Secrets of the Raven

Elizabeth can see from the aura of the dog that was conflicted by something, the colors shifting rapidly and the energy being turbulent as the dog was struggling with something. Before she can ask the dog what was wrong the dog ran off, knocking the fish and chips from it's container and making Elizabeth fall on her arse in surprise.

The witch got up and chased after the dog, glad that it was running to the inn-pub hybrid. Elizabeth would see the dog take a turn and when she reached the last sighted location she saw that it was gone. "The hell? Where did it go?" Elizabeth looked around for the dog, trying to see if the dog somehow found itself a hiding spot.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith was slightly dismayed when the woman came after her. It seemed that she would not give up so easily. Lilith decided that if she wanted to save this stranger from the danger she was in, she'd have to scare her off.

The mist flew down behind the woman, and began coalescing. Lilith's normal form rose from the cloud, now standing directly behind the confused stranger. "You're making a mistake coming here." she said quietly, looking down enough so that her hood conceals the uncovered half of her face. "You don't even realize the amount of danger you've put yourself in." She reached a glove hand out and pointed ahead down the alley. "Leave now, and that will be the end of it. You'll be safe." she said, barely louder than a whisper. "Please." she added, sincerely.

Secrets of the Raven

Trevor looked carefully at the note in his fingers, then slipped it into his pocket. It wasn't much, but it was something, and it gave a location of interest that they can go to after they were finished here. He then looked over the cellphone. He had seen a lot of those ever since he arrived here, and he wasn't sure of what they were. People were constantly holding them in their hands, sometimes talking to them. Was it some form of communication in this world? How did it work? All questions he was probably not going to bother to ask.

His attention was then turned to a loud noise coming out of the bathroom. For the love of God it better not be that damned spider demon again. Trevor sighed and followed closely behind, his hand resting close to the handle of Vampire Killer. Three entered the bathroom to disover that the noise was coming from the pipes. The sight of them instantly reminded him of Dracula's castle, with the labyrinths of metal tubing that filled the place. While his mind wanted to wander back to that accursed place, he had to focus on the investigation, whether he wanted to or not. As they were the closest, he started with searching the four drawers.
What is a sig? A miserable little pile of words! But enough talk!
Have at you!

Gosh, so many people were thanking her today that if Kirika were a lesser girl lacking in devotion, she'd blush. Thankfully, she wasn't and all she replied with was a lazy wave of goodbye that was quickly obscured as smoke filled the area, eliciting groans of disappointment from the guests as the Securitybot began marching towards the remaining hostiles, namely the glowing Aestus. While this was ongoing, the accompanying Drones weren't idle. They flew forwards in perfect synchronization, cameras picking up nothing but smoke yet still able to follow the falling hostiles even as some guests and furniture were frozen solid.

Meanwhile, those that fell soon landed on solid ground. The floors were coated in soulless gray, a stark contrast to the rather extravagant pageantry of the vehicles parked there. Everything from sleek motorcycles to hulking monster trucks were put on display, helping Teru's rather humble police car stand out. Some of the vehicles there, curiously enough, had their doors left open, engines rumbling even as the Drones exited the broken window and stayed far above the parking lot, cameras trained at the group below.

Julian gulped as she tried to formulate a plan as the robot walked towards them. She could grab Aestus and run, but then Jeff would be left behind to the mercy of the robot. Plus....if she turned her back on it there's no telling it wouldn't fire on her. She could duck under a table or behind a piece of furniture, but would that block the bullets?

Julian felt her head spin faster as the robot headed towards them. What would they do? If that thing attacked, they'd probably be shredded to bits in minutes.

Finally, Julian reacted. She did something she didn't think she would do ever. And she didn't know why.

Julian pulled out her pistol and fired at the robot.

Empty Wallets, New York Administration District, Fett Kath's Mansion

Well, it seemed whoever happened to be running the show around here wasn't very keen on the word "Diplomacy", and had decided to call in security. Alas, even in the distant past (?) (or so Jeff thought this was), the meaning of "violence" wasn't lost to humanity. Oh well, so be that way. From a quick analysis of the situation, it seemed everybody else was either gone or about to leave. While Jeff would've preferred to make a run for it, there were a few matters he needed to attend to.

For one, Julian had fired a shot from her pistol (Jeff wasn't that familiar with 20-21st century antique weapons, but he believed the caliber of the pistol to be ~9mm) at one of the security bots marching towards Jeff. A surprisingly good shot, Jeff observed, but seeing that the security bot he faced was likely armored in some sort of titanium-graphene alloy, the bullet simply scratched its paint, which probably triggered one of the bot's defense mechanisms. Glancing over to Julian, he gave her a quick thumbs up before taking his own pistol out.

"Alright, power output set to low-medium. Let's see what this does..." Jeff mumbled to himself as he took aim and fired. A single luminescent blue energy beam arced out of his pistol at an immense velocity and went straight through whatever armor material the robot was made out of, leaving a foot wide hole within the bot's midsection.

Jeff briefly smiled.

Then he heard a large explosion from the space behind the former security bot. It appeared he'd set the power on his pistol too high, which probably resulted in him damaging something he wasn't supposed to. Judging by the muffled screams he heard, something bad had happened.

It was at that moment Jeff knew... he fucked up.

Looking over to Julian, Jeff said one word: "RUN!"

Seeing that he had started a problem, Jeff knew he would have to somewhat finish the work. The bots were after him and they didn't look friendly. From his officer training (which Jeff honestly didn't pay much attention to during military school), orders in dealing with hostiles was simple: neutralize them. Jeff's #1 objective at the moment was to run away, but he saw no problem in destroying a few pieces of capitalist junk metal.

Adjusting the power output of his pistol, Jeff fired a few bursts at the incoming drones, taking out a number of them, before shooting at a nearby window and barrelling his way out.

"You guys ready to go!?" He shouted at whoever remained inside. "Cuz I am!" Jeff knew that the longer he stayed idle, the more danger he was in. He cursed to himself for forgetting to carry along a few grenades.

Fett Kath's Party
Julian had never meant to make that shot. Especially now, since it was nearly useless-the bullet merely bounced off of the robot's futuristic armor. It did nearly nothing.

Crap, WHAT DO I DO NOW!? She thought to herself, feeling her feet freeze to the floor. The next thing that she heard horrified her-Jeff shooting the robot to bits and the screams that illicited afterwards.

"W-wait! We weren't going to hurt anyone-" She shouted, but broke off mid sentence when Jeff blew up a window and ran out. As more robots headed towards them, Julian turned to Aestus, her wide eyes filled with fear. "Come on, we have to go!"

As one robot came dangerously to her left side, Julian felt her lungs heaving in faster and faster as she was about to asphyxiate, and she broke out in cold sweat. Even worse, the nerves in her arm were tensing up.

"Oh no...."

Her hand balled into a fist and rushed towards one of the robots.

"Noo....no no no!"

The robot fell back immediately colliding into a table as Julian rubbed her sore fist, shrinking back and trying to retake control from her growing feelings of pure killing intent. She squeezed her heart area with her hand, attempting to slow her breathing to calm herself.
"Crap....I did not want my body to lose control at this time."

Aestus suggested that they leave before something worse happen. Well, something worse happened, and now they were surrounded by mechanical soldiers.

“Looks like Ferrastu all over again, the revolutionary spirit wasn’t killed off there, and it won’t be killed off here. You two might want to get down or get out, though” Aestus remarked to Jeff ad Jules with a small laugh, remembering the old Siege of Ferrastu which he and his comrades won single-handedly. He was proud of his revolutionary work, and now that he was an enemy of the state, he planned to spread the revolution to wherever he was.

“Down with the oppressor, up with the people!” Aestus shouted, ripping off some of the fur on his armor and spraying it on his axe, before charging at the robot that Jeff had shot, and slicing it in half with his axe. Aestus grabbed the two halves of the bisected robot and threw them at the other robots, resulting in two violent explosions that spread shrapnel all across the room. The fur had contained organic but volatile materials, which spread inside the electrical parts of the robot and even got near some of the munitions. Many of the people, guards and guests alike, had been injured, though the damage to the mechanical guards was minimal.

As the enemies poured in, Aestus wanted to continue to hack at them, man and machine alike, before he noticed the state of Jules. Her attacks hadn’t done anything against the enemy, and she couldn’t defend herself right now. He let out a small sigh, and grabbed her before jumping out of the window and landing smoothly on his axe, now more animate floating ray once more. He gently let Jules down onto the back of it, and turned to Jeff.
“Want a lift?” Aestus asked Jeff, extending his hand out.

At the party itself, Fett Kath had accepted the involuntary but bold sacrifices of the people around him, and pushed the bloodied bodies off of his massive frame as he struggled to get up. After a fierce fight, he gained his balance, and on his stubby legs, he rushed to Kirika.
“What are you doing!? Kill those filthy revolutionaries!” He screeched loudly, the spit hitting Kirika’s face.
“Someone get me my Court Ruled Suicide, I’ve got people to kill and deaths to frame!” He yelled, ordering for someone to retrieve his favorite weapon, the Fett K67 “Court Ruled Suicide” Grenade Launcher. Though usage of the weapon was usually recreational, you could say Fett Kath never worked a day in his life, because he was a rich capitalist who paid people to do that for him. Oh, and because he enjoyed blowing shit up.

