Brief Bio/History*: The descendant of one of Earth’s greatest hero in the Information Age, Ume Umemura, Rei was born on Mira where her family follows the example of their hero. Unlike her fellow brother who tried to follow Ume’s odd quiet and born to fight adventurer as a samurai, Rei realize she would be hidden in the shadows by Ume and decided to follow her own path. Such way led her to enter the Royal Space Defense Academy to hone her skills greatly not only her mecha and become a naval space officer.
When she became a captain for UWS Starlight during the Stardust conflict against the “bugs”, Rei made a daring attempt to turn the tide in the planet New Neptune against an overwhelming odd. Thanks to well placed crippling blow at the enemy’s fleet formation, and risk her ship to protect a key ship, they were able to repel the enemy. In reward for her service, we was reward a medal and promoted to admiral to the UWS Empyrean.

Rei Umemura is professional in her role as an admiral and follows the tradition of her family by the bushido code. This manifest greatly when she shows her patriot attitude, loyalty to Silverdale, and honoring her queen. As Rei is concern of the welfare of her crew and others, Rei prefers a diplomatic approach and avoid needless bloodshed if possible.
Outside the rational and honor bound of her role as Admiral, she is a social butterfly and energetic around others. She is very knowledge/nerd about technology of starships, coding, AIs, and even ancient machines (think the ones in the 1970s), and overall acceptable to the technological state of Silverdale.
