At the age of 16, his father helped him enroll into the military where he became an officer almost immediately due to his martial skill and family’s wealth. It was when he turned 17 when his life changed, which was when he had first encounter with a lesser dragon in a battle at Baltso Keep. His division was the first tasked with dealing with the dragon, which really meant it was a suicide mission. As his men were slaughtered around him, Silas lunged at the beast and landed on its head, stabbing at it repeatedly to no avail. He was eventually knocked off, and before the dragon could finish him, he felt a strange power overcoming him and summoned a great torrent of water and hurled it at the beast’s mouth, extinguishing the flames about to be belched. This scalded the dragon’s throat, and forced it to flee with half of Silas’ division still burning and a shocked Silas staring out into the distance. From then on, Silas was enrolled in the Royal Dragonslayer Academy where he graduated amongst the top of his class. He is stationed at the capital, and is commander of the elite Castle Guard which is the city watch’s last line of defense were dragons to attack.

Due to this, Silas was granted early privilege as a commander of some soldiers at Baltso Keep where he has helped fend off many dragon attacks with the combination of his dragon-kin power and swordsmanship. Regis looked through the various papers scattered about in front of him, most having to do with requests for more troops in the east to help the campaigns against the orcs. However, under some of them he found a strange amulet he didn't recognize. As he touched it, he felt an urge to get up and go....somewhere, somewhere he had never been before or dreamed of. He brushed it aside however, as he heard some of the members of his Royal Council coming to his office. Regis quickly got up and walked to the balcony overlooking the city, and admired it's beauty. Ever since he had conquered it's previous rulers over 30 years ago, it had become the second biggest and grandest behind only Vasten.

His palace could be seen from almost everywhere in the city, and was a marvel to behold. The council members arrived and took their seats in the room, with Regis soon sitting in his own chair overlooking the rest.

"Your grace, I bring news from around the Shimmering Tower." said Court Mage Cacilius. "It seems as though scouts around the area have spotted an orc warband near the Tower itself. Should we send a detachment of soldiers to the Tower in case it needs help defending?"

"No, not until we hear from the Archmage himself Cacilius. We have an agreement to not interfere with one another unless completely necessary. Besides, I'm pretty sure the Guild can defend itself from a few pesky orcs."

Next to speak was General Villen Corax, commander of the armies of Eroria and friend of Regis' for many years.

"King Regis, I'm sure that you've heard that the orcs in the east are increasing their attacks on our easternmost colonies and cities. We have received messages requesting for more men and mages to assist in defeating them. I propose-

"That is preposterous my king, we need those men and wizards here in the West!" said Cacilius. "We all know the rumors of dark happenings and occurences coming from the West, and the present threat of attack from the elves or even the dwarves. We're already spread thin your highness, perhaps it's time to consolidate our power and use our men and wizards to protect our current borders instead of expanding them. It's-"

"Enough! I will think on the matters today and we will meet again tomorrow to make our decisions." Regis turned to Cacilius and then said "Send a message to the Shimmering Tower and ask if they need any men to help them against any orc warbands."

With that, the Council all bowed to Regis and left him one more to ponder."

Abilities would be something like
-Regenerative Abilities (He can regrow and regenerate his appendages and body relatively quickly, albeit painfully, as long as his head is intact)
-Poisonous Blood (What else is there to say, his blood is a virulent poison once it is no longer in his body)
-Camouflage (A Hydra is a type of Marsh Dragon which blends in with its surrounding, My character can blend in with surroundings (not turn invisible) but is definitely far harder to spot and smell (@dragons) for most)

Short Bio: Heather was born to the Keep Magistrate of [the one next to the Misty Forest]. Her mother the Magistrate was in charge of managing the supply flow and non-military staff of the Keep. When it was discovered Heather was a Dragon Kin, her mother petitioned for her to stay at the keep and study under the Dragon Kin masters there, a Frost Dragon Kin, an Electric Dragon Kin, and a Fire Dragon Kin. She trained for six years there, working every day to make herself a killing machine. She never showed much interest in the actual work of fighting dragons, but she took like a fish to water when it came to patrolling the borders for the bands of wild beasts that roamed the Misty Forest. Able to bend many of them to her will or make herself a better version of whatever the attackers were, she was allowed to lead her own patrols by the time she was 14. She took to studying biology in her free time in order to maximise her shape shifting abilities, able to find ways to cleverly give her different forms "powers" that were simply tricks of biology.

However, when she was 16 the capitol could be put off no longer and she was taken to the training academy. Due to the rarity of Animus Dragons, she met no one with her unique abilities and has had to find her own way with her powers. Now, with the danger of potentially the end of the human world, this girl who may be more beast than animal has to wonder whether fighting to save the humans is worth it.

Shape Shifting - She is able to turn into any kind of animal or human. The more she turns into an animal, the less time it takes to transform. Transforming into normal animals takes about a minute if she is turning for the first time, and about five seconds is taken off every additional time she transforms. The least amount of time she can transform in is five seconds. For animals from her imagination it usually takes about three minutes the first time she transforms, and five seconds less each subsequent times, with the least amount of time it takes being ten seconds. When she is injured in a transformed body she can turn into another animal and not suffer more than a light shadow of that injury. However, she will not be able to use the injured transformation for 36 hours while it heals.
Animal Communication - She is able to communicate with animals. This extends to all human languages as well.
Animal Lordship - She is able to bend most animals to her will, with some individual animals being to strong of will to bend and humans and dragons as a species simply being too complex and intelligent to bend.
Enhanced Body - She has enhanced reflexes, senses, strength, speed, and agility. She is untrained in formal combat due to her perhaps dangerous over-reliance on her shape shifting.

Did you read the Rules? Yes. I didn't see any of those trick things in there, like "Say blue so I know you read the rules", but I might have missed it. You are an umpire, you said a word that is a synonym for penis in rule seven, and your rules were seemingly fair.

For my dust dragon soul, could I make it so that, in comparison to an earth dragon, the dust can be expanded farther into sandstorms of larger areas than an earth dragon's abilities? However, the soul will not be able to move giant pieces of earth & can only shave off some pieces from the ground & can't form them into islands (they would collapse) or anything solid aside from sandstorms. In other words, it's a specialized earth dragon who's more focused on harassing or slowly grinding down enemies rather than summoning islands of earth, throwing rocks, or anything like that. This would also probably mean that the user can create sandpaper (if you happen to have any other ideas to make the dragon more different from an earth dragon, do suggest).

Hydra isn't a Dragon. Its a separate beast found in the Misty Forest

Decently enough. As compensation for how pathetic a sandstorm might be in comparison to other spells, the costs of the abilities aren't too expensive. Of course, the cost increases the faster the sandstorms are or the larger they are, & the cost in magical power for a sandstorm that can grind away at dragon scales will certainly be pricey, but not impossible. might be better to send the dust into the dragon's eyes, nose, or mouth, actually... on second thought, maybe a dust dragon may be a bit powerful since any dragon needs to have a nose or somewhere to breathe, right? In that case, a whole lot of dust could be used to clog their nose & either suffocate them if they can't get it out in time or at least make it harder for them to run away since there's less air circulating.

Could she turn into a dragon that is only ten metres long? Not that she would have the powers of a dragon, just the body of one.
