Empty Wallets, Kirika Kure
New York Administration District, Fett Kath's Mansion

Kirika watched the proceedings from the sidelines. She was all smiles at first, the chaos in the ballroom serving as a proper comeuppance to her patrons' rather annoying habits. Sadly, the realization soon dawned on her that she actually had a job to do. Yes, she wasn't technically obliged to act until Fett Kath himself was in danger, but when the leading security bot was shot down, torn to pieces, and a explosion rocked the room...

Then, there was the Big Boy himself, going up to her, face red and expression absolutely livid. Worse yet, his spit almost made contact with her face! Her face that was reserved only for Oriko's touch! If it weren't for what he could do for her, she would-!

Ugh!

With a deep frown on the girl's face, her quick reflexes saving her from the disgusting man's equally disgusting bodily fluids, she took a step away from her employer and replied. "Fine!" With a magic powered leap, Kirika found herself standing at the edge of the broken window, overseeing the various newcomers as they commandeered new vehicles, or in Aestus' and the bear's case, take to the air. They just had to make it hard for her, didn't they?

New York Administration District, Parking Lot

For a moment, the Parking Lot was at peace. What remained of the mechanical forces backed off, their guns silenced as they distanced themselves from their targets and allowed them to get away. The Drones in the air, however, were another story entirely. The Airborne machines shadowed the intruders from a safe distance, the cameras in their underbelly flashing white against the night sky only to be lost amidst the colors of the city. The reason for why soon became clear as every billboard and digital device in the District showed pictures of the stolen cars and their drivers, soon replaced by a live feed of the action as-

READY

Was- was that a betting pool on who would get crushed to death first?
SET

It was indeed! And the amount of money being bet on the race was rather extravagant to put it lightly.
GO

The once peaceful Drones that shadowed the newcomers zoomed past the vehicles, skimming mere inches away from crashing into them only to rise to the air once again in a spectacular display of avionics. Now in the air, once hidden compartments were revealed to express rapid firing gauss weapons that fired relentlessly on the ground. For those in the air, the hail of bullets were made to force them onto the ground.

The drones deliberately avoided shooting the vehicles themselves, instead preferring to corral them into a straight path. The reason why soon became clear as a building behind the stolen vehicles collapsed into rubble, revealing what could only be described as a road roller the size of a house. There was no room to dodge or turn.

The only path was forward, and as the realization set in and the mechanical monstrosity roared a hideous howl, the cheers of a invisible crowd filled the city.

Secrets of the Raven, Sayaka Miki
The Drinking Crow, Elizabeth's Room

Yes! YES YES YES!

Anything to get out of this wretched place! Now that all her companions were on board, never-mind their obvious discomfort, Sayaka's grin couldn't get any wider if she wanted it to. "Great!" The Magical Girl held Alice and Jackie's hands in hers, all but dragging them outside the room. Alas, her fun was rather short-lived when Elizabeth suddenly dumped a strange syringe thing in front of Sayaka, forcing her to let go of her shop-mates' hands and catch the object in question.

Before the girl could ask Elizabeth anything, the detective was off, gone like the wind.

A second passed.

Then two.

Then she just threw the Soul Catcher thing in the bed.

It was way too early to bother with things like that when they had breakfast and shopping to do! Now, to drag the others out of this dump...

Empty Wallets
Julian looked upwards as the drones opened fire. Her immediate reaction was to cling closer to Aestus, as his armor could possibly block the bullets.

“They’re opening fire on us!”

But that wasn’t their ultimate goal, it seemed. She looked behind her as the drones did not seem to attack them directly. They were more...shooting at certain places. Hearing the howl, Julian looked behind her and spotted the road rolled, a shrill scream coming from her small frame. That was why the billboard was there. This was a Mariokart to the death.

“AESTUS! We gotta hurry or that guy’s going to crush us to death! I guess if we speed up, we can avoid being roadkill for a while, but we’ll have to break through the drone fire to escape!”

The Grand Adventure

Wakanda

"I didn't think mere wounds would be able to stop you, Ms. Heinz" Wanderer said with a smirk. "Yes, that should be enough. Now let's clear the way and these two to safety!"

Wanderer then emerged from his cover. If it weren't for the cover fire that Ignis provided, he would've been shot down on the spot. Now, however, he had the distraction necessary to close the distance with minimal interference. Despite his appearance, he moved surprisingly quickly, staying low as he moved deftly towards the first Sontaran. The alien invader fired, and the Wanderer swiftly ducked, dashed behind the Sontaran, and stabbed his cane sword into the vent on the back of its neck. Just that one blow was enough to make the soldier fall, sparks flying from its back. Wanderer moved from one Sontaran to the next, dodging laser fire and columns of water, so that he can deliver the swift killing blow. It seemed that everyone's pilot had a lot more fighting experience than he let on, especially with the Sontarans.

As soon as the group of Sontarans were taken down, Wanderer returned to the car. "Now's our chance!" He picked up the second civilian, and led Ignis to an alleyway that was away from the battle. Once there, he gently laid the surviver against the wall of a building.

"Thank you" He said, trying to get up.

"Conserve your strength, stay out of the danger" Wanderer tried to say, but the civilian shook his head.

"Do not worry. He should be here soon" He said with a smile.

"Who?" Wanderer asked.

"Our king"

It was almost as if on queue. A shadowed figure suddenly appeared on the scene, dashing past the alleyway with great speed. It landed in front of a Sontaran, and before it could fire, the figure swiped with a claw-like hand, tearing a hole through its armor. In that brief moment, they were able to see just what this figure was. It was a man with the likeness of a ferocious, feline predator: the Black Panther.

The Sontarans near Ammy backed away as the wolf lunged forward to strike. They were about open fire once again when the Black Panther appeared on the scene, slashing through the foreign invaders with ease.

Jeanne defeating the wielder of the massive cannon was a critical blow to the Sontaran forces. In fact, there were no more Sontarans coming out of the ship. There were still plenty out in the open, but they were slowly congregating around their ship - they were being pushed back!

