Empty Wallets / New York Administrative District

Aestus realized quickly what was happening, and gave in to the pressure to stay closer to the road. However, he had a plan in mind to deal with the drones.
"We won't be able to escape with those drones on us, but I have a plan," Aestus said to his passengers, speeding up to Teru's car.
"I have a plan that involves my axe. I won't be able to stop that giant thing, but I can take care of the drones," Aestus told them, keeping steady beside Teru's car. He didn't know if the man was trustworthy, truth be told, but he couldn't just drop the two people with him on the road.

Secrets of the Raven

"It's a surprise." She replied back to the vampire as she waited for the door to open. When she heard the lock of the door being unfasten she prepared herself for whatever madness the Kents were going to unleash on her. Yet she was not prepare to see herself opening the door. "What the hell?" the confused mage thought as she saw her double at the other side of the door

As Skylar, in her form and with her voice, introduce herself as a carjacker who likes to pester families for magical artifacts the witch was giving her a deadpan expression, obviously not amused by the act, she was even less amused with being called a doppelganger. "Can you just let us in please." The deadpan mage asked, having a hard time seeing herself being as positive as Skylar.

"I'm the doppelganger? You know what I don't care, that isn't important." She said, looking over at Lilith. "My friend here needs help. You see she is a vampire but she isn't your typical vampire, no no, she is a vampire from another universe. For whatever reason there are gifts opening up 8n this town displacing people from their home universes to this town. I suspect that this has something to do with the cult murdering people. Oh yeah there is a killer cult on the loose and one of the reasons I wanted to get the soul catcher from you three is because I didn't want them to get." Elizabeth explained.

The witch walked over to a bed and sat down on it, taking out a cigarette as she continue to speak. "Right now Lilith here hasn't eaten for a while now and right now she can control her hunger but if we don't sate her hunger now she may lose control and kill someone." The witch lit the cigarette, putting away the lighter. "I can't give her my blood because I might need it and the two of us aren't big fans of hunting down homeless people to drain blood from. So I'm asking if you two can help her by giving her some of your blood?" She asked, her eyes on Simon and Hope as Skylar wasn't much help with this request due to her being living impaired.

Empty Wallets
Harvard wasn't sure where exactly he was, but he knew that he was somewhere. He smacked his lips. He remembered seeing some misfits take a car. He remembered hopping into the trunk when they weren't looking to save money on taxi fare. Perhaps he is still in the trunk. It would explain why he can't see anything. In the cramped space, he manages to grab the crowbar in his bag. It's a nice crowbar. The guy who he bought it from sold it to him for three grand and had told Harvard it was a Louis Vuitton crowbar, fresh from that luxury store "Home Depot". So of course Harvard splurged on a high quality crowbar. Harvard, feeling as though they drove past his stop, began attempting to pry open the trunk with said "luxury crowbar". No dice.

"Damn German hen-jin-hearing" Harvard grumbled loudly.

He began rummaging through his backpack again, sorting through the bean cans to find his C96 Mauser. As the vehicle sped on, Harvard shakily brought the pistol to what he believed to be the trunk's lock, and fired at it twice.

"FRIGGING ANCAPS STOP THE CAR YOU MISSED MY STOP" Harvard screamed. His foot kicked at the trunk's now broken lock, and it jumped up and down, opened and damaged. Harvard puts his stuff in his bag, and pushes the trunk cover over and kneels out, the wind blowing on his face as the car was racing onward. He clutched at the sides of the trunk with one hand and held the pistol in the other. Harvard fired some more shots in the air, hitting some birds or whatever the hell was flying above them in order to get the driver's attention.

"STOP THE DAMN CAR YOU MISSED MY STOP! I SHOULDA USED AN UBER!"

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith just looked at the Kents in awe. There was obviously something wrong with all of them, she couldn't believe this was Elizabeth's solution. "This... is your plan?" she resisted the urge to just leave then, but she followed the woman in. That turned out to be a mistake, as it didn't get any less irritating.

The woman looked like Elizabeth, but referred to her as an evil clone? This was too much. Then Elizabeth finally spoke up, immediately spilling her secret and asking these people for their blood. The vampire stood up. "I don't remember ever sharing a reluctance to hunt." Truth is, she'd prefer finding a homeless person than feeding on these people who were obviously troubled. She did have standards after all. "Nor do I remember agreeing for you to tell everyone you meet about me. I do not require your charity, I can fend for myself."

She held her arms out to her sides and shifted forms again, turning back into a cloud of mist and hurrying out the door. She deal with Elizabeth's big mouth later, she had other things to take care of first.

"Plan? What plan?" Julian looked up at Aestus worriedly. He seemed like a competent guy, but he was young and passionate and young, passionate guys seemed to always have wild, out-of-this world plans to get out of sticky situations. She just hoped it wouldn't be too death-defying.

Until he told them about using his axe, aka the thing they were riding on and pulling up next to Teru that she realized they were going to jump vehicles. Julian inhaled deeply, trying not to freak out. It was either this or get killed by the roller beast or the drones. And jumping cars was definitely less dangerous.

"Alright. What can I do to help, Aestus?"

The Shape of the Nightmare to Come
Martius, Maverick, Nalora, and Arven
Small Magellanic Cloud

Martius' plan to turn the feral Hive ships against the newly arrived metallic swarm ships fortunately worked just as intended, and as fighter and bombers from their allies replicated the plan to drag more and more feral Hive ships into the fray, the foe's powerful beam weapons began to fall silent. Nalora breathed a sigh of relief when Martius reported in that the enemy's advanced vessels had been destroyed, but knew that she had no time to celebrate; more reinforcements began to pour in on both sides, and it looked as though the battle might well drag on forever if Admiral Josen couldn't fire his superweapon soon. Fortunately, a message came in from their allies informing them that the weapon was nearly charged, and requesting that they help provide covering fire for their flagship until the weapon was ready to fire.

Not wanting to potentially leave a gap in their lines that the enemy could exploit, Nalora left the bulk of her fleet in their current location near the battered Ensari forces and proceeded with her flagship and two Venators near to their ally's flagship to help provide covering fire. As the Victory maneuvered through the chaotic battlefield, Nalora contacted Martius and stated: "Good work taking out those new ships General, but I'm afraid the battle's not over yet. Admiral Josen's people have requested that we help cover their flagship while its main weapon charges; I recommend you and your squadrons pull back to the flagship's location to repel enemy fighters until the weapon is ready. We're uploading the ship's coordinates to you now."

As the new coordinates were displayed on his fighter's HUD, Martius replied: "Acknowledged Nalora, we'll head to that location now" and flew rapidly alongside his squadrons towards Josen's flagship, hoping their new ally's weapon would be able to finally bring the battle to a close...

Secrets of the Raven

When Lilith spoke the witch knew she fucked up. She suspected that Lilith wasn't going to like her revealing the truth but after what happened the last time she was involved with the family she couldn't afford to lie to them again, not after she was almost killed the last time she was against them.

Yet Lilith leaving the place after she made it clear she wasn't going to feed from a family of apparent crazies made the woman try to catch her but she quickly turn into a puff of mist before she can say a word. "Oh for fuck sakes. Why can't I catch a bloody break just for once in this horrid day?" The witch complained. Elizabeth got up and ran out the door to follow the mist.

