It's a long and somewhat confusing story involving the seven deadly sins, a lot of people dying, evil twins that just will not stay dead, and basically it's just long and somewhat confusing.

Really, I just want a chance to use these.

Starting off with a couple of old favorites, because it's just not HH without Syrixces's utterly bizarre idea for Charlotte to actually be a mega-powerful whatsit. (Yes, it was originally Sy's idea. I just sort of went 'well that sounds interesting' and then looked into Hebrew lore, and then, well, it actually became a thing.)

And also, my adorable Flandre-winged smol. I cannot give up the smol, or her Flandre wings. Because adorable smols are fun(in fiction), and Flandre has the best wings of all the wings. Fight me.

The App

Name: Charlotte

Mythos: Pretty much entirely made up. :p

Powers / Abilities / Domains / Gear: Well, she's an angel. She's got some useful stuff on her plate--wing manifestation, what the superpower wiki vaguely calls 'divine force' manipulation(you know how it goes, constructs, barriers, attacks, that sort of thing), and healing, healing is a thing she can do.

Age: In human terms, you could call her seventeen. I guess angels age really slowly or something, I don't know.

Mythical Origin: Well, she was and technically still is an angel, but bad things happened, as they usually do when I'm writing, and now she's not allowed in Heaven anymore. :(

Personality: Timid and unobtrusive, usually doing her best not to draw any unwanted attention to herself. She used to be much more stable, but now... well, now she's not. She has conflicted feelings about God and Heaven and all that, because traumatic past. Very fond of Mara. Please be nice to her as she has a lot of mental problems and is easily upset. *puts on Handle With Care sticker*

Appearance:
Image

Favorite Subject: Since when has anyone ever cared about her preferences?

Likes: Mara, being treated like a normal person--wait a second, since when has this mattered?

Dislikes: Injustices, betrayal, her past, herself, being shouted at, being touched unexpectedly, surprises in general, and of course all of this is going to happen anyway because no one actually cares about her wishes

Theme Song: Here

The App

Name: Mara

Mythos: So very made up.

Powers / Abilities / Domains / Gear: Well, according to Sky(our resident expert on the subject), an amount of power that a small child really should not have... Which makes sense, considering that her parents' abilities added together encompass a lot of things. Heaven, earth, and hell... this kid's got it all.

Let's all just be thankful that she doesn't actually know that.

Age: Four. *tilts head* Weird, I know.

Mythical Origin: Ahhh... well, let's just say that it's not a happy story and leave it at that, shall we? *looks around* Come on, you already know it, and the newbies don't... and I like surprising people.

Personality: A regular little bundle of sweetness and light... perhaps a bit too much for her own good, really. This isn't to say that she's entirely naive... she's seen some things. Not that she wants to talk about them--or think about them at all. She's a child--she's just having fun with life.

Appearance:

Basically a tiny Charlotte, except with slightly darker hair and one gold eye instead of blue. Also, has this lovely set of wings.

Favorite Subject: Uh, anything's fine if she can do it with people she likes.

Likes: Pretty much everything!

Dislikes: A couple specific memories, when Charlotte gets sad, people who don't know how to be nice... Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the 'likes and dislikes' stuff?

Theme Song: Here you go.

And now, for someone new! :D

The App

Name: Morrigan

Mythos: Celtic

Powers / Abilities / Domains / Gear: Primarily associated with war and fate. Ferocious with any weapon--she can summon weaponry for herself, though not for anyone else. Able to shapeshift--her favorite non-human form being the crow. Can predict violent deaths, though she no longer attempts to intervene after realizing that it never actually does anything. Also associated with fertility, crops, animals, that sort of thing--so she can manipulate plants and communicate with animals.

Age: 18

Mythical Origin: I wish I could tell you. Honestly, Celtic mythology is kind of hard to research. As far as I can tell, she just... showed up.