Rise of the Masked Man

Elm's Lab, New Bark Town, Johto
Professor Elm shook Moira and Percy's hands. Before he could continue, he heard a sound behind him.

Elm turned to face Link, who had picked up a Pokeball.
"Oh, that's a pokeball, it's a tool used by Pokemon trainers to assist in the transportation of Pokemon. I believe that one is registered to a chikorita."

Elm then went on to explain how trainers went to special classes to learn how to survive in the wilderness and care for Pokemon, before getting a license to start their journey as a form of rite of passage. He continued on for some time, before Ty gave a strange gesture with his hand, moving his finger in a circle through the air.

"Oh, right, my apologies. I tend to get carried away..." Elm said, before turning to a computer at the back of the room. There was a tube next to it, not too unlike the tubes used at a drive through bank. After a short amount of time, two pokeballs came through the tube, which Elm handed to Gold.

Gold let the Pokemon out from the balls; The first was a very fluffy-looking white creature. It looked more like a cloud with red and blue spots than anything else. The second was a very overgrown beetle, dark blue in color, with a horn large enough to rival most shovels.

The first, a togetic named Pi, smiled cheerfully as it floated, seemingly weightless. The second, a Heracross named Hera, smiled with a determined look, ready for whatever the group needed.

"Well, I guess it's time to go out into the woods, and see where those missing Pokemon went." Gold stated, plainly.

Gold's mom stopped him for another moment, giving him a hug.
"Be careful. And be sure to call if you need any help."

"I got it, Mom. I'll be fine." Gold dismissed.

As Gold and Ty exited the lab, Pi and Hera flew closely behind, the latter's wings creating a loud buzzing noise and a noticeable breeze. There wasn't a set path into the woods, so Gold and Ty walked ahead of the group, pushing brush and shrubbery out of their way whenever needed.

"I wonder where Team Rocket's set up their base." Ty said aloud. "The middle of the woods doesn't quite fit their M-O, though, so that's fuckin' weird..."

Courthouse, Pallet Town, Kanto
An elderly, rather grouchy-looking lady sat behind a tall podium, overlooking the large courtroom. The room was brightly lit by the sunlight, filtered by large windows on either side of the room. The room felt old, and if someone were to look at the various wooden fixtures, window panes, and pew-like benches, one would tell that the room was at least one hundred years old. However, it was very well maintained, and had modern lighting systems in the ceiling.

"Case number 402391. The Mt. Silver Park Trust vs Audrey Famei." a sharply-dressed court room officer read aloud.

After a few moments, the judge looked up from her papers, and glanced over to the jury. She then glanced over to the prosecution, nodding.

"Prosecution has the floor for opening statements."

A rather large, well-built man in a dark suit looked upwards from behind the desk.
"The charges we bring forward, for the record, are of Excessive Retribution during defense of self, and of Second Degree Murder. From the evidence gathered at the scene, and the state of the body of one Thomas Erikson, we have reason to believe Ms. Famei intentionally killed the man, in an attempt to consume him as food."

The judge, more tired than anything, turned to face Phoenix Wright and Avarice.
"And how does the Defense plead?"

In the bench directly behind the Defense would sit the three witnesses; Madi, Muffet, and Officer Jenny.

Secrets of the Raven

Agent A watched as Claudia spoke through the laptop. For some reason, he expected her to meet in person again, though she was likely too busy at the moment.

"Everything is as good as I could hope for." Agent A said.

Then Claudia asked about stealth and subterfuge. Certainly, an interesting question, given the current circumstances.
"I'd like to think I'd be okay at it." Mr. Pershing stated. He looked over to the pictures of Elizabeth Ashwood.

"What would you have me do, exactly?" he asked, expecting the group to have already come up with a plan.

Empty Wallets

The head of security and the robots were unwilling to answer Teru, and in a matter of seconds all hell broke loose. Smoke filled the room, and everyone began evacuating as the robots bared down on them.

Holding his breath and crouching, Teru made his way towards the broken window and tried looking out. His vision was blurred by tears from the stinging smoke, but he could make out that it wasn't a far drop to the ground. The man climbed out of the window and jumped, rolling forward as he landed on the ground.

Sprinting towards the parking lot, he could see several cars that were, for some inexplicable reason, running and with their doors open. Even stranger, however, was the presence of...

いいえ、それはできません! the man thought to himself, in disbelief.

It was a black Nisan Skyline. He read the license plate, and sure enough, it was the unmarked police car assigned to him. He pulled out his keys as he approached the door, and stuck in the car key. Still in disbelief, he was able to unlock the door.

Teru quickly got inside, fastened his seatbelt, and turned the car on. There was a car parked in front of him, so he threw his car into reverse. Looking behind him, the man sped out of the parking lot backwards. He noticed two of the other strange people he had met rushing out of the building-One of them was the lady who had lost her coat.

Teru quickly spun the steering wheel to the right and hit the brakes, forcing the car's front end to swerve around at a 90-degree angle. The tires let out a screech as two dark marks were left on the pavement.

"Come on!" the man shouted out in a hurry, shifting the car into drive. "Those robots won't be too far behind!"

    The Multiverse’s Most Dangerous Game
    Inkopolis
    Adrian Westwoods

    __________________________________

"That definitely did something!" Adrian shouted, noting how the Cobra had blasted away a small section of the monster's scales leaving a sizable gap in its scaly armor. Sizable — in his terms, that is. After leaping off the building, Adrian flipped backwards so that he'd land on his feet rather than his head, slowing his descent down to an adjacent building with this thruster as the monster reared its head back.

A loud humming noise was heard as the monster's scales lit up a hot white, triggering his Achilles armor's Geiger country as clicks and crackles went off around him. "Is the monster about to set off a nuke?! Oh fuck that. I'm outta here."

"Move it, Adrian! You're right in its path!"

"The fuck do you think I'm doing, Dare?"

Hauling ass out of there post haste, Adrian rapidly spun around on his feet and bounded across several buildings with long, thruster-powered strides. He leaped off the side of one of the buildings, cruising down to the ground as he quickly reached friendly lines, sliding to a halt besides the blue bodysuit wearing lady and the rest of the cast battling the monster. A wizard of sorts cast a spell, surrounding the others on the ground in a barrier of seemingly wind that, presumably, would've protected them from the incoming blast. Adrian locked his armor and braced for impact just in case, but relaxed when the beam was fired, blowing away debris and skyscrapers alike, but harmlessly being dissipated by the wind barrier.

Once the barrier had disappeared and the monster ceased its attack, Adrian got back onto his feet and raised his Cobra MPRAW back onto his shoulder. Slowly, but steadily, the gigantic lizard had been driven back to the shore that, apparently, it had come from, judging by the massive trail of death and destruction that had been left from the shoreline.

From atop one of the buildings overlooking the shore, Adrian readied his Cobra for yet another shot. At nearly half a kilometer away and with a projectile moving at such high speeds at such a large target, missing wasn't on his mind at all. "I've got eyes on, Dare. I need to lower my aim?"

"Not at all, Adrian," Dare spoke into his ears. "You're good to fire."

Then he did just that. He braced for the recoil as the shoulder-fired railgun clicked and fired once more, the projectile leaving behind a vapor cone as it gradually picked up speed, before slamming into the monster's hide once more and blowing away more scales on its skin. "That's a lot of damage! Hopefully the others'll chime in and start kicking ass too!"

"Oh, please. Knowing you, you're probably going to take all the credit at the end."

"Shut up."

    Fleet Battle above Vega II
    Elsewhere Universe 0002
    CFS Halberd
    The Commercial Federation

    __________________________________

The Abomination Titan kept moving. And fast.

Even after being shot at thrice by Vega II's orbital guns, which, by themselves, were capable of gutting an abomination destroyer in one shot, the Titan slugged on, its powerful shields and tough hull allowing it to simply ignore most of the battle around it and, by extent, the massive amounts of damage it was taking. Despite its size, it was becoming increasingly difficult for a smaller ship like the Halberd, a mere Commercial Federation Cruiser, to keep up with the massive Abomination flagship. Had it not been for the Titan's own powerful engines, it would've been overtaken by Vega II's gravity well by now and been in atmosphere, which would've led to a myriad of issues for everyone on the ground.

The Halberd's captain looked on grimly at the sight before him. With such a massive ship all it took was a single barrage from one of the Titan's hundreds of laser cannons and mass drivers and they'd be nothing more than a million pieces of shrapnel in Vega II's orbit. Them being in the enemy flagship's blind spot was bright, yes, but it was the only thing keeping them from certain death. He had to wonder, though, why were the Abominations so interested in Vega II?

"Captain Arc," Sigma came online, appearing on the holo-pedestal before the ship's Commander. "At this rate, the Abomination ship will be treading atmosphere soon. I recommend we pull back to a safer range and let the orbital defenses begin their assault."