The time she spent chasing the mist would end with her outside of the pub, looking up at the roof where Lilith was now at. "Are you freaking kidding me?" Elizabeth couldn't get up in the roof as only the staff had the key and she wasn't going to risk being caught by the security cameras. "I'll wait until she comes back to me, she herself admitted that she needs to stay close fo me in this world." Elizabeth walked back inside and went to the bar counter to order a drink, feeling that she gonna need it for the day she is going to have.

Rise of the Masked Man

New Bark Town
Gold turned to Link as the group walked.
"Oh, Team Rocket is an organized crime group. They tend to do all kinds of crime for profit, and have a lot of fronts, like car washes and stuff, that allow them to launder money. In the last decade or so, a lot has happened to break the group up, so some of the group has taken a bit more of a... Radical approach."

"Yeah, that would be those masked Neo-Rocket assholes we fought." Ty said, his words heating up with anger. "It seems like they're more focused on power than money."

Soon enough, the group stumbled across a couple of hikers, who didn't seem to recognize Gold and Ty.

This is fuckin' weird... Ty thought to himself. I'm not getting good vibes from this at all. It looks like Team Rocket's sent a couple of their guys out to greet us.

He turned to Gold, and could tell that both of them were thinking the same thing.
"Yo, we're the champions of Johto." Gold said. "You can call me Gold, and this is Ty. Nice to meet you."

Gold stepped forward, extending his hand for a handshake, smiling.
"You two wouldn't happen to know anything regarding Pokemon going missing in this part of the region, would you?"

Wow, that was really fuckin' on the nose. Ty mused to himself, holding back laughter.

Courtroom
The judge turned to Madison, with a frustrated expression.
"The time will come to give your testimony. You should refrain from further outbursts, young lady."

During Avarice's impassioned speech, the entire room was silent; The prosecutor was silent mainly out of shock, before giving a response.

"Objection! Misquoting the Law. Franz v the Kioleth Gang is not a real case, and we could spend years looking through past cases to try to find a similar case."

The judge thought for a moment.
"The jury will disregard Ms. Famei's statement regarding a past case, though her logic still stands."

The prosecutor then responded to Avarice's argument as a whole.
"She claims that she was worried for her safety, but her actions regarding the man she ate clearly state otherwise. I bring forward my first piece of evidence: The autopsy report conducted on the man."

The bailiff took a thin stack of papers from a table in the center of the courtroom, and handed them to the judge.
"According to the report, the victim had been mauled to death, and several parts of the body were missing from the scene. Estimates of the time it would take to create this much damage to an individual are in the range of thirty to forty seconds; If the defendant were truly worried about her safety from the group the victim was with, then she certainly would not have spent such a long time on only one person; With this timeframe, it is clear that she was not fighting in defense, but attacked this man not with the intent to defend herself, but specifically to eat him."

There was a low hum as the jury murmured to themselves, before the prosecutor continued.
"Much of Ms. Famei's argument also rests on her ignorance of the law, and inexperience in worldly affairs. Neither of these hold any merit. Ignorantia legis neminem excusat! Ignorance of the law does not forgive defiance of the law.

And as John Ramond v the People of Pallet Town has solidified, lack of worldly knowledge is also no excuse. If a stupid person commits a crime, they have still committed a crime. Further, it is very clear that Ms. Famei is not a child, and her speech just now has very much proven that she does not possess the mentality of one, either."

The prosecutor turned to the defense for a brief moment, continuing.
"There is no excuse for Ms. Famei to use, to have avoided prosecution for any crime committed. And further, despite the aggressive actions of the victim against the defendant prior to Ms. Famei's actions, she did not perform her actions with legal intent; It is very clear, from her focus on continuing to eat her victim rather than attempt defense from the others in his group, that her actions stemmed from criminal intent."

Drawn Through the Multiverse
Wilfre watched as a strange girl in a military outfit, who up until now was presumed to be part of the group, stepped forward and offered her services.

Wilfre had not expected this. At all.

The corrupted Raposa looked towards Altair, nodding.
"If you wish to aid me, then you may. I had a glimpse of an interesting place while I was studying the rifts. This being said, we should move quickly. I'm not sure how long we will have for this world."

Wilfre created a portal using his scepter, beckoning his clown friend to follow through.
"The time has not come for something 'active,' but it will soon enough. I will explain when we arrive."

He created another portal on the ground, for Altair, if she so chose. It was impossible to see what was on the other side of the portal, as the inside appeared pitch black.

Soon, Wilfre had left, and the wasteland grew quiet.

Tadayoshi looked at the spot where the portal had been.
"Well, shit." he muttered. "Now wh-"

His thoughts were interrupted, as another rift opened up, spitting out two strange looking fighter craft. The two planes tumbled to the ground, barely recovering fast enough to make a crash landing.

Kongou turned to the group, having analyzed the crash.
"There were two lifeforms, one in each craft. We should check on them."

Tadayoshi, Kongou, and Maya rushed to the crash site, not too far from where the group had killed the scorpion, to find two anthropomorphic animals climbing out of the cockpits of the strange jet fighters. One, a lynx with a rather grouchy expression, the other, a white dog with a red bow behind her ears, in a somewhat dazed state.

The two of them wore compressive flight suits and headsets with a single-eye AR scanner. They seemed to argue in a strange, rythmic language, before noticing the group of heroes. The dog seemed to perk up, tail wagging. She approached the group, waving her hand and speaking with a sing-songish tone.

Kongou tilted her head slightly, trying to analyze the language the two spoke.
"Their language is indecipherable. I don't know any language that matches it." she said, confused.

The lynx called out to the dog, nodding her head upwards; Unlike before, the group would easily be able to understand what she said.
"It sounds like they speak English." she said, with some interest.

The easily-excitable dog turned to her friend, nodding.
"Oh! Right, humans, English, duh. Got it." she said, slightly embarrassed, as if she forgot something simple.

She then turned back to the group.
"Hello! I'm Fay Spaniel, and this is Miyu Lynx. Could you tell us where we are? We've, um, gotten lost, it seems."

Secrets of the Raven
Agent A turned the magical ID card over his his hands a few times, skeptical of the charm placed on it, but not questioning it. He also received all kinds of electronic gadgets, bugs, wire taps, a new phone, a new laptop, etc.

It really was shocking how quickly they entrusted him with a mission critical to their group, but Agent A certainly wasn't complaining.

Agent A thought about asking for compensation, but had second thoughts, considering the kind of situation he was in.
I shouldn't push my luck too much, considering I'm in such a foreign world...

However, it seems that this group had already thought of this, and handed him an envelope with money in it.

"...No, I don't believe there are any issues. I look forward to this assignment." Mr. Pershing stated.

Soon enough, he was in the hotel room. Agent A set up the laptop on a table, and opened up a private filesharing program, syncing it with the new phone the group had given him. He then set the phone to record from its microphone if the screen lock button was pressed three times, so that he could easily record his interactions with anyone on a whim, and have the data transferred in real time to the laptop; This took some time, however, as the phone didn't naturally have a setting for this, forcing the man to mess around with the phone's functions and programming.

The man then looked through some of the files on the computer, skimming over the contents; This included a short report on the Elizabeth Ashwood that he was tasked with following.

