The Great Wizarding Rebellion
Miria

Miria had awoken in her room a short while before Kiara, most likely, although she hadn't left it until they'd made their way outside. She'd been in bed - a good bed - thinking to herself. She was almost convinced that the room she was in was back home, but...no, the layout was different. The room was bigger. It wasn't nearly as lavish as Link's, but that was no problem for Miria. She liked humble, and her room back home was humble. Plain wooden floors, plain rugs, a plain bed, and plain wooden desks and tables. The lightbulb was normal, though, and not the dark red she used for low light, but the windows did have those thick light-blocking curtains that she enjoyed. It was nice and dark in there - a comfortable level for her, but likely impossible to see in for a normal Human.

For the longest time, Miria just laid in bed. She went back over everything that had happened over the last few weeks in her head, and wondered where everything went wrong. Mostly, she thought about where they had all been just before passing out, and about what had happened to her. The Malefactour - the spirit that had manifested from her now-broken stone - was terrifying, but it was also exciting for her. She wasn't lying when she told the others that there was nothing to fear now, but that was mostly just to calm them down. What she hadn't told them was that she was hopeful that it could be conjured again. She'd never imagined wielding magic like that, and it felt powerful, but that wasn't why she was excited about the prospect. She was excited because, if she could summon her own Abyssal spirit, then that meant that she still had some sort of connection to her Goddess, and if that was the case, then that meant that she still had a connection to her home world that she could potentially use to get back.

Eventually, after a good rest, some much-needed reflection, and with a renewed spring in her step, Miria slipped out of bed, getting cleaned up and dressed, and stepping out to see what was up. That was when she ran into Kiara, who she was admittedly a bit amuse to see a bit shorter, and then the two found link, striking up a small conversation there on the steps, about the sunset. Miria found it odd, how just that topic exemplified their differences. She couldn't imagine what Kiara's home was like with a brighter sun.

"Dimmer?", Miria asked, glancing sideways at Kiara. She adjusted her glasses and looked ahead again, although avoiding the sun itself. "The sun is too bright here. It makes me uncomfortable.", She said. "I welcome the night. The dark is my element. I don't have to squint as much."

That wasn't all that she had to say about the sunset, however. The small girl seemed to cock her head to one side, and mull her thoughts over, speaking more slowly and deliberately than she usually did. She was taking care not to speak too fast, or accentuate her lisp. "The sun is dimmer back home. It's a bit cooler, too - my planet. You're moon looks like the second one. We have three, and the first takes up half the sky when it passes by. On good nights, you can look up and see the lights from Lunar cities. When typhoons get big enough, you can see them on the horizon, when they stretch from our world to theirs, because we share an atmosphere. Other times, Lunar flowers get whipped up, and fall to our side. They glow in the dark, so it looks like a big light show. One of my Mistress's - um, my friend's - favourite things to do was to watch them. I actually helped her plant a bunch of those flowers in our garden a few years ago. We almost don't even need lamps to see outside at night because of them."

It was sort of funny, how she talked about everything being so dark or dim. She recalled Link's home being on some tropical island, when she met Madi. She hated the sun then, too. She probably wouldn't have liked Kiara's world. Kiara was fond of it though, as well as...

"Her?", Miria asked, probably a bit more bluntly than she'd intended. Skye, she meant? Miria had tried to ignore what had happened to Skye since escaping the AEGIS base. She'd been trying to ignore a lot of things, or to hold it all in. She could only imagine how Kiara felt, when what had happened affected her so much more.

Katya

Katya was certainly surprised to pick up an accent from one of the agents, but not terribly so. She sported an impeccable English accent herself when she wasn't speaking her native tongue, fortunately; it was one of the perks of having a private tutor. The soldiers in front of her likely didn't care too much about proper accents, however. They were there to do a job, and so was she, and Polly, apparently. Katya disagreed with forcing such a vulnerable person into that situation, but - oh, who was she kidding, she'd done the same thing. At least she'd manipulated someone who knew what they were getting into, though.

Katya didn't look Polly's way when she spoke, but she still kept close. She stood straight, arms clasped behind her back, and eyes narrowed, tilting her head up slightly as she looked at the unit, from left to right. When she was done, she smirked and shrugged. "Ekaterina Pyotorovna Dimitrov - or Katherine. You may call me Katya, or whichever variation you prefer. I understand if you prefer shorter nicknames.", She told them. She would have lied about her name, but she figured that September already knew, and she'd been quite open about her identity so far. Hiding it now would be silly.

One hand moved forward to adjust her tie. "I'll be blunt, I'm not quite as enthusiastic as my partner here, but business is business, and I'd be remiss if I didn't help to repay your kind for rescuing me from danger.", She said. "And, of course, so long as word of this doesn't reach your friends in the British government. I'd rather not have my involvement disclosed."

Three moons? I did hear you correctly?”

The clouds overhead parted and the three would see the city of London sprawling before them in all it’s modern glory, bathed in the dying sun, even if some sections were in ruins. “The fact that people - humans - built all of that, it’s absolutely incredible. Maybe Hyrule will look like that someday. Not anytime soon, of course, but perhaps in a few centuries...”

The Hero of Twilight gazed at the sight before him in silence before he leaned against the railing and looked up at the sky. “Hyrule only has one moon, but sometimes, you can see an aura in the sky, scholars say the moon is what gives my people magic. I admit, I’m a tad bit skeptical, no one has a better answer though.”

Link absentmindedly started drumming the railing in thought but stopped a few seconds later and stepped back from the railing. “I wish you two could see the sunset from Hyrule Castle. I would try to describe it to you, but it’s something you need to see for yourself.”

He then looked over at Kiara, before taking off the cloak Elizabeth had given him and placed it around the woman’s shoulders. “I thought you looked cold, and before you ask, I’ll be fine. It’s a lot colder in Hyrule.” Link glanced over at Miria. “If I had another cloak I’d gladly give it to you, but I don‘t have another, sorry.”

The Hylian then looked up at the sky again and adjusted the chain around his neck slightly. “I was knighted, you know, I don’t like crowds so I’m glad there wasn’t that many people...I’m supposed to protect all of you, but I suppose neither of you need it, you’ve proven that you don’t need protection.”

Tides of Change

Admiral Sagalyn watched as an officer appeared on the communications screen. Despite his calm demeanor, Ovelia could feel a hint of fear radiating from his soul through her powers as a medium.
"I am captain Wade Wilson of the Vindicator. I'm a part of the Colonial Expeditionary Defense Fleet. I come from The United Repatriate Colonies of Concordia, but Concordia is acceptable. You all are over the world of Kabal, in the Mayagil Sector, and on the Sharlissian Trade Corridor on the Outer Rim of the galaxy. My people are here because we were called to aid the people of Kabal because they are suffering from food shortages. We request you do not engage in hostilities against them or us. We do not wish to fight a ceaseless battle."

The admiral smiled and gave an understanding nod.
"I will assure you, we mean you no harm. We were en route to investigate a spacial anomaly near the diplomatic capital world, and somehow ended up here instead."

She looked over to Navigation, which much like the rest of the CIC was typing away at computers and rushing to figure out what happened and where exactly they were. The Navigations Supervisor-Aayla Soloccam-turned to face her, and read from a freshly printed piece of paper.
"From what we can tell at the moment, the spacial anomaly destabilized before the bridge was formed, and instead of jumping next to it, we jumped into the anomaly itself." her voice was clear and confident.

"Right." Ovelia smiled, turning back to the communications screen. "It seems that it's been confirmed, we've made an erroneous jump to a different universe."

The admiral turned to a station directly below the massive television screen at the fore of the room, and a man of average build stood from his chair, turning to face Sagalyn. The Aescerei Systems Supervisor, Laurence Delgato, was in charge of overseeing the ship's central artificial intelligence based quantum computer network, the Aescerei.
"The Aescerei have determined that travel back to or universe is not possible at this time due to Spatium Contorqueo in our home universe. Communications can be established, though. They have determined that we are in the same universal cluster as the New Republic, a member state of the MUDP. However, we're on an earlier point in spacetime."

"Thank you." Sagalyn nodded. "Communications, has the Oversight Committee been informed of what's just happened?"
"All information has been transferred." a feminine voice called out. "Deliberation is in progress."

Twenty minutes passed, and the voice called out once more.
"The Committee has reached a conclusion. Our mandate is to lend humanitarian aid. Giving provisions is required, and any other aid or support is up to local command. End of mandate."

The admiral nodded, and turned with a bright smile to the telecaster. She spoke in a cheerful, friendly tone.
"Good news, Captain! If you'll accept it, we offer our aid. We have plenty of provisions to start, and our engineers are the finest in th-our galaxy. We can also offer any other aid you might need, including medicine, and we have access to universal vaccines, to help inoculate your people from any pathogens brought from our realm."