"Negative, Sigma. Keep us trailing that Titan. I know it has a weak spot, and I intend to exploit it. Prepare to fire our primary weapon, single shot of the HMAC (Heavy Mass Accelerator Cannon)."

"Very well, Captain. Coils are ready to fire on your command."

Captain Arc thought deeply for a moment, watching the battle outside of his ship. The Halberd shuddered and shook as explosions went off all around it, glowing blue railgun rounds from the Super Heavy Mass Accelerator Cannons (SHMAC) guns situated around Vega's orbit slamming against the Titan's thick shields whilst the extra-versal fleet's torpedoes, somehow making their way through the nigh impenetrable shielding of the enemy flagship as if they ignored it, slammed against the Titan's hull, to no avail. Seemingly, their assault against the flagship had been nothing more than a tickle to it, as it continued barreling and blasting its way through everything in its way, friend and foe.

Sigma perked up once more. "Alert: enemy strike craft are breaking off from the Titan. Shall we engage, Captain?"

"Engage with the flak guns, then launch our drone fighters to interdict. That flagship's our focus now. Fire."

On command, a white-blue flash appeared from the bow of the Halberd, the ship's main spinal gun firing off a ferric tungsten slug at near light speed velocity at the Titan. As expected, it did nothing to the Abomination Titan, but, as the Commercial strike craft engaged their Abomination counterparts, it did bring up a viable weak point that the Captain could use in the future...

Then, a communications officer came on. "Sir, we've got the new fleet on the line. Voice and holo comms."

"Put it on."

Upon activating, the holographic image of, presumably, one of the commanders in the new fleet, appeared before him, informing him of his acknowledgement of sending in support but inquiring about the Abominations they were facing. The Captain prepared his reply right away. "Admiral J'Ren, this is Captain Arc, CFS Halberd, Commercial Federation Vega Sector Defense Fleet. Thanks for the support. These hostiles you're facing now are known as the Abominations, a race of violent humanoids that have been harassing us and pretty much everyone else in the galaxy for the past decade. On the ground, they're a nuisance enough to deal with — the bastards are way bigger than us, stronger and faster and just as smart as we are, but in space is a different story. The bigger their ship, the more important it is: right now we're mostly dealing with the small fries, a few Abomination Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers, and Carriers, but that one massive mother is the Abomination Titan, a flagship. Someone of high importance is onboard that ship right now and it's making a beeline towards Vega II at a very frightening speed. I'd ask for as many guns trailed on that thing as possible but we're pretty much doing nothing to that ship as it stands now, which brings me to my next point:"

A holographic image of the Abomination Titan was then projected in place of Admiral Arc's appearance. "The Titan lacks significant point defense, meaning that anything smaller than a corvette can pretty easily evade its bigger guns. That also means that anything larger than a corvette is toast in a broadside. What I'm asking is simple: Any bombers, corvettes, or gunboats — anything small enough and fast enough to fit within that category, needs to be on that Titan's tail trying to hit its engines. If we can't take it out, maybe gravity can. Captain Arc, out."

As soon as he ended the channel, however, an alert came up over the captain's command module and everyone else's screens — it was from the Abominations, strangely. Perplexed, the Captain raised his eyebrow. "Are the Abominations trying to jam us?"

"Negative, Captain," Sigma said. "It appears it's an... OPFOR communications burst, fleet-wide, to all ships in the sector. Shall we play it?"

Reluctantly, Captain Arc swallowed. "Play it."

The holovid started, revealing the ugly and frightening face of the Abomination commander known simply as The Warden, on the screen. His black, soulless eyes were staring straight at whomever viewed the message, his mouth underneath a breathing apparatus and vocalizer as he chuckled in a sinister tone at the fleets engaging his Flagship. He seemed to be growling, too, his voice muffled by both the static of the holographic comms and the metallic tint of his vocalizer.

"Pitiful scum... Poor wretches... This makes beating you all the more saddening to me, knowing how fast this battle ended. It is I — the Warden. Harbinger of Death, Deliverer of Destruction, and Massacrer of Worlds. To the Children of Thanatos and your... mongrel allies... you are beaten. Your fleet shall be reduced to rubble and your world turned to glass, its inhabitants food for my war machine. I have come to claim what is rightfully mine. This sector is now under my control, but I am giving you a chance: Stand down, and prepare for occupation, or stay and fight, and die like the rest of your pathetic race have done so to my sword.

"There's no way in hell we're giving The Warden Vega," Captain Arc said. "I want wings of fighters and bombers on that Titan, ASAP. Organize them into Strike Groups one and Two, target the Titan's engines. There's a chance that we can use gravity against it and destroy it with Vega's gravity well, but it's slim. It's a chance nevertheless—" Klaxons suddenly began to blare as a shadow was cast above the Halberd. The Abomination Titan, now behind the cruiser, had begun to charge its main gun, producing light comparable to a sun down its spinal main gun. "Contact is now behind us, charging primary gun!"

The Captain whipped his head around to the tactical officer. "Divert power to the rear shields and get us behind that thing, now. Make it fast!"

Lasers bound for other craft zipped past the Halberd as it kicked itself into full gear, swinging around to face the engines of the Titan once more. Its SMAC fired, eliminating an Abomination frigate that had come too close as it returned to its spot, matching its speed with the Titan that, just now, had begun to fire. An orange beam surrounded by red, spiraling rings was launched from the spacecraft, acting as a lance in space which easily cut through ship and space station alike whilst also carving a sizable trail of destruction where it had landed on the surface below, before the beam cut off. The rest of the Titan's hundreds of weapons cut through nearby Commercial Federation battleships and cruisers like it was a hot knife through butter, but that wasn't the worst of their problem: The Titan simply slammed through two Commercial ships unfortunate enough to get in its way and, after tanking a shot from the SHMAC gun in orbit, ran straight through the station which was in front of it as if it were nothing.

The Titan had made a clean cut straight through lines, though not without taking a bit of a beating. Still, though, seemingly nothing was getting through, even as the strike craft from the Halberd swarmed around it like angry bees. Below the Titan, pods were practically dumped by the literal boatloads — along with a big one —, plummeting down to the surface and heating up on re-entry: The ship was preparing to drop in an army to the surface.

The Captain then knew what had to come next: a distress call.

"CFS Halberd, on fleet-wide distress call to all friendly ships in the area: The Abomination flagship has breached Vega II's defensive peremiter and is above the surface dropping in hostile troops as we speak. I need as much strike craft on that ship as possible: It's tough, but those shields won't hold forever, and those guns are too big to track a tiny ship like a bomber! Be advised: there's several dozen Abom fighters surrounding it: we need those gone before we go for the Flagship!"

The Abomination grunts, in particular, were the most threatening group as of now, shrugging off bullets with their hides and power armor shields as they ran across the streets, some just fresh out of the pods that slammed into the ground moments ago, others still rabid from the ensuing battle around them, covered in the blood of their enemies and craving the taste of human flesh.

Just as packs of Abomination soldiers ran throughout the streets in search of victims, as did Myrkenn, in search of Abominations to kill. Her search for trouble came seemingly at random: a group of very much out-of-place people huddled under a roof, taking cover from the debris and Abominations that fell from the sky. The bodies of Abominations and Commercial troops alike were strewn asunder, but their little hiding spot wouldn't last for long: at the other side of the street, making their way down the road, was an Abomination kill squad, consisting of a mixed group of Abomination grunts, one sergeant, and a Heavy, who carried a large rotary laser gun in his arms while the rest carried a mixed armament of melee, laser, and pulse weaponry.

One of the guys underneath the roof said something, which caused the Abominations — who had excellent hearing — to start meandering their way over to the source of the sound. Myrkenn swore, preparing to reach for Ghosthawk slung on the back hardpoint of her armor before she paused, instead continuing to look at the scene below. "Comet, there's five of them: four regulars. One heavy. What do you think my odds are?"

"Hmm... I'd say fair. I'm confident with three - make that four - kills on the enemy," The robotic bird said. "Why?"

She dropped her gear to the side, her helmet assembling itself over her head as she, now much lighter without all her extra weaponry, leaped off the side of the building she was on, right on top of the Abominations below. Her shields crackled and popped from the impact, allowing her to remain practically unharmed from the drop as she formed a small crater by her feet upon impact, immediately planting her hands to the ground and channeling as much mental energy as she could into her hands.

A translucent dome formed around Myrkenn, expanding steadily outwards as the Abominations she'd landed beside were blown away by the blast. Obviously, this wasn't enough to kill them, so she stood up at once, ready to face the first Abomination that rushed her with a polearm-like weapon with a plasma bladed end. She immediately took a fighting stance and, with her full might, thrust her forearm upwards, blocking the stab sent at her and sending the polearm up into the air. Myrkenn then sent her leg out on a kick accompanied by a satisfying crunch as her foot connected to the Abomination's side, sending him tumbling over onto the ground with a painful groan.