A plan began forming in Agent A's mind, of how he could easily follow the status of her investigation; It was as if the plan had been served to him on a silver platter from God himself.

This seems... Too easy. All of the necessary work has been done beforehand... the man thought to himself.

He sighed, getting up from the desk. He walked his way to the Drinking Crow; He figured that Elizabeth would be there. The report on her stated that she liked to drink quite a lot, and that she frequented the bar in question. The man walked up to the bar, and sat in one of the stools.

"Jack and a coke," Agent A requested, with a slight smile. "And a menu, please."

Now let's just hope this Ashwood doesn't sense anything off about me, the way that John had.

Agent A sat, looking up at a television. He figured it wouldn't be too long before Elizabeth made her way to the bar, and he certainly had time on his hands.

Empty Wallets
Teru watched as Aestus took off with the others on his... Was that an axe?

This day certainly was weird.

Teru gunned it, following the others down the road; Eventually, the drones following the group seemed to grow in number, and began shooting at them with machine guns.

What...? Teru wondered to himself, eyes widening, as a message came onto the giant electronic billboards lining the city. They're trying to make this a game show?

Teru kept driving straight, without much choice in the matter, as a huge roller-compactor began following them... And was somehow keeping up with them, despite its weight and size.

"What!?" he blurted out, in utter disbelief. "...This is like something out of a manga I read a while back..."

Soon enough, Aestus flew next to Teru's car, intending to transfer the people with him to the car. Certainly a dangerous maneuver, but not impossible by any means.

Teru rolled the windows down, and tried his best to keep the car as straight as possible; Difficult when being shot at by drones and chased by a road roller capable of ranking in Indy 500.

"How are you going to stop the roller?" Teru asked Aestus. "Do you think it's automated like the drones up there?"

DTTM
Belial IV

The sound of laser fire and gibbering daemons filled the normally barren and silent world of Belial IV, as the Ynnari fought to recover another of the Crone Swords; blades that have the power to awaken Ynnead, the Eldar god of the dead. His power lies dormant within the Infinity Circuits of ever craftworld, the glory of the death god lying in wait for vengeance against Slaanesh. Fashioned by Vaul from the fingers of Morai-Heg’s severed hand, they were potent indeed. Daemons cower in fear on the mention of their name alone, and when the blade falls, none can escape death.

In the midst of the battle, the famed Eldrad Ulthran, saviour of the Eldar race, Chief Farseer of Ulthwe the Damned and the archmanipulator that watches the strands of fate intertwine, fought alongside Kysaduras the Anchorite. Beside them were several more Eldar warriors; Biel-Tani Dire Avengers and Howling Banshees, Iyandeni Wraithguard, Yme-Loc grav-tanks, and Ulthwean seers just to name a few. Eldrad blasted the haunted daemons of Slaanesh to pink paste with his supreme psychic power, shunting them away with but a thought and frying them with warp lightning. As the battle raged, Eldrad interpreted the runes around him, peeking into the future just as a Farseer always does. But as the runes spun in Eldrad’s Foresight, the Rune of Isolation came forth. The Farseer would be crossed by a string of doubt as he wondered for a split second what it meant. However, a gigantic Warp rift appeared, swallowing the Chief Farseer and some of his attendants.

As Eldrad and his attendants cascaded throught the maddening currents of the Warp, Slaaneshi daemons would appear, intent on devouring their souls. Just as the hedonistic cavalcade of daemons could lay a finger in the Eldar, did they slam right through the walls of reality. The daemons tried to chase them in their hunger, but as the reach of the Warp faded, they faded away and became nothing.

On and on they crashed and fell. After what felt like an eternity, they fell on solid ground at last. Eldrad would be the first to stand, only to see a party of strange individuals right in front of them. There was this blond woman… no, Artificial Intelligence with a casual attire, a pink blob creature, another AI with a red dress, some other random humans, and… a Space Marine of the Lamenters Chapter? This is certainly interesting, but as the other Eldar stood up, they immediately pointed their weapons at the Space Marine and, strangely, at Kirby, probably because he resembled a Tzeentchian demon. However, Eldrad telepathically ordered them to stand down as he sensed the power within Kongou and Maya. They are no ordinary AI’s, not like the ones that destroyed the human civilisation long ago. Eldrad thus spoke,

“I am Eldrad Ultheran, Chief Farseer of Craftworld Ulthwe. May you tell us where we are?”, Eldrad said as he avoided the term mon’keigh in order not to immediately anger them. “It appears we are lost.”

Secrets of the Raven
Despite the confusion that the Kents faced following the sudden departure of Elizabeth and Lilith, it did not detere the family from finding humor in the situation, and they watched Lilith disappear into mist in amazement. Despite that, they were unable to see Lilith flee onto the rooftop, so instead they focused their efforts onto pestering Elizabeth...again.

As the frustrated mage got used to her seat in the bar, she would soon realize that the Kents had followed her down there. She was greeted by the sight of the exceptionally cheery family, though Skylar still looked like a mirror image of Elizabeth. "There you are love!" She said with a bright smile on her face.

"These last two days have been utterly exciting!" Simon exclaimed. "Mysterious muggers, a supernatural hunter, rifts in the space time continuum, vampires, magical girls with oddly colored hair that is surprisingly fashionable, while this town may seem homely and quaint, which it is, it is absolutely bursting with excitement and adventure!"

Meanwhile, Skylar was inspecting her body, more specifically the tattoos she has gained. "Hmm, these are excellent tattoos, but tattoos aren't my style I'm afraid. I prefer my skin the way it is." And in the blink of an eye, Elizabeth would notice the tattoos on Skylar's body vanish.

"You're a bit pale to, but that's nothing little sunlight can't fix!"

Elizabeth would watch as the paleness in her doppelgänger disappear, replaced with the same skin tone that Skylar had. "Maybe do some of the workout routines I do..." the muscles around Skylar's body, mostly her abs and limbs, seemed to suddenly have undergone the workout regime Skylar had subjected herself to for years. Elizabeth looked much different l, instead of being rather thin, she had a similar muscular body type to Skylar's. "And your hair is a bit messy..." and once again, Skylar altered her appearance, this time gaining long, flowing, wavy hair. "There we go!" Skylar said, looking away from the mirror she was using to gaze at herself with to turn towards Elizabeth. "What do you think?"

Regardless of Elizabeth's answer, Skylar quickly changed her look back to looking like an exact mirror of Elizabeth, pale skin, tattoos, and unkept hair. Though unfortunately Skylar couldn't accurately capture Elizabeth's utter frustration and broodiness.

"Now I know you would have wound up coming back to us for help again." Hope interjected. "Since you coming after us seems to be your hobby as of late, but that's not a problem at all, we love interaction! Now then, we would have loved to help your vampiric friend, after all, me and my dad are blood donors! Sure, this time it's a bit more spontaneous and slightly less sanitary, but sometimes you simply must be willing to do what's right, no matter the slight risk of an oral infection!"

"So it would be absolutely lovely if we could officially join this investigation, and by investigation, i mean the tracking down of your starving, recently acquired vampire friend!" Simon said. "We wil hunt her down, hold her down, and put our necks directly against her teeth if we have to !" He said with a determined vigor and a shake of his fist as he looked towards the ceiling, once again in determination.

