunned agent was a lost for words as watch the stairs moved fro. one location to the next. She quickly ran down a flight of stairs but she abruptly stopped when the staircase began to move. It stopped at a door and as she went towards it she found it won't open.

Before she can knock the staircase moved again, this time to a painting of a fat lady. The agent was puzzled by the change but was surprised to see the painting moved, the woman looking confused over something. The stairs moved again and this time it connected to another hallway. Miranda quickly ran down out of the stairs and into the halls. She found many doors inside this hallway but she open neither as she was in a time limit. Miranda could loud noises and soon she found herself back to the same scene of utter chaos as before. The agent was furious at her rotten luck but decided to try and take advantage of her invisibility. So she ran into the battleground.

Miranda was quick to dodge the bodies that fell, all being hit by spells to stun them. A few bolts of energy nearly hit her but she managed to evade them, though some by the skin of her teeth and were only dodged by pure luck. Miranda was close to the door but she soon found two major obstacles, one was the old toad-like woman blocking the door and the other was the tall man in armor standing outside.

The Shape of the Nightmare to Come

Asura - Line Okinawa

The ships grew larger over the course of several minutes, as Asura drew closer and closer to them. Soon more shapes became visible, and it soon became apparent that they were locked in a battle with something. The fighting was far off, but it looked fierce. Who were they fighting? Why were they fighting? What was going on?!

Soon fifteen smaller shapes began to approach him, which were revealed to be other ships. Asura stopped directly in front of them, staring each of them down. They weren't making any aggressive motions toward him, and rather they seemed to be signaling him judging by the lights and the expressions on the faces of the pilots within the ships. Still Asura was unsure of their intentions, and furthermore he was unsure of how to proceed. Eventually he decided to try to speak to them; though he was unsure of whether or not they could hear him. After all: mortals didn't tend to have the ability to hear in space. "Where am I?! Who are you people?!" He demanded.

The Forbidden Act

The Party - Misty Peaks

Rex was perplexed by the agent's words, as he didn't have anything that could bring people back from the dead. Once it was apparent that the man was talking about a potion, Rex nodded and reached into his pack. He felt around for a few seconds, and then extracted 4 regular potions and 3 mega potions, and then he handed them to the agents. "This is all I have left, but they'll help heal some of your wounds. Be sure to pass them around to those who need them. I'll warn you though: it doesn't taste all that great, but it's effective." He said.

When the agents began harvesting the Deviljho, that prompted Gesh to speak up. "Hey now, you're entitled to some of the beast, but the Guild needs most of it for their own research." He informed them. Gesh then noticed Avarice beginning to consume the Deviljho, and he couldn't help but be put off by the sight. "What on earth are you doing, girl?! You can't just eat it raw! You want worms of something?!" He exclaimed. This prompted Moira to speak. "I don't think she cares about that, Gesh. She's not human." The huntress informed him, which perplexed him greatly. "Really? ... You could've fooled me..." Gesh muttered, still confused by this whole multiverse business.

While this was going on, Nali was busy cleaning her bowgun and making sure it was still in working order after the hunt. She stopped when Doug approached her. "O-oh. Hey again! Well for one: that was a monster called Deviljho, and for two this area is called the Misty Peaks. It's called that because it's A. up in the mountains, and B... well, it's misty... Yeah..." She explained. Gesh then turned his attention to the man when he as addressed, nodding to him after he introduced himself. "Ahh... Nice to meet you Douglas. The name's Gesh Antorus." He replied, offering his hand for a shake.

Gesh then listened as Doug explained his bizarre vehicle to him, showing him a picture of it on a small slate. "Well now... That's certainly interesting... But, how's it supposed to fly without balloons?" He inquired, making Nali speak up. "I asked the same question, and he told me that there were these super-advanced people called the Sheika, and that his people inherited their technology. I guess that's how it can fly without balloons." She said, causing Gesh to nod. "Right... I'm not sure how that's possible, but I just learned that there are whole other worlds out there, so I guess anything's possible?" The old hunter said.

Then looking back at Doug he said: "Well then Douglas, I guess I can ask the Wycademy to send a team to recover your craft; though I don't know if we can do anything to fix it for you. The Guild's made some pretty advanced kit, but this?... It might be a bit more than we can handle."

After this, yet another newcomer arrived, and he was talking to Moira. She listened to his words, and immediately she suspected that he was looking for Avarice. She looked down at Percy, who looked back up to her, and then the two had a silent exchange consisting of just a few expressions. The two then nodded to each other, and Moira looked back up at Valerian. "You're talking about Avarice, aren't you? She's over there." The huntress said, gesturing back over her shoulder to the concept. Despite her assistance in the fight, the woman still scared Moira to death, as her vary nature was entirely alien to the huntress.

She was used to dealing with monsters, but Avarice was in another league of her own. If he deals with her, then I won't have anything to worry about. She thought.

Jules jolted awake at the knocking. It scared her a bit at first, and she looked out of her window to see who it was. Julian sighed in relief once she realized it was Aestus, and she walked down the stairs to open the door to him.

“Aestus? What are you doing here? Is this the doing of the Multiverse rifts?”

The Forbidden Act
Misty Peak

"So long as it works I don't care if it taste like piss." The agent told Rex as he took the potion and drank some of it, passing it to another agent. The others did the same, recovering just enough for them to wait for the doctors to arrive and heal them. Soon medical robots arrived and they began to carry off injured agents out of the former battlefield.

The agents cutting up the Deviljho tried to ignore Avarice eating the monster raw as they cut up pieces of it. They heard Rex telling them to save some for a Guild to study. "Guild? Who are they?" An agent asked, this agent being one of Hex's team mates with the code name Con Man. When he heard about them talking about how Doug's jet couldn't fly without a balloon Con Man chuckled. "Trust me you can fly without balloons. We use to think the same a long time ago back home but we eventually found a way to fly without those. Of course most of our development didn't came from studying tech from a dead civilization, we had to make them on our own."