Myrkenn caught the caught the falling bladed weapon and brought it down onto the fallen Abomination's face, pulling the weapon out as quickly as she could, aiming it towards the incoming hostiles that were charging for her. She lobbed the spear like a javelin at the biggest target, the Abomination Heavy, who took the plasma pike to the face and flopped to the ground while the rest came in for close combat, either using their weapons as improvised clubs or trying to get a shot on the woman. Myrkenn recovered from a brutal slam to the side of her helmet with a knee down hard onto the Abomination's own, wringing the weapon from his arms as she swung it to the side like a club herself, stunning the Abomination as she finished him off with a clean headshot, spraying viscera onto his two other friends. She spun back around as the fourth Abomination grunt pounced on her, attempting to throw her to the ground as he growled and roared, slobbering over her armor with his deformed, monster-like face. She dug her feet into the ground and concentrated her mental strength, simply lifting him up off the ground and throwing him over her shoulder towards a nearby store. He recovered quickly, though, sprinting at her though quickly falling to three shots to the chest, and one to the head.

The last rushed her with a rabid roar, a hammer-like weapon in his arms that he swung down upon her. She dodged just before watching his buddy explode beside her from the hammer strike, using its weight to kick away the heavy black weapon, which slid to the side of the street. Both Myrkenn and the Abomination struggled for the weapon, but Myrkenn was on top of the abomination first, sprinting in front of him as she sent a powerful roundhouse kick right for the Abomination's neck. Her target was sent staggering backwards, choking as he clenched his neck, giving Myrkenn a window of opportunity to sprint forwards and knock the Abomination across the face with a punch, then another to his gut, causing him to puke a concoction of vomit and blood onto the floor. Before he could react, though, Myrkenn had the hammer - slamming it down onto the Abomination's face to let a pulpy mass of brains, blood, and guts spill all over the place.

She sighed, stepping up over the mess that she had made as the looked on at the group taking cover underneath the roof. All around them several more pods full of Abominations were inbound, giving them two options: they could run away, or they could stay and fight. Myrkenn was definitely choosing the latter.

"Wanna live?" She called out to the folks on the ground. "I suggest picking up one of those guns and staying put unless you wanna get fragged while trying to escape.

Rise of the Masked Man | Avarice

Alright. So, if you want to win your case, here's some things you'll need to know. One, you're not precisely human; so they can't really judge you based on those laws. Two; you're not of legal age or aware of the fact you're in their country. Their laws shouldn't apply. Third, you're a goddamn genocidal maniac from what I've heard of you. That's not something you need to know. It's something you need to forget and suppress at all costs. These judges have poles the length of galaxies up their asses, so any funny business won't be appreciated. You got that Audrey?

"I would like to plead, uhh..."

These slips of paper were confusing. Her little lawyer buddy hadn't been much help. She'd managed to head into town, get some coffee away from the police and met up with some guy who claimed to be in-the-know about legal matters. Of course this was technically in violation of her detainment policies but the police didn't know. It's pretty easy to evade people when all you gotta do is carefully extract your brain from your body; and bam! Instant doppelganger. Disposing of the body was an issue in the morning, especially when the screaming began but she'd just explained it away as part of her biology. She flexed her two whole and very obviously operational arms. Much better. Healed and all tidied up for a court case. These shoes were uncomfortable. This suit was fucking ridiculous.

"Not guilty, based on, umm... because I didn't do it. Yeah! I didn't do the crime! Look I get that you think I went a little overboard but when was the last time you cared about how your food got slaughtered? I mean come on! I didn't even get to finish eating his body. It's not like people can be charged for wanting to kill someone but never following through with it, right? Anyways, I'm sure my representative will defend me superbly. Wright! Come on out! It's your time to shine buddy!"

Terminus | Eira

The falling debris fell only harder. Some more directly than others. Buildings toppled as great projectiles rendered their entire structures to pieces. Chunks of rubble threatened to crush the city. Capsules fell from the sky, obviously designed to carry some sort of destructive package. This really wasn't a very competent invasion. Why would the enemy destroy the very city they wanted to claim? Unless they viewed it as worthless. Was this sport? Did they want something the cities didn't have like... seawater? The justification for such wars was irrelevant. What mattered now was fighting against those who were prepared to burn this planet clean. Always a guardian of life, Eira prepared to grab Tupac and run but was interrupted by the appearance of a man in a long coat, holding a firearm of some sort.

"Don't ask me where we are. Some kind of planet, I wouldn't know. I'd assume you knew better but considering the circumstances knowledge isn't exactly in high demand. Come on. Let's find somewhere safe."

A woman appeared out of nowhere, dressed in thick armour and wielding some terrifying assortment of abilities and weaponry, presumably psionic in nature. A great blast of force tossed aside half a dozen enemy soldiers, as the followup dispatched each of them with characteristic brutality and efficiency. This was someone Eira could get behind, if only because it lent a semblance of safety to her current predicament. More soldiers were approaching from every direction. The woman commanded them to pick up a weapon or two, prepare to fight on the abominations' terms. Ms. Kodak held no such reservations about technique and weaponry.

"Thank you for the offer but I don't think this is the time to be worrying about killing as many of these creatures as we can. There are millions of them and just a dozen of us. Whatever difference we make will be utterly inconsequential. Let's focus on getting out of this battle before asking ourselves how many we managed to kill, yeah?"

Then again, they were surrounded. Eira let out a guttural growl. She was not going to die here with so much unfinished business. A group of abominations came running out of a building, apparently having just dispatched the residents inside. Disgusting. They didn't even bother to use the dead for any purpose. Eira charged the triumphantly screaming soldiers. She slashed at one with keratin and bone, first knocking his weapon aside then ramming a thin spear into the bottom of his chin. The already dead abomination seemed to melt inside his armour, creeping down the length of the weapon that killed him and being absorbed into Eira's wrist. She reached out with one hand, pulling another in close with a series of fleshy appendages and ramming two clawed hands into the beast's chest, ripping him open with a loud and sticky tearing noise. A pulse shot threatened to decapitate her, taking a chunk out of her lower jaw. Apparently this abom was particularly angry about Eira's murder of his two companions. She came in close, grappling with the brawler's heavy musculature. She twisted around his side, a fluid and continuous motion, before landing a strike to the back of his neck, pulling the spine out of his back; loose giblets of muscle and strings of nervous tissue still hanging onto it. She brushed off some of the blood that now thoroughly caked her body, putting a finger to the missing portion of her face and mending her jaw from there on out. She turned to talk with Myrkenn, even despite the ongoing battle around them.

"So, it seems that we've landed in the middle of a war. Mind explaining where we are and who exactly we're fighting? In fact, I never caught your name. I'm Eira Kodak. Volutaar of the Vazjuma Sarkic family. I think it's your turn to share now."

He could see everything going on up there. The blast of plasma, the resonant ping of regular gunfire. These drones were relentless. And there was Fett Kath himself, ordering security to take them down. He hoped Kirika didn't get in any trouble. After all, this capricious and wealthy man could only hold the most derisive of attitudes toward his staff. Then again, he was sure Kirika could handle herself; especially considering the way she didn't quite fit in with the rest of this world. Maybe she was like them, taken from another reality prematurely. Ah. Fantasies and theories aside, he had to take a course of action.

The suit of armour and the woman came tumbling out of the window, followed by the man with the pistol. He quickly jumped onto Jeff's car, landing on top of the trunk. Whoever was left would either get on soon, or find their own means of escape. He looked back toward the drones, already pouring out of the windows. They would not be merciful. His arms grew broad, his forearms strong and metallic. Whatever projectiles they had to throw at the car would have to be stopped, even if it meant taking the blow on the vehicle's behalf. A large circular shield grew out of his left arm. To some it would look like any ordinary slab of protective metal but upon closer inspection it would seem to have bonded to his arm at the molecular level, inseparably attached to his body.

"We don't have time for this! Wait for everyone to find themselves a car or get on and then book it as fast as you can! I'll try keeping us alive."

Terminus | Mary

Well shit. Now the ship was falling through the atmosphere. The Vigilance was taking more hits than it could dish out but thankfully the majority of the "Abomination" fleet was preoccupied dealing with the larger ships and planetary defences. Honestly she felt kind of useless in this engagement, considering the underwhelming size and performance of her current ship. Could AIs feel insecure? She didn't want to ask. Sighing, an image popped up on the communications array, an image of the Abomination leader. Blah blah, long spiel. Then a series of communiques from the more coherent and more sensible planetary defence officer.

"Small fighters, eh? Take out the strike craft surrounding the titan... I think we both know what needs to be done now."
"Scott you do not permission to commandeer a PERSEUS craft."
"Well why not?"
"You don't have the requisite training. Handing it over to you would be grossly irresponsible."
"Commander Cather has proven himself adept at improvising before. I recommend you make up your minds; planet fall will occur within twelve hours."
"Come on! It's not as if anyone else can use it, right?"
"Christ, fine! Command won't be there to bite me in the ass anyway. Scott, take the drone. I hope you know what you're doing. CIDS, scramble all our automated defences. I'll stay up here to maintain communications."
"Thanks captain, I won't let you down."