She gave a slight bow, placing her right hand over her heart as she did so.
"I look forward to working with you."

"Some are fusion powers. Hypermatter isn't cheap for us so we utilize fusion for our ships. However some of our ships use Hypermatter so we need to buy those for them. Also our headhunters engines hse Ion Fusion engines. But right now the radiation levels should be safe. If not we should be able to repair any damages we cause to your body." Wilson told Doug. "You can now board our hanger. Again, sorry for the tight squeeze."

The headhunters would split up into different directions as they got close the hanger, the pilots leaving Doug alone to do enter the craft. Once he was in the hanger he would see a grayish silver protocol droid waiting for him. Once he landed the droid would walk forward. "Good day to you Doug. I'm 34-K1, a protocol droid. I'm tasked with assistance in translating alien languages and to make sure first contact such as this goes smoothly." The droid said in a oddly cheerful tone. Its mechanical voice possessing a British accent for some odd reason.

"Would you like to see the captain now or wait until our other guests possibly arrive? Either way I'm sure the crew is most anxious on meeting you in person."  Back on the CIC, Wilson would look to the Operator. "Tath. Would you want me to send my team to your ship now? I'd rather not have to tow your ship out of here if we have to flee the system." The captain told him.

"Hypermatter? Suppose I'll have to ask you about that when I see you." Then Wilson told Doug that he could land and as the Hylian pilot neared the massive vessel, the three other fighters flew off, leaving him to land in the hangar bay by himself.

Once he had landed and gotten out of his craft, a sentient droid walked up, introduced himself, and asked if he waited to see Wilson or wait for everyone else.
"I assume the rifts I've been through have done something to make me have a translator already, though I'm not sure. Anyway, under normal circumstances, I would wait for everyone else, but I'd like to see your captain now, if it's alright. I presume I'd have to be scanned for hidden weapons or potentially dangerous pathogens...? Cause...You know, I'm immune to some things and not others and what I'm immune to could kill other people...?"

Tides of Change

Kabal

Wilson watched from a holoscreen Doug meeting the protocol droid sent to meet him, at the other side of the room were guards. The guards wore a thin, sleek and rigid coat. The pants were also black in color and were made of polymers that Wilson wasn't in the mood to list down. While the coats themselves were made of nanoweave threads laced with plates of armor they still wore armor behind the coats.

Their gray and black boots were more like greaves and their gloves were gauntlets; flexible enough to not impede movement but rigid to offer some amount of protection. Their faces were obscured by a large visor and mask that not only played a role into the internal sealant system to protect the soldiers from environmental conditions and chemical and biological agents, but the helmets had an array of sensors and computers that were inputting tactical data and sharing it among the other guards.

Wade knew that Doug wasn't a threat, his can he after he assisted the Imperative in the Great War? He was a hero to those men and women, arresting him is ridiculous, shooting him heretical. But the steps were necessary as pirates love to board ships and the guards have stepped one of many boarding attempts.

Wade looked as the engineering team was putting on the spacesuits. The modern spacesuits have evolved from the bulky and cumbersome suits of old, now more flexible and almost forming around the body. However advancements in miniaturization and nanomaterials as allowed for parts of the suits to still be rigid to give a decent amount of protection from the dangers of space without sacrifice dexterity and mobility. The inclusion of personal shields also aids in that. Thank Corniera for those wonderful machines.

As the engineering team put on their helmets and packs Wade would see a flash notifying him that the admiral of the other fleet was speaking.

"I will assure you, we mean you no harm. We were en route to investigate a spacial anomaly near the diplomatic capital world, and somehow ended up here instead."

The breath that Wade didn't know he was holding was finally allowed to escape. These people were not a threat dragged in. That means their only concern was with Tath if he wasn't going to trust his people in his ship.

Wade heard on how the Admiral's people found a rift and they went over to investigate it, one that resulted in them jumping into the rift due to an error on both their part and because the rift wasn't entirely stable when they found it.

"I think your report might help explain a mystery the Imperative had on a cruiser that vanished when it was near a rift. Hopefully the crew is still alive in whatever universe they found themselves in." Wilson told Olivia.

The Nostromo was one of AEGIS earliest attempts of creating their own spaceship. A hybrid of their own technology and a collection of technologies of the Union's members, it was seen as a major cooperation effort. During the first test of the Nostromo the ship performed excellently, a result that was replicated test after test. But the final test would have a simple jump to Corneria would have the Nostromo never appear in the world or in any universe the Imperative was aware of. The experimental cruiser simply vanished from existence.

Unfortunately the war distracted many from performing a proper investigation at the time. The loss of materials, personnel, and efforts were sharply felt in the Imperative who was still suffering from a string of defeats and setbacks. At the time they were desperate to show any signs of improvements and it was hoped the cruiser would be proof that the Imperative can still be as contributing member of the Union. Only for those hopes to be dashed so suddenly.

The fate of the Nostromo is still a mystery to this day, as post war investigations still produced no conclusive results on what occurred to the cruiser. "And then the major investigation task force for that mystery disappeared themselves." Wilson muttered. He almost wanted to laugh at the bitter irony the multiverse played on them. But he couldn't let the admiral think he was crazy so he suppressed it.

When the voice came back they said they were going to lending in aid to the planet. Wilson was honestly surprised to hear the news.

"I'm grateful for the offer and I grant you permission to assist us." The group would hear another voice be heard. "Unknown fleet this is the Kabal Defense Force. We will allow your people to enter our planet to aid our people. If the Concordians trust you then we can trust you."

Wilson would return back to speaking, his mood a lot more relaxed now that he was sure there was no invasion was going to happen to the world. "I think our doctors would love to study that vaccines and learn about any pathogens you have so we can quickly create treatments for them. Perhaps we can trade in some of our non-restrictive technologies. Though that depends if you want a vacuum cleaner that can out last you and your children and slugthrowers." The man said with a smirk, a slight teasing tone in his voice.

He would tip his gray beret and bow as well. "I hope to work with you as well. Since this is First Contact you and your chosen diplomatic party can board my ship so we can discuss  the typical matters associated with First Contact and hopefully you can also provide us with a few answers to some lingering questions we have back home."

He would look at the screen showing Tath. "The same offer extends to you two unless you wish to stay in your ship. We can include you in the meeting by holo call. But I prefer the face to face meeting. It's more private that way."

Down at the hanger Doug would see the 34 nod. "Why yes. As we speak you are being scanned right now by the nanites floating in the air. I also can scan for any dangerous weapons and can even monitor brain activity to detect any signs of aggression or deceit from a person. If I judge you as a threat I would have disemboweled you about now. But seeing as your internal organs are not spilled onto the floor you are judged to be safe." The droid said in a cheerful manner as he moved his arms up and down.

"But if you have any weapons please give them to the guards waiting behind the walls. They are armed with the latest generation gauss rifles and for your safety I suggest listening to their orders." It instructed Doug.

"Now please follow me Doug." The droid would lead him to the hanger door. As the doors slides open he would be greeted by the dark armor guards. While Doug would be intimidated by their presence he would not see that behind the visors and masks the guards were looking at Doug with a loom he would not expect from them; awe.

The soldiers heard that he was coming and even saw his fighter through their augmented reality overlays, but seeing him in person was something else. The guards stared at him as they remained motionless. 34-K1 looked at them. "Errr. Are you all feeling alright? Is there an error in your cyber brains?" His words seem to snap the guards out of whatever trance they were in.

"No, everything is operating as intended." The guard said in an electronic voice. He looked over at Doug. "The droid most likely told you this but we have to confiscate any weapons you have for safety concerns. However for this occasion we will let it pass. But we will escort you to the board room. Just a precaution." He told Doug.

From on the coat sleeve Doug would still see the familiar logo of AEGIS on it. Infact the voice system used was similar to the one he heard from MST back on the Jedi Temple. But he can hear some noticeable improvement from it.

"Let's get a move on." The guard told him as they and the droid lead him through the halls of the ship. The interior was spartans and utilitarian in design. Doug would see a few crew members dressed in black and gray uniforms similar to modern military uniforms but with some slight modifications. Each one looked at Doug with surprise as he walked past them. He would see a few droids too and in one hall he even saw a woman with blue skin and two tentacles coming down from the back of her head.

"Of course. Sure, you can escort me." As the guard escorted Doug through the ship, he turned around and walked backwards every so often, just to look at all of the foreign technology on the ship. He silently wondered why everyone looked at him with either suprise or awe, he hadn't really done anything that important, had he?

At last, the group reached the bridge, where the Hylian pilot slowly approached a man standing at the console, who must have been Wilson. He then, after looking around, stood at attention and waited for the man to speak to him. "You wanted to speak with me, Sir?"