"Your lips are chapped..."Skylar said, once again looking at the mirror.

"We are on a mission from God!" Hope declared. "We will come to the bottom of this mystery, not if it's the last thing we do, because I am certain that we will live long lived as we celebrate our victory, but we will come to the bottom of the mystery if it is the first, second, fifth, or hundredth thing to do!" She declared, matching Simon's first shaking, passionate tone, and determined look. It was very easy to tell they were father and daughter.

"And that menas we get to interact with you more!" Skylar cut in suddenly. A terrified Elizabeth would notice she was surrounded on all sides by the Kents, who were grinning wickedly from ear to ear. "It will he wonderful!" She wrapped one arm aprons Elizabeth, pulling her close against her, and pressing Elizabeth's cheeks against hers, though Skylar didn't seem to mind the close contact. She extended her arm forward as if she was showing Elizabeth something. "Think of the wonderful time we'll have on this adventure!" She said, this time in a much quieter, and for some odd reason, a tone of awe voice.

She suddenly let go of Elizabeth, grabbing onto her shoulders and both hands, looking her directly in the eyes, the contrast between the two even more obvious, as Skylar looked far too excited and happy to ever accurately pass for Elizabeth. "What do you say to that?" It was a question, though it sounded more like a declaration. Skylar's enthusiasm was absolutely infectious, though whether or not the enthusiasm would react violently with Elizabeth's built in broodinesd was yet to be discovered.

Secrets of the Raven

The victim was quite the artist. The walls were covered in surreal, dream-like landscapes. It was ironic, considering she took dream suppressants. The strange quality of the artwork wasn't quite what Trevor was used to in his home world, but as long as they didn't fly off the walls and attack him, he'll be fine. Lamar followed him, still bickering with his friend. After hearing the two nonstop for the past few hours, the huntsman finally broke his silence.

"Are you two going to do anything other than shout and bicker?" Trevor asked softly but intensely. "I'm trying to investigate here, something I'd much rather not be doing, because what I should be doing is slaying a vampire in a castle!"

He sighed, rubbed his hand down his face, and turned back around. He should've had more to drink before leaving. There was some strange apparatus on the girl's desk, something that unfortunately would require either Lamar or Ryder to operate. "If either of you would be so kind as to operate that... thing, whatever it is" Since they were nearby, Trevor started with quickly flipping through the school books that were on the table at the center of the room.
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!
Have at you!

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith heard Elizabeth swearing down below, but didn't respond since it seemed she wasn't going to follow her. The vampire knelt down at the edge of the roof, looking out over the city to get an idea of where to go. She glanced upwards a little, the sun having been covered by clouds. "At least that helps." she said to herself. She debated on what her next move should be. Feeding would be nice, but she also wanted to get in from the light. She spotted an old building nearby that looked like it would be suitable for her. She transformed back into mist and headed for it, slipping into the attic through the chimney.

When inside, the woman changed forms to a common noctule bat, and latched onto one of the beams on the roof. This will do for now. she thought. She would worry about finding blood after the sun went down. It would be easier too, as there would be fewer people around to risk being caught. The bat wrapped itself up in its wings, and drifted to sleep in the darkness.

Secrets of the Raven

"Oh God, why did they follow me?" the occultist thought as the Kents approached her seat while she drank her beer, still miffed that Skylar was still in her form. When the woman practically shouted about how she found the two days in the town excited the witch slam down her glass. "Can you please not tell to the world that there is a hidden world, most of us from the other side don't want it being exposed." The witch told her as she order for a refill.

When she got a new fill of ale the witch choose to drink at the exact time Skylar choose to change round with her form in an instant, startling the witch with the sudden transformation and making the alcohol travel down the wrong path, making the witch cough loudly as she tried not choke on her drink. "Bloody hell don't do that!" She said between each cough, banging on her chest.

Once she was sure she wasn't going to choke on her drink she looked at her altered reflection. Elizabeth wasn't quite sure to say on it, it wasn't bad but it was just strange seeing her look so drastically different. If it wasn't for the clothing, facial shape, hair and eye color, and voice she would have thought the woman was someone else different. "Your a poor simulacra of me. But I prefer that form over you looking like an almost perfect copy of me." Sadly for the dark mage Skylar changed back to looking like her identical twin.

When the family declared that they would join her Elizabeth slapped the palm of her hand on her face, sliding it down. "What part of wanting to keep the supernatural a secret you people can't understand?" She said, almost coming out as a hiss as her frustration was reaching its boiling point. When Skylar put her arms around her and pressed her cheek on her the mage looked as though she was close to biting the wraith or try at the least.

When they all said they would join her a look of horror appeared on Elizabeth's face before she look down at the floor, her hair covering her eyes. "Is this karmic retribution for everything I have ever done?" yet the witch wasn't given enough to time to think whether her current predicament was the result of divine providence or dumb luck as Elizabeth grabbed her shoulders and pulled her so she was staring at her eyes, declaring that they were going to go on another adventure together.

The witch looked at her with mild surprise before changing to a more cold and detached to expression. "The last time we were on an adventure you lied to me and put my life in danger with a reaper. Give me a good reason why I shouldn't file a restraining order on you three?" While she tried to keep her tone calm it was clear there was much anger behind it.

Elizabeth was so preoccupied by the Kent's that she didn't sense the arrival of Agent A. Than again, his soulless nature made him almost invisible to her senses, she would need to either be close to him or see him in order to sense something off with him. The bar tender served his drink and gave Agent A a menu. The spy would see a group of men carrying away pieces of a carpet and for a few seconds caught the whiff of a terrible odor, vanishing as soon as the carpet was gone. "Sorry about that." The dyed red head said. "Someone spilled some disgusting stuff on the carpet floors on the third floor for a dumb joke. It will be gone soon." She told Agent A.
-----

As Trevor flips through the books he would find they all deal in subjects that quite frankly are beyond what he knows about the world due to the level of education a man from his world is able to receive. Yet he notice that some of them dealt with art and something called photography. Yet he would find books on other subjects like mathematics and something called language arts along with college survival. Of the books he would find one book that seems out of place, one dealing with dreams.

Looking at the book it would talk about the nature of dreams and possibilities of what creates them, ranging from the scientific to the mystical. The book even talks about possible meanings dreams can have and how one can even try to control them. One instruction from the book is to create something called a dream journal in which one writes down what they dreamt, supposedly it would help improve ones memories on their dreams and assist in the process of allow one to control their dreams. The book suggests on keeping the journal close, either next to the bed or under one's pillow.

Rise of the Masked Man | Avarice

Well, wasn't that predictable? They didn't accept her made-up case. Should she have avoided giving the case a name? Should she have tried a different tactic? Intimidation worked but in a courtroom it'd probably just get more charges levied against herself. Things were going sideways and the prosecution was smart. Patterns! Yes, patterns existed throughout universes. What about a trial by combat? No! They should burn her at the stake and hope that God redeemed her soul! What about pleading guilty and hoping the sentence was execution, sans the "until death" clause? No! None of those things would work! This universe operated by different rules. If she wanted to win this battle, Avarice would need to adapt; fast.

Audrey slammed her fist on the table, standing straight and momentarily baring bloodstained teeth.