It wasn't long before an eagle-shaped ship the size of several buses fell out of the Vigilance, covered in glowing diodes and lights. Scott Cather, decorated field commander in the SCP 610 Ural incident and apparently 'adept at improvising' sat behind one of the most expensive and overtly destructive pieces of hardware in the Coalition arsenal. He spun by an abom fighter, discharging arcs of plasma. The heat itself wasn't enough to deal any real damage; it was simply a conduit for the 50 terawatt electrical discharge. The fighter disintegrated into a cloud of disparate base particles, completely sundered of any recognisable form or shape. A thaumatologically keyed missile streaked through space, turning another fighter in elemental carbon and exotic matter. He pumped his fist in the air, whooping with delight.

"Yeah! You see that? Opal, keep my tail clean! I'm heading in for another sweep!"

The Vigilance however, was mostly busy keeping itself alive in a sea of garbage and projectiles that make things explode. Mary was isolated in the bridge, watching a video of the Warden play over and over, listening to the pleas of Captain Arc. God dammit. This battle was spiralling out of control. If they didn't end this soon they might even set a new record for fastest court-martial since the beginning of a mission. She put up a screen, hoping to talk to the Captain. If not, well, they were only one ship. No self-respecting military officer was going to care about such small fry.

"Captain Arc, this is Mary Rupert of the Global Occult Coalition Interdimensional Vehicle Vigilance speaking on behalf of the Council of 108 and United Nations of Earth. I would like to enquire as to why these 'abominations' are assaulting your planet and what role my ship may play in the efforts to neutralise this threat. I am in possession of significant offensive ordnance that I may direct against this enemy fleet. Respond ASAP. Over."

Before Julian knew it, she had been swept up by Aestus and placed on a giant manta ray. Aestus seemed a little dissapointed at not fighting the robots instead, and Julian felt kind of bad for him for ruining his fun. However, she was also relieved that they wouldn’t be causing more civilian collateral.

”S-sorry for ruining your fun.”

She hung on tight for Aestus and nodded to Jeff. “Come on.”

Seeing a viable means to escape, Jeff quickly nodded to both Aestus and Julian, and jumped on the manta ray. Giving a quick thanks, Jeff reconfigured the power setting of his pistol once again and proceeded to begin blasting at whatever guards and drones were tailing him (and the others).

"Thanks for the save", Jeff said to Aestus. "Definitely beats hijacking one of those hover cars down there. Haven't driven one of those junk piles in ages."

Elm's Lab

Link bit back a sigh of annoyance as he half listened to Elm drone on and on about 'how to obtain a license' among other things. He had expected the man to answer his question, but not to this extent. Thankfully, Ty made some strange motion with a claw and Elm stopped talking, then went and brought out two more of these 'Pokeballs'. Seconds later, two creatures appeared, one a large crab, the other was what appeared to be a floating cloud. 'Hera' and 'Pi' walked up to Link, as if to greet him, before the group then left the building and entered a patch of forest nearby.
After a while, the Hero of Winds asked a question that had been on his mind for a while. "Who is Team Rocket? I know we fought them, and that they're evil, but who or what are they?"

Madi

Madi's eye twitched as she heard Avarice call herself not guilty.
Is she fucking serious right now? Oh, she's about to regret saying that....
Madi stood up and quickly shoved away the words she was going to say, instead, she went for the more 'honorable' approach.
"Your honor, besides the three of us here today, there were many others who saw that woman attack whom you call Team Rocket. Yes, she did eat a man, while he was still alive, and tried to eat others. I fear if the fight had not ended, Avarice would have turned on us, again, I don't know if that would happen, but if" she turned towards Jenny, "this woman and her fellow officers here hadn't shown up," she turned back towards the judge, "then who know what would have happened. I rest my case, this woman is guilty, and nothing she or Wright says can prove otherwise."

Amber would watch the doorway until one of the blue helmet aliens walked up the stairs and entered her room, after opening fire on the first one and watching them fall to the ground as the thermite buckshot impacted their body with a rather violent explosion. For all Amber knew was that she could have killed them but really she would quickly watch as the other ones find cover and open fired on her, a few lasers hit her and she yelped as the shielding that she had took most of the impact. Her shields where rated against kinetics not laser or energy based weapons. She then ducked behind the bar and growled, her eyes would flicker to her shield bar and to her surprise her shields where about half bar, considering that she took four shots. Still growling a bit she waited to get a bit more of a charge on her shields before she raised her arms and blindly fired over the counter, she didnt mean to but hell did those laser rifles make an impact on her shields. While she was firing she would growl and barked into her helmet mic "I'm getting pinned by this blue ass hats! Really could use that support!"

"Don't worry I am on my way" I would reply over the mic.

She would just growl a bit more as another laser shot would impact her arm, she could feel the wave of heat that radiated of the shot as the shielding she had took the shot. Cutting a bit close she would withdrew herself from her blind firing and hid behind the bar, cursing a bit as she looked at her HUD. He shields where almost out and she had one round left in the chamber, pissed she would start to reload he shotgun. She would then click back on her mic "How many of them did you see?"

"Six."

"Copy, as I am pretty sure I killed one if not that severely injure them to the point that they would need more then just a medic"

"Copy, heading down to you in a few hold tight."

Meanwhile I was coming down the stairs at a rather fast pace, through over the gunfire and laser fire my foot steps would be rather deafen. As I was heading down the stairs I checked over my rifle one last time and threw back the charging handle, a very satisfying click as a round was placed into the chamber would be the answer. I would round the banister and find a few of them in the hall they seemed to be taking cover, I would raise my rifle and take aim at the first one I saw soon a burst from my M83A7 would follow hitting the nearby one.

Oh Hi Mark

Followed, stalked, and monitored by Universal Union sensors, our traveling heroes in the woods would be in a dangerous predicament. The Universal Union stationed outpost rather not deal with conventional methods of diplomacy. Afterall, the Universal Union’s most effective way of “diplomacy” was through the means of conquest and enslavement. The founding principles that made the Universal Union into a Interdimensional Empire that it is today. Luckily for our traveling band of heroes, Overwatch High Command made a exception not to murder our heroes on first contact. Thus, the less favorable way of peaceful meeting was decided. Two Civil Protection Officers, stripped of all gear but a handgun and communication devices, were sent out, pretending to be hikers. An Overwatch response team was also sent to ensure that if the meeting went sour then a quick "fuck you" was able to be delivered to our heroes.

Coming into view, two persons, what appears to be simple hikers, waves to our heroes. “Y’all are some strange folk.” The left one yells as both men walk closer.

Rise of the Masked Man | Avarice

Avarice stood up in response to Madi’s statements, broad and smile-pullingly excited. She toned her shaking mania down. Now that she wasn’t starving, her inhibitions were a little more sturdy. She was a being of pure physical form. Understanding social norms, humanity and the law in general was as simple as mathematics. Such matters were only ‘subjective’ because each person had a different objective psychological makeup. Audrey had no subconscious. Every thought, every action was made with absolute deliberation. She’d become more human over these last few days. As an impressionable little infological construct, her ability to learn was unparalleled. Quite often, involuntarily.

Which is to say, she wrote and memorised an emotionally charged speech by browsing on the Internet for about an hour. Not exactly the highest quality of research but still something to go off of.

“I would like to address the statements of the courtroom and the honourable witness Madison Goodwill. While I understand that the sight of my actions may have been distressing for your more… delicate psychologies, I can definitively prove that my arrest and potential conviction would be and are miscarriages of justice. To begin with I would like to argue that my actions were made in justified self-defence. Excessive force was not utilised. I understand and fully accept that the burden of proof now falls upon me.”

“Sorry for the unorthodox speech Mr. Wright but I believe that these words might have more impact if I articulate them myself.”

She took a glance toward the impeccably dressed lawyer, straight back and stiff hands giving away his stress. Avarice hated to potentially jeopardise her own trial but this was just about the only time she’d be able to put her newly learned social norms into practise. Her next few words would be a gamble. She was reciting the details of a legal case from a different universe altogether. Hopefully this world had some kind of analogue for the event. Universes tended to have patterns, even when they didn’t particularly make sense.

“Let us examine the historical case of Franz VS. the Kioleth Gang, a precedent for this current trial. In this case the appellate, having been found guilty of manslaughter during self-defence by the county court, appealed to the supreme court to overturn this decision. He was fully acquitted for his crime; shooting an individual dead after that stole several items from his store while armed with sticks and stones. The presiding judge said, and I quote; ‘If there has been an attack so that defence is reasonably necessary it will be recognised that a person defending himself cannot weigh to a nicety the exact measure of his necessary defensive action. If a Jury thought that in a moment of unexpected anguish a person attacked had only done what he honestly and instinctively thought was necessary that would be most potent evidence that only reasonable defensive action had been taken.’ as you can see, the common law established by this statement indicates that if the defendant truly believed that what they did was necessary to defend themselves, which was obviously the case here, then they are considered to have acted in reasonable self defence. I, in this case, attempted to evade my imminent incineration and murder by almost two dozen adversaries.”