Lee

Lee had awoken not that long ago. He had been obviously quite confused because the room he had awoken in was like his own. The furniture looked the same and the windows of this room showed the Japan of this world while the ones of his bedroom showed the more mystical and high-tech Japan of his. The longing for his home filled him suddenly. He decided to focus on the details of the room now. A dark gray carpet floor, a king-sized bed with blue coverings, a high-end desk with a high-end desktop computer, and a small red fridge were all he had to focus on before the longing faded away. He thought back to what had happened the last couple days. He had seen things he had never thought could exist before. And the insides of all the things he had seen injured... nothing was comparable to the feelings in his head. His bile rose in his throat, and he looked through the various doors looking for a bathroom. A small library, a kitchenette, a walk-in closet, and finally the bathroom. He rushed over to the toilet and threw up. Gods... what was fucked up with the realm? Before he could decide against it, he went back into the bedroom and opened the small fridge. In there, he found various beverages. Some were energy drinks while some were alcoholic. He grabbed two beers and shut the fridge with his foot. He opened one easily and downed most of it immediately. He needed to drown his sorrows immediately if his mind was to survive. It wasn't even a minute before he began feeling drunk. He migrated into the library and got his laptop out of his Inventory. While he was getting drunk, he could learn more about this world again. And so he started burning time away with many drinks.

After a while, he had gone through another subject of interest, mainly the science of this world, before he felt restless. He had brooded enough for now, and his alcohol levels were starting to drop. He felt the urge to explore where he was. But before he did, he checked the books in the library. He grabbed any that interested him, of which there were six, and any that had Skills he could learn, of which there were three. He stuffed them in his Inventory before heading out of his room. The hallway looked like it belonged to a palace. Then he recalled that they had crashed near Buckingham Palace, as he had learned from a Google search. He walked around and found himself at the back steps. He found Kiara, Miria, and the older Link there. There seemed to be a little bit of tension in the air, but not confrontational tension. He could tell that much. "Hello." He said it in a decidedly friendly manner. He looked out to the sky, and right at the sun. "Hm. Seems a bit off color from my world, but then again, this is a different continent from the one I lived on in my world's version of the Earth."
I'm an autistic 19 year old who used to read a library's worth of books.

Call me JA. It's easier than typing out Japanese Americans.

The Great Wizarding War | Kiara and Polly

“Three moons? The world I was born on had rings.” Kiara thumbed the knuckle of her index finger, producing a harsh sound like a chorus of crickets at night. “Rings of bone and grass. I was gestated on one of them. I remember crawling out of my cocoon, being whisked away by saprophyte nannies… the patch where I was born is still dead. They built a dome of cartilage over it and burnt out all of the nerves in the ground.” She dug her heel into the earth, forming arcs of dirt on either side of her feet. “Everything was alive. The loam, the beaches, the water; all of it came from someone, somewhere. There was a mouth at each pole of the planet, constantly pulling in dead biomass and redistributing the nutrients. The equators were verdant, with leaves hundreds of miles long providing energy for it to grow. It had appendages as long as star systems which it used to draw in comets, planetoids and meteors that it could eat.” She looked briefly to the sky, a lustre to her words beginning to shine through. “I visited one of them, once. It stretched onward and upwards, coiling around like an infinite spiral spring. It was as thick as this whole nation, and long enough to stretch from here to Neptune twice over. The planet’s name was Adanais. His core was a heart and his blood was magnetized magma. The plants, trees and bacteria were all extensions of himself; saprophytes constructed to service the ecosystem. There was no more hospitable place in the universe. He was the only hive world willing to host me.” Her smile faded as she looked back down toward her shoes. “Your world is… horrifyingly dead. Standing on it feels like staring into the face of a taxidermied corpse.”

Kiara sighed deeply, gripping the sculpture - which now resembled a swallow caught in a stiff wind - like a stress ball. It let out a dull groan as it deformed, and her fingers gouged trenches in its surface. “They’re going to die here. They’re going to die on this rock. These… four-amino’d, barely sentient nuggets of long pork.” Miria’s question fell on half-deaf ears. It took the Kalmite a moment to process the question. What had the organism just done? It had delivered information. Medium: virgin acoustic. Type: speech. Function: interrogative. Every time she thought about home, every time she thought about her, she couldn’t help but feel as if where she was now and the people who surrounded her were frighteningly hollow and simple. Thus, she had to consciously bring herself down to their level whenever she felt herself slipping into the mindset that she used when speaking to others of her kind. Back home, they didn’t speak, they understood. A thousand hours’ worth of conversation could be cut down to just a few seconds of inference and supersonic chittering. “Skye.” She didn’t need to breathe but she let out a sigh anyway. “The… the kindest person I ever met. Tolerant, brilliant, titanic... ” She chuckled, only briefly. It was a human chuckle, deliberately formulated in order to deliver a message: Kalmites didn’t naturally laugh. “She even agreed to take a mishap like myself with her on this mission. But do you know why I asked her to let me come along?” She stopped even resembling a human in mannerisms and speech patterning. Her voice didn’t devolve, it evolved into a series of buzzes and chirps, filled with prosodic features and phonemes that no human could possibly interpret correctly, let alone replicate. Yet, it remained comprehensible nonetheless; it was still flawless English, somehow. In short, she was emotionally inscrutable as she said; “I had no one else to turn to. Without her I would’ve had no friends, no family, no guardians or pets. She was my only source of purpose, the only person I felt confident in saying that I knew. And now she’s dead, so... where does that leave me, exactly?”

Link’s awe was indescribably pathetic. Kiara wasn’t being pretentious or prideful, it was just an immutable fact. The city before them could’ve been built in minutes back home. It was the stuff of school projects and hobbyists’ works, not whole civilizations. The corners of her lips turned upward nonetheless. “Yeah. London is… pretty.” He was right about the second thing, too. He really couldn’t describe Hyrule’s sunset to her. These creatures, these humans and such, communicated exclusively through one or two media. Sound and body language: that was it. Kalmites had so much more nuance to them, so many more conduits to deliver information through. She wondered if she would ever find anyone who could appreciate her singing ever again; someone who could hold a no-holds-barred conversation with her. Right then, she felt like she was putting on a cutesy voice and talking slowly for the sake of a baby. “Well, if I ever get a chance to visit, I’ll be sure to hit you up on that offer. Sunsets in other universes; they never get old.” She waved away Link’s coat. “Oh, no, I couldn’t possibly.” But beneath that veneer of politeness and courtesy was a more pragmatic reason for refusing the garment: frankly, she didn’t need it. She felt a pang of some emotion, something that she was intimately familiar with but which she refused to acknowledge. Her heartbeat sped up and her fingers briefly clenched, causing the sculpture to bend just a little further. “Miria, you’re cold, aren’t you? Why don’t you have it?” She gave Link a warm grin. “Congratulations on getting knighted, by the way. So, what title should I call you by now? Ser? Lord? Plain old Mister?”

“Hello there,” she greeted Lee with a short wave and a nod. She gave off an impeccable image. She seemed to be at ease, at home, and among friends. All of her words were infused with kindness and understanding, all of her questions were loaded with genuine interest and innocent curiosity. But that was just a facade. Truly, she felt cold inside. The people who surrounded her were incapable of engaging her in any meaningful discussion - they only occupied two of her senses; sight and sound - so she couldn’t help but let her mind wander in between their words. “I’m going to find her. Circe.” Because honestly, Kiara wasn’t that much different from her blood. She was endlessly vindictive and utterly convinced that blame could always be ascribed and punished, and then after that, ascribed once more to the second-most responsible party. This was not a contradiction with who she had made herself out to be in the past: it was just that now, the psychological walls of guilt and shame that she’d erected were being broken down by a flood of other, more action-inspiring emotions. “I’m going to kill her.” Which was quite possibly the greatest understatement of the era. What she’d truly meant to say was that she was going to run her down and drag her out of whatever hovels she would dig. She would pierce the machine’s mind in a thousand places and watch the cunning, the intelligence, the insufferable pride leak out of her skull. Then she’d dash its body on the rocks and drown it in her own blood, putting her considerable mechanical talents to use by keeping Circe alive until she was either broken too utterly to continue suffering, or Kiara’s hatred subsided - whichever came first.

The sculpture gave one final shriek and snapped. Little metal shards littered the ground, twinkling like stars.

The Great Wizarding Rebellion
Miria

Skye was the one who gave her purpose? And...Kiara was lost without her.

Miria seemed to cringe at that. It elicited a strange reaction from the smaller girl, who found herself looking away once again, eyes fixed on the ground. It was almost painful to hear, because it mirrored her own feelings exactly. She didn't think that she could comprehend what Kiara was, or how her brain worked. The way she described her world, well, it sounded fine to the Kalmite, but Miria thought of it as some hellish sort of place. It terrified her. Kiara terrified her. But her feelings for Skye? That was something that she was able to sympathize with.