Con Man looked at Doug. "When these guys are done messing around with your jet give us a chance on fixing it." Con Man said, unaware that his organization already took pieces of the jet while he was gone. The agents soon saw Tone and heard his request on finding Averice, of which Moira was willing to to tell him where she was. The other agents were silent on what fo fo with his request but those with cyber telepathic implants discussed with each other what to do and most came to a decision.

The Forbidden Act | Avarice and Tone

Valerian looked over at the woman who Moira was pointing at. Avarice? She was eating raw flesh, was surrounded by an aura of hunger and fear. The closer he looked the more telling she became, red eyes and mismatched biology, spatial distortions dancing inside her body like droplets of blood. This was it. After all this time he'd kill her, end this madness and tear her apart. He took a step forward, and she looked up. What a pleasant man! He was dense with energy, conceptually rich. She controlled herself. No! Killing was wrong. If she did anything questionable now, she'd never be accepted into the group. Yes. Friendship, that was what she wanted. She looked at him and waved, approaching him with a bloodstained hand.

Tone did not want friendship. He clenched his teeth and swiped his arm through the air, sending thousands of grass shoots through her body, instantly piercing the concept in millions upon millions of places. What was he doing? Was he going to kill her? Audrey tried to free herself, struggling to talk so she could get the message across to this man that she was friendly. He simply clenched his fist, growing thorns from the blades still stuck in her body, filling her up with sharp tapered points and spikes, bursting her body like a balloon. Sure enough, she began to grow back. He saw an arm reaching out from under the pile of gore and he just felt. So. Angry. Why couldn't this thing just die? What would it take?

"I'm going to put you back in the dirt, Avarice. I'm going to bring back the lives that you stole from me."

A mound of vines and creepers grew over the pile, stretching into the sky and expanding endlessly as the entire conglomerate shifted and twisted upon itself, writhing and ripping holes in Avarice every time she tried to reform. Blood began to seep from beneath the ever growing crucible of tortured plants, jagged pieces of bone mixing in with solid green flesh. Thorned teeth dug into her misshappen body, ripping it apart and spreading it thin between the roots. The ground turned muddy with red and green, ripping up the soil and withering the trees around them as more and more life flushed itself toward Valerian, shaking now with frustration. Even when she wasn't fighting back, even when she was too weak to resist, why couldn't he just kill her? He smiled and laughed, letting the pile of plants fall to the ground and turn to dust, his energy expended. The mound blew away like dust, leaving only the minced meat previously trapped within. Avarice formed again slowly, barely just a torso and a head lying in an endless lake of gore. Quite a disturbing sight, she thought. Her voice was intact, despite the utter ruin the rest of her body was in. Her voice gurgled as phlegm and crimson sludge expelled itself from her lungs.

"Hey! You shouldn't do that! Killing is bad!"
"What? Are you trying to fucking mock me all over again!? You, were supposed, to die!"

He waded into the pool and picked her up with his hands, letting corrosive energy flow through his fingers. He was loathe to touch this monster but seeing its hideous form crumble beneath his touch was well worth it. He squeezed and let his eyes show, a screaming inferno of red. The air around them turned cold, the blood freezing beneath his feet. Avarice's body bloated and bruised as lines of solid red ice crept up her face, obliterating what little remained of her.

"I'd drain the life out of you, but there wouldn't be anything to take. You're a monster, no matter how much you think you have these people fooled. You took my family, my world! And you did it over and over, a thousand worlds, devoured because of you. I shouldn't even be talking. You're just a soulless sack, you pathetic cunt. Just another monster. The people you thought you had fooled? They handed you in. To me."

He dropped her to the ground and she grew once again, crawling in the muck and thinking. Moira. Percy. They'd told him what she was, where she'd been. Had this man been searching for her this entire time? She'd been so confused earlier. At what to think of her past, of what that tumultuous, roiling feeling in her chest had been when she'd seen those soldiers nearly killed by the Deviljho. She clenched the ground and her eyes went a feral red for a moment, overwhelmed by the newly identified sensation. That of sadness. She'd learned sadness. Valerian kicked her in the side, tearing a hole in her body and flinging her beyond the lake of her own organs she'd made. Her broken body landed amongst a patch of grass, slicking it with bright red fluid. She'd failed in saving that soldier's life. She'd failed in making herself fit in. The bubbly helper was gone, replaced by the confused, repentant wreck.

"I didn't-"

He broke half the bones in her body with one gesture, a trunk of wood plowing into her heart. Valerian, so close to winning now, stood over her, feeling very very alive. Catharsis. He felt the weight of decades of horror slipping off his shoulders. He understood now how something could do that to so many worlds, eat so many alive. In the end it was a weak, worthless monster.

"Why won't you just shut up? If you want redemption then ask the countless worlds you've destroyed. Say, with absolute conviction that you're sorry. You can't, can you? You don't even have any real emotions. If you have any desire at all to fix things, then you'll let me kill you. Because that's the only way you can give back what you've taken."

He picked her up with one hand, reaching into her chest with the other and pulling out a clod of black gas, ripping the core of her being out.

"Just stay still. It'll all be over soon."

Misty Peaks
Cicero grabbed Valerian's hand, stopping him from completely pulling the cloud of gas out.

"What are you doing!?"

Cicero himself couldn't believe what he was doing. Ava really did seem to be a monster, and he might as well let Valerian kill her. After all, Valerian seemed to be justified. But....

She did save his life.

A life for a life, he guessed to himself.

Cicero clamped down on Valerian's hand with his.