Inside the building, one more Sontaran was knocked over as it was shot by Christopher. Not only did the shot reduce the number of regressors to five, but it now made three of them turn around to confront their new opponent, dramatically decreasing the amount of fire on Amber. As the two continued to fire on her, one Sontaran threw a grenade towards Chris.

The Multiverse’s Most Dangerous Game

TARGET: GODZILLA
LOCATION: INKOPOLIS

Everything was going as planned. Sypha was keeping the monster stationary with her ice, and Adrian was applying the damage with his intense weaponry. As Samus watched the railgun fire, she felt something burning up inside of her jealousy. This prick was showing her up, unleashing a level of firepower that almost rivaled her own, if it didn't exceed it completely. Once she gets her powersuit back, she was going to show him what for.

Godzilla roared, charging up an atomic laser beam that was aimed right at everyone.

"I can't... hold it... much longer..." Sypha groaned, struggling to maintain the spell.

"Aim for the mouth, everyone!" Samus ordered, pointing towards the monster's wide-open maw.

Secrets of the Raven

Nightmare suppressants? This girl was clearly troubled. By what, though, Trevor wasn't sure. It was still early to pin the blame on the cult, or some other supernatural force, but the likelihood was still there. There didn't seem much else of importance here, so the hunstman moved on to the bedroom of the apartment.
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!

Wakanda
As the Wanderer led them out of danger, whatever pain Ignis seemed to feel from the wounds was gone as upon seeing the Black Panther take down multiple Sontarans, Ignis let out a loud squeal of fangirling Stupor.

"MEIN GOTT! OHMYGODOHMEINGOTTOHMEINGOTT! IT'S ZHE BLACK PANZHERIT'S REALLY HIM!" She shrieked. "OH MEIN GOTT I'M SEEING KING T'CHALLA ZHE BLACK PANZHER IN PERSON!"

Ignis eventually calmed down and took a few deep breaths. "Enschuldigung if I scared you, I'm just a huge fan of your King." She said to the Wakandan. "But are you ok? Ve should get you to a hospital."

Inkopolis
"On it!" Konny formed another huge spear out of remains and launched it towards Godzilla's mouth. She didn't stop there, as she kept up her assault with even more coming after it.

"Jeez, Jona, wake up, we need you." Konny looked at the boy, sighing. Even she herself was about to collapse. She had never exerted herself this much before.

Secrets of the Raven | Jacquelyn and Kyle

"Short cut bacon with poached eggs, no pepper and capsicum. Medium meal with the complementary ketchup on the side please. Combine that with the Bristol Pusher meal deal and as for the accompanying drink I'll have, uhh... a latte with two sugars and extra milk."
"Sausages and french toast. A cup of water, too. Jeez, Jack. You don't need to be so specific."
"I have very specific tastes. Besides! It's one of those rare times when we get to actually buy something, rather than steal it or get it from somewhere shady (even though we're using forged money). We're practically functional members of society at this point."
"Thank god for fire. I don't think the staff would've let us in if we hadn't burnt the stench out."
"I wouldn't have entered to begin with. I'd feel bad stinking up this nice little place."

The Limpet Diner. One of many fine establishments hidden in the shadiest part of town. From all the the forgers' operations, private investigators, murders and hauntings in the area, one wouldn't have expected to find such a nice and cosy little place. Polished wooden floors, well dressed staff, the distinct lack of blood and booze all over the floor. Kyle was happy to be in such a place. Now that he thought about it, maybe shopping for clothes wasn't such a bad idea, even if he'd have to show his face to practically every passerby while doing it. Jack took her coffee. Kyle took his water.

"So what do you think of the 'team'? We've buried ourselves pretty deep in this whole affair, haven't we?"

The duo sat down near the window, waiting for Sayaka and Alice to order their food. They'd all agreed to meet here once they'd fetched their meals. There was an Asian place next door, a Mexican diner upstairs. If Guy Fieri ever found Flavourtown, it'd be right here, in the heart of seedy, mystery-laden London. Jack tentatively ripped open a packet of sugar, dumping the entire bag into her coffee. She didn't stir it. Frankly, she was only ordering it for the novelty value. She'd never had proper coffee before. Only that bagged shit people threw out after it went bad.

"We're going to be here for a while. At least, until the 'story' ends. I know it bugs you when I talk about The Authors and shit though so I'm not going to. The team? I, well... Elizabeth is a bitch of a hardass, no doubt about it but I think she's got skill and a little bit of niceness in there. She's helping us out, after all. Trevor? Haven't talked to him much. Lamar and Ryder are potheads. Haven't talked to Alice either. Sayaka? Nice girl. Cute outfit. What about you?"
"Elizabeth is... something. Intense, roiling, dangerous. She's a terrifyingly competent freak, always busy, caught up in whatever's on her mind. I trust her for now but I barely know anything about her. Said something about being in a 'dark inescapable pit'. I haven't really met anyone else."

A plate of bacon, eggs, beans, capsicum, lettuce, salt, cheese and all manner of other stereotypically British foods slid in front of Jacquelyn. Two sausages and two slices of french toast clattered into Kyle's view. The waiter wished them a happy meal and Jacquelyn mumbled an apology back. Kyle gave him a smile and a more... enthusiastic expression of gratitude.

"Pardon her. She's just a bit tired. Thanks for the meal, sir. Jesus, Jackie. Can you finish that?"
"Probably not but this time I'm ordering for two."
"Wait, what are you implying? are you pregnant?!"
"No I'm making up for the fact that you never eat enough. Now have some fucking eggs."

They sat there in warm comfort for a while, sipping coffee and waiting for their meals to cool down. Fresh off the skillet, piping hot and filled with juice. It'd been ages since they'd been able to sit down and really relax. Feel safe, have some breakfast, discuss who would win in a fight and whether garlic bread or chocolate was better. They waited there for Sayaka and Alice to arrive and maybe, just maybe, steer the conversation away from whether traps were gay and if Kyle was technically a pervert.