"Your honour! The prosecution obviously does not understand the brunt of my lawyer's argument! Our claims are that laws cannot apply to me due to my status as both a non-human! I bring up the analogy of an extraterrestrial. Would you subject an alien to your laws if they were to land on your planet with no knowledge of its customs or your intelligence? You have my medical records by now. My genetic makeup is little more than jumbled amino acids. I have one malformed lung, no intestines, a bundle of hearts like tiny crimson grapes and no circulatory system. My blood just sits around in my body, waiting to bleed."

Avarice looked about, eyeing up her opposition. Predatory but restricted. Threatening but not to the point where anyone could accuse her of being so. She looked down and opened her mouth, her body rising and falling to the beat of her heart. Slowly, she reached into her mouth with her thumb and forefinger; extracting several lumps of mutilated flesh.

"Your honour, I submit this piece of evidence. The partially eaten corpse of Thomas Erikson. Look at the state of the body! As you can see the flesh has been entirely rendered from his bones. The autopsy report claims that I took almost half a minute to rip him apart when examination of this flesh would confirm that the flesh I consumed was almost entirely composed of vital organs and nervous tissue. Who is to say that my consumption of the man was not a tactical move?"

"Furthermore, the purpose of eating the man was to provide me the necessary abilities to defend myself and my compatriots. Consumption of matter, especially conceptually charged matter such as living things, grants me extraordinary regenerative properties. It was an integral part of my plan of action. To say that I should have impaired my defensive capabilities in the face of deadly force is ridiculous. I refute the accusation that I went out of my way to consume the man for no reason."

Avarice stared across the room at Wright.

"Your turn, dude. Call up a witness. I want them to know just how much of a threat I was facing."

Secrets of the Raven|The Kents
As a very annoyed Elizabeth began to question the Kents why she shouldn't fail a restraining order against them, they grinned rather wickedly before dragging Elizabeth outside into the alley. "It's much more private, we wouldn't want to expose all of your deep dark secrets to the world!" Hope explained on their way over there.

"You did bring up a valid point Elizabeth, why shouldn't you file a restraining order against us?" Simon questioned, his mind deep in thought as he struck the pose of a thinker.

"Well for one, I'm dead!" Skylar began.

"It is quite difficult to file a restraining order against a ghost." Simon nodded solemnly.

"Two", Hope suddenly started. "We're American Tourists! We're constantly on the move! In fact, had you not chosen to break into our car last night, it's very possible we might have already left town, so we wouldn't be here talking to you! How awful that would be!"

"Third, you'd have to risk exposing the supernatural world in the highly unlikely event you plan to file a restraining order against us." Skylar finished. "And in the end, my husband and daughter are much better with people than you are." She smiled.

"Also!" Hope interjected. "You've come to us first in literally all the major interactions we've had! Breaking into our car-well attempted breaking into-trying to help us find our Ghost Mom after you had her banished,, you ran into the parking lot when we were going to drift off, and right now you came to us!"

"And don't blame us for the Reaper, that was your fault." Skylar added. "You didn't summon it, but you hired "a bloke" who did. He got agitated because I was defending myself. You could have just asked us nicely and we probably would have given it you." She said, not sounding disappointed, almost...happy about the turn of events.

"Really you're the one making things difficult." Simon nodded along. "And the only reason you helped us out was because we had the device. Really, you've gone after us multiple times for help, and you have not thanked us once!" He proclaimed. "Not even for the hot chocolate with marshmallows! It's very rude of you." The last part came out much more calmly than the rest of his sentences.

"Absolutely rude of you." Hope agreed, nodding her head.

"Well there you have it Lizzie", Skylar cut in. "The people have reached a verdict, they declare you guilty of being rude. You're quite awful at court, which is once again another reason against attempting to file a restraining order against us!" She declared with a smirk. The entire time she had been changing her appearance from a mirror image of Elizabeth, to the more tanned, toned, and long haired Elizabeth, to her usual tall, blonde self.

"Now then!" Simon called out as the trial of the century ended with a swift unanimous verdict of Elizabeth being rude. "We are willing to forgive you for your transgressions against us, after all, you're only a single person with a lot of problems and stress on their part!" He said, smiling in a comforting manner as he patted her shoulder. "But we are still a part of this investigation now, and if you're not okay with that, too bad! I guess you'll just have a Rogue Wraith with two naive humans going on their own investigation. Surely nothing bad will happen!"

"And if something bad does happen, you can always hire a Reaper to go after me again!" Skylar added, briefly flashing Elizabeth the image of herself on the day she died, blood stained clothes and obvious tears on her face in all of its melancholic glory.

"While that does sound like quite the fun family adventure..."Hope began. "I am positive that Elizabeth would prefer to working alongside us, after all, who wouldn't?" She smiled brightly and innocently, absolutely self aware of how irrefutably infuriating she was, but also fully aware of that she was getting away with it.

"Now then Lizzie, you're be going to let us join in on this investigation. We can do this the easy way, or the easy way." Now it was Skylar speaking again. "So once again Elizabeth, what do you say?!" Skylar said with a wide grin as she stuck her hand out towards Elizabeth.

"Also, what's your last name?" Hope questioned. "We have a thing where we call people by their full names when we see them, we'd love to do that to you!"

"And once that does happen, the bond of friendship will have been rendered fully complete!" Simon declared. "With the four of us working together, there is absolutely nothing in this town that can stop us from discovering the depth of its secrets! Nothing!"

"Nothing expect for a short, pale, tattooed broody investigator who chooses to be absolutely rude", Skylar teased. "For no reason whatsoever, and doesn't allow an enthusiastic family trio of investigators to help her on her mysterious quest!"

Rise of the Masked Man

Wright gulped when the judge and prosecution tore Audrey for a case that was made up in this world, being grateful that the judge seem to side with the spirit of her argument to somewhat let the fake case slide for now. As Audrey spoke Phoenix began to scratch his thin as he thought of his next plan. The prosecutor he was facing against was a slimy bastard but he was clever and slick, using what the evidence present to paint the narrative he wants and plead to the jury's emotions and empathy towards their fellow man to make them take his side of the story. A very good play that Phoenix had to begrudgingly admit. "Sadly for you I have been in business long enough to see opportunities when presented to me." The lawyer now as an idea in his head.

In Phoenix's mind this was now the perfect time to use the Castle's Doctrine. Phoenix stood up and began to speak to the jury and judge.

"The prosecution isn't lying that my client did devour that man and I still stand by my clients statement that she was doing what she can to survivor. But what the prosecution refuses to admit was that the victim was a member of Team Rocket, a known criminal syndicate charged for many crimes but most infamously crimes related to both the theft of and endangerment of pokemon, both wild and trained, the latter of which also brings danger to the trainers." The lawyer stated, giving the prosecution a taste of their own medicine.

"There are many more crimes they are responsible for but one pertaining to this trial is them using their own pokemon to attack anyone who they feel is standing in their way. My client had every right to defend herself to the best of her ability your honor because if she didn't than the victim would be standing by the prosecution's side, while Ms. Famei would be in the corners with the other bodies." He looked at the jury.

"My client alone wasn't the only one who was threatened by Team Rocket. She was staying in a tent own by a trainer name Gold when Team Rocket attacked them with the intent on stealing the group's pokemon. My client was well within her rights to defend herself against hostile intruders." He explained to the court.