"I...haven't known what to do either.", She said. Her lips curled on one side of her face, and her cringe became a pained wince. "I've told you about my friend back home, right? Mistress Alana. Um, Alana. That's her name.", Miria told the group, although she was speaking primarily to Kiara. "I guess we're the same way. I sort of never knew my own family, but Mistress Alana's family took me in, and I've been her best friend ever since. Being with you guys and everything, it's the longest I think we've ever been apart, and all I've wanted to do is find a way back. I..."

She paused. She realized from how warm her face was that she was blushing. She hadn't really brought it up to many people yet, other than the fact that she was a servant. Her eyes narrowed, and darted to and fro, while she thought about what to say next.

"I...don't know what to do without her around either. Even if both of us were here, I'd be happy, but being alone is hard.", She said. One booted foot began to kick at the ground, scraping against the stone. "I guess all I have to do is not die until I can get things sorted out. That, and not change too much. I think that last part is harder than I thought. I haven't really felt like myself this past week."

She'd felt like a criminal, and a murderer. She'd watched people die right in front of her, and she'd gotten people killed with her own naivete. She'd even played with magic and ruined her best lead on getting home, and worse, she hated to admit, she enjoyed it. She'd enjoyed the feeling of power that the crystal had given her the day before, when she'd terrified the others, and silenced their squabbling. When she had been in bed, she'd replayed that moment in her head, and though to herself that she could actually save her friends and keep peace if she was able to use that power again - use her crystal. The one little sliver that remained as all she needed, along with a soul. That was what scared her, though - giving into that desire for more power, and using the soul of another to obtain it. Hell, looking at it as just a soul, and not another person's essence. The thought that she could even entertain that idea made her more than a little uneasy, and combined with her poor track record over those past few weeks, it only served as another weight to hang on the chain that seemed to be dragging her over a cliff that she was getting far too close to.

Miria shivered. Thankfully, Lee's arrival helped to snap her out of that little bubble of hers again, and she joined Kiara, cocking her head back to give him an acknowledging nod. "Off colour? Yeah. A bit."

Buckingham Palace
The Great Wizarding Rebellion
Sin

"I've had just about enough of these damned humans." Sin muttered to herself, fingering a strand of her newly dark-blue hair with a brown-skinned hand. She'd been following this "Wizard Rebellion" ever since its infancy, but didn't think to really get herself involved because humans were nearly always at war anyway and besides, she had far better things to do. But now it seemed that their little war had gotten out of hand, not only because all the silly humans were tying to kill each other, but because their very existence had now been exposed to the entire world. Now the humans would probably start hunting down her kind after they were done with each other, that had to be avoided at all costs.

Wars usually meant a large influx of souls on either side, and while a few died, not nearly as many as one would usually expect on something of this scale. Plus, if all the humans died then where would they get their souls and worshippers from? The demon race had nothing to gain from this deal, actually they stood to lose quite a bit.
“And now I have to step in, it seems. Dammit Dad, why couldn’t you take care of it?” Her father had insisted that she handle it, the conversation they’d had before coming her flashed across her mind.
This is your chance to prove that you really can run things here after I step down...that you can be a proper dread queen.

You, give up power? I highly doubt it...but I’ll do as you say, our survival depends on it.

“The second coming of Christ will happen before he ever unleashes his grip...it’s still my throne eventually no matter how much he may dislike it.” The trail had taken her here, to the seat of the British monarchy. She’d visited England quite a few times, it was actually very lovely. But why would they come here of all places? “Clearly to meet the British prime minister, what kind of question is that?” Now, to find a way in...preferably among the group of humans. Charming the guards had been easy enough, and her eyes fell on what appeared to be a small group gathering near the back porch though it was hard to tell from the distance she was standing. “That could be my ticket in...these humans would know something.” Straightening her spine, she began to walk toward the group as inconspicuously as possible.

Secrets of the Raven
Annwn
Scooby Gang

No one uttered a word after Ablert's bold declaration. The fact he easily dispatched Andarta before them was something Mai and Metis weren't expecting and now with the reveal that their new enemy was a seraphim with his own agenda the two wonder if their chances of success as only gotten slightly better or if it got far worse?

Albert would see Elizabeth raise her revelover up, barrel targeting his forehead. "Do you truly wish to deny yourself entry to heaven Ashwood?" The witch let out a chuckle, still feeling her neck throbbing in pain, as she held onto her neck with her other hand. She gave him a grin, giving the angel a defiant smug look.

"Heaven isn't bad but I've been through so much shit just to stop one wanker from creating their own paradise on Earth so why should I step aside to let you have a shot." She would pull back the hammer of the revolver. "Also I'm not in the habit of letting bolks who stab me in the back get away so easily." The angel gave the angel a disapproving look. One a father would give to a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum. It was aggravating to the witch to see and hear him mock her and everyone but she held her cocky attitude. She wasn't going to give him the pleasure of seeing her crack; not after the incident with the spear.

With her aim steady the witch closed one eye to use the single one open as a sight. "Besides, knowing you, my chances of actually getting through the pearly gates were low. I bet you use that line to get every gullible chump to do your dirty work?" Elizabeth puller back the trigger and the ignition mechanism within the simply made firearm would strike on the gunpowder contained within it.

The revolver would release a loud bag and a puff of smoke as the bullet soar through the air towards the angel. His expression not changing the angel would move one of his wings and the bullet would strike at the bundle of golden, incandescent, scales. The metal would emit a purple flash once it hit the scales with the wings obscuring his face no one would see Albert's eyes widen as he realized that the bullet he deflected wasn't normal.

Terry can feel the very fabric of spacetime twisting and curving on the point where the bullet was, gravity itself was sinking to small space that made up the bullet and with each parsecs the gravitational force on the small point in space grew.

Albert would quickly turn the spear to face his wing and with no hint of hesitation would stab it through his wings. The blade through the scales like bullet going through fine China, each scale shattering in pieces as the Thorn went through them and the connective fiber of the wing unimpeded. Albert would pull on the spear away from his body and push back, he would grunt as he felt the fibers of his wings being pulled out from his body.

The group heard a sickening wet tearing come from the angel as he tore off his wing, strands of fibers connecting to him before they'd ripped in half, some strands sticking on to Albert's back and others still attached to the dismembered wing. Albert would use his remaining wings to fly back as the now loose wing held in place in the air from the intense gravitational field it was stuck in.

The group would see the scales beginning to elongate into incredible thin strands, almost like strands of spaghetti, as they fell into the spot where the bullet hit the scales, now replaced by a small black orb that was sucking in scales and the air. The loud suction of the singularity would drown out the sounds of the scales shattered from the intense force being generated by the singularity. The group would see the wing be devoured by the black hole and soon it will evaporate into the ether.

"That was a dirty trick Ashwood! but what was to expect from a fraudulent witch" The angel raised two of his wings up as they form an arch, halos forming behind him as they form a wall of iridescence. Just as the scales could explode into a flurry of flying daggers he would see a Christmas ornament flying towards him. The angel showed no emotion towards it as he fired off a single scale to destroy the item. As the scale severed the ornament into two a flash of red light would engulf the angel as well as everyone. What most didn't see was the red plume of ash spilling out like smoke, but everyone can smell the putrid smell of the ash as it revealed its point of origins.

"Infernal ash." Albert called out before he began to cough violently. The halos began to grow dim as one by one each one began to fade. The angel grip the Thorn tightly as he can see the dark creeping in from the corner of his eyes. "Getting that from the Seventh level wasn't easy. The Minotaur nearly tore me to pieces when I let my guard down. But I'm glad I still manage to get some of the ashes. I had a feeling I might need it one day and I'm glad I followed my intuition."

Vincent said through the sanguine coloured smoke. Albert would begin to flap his wings to create a powerful gust of wings to blow away the dust, sending it back to the group, not only to get away from the dust but to use it to blind them.  Yet as the dust moved away he would see a section of it blow open as a blur rushed towards him. Albert would move the Thorn just in time to block the ivory and ebony falchions of Metis.

Looking at the android he scowled at her. "What a disgusting thing you are. A construct made from both divine and infernal machinery? The very idea of creating such an abomination is sacrilegious! Your very existence is an act of heresy of the highest caliber." Metis pushed forward as she tried to break through his shield, ignoring fury and disgust in which he used to hurl his insults. The android was surprised to see that it was her presence to make him show such anger. But in hindsight perhaps she shouldn't be too surprised. Wei has had to wrangle in a few demons that took offense to her existence as well.

Yet she can use that hatred to her advantage, the android thought as she broke off and leapt back as Albert nearly slash her chest with the thorn, the tip of the blade scratching at her waist and chest.