Empty Wallets | Cassia

The scream of lights and crowds overtook the streets. In a moment the previously extravagant and warm cityscape turned to a neon arena of glistening fluid, saturated colour and impeccably polished metal. Spotlights turned to him, drones flew through the air. Excitement coursed through his veins and that of the crowd; so exhilarating! He'd been searching for something fun to do and apparently the universe was a kind place to be in because hot damn, this dimension was shaping up to be wild! If the crowds wanted entertainment, he'd be all the happier to provide. His voice boomed through the street, powered by destructively powerful vocal chords.

"Alright! Is everyone at home having a lovely time?! Are you all excited for this?! Let's get this show on the road!"

Cassius burst out laughing, his arms rippling as two assault rifles appeared in his hands. He'd have to replace the mass of the bullets somehow. Using his own pool of mass wasn't sustainable for long periods but damn did it remove a lot of otherwise binding limitations. He leapt onto the car's roof, standing like a cowboy with his arms straight ahead of him and his back leaning slightly away from the direction in which he was looking. With a toothy grin, he began unloading rounds into the drones, tracers blasting off with ridiculously exaggerated force and muzzle flashes. A howitzer sprouted from his back, anchored to the vehicle. A trail of smoke accompanied the flash of a 152mm mortar shell (quite unsuited to being fired from a howitzer) destroying the facade of a nearby building, sending bricks and mortar tumbling onto the road behind them. He laughed all the while, even when a hail of bullets ripped at his plated skin, forcing him to withdraw his weaponry and form a solid riot shield, kneeling on the vehicle and protecting himself from the rain of gauss projectiles and metal slugs, grinning and waving at the invisible camera.

"I know you can see us Fett! How about it? Are we gonna die? Are your drones going to rip us to tattered shreds? Let's find out together! And for all you folks at home, place your bets! If I were you I'd put my money on me dying first!"

It occurred to most people at this point that maybe Cassia wasn't taking this entire debacle very seriously.

Secrets of the Raven

Greed had spent the night, and a bit of the morning, practicing (or rather attempting to practice) chi sensing. In his practicing, he failed to notice the leaving of many of the people in their group. As time went on, he grew more and more frustrated. He mentally asked if the souls that composed him had noticed anything when Ying was sensing things. A few voices broke out through the noise of anguish, giving advice.

He tried what they suggested, but again continued to fail to notice anything. Until...

KA-RACK!!

Greed's eyes snapped open. That feeling... that presence felt familiar. Was it one of his brothers? Greed rushed out of the building, making his way to where he believed it to be coming from. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good.

Red lightning struck the roof of the apartment building, depositing a small raven-haired child. The boy staggered to his feet, and looked around. Where was he?

Egypt

Bradley nodded, and exited the tent, and, after spotting a group of the young "gods", made his way to them. "I see you've been busy." He said, greeting them. "I've been informed that the army is retreating to the river for better defenses. However, that artillery fire is tearing the locals to pieces, and allowing them to fire on us while we regroup will result in further losses. If you don't mind me giving directions or orders to you, I'd task you with eliminating it as quickly as possible. If any of you have healing abilities, stabilization of the wounded would also be acceptable." He drew a pair of swords from the sheaths at his back. "Elimination of their fire support is key in turning this around, and saving the lives of the allied soldiers will be beneficial in maintaining defense."

He turned to Violet. "You seem to be an impressive markswoman with that pistol. If you don't mind, I'd like you to back me up in pushing them back from the wounded. If necessary, my swords are yours to use. If you are skilled with them that is." He gave a slight smile, and turned back. "Does anyone have any disagreements or questions with the plan?"

MMDG, Inkopolis

Agent X had followed the group around, helping to reload, or repurpose the Inkling arsenal. Upon Samus' command, she equipped the missile launchers and began firing along with the group.

Wakanda

The Kobolds, at first observing, rallied forth with acid bombs and magic attempting to restrain or allow for others to damage them better. One in particular grabbed the grenade with a Mage Hand, and threw it back at the Sontarans.

"Let them fear the wrath of Dragons!" The captain shouted as a rallying cry. The others shouted with him, with a couple making their way to injured civilians to drag to safety and heal them. The captain himself drew a brilliantly glowing rapier that looked too large for him, charged the closest sontaran, and thrust his clearly magical Rapier at it. "Your armor avails you none!"

War of Flesh and Metal; Cairo, Eygpt

"We're retreating?" Marcus asked, scratching his chin. He supposed that made sense. If they could join up with a larger force established deeper in the city, the Egyptians would probably take a lot fewer causalities. "Makes sense, I guess. Y'know, I've always kinda wanted to see the Nile, but I never quite imagined it would be under these conditions." "These are definitely strange circumstances," Alex agreed. "Retreat sounds like a good option to me, but I'm not really sure what we can do about their artillery. The tanks that it's mounted on has super thick armor, and none of us have a great enough damage output to pierce it."

As if on cue, a blast from the droids' artillery struck dangerously close to them, scoring a direct hit on Andromeda's anti-air gun and destroying it. Without the harassment from it, the robotic fighters swung around again and peppered the remaining gunship with cannonfire and missiles, causing it to follow its comrade crashing to the ground.

"Maybe we don't need to pierce the armor?" Marcus offered, now sweating a bit. That last blast was a little too close for comfort. "Just gotta get a little creative. Alex, do you think you could teleport something that big?" "Um, I think I should be able to," Alex said slowly, trying to think of what he had planned. Back in Sburb she would occasionally teleport strong enemies to other planets if they were visible, but here the moon was not visible and she wasn't about to stare into the sun. "Great! How 'bout you just zap it a few feet into the air and let gravity to the rest? Probably won't destroy them, but I'd bet it'd fuck with them enough that they'd have to stop attacking." Alex considered this. It would definitely be a great deal easier than trying to break through the shell, and really seemed to be the only viable plan they had.