Empty Wallet

Hex and the others followed with the group, the squad leader moving ahead due to her motorbike. Hex looked around and while she wish she can take our the road roller she wish to converse on the team's explosives. "Faust, Conman, Trick. You three try to shoot down as much drones as you can. Jinx, hack to the computer network and try to find a way for us out of this mess." he team agreed with the orders.

The back door of the van open and Faust began to open fire on her minigun at some of the drones before she turn down on the roller itself. Conman and Trick focus their shoots at the drones with the sniper now cloak and sometimes trying to fire on the gauss turrets when presented with the opportunity to do so. In the van Jinx was using her modified tablet to try and get into the city's computer systems to gather any useful information that could get the group away from the road roller and from the drones.

Moira and Percy - RotMM

The hunting duo listened to Gold's description of what Team Rocket was, and both were concerned to say the least. After the group stumbled across the hikers, both hunters could tell that both Gold and Ty were cautious about them, and they both got ready to draw their weapons just in case things got hairy.

Kirby and Advrick - DttM

Kirby was immediately on edge when Altair announced her intentions about helping Wilfre, whilst Advrick rose an eyebrow at the display. Ooh... This one is interesting. The elf thought, his smirk never leaving his painted face. Then Wilfre beckoned Advrick to follow him, and part of him was disappointed at not being able to play with the "heroes" for a bit, but with a sigh he started after him. "Farewell little children! I hope to see you soon..." Advrick said, chortling afterward and then vanishing.

Kirby scowled, and then he looked over to where the aircraft crashed. He ran after the group, and then looked at the two animal-creatures with fascination. He then smiled at the two of them and waved, his pointy hat with a ribbon still on his head.

Plague Knight - Respite

Plague Knight let out a surprised yelp when the swordsman charged him, and then he jumped up and over him before he could strike. He then landed behind him, and with a wave of crazed laughter he tossed three bombs at him. Then Plague Knight looked at the man who insisted he put his bombs down, and in his shrill voice he said: "Hee! I don't think so! This guy's trying to kill me! You might try to - Hee! - KILL ME TOO!" Plague Knight then primed a Cluster bomb, and then tossed it at the swordsman. Once it landed, the bomb would expload in a series of smaller explosions that would be quite difficult to avoid completely.

Secrets of the Raven

"Hey, where the hell are you people taking me!?" The witch shouted as the Kents began to drag her out of the bar. Elizabeth at this point didn't care too much about causing a scene as she began to struggle and shout out both demands to be let go and curses at the family. While everyone in the bar watched the spectacle none got in the way as they were clueless in what was happening and didn't know how to respond to the scene, expect for a few that took out their phones to record the event to share to their friends on social media sites.

Outside of the bar and now in a dingy alleyway the witch crossed her arms in front of her chest as she gave the southern family a heated glare as they began to tell her why she plan on making a restraining order against them will fail. "Fuck. I don't want to admit it but they have me in a tough bind. I can't get a restraining order in the conventional way without exposing the secret world." the mage thought, begrudgingly admitting that the family manage to destroy her plan.

But Elizabeth was too proud to admit defeat that easily, even as they point out that she started all of the major interactions. When the mock trial was done Elizabeth said. "I refuse to listen to the verdict of an imaginary, kangaroo, court that is steep in insanity and nepotism. Second almost every bloody building in this town has some secret to them so I doubt anyone can solve all of the secrets to this town, besides I'm only focus on one secret and that is the one killing people right now." She told the family.

"As for letting you people join my group? The fact that you so casually started talking about supernatural adventures in a crowded place is a major reason why I shouldn't let you people join. Back when I was trying to get the soul catcher and warned you all about what could happen if you didn't give it to me you all treated the whole thing like a game." Her tone became more grim as she spoke.

"If you keep that attitude than you will die and trust me when I say that the people who operate in the circles I travel have ways on making deaths excruciating and how to either cover them up well or just make you three disappear. There is a major rule when it comes to people from the secret world and us to maintain said secrecy. Most are willing to do anything to maintain the facade that nothing supernatural is going on and they will not hesitate 9n murdering not only you three but anyone who knows you and who you love if they can't reach you directly, the lives of innocent civilians means nothing to these people." The witch warned, staying silent to see their reaction to her warning.

Empty Wallets, Kirika Kure
New York Administration District

Kirika kept up with the chase, jumping from roof to roof as hails of bullets rained down on the streets below. This place was supposed to be lightly defended! Ah hell, enough thinking about that. Where these drones came from wasn't her problem. Indeed, they just made her job easier so if anything, she was thankful! So thankful in fact, that she was going to continue tailing the newcomers from her perch up above, completely safe even as return fire brought down Drone after Drone. Alas, even if the Drone's numbers were being thinned, a stark contrast to Cassius' wildly inflating numbers, that didn't do anything to stop the giant Road Roller that was quickly gaining on the convoy of stolen vehicles. Despite its size, the behemoth was surprisingly quick.

Meanwhile, Jinx's attempts to hack the computer systems of the area was going surprisingly smoothly. It was almost like the firewalls and other such defenses were breached already. So much so in fact, that before she would even finish her attempt at shutting the Road Roller and the Drones down, the world came to a crashing halt.

The stolen vehicles and the road roller gradually slowed down, until they suddenly stopped, their engines dead. Likewise, what few Drones that remained fell from the sky like metal flies, and the lights and electronics of the local area died of their own volition.

"My, you've caused quite a ruckus." A voice, feminine, young, and calm for what just happened, spoke from the stolen vehicles' speakers. "And this particular trick of mine won't be something I'll be capable of repeating," The silence was soon broken by the sound of blades rapidly cutting through the air, the source soon revealing itself in the form of a VTOL Aircraft the size of a private plane descending from the clouds, it's bay door open, and a purple haired figure standing triumphantly at the entrance. "So I suggest you come with me if you want to live." The aircraft was at ground level now, all but welcoming the newcomers into the confines of the craft.

A Grand Adventure, Jeanne Tart
Wakanda, Birnin Zana

The armored soldiers were being driven back, that, Jeanne was sure of. The girl may not be a strategic or tactical genius, but she fought and observed enough battles to recognize a wavering battle line when she saw one, and the Sontars certainly counted as one. Better still, reinforcements had arrived in the form of a man covered in shadows, moving swiftly to and fro each enemy. He almost reminded Jeanne of Riz, and just like Riz, Jeanne would work with her newfound ally to the fullest extent possible.

"Viva la France!" With that shouted cry, and her sword raised to the sky, the girl rushed towards the remaining Sontars as they backed away to their ship, huddling ever closer towards one another and giving Jeanne an easier time to take them out.

Tales of Trebizond, Shut Hell
Empire of Trebizond, Hippodrome

The metallic beast of a man fell, dead from a thousand wounds and flesh burning away to reveal a even greater monstrosity. The bandit grimaced at the sight, using her arms to shield her eyes from the blood and heat. She had been part of many bloodbaths and battles, but none of them had quite as spectacular of an end as this one.

Shut Hell turned her eyes to the seated emperor and his retinue, scowling with a expression that made man's blood run cold, as she flicked her blades theatrically to rid them of blood. It was clear to anyone that she had questions, inquiries that needed answers.