As she flew in the air she would flip her body upside down Once her view of the world was inverted she would turn her body to face Albert and would throw the two blades at the angel.

The seraphim would see the two spinning blades coming down and he would deflect them with little difficulty with the Thorn. As Metis landed on the ground she would conjure into existence the triple barrel minigun. The barrels whirling to life as a stream of bullets fired out from the machine.

Albert would cover himself with his three wings as another object was thrown at him. He only had enough time to sense the incoming danger as a large explosion would engulf him.

Metis would keep on firing her gun, standing her ground even as the shockwave threatens to knock loose vital parts in her body, or the blast of kinetic energy wanting to push her to the ground, not even the expanding heat and fire as well as flying shrapnel.

Metis ignored the few pieces of shrapnel that hit her body, scratching her armor or creating dents, while her visor came down to protect her eyes from both the shrapnel and glare.

Mai looked over at Vincent, letting out a whistle. "Infernal Ash and a Bomb experts? Aren't you full of surprises?" The siren gave the firebrand a side glance. "I only know how to make them due to my alchemy training. I'm no use for a bomb disposal squad." Vincent would look to Claudia.

The woman was on the ground on her back, her arms splayed out from her sides and she was surrounded in a halo of her own blood. The siren knew that she wasn't dead, she couldn't be. The Claudia he knew was too stubborn to let something as trivial as death get in the way of her goal. If living without a heart taught Vincent anything is that it might take the will of the gods to finally put her down for good.

He wouldn't be surprised if she was healing herself now. He had to keep Albert distracted. The siren would hear the whirling of Metis gun but see that she was spent. The large magazine for the gun would pop out and it would slide off the machine and fall to the ground, joining the pile of used casing that littered the ground.

A plume of smoke stood where Albert stood. "Mai! Incinerate that area now! Albert is most likely alive." The firebrand let a feral smile grow on her face as half her body combusting into flames. As Mai thrust her hands forward and unleash a stream of white hot fire like a flame thrower, the siren would take out a black sphere with red runes painted on it.

Metis not only conjured another magazine into her minigun but summoned an identical copy and was firing both with the command from her thought alone. Joining Mai as she fired bullets into the smoke and flames.

"Jackie!" She would hear Elizabeth shout. "Stand next to Terry. If things go south I want you two to get the others and bring them here." She would take out more bullets and open the chamber of the revolver. As she slid in each bullet the witch would say.

"You saw him about to throw the spear didn't you?" She asked as she slid in the final bullet. "He also saw you and you got too scared to warn me because he would have tried to kill you instead." She would close the chamber and she would hear a click that told her that the chamber was locked in.

"I should be pissed that you were going to let me take the hit like that. But I really can't be entirely angry with you. All you wanted was to see Andarta and you got your wish. This fight isn't what you ask and you know what, I agree with you. I didn't ask for it either."

She would look to Jackie as Vincent threw another black sphere with dark blue runes. The sphere would glow and bolts of lightning would strike on the ground. She would turn to look at Jackie

"We'll deal with that mess later. But I'm not going to do anything too drastic because you were afraid. I know I've done some shameful things because I felt like being a coward on a particular day. But you still owe me big for that fuck up."

Elizabeth would give her a small grin before turning back to face the cloud. Turning at the exact moment as Metis would suddenly wobble on her feet as the Thorn was lodged through her chest.

Metis looked at the weapon with shock and saw that Albert looked mostly fine. Sure some smudged spots, hair producing heat from being burned, and burn splashes on his body were visible, but the fact he showed so little damage after everything they threw at him was illogical to the android.

"I will not fall to a heretical construct, a bunch of sorcerers, alchemists, and false gods. But most importantly, I will not fall to a traitor." He would push the Thorn deeper into Metis body, breaking more components within her as more fluids similar to blood would spill out of her body.

The angel ignored Mai's cries to her friend and when she unleash a blast of fire at him he only responded by shielding himself with his wings. But as Vincent threw another item the angel would pull out the Thorn, causing more blood and pieces of metal and wires to come out, and fly into the air to avoid whatever explosion he would have fallen to. As the object fell he would see it was a tennis ball. The siren tricked him in order to release the android.

Metis would fall onto her knees before toppling over to her left side. "Metis!" Mai was going to rush towards her fallen ally but Vincent would block her with his arm. "Don't! So long as he is close to her that bastard will use her as bait to lure anyone in." he told her as he looked at the angel.

"I thought using hostages was against angelic honor?" He said with as much spit. He wanted to stab deep into Albert's ego. The angel frown slightly. "I don't have much pleasure doing this either but I will do whatever I must to achieve my goal. I can not fail."

The angel would summon more halos. "If you all stand down now I might ignore this fight and give you all a second chance to repent. This will be my final offer to turn back now before you all condemn yourselves to suffering far beyond your comprehension."

The angel warned, speaking to the mortals on a tone as though he was a stern father threatening to take away their favorite toys in order to make them behave well. Elizabeth was reminded of the workers in the orphanage she stayed in. When they weren't neglecting their job and being terrible caretakers they would always speak to everyone like that for the littlest thing, even when the kids did nothing wrong. She hated them the most because they were always looking for an excuse to humiliate and "punish" so called misbehaving kids.

Maybe she will burn down the abandoned ruins of that terrible place as a birthday gift to herself if she survives this fight?

As everyone waited for someone to come up with an idea they would see the tennis ball fly up from the ground and fly towards Albert. The angel would at first tried to stab it with the Thorn but the ball would turn to the side to avoid the blade, growing around just as he tried to flip the blade to the side as it travels onwards. Once the ball hit his chest another explosion would be set off.

Vincent couldn't help but to let a smirk form on his lips. "I will admit. That felt like something Ashwood would do." The siren ignored Elizabeth's outrage at the sleight against her planning skills. But the siren kept on talking. "Sticking a spirit within a bomb that was within a tennis ball just so you thought I was throwing junk at you, making you lower your guard. Then letting it guide the bomb to you like it was one of AEGIS smart bombs and bullets. I honestly thought it would fail considering who I was imitating. But I suppose even a witch known for inventing the bad idea can have a few good ones."

Elizabeth was shooting the siren a heated glare. "Fuck you pretty boy. My ideas are not that bad. They only fail because I have idiots as teammates." She shouted.

Vincent arch a brow as he looked at her. "You might want to rethink your words seeing as who you are with right now." Elizabeth would look at the others and flinch at the responses she saw. Anger from Mai. Hurt from Terry and Jackie. "Sorry guys." She weakly said as her shoulders sagged.

"I think hurting your allies feeling is the least of your concerns."

The dust would blow away to reveal Albert. His face and most of his head a charred skeleton. Most of his robes on the chest were blown to pieces as his torso was charred into a crusty mess oozing out boiling blood, bubbling pus, and other bodily fluids. The corners of the parts of the clothes not destroyed had burnt edges. Most of his remaining robes were covered with ash, blood, and pieces of his own skin.

Yet his wings still remain as golden incandescent artworks and the Thorn showed no sign of damage.

"I will congratulate you on managing to infect actual damage to me. I'm impressed how far you all want to damn yourselves." One of his wings would explode into a mass of feathers. "Here is my reward for all of your efforts" the feathers would fly down towards the group.

Terry would bend space itself to form an almost glassy fractal like barrier to take the feathers. "I should have known that even in his weaken state taking him out would be difficult."

Vincent saw that the wings behind him were still regenerating but at a glacial pace. The siren was glad for that small miracle. He would take out another bomb.

"Terrance, I need you to use your powers on this." Vincent would throw the bomb into the air Without needing any other words Terry would bend space around the bomb and make it disappear. He was tempted to direct the bomb inside Vincent or teleport him and the bomb to Albert and have the both of them be blown to pieces, but Terry discarded those ideas as quickly as they came.

Like it or not, he needs Vincent alive if he wants any chance of defeating Albert. With those traitorous thoughts put to bed he would make the bomb appear behind Albert's head. Just as the precious seconds for it to explode were up the mass of feathers went flying to the bomb and encased it in a sphere of golden spheres.

The sphere expanded slightly as flames jet out from cracks in the sphere. But soon the sphere expanded back to its previous shape as smoke came out from the cracks.

Elizabeth would aim at the angel and seeing what she was doing Terry created a bullet shaped hole on the wall just as she opens fired. Albert would have the scales form back into wings and as the scales still flew back into place to make his wing the angel will use his still reconstructing appendage to block the bullet with the parts now fully form.

As the bullet hit the wing Albert would feel his wing getting heavy. The angel would try to keep it up but the force pushing it down was far greater. As his wing pointed down the angel knew it was another enchanted bullet. With his regeneration slow down due to the dust he had no choice but to float down.