Avarice was taking this all in stride. Legal battles were nothing like physical ones. No food. They were very exciting though, full of tension and abstract threat. Of course prison or execution wasn’t really a big deal to her, especially considering her immortality.

“I was attacked with deadly intent before the primary conflict even began. I was impaled by a stone spike and nearly run over by a car. Deadly force was intended against me and therefore I was justified in believing that deadly force was acceptable for usage against my assailants. I did not use a weapon and therefore cannot be persecuted for excessive arsenalisation. The threat was continuous and even after the murder of the man I was assaulted by several other Pokemon and trainers. As such the murder occurred during the process self defence and not before or after the attack had ended or begun.”

Her voice began to grow in pitch and fervour, strict and curt. Every syllable was enunciated with precision and poise. In fact, it sounded almost exactly like the episode of Judge Judy she’d managed to catch at 5 AM in the morning before the case.

“Through this entire process I was purely defending myself and my companions in the belief that grievous bodily harm or death would come to them if I did not intervene. My attack was a response to a premeditated attempted murder and act of environmental terrorism. I cannot be accused of Mens Rea due to the fact that I was physically incapable of comprehending the ‘inherent value’ of life at the time and therefore did not have the intent to cause harm or kill; only to arrest the attack of the offensive parties, which in this case, was the reduction of their body to pieces. It was in defence of myself and others. In the case of defence of property my actions would be considered excessive but that is patently not the case here.”

And on and on she went, speaking with clarity and anger. Just enough force behind her words to reinforce her utter belief in herself. Would this work? Would the genocidal cannibalistic non-human be able to pull this off? Frankly she didn’t think so. But it’d be fun to try.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that I attempted to stop the fighting before the actual occurrence of the battle. Team Rocket began by attempting to drive us over with a car before we were even aware of their presence, followed by the statement of their lethal intent several times. As the eyewitnesses can confirm I attempted to verbally defuse the situation before being impaled by a Pokemon, presumably under orders from a trainer. My immediate reaction was to consume my attacker in response to attempted lethal force. I am vindicated in believing that death was the only means by which the threat could be removed.”

“As you can see I have laid out an argument by which my innocence in this matter has been proven; including historical precedent, logical definition and examination of the events that transpired. Your honour, let it be known that I stand against the actions of Officer Jenny in the offensive assumptions she made about my nature and existence as well as the clearly biased opinion of the witnesses. We must approach this case with the utmost professionalism and not let personal emotions affect the discourse.”

She sat back down with her vocal chords in the process of weaving themselves back together. They were rubbery and stringy, weak as weeds and easily broken. Her ability to emulate human speech was still coming together. Right now, Avarice’s voice sounded a little too discordant, a little too flat and metallic to pass as fully human. She took a sip of water, taking a sidelong glance at the prosecution and remaining witnesses.

“Go on then. I’d love to hear what all of you have to say.”

Lamar and Ryder
Investigation
Secrets of the Raven

The two men were less than impressed with what they found inside. “Shitty ass apartment with its shitty ass plumbin’.” Lamar grumbled, stuffing his gun back into his pants. Ryder entered behind the other two, the three men cramped up in the small bathroom. He almost continued on, but noticing the anti-spacious nature of the bathroom, took a few steps out and plopped down on Abigail’s couch. While he continued to sip on his Coke, Lamar was busy making a mess. “Whatchu findin’, Trevor? ‘Cause I don’t see shit.”

And then his foot bumped into the trash can; papers and tampons and some orange thing that particularly caught his attention. “Hasn’t taken out her trash.” He thought aloud, reaching down, taking care not to messy his hands with menstrual blood. He grabbed onto the orange object, attempting to pull it out and get a better look.

***

Ash Williams
Vega II
Terminus

“Somewhere safe? Alright, I can get behind that, as long as I’m out of here by noon, I’ve got a hot date at three.” Before Ash could take off with the woman and her quiet friend, the horrid noise of feet stomping and a sick whirring noise permeated the air. He spun around, eyes glued open and mouth split as five creatures, each armed with some weapon unlike any he had ever seen. “Those bastards sent me into the future.” He mumbled under his breath in disbelief, knees quaking as the monsters approached. He pulled his shotgun up, firing a blast of buck but doing little to dissuade the attackers. “Oh, come on…” Not only had those wizard assholes sent him into the future, the Deadites in the future were immune to Ash’s whims.

As Ash prepared himself for any manner of crushing or blasting, the Deadites themselves were given a great push back by what was seemingly an angel of the Lord. Guts and gore were strewn about, Ash dumbfounded by the display by the figure suited in armor. He supposed he was… impressed, if not a little inadequate. He swept his shotgun onto his back, looking at the figure as they finished their work. An artform, he’d call it.

“Wanna live? I suggest picking up one of those guns and staying put unless you wanna get fragged while trying to escape.”

Ash approached the woman, a bit confused, while the pods dropped and the woman behind him began to speak.

Ash looked back at her, then turned his attention to the armored woman covered in blood. “Look lady, as much as you turn me on, and that is a lot, I agree with Miss Congeniality back here. I’ve got shit to do and that shit doesn’t involve me being apart of your crusade.”

But like it or not, he was apart of it now. The Deadites were surrounding them, crazed and bloodlusted by the death of their demonic compatriots. “Oh, goddammit! Why can’t you freaks just give me a break?!” He screamed at them, waving his hand (and chainsaw) in circles, scanning the ground for any sign of a weapon he might be able to use.

The sight of the shotgun on the ground brought a light to his eyes, rushing towards the goop covered gun with excitement. “Oh baby.” Pulling the futuristic gun up in one hand, he turned to the face the ensemble of masses clambering from their pods in a mad dash towards them. “Listen here, you sick freaks. I’ve had enough of your kind for an eternity, and I’ve only been on this planet for all of three minutes. Now, I suggest you…” The weapon laden hero froze, trailing off as one of the monsters aimed the barrel of its space-gun directly at his head. He dove out of the way as a trail of light streamed over him, the man falling onto his back and turning the gun towards his attackers, now distracted by the woman he assumed was “peace-loving” getting her jaw blown off yet still tearing through a few of the creatures.

He looked at the shotgun, attempting to get a good grip on it as it fired, jolting his arm back and sending a shiver down his spine. “Oh shit!” He cried, as the creature that had shot at him had its head blasted into pieces. His respirator hung from his spurting stump of a neck, chunks of brain and bone sticking to the cracked pavement. Ash jumped back up, looking over his newfound weapon. He laughed heartily, looking back up at the horrors that attacked him. He raised his shotgun again, preparing to fire at another as he shifted back. One single movement that saved his life.

A spear flew over his shoulder, drawing blood and tearing skin along with denim. Smoke sizzled from the wound, cauterized by plasma as Ash spun around, dropping his shotgun from the pain. He cried out in pain, a towering beast looming over him with a plasma spear in hand. It swung at him, Ash sashaying to the side before it punctured his gut. “Big guy, watch out!” He yelled, revving his chainsaw hand, insanity in his eyes. As it threw the spear at him again, he countered with a swift parry of the running blade, sparks flying before the weapon was thrown from the Deadite’s hand. “Ha! Now what, hot shot?” He laughed, boastful and braggart over his win against the beast. “Any last- HORGJK” Were Ash’s last thoughts as the monster grabbed him by the chest and lifted him into the air.

Feelings of weightlessness were something that Ash had grown used to over the past few days and those feelings were sure to be a mainstay in the coming days as well. The monster pulled back a large fist, throwing it into the Ash’s head. His skull whipped back, blood spilling from his nostril as he raised the chainsaw defiantly. As it went in for another killer right hook, the blade fell on its bare fist, splitting the hand down the middle in a spray of bone and blood. The creature dropped Ash, grabbing at its own wrist. “Alright, you’ve just made it personal! My face is one of my greatest features!” Ash quipped before driving the chainsaw down. The creature dodged at the last second, the spinning motor sticking itself into its neck. “Oh come on! Why couldn’t you just make this easy on yourself?!” Ash screamed, blood spraying over his face, tearing through its thick muscle, its thick spine, its thick fucking sinew before the head lopped off, eyes white and dead. Before any more of them could declare war on his body, Ash ran for the shotgun, flipping it up and dropping it square in his hand. Another crew of the beasts had turned to face him, each armed with their own towering weapon of smashing, bashing, and or slashing. He revved the chainsaw again, aiming the shotgun down at their stupid fucking heads. “Come on, get some.
I don't know what I'm s'posed to do.

Another Nightmare that is a Very Small Post Again

A metallic orb pops out from the UU scout ship. It floats over to the Terran Diet and the Chancellor. “Speak,” the orb says with a monotone voice. Not much else can really describe what just happened.

Secrets of the Raven

Elizabeth felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up on their end, goosebumps forming on her skin as her Sixth Sense earned her of something behind the mage. Turning around she found a pale woman with a hood behind her, her aura was the same as the dog. "So much on having a talking dog for the team. But a shapeshifter huh? Where did she disappear and why she decided to make her presence now?"