"Sounds like a plan to me," She said after a few seconds. "You guys get going, then- I'll be right back." With a goodbye kiss for luck from Marcus, Alex teleported away once again onto the battlefield. Marcus looked off wistfully for a moment, then turned back to the others and said, "Well, you heard the woman. Let's get a move on." All around them, the Egyptian soldiers were hastily packing in their things and moving out. El-Sayed had hopped into a jeep and was yelling some last orders out the window as his driver anxiously waited for the order to leave. A couple of battlefield medics struggled to carry the last dozen or so wounded a troop truck being used as an ambulance. "None of us can heal, but we can carry people to medics and stuff," Marcus said, eyeing this. "If you don't mind me giving an order, Mein Fuhrer, everyone grab a wounded person and carry 'em to the truck."

Back out on the battlefield, Alex sized up her opponent. The robotic artillery was larger and heavier than any tank she had ever seen, easily weighing about 100 tons. Alex had never been one to shy away from a challenge, though. The Rogue cracked her knuckles, more out of habit than necessity, stuck out her hands, closed her eyes, and focused. In her mind's eye, she could see the imprint of everything around her, from the bullets flying through the air to the massive tank in front of her. She focused on the tank and its position on the ground, then imagined it about ten feet above the ground. With a little concentration and a not-insignificant effort, her will became reality, and the tank spontaneously teleported from the ground to the sky. It immediately fell back to the ground, crushing its wheels and treads under the immense force of gravity and rendering the artillery inoperable. Alex opened her eyes and took this in for a moment, then cracked a grin and moved on to the next tank.

Tales of Trebizond; Trebizond Arena

Ann grimaced as she watched her blade of air slice open the cyborg's belly. She hadn't really expected the attack to cause so much damage; every time she had used it prior, it was against the denizens of her player world in Sburb. Game constructs that showed no outward signs of damage and exploded into piles of game currency upon death rather than leaving corpses. Furthering her discomfort was the fact that some of her new friends and allies freely killed their enemies, often in bloody ways, and that spilling out of the cyborg's wound were machines that could apparently reanimate the dead. If she was being honest with herself, this was not at all how she thought the battle was gonna go, and it was turning out to be not nearly as fun as she expected.

Thankfully, her dear boyfriend Eric was there to save her. As soon as she heard his voice Ann gusted over and landed right next to him, putting her normal cheerful expression back on. Just being around him was usually enough to put her at ease, and this was no exception. She looked up at him, eager at the prospect of cool combo moves, and said, "Yay, time to team up! You wanna throw an axe and have the Breeze carry it perfectly? Or how 'bout I float somebody up and you hit 'em a bunch!"

A Grand Adventure; Birnin Zana, Wakanda

"You adapt fast," Ji-yeong remarked as the Sontarans swiftly changed from close-range laser fire to long range grenade-throwing. She raised an eyebrow as her eyes followed one of the explosives in its arc through the air. "You're going to have to do better than grenades, though!" Raising a hand, a beam of light appeared to shoot out of her index finger and vaporize the grenade she had been following. She continued to destroy all grenades thrown at her in this manner, then the Witch raised her other hand and aimed it at the Sontarans. Above them, the sunlight got brighter and more focused until it collapsed into a dense beam, slamming down into the Sontarans and obliterating them, leaving nothing but a crater.

Ivan and Jonah continued to shoot and throw from behind cover until the squad they had been attacking was utterly destroyed by Ji-yeong. From there, they turned around to help out their allies, only to find that a man clad all in black with very sharp hands had arrived on the scene to help. "Who's the cat-guy?" Jonah wondered aloud.
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?

Secrets of the Raven

"Damn, looks like gig is up. I wondered just how long I was going to keep my act up but looks like it wasn't even needed in the first place." The witch complained, peeved that the vampire tricked her. When Lilith apologized for the food the witch simply shrugged as she placed her hands in her coat pocket. "Forget about it, that would have made a terrible breakfast anyway. If I was you I would forget about leaving here." When Lilith asked why should she stay Elizabeth would reply with. "Because you are no longer in your world. That rift took you to another universe and that one so happen to be mines." She explained.

The witch soon let a smirk form on her lips. "Sense you are willing to admit that you weren't trying to control me I will reveal something too. I knew that you were not a dog the moment I saw you, in fact I didn't meet you just by pure chance. I sensed both your arrival and saw your aura while as a dog, it what told me that you are neither a dog or human. The question now is what type of vampire are you?" She said, her head tilting slightly to the left.

"You come from another universe so you obviously come from the otherworldly camp, but you are the most human looking one that I've seen. Is there another soul riding that body or is there one? Was your current state made by an anomalous effect that was controlled or did it happen by freak chance?" The mage asked.

The bed room would have paintings hanging on the room, most showing both natural scenery and dream-like landscapes, all made by the victim. On the desk in front of the computer was an old film camera with a new roll next to it. The group would find photos of the victim with friends and family, next to them are a few items like a radio, a potted plant, and other miscellaneous items. On the bed they would find a stuff animal in the form of a plush raven and the university sweater, showing once more a raven with the colors of the schools sport team; purple, black, and silver. The center of the room was a table with school books on top of it with a lamp and a few cans of soda and energy drinks. The tv of the room had a game system below it with cases for both games and movies next to it. The closet door was slightly open.

Empty Wallet

As the group began to speed away from Kath's residence the squad took notice of the drones and at first thought they were reconnaissance drones sent to monitors their movement, however they found that the drones were much worse when they saw the billboards showing them on the video feed. "Ah hell, the freaking news is following us!" Curse shouted once he saw what was the true purpose of the drones.

However those worries would soon change to more pressing matters as hidden gauss turrets made themselves by firing at them while other drones began rain down bullets at the group, becoming an even greater aerial nuisance. Yet this soon was overshadowed by the massive road roller that was before them. "You gotta be fucking kidding me!" Curse shouted.