Once his shoes touched the ground Elizabeth would fire another bullet and like before Albert would block it with one of his wings. This time the bullet exploded upon contact. "I'm getting tired of your pyrotechnics." The angel chided.

"Oh too bad. Because we're not done yet!" Mai would summon her familiar and it would fire a beam of plasma at the angel. Surprisingly he took the hit. He made no attempt to dodge or to block it, he stood still and let the beam trap him in a pillar of superheated gas and fire.

Yet this beam only lasted for a few seconds as Mai let out a gasp. The group would see that from within the fire Albert had thrown the spear and with little time to react Mai was stabbed through the waist. Mai looked at the weapon in shock. It was the same shock that prevented her from screaming in pain even as every nerve in her body was firing out a chaotic onslaught of impulses to make her brain register the amount of pain she was feeling. As she trumbled she would hear something moving through the air, looking for the source for the noise she soon found it in the form of a few golden scales flying towards her.

Knowing that she can't escape Mai tried to call her flames but couldn't it, her will to broken to conjure out her flames or even her familiar. As the scales came closer to her she thought of people she knew in her group.

The courteous Theo and how she can count on him and Alex to cheer her up. How Richard was like a dorky older brother and Rolo being almost like a second father to her… actually, he was a better father than her own.

If Rolo was like a second dad than Alex was like her second mom. Sure she was vain, arrogant, and crazy, but she was oddly sweet and caring at times. Nix and Valeria may at times not see eye to eye with her and treat her like a kid like Wei but she still loved them

Most of all, she was going to mess Metis. Sure she and Weiss both act distant and cold most of the times. But she form an odd friendship with her once she realize that most of Metis's aloofness came from her not understanding how humans work. Unlike Weiss who just likes to be aloof.

Mai took it upon herself to teach the android the ways of humanity and in the process made a close friend. Yet around her Mai always had an odd feeling at the back of her head. One she always had when around Metis and one she can never find the right words.

Unfortunately she will never figure it out, as the scales got closer she wished she could see everyone one last time.

The scales would hit an invisible wall as they bounced off and landed. Mai looked at the scene with surprise. Even Terry was surprised as he didn't conjure it. Vincent would look around and he would see Elizabeth with her hand outstretched, her eyes changed, and an eldritch aura around her.

Once the scales stopped Elizabeth would drop to her knees, clutching her forehead as she felt immense pain. Wondering what happened?

Vincent wouldn't have the chance to speak as he heard Mai scream in agony as the spear was pulled out of her and it flew back to the charred angel. As the firebrand fell the angel march forward.

Terry tried to conjure a curse but soon was forced to change it into a shield as scales rain down on him. Elizabeth would see what was happening and take aim, firing several shots that would be deflected by the Thorn.

Vincent knew that the dust's effects have not yet faded. In lieu of his powers Albert was now channeling his rage of being beaten and humiliated to this extent by mortals.

As Albert continues his approach to Mai he would see Vincent running towards him. He would lift the Thorn over his head and not even giving himself the time to properly aim he would throw it at Vincent while sending out a few scales to him. The siren would move to left and would barely miss the Thorn but as the scales got close he would see the Sans barrier that Elizabeth conjured before appear to stop the scales, allowing him to continue on.

Vincent would take out the black sphere with red runes and throw it at Albert. As the object flew the siren would shout a word in the native language of the sirens, causing the runes to glow as they unleash a blast of madness. Vincent was inoculated from the effect but Albert began to scream as his mind was malfunctioning.

He would hear a gunshot and as the bullet entered Albert the siren would see not only the outline of his veins due to a blue glow but also his skeleton as well as strange objects inside of him. The angel was being electrocuted he realized.

However this seems to do nothing against the seraphim as he would call back the Thorn to his side. "I must admit you people are starting to make me feel slightly livid." The siren had the feeling that it was more than slightly. The angel would fly towards Vincent. The siren would take out a golden scepter and as it grew into a staff he would aim the winged egg on top at Albert, unleashing a stream of electricity.

Albert would thrust the Thorn to the attack and when it made contact the electricity did not travel up the spear, instead it ceased to be once it crashed to it. With the blade getting close Vincent knew that he had no chance to dodge, he has to deflect the attack before it hits

In the back of his mind he almost had to laugh that he was about to use the one invention he made specifically to deal with Ashwood. How ironic that he will not use it will fighting with her and her little gang.

From the back of the siren mechanical arms would sprout out. Each one had numerous gears acting as joints. Metals ranging from brass, iron, to titanium  could be seen. On the ends of each arm were metal spikes. One of the arms deflected the spear by pushing it aside from below the blade. A feat made easier by the angel being caught off guard by the action.

One of the spikes would open up and blast a stream of pressurized steam at Albert's face, another would stab him at the side and inject a venom made from different breeds of infernal vipers into him. It was by luck that the venom he planned to use on Ashwood can work on angels. Even if it can't kill him it can still weaken him more.

The angel would reach out and grab his face. "You damn fool. I was hoping you of all people would flee once you realize that there was no way for this to end in how you and Claudia want it to be. Why do you insist on dying for that woman?"

Vincent can feel his skull straining from the strength the angel was exerting on him. He would jab his spectre at Albert's waist and electrocute him, but that was not enough to make him lose his grip.

The angel wasn't much of a fighter but what he lacked in skill and experience he made up with both raw power and stubborn resilience. Vincent can feel his skull cracking, he doesn't have much time until he dies. Terry would bend space around him to create spatial rippled that form what looked like crystalline shards.

The space bender would unleash a barrage of ultra sharp glass-like materials at the angel but he would block them with his wing. Using this as his chance he would take out a bronze cylindrical object and point it at Albert. When he pressed a button the roar of a dragon could be heard as jets of purple flames came out.

That would give what Vincent wanted as the angel let him go. As the flames began to consume the angel the siren would drop several crystals before running away. The crystals would glow once they detected the enchanted flames. The angel would step on one of them and all of the crystals would release a bright flash before all of the arcane and spiritual energy within finally found a way to escape, doing so violently as it produced a powerful explosion.

The shockwave of the blast would cause Vincent to trip and fall face first on the ground . Even with Elizabeth and Terry away from the explosion they were still knocked on the back from the shockwave.

Vincent would ignore whatever his body was flying as he reached into his pockets and released a smoke elemental he had trapped. He planned to use it to act as a conventional smoke screen and to suffocate whoever was pursuing him. Perhaps it was too early but he didn't care. He needs to know if Claudia was safe.

As he got up he would begin to get up the smoke familiar would fly off somewhere. The siren would only take two steps in his search before he felt his senses warning him of danger. He would turn around to face the angel but as he saw his familiar be destroyed he would see the Thorn fly to him, tearing right through him right between his chest and abdomen.

"It's a shame things had to end this way Vincent. You really were a good man. Perhaps things will be better for you in the next life." Albert… or what remained of the broken Albert told the siren, calling back his weapon with the flick of a wrist. As the spear flew out a gush of blood left Vincent as his body failed him, making him fall on to his back.

"What a tragic waste of life that was. All for a deluded woman. Did you think you can save her from herself Vincent? I do wonder if friendship or love was what motivated you to throw away your life for Claudia."

The angel said as he looked at the group. Almost judging who would try to attack him, ot more likely, who else would he defeat.

Seeds of Anxiety
Lludw Cigfrain, Advent District
Abandoned Warehouse

As gunshots rang the two skeletons panicked yet they couldn't move, it was also the same reason why they couldn't respond to Ava in anyway after seeing her. They wish to warn them about the group of weirdos in the warehouse but whatever magic was holding them in place was also preventing them from speaking.

As Kelli was brought out the two skeletons felt small relief, both for her surrounding and the fact she didn't appear to the with the masked freaks. As two agents moved close to apprehend Kelli a loud bang would echo throughout the warehouse and the two agents would have blood exploded from the sides of their heads.

"Shit the girl has a partner!" One agent screamed as he aimed his gun at Kelli. Another gunshot was heard and the same agent would have his frontal teeth flying out from his tattered lips as the back of his head was also broken into by the bullet. After him another agent had a hole test through her chest and another would have the bullet go through his right eye.

As the three agents fell to the ground Denton would scream out. "We have a sniper with magic bullets. Spread out!" He yelled out as he and Dowell left with two agents as the rest broke away. Three agents would grab Kelli and force her to go with them. As the agents moved away none saw the two skeletons and the look of panic.

The two skeletons heard of the plan that the masked men had. This attack was doing what was attended: Separating the agents so the others hiding can take them out without alerting the others. The two skeletons desperately want to break free to warn everyone that there was more to the trap and they were falling for it.

Outside, as Constance overheard what was happening, she would not notice a dark rift forming behind her. Yet the scent of blood, rotten flesh, burnt metal, boiling chemicals, and sulfur would hit her.