Secrets of the Raven
Elizabeth's increasing levels of frustration were completely useless, the Kents just couldn't be stopped.

As Elizabeth trashed talk the family court who had found her guilty of being rude, Skylar shook her head, a smile on her face as she made a "Tsk tsk tsk" type of sound as she shook her finger in a "No" manner. "Sorry Lizzie, you can't back out now once the court has decided your fate. It's illegal!"

"And really Elizabeth, you choose to react to your verdict by being rude? It's like a criminal punching the judge after being sentenced for assault!" Simon teased.

"Don't worry though, there is one simple punishment for your horrendous crimes." Hope began. "But it's hardly a punishment at all! Your punishment is, drum roll please...we have to join your team! It's practically an award, really, you know maybe you should be rude more often!"

Elizabeth was unimpressed with their demands to be allowed to join their group, but the trio was undeterred from their goal. "I'm afraid that isn't entirely negotiatable Elizabeth." Skylar said. "One way or another, we are embarking on a mystery quest. Granted, we don't have a clue on where we should look first, but that's where you come in!" She added cheerily. "And besides, I suppose I can just investigate myself, though I shouldn't use my face..." she suddenly shifted her form back to a mirror image of Elizabeth. "Perhaps I should take the form of a certain detective while I do this..."

Elizabeth then began to coldly explain that getting invovled was incredibly dangerous, and would likely end with their deaths. While the Kents had their full attention on Elizabeth, their casual smiles never left their faces, and an awkward silence ensued as Elizabeth finished speaking. After a few seconds, Hope asked "Wait, that's it? Oh that's not too bad."

"We're not afraid of death." Simon stated casually. "After all, we're traveling with a ghost. Now I'm sure it would be awful to die, but rest assured that if we do die horrible deaths, our first acts of spectral vengeance will be to haunt you."

"Besides," now Hope was talking again. "You severely underestimate us, we've gotten out of loads of bad situations much worse than this! Like back in our hometown, where we helped some of my friends stop a human trafficking ring run by the Mayor and an oil tycoon, and a supernatural hunter, he was kind of like you, just much more broody and evil."

"I wonder how they're doing..."Simon wondered out loud. "Everyone else back home.”

"Also some other tight spots we were in." Skylar added. "New Jersey, Detroit, that strange town in Alaska, Mexico City, that time you guys were captured by human traffickers in London and we survived a plane crash..."she was counting off her fingers as she spoke her memories out loud.

"That time we were attacked outside of town!" Simon chimed in.

"Anyway!" Skylar hastily cut him off. "We've been in lots and lots of incredibly dangerous situations, though I say the Reaper was the worst, but I managed to deal with him!" She beamed. "We know how to handle ourselves, but if we don't, just know that if we go off on our and die horribly, our deaths are on your hands and all three of will haunt you. And travel the world. Imagine the things we could see as ghosts! Like the Elephant's Foot in Chernobyl!"

"Elizabeth, while I fully enjoy this banter, just know that we can keep this up all day." He crossed his arms, but the smile on his face made it a causal act instead of an intimidating one. "You caneirher accept our help now, or we'll annoy you until this mystery is solved, and remember, you can't file a restraining order against us!"

"So once again, we extend our offer to join your investigation!" Hope declared.

"Besides, what's the worst we could do? We're helpful!" Skylar suddenly appeared behind Elizabeth. "I'm a ghost!"

"I can run ten miles without breaking a a sweat! I've kept track of how many miles I've ran, in terms of life distance I have ran halfway to the moon!" Simon added, obviously proud of himself.

"And I'm charming! No one will suspect me! I could be used as bait, because everyone thinks I'm an easy target. Well until Mom tears them apart, but that's hardly the point!"

"And finally..."Simon was speaking. Again. "We are excellent for morale, emotional support, and chearleading, then again all of us were cheerleaders at one point."

"It runs in the family!" Skylar said, warm, happy smile on her face as she looked at Simon as Hope. "But anyway, we're getting off track. While I'm sure that your perpetually broody attitude is perfect for investigating, this mission could use a more friendly approach! And to repeat what we've been saying for the past few minutes, please let us join the investigation." All of them turned on their puppy eyes, applying it to the maximum. "We really have nothing better to do, and neither do you! Well that's technically not true, but nontheless, the more the merrier, right?"

The Yamato
Azrael could feel the blood in her veins pump faster and faster, as she witnessed the destruction of the planet and the abominations attacking it. Frightening. Deafening. Exhilarating. Her pupils dilated as she started to feel the sheer terror and scale of what they were fighting, as well as the number of lives at stake.

Azrael has to take a minute to calm down before she turned to the officer.

“Sure.”

Empty Wallets
Julian lost her balance for a moment and nearly fell off the ray when the purple haired girl was talking to them from the aircraft hatch, but grabbed onto Jeff and managed to regain her balance. She sighed and looked at the man.

“Sorry about that.”

When the girl stated for them to come if they want to live, Julian seemed a bit hesitant, but relented as they had no choice. Being crushed by a giant roller wasn’t very fun after all.

“Hey Aestus, maybe we should go with her?”

Trebizond
Quetz stares ahead nonchalantly, even as blood spattered onto his face and soaked him. The serpent god turned to look at the emperor.

”So. Like what you see? Have we given you enough proof now?”

Secrets of the Raven

"Is this all a fucking joke to you people? Do you think this is some game?" The furious mage said as the family not only kept joking around with their mock trial but even made light of the supernatural world with their adventures. Obviously her warning failed to reach them which only aggravated the occultist more. "I said death was preferable you bloody idiots, there are far worse things that can happen. Some people could either keep you three as either personal slaves and fuck toys, your will bound to their commands until they discard you like trash." Their mention of dealing with human trafficking brought back memories of Elizabeth dealing with a similar option back when she was still new to her detective job, it's a memory she rather not think of along with many others.

"Some can turn your body into an eternal decaying prison as your sanity rots away along with your body, or they can devour your soul to gain power, knowledge, and extended life." The mage coldly explained three possible fates that could happen to them if they angered the wrong individuals and entities. Elizabeth has seen and heard of more horror stories of what happens to those that enrage the wrong powers or can't keep their mouth the existence of the paranormal. She has no interest on becoming a part of those stories, plus most members of her group are unaware how this world works and she rather not have them get screwed over.

"Also it isn't just your lives that are in danger, the rest of the group would be targeted if you people screw around and I rather not have them suffer for someone else's mistake nor myself for that matter." She told the trio as she took out a cigarette and lit it, feeling somewhat better after taking the first drag from it. "Stopping human evil is all good and all but I have dealt both with that and supernatural malice, sometimes them working separately and other times the two being linked together. If you think you been through the worse than I can guarantee you that I've been through worse." Elizabeth stopped for a moment to smoke on her cigarette again, blowing out more smoke.

"Seeing as you three are so hellbent on joining fine, you can be in the group. But you all follow my orders got it. I know how the secret world operates and if you follow my lead you three won't hopefully cause too much trouble. God forbid the Ushers get up my ass for your shenanigans or Jackies." The witch stated. She turn to face the exit of the alleyway. "As fun as our little detours were there is something I need to attend to that could prove valuable to my investigation." She said as she began to walk out if the alleyway, still smoking from her cigarette.