The woman soon spoke up and told Elizabeth that she was making a mistake coming here. "I can agree with you there sister, coming to this bloody town was a mistake. It's been one disaster after the other ever since I stepped foot in here." The witch complained to her, acting as though she didn't understood the real meaning behind her words.

When she told her that she was in danger and that it would be best for her to leave the witch shrugged. "Love no matter where I go I'm still in danger as long as I stay in this town. There is no safe place for me or you for that matter." She said, leaning over to whisper. "But you're in greater danger because you obviously have no idea where you are or what is going on in this town." She pulled back. "Tell me why I should leave you alone and I will tell you why I think your much safer being with me and my group." She told her as she crossed her arms in front of her chest
---

"Good to hear Mr.Pershing. we need you to follow this woman and monitor her status. We need to know how far her investigation has gone and how much she knows about us. We also need to know more about her new allies." Claudia told Agent A

Suddenly from the laptop Agent A would see images of some of the people who appeared through rifts, all save for the recent individuals to have appeared in the day. "We have sensed disturbances in the ambient arcane field of this town that let us know when these rifts appeared and each time they open these people appear. We know almost nothing about them, a situation we need to correct now. Once you have gathered enough clues on this group we will begin our next stage of sabotaging their investigation." Claudia explained.

The man who brought over the laptop would give Agent A a false ID card, one saying he is a member of the British intelligence agency. "We cast an obedience geass on the card so anyone who sees it will have to obey your orders. The card can even change its appearance if need be to whatever you desire."

The man would soon present a bag that once checked would produce many items related to surveillance and subterfuge ranging from cameras, tape recorder, wiretaps, bugs, and even lockpicks and extra clothing. He would even see a smartphone in the bag. "The laptop is yours to keep, you can use it for your mission and to stay in contact with us along with the phone. We also found hotel close to the residence Ashwood is staying in to help with your investigation. We even found the room that is facing the window to Ashwood’@ room."

Agent A would see images of both the room in question and the five storey hotel along with the Drinking Crow, finding that both the hotel and the pub-in hybrid were close by. "Will there be any issues with your current assignment Mr.Perishing?" If Agent A was gonna mention anything about how much he was going to be paid the same man would give Agent A an envelope containing plenty of money to let him live by for weeks in his new home. "We will send you more at the end of each week so you can keep working for us."
---

As Trevor search through the cabinets most of the items were ones anyone would expect to find in a bathroom from your basic and essential hygiene and medical products to a few items more specific for women. However he would soon find a white box that was advertising a product called "Hypnocil", which can help suppress dreams and nightmares. Shaking the box would produce a rattling sound, letting Trevor know that the box was still fill with something. Opening it would reveal blue gel pills within the box.

The orange item that was in the trash was a empty pill box. Investigating it would unveil that it was to treat anxiety disorder. The noise from the pipes would stop, leaving behind only the sounds they were making in the apartment.

Empty Wallet

As the other people from the party began to jump pit of the window Hex shouted for her squad to move out. The squad leader soon got the motorcycle got the engine of the bike to roar as she drove by Teru's car, the van would soon follow by as no one from Delta Buckler needed to be told twice to leave the area before more security bots could arrive.

The backdoors of the van hid the fact that both Conman and Faust were readying their weapons, vven Trick was prepared as he was awaiting for the right time to activate his cloak. The three were prepared to fight off the security force while Curse drove the van and Jinx sat next o him, her shotgun on her hands to fire at anyone next to them should a chase occur.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

Lilith did not place much faith in the woman's counterwarnings. "Safety is relative. What is dangerous to you might not bother me, or the other way around." she said. "I have plenty of experience hiding and avoiding danger, you might say that I'm an expert at it." It had become a way of life for the former nun, staying in one place too long was risky. People might catch on to the random pattern of attacks, so Lilith was constantly moving between towns and cities. "There is no safe place for me anywhere on this Earth. I doubt there ever will be."

When asked why the woman was in danger, Lilith turned her head to the side and hesitated for a bit. "Because..." she began, before trailing off. "Because I do not wish to be responsible for what happens to you. You have showed kindness, but unknowingly, you placed yourself in danger by doing so. For this reason I have spared you. In other, worse circumstances, I might not be able to stop myself."

The vampire knew her words were likely to fall on dear ears though, so she decided that actions would speak louder. She reached a hand up and covered Elizabeth's mouth, shoving her against the wall in the same motion. Lilith leaned in close, pinning the witch in. She pulled the scarf down with her free hand, exposing her mouth. Her lips parted, and her tongue drug along two sharp fangs, which were originally destined for Elizabeth's neck.

Lilith replaced her scarf, though kept her hand over Elizabeth's mouth in case she planned on screaming. "You won't remember this encounter, so don't worry about trauma. But you understand now, yes?" she asked, staring right into the witch's eyes.

Secrets of the Raven

"It might, but that doesn't change the fact that you are in a new world with rules most likely different to the ones your use too." The mage reply back. As Lilith explain that she was use to hiding to the point of being an expert the witch was going to ask her why she needed to prioritize stealth o such an extent but soon found her mouth covered and her back pressed against the wall.

Elizabeth began cursing at her but all that was heard was muffled as she try to break free. She stopped when Lilith pulled down the scarf and reveal her fangs. "Ah shit, just my luck that I get stuck with a vampire just as the experienced vampire hunter of off doing my job." Elizabeth knew that some vampires in her world were either resistant or in some cases immune to sunlight, as such Lilith being out on broad daylight wasn't too surprising for her.

"Actually sending Trevor away was a good idea since this one doesn't seem to be the type that revels in bloodshed." Once more she was reminded of a few vampires that were similar to Lilith in their desire to not kill humans during feeding and to just live their lives as comfortably as their undead lifestyle can allow. "Either way once he comes back I know he would try to kill her once he figures out what she is." once more Elizabeth cursed her lick for being in her current situation.

As Lilith said that she went remember the encounter she gave the woman a puzzled expression as she stared at her. "Is she trying to hypnotize me? Poor night stalker doesn't know that trick won't work on me thanks to my wards." Yet to play along and break free Elizabeth began to slowly close her eyes until they were half open, looking drowsy before Lilith as her arms hang limply by her sides and her shoulders sag.

Rise of the Masked Man

Standing within the courtroom and saying the grouchy judge before him Phoenix was nerve, no he wasn't nerve, he was petriy! This was his first major case in this world and he was given the one case that by all accounts was impossible to win from. Yet even with those odds against him Pheonix never abandoned a client before in his world and he wasn't going to start in this one.

After the judge was done speaking and ask if he was ready Wright was going to speak but Madi suddenly screamed out how she saw Avarice ate the victim and was going to consume others before the police arrived. "Jeez thanks for making my case even harder kid..." the now sweating lawyer thought after hearing Madison's outburst.

Avarice soon spoke up and tried to spin things on her defending from team rocket, a group that he knows for a fact was a dangerous organized crime syndicate. "Hmm, I can work with something here." the gears in the lawyer's head were now turning as he realize that Avarice just gave him a good opening to go with. Standing up he e turned to face Madison.

"Ms. Goodwill, please restrain yourself. My client never showed signs of turning against your group. As we have seen she is perfectly capable of functioning around others without committing further transgressions." He said to her before turning his attention back to the judge.

"My client, Audrey Famei, is innocent of her accused crime. Let me begin my case by clarifying that she was totally unaware of all social norms and the laws of this universe. She is an entity from another reality altogether. To claim that the laws of this world should apply to her is rather problematic, your honor. Not only was she unaware of the fact that she was in this universe to begin with but with my interactions with my client I believe she had no prior experience with the law in any form, the very concept of the law as we know it being alien to her." Phoenix stated to the judge and jury.

He allowed a few seconds of silence, both so he can get a few breaths and to allow the jury and judge to digest what he said before speaking once more, switching his attention to both the judge and jury as he spoke.

"My client was arrested only a few minutes after entering this dimension. We persecute under the assumption that the accused is in control of their actions and aware of the fact that they are breaking the law. I and all others who have spoken to her have proven that she was neither aware that her actions were considered immoral, let alone illegal. I have had many conversations with her and it is clear that she did not commit this crime out of malice but simply because her impressionable mind considered it regular fare. Her only introduction to this world was a group of trainers from a known criminal organization and their pokemon that threatened to kill her. We simply did not introduce her properly to this universe nor our standards of behaviour."

The lawyer explained, looking at the papers he written just before leaving his office. Thankful to have written them down while he still had a good idea on how to begin with his opening defense.

"I will also like to inform the court that despite my clients apparent maturity and human-like appearance she is neither of legal age to be tried as an adult nor entirely human. Audrey is a child whose only been around for a few days your honor, fifty days to be precise. She can speak to us because she is a conceptual being who was lucky enough to be born with both the capability and knowledge to communicate with us, but her young age mixed with her alien origins also means she severely lacks the breadth of experience to understand our laws, society, and cultural norms work and how to fall under their preview. She is by all regards a child your honor and as such we can not accuse her in the same vein as an adult suspect regardless of her apparent maturity. Also our laws only applies to humans, which my client is not."