Personality: Surprisingly cheerful, for someone as connected to death as she is, though she can have some pretty serious mood swings at times. Appreciates the little things--a warm fire, good friends, not being bothered by incessant visions of horrible deaths. Easily distracted by shiny things. Prefers to not do her job, because it's kind of a downer.

When she does, though, she can get almost sociopathic--not seeming to care at all about who lives or dies. In that situation, it's probably wise to avoid her.

Appearance:

Image

She's pretty chill most of the time, though.

Favorite Subject: She's not much of a 'responsibility' person. So, uh, none of them? Is music a subject?

Likes: Being able to just enjoy herself without worrying about who's going to end up dead next, relaxing, good food and good friends, shiny things, et cetera, et cetera

Dislikes: Actually fighting, her job in general, people dying, stress and responsibility and all that jazz

Theme Song: This!

The App

Name: Red

Mythos: Some post-apocalyptic cult. Think of the Immortan Joe type from Mad Max.

Powers / Abilities / Domains / Gear: As the god of war, violence, and dominance, Red doesn't really have any awe inspiring powers, really, other than his immense physical power and durability, which, in his current setting, isn't all that useful.

Age: 17

Mythical Origin: It is said that there was once a boy, born of blood and war, who rose to become the fiercest, blood thirstiest, most irredeemably violent, cruel, and unstoppable force of nature within times of great chaos. As it was, Red was born during some great, unknown conflict, cut out from his mother's wound, and grew up to be a very intimidating person. His godhood was attained by the murder of various tyrant's and other formidable foes that seemingly no mortal man could withstand. As such, the people of the wastelands began to see him as a god among men.

Personality: Red, in general, is actually a fairly nice, easy-going fellow. He likes to be helpful and cares about his friends. However, he can be a bit physical with people, to the point that he might seem a bit needy. His true nature tends to come out when he gets competitive, as he can be very much ruthless and aggressive. He loves an excuse to fight, and will take any opportunity he gets to do so. Luckily, his pent up aggression is usually taken out during sports.

Appearance: (If I can can find a good image, I'll use it later, but I suppose a description will do for now, sort of as a placeholder. The description provided may not even be the end result.) Red is a very, very large fellow, standing at barely just 6'10"/2.09 meters, and weighing at 368 lbs/ 167 kg, with a very muscular physique (though he has a bit of a belly) and broad shoulders. This, plus a bit of beard (a rather short one), makes him look like more of an adult, though his youthful, somewhat chubby face, helps confirm that he is rather young. His hair is naturally light blonde, but is dyed a vibrant red colour (including his beard), with the sides of his head shaved. He generally wears worn out military fatigues and old tank tops, many of his pants having torn knees and duct-taped-over holes. He generally likes to wear black, but is perfectly fine wearing other colours, generally ones that are dark and earthy. Just like a normal person, however, exactly what he wears depends on multiple variants, mostly weather and temperature.

Favorite Subject: Physical education, weight training, sports

Likes: Fighting, working out, sports, eating, dogs

Dislikes: People who act all high and mighty, snobs, cowardice, cabbage

The App

Name: Charlotte/Shekhinah

Mythos: Some odd mix of Judeo-Christian and totally made up.

Powers / Abilities / Domains / Gear: Powers? Powers?! Uh, she's the daughter of God. Her domain is glory and justice. Specifically, she's basically the Old Testament counterpart of Jesus, except stuff happened so... no one's really ever heard of her. A bit of an illustration on how the scary amount of powers work--we'll steal from her brother's repertoire. She could turn water into wine if she wanted to, for whatever reason, but if she did that, somewhere in the world somebody's wine would turn into water... her powers require a balance. Equivalent exchange, I guess. No one's ending up as a suit of armor this time, though.

As you can imagine, though, this can make things... complicated. This combined with her current mental state means that while, in theory, she might be a serious problem, in practice she's... really not. (Unless you hurt Mara. Then you're just asking for it.)

Age: In human terms, you could call her seventeen. I guess gods age really slowly or something, I don't know.