He heard Hex sending him a telepathic message to stop and turn the van around so it's back was facing the roller. Curse speed forward and perform a sudden turn, the tires screeching as black mark's were left on the concrete road. When the van stopped it shook. Soon the door open and Faust stepped forward and aim her minigun at the gauss turrets as Trick exited the van and still cloaked with his weapon began to aim and fire his gauss rifle at the drones

You can say that you are fighting side by side with the best warriors and psykers the Alliance has to offer. So, yes, you can still stick to picking off the wounded foes. It is probably for the best, as our research has shown that merely wounding a Swarm creature isn’t going to kill it due to their biological regeneration.”, the scientist then polished her glasses with a clean cloth before continuing. “Your job would be ensuring that they stay dead, because if they regenerate, they are still trouble. And speaking of a back up plan, we do have one, but there is not a lot of progress in it. We have been studying the possibility of multiverse travel ever since the first rifts appeared, but we haven’t progressed much. Therefore, I would say that the Divine Annihilator is our best shot.

As Yuki finished speaking, a transmisison buzzed into the Yamato’s communications array. It was from the Triangulum Galaxy. It was a live video feed. Grand Admiral Alessandra would then order to be it out up in the screen. On the screen would appear an alien, unmistakably an Asterian.

“Grand Admiral, this is Praetor Horus of the Triangulum Naval Command. Several stations have gone dark in the west spur, and we have lost contact with the garrisons sent to investigate. Soon after, the Swarm attacked the Zana and Laurentia System. We are trying to hold them off, but the sheer momentum of their forces are driving us off! Laurentia Ultima is now being subjected to ground attacks, and you might want to see it.” The screen would then switch over to the video feed of the attack on Laurentia Ultima, and it was horrifying indeed! Capillary towers extended towards the ground from the Hive Ships, sucking in the bioforms of the planet like giant vacuum cleaners. On the ground, hordes of the biomechanical monsters of the Swarm gibbered and slaughtered as they rushed through the pristine cities of Laurentia Ultima. Asterian siege weapons retaliated, killing thousands of the creatures with every strike, but they kept coming. Every creature that was slain was replaced by a hundred more, and as the Asterian defenses in Laurentia Ultima slowly crumbled under the rapacious assault, it would spark terrible foreboding with everyone who saw it.

“Of all times... the Federation First Fleet is coming to assist you, Praetor Horus. All ships of the First Fleet, prepare to depart! We will stem the tide!”, the Grand Admiral ordered. “Looks like you will have combat experience right off the bat.”, she said, looking at Azrael. “Do not worry, for the Federation Army will be at your side. May the Light guide us!”, she said as the First Fleet entered warp.

Thirty minutes later, they would arrived in the Laurentia system. It was just as bad as they saw. The forces of the Asterians and Westorosians were there, holding off the Swarm from Laurentia Secundus as evacuations were underway. “Good time, Grand Admiral.”, the Praetor came in. “Let us apply the pesticide.”

Nova then began to issue combat orders. “Transports, head for Laurentia Ultima and conduct a counterassault on the ground! We have to rescue the civilians trapped in the major cities and fortresses. All ships, fire at will! Annihilate the Swarm ships line by line!”

Azrael would then be approached by Nova again.

“Ready to tear up some monsters?”

The Shape of the Nightmare to Come
Small Magellanic Cloud

“You see the visitors! Make them mad and make them eat each other up!”,Tarven and Yamikaze both ordered as their carriers launched their respective fighters. Nomad and Believer Strike Craft danced the dance of death as their superhuman reflexes aided them in evading everything the Swarm threw at them. Energy bolts would collide with the Hive Ships before being led like lambs to the slaughter to the assimilated metal warships. The feral Hive Ships would tear at their metal allies, biting them bit by bit just as the metallic vessels fired at them to get them off. Josen would then launch his fighters as well, the Voidseeker Interceptors. They were like angels of death, blazing white fighters that evaded every attack thrown at them. Just as the battle had stabilised, bad news came in.

“The Triangulum? It is under assault as well?”, Josen would ask to another admiral over the screen.

“Yes it is, and the Terran First Fleet is there defending the Laurentia System alongside the Asterians and Westorosians. I just need you all to be informed.”

“Ay, Sternenadmiral.”, Josen answered as he put down the call. “Let’s finish this!”

“More contacts admiral! They just seem not to run out despite all we do!”

“How much is the Flamespire Cannon charged?”

“65% and climbing sir!”

“Fire at my mark.”

“Aye!”

A War of Flesh and Metal

“So now is the time.”, admiral Yi muttered as he sliced through a robot, cutting it in half. “Very well. All units, fall back to the other side! The Honor Guard, Aurelia, Andromeda, and I will cover your retreat!”, he said over the comms to his remaining troops as they fell back. His Honor Guard stayed back as well, covering the retreat of their allies. These black robed warriors wielded both gun and blade in utter perfection, and they did so with violence. Genetically enhanced humans with compounded senses and reflexes, many foes fell before them as they destroyed the machines without mercy. The starfighters would pull away and exit the atmosphere. Even as the foe fell upon them, the Honor Guard and their cronies did not run, buying time for their allies to escape. The Admiral’s Piercer annihilated three of the robotic soldiers, the arrows cutting cleanly through them before the chain reaction triggered by the arrows’ passing destroyed them. Aurelia fought at close range, deftly evading enemy fire as she sliced enemy forces with her charged force sword.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Liltith frowned. It seemed this woman wasn't what she thought, she was talking nonsense. She reached around and felt the back of the woman's skull, then looked at her gloved hand. "You must have hit your head, harder than I had intended." she returned her arm to underneath her cloak. "I do not know anything of what you are talking about. Rifts, auras, other types of vampires that do not exist?"

Lilith pitied the woman for what she assumed was not being all together upstairs. "There is but one type of vampire, despite what you see or read about. There are no demons involved, no selling of your soul zum Teufel." She smelled the air, trying to locate a place to hunt.