Empty Wallet

As the three members of Delta Buckler kept firing on the drones the three hoped that either Hex or someone else in the group can develop a plan to get them out of this mess or Jinx can finally hack the city's computer network. Within the van Jinx was surprised on how easily she was getting into the mainframe of the city. Yet she knew something was off, she can tell that the only reason she was having an easy time was because someone else already breach the security systems before her.

When the vehicles began to slow down along with the roller the group were surprised. "What in the world? Why did they stop?" A confused Curse said as he watch the remaining drones fall out of the sky. When they heard the voice coming from the speakers most in Delta Buckler thought that more forces were coming after them.

When the aircraft arrived and the door to it revealed a woman the squad looked at her susceptible expression behind their masks and helmet visors, unsure if she was truly here to help them. Yet when reminded that they are in a new world and the most powerful figure in this world tried to kill them they knew they couldn't refuse an offer for help since doing so meant they would die far away from home. The squad left their vehicles behind as they board the VTOL.

Secrets of the Raven, Sayaka Miki
The Limpet Diner

Sayaka returned to her newfound trio of companions, plate stacked high with pancakes. Like, three or four of those delicious things, covered in butter and honey, a incredibly welcome change from the sights and smells of the Drinking Crow. Especially the smell. Sayaka swore that she was in heaven at that moment, the aroma capitalizing on her good mood as she sat down on the table across Jackie only served to further elevate that effect. Not even Alice's innocent question could ruin this moment for the Magical Girl! "Well, you see Alice," She spoke, knife deftly partitioning the pancakes into neat little triangles, "Traps are like, people that get mistaken for the opposite gender."

Munch

It woulf not be a overstatement to say that Sayaka was melting into her seat.

A War of Flesh and Metal, Violet Evergarden
Egypt, Cairo

The Fuhrer made sense, the hallmark of a experienced she supposed. It helped that he agreed with her plan to retreat, though, his was more specific and much more detailed. With a swift salute and the clack of her heels, she replied to the acting commanding officer of their impromptu squad, voice mechanical, "Yes sir, I will do my utmost to provide you with covering fire." Her gaze turned towards the sword the man offered her, an officer's weapon no doubt, not something a simple pawn like her was fit nor trained to wield. "I am however, not trained in the use of sabers so I shall have to regretfully reject the offer." The ex-soldier was much more comfortable with a shovel, a bayonet or a knife as far as melee weapons went.

Then, the others went into action, and Violet followed suite. She did as she was told, providing covering fire for the Fuhrer and his allies as they retreated, forcing her gaze away from the wounded. As much as she wanted to help carry them, orders were orders and a active battlefield wasn't a place where she could afford to act recklessly.

You can stop screaming at me to post now. I am posting. Also, Jax, I'm stealing your post layout because it looks cool.

Link and Madison - Rise of the Masked Man

Link listened to Gold give a description of the group that called themselves Team Rocket in silence, realizing that this group wasn't so different from some of the creatures he had fought back home.
It could be worse, I suppose.
The young Hero then found himself thinking of home, and wondered how everyone was faring in his absence.
There's no way of telling what Ganon's up to now. I hope everyone's alright...
Link shook his head to clear his thoughts - it was no use thinking of home right now - and saw before him a group of people that Gold and Ty didn't seem to recognize. When Gold asked the group if the knew anything about the creatures known as Pokemon going missing, link couldn't believe it.
Are you really that daft? Not even I would be so open like that! ...I hope you know what you're doing, Gold....
He noticed Percy and Moria get into defensive positions.
So we might have to fight these strange people. Wonderful.

Madi was bored. She didn't expect to be yelled at and treated like a child, but yet, here she was, being reprimanded by everyone in the courtroom for speaking out of turn.
She allowed herself to smirk a bit when she heard the judge give Avarice her sentence but the smirk disappeared when Wright began talking.
Damn, he's good. No wonder this guy is renowned, well, in my world, obviously, not sure about where he's from....
Due to what had happened, Madi swore to not talk again unless it was 100% required that she did so. All she could do now was wait.
And oh boy, how she hated waiting.

Amaterasu - A Grand Adventure

Ammy dodged the Sontarans and ended up next to the metal carriage with a few others. The wolf wagged her tail in greeting but was then interrupted by the arrival of a strange person who began to fight the metal armored creatures all be himself. Then, it appeared as if the creatures were retreating.
"Come on, Ammy, we've got them on the run!"
Ammy barked and used the Celestial Brush to send them packing.

Banjo & Kazooie - Empty Wallets

The bear and bird were currently providing air defense. Well, if you call Beak Bombing and shooting various Eggs air defense. Anyway, they were making short work of the drones when they noticed they they were somehow on huge billboards.
"Hey, look at that, we're famous."
Banjo nodded as another drone exploded nearby. A second later, the two were half blinded by a great light.
It turned out to be a huge aircraft of some sort.
"Looks like we've got company. Great. My wings were getting tired anyway."
The bear and bird landed nearby the aircraft and made their way onto it.

-(A GRAND ADVENTURE)-

Z1
SOMEWHERE IN NORTHERN SWEDEN
5:30am, January 5th

The sound of the winter wind whistled in the dying hours of the night, followed with the aurora borealis in the sky fading into the subsequent morning up above. Endless bastions of taiga trees dotted the snowy Swedish landscape, whether they are mottled by the snow or retain their original green leaves. Tucked mostly away among a small group of snow-covered fern and bushes, there was two small single story wooden cabins, covered within a light layer of snow on its roofs.

For a moment, there was not a single sign of life to wander the snowy forestland ... until a figure appeared upon exiting the front door of the foremost cabin. The figure stood at 5'5ft tall and had hazel brown eyes and hair. For their clothing, the figure wore white pants with brown leather knee high jackboots (plus simple undergarments and a white undershirt underneath), and a white trench coat coupled with white gloves, a scarf (yellow, blue, white color pattern), and a distinctive blue peakless 'feldmutze' cap with a white fur lining.

Z1 was taking her usual morning walk, though not before checking up on her other cabin nearby, which was actually her study hall. The foremost cabin she exited from moments ago was for daily maintenance and diagnosis, that way she could keep herself in good condition every once a while; however, it also served as a shed for her guns and tools. All the tools were manual and mechanical of course, but the only real weapon she had stored in the foremost cabin was a .78 caliber matchlock musket - which was slung on her left shoulder as she exited the cabin.

She only kept the matchlock musket in self-defense or killing any large creatures wandering too close to her cabins. One may think that a matchlock musket was useless in the snow, but aside from the fact that the musket only used .78 caliber conical lead bullets and black gunpowder, but the slow burning cord was a black match and the munition was kept in paper cartridges. The paper cartridges in question were kept in a small wooden box in Z1's blue handbag slung on her right shoulder, which were safe from the cold and snow outside.

All was peaceful for Z1 as she strode down the slanted downhill path; however, when she got down to the bottom was about to turn to her right down the path to the other cabin, the snow beneath her seemed to collapse. As quick as she appeared in the Swedish snowy landscape, she suddenly disappeared into nothingness as the snow collapse underneath her and she fell down with it. To any nearby outsider, it looked like Z1 just simply tripped and got buried under a thin layer of snow; however, there was no one around to help after all in the middle of nowhere...