Mythical Origin: Old Testament version of Jesus, basically. Living incarnation of God's glory, and justice. Unfortunately, bad things happened, as they usually do when I'm writing, and she is no longer permitted in Heaven. Also she's seriously screwed up and her soul is kind of ripped in half. It's a bit of a problem.

Personality: While Charlotte herself is more timid and unobtrusive, usually doing her best not to draw any unwanted attention to herself, her Shekhinah personality is much more forceful and less caring about other people's feelings(and has a view of morality more black and white than a zebra and penguin musical in the 1920s). Before the two were split, they were a much more stable personality, a mixture between the two, but, well, nowadays they're much more... extreme. Shekhinah can barely even stand occupying Charlotte's body because it feels so wrong to her. (Disclaimer: Shekhinah is not a nice person. Luckily for everyone else, most of the time the only person she can talk to is Charlotte. So there's really only one person who has to deal with her... and of course that one person is probably the worst candidate to deal with her. Hello, my name is Charlia and I'm addicted to tormenting my characters.)

Appearance:

As for Shekhinah, well, her real form is pretty much just light. Ever looked straight at the sun? Multiply that exponentially and you might be getting close. The more sinful a person you are, the worse it is. Those who are sinless are able to look at the light without fear of being blinded or burned, but even the smallest spot of blackness can cause Shekhinah to turn against you. (Again: she's not a nice person.)

Theme Song: Charlotte's theme, Shekhinah's theme

Mara is fine, accepted.

Charlotte/Shekinah is going to have to be severely nerfed. For one, God is an NPC. “Living incarnation of God’s glory” then is invalid. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also NPCs. (I now have to make an update for the rules.) As a note, Zeus is also an NPC for similar reasons. You would do better to simply make Charlotte a Nephilim. Then list some powers she could have from the Power Wiki.

Morrigan looks fine, but I would nerf one of her powers.

I can ditch the 'courage and fear' thing for Morrigan, but I'm going to need you to explain what the heck God being an NPC has to do with anything... considering that it was that way in the original HH too.

EDIT: Having read the new rule... she's not God. Or Jesus. Or the Holy Spirit, for that matter, since people actually know what that is... She's not even really a cardinal figure in any religion, since from what my research has told me, Shekhinah was more of a vague force than anything else, and isn't even really a thing at all, nowadays. So, I'm not sure what the problem is. :eyebrow: For all intents and purposes, she might as well just be a random, completely made up deity of glory and justice, except that she has connections to the Judeo-Christian pantheon to make things a little more interesting. Not that that even matters at this point, since those connections were terminated and she hasn't seen Heaven in years, thus depriving her of any benefit she could have gotten from them.

In short, as I said... I'm not seeing the issue here, you're going to have to clarify.

I mean, I could just have her be the daughter of some random, powerful god in a random, totally made up pantheon, I suppose.

You specifically said she is Jesus in the OT. Jesus is an NPC. Shekinah is “the living incarnation of God’s glory.” God is an NPC. I really cannot make it anymore clear. Shekinah has to go, or you will have to massively nerf your characters.

New OP has slightly new rules. I’m modifying the playing field to make things more fair for everyone. Furthermore, “the living incarnation of God’s glory” is not a power. I need a list of sorts, doesn’t have to be long. Once we have a list we can better see how the character needs to be fixed.

I think we're on two different pages here.

I said she was like Jesus, but an Old Testament version. Or, at least, that's what I meant. Not actually Jesus, or God. (That would be weird, because they are generally seen as male.)

Like I said, though, I can always go with the 'ditch the Judeo-Christian stuff and keep everything else' route, since that seems to be your problem with the whole bit. Unless I'm still misunderstanding, which I'll admit is entirely possible.

Excellent. Now I actually (mostly) know what you want me to do.

The only question I have left is, are we ditching the Judeo-Christian part or not? Because if we are, I can edit that in along with a more fully-defined power set. If we're not, then I can just edit and add aforementioned fully-defined power set. *twirls pencil* Just a clear answer on that and I can get to work.