"You may go, no one will believe the words you say anyway." she said with a sympathetic tone. "I hope that you find the help you need."

secrets of the Raven

When Lilith reached around to touch the back of her head Elizabeth was confused by the action. "Okay? What's she planning this time?" her answer came when the vampire told her that she was speaking nonsense due to hitting her head hard on the wall. "Oh great she thinks I'm crazy, just brilliant."

Elizabeth would admit that she walked into that without providing proof to her claim. "I can prove to you that what I'm telling you is real if your willing to follow me." Elizabeth waited for Lilith to reply back on accepting her offer. Elizabeth knew of a couple of ways to prove to this vampire that she was telling the truth.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith closed her eyes and exhaled slowly. She was slowly beginning to regret sparing or even speaking to this woman. She'd already been woken up from her sleep, adding the sunlight made her more irritable than usual. The fact that she was somehow in Wales far away from her belongings left her with little patience to have her time wasted. In case this woman didn't understand, she'd inform her.

"I'll follow you, but this had better be the best and most convincing thing I've ever seen in my life." she said. "If you're just wasting my time..." she began "Well I think you can guess what will happen to you. All ideas of the mercy I have shown up to now will be gone." she warned, her voice serious. "Are you sure about this?" the vampire asked, her tongue licking her fangs under her scarf, fully prepared to feed on this woman, crazy or not.

Secrets of the Raven

Elizabeth hide whatever fear she felt towards the threat on her life with a wide, toothy, grin. "Well just to give you a heads up my blood will taste like shite, it you will never have a chance to taste it." The witch thought as she turn around. "Just follow me and I will show you proof that this world isn't your world."

The witch said as she lead Lilith into the building. "Besides showing you evidence that would prove that I'm telling the truth I also have people who will collaborate with my story, after that I will show you proof to my claim." She said as they enter the elevator. When they enter the hallway Lilith would be hit by the foul order in the hall, seeing the team sent to deal with it removing the carpet floor.

"Some jackass made the hallway stink for a practical joke." She told her, keeping the truth hidden for now so the reveal of the eye in her room would be a surprise. When she reached the door to the room took out a key card and inserted it inside. Once she open it she was hit by not only a stronger horrid aroma but also the scent of putrid flesh burning. The witch began to cough violently. "What The fuck happened in here?" She said between her coughs, shocked at seeing the burnt pie es of wallpaper on the floor. Elizabeth walked fo the box and if Lilith followed Elizabeth she too would see the basketball size silver eye staring back at her.

On the bed she would find a half spherical bronze item with many gears with a glass tube on top and a long syringe needle on the front. Elizabeth covered her nose as she logged into her computer and open it. She gave Lilith both a link to the internet and a file documents containing her past cases. "Look at it for yourself love but I should warn you that my case files are not for the squamish." She warned.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

When Lilith exited the elevator, she immediately almost doubled over from the smell, her heightened sense being hit harder than Elizabeth's. Unfortunately, it only got worse and the vampire could barely stand to be in the room. Had eaten anything, she likely would have quickly vomited it up. "You live like this?" the vampire asked, her face pressed into both her scarf and cloak. "You're crazier than I had thought!"

She considered leaving then, and forgetting she had ever met the crazy woman with the disgusting smelling room, but she looked at the computer. She eyed the needle with suspicion. Is that why she's like this? she thought. In was hast du dich hineingeraten, Katharina?

She looked through the files on the computer, each one more unbelievable than the last. "Vater Unser im Himmel..." she said to herself. She paused for a second and looked to see what had become of her former home, though there was predictably not much information on the small town. It seemed that history did not change much for the land however, it had the same ups and downs as it had in her time. Tragic. she thought.

The Shape of the Nightmare to Come
Silverdalean Fleet

“We shall begin Operation Starburst. ” Rei called out to the crew. The data provided by their new-found allies gave the needed intel for the fleet to analyze. The odds were overwhelming, as their foe came from another devoured universe. Despite the odds, the data showed a critical weakness to the entire hive fleet of the swarm named the “Abyssus Dominatus” as the Norn Queen is the center of command and her small craft like drones and mecha can be the best chance to purpose.

“Commander Ichigo, is the fleet’s mecha wing ready to launch?” Rei asked.

“The fleet’s mecha wing is primed and ready, Admiral.” Ichigo replied.

“Good. The mecha wing must provide assistance for our long range assault while the first and second drone echelons will disrupt and hunt for the Norn Queen.” Rei reported. “Now proceed with caution as our mission is to secure the breach and may Mythra’s light help us restore the barrier.”

Once the briefing was done, Ichigo suited up within the Seraphim, a giant biomechanical mecha modelled after the six winged angelic being and elegant in its figure of the feminine body. Golden with its tims and arm with the rest of the metallic fresh pearl white, it was the lead for the rest of the squadron aboard the Empyrean. Once armed with an oversized sleek white particle beam rifle, completed with its refable scope, she was good to go!

As the fleet arrived, the Silverdalean lead battleship, the Empyrean, opened fired with a barrage of twin particle beams at the swarm followed by the cruiser’s and the developed mecha wing’s own particle lasers. It was followed kinetic and anti-ship missiles from the entire fleet and mecha wings at the swarm. The first wave of drones of about a hundred advanced towards the swarm, armed with high-relativity speed kinetic projectiles and lasers, to fire at the structural weaknesses of the swarm hives at close range and search for valued targets.

The Secrets of the Raven

The obvious result of Sayaka’s sudden hand grab onto Alice was shock and awkward discomfort. “Excuse me Sayaka-” Alice’s protest was cut short when Elizabeth showed up. Why was the woman in a hurry towards her room and decided to go back? Well likely some other being appeared beyond the boundary of this world and Elizabeth sensed it. Still, Alice listened to Ms Ashwood closely.

“A Soul Catcher?” Alice winced at the steampunkish device, as it reminded her of some crazy reference Sanae knew about some ghostbuster or whatever the heck that movie is. Still, this magic item is the utmost importance to hide it and Blueberry simply threw it at the bed. Baffled by this whole event, Alice waved her hand for a pair of dolls to go after it and hid it inside a safe lock box. If that wasn’t possible, then the closet would work.