The lawyer stopped just to move one sheet of paper to the back to read the next one. Straightening out the papers by banging the bottom parts on the desk before he read them. Wright wasn't worry about using the statement of his client being an alien since he has plenty of proof for that, now he just hope that his proof won't give him anymore nightmares.

"Furthermore, I would like to argue that she was taken into custody far too soon under a false assumption and placed on trial here because most didn't check if she was a functioning human adult. As we have seen she is neither. We do not subject pokemon to human law, we do not persecute children and we do not arrest those who have no understanding of either the law or appropriate retribution. In my eyes her actions were entirely justified in the moment, especially considering the fact that she was unaware of the threat her attackers actually posed. She was incinerated, impaled, shot at and physically crushed. I see no excessive force here. They posed a direct and inimical threat to her life and my client took all steps to ensure her own survival, which just so happened to include the consumption of living individuals. She may have carried out the deeds you have accused her of but she is not guilty in any regard of the mind."

Wright stopped speaking just so he can get a few gulps of water, the lawyer bringing in a bottle of water suspecting that he may need the cool drink for this trail. After the drink he continue to speak, now leaving the papers on the desk as the final sections he memorized well for the trial.

"To say that my client is guilty of excessive force is to claim that in the situation she was in, she should've held back. Of course! Of course when in the face of certain death and having been outnumbered almost four to one, someone should worry about whether they're going to use 'excessive force'. Self defence is not a crime! My client was in absolute danger. According to her reports and I'm sure one of the eyewitnesses here, all of whom I was denied conversation with for no understandable reason, she verbally attempted to stop the fighting before it began. Audrey was scared, she was desperate to prevent a violent outcome. We have arrested her for trying to keep herself and her nominal allies alive."

The lawyer stated, his tone being much, more heated than the earlier calm and professional tone, as though showing outrage over the incident and the events that occurred in it that lead to the trial. He looked over at the jury.

"You are accusing a non-human who is not of legal age and whose only experience in our dimension so far has been violent persecution. We have only furthered the impression that we are unable to contextualise events and are willing to attack anyone we so desire. This case is unfounded and preposterous. None of the requirements to have a proper trial have been met. My client is unfit for this trial both mentally and age-wise. Her arrest was made illegally and based on surface-assumption. The only thing she is guilty of is trying her best to get along with the rest of society, as we have seen with her no doubt impeccable behaviour over the few days in police custody. I rest my case."

With his opening statement now done Phoenix Wright sat back down, letting out a sigh as he relax just a little. He knew that this battle has only begun and that the prosecution no doubt has something planned to try and undermine his statement. He would have to wait to see what their move was and find any holes with their case to poke while ensuring his had minimal. "Goodwell however could cause trouble if she let's out another outburst like that." Wright thought, thinking back to Madison and how she put them in a tough bind with her statement. Looking more at the files Wright kept looking at one particular sheet of paper. The one that gave out the accounts of the witnesses who were present during the incident.

Secrets of the Raven
Lilith von Brandt

For a moment, Lilith was slightly confused by the woman's sudden reaction. Was she alright? Had Lilith caused her to pass out? But suddenly it occurred to the vampire- She thinks I've tried to hypnotize her. Lilith planned to eventually, but this was an interesting development. How far would she be willing to go with the charade? At least now, with the woman pretending to be under her spell, she might get some answers.

She uncovered the woman's mouth. "Tell me, thrall, what city is this? And where is the nearest airport that goes to die USA?" she asked. She had no intentions of staying, she'd rather get back to where she had left all of her belongings. She glanced upwards, towards the clouds parting again to reveal the sun, and winced a little. She repositioned herself and the woman so that they were shaded.

She looked back towards the woman feigning her drowsy state. "Answer, and I will release you." she said. "You must comply, I command it." she added, laying on the act.

Secrets of the Raven

Still keeping with her act and unaware that she wasn't fooling the vampire the witch spoke in the tired tone one would expect to her from a hypnotized person. "You're in the town of Branhwrn mistress. There are no airports near by in West Wales, you will have to travel down to the south to find any of the major cities who have airports." She explained, finding it interesting that the vampire wanted to go to the US of all places.

"If she wants to deal with AEGIS in their home turf I won't get in her way but sadly for her she appeared in the worst spot in Wales on finding any airports close by." when they two were moved to a new location to better conceal them. The witch spoke again. "There is a town call Bangor that is located on the North West that has an airport but you will still have to go through a long trip mistress." The witch told the vampire, maintaining the charade while waiting for the right moment to break it.

"Wales?" Lilith asked, surprised. "This is unfortunate. I have never set foot in Wales, this is unfamiliar to me." She paced around a little in the shade, thinking. "To England, then." she said. She hadn't been to London in a long time, but it was as close as she would get to recognizable territory. "From there, returning home shall be simpler." She could also try to make for Germany, but it had been even longer since she had been there, and it might bring back too many unwelcome and unpleasant memories. All of her belongings were in New England, and while they were replaceable, someone stumbling upon a coffin in a farmhouse would raise suspicions. People would link it to the random attacks and cry vampire, and while the police would never latch onto such a claim, the people would be frenzied.

She looked around, obtaining her bearings to make sure she headed the right way. "You can stop pretending now." she said. "I have done nothing to you to draw information out, your generosity with it has been helpful though. I am sorry about the food. I hope you do not bear resentment for it."

Northeastern Sector/Empty Wallets

“I’ll admit, I enjoy reliving my glory days with my comrades. But, I care more for my work than for fun, and that was what I was doing….even if I was enjoying it,” Aestus replied to Jules. Aestus was still young at heart, one could say, at least since he had stepped down from acting like a solitary watchdog over his realm. He had been so bored, so alone, he felt like he needed to go out there be energetic, to fight for a worthy cause. Perhaps he could go too far with this...but for now, it didn’t concern him.

“You’re welcome, now hold on tight,” Aestus warned, as the animals floating around him gathered to his back. Sometimes they liked to swim around in a school of fish around him when he did this, but right now, they were under attack, and aesthetics could wait for later. The manta ray then sped forward to catch up to the others, while still making sure not to cause anyone to fall off. It could go much faster than this, but most humans would have a hard time standing when going at the speed of sound.

Wakanda

"What in the name of the lord is this glowing contraption?" Theo pondered, picking up the bizarre gun that had landed in front of him. Having never seen a gun, it was an entirely foreign design to him, and he didn't even know what to think of it. It must've been useful, though, so he picked up and held it by the handle.
"What's this supposed to-" His question as cut off by the sound of the gun firing, and killing one of the Sontarans. Oh, so that's what it does. His first shot was a lucky one, but luckily the modifications helped him with his near nonexistent aim.

RRW Triarius
Near Vega II

Admiral J'Ren watched the holo-communicator and listened as Captain Arc outlined his plan for bringing down the Abomination Titan, and when Arc finished replied: "Acknowledged Captain, I'll deploy some of our smaller, more maneuverable escorts to help take those engines out." He then ordered his Communication's Officer to transmit Arc's plans and holographic image of the Titan to the Captains of the Defiant-class ships in the fleet, when he was notified that the Abomination flagship was broadcasting a message to all ships in the area on an open frequency. The Romulan stated: "On screen" and the decidedly hideous face of the Warden displayed on the ship's main viewer, bandying about his threats until Torel rolled his eyes and motioned to close the channel around the time he demanded they surrender.

"Well, he seems like a pleasant fellow" Marcus sarcastically stated to Torel over a secure channel.

"Indeed" Torel replied with a scoff. "Perhaps the loss of his flagship will make him a little more amicable. What's the status of those Defiants?"

"They're cloaked and maintaining comm silence until they've maneuvered into a good position to fire on the flagship's engines."

"Good" J'Ren stated, before hitting a button on his chair's console to patch the Founder in, and continuing: "Founder, I recommend deploying a few of your fighter squadrons to engage those enemy strike craft and keep them off the Defiants."

"Already done Admiral" the Founder replied "Though it seems another vessel in the area is already making short work of the 'Abomination' fighters."

"Excellent" Nelson interjected "Should make things a little easier for us."

Easier perhaps, but the task the Captains of the five Defiant-class escorts headed for the flagship were faced with was still a daunting one. The Titan's engines alone were many times the size of all of the Defiants combined, but by utilizing their vastly superior maneuverability, the Captains were all convinced that they could bring Captain Arc's plan to fruition. Once they reached the optimum firing position, the Defiants all dropped their cloaks and unleashed a mass-barrage of Quantum torpedoes directly into the engines. Once those munitions had detonated, the Defiants then rapidly maneuvered as close to the flagship as possible to make it harder for its large ship-to-ship batteries to track them, while continuing to lay into the ship's propulsion with their powerful quad-phaser cannons, hoping that their efforts would take the engines offline long enough for gravity to work its magic...