From the rift a tall and slender figure with three fingers on each hand, and three toes on each foot. His entire body was clothed in black with a high collared cape draped over his shoulders. He also wore a matching top hat decorated with rope-like looms. His face is covered with a mask with four holes on top of each other with the upper three allowing him to see.

When the figure saw Constance the bottom half of the mask would allow him to show his wide grin and the row of sharp teeth. "Well now, what do we have you? An eyedropper?" The figure droning voice would say as he looked down at her. "We had no plans on what to do with evadroopers so I suppose I will have to be the one to decide on your fate. But what to do?" The figure would begin to chuckle as he thought on what to do with the human before him.

Lee was a little shocked that Kiara was mentioning killing someone, but it was obvious that whoever Circe was had hurt someone close to her. He remembered his parents suddenly, and how he had set out on a mission to kill as many monsters as he could. "I can sympathize with your hate. My parents were killed by a monster horde. Their powers were declining in their old age and there were too many to them to handle. That's why I became a Hunter and donned my father's old gear. That's why I even started my mission for revenge. Kobolds, zombies, drakes, giant spiders, anything I could defeat, really." He kept his voice level and his face still, but if one looked into his eyes, they would see the pain and hatred in them.

Tides of Change
Kabal

Tath heard Wison's question, and he thought it over for a moment before replying: "It might be best to see if you can't get my engines back online at least, although..." Tath grimaces, remembering a key thing: "You wouldn't happen to use Solar Rail Junctions, would you? I'm assuming you're able to travel faster than light, but if you don't have that technology I'm afraid my ship couldn't follow you even if my engines were online." The Solar Rails created two-way pathways through the Void, allowing those that passed through them to bypass great distances in a short period of time, but the Orbiter needed to use a special structure known as a Junction to enter the Solar Railway, as it could not do so on it's own.

Hopefully we won't need to run then... Tath thought, as he waited for Wilson to respond.
"Dream not of what you are, but of what you want to be."

Wilson would hear Tath talking about allowing them into the ship. The screen showing him appeared as a hologram for Doug to see as well. Using the Augmented Reality Overlay would have been more efficient but he didn't want to look crazy right in front of his guest.

"We will send our engineers to check your ship. We have FTL technology but we never heard of this Solar Rail Junction. You will have to share information on how it works so we can get an idea on how to fix it. If we can't fix it perhaps we can add a hyperdrive to your ship to act as temporary fix to your FTL issue?" Wilson suggested.

The command for the engineers to go to the shuttle was issued by the ship AI. The group would go down to the shuttle, which resembled a tilt wing helicopter. As the shuttle began to fly out from the cruiser it would move around using thrusters to push it toward the Orbiter. The ship would get a message asking for where the shuttle can dock.

The Great Wizarding Rebellion
Argos

Hearing Delilah messing up the word prospect did have the effect of making Dorothy and other members of her squad. They heard that her mind was altered to the point that she was like a child but they weren't expecting it to be this bad. "Are we really going to use a kid for our missions?" Dorothy thought, Caitlin had the same idea along with many others. Some with pity for her and others like Warren worrying that they will have to baby sit her to ensure she doesn't get herself killed.

"Can you tell us why you want to work with us Delilah? Do you think we can somehow help you with your condition? Or do you just want to be somewhere that you feel that you will be safe?" Dorothy almost asked if she has any family that can take care of her but she held back her tongue.

In her current state Polly most likely doesn't remember them or where she came from. The poor girl was alone now. Dorothy didn't want Polly to work out on the field with them or even be involved with AEGIS, yet she couldn't leave the literal woman child alone to fend for herself. Whether they like it or not she was their responsibility now.

The group soon turned their sight to Kayta who gave them a rather long name. It was better to just call her Kayta. "Hey Wes, is your real name as long as Kayta's" Jenkins asked, to which the big man just shrugged. "Maybe. You will have to pay me handsomely to reveal my full name."

Before Jenkins can complain Kayta revealed she wasn't too keen on working with them but she will donep because it was a part of her job, she also wanted to repay them for rescuing her. "Hey we were doing our job as well. Saving beautiful women from monsters is just a happy side effect." Mark said, flashing her his best charming smirk. Ivanoff rolled her eyes at the display along with Warren.

"Keep your dick under control Mark. I rather not have an extra-dimensional incident occur because you bed with someone important to some organization we don't know much from." September chided. Mark would mutter an yes ma'am before straightening up and becoming quiet.

Right now Kayta isn't a threat but until she felt more assured of her character Caitlin wasn't taking chances with her. But when the topic of the British government came up September would frown when they were called her friends. The atmosphere in the room got noticeably heavier when she mentioned the British.

"I refuse to see those rabid animals as fellow Brits or even as our "friends"!" Mark exclaimed, surprising the two with his much rage was beyond his words. "We are working together but we aren't comrades, not even in the slightest." Ivanoff words were much colder than Mark's own heated statement.

"We are here because the anomalies that caused this mess are still here and we want to get them back before the wizards begin to use them as weapons. Something they tried to do during the waning days of the Great Wizarding War. We also suspect the Brits might have a few anomalies in secret facilities to create new weapons. If those are true than we will have to steal it from them." Warren told the two.

"We are working with them because it is easier to do our operations with their permission than to hide from them. Plus unlike the Ministry they didn't start a war against us just to cover up their fuck ups. But that cooperation comes with a few prices for us. Like being limited on what we can field for example, the fact we sent a time using only kelver body vests and regular guns after you guys after one of our informants called us to your location. Besides those two being cheap for us to mass produced, we were limited by what we can use at the time due to earlier agreements. But since the Argos is here that means some of our restraints have been removed."

September explained to the two. The group would hear that they are approaching the hanger. The ride would soon end as they felt the craft landing. As the group left the VTOL they would see an orange crane come down and grab the craft, taking it up to the ceiling and keeping it suspended along with other crafts. In the hangar they would see jet fighters, drones, and helicopters. But they also saw crafts that did not appear to be made by them. Instead they were the spoils of the Multiversal War they fought in.

They would see the heavily modified Z-95 Headhunter, with its black, white, red, and gray paint scheme. They would see ARC-170 and V-Wings with the same color scheme as well as LAAT gunships. They would see a few X-Wings, A-Wings, and Y-Wings. They would find First Order Tie fighters, incepters, and bombers as well. They even found a few Cornerian and Venom crafts.  The two would see a Vulture droid on walking mode turn its head to look at them.

"Both Anderson and Johann aren't here now so you two want a tour of the Argos?" September suggested. Well a limited tour. She wasn't going to lead them to critical areas of the craft encase they get any funny ideas.

Sin turned toward the voice, one of the group had been the first to greet her...as she got closer she could feel the magic rolling off of him in waves, and he too had blue hair just like the form she was currently wearing. It was definitely a motley bunch alright, nearly all shapes and sizes of humans and nonhumans gathered in one place. A lot like home...except, I like the aesthetic at home much better. She lifted her hand to wave back at him, but nearly froze when he greeted her as a fellow magic user. How could he know that? Could this boy sense the magic inside others? And if that was the case...could he sense her true nature too beyond this human disguise? An ability like that was rare, and could be useful. After the wave, she cleared her throat to greet them. "Hello yourselves. I was content to stay at home and out of all of this, but the escalation of all that chaos made that pretty much impossible so, here I am. Pleased to make your acquaintances."

Lee relaxed a bit at her apparent friendliness. "Query, may I ask why you decided to come to the palace, of all places? You yourself should know that the... Muggles... are persecuting witches and wizards, even if they are friends." It was clear that he was not used to the slang of this world's magic folk, and the fact that he referred to them as if he weren't one of them showed he came from elsewhere.

Seeds of Anxiety
Constance

A...voice. Constance twitched. Nausea hit her like a truck. Slowly, she turned, her eyes on the floor, but slowly creeping up, towards whoever it was behind her. She looked away quickly when she caught the first glimpse of those long extremities. She let loose a nervous sigh, and slowly looked again, her whimpering growing louder as she saw more of the figure that had seemed to sneak up on her, reaching its climax when her eyes met with the demon's, and its wide smile.

Constance shrieked and swung around, raising her gun, but stumbling and falling back onto a trash can. Her hands were shaking, the .38 revolver jumping side to side, though still likely able to hit the figure, should it move close enough. Constance wanted to call for help, or ask who the hell the thing was, but at that moment she was simply too scared to speak coherently. Instead, she attempted to scramble to her feet, and push herself back, keeping a gloved hand on the wall of the warehouse to try and keep herself steady.