When that’s said and done, Alice bought herself a small meal from the Timpet Dinner. Complete with fruit, english muffin, scramble eggs, and good old english tea! Truth be told, Alice doesn’t have to eat anything, at all. As a magician, she did not need to eat food and regularly done it out of habit. That said, Alice approached the table and interrupted the two.

“Excuse me, but what do you mean by a trap?” Alice asked. She wasn’t familiar with the outside world and the slang from the internet. That knowledge would have been known far better by the frog shrine maiden Sanae Kochiya, which she regularly confuses people by how the modern world works.

Secrets of the Raven

"Hell no! One of my "associates" must have done this as pay back over our "argument" from yesterday." The enraged witch shouted, offended that Lilith would think that she would willing want to live like this. When the two finally got to the laptop Elizabeth was quiet as she watched the vampire look through her files and wikipedia.

When she finally accepted that she was in a new world Elizabeth gave her a few minutes of silence before yelling her about the cult and her group, including the vampire hunter. "Right now he and the two American gangsters are off doing an investigation but we can't let him see or know what you are when he comes back."

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith stood up and moved over to the window, drawing the curtains closed to block out the sunlight. "Vampire... hunter?" she asked. She looked at the covered window for a bit. "I knew this would happen eventually if we were discovered." she said quietly. She turned back to the woman. "Your friend the hunter will not be able to kill me, none of you will. That does not mean I wish to spend the next few decades with my head separated from my body."

"I take it by your tone that he will not listen to reason then?" she confirmed. "I can't say that I would blame him. The vampires in his world must have done terrible things to be so feared."

"Fräulein Ashwood, was it?" she asked, having caught the woman's name from the files. "Lilith von Brandt. It seems that for the time being I have no choice other than to remain here." she said, feeling a rumbling again in her stomach. "I do hate to bring this up so soon, but it is really unavoidable... It has been a few days since I have last..." she trailed off, though she figured the woman would know what she meant.

Secrets of the Raven

Lamar pocketed the pill bottle for later, returning to the living room where Ryder slurped up his Coke. "You gon' fuckin' help us?" He questioned, Ryder not even bothering to turn his head as he spoke to Lamar. "Nigga, I am helping. Just let me think for a second, you dumb mothafucka."

"Man, fuck you nigga. Fuckin' sittin' around an' shit like the mothafucka you are, fuck you. Bet you didn't even finish high school, stupid ass bitch."

As Lamar followed Trevor into the bedroom, Ryder turned around on the couch and called out to him. "Damn right I didn't finish it! I was too goddamn intelligent for that shit!" He accentuated each word by poking a finger at his head.

Secrets of the Raven

"If I have to be honest no. The Dracula from his world has done a good job on making him see your kind as inhuman monsters who deserve nothing more but death before you all can kill anyone." Elizabeth told Lilith, her eyes making it clear that any meeting between will not end well.. "The only reason I'm not going to kill you is because vampires in this world are morally complicated individuals, just like regular people. At least when they are people, the ones that aren't tend to be either simple beasts or aliens with incomprehensible mindsets when compared to how us humans think." The mage states, turning off her laptop and closing it.

When she asked for her name and shared her own the witch replied with. "That's right love and I will allow that nickname for now. Right now I have some money for you to stay over in another room and in truth I may decide to leave this one soon." Elizabeth looked at the ruined wallpaper again, enraged that Jackie did this to her room. "And I know Blueberry let her in. I doubt she knew what Jackie was planning but she isn't going off lightly for this either not Kyle."

As the mage fumed in her rage and desire for revenge Lilith's stomach rumbled and with his quiet the room was Elizabeth heard it too, along with the warning from Lilith on needing to feed. "Shit." The witch muttered as she got up. She began to pace back and forth in the room as she thought on what to do. "Can you feed on dead bodies or at animals?" Elizabeth questioned, remembering the dead necromancer in the basement.

Back in the apartment Wrath would find a door leading to the stairway inside the building, however when it tries to open it he would find that it is locked on the inside.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith hung her head hearing how Trevor would feel. "Möge Gott meiner Seele gnädig sein." she said softly. "I do not wish to take money from you. I am accustomed to small spaces. I will find somewhere to hide in the building."

When asked about her feeding, the vampire turned her back and looked at the ground with a sense of shame. "The blood of the dead is usually too far gone to not cause illness. Even the recently deceased, those that have perished within a few hours, are a risk that I try to avoid when possible because there is more risk compared to... well... fresh. As for animals..." she said, shaking her head. "I am afraid not. I have tried, believe me I have, but sadly it does not work." She turned back around to the woman.

"It is not an immediate emergency, there is still some amount of time before the issue is critical. But the longer I wait, the more desperate I become and the less control I would have." she looked away and sighed. "I might not be stop myself from attacking someone, or killing."

Tales of Trebizond

Eric tried to ignore most of the carnage and slaughter on the battlefield, as he was extremely faint of heart. The battle a lot messier and bloodier than Eric was used to, and he was put off by the eagerness in which some of their allies killed the foe. Thankfully, his beloved Ann eagerly joined his side and he immediately ignored everything else going on to focus on her. "I think I like the sound of that first one. Hold on." He put away his large axe and pulled out two smaller throwing axes. "Alright, babe, think fast!" The Heir threw both of the axes into the air for Ann to redirect with her powers.

Meanwhile, Pobeda was not the least concerned with the level of violence of the current battle. He looked at the new undead soldiers with annoyance, but did not pause from his attacks. He cut off the arms of one of the undead soldiers with a quick slash of his blade before liberating the things head from its body. There was no challenge in this, but he did not care. He fought with a detached speed and efficiency, never pausing to savor the combat, but instead simply dropping a foe with a quick stroke of his blade and moving on. He knew they needed to focus on the giant, though, so he soon abandoned the fight with the grunts to attack the beast with the others. He drew his gun once more, reloading with 6 more shots, and opened up on the giant.

