Age of Imperialism: A Colonization RP (Interest/OOC)

The year is 1884. Countries such as Germany have suddenly risen to power and seeks to set itself a spot on the world stage. While Germany and Italy are in the process of unification, the nations of Europe turn their eyes to Africa and beyond. In the Far East, Japan, (having been approached by the Americans 3 decades prior), has its own imperial ambitions, currently creating alliances and modernizing since the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1868. In the Americas, The United States also seeks to form a colonial Empire, eyeing the Philippines and the Caribbean. Gran Colombia has the entire South American continent under its grasp. The Ottomans, once one the influential empires in Europe, has seen its role reduced. With new powers rising and old ones faltering, who will emerge as the greatest empire in this New World?