Seeds of Anxiety
Kelli

Kelli would grimace as her currently useless and bloody legs were dragged across the ground, trying to keep her yelps down the one-eyed Russian felt the three agents push through to an alley-way to the side of the warehouse when suddenly a smell made her eyes get cloudy with the visions of BMPs and her own skin burning. Quickly snapping out of it she saw a woman empty a small revolver into an odd-looking man smiling down at her. Elbowing one of the agents in the face she then pushed the other one away as she fell against the wall when suddenly an MG-3 with a 100-Round FMJ Belt spawned in her hands. Resting against the wall Kelli breathed and yelled: "Keep your fucking head down." Towards the other woman leaning against the wall and held the trigger down as in the span of six seconds the thing's center was penetrated with 100 7.62x51 NATO hoping it would do something she tossed the MG aside as its barrel glowed a bit before summoning an AKM and her webbing filled with six magazines still wrapped in FMJ and aimed it at the demon before this time letting a single controlled burst into its head.

“The Union? No, I was rifted here after escaping one of your makeshift bases. You can find the information about said escape in my ship logs.” Doug decided to stand ‘at ease’ even though he hadn’t been exactly told to, but he figured the man before him wouldn’t mind.

“I don’t know if I’m exactly part of the Union, per say, I mean, all I did was stop that organization on Malachor Five. That was a total disaster by the way. I’m still mad they sent the kid with me, he very nearly died.” The Hylian pilot looked up at the hologram then moved his gaze back to Wilson. “How long has it been here since I left? It’s only been two days at most for me.”

The Great Wizarding Rebellion
Buckingham Palace, Back Porch/Courtyard
November 1st, 2019/Rechal 1st, 1756, A. H; 7:10 pm

Link wasn’t really paying attention to the conversation, he was instead tossing the chain Elizabeth had given him from one hand to the other, while looking up at the now star filled sky, trying to figure out of the constellations were the same back home as they were here.

A golden ray of light shot forth from the chain and hit the grass before the few people standing on the back porch. Then, a golden portal appeared, and three birds flew through the other side of the portal, screaming cries of alarm as a landscape of fields and trees revealed itself through said portal. Something akin to church bells rang in the distance through the portal and then someone stepped through - a knight in armor adorned with the royal crest of Hyrule.

“Ah...Greetings, I was just patrolling the area when this portal appeared. People are going to services now and with the monsters running about, we’re supposed to protect those that go to services.” The man spotted Link and ran over to him. “Gods alive, it’s you! We all thought you were dead!”

“I am very much alive. How long has it been since I left?”

“Two weeks, Dragmire seems to have vanished, no mages or scholars can determine where he ran off to. The Queen wishes to speak to you, obviously, and bring the others with you. Myself and a few others will escort you back, if you wish.”

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I need no escort. I can handle myself, as well as the others. Go ahead and tell Zelda that I’ll arrive at the castle shortly.”

The knight nodded and ran back through the portal, which mysteriously remained open. Link looked back at the others and grinned. “It seems that you’ll be able to see that sunset after all. I don’t know how this portal appeared, exactly, but I have a chance to return home for a while, and I’m taking it. You can follow me if you want or stay here.”

With that, the Hero of Twilight walked up to the portal, then stepped through. If the others followed him, they would find themselves alone on a dirt road, with a wooden fence and overgrown trees lining the road. Up the road a bit was a massive castle and a town surrounding it. Behind them were open fields, some of which were being worked on and planted. To their right would be a mountain with a smoke ring around the top, if they looked close enough they would see the very top of the mountain glowing slightly. There appeared to be a village below the mountain. To their direct left was a stone bridge. Beyond the bridge was a roaring waterfall and a fenced path running up the rock face/hill.

“That castle in front of us is Hyrule Castle, the town below it is Castletown, to your right is Death Mountain, to your left is the Bridge of Eldin. Beyond that is Zora's Domain. Ordon Village is behind us, Kakariko is the village that sits beneath Death Mountain. Any questions?”

"I'm well aware of that dilemma." Sin said to Lee when he highlighted the main reason for the rebellion in the first place. "I wanted to see if I could help stop it...I was content to let all of this chaos unfold if I could be completely honest but now it's starting to harm me and my family, and thus I have an obligation to help stop it now." She knew that sounded pretty selfish, but Sin could really care less. "I thought that the people involved could keep it contained, but apparently I was wrong in that endeavor. If the world blows up to hell, that spells trouble for all involved, including me..." When she opened her mouth to say something else, she was silenced by the appearance of the portal that formed from the chain the green-clad elven man was holding. When a knight stepped out and spoke of an urgent emergency, she raised an eyebrow. "So, this clusterfuck is spreading to other worlds as well...wonderful." she said somewhat sarcastically before Link beckoned the others to follow him through. "If I am to be here assisting, I suppose I should introduce myself. My friends call me Sin, pleased to make your acquaintance once again."

To be completely honest, Lee had almost started to cast a Spiral Mana Bomb when the chain made the portal. Not that he'd admit it. The magic of the sword Link carried had probably masked it from him. His magic sense wasn't that relatively strong since it was directly tied to his maximum mana amount, which in turn was tied to his Int. He mentally sighed as he realized that going on tangents like these were going to be more frequent the higher his Int. was, along with a sudden burst of information. He listened silently to the knight and Link talk, and figured that the portal led to Link's home. At the mention of mages and scholars, his interest piqued. More magic for him to learn, surely, if he could get hold of some books describing it. Spurred on by this, he followed Link through the portal into Hyrule. When Link asked if they had any questions, Lee waited for an opening to speak. "Are there any bookshops in Hyrule that contain descriptions of how to use magic and spells?" To Sin, the newly introduced potential ally, he said, "My name is Lee, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance again."

Call me JA. It's easier than typing out Japanese Americans.

Seeds of Anxiety
Lludw Cigfrain, Cymru
Rosanna Dawson

Dawson immediately ran for cover when the shots rang out, crouching behind a pillar next to a couple of other agents. "I don't suppose any of you brought any firepower? Could really use a machine gun right about now!" Her nose twitched again though, something new was in the air. "Brimstone?" she mumbled? "The hell's that about?"

<You're not just looking at humans.> Kivela snarled. <I'd recognize that stench anywhere.>

A demon?

<I'd know.> she asserted. <You're out of your league now.>

What? No, I can handle this, we can't risk anything major with this many witnesses! Just be quiet and-

The argument was cut short when a bullet struck Rosanna in the back, piercing through and exiting her gut. She wheezed in pain, clutching her stomach. She looked down at the ground, now soaked in crimson. She tried to press her innards back in but it was a mess. She felt her eyes growing dim from the blood loss already, when her whole body began to take on a burning sensation.

"No... no not now! Not here!" she said looking at her hands as the bones erupted to inhuman size, before other parts of her body began to tear and expand. Fur began sprouting all along her body as it grew in strange and unnatural ways. She screamed in pain and bent over double on the ground before finally her clothes ripped off and the scream turned into a loud howl, where once there was an agent now stood a near eight foot tall canid monstrosity.

Kivela backhanded the agents near her, shoving them out of her was as she leapt into the air and dug her claws into a steel support column, then leapt off of it and onto the platform where a masked man stood with a rifle.

The agents on the ground would hear a lot of screaming, accompanied with sickening crunching sounds as gore splattered the area. The wolf suddenly back in the middle of the chamber near the skeletons, and growled as it began moving towards the door low on all fours. The fur around the muzzle and limbs was matted down in blood and viscera as she edged closer towards the other demon's location.

Tides of Change

PGM Daeqoria, Kabal Orbit

Captain Wilson closed the meeting with the PGM Daeqoria with an invitation aboard his starship, before signing off.
"I look forward to working with you, too."

Ovelia gave another nod, before the comm link was ended.
"Prepare a shuttle to the Vindicator and let them know I'm heading over." her hair swooshed through the air as she pivoted, walking towards the door of the ship. "Wish me luck!" she teased.

The CIC came alive as the crew murmured happily. As they went about their work, the room gradually became more silent, the voices eventually overtaken by the clatter of keyboards and the fast hum of printers.

Valerie straightened her posture.
"Everyone," she projected. "I will be leaving this post for a short time to have a talk with a guest. I understand we have a delegate from the Multiversal Union aboard."

With a nod and a quick salute, she turned around and was on her way. Immediately, an older woman stood up from the Operations Center and saluted.
"Supervisor Machegre ready to fill in for Coordinator Cerimon II, as per the order of succession."

The Vindicator, Kabal Orbit

A massive, rectangular shuttle made its way alone into a large hangar on the Vindicator, floating effortlessly until crossing the hardlight shield which served to keep the pressurized air inside the starship. Once under the influence of the ship's artificial gravity, the shuttle used large jet engines to keep itself afloat and steady, as four retractable legs extended from the bottom of the hull. A massive bay door opened in the back, and Admiral Sagalyn walked down the ramp and out, flanked by four guards, each carrying what appeared to be automatic rifles, barrels pointed straight down and to one side, at attention.