DTTM

The battle was finally over, but this was clearly not the end. Eleutherius examined the wall closely and thought for a second before speaking up. "I believe breaking through the wall would be the most practical way yo go about doing this. If only I had my Jump Pack on me, I'd be able to surmount this wall on my own." Then suddenly Wilfre himself appeared above them with a companion. He was a lot...... smaller than the Marine had expected, but then again it seemed as though everyone in this world was tiny. The being seemed wreathed in a dark energy of sorts, clearly a sign of the dark powers he had vested within him. Eleutherius had his bolt-gun at the ready, but said nothing in response to Wilfre's inquiry. He'd let the others deal with the diplomacy.

Egypt, WoFaM

Hersel and Venera glanced over at the one-eyed man who was apparently in charge now, clearly not too thrilled by the idea of following a complete stranger with a stupid bush of hair between his nose and lips. "Retreat?! Pfft, sounds like quitter talk to me!" Hersel glanced down at her with an annoyed look, causing her to let out a frustrated huff. "Fine! We'll retreat, I guess." Hersel nodded in approval and the two went to work carrying the wounded to safety.

AGA

Alena shielded her eyes as Ji-Yeong disintegrated many Sontarans with her light powers. "Why didn't you do that sooner?" She called out as she began to pick off those who were out of the beam's radius. Then, a moment later, a man dressed in what appeared to be a feline-like outfit jumped from the shadows and attacked the Sontarans. Alena watched the man in action for a second, clearly confused. "Who the hell is that? And where did he come from?"

Secrets of the Raven

"Right should have known the easy option was out." Elizabeth was peeved that animal blood wasn't going to work, it would have been easy to get a supply of those for Lilith. The witch paced around as thought were to get blood for the vampire when an idea came to her. Elizabeth stopped and turn to face Lilith. "I have an idea on where you can get free blood but you have to trust me on this one."

Elizabeth gestured her to follow the witch out of the room and back out on to the hallway. The two would eventually stop in front of a door and as the witch knocked she called out to the occupants inside. "Oi it's me, I need your help." She called out.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith was hesitant, but she didn't really have much choice. She didn't like having to rely on people, and would rather do things herself. She would see what the witch had in store for her though, in case it wasn't a totally terrible idea.

She pulled the hood of her cloak back over her head and followed the witch. "I don't suppose you plan on telling me, no?" she asked. She took the woman's silence as an answer. When she found herself standing outside a doorway with Elizabeth calling in to someone, Lilith became more antsy. "I don't like not knowing what's going on. I like relying on people i do not know, especially with the truth. I do not go around telling everyone I meet about being eine Vampirin for good reason." she said. "I hope you know what you are doing with this."

Secrets of the Raven|The Kents
In the time that Elizabeth had quickly left the Kents room (Much to their disappointment, though Hope was happier that she had an extra cup of hot chocolate that Elizabeth had left behind) the family in question had:

A very deep heart to heart talk about the day Skylar died, had some fun with impressions when Skylar altered her corpus to look like Elizabeth, and contemplate their next course of action (Which more likely than not involved hounding after Elizabeth) fortunately for them, their plans were made for them when they heard knocking on their door. Skylar was easily able to detect that Elizabeth had returned, and that she had brought a friend! Wonderful!

"Elizabeth came back, and she's got another dark haired pale woman with her!" Skylar explained to her family. "So I am going to play a little prank!"

She opened the door, and much to the confusion of Elizabeth and Lilith, they would see Skylar open the door...except Skylar looked like Elizabeth, almost perfectly so.

"Hello! I'm Elizabeth, I carjack innocent families to steal magical artifacts, and when that doesn't work, I harass families until I convince them to give me said artifact!" She said. Skylar may have had Elizabeth's appearance and voice, but she definitely did not her tone and personality. Despite the fact that Skylar was clearly teasing Elizabeth, it would definitely be strange for Elizabeth to see "herself" with such a positive attitude.

"Come in, I made you all hot chocolate! Well I didn't actually make you hot chocolate, and well, I actually didn't make it, but that's not the point! We have hot chocolate, and that's what matters!" She excitedly let her doppelgänger and her vampire friend into the room, and with the sudden politeness of the Kents, they would find themselves seated and with a cup of The repeatedly mentioned hot chocolate in their hands.

"You didn't finish your drink Lizzie!" Hope said, smiling, but still somehow sounding disappointed. "I spent a whole minute or so making that for you!" She teased.

"Now now Hope, I'm sure the doppelgänger that just entered our room had a valid reason for her sudden departure." Simon interjected. "Which I shall assume has something to do with this woman?" He asked, pointing at Lilith. "What's your name? And please tell us why you're here and be honest about it, we've just spent the last half a day being consistently harassed by her", he pointed at Skylar(Who looked like Elizabeth) "Doppleganger." He then pointed his finger at Elizabeth, jokingly accusing her of being a fake, but Simon said it in such a tone that it was difficult to tell if he was joking.

Trebizond

Trebizond

The beast’s heat might have been felt by those attacking it as they came close, yet, it was not enough to save the monstrous creature. It let out a dying screech as it was hacked into, stabbed, and shot at, violently convulsing as it fell to the ground. The creature’s mechanical insides tore at the giant’s organic bits from the inside out, culminating in a bloody explosion that spread a wave of heat and and splattered blood over several yards.

The mechanical bits were revealed to be some sort of deformed, broken robot that was using the body of the man to keep itself together, perhaps it was even feeding at him. It looked like it was once humanoid, but had sustained damage from something that caused it to become no more than a hunk of salvage. It struggled to try and reassemble itself, vainly trying to pull its parts together. But, it was futile, and the eyes of the robot went dim. The undead became dead once more, and fell to the ground.

“Well, holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. What the fuck was that?” Scrappy remarked.
